Lighter Relationship Headcannons

🍓Hi. I'm a liar. I sat down to write more of the alphabet requests and got possessed. This was the result. Anyway, he's so fucking everything to me. I hope the two zzz fans that follow me enjoy this because I'm going insane keeping all these thoughts in. Not putting this under the cut because I can't be bothered sorry gang. Gn.

-Lighter is, and I mean this with my entire being, the biggest walking green flag in the history of ever. Ironically, considering he’s the red scarf, but it’s the truth.

-He’s such a well-meaning guy, always considerate of others and incredibly caring to those he considers close. It’s hard not to imagine that he’d be a fantastic romantic partner, but like, how is he really in a relationship? (Lucky you, I’ve been obsessively fantasizing about it, so now you get to find out!)

-Lighter has most likely had a few partners, though none of them he would categorize as “serious��. Most of them were when he was significantly younger and way more stupid, and he cringes looking back at how he acted.

-He was a good-hearted and sweet kid, just… really fucking stupid about love. Most of his relationships either didn’t end well or were just nothingburgers that left him and his partner unsatisfied.

-As he got older, specifically after everything he went through, he didn’t want a relationship. Especially when he was still, you know, fighting because he quite literally wouldn’t have been able to maintain anything meaningful. (He’s well and convinced he would’ve been a miserable partner to have during that time, and he’s definitely right.)

-Even after joining the Sons of Calydon he’s not really looking for a relationship. The idea is nice, sure, someone to call your own.

-Someone you can love and care for and who will do the same for you, it’s all lovely on paper, and Lighter would never say he wasn’t a romantic… but he’s gotta be realistic about it. When the hell is he gonna have time to maintain a relationship?

-He loves the girls, but they keep his ass busy – and that’s not mentioning everything else in his life that either gets in the way or would put a potential partner at risk.

-So, Lighter is okay just enjoying the thought of a relationship, not pursuing it.

-And… then he meets you.

-Meeting you felt like taking a punch to the gut, hard enough to knock the wind out of him.

-It’s not like it was love at first sight or anything, but it was definitely a whirlwind of something that Lighter had never experienced before, and it scared the shit out of him. He’s patient and reasonable, and he does his best not to let too many people in too quickly, but damn you were something weren’t you?

-It takes him a loooong time to feel comfortable feeling the way he does about you, and he’s really awkward around you – not that you can tell, because Lighter's “awkward” just makes him seem aloof, like the strong silent type.

-You think that’s just how he is, but the girls know better, which only makes it worse for him. Expect lots and lots of forced alone time with Lighter because everyone ‘suddenly remembered’ they had something to do.

-You’re none the wiser about their scheming, but Lighter’s actually losing his mind because you are… really fucking cute to him.

-Now, regardless of how long it takes him (or you) to talk about how he feels about you, the relationship is going to be slow and steady.

-He hasn’t been with anyone in a long time, he wants to do it right this time because he cannot – and I must emphasize this – he cannot lose another person.

-This relationship is going at Lighter's pace, not yours, and if you don’t like that you’re probably not gonna last long with him. (So genuinely do not bother, for his sake.)

-It isn’t like he doesn’t value your thoughts and feelings, though. If you feel like you’re ready to move onto something else with him, he’s gonna sit and talk it out with you because he’s not a fucking prick. He just needs a partner who is willing to be patient, because he has been through a lot, and a long-term dedicated relationship is very new and very intimidating to him.

-It’s a series of slowly warming up to each other, getting comfortable with all kinds of affection, and learning what each other is and is not comfortable with.

-Once you learn about each other, everything is so incredibly smooth, and I promise on my life Lighter is the best partner you could ever ask for.

-His only issue and I say this very lightly (heh), is that he’s kinda bad at confronting issues he has head-on.

-Normally he lets his fists do the talking but… he’s not really the biggest fan of socking you in the jaw sorry.

-He’s bad with words, and he’s only eloquent when he’s not trying to be, but he also knows that leaving an issue unresolved can be a death sentence so he will talk to you about things that bother him. Just give him a little time, even if you notice something is off. Patience is a virtue with him.

-Now, if you come to him with a problem he’s all for it. He’s clumsy about it, and he doesn’t know what to say depending on what it is, but he’s more than willing to change some things or work together to find solutions with you.

-Now, with that background established, let's talk about the fun stuff before I explode.

-Lighter is the best. Maybe I’m biased, but he’s so fantastic because he’s done a lot of work on himself as a person, and he values the relationships he has so much.

-To him, as your partner, you are his number one priority all the time no matter what. If you need him (and it’s an emergency (to him everything you need him for is an emergency)) he will be there, or he will ensure that someone will be there until he can be.

-No, this doesn’t mean his setting aside his responsibilities as Champion, and he isn’t going to set down every task he’s doing to answer your beck and call. He has a life outside you that’s important to him, but if something is wrong and you need him he’s going to be there. Always. Unless he physically cannot stop what he’s doing.

-Needless to say, Lighter is protective of you. Incredibly so.

-He’s aware you can handle yourself and you’re not some feeble damsel in distress, but he worries a lot. He’s got a lot of targets on his back, and if a single one of those ever shifts to you he’d tear apart the entirety of the outback to ensure you were safe and sound.

-He can control his anger pretty well, but if anyone laid a hand on you I’m pretty sure it would take all of the Sons of Calydon and then some to pull him off whoever did that shit to you.

-He’s also the jealous type, believe it or not.

-He doesn’t care that much when mutual friends of yours are cuddly and cutesy with you. He knows those people, he knows you, there’s nothing to worry about. Someone he doesn’t know, though? Good luck.

-It doesn’t matter if they’re your friend, he doesn’t like it at all. He abandons his usual post of watching from the distance to be right up in your space. Constantly.

-It’s so easy to tell when he’s jealous because suddenly there’s a gloved hand on you all the time and you can’t quite seem to get it off. How odd. Oh, there’s a pouty (intimidating) man attached to it, who would’ve thought.

-He doesn’t want to lose you, and he won’t apologize for that.

-He’s so cute, trying to keep the intimidating persona while clinging to his partner. (It’s really scary for anyone not in your close circle of friends).

-Speaking of, Lighter really struggles to keep up the cool guy look around you. He’s so incredibly weak to your whims and wants, he can’t help but let you cuddle up to him.

-All you have to do is bat your eyes at him a few times and usually, he crumbles like chalk. If this were a sport he’d be the champion of giving you whatever you wanted all the time.

-When he goes to the city to run errands for the girls or any other reason, he picks you up cute little trinkets or things that remind him of you. He does it without even thinking too. One second he’s on task, the next he’s buying you flowers and he doesn’t even realize it.

-You occupy a very big chunk of his everyday thoughts, he can’t help that you bleed into things.

-Speaking of, he sends you a ton of messages when you’re out. He likes keeping up with what you’re doing, where you’re at, who you’re with, etc.. He does the same for you, constantly telling you about what he’s up to and sending you little pictures of things he sees.

-He’s a helpless sap, okay.

-Unfortunately, though, he is at war about PDA. He likes it, obviously, but not too much, please?

-He has a reputation that he needs to upkeep, which means you can’t always hang off him, as cute as he finds it. Time and place.

-He’ll hold you at your waist if you’re just standing or walking around, sometimes an arm around the shoulder depending on what’s comfortable. If he’s just with the girls he’ll let you cuddle up to him as much as you please, but if there are a lot of people around he can’t do a ton of cutesy shit.

-Not that he dislikes doing it, but the embarrassment would actually kill him if anyone pointed out how weak the great “Red Scarf” was for his partner. (Everyone already knows this anyway, but it’s the principle).

-Genuinely the only exception is when he’s jealous because the only thing that crushes his pride more is having his relationship disrespected right in front of him.

-Behind closed doors though, Lighter is such a fucking idiot for you. He love love loves sappy romance films and he wants to recreate all those cringy moments that make you sick to your stomach with how sweet they are.

-Chasing you around his or your place, play fighting, twirling you around, or slow dancing in the kitchen to some oldies. He loves all of it, and he wants to do all of it with you, please indulge him. It’s not often he gets to be so free.

-He does the cutest thing when he tells you to get all dressed up packs up a picnic basket and takes you out on his bike to watch the sunset together. You lay there for hours after the sun has set just talking because his favorite thing is talking to you.

-He isn’t much of a talker himself, but he can listen and listen and never get bored of your voice. Just spew random bullshit at him, he’s fine with that, he just likes watching your lips move.

-If he gets tired of listening (which he never will) he’ll just kiss you until you shut up, so don’t worry too much about him.

-Also, I feel like this goes unsaid, but he takes you on plenty of rides on his bike. If you compliment it he’ll get all puffed up like a proud cat, it’s really cute.

-He stares a lot, by the way. Does this come as a surprise?

-He does a lot of standing around and watching, if you happen to be in the vicinity, he’s watching you most of the time. You’re just nice to look at. Lord help him if you turn and smile at him, or give him a wave.

-He allows you to play with his hair in private. He’ll lay his head down in your lap and let you rake your fingers through it, massaging his scalp and ruining his perfectly fluffy hair.

-He will also let you play with his sunglasses, so long as you’re careful with them. If you put them on your face and pretend to be him you’re in for some tickling though.

-Oh, please wear his clothes, pleaseeeeeeee wear them. If you walk out in his shirt he has to do a factory reset. You look so good in his clothes he can’t handle it.

The only thing that might be a little off-limits is the scarf, but even then he might wrap you up in it just to see you wearing the symbol of his strength. His two biggest prides in one? He likes the sight more than he’ll admit.

-Genuinely, he is such a good partner and I could go on and on and on about him, but this shit is like so long already so I have to put the breaks on.

-He’s just such a caring, loving, fun guy to be in love with and he will treat you like a goddamn king/queen all the time because he believes that's exactly what you deserve.

Mammon:

You're going to give him a fucking aneurysm

Mammon loves you so much, like this man is WHIPPED, so if you ever get hurt all of his protective instincts kick in

He's overprotective even if you don't get hurt. If it looks like you're in any kind of danger, he's right by your side anyway worrying about you like a devoted puppy

And then when you inevitably do get hurt, you *apologise* for it? Even though you're literally dying (he thinks)???? He's not having it!!

While he'll definitely chide you while he helps you recover, he's really just trying to cover up the fact that he's unbelievably worried about you. Pride isn't his sin but damn if he doesn't have way too much of it

It doesn't matter how many times this happens, he never gets used to it. And every single time he demands you don't apologise, but also demands that you be more careful not to do it again, lol

There is also a small part of him that does not want you to get hurt because he's the one who's been tasked with supervising you, and he knows Lucifer will ground his ass if he finds out you've sustained moderate injury (or worse. confiscate goldie)

He sometimes wonders how you can possibly be so nonchalant about it, because you're a fragile little human!! how aren't you more worried??!?!?!

Honestly this mf is such a hypocrite because i KNOW his ass is clumsy as shit too, but it's not okay when you do it because he loves you, and he doesn't like seeing his loved ones get hurt. So you better not keep letting yourself get hurt, got it??

