AP Lit ruined my life

So I took AP Lit this year and we read 'How to Read Literature Like a Professor' by Thomas Foster. No everyone is Jesus. Not in a religious way, in an "I know you're alluding to Jesus because you mentioned the number three" way. Gansey Boy is the lord Jesus Christ. Like I know that was obvious but I never thought about it as a very not religious person until now. The resurrection, the miracle, the sacrificial death. Guys I feel stupid.

It’s that time for me to post something every 2 months, so hi! I’ve been really getting into poetry lately thanks to AP Lit this year. You guys I LOVE my AP Lit teacher. He’s so goofy and brought back my passion for writing, truly. Anyway, here’s a poem I wrote :3 btw I’m 17 and a high school student PLEASE have mercy I’m still learning

I’ve seen people speculating the alternate name to Frankenstein, and its significance. I’m sure this has been said plenty of times before, but I thought I’d put it out there just in case, or to at least talk about the book. Because my AP literature class is not cutting it for me. They don’t even want to discuss. I’m going to pull my hair out.

So!

What if Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is also called “the modern Prometheus” not because of the actual actions of the book

(although Frankenstein’s actions of bringing forbidden knowledge and being “cursed” because of that have some elements of the actual Greek Prometheus)

But instead relate to the end of the story. Where Victor and his creature are bound in a cycle. Where Victor hunt his creature down, until he can continue no longer, and his creature will return and nurse him back to health just enough to continue the Chase. It is like Prometheus’s punishment by Zeus. Chained to a rock. And having his insides pecked out by an eagle every day. Only for the injury to heal, and the torture continue.

The creature is the eagle as much as the magic that he heals Prometheus, Victor. And the rock and chains, victor’s guilt and internalized responsibility to destroy the creation that stole his life away.

Guys…. Predicted exam scores time </333so I’m doing this before and then after the exams and gov is tmm….

AP us gov- ok so I took this class over the summer and into the start of the year so I don’t remember too much on the writing so I’m kinda cooked? But also I hear it’s REALLY easy and I’ve done so much review and heimler so maybe I’ll be ok. Idk the amendments that well 😭 but ik the cases so I’m thinking a 4. If I REALLY lock in maybe a 5🤞🤞🤞 but I hate saying that 😭

AP Micro economics- ok so this class is so hard to me bc I just hate paying attention 😭 also I finished it like January so I don’t remember much writing wise, but all my friends were still in it and I helped them a lot so I kinda know it. The graphs I think I can do, so?? 4??? But like give or take a score point, like maybe a 3 or 5 😭 that’s such a margin tho

AP stats- this class…… I did not pay attention all year….. kinda cooked but I did a really good review, so maybe a 4? If they ask me how to find outliers I’m good 😎

AP lit- ok I think a 4 MAYBE a 5 but only if the multiple choice questions are easy and so is the poem question. I love writing but I HATE analyzing poems bc I never get it 🥲

AP computer sci A- … 3 but if the stars align and the MCQ is easy 4… the FRQs are so easy at least

AP calc BC- ok so I love this class and if I don’t get a 5 I will be devastated BUT I HATE POLAR CURVES AND UNIT 10😭😭 so maybe a 4 🥲 if the unit 9 FRQ is parametric or only one polar I can do it I think

AP research honorary- 4! I liked my paper but I just hope they do too. My teacher LOVED my presentation so I’m not worried on that

google is ur best friend while studying and doing long-term projects!! in all of those ap classes and you have to annotate a thing and you don't know what to annotate for? google it!! there is somebody out there on the internet who has done this before you. you have all of these resources at your disposal, so why aren't you using them?
