"Great!" Danny says, clapping his hands together to get everyone's attention. The dinner table falls silent as everyone looks towards him. It's a full house today and, honestly, Danny's a little nervous. "I'm sure you're all wondering why I gathered you here today."

"It's dinnertime. In our house." Duke mutters, while doing a very bad job of concealing his yawn. He holds his fork poised over the braised beef, but, just like everyone else, still looks towards Danny before tucking in. It's intriguing enough to wait.

"Yeah, no one misses Alfie's dinner." Dick says, with a brilliant smile that Danny can't help but return.

"Precisely! What better time to talk to you all than when you're all actually here!"

"Wait, I thought you came round to work on our English essays?" Tim asks, blinking owlishly.

"I'm afraid I've lured you here under false pretences, Tim."

"This is where I live."

"I would still really appreciate help on that essay though, I mean, what the hell is Hamlet even about? I just don't get that old time-y language, like 'Hark! A ghost hath killed me!' - absolute rubbish, what does that even mean?"

"The ghost never kills anyone in Hamlet, he's there to tell Hamlet that he was murdered. Have you actually read it?"

"Boys, please." Bruce interrupts, looking to the world as if he wants to hang his head in his hands. "Danny, you were about to say something?"

Nobody says a word. Nobody even blinks, all as shocked as the other, watching open-mouthed as Danny pulls his laptop out from beside his chair. Bruce can definitely feel a headache coming on.

Kryk ficlet about something something january, insecurities, the Earth, and sisters. Pt. 2/3(?)

Snow is falling, you're floating, let me anchor you.

"Geez, you look more nervous than me." Yaku blurts, observing Kuroo silently run circles in his head.

They're walking around the corner, about to reach the restaurant that Kuroo agreed on with his sister. Kuroo promised Yaku he'd make this work out sometime soon, but he didn't expect it to be this soon. Honestly, he was surprised she even picked up at all. Then he tried setting up a date a month ahead, which she declined due to her 'very busy schedule'. Kuroo's certain she's definitely wanting to avoid this too. Although, what he didn't expect is for her to say that she was free two weeks from then. So that's why he and Yaku are walking in the snow to a small restaurant after a long train ride to Yokohama in the middle of January. And each step they take closer, the more Kuroo realizes how much he dreads this trip. Or dreads his family. Well, his sister mostly.

"I'm not nervous." Kuroo replies. "She irritates me. Not in the way you do, I love you, she's just always rubbed me off in the wrong way." Kuroo begrudges.

"More than Daishou?" Yaku questions, his voice airing in amusement.

"Yes. More than Daishou." Kuroo admits, scrunching his brow.

"Wow. That's a new low." Yaku hums. "But, seriously, you said you didn't care what she thinks. I'm not going to get butthurt if she doesn't like me. I'm stuck with you whether she approves or not." Yaku says truthfully, nudging Kuroo in the shoulder with his fist.

"Yeah, because I don't care what she thinks." Kuroo emphasizes. "Don't give me that look. I mean it! I genuinely don't. I don't care what she thinks of me, per se.."

"So you're worried that she'll think badly of me?" Yaku asks with an air of curiosity, rather than suspicion.

"It's more like.. well, yes. Sort of. Yes. But just to be clear, it's not because I think you're a bad person that she will immediately disapprove of." Kuroo attempts to explain.

"Obviously." Yaku responds, sureness radiating off his voice. He looks up at Kuroo afterwards, insinuating for him to continue.

"What I'm trying to say is, you're an amazing person. Don't say anything, I'm not done yet." Kuroo stops Yaku before he can butt in. "And I love you so much. Which you'd think that these two things would matter as a deciding factor on whether or not my sister will react amicably... but I highly doubt any of it would even matter." Kuroo lets out.

Yaku inhales, places his hands together, before pointing both accusingly at Kuroo. "Tetsu, dear, please get to the fucking point."

"Mori, she's never ever cared about anything I do or like. Which wasn't of course, a big deal to me like ever. Except, until now. Because now, you mean so much more than anything I've ever liked."

"Except volleyball of course." Yaku remarks.

"Ehh more or less equal I'd say." Kuroo laughs.

"Okay sureee, but continue." Yaku rolls his eyes, knowing there's much more to his idiot boyfriend's internal family complex.