Leviathan:

Do you want me to be honest? Do you really want me to be honest??

After a while, he would just start filming you whenever you fall and making compilations of you eating absolute shit

Like, clearly it doesn't bother you. After the first few times where he gets all frantic and jittery, he learns not to take it too seriously

(Unless you genuinely injure yourself of course, which he'll panic about regardless of how you react)

Every time he sees anyone get hurt, in any way, ever, he'll point and be like 'haha babe that's you'

He doesn't want you to sit in his gaming chair because he knows you'll roll around in it and then inevitably fall down, damaging both you and the chair in the process

Levi would never admit this, but the more you hang out in his room, the more blankets and pillows he leaves on the ground where you guys sit to watch anime/game together. Claims it's to make you more comfortable but mostly because he doesn't want you to get hurt while he's watching you

He's so used to you wandering into his room, bloody palms/head/knees, that he begins to keep a first aid kit in there for you (he would also totally buy you anime-themed bandaids let's be honest)

His biggest struggle with all of this at the end of the day is when you enter his room while he's livestreaming and the chat starts spamming about the fucked up bloody ghostly spirit in the background and he has to be like 'no that is the loml actually'

Satan:

Satan is so normal ❤️ he's so Studio Ghibli man coded and I'll die on this hill

If you come home bleeding, he'll do all the classic romantic shit for you. I'm talking the gently cleaning your wounds, bandaging you up, making you warm tea, reading to you while you rest in his bed AUGH 😩

He'll ask you to please try to be careful and stay safe from now on, because he just couldn't ever get anything done constantly worrying about you the way he does.

You always promise to try and be more careful, but that promise is, somehow, never kept (he lets it slide because he's a sweetie)

When you two are cuddling in bed together he'll gently caress and trace his fingers over your assorted bruises and healing scrapes

Satan doesn't let you apologise for hurting yourself, either. He reassures you that it's okay, but he really does just want you to keep safe and well

He is willing to carry you sometimes to avoid you slipping. He'll also make sure you stay away from sharp objects and he'll idiot-proof his bedroom so you can spend time in there. This man will take no chances because he wants to hang out with you that much

Satan catches you if you trip because he's romantic like that. Tbh he's been so conditioned into expecting it that he's always on alert whenever he leaves the house with you

Congratulations, you pavlov'd the devil into being gentle and caring. Do with this new power what you will, but for the love of god please be more careful

Asmodeus:

You are actively driving up his concealer consumption because he keeps having to USE it all on you because you won't stop BRUISING

Dabbing some of it over a hickey he gave you is one thing. This is unreasonable, he says, it's ridiculous!

Asmo is so worried you'll get some kind of infection, so he's so careful when he does your makeup. He has alcohol wipes and warm cloths to clean your cuts and bruises and everything

He begins carrying bandaids with him just in case. He's really gentle when he puts them on, it's basically an intimate ritual between the two of you at this point

Tbh though he does love to pamper you, so he doesn't mind spending his time undressing you, washing you, cleaning you up and then cuddling you for the whole night (among other things- this is Asmo we're talking about)

You genuinely have nothing to worry about either, because you could just be a walking bruise and Asmo would still think you're the cutest human in the three realms. He'll still participate in an unacceptable amount of PDA regardless of how hurt you are and that's the Asmodeus guarantee

He's really way more worried about you than you are. He *insists* that you're more careful, because if you were to get seriously injured or die, then who oh who would go clothes shopping with him then?? Who would he have to do makeup on? Whose nails would he have to paint? The absolute horror

(What a drama queen lmao)

My mans is not beating the down bad allegations anytime soon, but he doesn't care because his precious little lamb is hurt!! And he can't have that, not at all.

Solomon:

Lowkey unbothered

You think this dude has lived 200+ years to not know healing spells? Nah. You wander up to him and he's just like 'tut tut. why are you like this' and fixes you right up

It's not that he's fine with seeing you hurt−he's not−but he takes little time to get used to it, and being as powerful as he is he knows he can just heal you

He kind of secretly enjoys being your healer. He likes the way you rely on him for that kind of thing, because let's be real he's got a dom thing. Don't lie to yourselves folks.

Whenever he sees a new mark on your body he'll sigh and ask what happened, more out of mild amusement than exasperation. If you're too embarrassed to answer he'll chuckle but not press further

Solomon is a teaser. He'll tease you about this, and there's nothing you can do about it. What are you gonna do? Tell Lucifer? They don't have a PACT (lmfao suck it)

(This is gonna be very embarrassing for me if it turns out they did make a pact in nightbringer and i don't know because i just never fuckin played it)

Anyway, you notice that as time goes on, whenever Solomon holds your hand, his grip gets just that little bit tighter. Like Satan, he is always prepared

Maybe he really is secretly worried about you. Who knows? Solomon is a wild card, but if there's one thing to be sure of, it's that he'll always be there to help heal you no questions asked.

A - Admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?)

Let’s be realistic, he probably loves everything about you

You’re probably his first of many (probably only ever) relationship and ofc he’s grateful someone he actually likes, likes him back

If we’re being more honest here he probably loves how you go along with his jet black wings act and whenever he mentions dark reunion

Like- he knows fr that he’s delusional but at least you go along with it because you know how much it means to him

Not to mention how often you put up with him and his delusions

I mean- not only do you do that but also reassure him when he’s feeling a bit self conscious

Ofc he’s gonna love you, but this is just one of many things that he adores

A - Attention (how much attention do they want in the relationship?)

Kaidou loves having your attention but it still leaves him flustered all the same

Kaidou is pretty starved for attention and affection so once he gets it he absolutely lives for it

But then again- this is Kaidou we’re talking about so he flusters and stutters whenever you shower him in attention

He gets all tense and awkward but the way he leans in to you or way his head is held high doesn’t go unnoticed by you

So, all this to say that he wants all the attention you can offer

He lives for it and it honestly makes him all giddy and flushed

Ofc if you ever stop he’ll try and get your attention again but he’ll end up just keeping it to yourself because he doesn’t wanna be a bother

B - Body (what is their favorite part of your body?)

Honestly Kaidou feels so guilty and perverted for liking your hands but especially your lap

(Ofc he likes ur looks but ima go into that later)

So he feels the worst guilt ever and feels like a pervert just because he likes your lap and your hands

Honestly he mostly ends up staring at you just whenever and wherever and most times he zones out and does it by default

So he’s so flushed and stuff when he’s accidentally staring at you and feels like he’s a weirdo

Especially if you ever catch him

He feels the worst and genuinely apologizes

Now, if you ever ask- which you don’t even have to cuz he makes his likeness for your lap so obvious

Once you first have him rest there he loves it

Ofc he’s too flustered to initiate but he loves it all the same

(He mostly cuddles you by grabbing your arm or leaning on your shoulder as a safe option)

Anyway, he loves how you look

I mean cmon, kaidou thought he’d never pull a baddie

But still, so ofc he’s gonna compliment you all the time

Not just cuz u look good but just overall

B - Boo! (do they scare people? How do they act when scaring you/people?)

He’s both the one scaring- and the one being scared lmao

Kaidou tries to be scary sometimes with you

Most times you’re the one probably doing the scaring since Kaidou is so jumpy and easily scared 😭

But when he does try and scare you you’re usually just 🧍‍♀️or if not and act scared then he feels so accomplished like- 😭

Ok so when he scares you if you’re the type to not be scared then it’s ok he’s used to it because of Saiki (no it’s not he’s crying himself to sleep)

But if you genuinely do get scared then he feels accomplished then genuinely apologizes for scaring you 😭

Now, it’s more likely that you’ll go to the school festival at the haunted house thing there and be scared

It was probs a dare from Nendou that’s taken a little way too seriously by Kaidou

He goes in with you because he swears he gonna protect you from dark reunion (he isn’t he’s actually scared shitless and wants someone to go with)

Once you go in he’s scared constantly and is screaming at the top of his lungs 😭

He swears he’s doing the protecting but if you say/do something that has to do with protecting him from dark reunion then he’s head over heels again and lets you

Although a bit bummed he wasn’t able to the way he wanted

B - Beauty (what do they admire about their s/o? what do they think is beautiful about them?)

Kaidou thinks you’re attractive all around

I mean it’s part of why he initially started liking you and ofc he thinks about it all the time

That doesn’t exactly mean that he’ll tell you directly

That’s too bold for him and if you were to ever try to poke at him for answers- let’s just say you’ll have to be dealing with someone on the verge of exploding

He’s flushed from head to toe, stuttering and most times he’ll close himself off from you whenever you bring up him liking how you look.

Now, Kaidou absolutely admires you for having qualities that he doesn’t have

You’re confident, you can actually protect him, and actually take what he says seriously

You actually listen and the fact you can handle yourself is not only admirable in Kaidous eyes but also something he’s sorta envious of.

Of course nothing ever comes out of that envy he feels but it’s still there

C - Cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?)

Getting this man to cuddle with you is a huge hassle

But once you manage to have him there- it’s definitely worthwhile

Now, don’t get me wrong- Kaidou loves the idea of being so close to you but actually doing it? It would be the death of him

So when the time comes and you guys actually do cuddle he’s all blushy and nervous

Kaidou loves the idea of being held

I mean he’s pretty starved for affection and previous times from when you coddled him and held him he’s been into it

So this time is no different- you open your arms and take the first step (because, let’s be honest, who else will?)

The two of you end up being in a position where you’re holding him and cradling him

He’s honestly enjoying it the whole time and his loud thumping heart beat makes that obvious

He’s such a cutie while cuddling too

He’s too nervous and can’t trust his voice but asks you if you’re ok with it all the same

And ofc you’re ok with it but it’s still sweet of him when he’s barely holding on

D - Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)

He’s probably just as delusional in his daily life as with your relationship

So he’ll be casually day dreaming of the two of you going out on a date, but where to?

Well, it’d be at a cafe

Not only would it be in a booth so he’s with you- but also enjoying sweets

Not to mention it’s out of school and away from his mom so ofc he’s gonna like it

Once you two actually do end up going on this dream date of his, he’s so excited

He’s literally buzzing and is pretty nervous

Ofc things go as good as they can and it went without a hitch

Probs cuz Saiki decided to help with disturbances but you’ll never know

E - Emotions (how do they express emotion around you?)

Kaidou is his usual self

He’s pretty expressive with his jet black wings act and usually goes out of his way to do that around you

It’s pretty usual

However, he also learns to express his inner feelings

Ofc it’s only after a while- I mean remember him crying in the restroom stall in that one episode? LMAO

Eventually he learns he can just tell you how he feels but is definitely hesitant to because he’s scared to have your image of him change

Once you make him more comfortable then he’s even more expressive

Especially since he has his emotions on full display most times 😭

E - Equal (do they prefer to be more in control or laid-back in the relationship?)

