Strangely that's a dream I would pay to see in movie format X)

But fascinatingly, this is literaly a manifestation of Moorcock's "Epic Pooh". I think it was him who first put Winnie the Pooh and Lord of the Rings on the same level? Saying they were basically the same thing, with the same intentions, motifs, and view of the world.... So strange how theories of fantasy and literary essays end up echoing cute weird dreams...

A little AU based on a dream I had recently in which the Fellowship teamed up with the Winnie the Pooh characters to escape a natural disaster, and when it was over they all moved into a house together with a massive stockpile of food :) Here's just a few of their interactions; I'll probably do more sketches of the AU if people are interested and if I feel inspired to (which I definitely have more ideas for it!) Anyway I just remember that they were all best buds in the dream and it was super cute so I wanted to do something with it <3

here's a lucid dreaming tip i learned at summer camp ages ago that has always worked for me. i can't find anything about this online so i don't know if it's 100% reliable for everyone, BUT.

check clocks twice when you're awake.

like. look at your phone or computer clock right now. look away. then look back.

get in the habit of doing that every time you check the time. because in a dream, the clock will say something distorted or a different time entirely when you look again. and if you get in the habit of doing this awake, you Will do it in dreams.

not only has this trick helped me realize when i'm dreaming before, but also, as someone with chronic nightmares: LIFESAVING. one of my most vivid dream-memories is of being in the streets of a burning city with nuclear fallout raining down n crowds running around hysterical with panic. and in the dream, i thought, "i need a clock, i need a clock." this was before i had a smartphone irl, so i didnt have that in my dream. i chased down a random running passerby with a watch and grabbed his arm and Wrenched it over to look at the time, twice, and found out i was dreaming.

i did not gain control over this dream because it is pretty hard to mentally reshape a full-scale apocalypse, But. i just sat down in the street and watched everything happening with idle fascination while i waited to wake up.

do u know how much of a relief it is. to have that kind of trick up ur sleeve.

Last night I had one of the first dreams I've had with a celebrity/character in it.

I met David Tennant in the dream and he hugged me and was real nice as you'd expect and then we went on a walk to the front of the school.

Then I had two other separate dreams and in each of them I told some people I met David Tennant so I'm pretty sure my dreams are linked through some DCU (dream cinematic universe)

Also I can't remember if he was English or Scottish because most of the stuff I've seen of David he's English because god forbid him be Scottish.

This is now in my top three dreams along with my dream where I met Freddie Mercury and the one where I went to a ice cream shop that Crowley and Aziraphale ran and Crowley gave me a ice cream with gummy shakes stuck in it

I was so determined to tell a famous director what was wrong with Marvel movies that I left a really long, really mean voice note and like???

So I restarted meds I’ve been supposed to be on after at least two weeks off them and the result has been very vid bad dreams.

After two nights of being an absolute unhinged dickhead to my high school classmates, my brain finally switched it up and gaslit me into waking up thinking I’d tried to rescue two rats and three gerbils and caused them to accidentally die of dehydration in a paper bag AND WHEN I TELL YOU I WOKE UP AND HAD TO FULLY POINT OUT THE INCONSISTENCIES FOR HALF AN HOUR TO CONVINCE MYSELF I HADNT DONE THAT.