Kuroo sighs. "I never cared if she had nothing to do with my life. I mean, heck, she didn't say a single thing to me when our team went to nationals. My mom at least sent a text! And graduation! Both graduations! She didn't even show up. Only called to say congrats and then hung up." He says exasperatedly, leaving him to wonder why he's so out of breath after letting that out. "So yeah, she can do her own thing, it's whatever. But, there's one thing I will absolutely not stand for her to ignore or treat like it's not a big deal, and that's you. Because if she did, then I know it's simply based on her view of me. And I don't think I could ever let anyone treat you that way, especially if it's because of me. Because you are such a-"

"Tetsu. Hey, I get it." Yaku says gentle yet firm. He stands in front of him, physically stopping Kuroo in his tracks, before reaching to hold his shoulders in place. Then he continues, "But, I also completely disagree. You're forgetting the fact that you are also a fucking amazing person. So please for the love of god, please remember that. Because then, who cares what she thinks of you or me. I already know who I am, you do too. Don't let her get to your head before we've even seen her yet."

Kuroo looks into Yaku's eyes and feels vulnerable yet comforted all at once. He feels grounded. He closes his eyes, calming down his nerves that, he denied in having, and opens them to meet Yaku's eyes again. "Okay." He slowly nods.

"We don't need her blessing." Yaku reassures. "Besides, I already got your dad's and Kenma's, and those are the only ones that really matter anyways." Yaku smiles, which only brings Kuroo back down to Earth once more. Yaku does that. There's this security about him that Kuroo craves and adores, and also partially envies.

"Damn it." Kuroo curses. He lowers his neck so his forehead meets Yaku's. "I love you so much, you know that?" He takes a deep breath, wrapping his arms around the smaller man. "Thanks, I needed that."

Yaku chuckles, his warm breath visible in the cold. "You really overthink the easiest of things. I just need you here in the present, Okay? Otherwise those five braincells of yours are going to explode." Yaku laughs lightheartedly, which is adorable even if it was after he just insulted Kuroo basically three times in a row. Yet, every bit of it helped Kuroo ease up a bit, only confirming that he must be some sort of masochist.

Instead of delving into that thought, he decides to come back to Earth, where Yaku is waiting for him. Kuroo presses a light kiss atop of Yaku's head and leaves his lips there, breathing him in.

"You ready now?" Yaku asks, peering his head up.

Kuroo smiles. "Yeah, I'm ready."

i’m sorry to bring this up again, but i wanted to ask how are you making sense of harry having his former girlfriend’s name tattooed on his thigh if you don’t think they were really together? i’m not a larrie and i follow you for your louis content, but i respect your opinions, so i guess i’m coming more from a place of curiosity rather than seeking reassurance. do you not even entertain for one second the idea that you might’ve been wrong about things? that harry was really in a relationship with olivia? that he might actually be attracted to women? that he might’ve been with louis once upon a time but not anymore? have you ever challenged your confirmation bias? again, i’m not trying to attack you, i really just want to understand where you stand. i hope u don’t take this the wrong way.

well first of all you bring up the very good point that there are actually multiple Qs at play and not just one, despite the fandom's (and my) attempts to simplify things. I personally am open to the possibility that Harry and Louis are no longer together- we don't have enough info to say for sure either way about that, and I am constantly recalibrating and considering and I'm going to be totally honest, getting flat out ANNOYED at how often I find myself being like oh damn they ARE still (or again) together ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? Because it seems so improbable and illogical! You think I don't KNOW I sound fucking crazy?! Absolutely infuriating, and yet there are just all these little Things all the time. Plus ofc the fact that they both constantly wink wink larrie stuff to the fandom which could just be playing to the crowd... except then they both continually take it that little extra way that makes me go oh but... you really didn't NEED to go THERE that seems VERY pointed?? But also sometimes I go well. Okay, maybe not. Since they both seem super happy at this point, it doesn't stress me out to think they might have split, the way it would if they seemed miserable and were still churning out heartbreak songs, but it's schrodingers relationship and with all the savvy they've acquired around this stuff and all the balls they're keeping in the air wrt to fandom etc that's unlikely to change in favor of us knowing anything for sure for a very long time, if ever. But I do not doubt that they WERE together, it's simply not realistic. The evidence of it is overwhelming and imo undeniable when taken all together. And the thing is that knowing one thing with certainty (that they were together back when), having really looked at the things that happened during that time, does actually have a lot of bearing on the rest of it even if they aren't together anymore. Because knowing that and having seen the way fake relationships to make them seem straight were managed back then means that when I see the EXACT SAME things being done in the current day, like they are working from a fucking blueprint, no, I don't look at that and think it might be real. I know that Louis and Eleanor wasn't real in... whenever they allegedly got together lol, that story still isn't even quite straight, so why would I believe they were together in 2020? And if I know Louis has a tattoo for a fake girlfriend why would it change my mind about a million things I can see with my own eyes if Harry did the same (if indeed he even has who tf knows)? So despite what I said at the beginning, in the end it kind of does just come down to the one question people are always asking, are you a larrie? Because when you've actually been down the rabbit hole of details that ends up with you saying yes to that question, it's like acquiring a rosetta stone that unlocks the ability to read everything else, like putting on xray glasses, and I look at what is so obviously a publicity relationship (holivia) and whether H and L are still together has nothing to do with why I don't think it's real. Like could a celeb relationship be both used in typical ways for publicity and be or become real on some level (looking at you Liam, heyyy), sure, but for this question the fact that I have never seen Harry show the slightest sign of attraction to a woman in his whole life and he so clearly embraces and identifies so strongly with gay male culture in every possible way and never shuts up about how much he loves cock does play into my thinking; I simply do not think he is attracted to women, no, and I have yet to see him do anything that doesn't seem consistent with things a closeted pop star might chose to do. So in conclusion yes I have challenged my bias and decided I'm right lol! But for real- all the time I consider that they perhaps aren't together but that isn't really the point when it comes to believing they are gay.