He likes to think he’s more in control

He loves to pretend dark reunion is around and goes on about how he’d protect you

You of course play into it and that makes him happy

But in all honestly you’re probably the one in control

He doesn’t exactly hate it but rlly wants to be the one to protect you rather than the other way around

He thinks and occasionally says this however once you take the initiative he’s literally the most flustered person you’ve ever met

He becomes putty in your arms and in all honesty prefers to be spoiled more than anything

But honestly I feel like if he were to ever say anything about it it’d mostly be after he feels comfortable to

Regardless, it’s obvious to everyone and anyone that you’re the one more in control

And if u like this man, you probably expected this

F - Future (What are their plans for the future? Do they see themselves getting married, having kids?)

Honestly Kaidou is just existing

I’m gonna be real, he never expected to have a relationship with anyone much less someone he feels so loved by

So maybe if you love him just as much then he’ll be happy at the idea of marriage

But then again, it’s too much too soon and would prefer to just experience your relationship now and decide later

He never really thought about it either but knows it’s probably something in his future considering how people usually get married once out of school

Now, kids are a whole other thing

He’s pretty hesitant about marriage so image children

Does not like the idea of kids at the moment

I mean not only is he trying to enjoy his life but it’s honestly just not on his mind

F - Forgiving (If they had a fight with their partner(s), how would they apologize? Or would they be petty about it?)

I feel like Kaidou would apologize relatively quick

He’s not gonna be upset unless given a reason and if it’s something stupid or small then he feels the worse

He’ll apologize probably even if it’s not even his fault because of how scared he is of you breaking it off with him

I mean most times when it comes to holidays (especially valentines) he doesn’t expect much

He’s always the one giving even in the past when he’d be made fun of

So he’s ok with gifting you stuff without getting anything in return

He’d cry himself to sleep

But when he gifts you it and you say thanks he’s glad- then turns to leave since the bell rang

However he doesn’t expect you to call him back and shove something in his arms

Kaidou is actually really gentle

Both physically and emotionally

He’s pretty often discarded as a person by others so he knows how it feels to be mistreated and not feel like he belongs

So ofc he’s very gentle and makes sure you’re ok

I mean most times whenever something goes wrong he apologizes and tries to tend to you best he can

He doesn’t really know how to handle emotional situations so all he knows is to try to make you feel better

All that tied together is him being gentle with you

He’s pretty patient and this is mostly because of how you put up with his antics too

He’s not only this way emotionally but physically

I mean dude is not the best at physical stuff so most times he gets pushed or scared easily too

With that in mind he tries to be nice emotionally and physically

Like yknow how people play fight? He doesn’t rlly like doing that even if you say it’s fine

Realistically he’d fly away if u pushed him but it’s the thought that counts

H - Holding Hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?)

You and him probably held hands when you guys were casually walking after school

You had decided to go shopping just for fun and it just sorta happened

You’d think that you’d make the first move but Kaidou went ahead and surprised you by taking your hand first

He refused to look at you and when you tried getting his attention he couldn’t bring himself to ignore you

So he turns to you and his face is fully flushed and refuses to speak in fear that he’ll stutter and have the worst voice cracks he’s ever had

The two of you continue the whole time until Kaidou lets go

He ends up confessing to you that he was scared that his hands were sweaty later on in your relationship when you were sharing random stuff 😭

You guys usually hold hands when you’re walking somewhere and rarely at school too because of not only how teachers make a big deal but the students too

Plus Kaidou is too shy for others to see

He loves to just hold your hand like a regular person

Seriously, idk how other ways you can hold hands so let me know maybe it’s just me that doesn’t know

But that’s pretty much it

He gets better over time with dealing with his emotions but he stays pretty much the same

HE LOVES HUGS

Ofc it’s a jumpscare when you first hug him

Mostly because he’s so touch starved but also because he’s never been in a relationship before

Anyways, you guys rarely hug because of how anxious and fidgety he gets when you guys do

It definitely also takes a while for him to hug you back and especially initiate a hug

So most times you don’t really hug he’s usually leaning his head on your shoulder and cuddling up to you like that when you’re just sitting down-

But when you do hug it’s really sweet

He’s warm and you can finally have him in your arms

His hugs used to be really stiff

But eventually they develop to be cozy and warm

That’s when he’s holding you

When you’re holding him (which is usually) he’s really clingy and actually ends up forgetting to be self conscious

Honestly when they’re initiated by him it’s awkward but sweet and they’re really nice

It’s a shame he doesn’t initiate much 🥱

He’d pin it on dark reunion-

No but actually he’d be like that 😭

Like if you tripped he’d help you up and make sure you’re ok but he’d probably go on a monologue on dark reunion and you’ll just have to smile and nod

If you end up at the nurse then he’d ask for permission to see you and be by your side as long as he can

Then he’s just moping in class without you

I mean most times he does this but if you were to seriously get hurt he’d be really concerned and although he has his dark reunion thing he knows it’s not the time

So he’ll try and support you best he can

(Best he can because he’s an awkward teenage boy) but yknow

I can image this going two ways

The first way would be him saying it almost immediately

He’s so bad at love bombing and can’t help himself

He’s probably in a delusion that he’s in some romance novel or sum and you’re his LI

Plus you’re just so incredible

So he just blurts it out in one of those stereotypical rainy days while you’re walking under an umbrella together

He’s all flushed and stuttering like a fool

You’re surprised he did run away like those weird anime girls but if and when he does say it

Pls pls pls reassure him because he will immediately think you don’t like him and cry himself to sleep

Anyway, the other way I imagine this going would be after a long time

Dude is SO nervous and anxious to tell you but eventually does after like a thousand years

So he’d either tell you immediately or wait for the longest goddamn time ever

No in between

J - Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)

He is so silly 😭

He isn’t the type to joke harshly with you with insult but rather genuine and sometimes stupid jokes or pick up lines (that he only had the courage to say because of the joking undertones)

He’d probably never prank you unless you like to prank him first

Either way they’re silly pranks and never that serious

Plus jokes with Kaidou and usually him making himself seem dumb and when you do laugh along with him make sure to reassure him in the end

But yea Kaidou is just a lil silly guy and although the majority of his jokes are like that he just does stuff that are so hilarious sometimes without realizing

But when he wants to be funny? Yea not funny whatsoever 😭

J - Jealousy (what makes them jealous? what are they like when they’re jealous?)

He usually gets jealous when you take interest in someone else other than him

Now, it’s not like usual but only ever if you pay more attention/ hang out with them more

Most times it’s whatever and you tell him it’s not like that and he feels better

But it’s only when someone who he’ll admit is hot comes and tries to romance you or whatever that he gets jealous

He’ll probably go on about it in his delusions and claim in the dark reunion trying to get to him through you

Ofc Saiki is like “sure buddy” but Kaidou is secretly (not so secretly) freaking out and panicking

He’s starting the think that you’ll seriously leave him and Saiki is just there knowing that you’re just as down bad for Kaidou and he is for you

Whenever interacting with you during this time he’s pretty avoidant and gets distant

Ofc you’ll have to pull him out of his own head and tell him you love him

He freaks out and now instead of being upset he’s blushing and flustered

He ends up giddy since you ask him out in the end and talk it out but he’ll never forget the say the dark reunion tried to steal you and lost to him.

K - Kisses (what are their kisses like? who kissed who first? where do they like to kiss you?how do they like to kiss you?)

I love Kaidou as much as the next person but poor dude is SO BAD AT KISSING 😭

He seriously doesn’t know what to do the first time and just tries his best

The two of you first kissed when you managed to pass his moms test and made her love you and the two of you went to his room to “study”

Well regardless, you’re both sitting down as his mom left to the kitchen to bring some snacks for you two

He’s all nervous about you being over and when you tell him you want to kiss him straight up he’s all shocked

Ultimately he decides to let you and in reality it was just a short and sweet peck but ofc in his mind it was so dramatic

Well you two pulled away right when his mom came back and she was suspicious but nothing came of it

Ofc Kaidou was being the most suspicious person know to man

Anyways as they become more usual he likes to just give cheek kisses

They’re not too intense for his heart but when you guys do occasionally kiss on the lips he’s on the verge of exploding

He likes it and when y’all end up making out? He needs some space 😭

It never rlly crosses until later but yknow

Honestly Kaidous love languages would probably be quality time, physical affection, and gift giving

Let me explain 😼

Most times Kaidou feels closest to you is just by hanging out

I mean he loves being invited to go places and just makes him feel wanted there

So ofc it’d be that

But at the same time he usually gifts you little things

He gifts (as previously mentioned) a lot of little trinkets to you most times

Whether it’s something from the vending machine, little notes, origami, or just little things

So that’s that and ofc the last would be physical affection

He’s so desperate for it that he loves when you show him any

He mostly shows you his love by including you in his delusions by making you like royalty 😭

He’d make u super op to but somehow the jet black wings has to protect you

M - Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings spent with Kaidou would probably be spent after a sleepover (that was disguised as a study sesh that would be an all nighter)

When you wake up you do the usual morning routine alongside Kaidou

If it’s a weekend (which is most likely)

You guys would probably be all lovey dovey in secret away from his mom as best you guys can 😭

Either way the two of you end up eating breakfast made by his mom (she’s super nice after the whole study thing) and just hang out doing whatever

N - Nightmare (what is their worst fear?)

His worst fear would probably be discovered when he’s asleep and you’re over

He’d wake up from a nightmare and because of all the commotion you’d wake up alongside him

He’d share his nightmare and ofc it’d be what it is

He goes on to explain his nightmare of dark reunion taking you hostage or whatever but seems pretty shaken up

Ultimately he ends up revealing how real it felt and that’s why he’s this way

Just comfort him and tell him you’re there for him as long as he needs you

He’d feel better and wanted, and as long as you hold him in your arms then he’ll fall asleep peacefully

Ofc it actually was about you leaving him for someone else but he’ll keep that to himself until he’s ready

O - Obvious (How obvious do they make it that they like you?)

HES SO PAINFULLY OBVIOUS 😭😭

I mean anything you do- he’s head over heels

In an argument where you’re wrong? Well you’re right in his eyes made a plan that’s not the best but is ok? He’s all in

He’s pretty down bad and it’s obvious

He’ll most times go on about you in front of Saiki or Nendo and they have to suffer him and his crush he has on you

Especially if he asks Saiki or nendo to ask you things but freaks out when Nendo ends up exposing him 💀😭

Saiki is just standing there like 🧍‍♀️

And shrugs and walks away

Little does Kaidou know that you’re head over heels in love too

Match made in heaven ig 🤷‍♀️

As I’ve mentioned Kaidou probably has you as a character in his little delusion with the dark reunion

So he’d probably call you a name that has to deal with that 😭

In all honesty he’d probably want to call you the most rancid couple nicknames known to man

He’d want to call you that but he’s just too nervous to and wouldn’t unless you enable it

So when you finally let him he’s hesitant but ends up doing it

Then he’s caught by Saiki and others then gets ruthlessly made fun of 😭

P - Patience (how easily do they get angry?)

Kaidou doesn’t get angry all that often

If at all

I mean look at him, if anything he’d probably blame any and all problems on the dark reunion

Plus he’s super patient and is actually rlly cool about most things

If anything he’d be sad over any issues or fights you two have rather than being angry

Q - Quiet (How are the calm, quiet moments with them?)

