It should echo back to the beginning, but everything’s different now. If your ending doesn’t hit like a punch to the gut or a slow exhale, it’s not done yet.

i religiously reread alexa chung’s 40 pearls of wisdom every few months. she’s probably one of the coolest people currently living, and is a founding mother of the “It Girl” phenomenon. When it first came out, i read it on my own, then proceeded to read it out loud to my friend Amanda while she was driving because i found her ideas so great that i needed to share it with someone else. i’m now 22 years old (taylor swift year, yay, but also slightly terrifying), yet i confidently announced i was 21 the other day because i don’t actually think 22 is a real age. however, in 22 years and through living maybe 5 or 6 lives, i think i’ve acquired enough knowledge to maybe provide a younger version of me some advice.