I dreamt of being in a small rural village and at some point the rumor of an abbandonate house full of random stuff but as well as coins is spread. I go and the place feels strangely familiar, i do roomage around, but instead of coins i find two sheets of stickers (i have been wanting stikers for a while) but then i start walking towards the actual house. Is yellow and small the type of house I'm familiar with by growing up in rural areas. I go in and is full of people rummaging through stuff. The house feels familiar and i feel they shouldn't be there. I get on a desk and i yell "DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOU ARE?" and they look at me confused "Is this because of the Smarciassa (An ogress idk how i know that)? But she left so long ago?"

And i yel back "This is more than an ogress house."

"A witch house?"

"More powerful." i say and they all look very scared suddenly.

And then i don't know why but suddenly i scream a name. Or more like, I'm calling him there. As if i know for sure he will answer. "APOLLO!!!!"

AND SUDDENLY THE ROOM BUST WITH LIGHT

Immediately after I'm walking down the village again, away from the house, and everyone is there astonished or cheering and clapping, but not at me, someone behind me. And i see this very Australian guy in a bandana, shorts and a hoodie, dancing around (a bit goofy) basking in the cheering, he surpasses me. I don't know why but is as if i expect him to see me. That doesn't happen. He passes me and takes off his hoodie and bandana, under he has a red tank top and he joins some nymphs (women and male) to have fun with.

In that moment i feel like i have to go but i smile and say "Bye Apollo!" and i don't expect him to notice me, but he does and he stares at me shocked, like if i was the last person he ever experienced to meet there, his eye are so blue and his hair so blonde and he has the slightest blonde stubble. And then i see a group of children with clear mischievous intentions getting too close so i shoo them but the nymphs start playfully chasing them, and i feel like i need to move away, the story is supposed to be over and i shouldn't be there anymore. But i suddenly bump against a chest, and i feel arms wrapping around me and lips kiss the top of my head and i know he is crying before i can see his face and he says "Please come back." and i look up and Apollo is looking down at me crying . "Please be part of my world again."

And i woke up with this intense emotions in my chest, first happiness, then calm, then just as if i have met a very dear long lost friend after so long and i start crying, like not tearing up, i mean full on sobbing. It wasn't romantic, it was just a reunion.

I never worshipped Apollo, but i remember this exact man showing up in my dreams before when i was like, in high school, i don't remember what the dreams were about but i remember this guy would show up and just hang out in my dreams, i didn't know who he was or why he was there but he just showed up and hanged out.

a friend of mine is starting to get into house after being vaguely intrigued by it for months which i am very excited about. they arent suited for watching a bunch of 40 minute episodes to get invested, so theyve been watching random episodes, those ive recommended, and clips and compilations online. their knowledge of the show is this, fandom jokes, and the weirdest parts i love talking about

tl;dr: this friend knows major plot points but not everything in between. this results in conversations where they say something pretty simple about house, meanwhile im actively refraining from sending an entire thinkpiece (impossible)