The only time I can imagine a time where it’s quiet is when he ends up exposing how he really is

He’s probably bummed that you discovered him for who he is and not some cool guy who battles evil

Which you never thought but yknow

It’s unusually silent and nothing happens until you speak up

It’s not until you tell him that you don’t care about his little facade and that you genuinely care about him and not the fact that he “lied” to you

It all works out and the two of you end up silently just cuddling and being there for each other

R - Rhythm (what songs reminds you of them?)

R - Romance (How romantic are they? What are their go-to ways of being romantic?

Kaidou is so romantic it’s not even funny 😭

Most of his confidence comes from being jet black wings so ofc he’d do most of his romantic gestures and disguise it behind his alter ego

Most times he acts cool about it and that’s when he usually does dramatically romantic stuff

Like he’ll have a bouquet of flowers and maybe chocolates

He’ll hand them to you all confidently while on one knee

Then totally freak out while waiting for your reaction to them

All his confidence practically deteriorates and he’s waiting for your response 😭

But once you respond the way he likes then he loves it

I mean most times he’ll do this but otherwise when he’s seriously trying to win you over more than he already has he’s all flushed and tries to stutter it out as best he can

Most of his go tos are simple things like getting you stuff when you want it

But other times he’ll make sure to go out of his way to get you stuff

when you draw attention to his affections he’ll be super red 😭

Kaidou is pretty open with you besides how secretive he is with his diary about the dark reunion

That is until you end up finding it when you’re in this room 🕴️

That’s when he totally freaks out and tries to explain himself

His red face is really distracting so most of the time he’s trying to explain himself you’re just standing there

Honestly at least he’s secretive about this and not anything weird 🤷‍♀️

S - safe (What makes them feel safe and comfortable around you?)

Everything you do

Honestly Kaidou has never had anyone supportive of him and his likes

So just you being there and indulging in his delusions is enough for him

But the fact that you continuously put up with him and his insecurities just really ties it all together

He wants to be the one to make you feel safe and comfortable yet you’re the one doing it to him

S - Security (how protective are they? how would they protect their s/o?)

HES SO PROTECTIVE 😭

I mean Kaidou is obviously the jet black wings ofc he’d be powerful and protect his dear y/n

Butttt he’s also secretly a coward who covers that with the facade of the jet black wings

So he’d protect you and put himself ahead of you but when it comes to actual scary situations?

He’s shitting himself

He’d still protect you and put you above himself but he’d be so scared 😭

He’d probably protect you by cooperating with what the other person wants realistically if it’s a bad situation (that one mugging ep)

But if it’s not that bad then he’ll play as his alter ego and protect you by putting the attention on himself and his awesomeness

He’s so cute and if you protect him back he’s a bit bummed because he wants to be the strong one but once you explain that you want it to be mutual he practically has heart eyes

T - Time (how long did it take you to get together?)

It probably took so painfully long 😭

I mean homedude is so obviously in love with you and he’s painfully oblivious at first to how you feel

He’s basically head over heels and as I’ve said, you guys are probs rlly good friends before anything

So you both don’t want to ruin it

But eventually Saiki probably gets tired or sum best believe you’re making the first move and Kaidou ends up finding you with a “love letter” you wrote to him and the rest is history

So in short, it took a good while and probably would’ve tooken longer if Saiki, your wingman, wasn’t there to force yall

T - Tend (How do they act when you’re hurt or sick, and vice versa?)

Kaidou acts pretty panicky when you get hurt or something

He’s automatically making sure you get home and once it’s the weekend then he’s taking care of you while you’re sick like a stereotypical romance anime

Although you’d expect him to be terrible at taking care of people he’s actually the opposite

He’s always taking care of you and if Saiki and Nendo somehow get dragged along (knowing them they probably were) then Nendo would probably do stuff that disturbs him taking care of you

Surprisingly he ends up shooing them away and actually takes decent care of you (and if you ever try any romantic gestures on him he’s seriously gonna have to step out of the room)

When he’s sick he’s probably whining and pretty weak ngl 😭

So when you’re taking care of him (which you disguised as a favor to his mom) he’s blushing at every thing you do especially when you touch his forehead

He’s pretty much taking everything as a move and is blushing the whole time so do what you will with this information 😭

T - Tease (how do they tease you?)

How does he tease you?

Please it’s pathetic

Ok ok I’ll try and not to bully Kaidou but it’ll be hard not to

If anything you’re the one doing the teasing

I mean just look at him

Realistically he’d try and tease you because of this one romance manga that he started reading

Only when he starts acting that way do you just look at him like 🕴️

And to finally K.O. Him you decide to tease him back

He’s so weak to it too, he practically folds for you and just nods along

Take it easy on him and just spoil him rather than tease him 😭

He’d die from overheating at this rate so take it easy on the poor guy

U - Upset (how do they act when you’re upset?)

He’s pretty aware of when you’re upset because you’re probably not going along with him like you usually do

He blames it on dark reunion too 😭

Eventually he realizes you’re seriously upset and his mood does a whole 180

He’s practically begging for you to not be upset anymore but in all seriousness he eventually just tries to talk things out with you

Ofc it all works out in the end but things sure can be tough

V - Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?)

He’s honestly just proud of you as whole

He sees you as if you were way better in his mind so ofc he’d be proud of you

I mean it literally gets to the point where he thinks over if you genuinely do like him 😭

Anyways, he’d be more likely to be proud of things that you’re proud of about yourself

Whether it’s your drawing skills, trophies in sports, or whatever really

He’d literally be so proud of you and say “that’s my s/o 😌😼”

He’d act all smug and proud when it’s not even his own accomplishments

So yes, he’d love to show you off

Especially to others who like to poke fun at him for not dating anyone when he actually is

Most times when this happens he just shows off that fact he’s dating you

It’s sorta sad that he’s not showing himself off but whatever

V - Vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)

Honestly Kaidou is rlly cute and I feel like everyone knows that to an extent

So even if it may not be obvious- he’s pretty strict with keeping up his appearance in both the physical and social sense

He likes his looks and wants to be appealing to you so ofc he tried his best and feels all cute when you compliment him

But he also cares immensely with how he’s viewed, especially by you

He wants you to know that he’ll protect you and wants you to view him as someone strong and reliable

Especially against the dark reunion- he wants you to know you could always rely on the jet black wings and go to him- not anyone else- but HIM

Regardless of whatever he projects you know this and when you acknowledge and try to show him you care and feel that way-

He’s jumping up and down

W - Warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? Would they fight for you, beside you, etc?)

Kaidou would absolutely fight for you

I’ve already stated that he’s so over protective and always ready to defend you and even put your safety over his

So ofc he’d be willing to fight for you and even beside you

If you were to ever want to fight on behalf of him he’d be really touched

Really, no one really makes him feel all that liked most times so when you decide to fight for him and defend him he’s head over heels all over again

The most likely scenario would be that mugging one from before

You guys probably were getting mugged then you decided to defend the both of you

Kaidou is honestly touched that you’d protect him before he had the chance to do anything so he’d try and tap into his jet black wings persona and help defend you

It probs ends with Saiki interfering but it’s the thought that counts

X - X-Ray (how well are they able to read you?)

He’s able to read you pretty well, especially since you’re usually going along with his delusions and encouraging him with whatever nonsense he does

He can be a bit oblivious at times but because of how much of a person pleaser he is with you since you’re the only one who goes along he notices every little thing

So whenever you’re upset about something he can automatically tell (although he’d honestly be distracted)

He can also tell when you like something so atleast that makes up for his obliviousness 😭

X - XO (How do they show you affection? How much PDA are they willing to show?)

I feel like Kaidou is pretty closed off to showing affection at all at first

I mean I already said his love languages but he’d be hesitant to do anything he’s practically been sheltered so it’s no surprise here

Ofc eventually he’s willing to kiss, hold your hand and hug you and stuff couples usually do

However, he’s still pretty shy as the day you guys got together

So he’d probably not be that willing to show PDA but if you rlly want to he won’t be able to decline

I mean most times you’re the one making the moves so he’s probably used to it at this point

Ofc there’s the rare occasion that he wouldn’t mind it which would be when he’s being made fun of or whatever but either way he’d still be bright red and on the verge of exploding

Kaidou is insufferable to Saiki and Nendo (he couldn’t care less-) the whole day

He’s moping and so dramatically sad if you have to stay home and he’s pretty sentimental

I mean when he misses you and can’t see you he’ll text and try to talk to you any way he can

Ofc it doesn’t beat the real deal and when you finally return back to school he’s all over you

He’s finally happy and everyone glad that he’s back to normal and no longer a bother

Z- Zzz (How do they act when they get sleepy? How is it sleeping in the same bed?)

He acts so bold and clingy when he’s sleepy

He’ll be his complete opposite and do and say whatever along with clinging on you

If you were to reject his affection while he’s sleepy he’d take it so personally it’s not even funny 😭

Well it is sorta funny considering that he’s trying to kiss you when a couple hours ago he tried avoiding sleeping in the same bed as you

He’s so nervous and refuses to even get on the goddamn bed at first

It’s like the floor is lava- but with the bed

So when he finally goes to lay down next to you hallelujah cuz you can finally go to bed

He’s literally buzzing awake too so you have to pull him and hold him for him to calm down

Which makes it even worse (?) cuz he’s even more stiff and is close to evaporating

Anyway- when you two finally settle down I feel like Kaidou would sleep like a little ball

Like you’d be cuddling but over the night Kaidou would separate from you and you end up finding him in a little ball sleeping

the thing about kalim is that he's adorably stupid, not to degrade him in any shape or form but he's so oblivious about everything that you could consider it as one of his redeemable traits to be adorable.

he takes everything you say so seriously to the point where if you joke about wanting to water an entire continent he's just there with his carpet waiting for you cause he's gonna do exactly that.

it takes a remarkable mind to be like... that but you like him all the well about it, compliment his stupid-ness and he'll just grin, flush a little and laugh loudly as he compliments you back. not an ounce of anger in his tiny body.

I'm not sure if most people really dig the whole 'bad reputation' thing. he's friends with the most terrifying twins in the entire campus, notably scammed a lot of people, can give wishes with an extreme price.

oh yeah he runs monstro lounge too but that just means he won't have time to spend with a lover.

that's their own imagination but azul's actually very sweet and gets some overworked junior to do the work for him, usually jade since floyd just leaves if he's given the job. JUST so he can go fret over which tie to use for your unofficial date.

despite him annoyed and losing sleep 24/7 because of the tweels he still asks them which one to use, jade's opinion is most trustworthy since floyd picks the neon, vibrant ones. (don't question why he even owns it.)

I doubt he actually likes people though, anyone else than you? hard pass. he's a simp through and through but unlike idia who can't mask the mortification and disgust on his face even at the cost of his life, good thing that masks are one of the many things azul is good at.

he slips up sometimes cause he genuinely thinks it's embarrassing that they're doing whatever this is to him, (well more of an attempt?) and to you, who is also their friend and his lover.

erm idk which episode had the siren i cant find it 😖 i was gonna rewatch it but nvm ig, anyways ik what sirens are so i'll js thug it out. Also this guy is such a geek that he fs does dates at his house and gets his family to leave the house. he's also broke. i hate this.

(backstory: friends w sarah/erica they knew you were a siren, told the group thats how everyone knows)

Ethan kept his distance from her, to the best of his abilities at least. The thought of her luring someone out and killing them just by using her voice was.... frightening to say the least.

Yet, every time she flashed him the smile he remembered the kind of person she was. That she wouldn't make random men fall in love with her and then lure them out to sea and drown them! Right?

He knew you liked him, Sarah told him awhile ago. He didn't know what to do though, a girl hasn't ever liked him before. He's never even been on a date. I mean he's never really been too interested in dating until last year! Except he would be lying if he said you weren't attractive, I mean you're one of the prettiest people he's seen. Like ever.

"Hey, Ethan wait up" You called for him.

You were going to the same class together, he already knew that. It scared him, but he knew. Why was he so terrified of you? He knew you wouldn't actually kill him, but every once in a while he'll catch a glimpse of a scale or gill thats usually well hidden and it freaks him out.

"you wanna walk to class with-" He cut you off before you could finish your sentence.

"Do you wanna go on a date?" He asks looking at you, "wi-with me! i mean... do you want to go on a date with me..."

The last part of that was less of a question and more of anxiety and muttering. Yet, you could only smile at him and his dorky self.

"yeah sure" you respond, contently.

He was confused, why was he more anxious about this than you? You're the one that likes him! He doesn't even know if he likes you! Ok, he does like you a little bit... but why aren't you freaking out? Jesus just answer her!

"okay, uhm uh do you wanna just meet me at my house then..?" He was trying to play cool but there was clear anxiety in his voice. His stutter with every other word.

"yeah, sounds cool. So... do you wanna walk to class together or what?" You say, almost teasingly. With that same smile you always give him. God, you're pretty.

He just nods his head and you guys walk and talk with each other to class. You were doing the majority of talking, but you were so funny and so interesting. He hadn't ever talked to you for this long before. Once you reached the class your shared giggles died down.

After sitting through the hour long class he was thinking about what to wear, he had a good idea of what it would be. In the halls you went with Sarah and Erica while he went with Benny and Rory. You both just happened to be talking about the same thing though.

You came over an hour after school ended, there were no cars in the drive way. It looked as if no one was home, except the lights were on. You knocked on the door.

He answered wearing his and blue collar shirt with his formal pants. He looked at your somewhat formal (dress/suit/etc) attire.

"You look great" he says with a nervous smile.

"Thanks," you say with a genuine voice, "you look... geeky"

You both chuckle and he invites you in, offering his hand to you. You grab his hand and he gets a vision of water and a dock and a song.

You being a siren this freaks him out and he lets go of you instantly. While you just look at him confused, why did he drop your hand so fast? He had finally just stopped acting weird around you, kind of. Is he going to start again?

He leads you to the dining room where he set up candles and music, with food that looks surprisingly edible.

The room looked nice but, you had to poke fun.

"Everything looks great, but." Your voice trailed off at the end, teasing him.

He looked at you nervously, "but?"

"Take off the sweater vest. It's killing the mood." You say, playfully making fun of him. Lightly laughing.

He just rolled his eyes, taking off the vest and throwing it somewhere behind the two of you.

You two were talking and laughing the whole night, besides eating the enormous amounts of food that the two of you happened to finish somehow?

"Hey, I wanna show you something c'mon!" You say excitedly, standing up while wiping your face.

He looked at you confused, was this the thing in his vision? What were you showing him? He got up slowly, following you out.

You finally both arrived, hand-in-hand, walking to a somewhat abandoned dock. It didn't look old and dangerous but there were no boats or any signs of recent human life. You leave him and go to the edge of the dock, sticking your feet over. Humming some olden siren tune.

Same song as in his vision, thus making him panic. He stays off the deck completely, scared of what you might do. You turn around, suggesting him to come over as you scoot over. Making room for him. Kicking your feet in the water. He walks over, slowly, to sit with you. He takes off his shoes and socks and puts his feet in the water. Kicking with your feet in the water.

Maybe some visions aren't bad.

Im gonna be honest here, the only OUAW ship I WANT to be canon is Coalecroux

And it’s not just because I ship Coalecroux. If that was the case, then id also want Frostbek to be canon, when I don’t want it to be (not bc I dislike Frostbek—I fucking adore it—but because I personally don’t think any romance would help Frost or Torbek’s characters or character arcs—same with Gricko and Grimmorning for the same reason)

No, I want Coalecroux for be canon because I’m 99% sure that Gideon and Kremy’s character arcs are kinda BANKING on Coalecroux becoming canon.

Let me explain;

(Spoilers and VERY long explanation/rambling below)

Gideon’s character arc—now that I took a moment to actually think about it after rewatching episode 18, and thinking more about Gideon’s conversation with Mrs Snake-Snake—involves him learning to allow himself to feel sadness and letting himself love, romantically and platonically.

“But Gideon already clearly loves and feels sadness” I hear you say. Well…yes and no? Gideon very clearly loves his friends, that much is obvious. But I don’t think he himself has actually acknowledged the fact that he does love his friends, or that he loves them as much as he does. Kremy and Twig in particular. Based on Gideon’s reaction to his portraits, I think he was either expecting his Pa to appear in one of them (considering Gricko and Frost’s portraits), or was expecting the entire party to show up in the portraits (like Torbek’s). But it was just Kremy and Twig—the two he loves the most, but refuses to admit it to himself.

Or how about the fact that Gideon hasn’t really let himself feel sadness (or fear, for that matter)? He has clearly felt upset, don’t get me wrong, but he also usually masked it with anger. Like when Kremy revealed that Gideon was the one marrying the pixies. Gideon was upset and (rightfully) mad at Kremy, but he was very clearly scared (if his tone, body language, and the fact that he was doing how many shots of fireball to calm himself was any indication). And that fear showed itself even further when Kremy calmed Gideon down. Or with Twig’s death. Gideon was angry at Bavlorna, sure, but he was also genuinely sad, hiding behind (or maybe being overshadowed by) his anger.

Even when he was stuck as a kempestri and couldn’t move very well (since he traded away his ability to dance), and ended up trading some of his fire to help them find the pixie camp, he was as dejected as he was frustrated (probably at himself, the situation, and just…everything, really. Poor guy had a ROUGH day tbh)

I could keep going on about Gideon specifically, but I still want to talk about Kremy and this is long enough, so…Kremy.

Kremy, Kremy, Kremy. Where do I even begin with Mr Kremy Lecroux? For one, let’s start with his character arc, which is another one I didn’t catch until late into the season (with a specific conversation with Pincushion), but upon a rewatch of the early episodes, has made me realize this was a thing as early as episode 6? 7? Whatever, it’s the lying thing. Though…it’s not JUST the lying thing, because it’s similar to Gideon’s, just…different. Because Kremy KNOWS about his feelings (towards a variety of things and people), but refuses to acknowledge them, and just outright lie about said feelings.

And it’s not just his feelings towards Gideon—tho it’s primarily what I’ll be focusing on—but also his feelings towards a variety of things. Like, for example, the unicorn thing (until he decided to finally embrace his love for unicorns once they really started getting settled into the Feywild).

Anyway, Kremy’s character arc—from my understanding—is not only about him letting himself feel comfortable in enjoying the things he does and feeling the things he feels, but also just…not relying on the lies he hides behind as much.

I mean, look at how Kremy acted at the Witchlight Carnival, the moment his ability to lie was taken away. He immediately became nervous, jumpy, trying to spin his words into half-truths, or just outright not saying anything—almost as if in fear that he might reveal something he definitely doesn’t want to be revealed (not now, at least). Or how about that one episode (don’t remember which one) where he had his outburst and called Gideon his husband (“You will not talk to my husband that way”)? The entire episode—before it was revealed he couldn’t lie—Kremy was quieter than usual, aside from planning.

Or, better yet, how about his fight with Pincushion when they first met? Kremy was trying to lie and bully his way into getting Pincushion to do what they want, and it wasn’t working. In fact, Torbek was the one who got Pincushion to listen to them, by doing the exact opposite of what Kremy was doing. And iirc, Pincushion even told Kremy that lying and bullying won’t just make people listen and do whatever he wanted—especially not in the Feywild.

And obviously, I can’t say for certain how Season 2 is gonna go (if we even GET a season 2 at this point ffs), but also…I DO know that Gideon and Kremy are so emotionally constipated and refuse to acknowledge their own feelings for anyone and anything. And I also get a feeling that, somehow, either Coalecroux becoming canon would either help end their respective arcs, or help begin the end of said arcs (if that makes sense?)

Idk, this is really long and probably doesn’t make any sense, so apologies for that

Hi! There are role swap AUs of them already and I love them so much, so I tried making my own too! You should know that this is entirely self-indulgent like anything else I draw askdaslds

There is Mareach and Bowuigi bc yes alskdklasd and a tiny bit of one-sided Luaisy that leads to nothing because Luigi's a married man 😔

I had other drawings of them, but they're not colored yet and I wanted to share the idea already sjsjs

Here's some ideas for this AU!

-Mario's the Mushroom Kingdom Princess and his parents are the King and Queen. Luigi used to be the other princess, green princess or green princess Mario (as in, his bro Mario, not his last name Mario 😔), but he married Bowser and became the Queen of the Darklands :y Everyone in there respects and remembers his name, he's built a really good reputation for himself by simply being himself, in this house we believe in the 'Luigi is the Darklands' hero' hc too. Their aunt and uncles (and cousin) rule Sarasaland.

-(King boo's a Darklands ally but still hates Queen Luigi from that one time he wiped clean his mansion when the king kidnapped Mario. Luigi's scared of ghosts still too, but Junior always reassures him he's gonna beat them up if they try scaring his mama (I drew it actually, I'm gonna color it too!))

-When the bros were 20 Bowser at first tried kidnapping Princess Mario, and Mario was ready to beat his ass but they ended up talking about ally-making and ruling a kingdom as Bowser just got crowned king. Mario advised him to listen to his advisor and other stuff and by the time Luigi caught the koopa ship, ready to bonk Bowser in the head with his comically large hammer, the princess and king made plans of starting a treaty.

>Anyways, they met often after that when Bowser went to plan the treat with the Mario King and Queen. Luigi fell for Bowser and Bowser fell harder and Mario regretted talking to Bowser and should have instead just beat him up. He's happy for his bro though. When they married and had Junior and adopted the koopalings he decided that he was very happy that he talked to Bowser. He loves how happy Luigi is.

-Princess Mario accomplishes many things and excels at almost anything he tries, and all the toads treat him as a hero as well as a princess and all, so his dad doesn't think he's a failure, but still bothers him by urging him to get married ever since he turned thirty. He often compares him to Luigi, who got married at 23 and in the present had eight kids with his husband. Mario doesn't give a shit about marrying soon, but wished his dad would stop being annoying. His mamma is a sweetheart as always and often tells her husband to leave him alone. King Mario is stubborn as hell though (his two boys got that from him), so he doesn't.

-Peach and Daisy are cousins and they were trying to start a business together, though they weren't still sure about what (you know as Princess Peach and Daisy have many businesses together in canon aksdla), but before they could settle anything they somehow fell in the pipe and Peach landed in the Mushroom Kingdom and Daisy in the Darklands.

-Bowser still steals the Super Star, but in hopes of giving Luigi the coolest anniversary gift ever, as it's their seventh and all that. He very often gives him all sort of things, like great statues, many many dresses and all the stuff that he knows Luigi loves. Being the himbo he is, he's genuinely concerned that Luigi wouldn't like something unless it is completely new and has never been gifted to him at all. Of course, Luigi would love anything he'd give him, because Bowser's gifts are always made with love. By the end of the things, Luigi tells Bowser so and calls him an idiot affectionally, and also makes him return the Super Star. (movie-like, you know, since this is somehow a retelling alksdlasd)

-Based on what I read at discord, if you're who wrote it, pls know that i love your ideas jsjs- Bowser has set up many statues of Luigi that are of a nice stone color and has gems in its eyes to glow under the lava and the sun when it's out. Imagine that one Luigi render where he's got an arm raised and the other nicely by his side and he's smiling, that's the main statue of Queen Luigi sjjds. They contrast greatly against Bowser's, that were made to make his fierceness stand out, unlike Luigi's that highlight his kindness.

-In the piano scene, Bowser is playing and singing and Luigi's laying on his stomach over the piano's surface (no idea if that's possible but humor me alkdalsd) and listens with the most besotted expression ever, resting his face on his palms. When Kamek interrupts them Luigi's not mad or anything, but Bowser really glares at the magikoopa.

-Junior finds Daisy and brings her to the castle, in hopes that his mama and papa will help her, because they're the greatest people in the whole world and they can do anything.

-Daisy and Luigi quickly become friends, making Bowser jealous of the other human, especially because Daisy from time to time looks at Luigi as if she like-liked him. Not that he thought Luigi had eyes for anyone else beside him, but it was still annoying. And Diasy, for all she annoyed him, seemed to fully respect that Luigi was happily married.

-Daisy teases Bowser mercilessly too, at first clueless that she's supposed to be terrified and respect this guy like everyone else does (maybe Junior takes her to him first, and completely forgetting Junior's initial rambling about his family, she doesn't realize Bowser's the king, but when she meets Luigi, she sees his crown and fancy clothes and immediately knows she gotta be respectful to this guy. She doesn't know how royals are in this lava world, after all), but she keeps doing it, knowing the koopa king may look terrifying but he's mostly bark and no bite.

-DK and Mario are friends and they often meet up to beat the shit out of the other, or sparring as it's called, I think. The first time they did it, Mario got the cat power up and destroyed DK in front of the kong king and other kongs, and since then Cranky doesn't dislike Mario so much, and the others respect him greatly too.

-Mareach,,, they look at eachother and sparkles are in there too. Peach doesn't brutally throw Mario to the ground or anything, but he loses his breath anyways because of her beauty. Also, Mario's type is beautiful tall women (and tall idiot men, maybe his dad suggests DK as a husband and Mario's like ew dad, we're just friends. Or maybe... Donkareach... I like the fics that has them, but idk for this).

-Toad as a wingman, he doesn't care how obvious he is, he's gonna make Princess Mario and his new friend Peach be together, because they clearly like-like the other.

A.P calc teacher schlatt x A.P studio art teacher reader

Mr. Schlatts halloween party takes quite the turn.

Once all the girls at the table calmed down, their only request was that they were filled in about your weekend plans on monday, to which you actually agreed

now the hard part was picking a cute costume for you and schlatt, i mean he didn't really seem like a costume kinda guy

there was 20 minutes left in the period and you needed to find something fast

it was the last class of the day and schlatts party was tomorrow, and you knew you wanted to hand make yours and schlatts costume

so you turned to the six bright eyed girls you had grown to love

your class was very relaxed, if they did their work and you would play music games and movies, your students loved you

but these girls ADORED you.

it was alanna, deyvn, natalia, lucy, renn, and kezia.

they were all so genuinely themselves, and they made you feel like you were one of them, they told you EVERYTHING, and i mean everything.

each one had such a different personality, yet they all were so close. You were gonna miss them next year

you slid your wheely chair over to their table and called for their attention

“Girls, im calling a meeting, i need your help” you sighed and looked around at them

"thats funny considering youre the teacher." alanna giggeled to herself

"shut up al, i wanna hear about her and mr schlatt" kezia said, suddenly paying very close attention, she never cared about classes, but gossip, oh she would have an A+ if it was a class

"dont be rude, anyways, as you heard before, me and ja- Mr. schlatt. are gonna have a matching costume for his party tomorrow and you guys are much cooler than me, what should we be?" you begged

each girl began searching pintrest and finding ideas until renn found something she deemed great

"ok, lightbulb! you guys should be adam and eve" everyone began to protest her idea but she continued on "everyone shut it, hear me out. number one hes religious, right? number two your bodies tea. you would look hot as fuck. cmon its a great idea."

"renn let me get this straight, you want me to wear a leaf over my cooch? and boobs? to a school function? with other teachers from this school??? yknow what your on a ban, no more ideas from you"

they all started hysterically laughing as renn raised her hands in surrender "any ideas that i can wear without being slut shamed by the schools faculty?" you asked

natalia was up next " what if you did flynn and rapunzel, wait no, actually tell Mr. Nivison to be Flynn, ugh hes so hot, why not match with him." that began a four minute argument about weither Mr. Schlatt was hotter, or Mr. Nivison

"can someone please lock in and find me a costume?" you begged over their debate

"okay i might have an idea." deyvn said, "ok so what if you were the starry night and Mr. schlatt was van gogh." she suggested, before i could even comment lucy butted in

"wait that would be so cute, ugh you never shut about about van gogh either! you could wear a little dress and like paint the starry on your face, or on the dress, and schlatt could do like an ear patch thingy, and the hat he wears, wait i love this!"

they all began throwing ideas at you about how you could execute the costume, and while some of their ideas were rancid, it could actually be a very cute costume.

when the period ended they all said their goodbyes, and while you were packing up schlatt made his way to your classroom and opened it with his key

"BOO" he tried to scare you

"i literally saw you jay" you laughed and you slid your laptop into your bag.

"ugh, ill get you eventually, dont even worry about it, did ya pick somthin' for us to wear tomorrow?" he made his way infront of your desk and leaned his weight on the table

"i did actually, you have to hear me out though, it might sound dumb." he quickly cuts you off

"nothing you say is dumb" he was looking up at you and his eyes were very warm, much more than usual, it threw you off your game for a moment

"um, well thank you, but seriously, let me explain it before you say anything, i think it would be cute if we were the starry night and van gogh bu-"

"i love that." he cuts you off, still staring at you with the same look in his eyes as before

it was overwhelming you the way he was looking at you, but at the same time it pulled you in.

"no questions? i mean what if i wanted to dye your hair red." i laugh quietly

"id let you." he says without missing a beat

"m' not gonna do that, when should i bring you your costume, or like help you get ready or something." you felt very judged by his gaze, but not in a negative way, if that makes any sense, he was really confusing you.

"well party starts at 8, so come over early, we can get ready together, maybe even pregame a bit, and only if you want you can help setup. sound good?" he said softly

"yeah, sounds good." you said back, copying his tone of voice

"see ya' tomorrow toots." he stood up and walked out the room without looking back, the door clicked shut and he left you with nothing but your thoughts.

what the fuck was that.

you were so confused about what had just went down

why on earth was he looking at you like that

since when was he calling you toots, he always just called you by your name, no pet names

all those thoughts continued to plauge your mind for the duration of the night

and the next morning

and the afternoon

all the way until it was time to head over to schlatts house

it was in a nice area, he lived right outside the city, near astoria, queens

he had told you before that he commuted every day to work, but it was only a 20-40 minute drive depending on traffic

when you arrived at his house the first thing you noticed was how it was a very old building, yet his very new car (very expensive) was sat outside, it was a very symbolic scene, but it felt like him in a way

you got to the door, bag and a bottle of benedictine in hand, and rung the door bell, and it was taking quite a long time, you were starting to worry

but you were suprised when the door flung open revealing a very disheveled looking schlatt

"holy shit thank everything your here, im such an idiot i fully fell asleep and i just woke up and now im gonna crash out." as he rambled you set down your stuff at a nearby table

you walked back over to him and placed both your hands on his face, attempting to calm him down "johnny look at me please"

you noticed his eyes darting around and lip trembling. he had mentioned his severe anxiety to you before but you never knew it got this bad

`"hey im right here its ok, were going to get everything done, i know youre stressed but we are gonna do this together, we have time, and we can even make it fun, ok?" his eyes slowly begin to focus on yours and his lip began to calm

you moved one of your hands to his and let him ground himself and calm down, eventually he was able to let go of your hand and give you a hug

hugging him was the best thing youve ever experienced, he engulfed your whole body and rested his head atop yours and for a moment you felt true peace

your breathing syncronized and you stood there holding eachother

until you felt something fuzzy brush against your leg, and you pulled away to find two cats rubbing at your legs, and orange and black cat to be specific

you looked back at schlatt and he was smiling at you "they like you, makes sense, i do too." your eyes widened and you fully turned yourself in his direction

"what did you just say?" you squint your eyes and point at him "can you repeat that" you said through your smile

"i said i like you, and we both know you heard me the first time" he moved closer to you with a grin you were growing to love plastered across your face

"maybe i just wanted to hear you say it again" you smirk, before turning around and picking up his orange cat, "whats this one called?" you smile

"oh were just gonna smooth past that huh?" he asked accusatorially, one eyebrow raised, as he walked closer to you

being around schlatt made you feel bold, you were so comfortable around him that it boosted your confidence tenfold, you got super close to him, lips mear inches away

"i like you too, but we have alot to do, so we'll talk about it later." it wasnt a question, you looked up at him and then, walked away

you made your way to his kitchen and started pouring food into plasic bowls you found on the kitchen table

"you think your funny huh?" he made his way into the kitchen around 20 seconds after you, what you didnt know is he needed a moment to ajust himself in his pants

"hilarious, we an two hours until people arrive, and i need atleast and hour to get ready, make your self busy." you said as you continued setting up the food.

"your very bossy, yknow' that?" he laughed as he began unraveling cob webs he bought days prior.

"oh you have no idea handsome." you walked out the kitchen and started setting up lights cobwebs and fake bats on the celing of the living room

for the next hour you two would shamelessly flirt and joke around, like before, but there was now this tension, that in all honesty, you really liked

then came time to get ready, you had bought everything for schlatt, all he had to do was put it on, and leave you alone to do your makeup

but omfg he would not.

you were sat on his bathroom counter, trying to recreate the starry night on your face, but this man would not stop talking and asking you questions

you looked over at him sat on the closed toilet, just yapping, he was wearing a dark blue button up, and nice fitting jeans, along with a white patch on his ear, with fake blood on it.

fuck he looked good, but you could contain yourself. schlatt on the other hand was basically foaming at the mouth

you were wearing a relatively short dress, that was low-cut and had puffy sleeves, your hair was down, and your face was painted like the starry night.

and he genuinly thought he was gonna splooge his pants.

you on the other hand were just trying to finish your makeup, and he needed to be in another room because he kept distracting you, so the only logical task you could give him was to go make you a drink, and he listened

you were done with you makeup and you went to go meet him in the kitchen, you stood at the doorway of his kitchen waiting for him to notice you were there

when he eventually turned around, you could see in his eyes the moment he realised you were there, his entire face softened and his eyes beamed at you. he walked closer to you inspecting the makeup on your face

he was very close, you could feel his breath on you, and you didnt mind, you even considered kissing him, but of course, as if fate was not on your side, the door bell rung

and you both began to laugh as he went to go welcome the guests, you on the other hand went and chugged the drink he made you, cause without it, you might not of been able to survive the night

-everyone started arriving, and it was the most fun youve had in a while, music blasting, drinks chugged, storys told, dancing and party games

-and schlatt could not keep his eyes off you

-you laughed, flirted and smiled the night away until everyone began leaving, but you offered to help him clean up, and of course he accepted

-he had changed the music from his party playlist, to his calm playlist and the first song that came on was "something stupid" by frank sinatra

"i love frank sinatra" you laughed as you wiped his counter down with a paper towel.

without missing a beat he began to sing along to the song "i know i stand in line, until you think you have the time, to spend an evening with me" in the most beautiful singing voice youve ever heard

naturally you sang along with him, and eventually you to ended up dancing together in his kitchen, to frank sinatra, dressed as a painter and his work of art

and somehow, after only having this man in your life for just over a month, you were never going to let him leave it.

you both finished cleaning, and it was time for you to head home, as he walked you to your car you felt an overwhelming feeling, something that you couldnt put your finger on, like your heart felt like it was going to explode

you placed your stuff in the passenger seat of your car, and you went around to find schlatt holding open your door for you

and thats what did it

you grabbed the collar of this shirt and pulled him down to your level and kissed him

for a split second you had thought you made a mistake, but that fear subsided when he kissed you back and aggressively wrapped his arms around your waist

he pushed your back against your car with his body and continued kissing you as you threaded your fingers through his hair

you pulled away to breathe and he stared at you with a dopey grin on his face

"see you monday?" you asked with a love sick smile

he pecked both of your cheeks, then both sides of your smile before planting a kiss on your lips, as you giggled. when he finally pulled away he kissed your forehead and said,

"see you monday." he kissed your hand one last time and began walking inside, once again leaving you with your thoughts

you silently got in your car, and you realised you could finally identify that feeling before

it was love.

ode to a conversation stuck in your throat | luke castellan

based on this post in luke's pov.

warnings: loser!luke a little bit, percabeth crumbs and teasing from them, swear words, luke being jealous

i. i used to call you my best friend, way back before you were my everything.

"beth, you need to drop it," luke groaned, toying with the armor on his body. the young girl had been stuck on this conversation for hours now. ever since luke showed up to the athena cabin to talk strategy (there was no strategy talk, it was a ploy to get luke alone so she could knock some sense into him), annabeth had been going on and on about you and luke and your relationship.

"i'm just saying, you need to make a move."

"you have been saying that," luke checked the watch around his wrist. he tapped on the glass, "for about an hour and seventeen minutes."

"i'm sorry, but we're tired of watching you guys give googly eyes to each other and not do a thing about it," she replied, trying to keep up with luke as he walked towards the woods. luke was using his height and long legs to his advantage, hoping that she'd finally give up. (he should've known better; annabeth never actually gave up on anything.) "even percy asked me what was going on between you guys and he just got here like ten minutes ago."

"we do not give each other the googly eyes," annabeth shot him a pointed look. luke paused, pursing his lips, "fine, i give her googly eyes but she doesn't reciprocate."

"i knew you were dumb, but i didn't think you were a fucking idiot."

"hey, language," he tutted, crossing his arms over his chest. he can see the crowds of campers gearing up for capture the flag. "who taught you that word?"

she rolled her eyes, "sorry, but 'freaking' didn't have the same oomph."

"we're done with this conversation, 'kay?" luke walked away, shaking his head. under his breath, he mumbled, "fucking kids, man."

from behind him, he heard annabeth call out to him, "and you wonder where i learned the word!"

luke chuckled, twirling his sword expertly as he approached the group. he spotted you a few feet back talking to percy. the kid looked scared out of his mind, but after you reassured him that he probably wouldn't sustain any life-altering injuries, his demeanor relaxed.

luke walked over to you, immediately placing an arm around your waist. you knew that it was luke before you even got a look at him. you nudged yourself closer to him as you ended your conversation with percy.

"you'll be alright kid," you said, offering him a genuine smile. "i know clar has been giving you a hard time, but she's just like that. she'll warm up to you."

luke could tell that percy didn't really believe you based on the look on his face, but he also saw percy's eyes flicker to the lack of space between you and luke and knew that it was his time to go.

percy rubbed the back of his neck and cleared his throat, "alright, thanks, y/n. i appreciate it."

"no problem, percy. i'm sure beth wouldn't let anything happen to you anyway."

as percy walked away to find annabeth, you twisted your body to face luke. you beamed at him in a way that luke could only describe as cute. whenever you talked to him, the crinkles by your eyes appeared and your cheeks pushed up on your face, a slight tint of pink dusted over them.

"hi, luke," you greeted, "ready to win?"

"yes, ma'am," he mirrored your smile. he adjusted the strap on your armor, lightly grazing his fingers over your exposed collarbone. "you gonna show off the skills i taught you?"

"of course," you paused, "i might even be better than you now. maybe i can teach you some things."

he softly pinched your hip, making you squeal. he laughed at your reaction. "don't get cocky, dove."

"i'm just saying," you slowly peeled yourself away from him, but held his hands in yours as you moved backward. "one day the student becomes the teacher, castellan."

"that day is not today, but i'm loving this confidence."

you sent him a wink before joining your siblings. luke felt his knees buckle at the simple gesture. his heart was hammering in his chest and he was half-sure that the people around him could hear his heart thumping against the armor, like a drumbeat. he was glad that his helmet was hiding his face because annabeth and percy were now looking at him, both of their hands in a "thumbs up" gesture in the air.

ii. and it may not mean much but your plates are in his sink and your sweater's on his bed.

your team won (of course you did), but the victory came second to the claiming of percy. percy didn't make it to dinner, no doubt stuck talking to chiron and mr. d about what it all meant, but he was back in time for the celebratory bonfire.

percy found annabeth and luke grabbing some cookies on the snack table when he finally gave up trying to understand the prophecy for the night. luke threw an arm over his shoulder, "forbidden child, how you holding up?"

"i don't really want to talk about it. i honestly don't even know how i feel right now."

"that's fair," annabeth said, outstretching her hand to reveal a handful of oreo cookies. "want some?"

"thanks," percy took a cookie, his eyes scanning the bonfire for any other familiar (and kind) faces. his eyes landed on you. "i do want to talk about that, though."

luke and annabeth's eyes followed percy's to find you talking to an ares kid. you were sitting far from the fire (luke knew you hated how the smell of smoke lingered on your clothes.) luke's eyes narrowed, head tilting in question because he'd never really paid attention to the kid before. james? jackson? j-something? he was racking his brain trying to remember the kid's name.

"they look cozy," annabeth stated through a mouthful of oreos. "he's cute."

"no he's not," luke argued, looking at his sister in disbelief. "he's like okay looking, i guess, but he's nothing like special. i don't know. do you think he's cute percy?"

"dude, you have issues."

whether luke chose to ignore percy's comment or genuinely didn't hear him, didn't matter, because luke was already riled up. he shouldn't go over there, right? you were just talking to the kid. gods, he really should know his name. "plus, he's an ares kid. he's like the enemy. y/n wouldn't do that."

the two kids shared a look, trying to hold in their laughter. luke was too preoccupied with looking at you to notice them anyway. his eyes were on you like a hawk. he watched as you moved over on the log you were sitting on to make room for him. luke's eyes widened when you locked eyes with him. you smiled at him, offering a little wave, before returning to your conversation.

"did she really just do that?"

"let someone sit next to her...?" annabeth asked, dusting her hands on her pants to rid of the crumbs. "yeah, it is allowed."

luke chewed on his bottom lip, "i don't like the look of this."

percy rolled his eyes, voiced laced with sarcasm. "really? what a surprise."

iii. my baby, spare me all the rest. please just tell me that nobody else touches you like i do.

luke was going crazy. he could count on one hand the amount of interactions he's had with you over the last two weeks. at first, he tried to tell himself that you were just busy. you had a lot of things to do, but then he started noticing that you didn't seem busy when jake asked to hang out. (luke scoffed when he found out the boy's name. of course, his name was jake. typical.)

it felt like luke was getting stabbed in the heart every time he saw you walking around with jake, his arm thrown over your shoulder while you laughed at his (probably unfunny) jokes. you called off your training sessions with him to go practice your archery with jake (he wasn't even that good) his usual seat next to you during meals were suddenly occupied by the ares boy. he even saw him walk you back to your cabin one night and he wrapped his arms around you in a hug like he wasn't going to see you the next day.

luke had grown grumpy and everyone noticed it, but nobody was willing to ask him why you and him stopped being attached to the hip all of a sudden. nobody was brave enough to.

the final nail to the coffin was when he wandered into the dining hall, making his way over to chris (because that's where he sat now) and he saw you in an unfamiliar hoodie. plastered over your chest was the insignia for the ares cabin.

enough was enough.

luke stood outside your cabin while everyone else was giving their offerings to the gods. he was trying to figure out what to say to you but his brain was going a million miles an hour. all the words blurred together into a gigantic mess. he was never good with words or explaining himself when it came to you. he never really had to tell you anything before, you always just knew.

sighing, luke mustered up the courage to knock on your door with his head hanging low. when you opened the door, luke could've died in embarrassment because he just started talking, like all of the lines he prepared just spilled out of his mouth.

"please dump him," luke pushed past you to pace around the floor of your cabin. "i don't know how serious your relationship is with him but i am begging you to dump him. you belong with me. i miss you and i haven't seen you really in weeks and it's killing me, dove. i don't know what to do because you keep canceling our plans to hang out with him and i feel like i'm losing you. and-and you're wearing his clothes now? if you were cold or something, you know you could always wear mine! i literally have a drawer under my bed of things that are reserved for you. i sprayed my cologne on them and everything because i know you like it, but you went to him? i just-"

luke stopped pacing and finally looked at you. you were hiding your giggles behind your fist. luke furrowed his eyebrows in confusion before his eyes trailed down your body. oh.

you were wearing his shirt. you walked over to him, reaching up to grab his face, "are you done?"

he was calmer now, "please dump him."

"i can't do that, luke."

"why not?"

you laughed at his whiny voice, "i can't dump him because i'm not dating him."

luke blinked, "you're not?"

"no," your rubbed his face with the pad of your thumb, "we're just friends. he's actually been helping me get over my crush on you."

luke's head was spinning. he definitely read the situation so wrong. "your what?"

"oh, castellan, please," you were blushing now. "it started out with jake wanting to ask me out but i told him about my crush on you and how i felt like nothing would ever happen between me and you. he suggested that maybe i should distance myself from you, at least until my crush went away, but the longer i was away from you, the clearer it became. i'm not getting over you any time soon."

"please don't ever get over me."

"you're a dork," you teased, but you smiled at him again. that special smile you reserved for him. "i can't believe you never noticed i liked you."

"i can't believe you didn't notice i liked you."

"will you shut up and kiss me, please?"

you didn't need to tell him twice. "yes, ma'am."

Does Max give anyone else major twist villain vibes???

Okay I haven't talked about Max much yet, but I think it's kinda wild to see people talking about him like he's just this sweet innocent cinnamon roll when my read on his character was the COMPLETE opposite.

I mean yes, he does seem very sweet. He's very soft spoken. Naive in a way like Lucy, but not as much. Kinda vulnerable. Got a killer smile. And some of the moments with him and Lucy are super cute and adorable. But damn if he doesn't have a DARK side!

Like I've heard people say that Max is stupid or that Aaron Moten's acting is bad, but hell no. Aaron Moten sold me on his acting during the interrogation scene. Max was scared shitless and I FELT that. I think Max was meant to be played as a character who lacks understanding about certain things and seems disconnected from people due to both being brought up in basically a cult and having an inherent lack of empathy.

You think about the fact that he admitted he wanted Dane to get hurt, someone who's supposed to be his best friend. How he coldly sat there and watched Titus die. And before that stood there and watched him get mauled by a bear, almost like he was fascinated by it and wanted to see what was gonna happen. The fact that he tried to kill Thaddeus the moment he became a threat, even though the two of them had appeared to have bonded and developed a genuine friendship. And let's not forget he was willing to let all of Vault 4 get plunged into darkness just so he could keep playing with his power armor.

Max wants to be a knight, he wants to be a hero. And I think he tells himself he wants it for the right reasons, but I think what he REALLY wants is power and recognition. Which is really what every (okay maybe not every, but a lot) good villain wants, right? Because at the end of the day Max wants what Max wants. He's selfish, even though he doesn't think he is.

And sure, he's nice to Lucy. And he went balls to the wall to save her when he thought Vault 4 was gonna execute her. But she's a pretty girl who helped him and offered him a safe home. When she gave him the proposition that if she helped him bring back the head, he would have the Brotherhood lend her some knights to save her dad, he KNEW he couldn't make that promise. But he made the deal anyway. So he doesn't REALLY care about her or what she wants.

And that blank stare he gets when he gets mad? ACTUALLY terrifying. The guy's got serious psychopath vibes. Literal anti-social personality disorder, if you ask me. In fact the first thing I thought about when Max let Titus die is this kids going to end up going to the dark side lol.

And I think that would work really well thematically if they plan on giving The Ghoul a redemption arc beside it. There are so many parallels between Lucy and The Ghoul, and they have such a strong connection to the beginning when the bombs dropped. I get that Max is there to represent the Brotherhood and he's from Shady Sands, the town Hank destroyed, but it felt weird that he didn't seem to be AS important in the grand scheme of things compared to Cooper and Lucy.

But if Max turned out to be a badass twist villain to thematically contrast Cooper's redemption arc, while Lucy remains steadfast to her commitment to goodness and the golden rule I feel like that would really round it out. It would make sense if you consider a lot of people have pointed out that Lucy, Cooper and Max all seem to represent different play styles and different moral alignments. And I think it'd be pretty crazy if the writers of the show set out to make it seem like Ghoul is a bad guy and Max is a good guy, but then it ended up being the opposite.

I mean, there are definitely hints all over the show that The Ghoul isn't as bad as he may seem. And Max has already done some pretty messed up stuff, so I'd say the possibility is totally there, and I'd be here for it!

Never Forgotten

Pairing:Minho x female reader

Summary:When Minho keeps ending up in the Med-hut, you realize the only thing he needs is your attention.

It wasn't his usual behavior. I mean Minho was nothing less than determined to find a way out. I've seen that man try to run in the Maze after throwing up his breakfast. If that isn't dedication, I don't know what is.

That's why I'm more than concerned about him. He shouldn't be begging to stay in the Med-hut. If he ever, ever wanted to miss a day of running, something is genuinely wrong.

"You're telling me you don't realize what's happening?"Jeff sighed as I looked over at him.

"What do you mean?"

"We always have to fight Minho to get down here when he's hurt, right?"

"Yeah,"I nodded.

"And he'll argue that he's not until he's blue in the face and throwing up?"

"I definitely remember that."

"And he still tries to say he's fine anyway?"

"What's your point?"

"My point is that him coming in for some unknown sickness is not something he would do."

"I know. That's why I'm worried about him,"I shrugged, trying to wrap my head around his words.

"Oh, he definitely wants you to be,"Clint said in a smug voice, borderline smirking.

"What are you shanks on about?"

"What we're pointing is that ever since you started hanging out with Chuck more, he sure does seem to get mysteriously hurt,"Jeff explained.

"Oh please. He's the last person who would fake an illness to get my attention,"I scoffed, rolling my eyes at the ridiculous thought.

"He's also the last person to admit that he needs it,"Jeff reasoned.

"He'd actually break his leg before doing that,"Clint added.

"Minho's not clingy. He's fine being apart from me."

"Well, he also still really likes his girlfriend. We see you two holding hands during Greenie night. Sneaking off to get into some trouble,"Clint grinned.

"We're walking around and talking, you idiot,"I honestly told them. I swear I lose brain cells every time he opens his mouth.

"But you've been with Chuck during Greenie night's lately, haven't you?"

"My boyfriend is not jealous of a twelve year old,"I said firmly, surprised that was a sentence I even had to say. Besides, he likes Chuck. He may not be around often, but he'll never not stop and talk if he has the time. Even if they're not best friends, they know each other more than well enough. They'll probably never be attached at the hip, but it's not rare to see the pair enjoying a meal together or just hanging out during some free time.

"No, but he hasn't been getting all his hand holding and kissy kissy-"

"It doesn't like you two have been hanging out that much,"Jeff thankfully cut him off.

"So he's faking a sickness for my attention?"I clarified.

"No klunk."

"Definitely."

"Huh,"I mumbled, glancing over at him again. Truly and actually looking him over, I saw that on the surface, there was not a single thing out of place. He wasn't devoid of color or sweating. He wasn't coughing or throwing up. He wasn't shivering or drowsy. He was just sitting there, completely chill.

"You see it now?"

"Yeah. I do,"I admitted, looking at them again.

"So what are you gonna do then?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, we can't just let him stay. If there's nothing wrong and someone sick actually comes in, then there actually will be. So how are you going to get him out of here?"

Resting my chin on my hand, I furrowed my eyebrows as I tried to figure out a solution to this. After all, they're definitely and unfortunately right. He can't stay, but he obviously doesn't want to leave. That's more than a problem.

"You do that one more time, I'll get Alby on your shuckface!"Newt yelled from outside.

That's it. I know what I need to do.

"How scared are you guys of Alby?"I asked slowly.

"Terrified."

"Not scared at all."

"Great. That's promising,"I mumbled.

"But if it gets him out of here, I'll do whatever you need me to,"Clint said quickly.

"You think you can cover up two missing people?"

"Who says I haven't done it before?"

"Yeah. I think we can handle that,"Jeff assured me.

"Great, because you're both going to have to today."

"What's the plan?"

"That's for me to know, and you two to help me with without ever finding out."

"That's a terrible answer."

"What would be worse is dealing with an actually ill Minho,"Jeff pointed out.

"That is a fantastic answer."

"Yeah. I know it is."

I told Minho that he felt kind of cold. I played dumb to him feigning an illness to have my attention.

Because while it takes a bit more effort, it's way more rewarding to actually give it to him.

Walking with him towards the Deadheads, I smiled as our shoulders brushed together.

"Where exactly are we going?"He asked.

"Just around,"I lied. As he nodded I slowly took his hand in mine. Tightly lacing our fingers together, I smiled as I led him almost out to the open. Looking over, I saw him wearing a subtle grin at the touch.

"Right here,"I spoke up, taking him with me up the small hill. Accepting it, he let our arms dangle as he seemed to forget all about his "sickness". Beaming at the realization, I couldn't help but stop him before we actually reached our destination. Wrapping my arms around his shoulders, I stood on the tips of my toes as I lightly pressed my lips against his. Snaking his hands around my waist, he kissed me back, his smile obvious against my lips.

Then, he remembered his cover as he quickly pulled away and fake coughed.

"You can quit pretending now,"I sighed, placing my hand back in his.

"Pretending?"

"Yeah. I know that you're not sick,"I shrugged. When he almost froze in his tracks I tugged on his hand with a little more effort.

"You knew?"He mumbled.

"Yeah. It took me a minute, but I do now."

"So why are we outside then? If you know?"

"Because you obviously need my attention. You wouldn't do this if you didn't."

"Well, you haven't been hanging out with me lately,"He defended.

"And you couldn't just tell me that?"

"Um, I'm me? Remember?"

Laughing a little, I rolled my eyes as we got to the top of the hill. Free of weeds and nuisances, it was more beautiful than any other part of the Deadheads. The only plants were grass and colorful flowers. It was open sunshine and absolute peace.

And set up right in the middle was a blanket and picnic basket, courtesy of Fry.

Taking a seat on the blanket, I patted the spot beside me. With his eyes still wide in disbelief, he slowly walked over. Doing so, he just gazed at me as if I was every good thing in one.

"I love you,"He whispered, putting his hand on my knee. Scooting closer, I leaned my head against his shoulder while slowly running my thumb over his knuckles. Closing my eyes, I just took in the feeling of loving Minho. Private but genuine displays of affection are his favorite thing. He's always happy when I do something that means we'll get to spend time alone together. That's what he manages to do more often than his schedule should allow.

Still, he does it for me because he loves me.

The way I do things for him because I love him.

"I'm sorry I haven't been giving you the attention you want,"I apologized, opening my eyes and looking up at him.

"As long as you're still my girl, it's okay,"He assured me, cupping my face with his hands.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah,"He nodded, closing his eyes and leaning in. Doing the same, I brushed my lips over his. He was absolutely addicting to be around. Every glance, every word, every touch, every kiss, left me more and more hooked. He's like my oxygen. I can only go so long before needing to have him again. He's my everything, and I will never, ever forget that. Even if my mind sometimes gets busy, I know that we'll always find a way to be side by side.

"One thing though?"He asked as he pulled away but kept his gentle touch.

"Anything you want."

"Spend the next Greenie night with me?"He asked, his eyes begging for me to say yes.

"I was already planning on it, my secret romantic."
