That moment when you dream you find a cat with a collar with a number on it, call it, and get Markiplier, and itโ€™s apparently part of a contest to win four million, but itโ€™s four million cans of something, and you donโ€™t want that, and complain you just wanted to return a cat, but it turns outโ€ฆ
โ€ฆHe was being scammed somehow, and you go off on some weird adventure to find the culprit, and for some reason this involves Markiplier hotwiring a car and driving into an enormous house to catch someone, but they get away, except they donโ€™t get away, theyโ€™re hanging out in the drivewayโ€ฆ
โ€ฆAnd theyโ€™re some sort of upset frenemy with three accomplices whom I know for some reason, Team Rocket style, and I comfort them, but the whole thing becomes a cartoon Iโ€™m watching, and for some reason Lisa Simpson is the implied villainous mastermind?
So all very coherent and sensible.

This morning, about 30-45 minutes before my alarm went off and I was half awake, I was dreaming about the Romani ranch defence quest in Majora's Mask. Fending off the aliens takes only a few minutes real time but since I was dreaming it of course lasted ages.
The in-game time was normal and the aliens were too fast, I started getting overwhelmed so I played the Inverted Song of Time. Instead of a text box confirming if I wanted to slow the flow of time, Tatl asked "Are you sure you want to do that?", and her dialogue box closed. I played the song again and everything proceeded as normal.
I woke up before I failed or succeeded so I have no idea how the rest would have played out.

Iโ€™ll Be Talking More About My Actual Shifting Experiences
Well, I already have, but Iโ€™d regard those more as โ€˜manifestationโ€™ experiences. I like to use the word manifestation to describe more common shiftsโ€”things that arenโ€™t too different from our past reality but still qualify as both a shift and a manifestation.
For example, breathing and walking are shifts in reality, but theyโ€™re so ingrained that I wouldnโ€™t even call them manifestations.
However, โ€˜shiftsโ€™ like getting out of jury duty, extending a deadline, randomly getting bought an Uber at a bus stop, or receiving a higher pay rate after already being told it was cappedโ€”those are things Iโ€™d classify as manifestations.
I use the term shifting for way more dramatic changes. For example, shifting into a timeline where Trump never existed/was never elected, xenophobia doesnโ€™t exist, waking up in an entirely different place, bringing people back from the dead, or traveling to a universe where magic is more advanced. You know, things that would change society and reality so drastically that you couldnโ€™t help but notice how everything is different.
Anyhow, Time for Some Shifting Storytimes.
So, I cracked the code for lucid dreaming to shifting, and now I totally get how people have been shifting accidentally. ๐Ÿ˜ญ
Hi, Iโ€™m Zip Yo Lip. Iโ€™ve talked about my experiences with lucid dreaming before. Iโ€™m a master lucid dreamer and master reality shifter who, up until recently, could not shift through dreams. I said Iโ€™d learn it soon, and lo and beholdโ€ฆ I actually did end up learning how to shift through dreams!
For me, it was more about realizing, โ€œOkay, well. Obviously, Iโ€™m dreaming, but Iโ€™m so powerful that I can easily just make this my reality and stay here for a loooong time.โ€ Shifting like that was super trippyโ€”it was like realizing weโ€™re just a dream inside a dream inside a dream. Especially when you shift straight from your dream into a new reality, it makes you wonder, โ€œDamnโ€ฆ was that past timeline even real?โ€ And to you, it really isnโ€™t anymore.
But! It was at some point.
Your past reality doesnโ€™t really exist anymore because youโ€™re not there to experience itโ€”you can only recall it through memories. Crazy stuff.
It was extra trippy because Iโ€™ve been lucid dreaming for so long that I got used to my symptoms. A while back, my dreams caught on to the method I was using to recognize I was dreaming, and it actually became harder for me to lucid dream. My dreams started giving me phantom senses. I remember getting stabbed in a dream once and waking up feeling the shadow of where Iโ€™d been stabbed.
The Dream That Helped Me Shift
In the dream I used to shift, I could literally feel people physically touching me. That was the spark that reminded me about shifting while I was still in that state of almost getting swept away by the dream.
Because if you donโ€™t control your dreams, they control youโ€”and theyโ€™ll take the flow wherever the hell they want.
When I first started lucid dreaming, I had no physical senses in my dreams. That hasnโ€™t been the case for a long time, thoughโ€”I at least have a phantom limb-like sense of touch now.
So in this dream, I felt somebody touch my shoulder. Since I was aware I was dreaming, I was shook.
โ€œWhat the fuck? How are you doing that? How can I feel you? Itโ€™s not like I shiftedโ€”Oh my god, wait, I can totally shift right now! Okayโ€ฆ boom.โ€
I grounded myself completely in that dream reality. Just focusing my awareness on my physical senses was enough to shift me completely.
Tumblr media
It was a random shift, and I hadnโ€™t planned it at all. Thatโ€™s why I ended up shifting back. Also, I wanted to document the experience here.
The fact that I was able to turn my dream into reality makes me think dreams have always just been a form of getting lost in your imagination.
Looking Back on My Old Fears
Kinda sucks thinking about it like that, though, because most of my childhood dreams were nightmares. Then again, I was also incredibly paranoid and constantly convinced there was a monster in my closet out to get me. Definitely explains why. Accidentally set myself up with that one.
I suppose that was a bad way of thinkingโ€”especially for my past self, who was always imagining the worst and believing those fears had a real possibility of happening. No matter how monstrous or unlikely they seemed in this reality, my younger self still thought, "What if?"
But honestly? Iโ€™m way past the point of caring. Iโ€™m not even scared of the things I used to be scared of.
If anything, I see it as a victory.
Like, Yeahโ€ฆ I overcame my fear. What did you do?

This has the same energy as one of those surreal/unintentionally ominous Sesame Street skits made to show babies the difference between big and small things or some concept like that.

It might not be universal but I have them too. Mine are usually about broken or gross toilets rather than public ones though

I had a dream last night that I was trying to translate something into Italian and I discovered that Google Translate had added several languages that weren't,,, actually languages?
Like they had one called 'Neurotypical' that took cryptic double-meanings and made them straight-forward, and they had one called 'Corporate' that translated bureaucratic bullshit into plain words, but the one that I remember most clearly was called 'Passive-Aggressive Asshole,' and it looked like this -
Tumblr media
In the dream I also put in "You're so welcome" and it translated it to "You'd better be grateful, you fuck."

Iโ€™ve never remembered my dreams consistently. Almost the only times Iโ€™m even aware that I had a dream was immediately after waking up from a nightmare. Maybe like 4 times a year I have a brief memory of a single image or scene from a dream? But yeah, for the most part dreaming is just not something that happens for me. If Iโ€™m aware of having dreamt, it usually means that I didnโ€™t sleep well; a good nightโ€™s sleep basically feels like closing my eyes, relaxing, and then waking up.
everybody struggles with and undervalues sleep because our culture has forgotten how to consistently remember our dreams. in the past, people discussed and documented and valued their dreams, so they woke up remembering them every morning. the experience of the dreaming world is such that if a person remembers the experience consistently, they are naturally enticed to good sleep, and wake up easily when it's time. call me a schizoposter but this is my truth. and improving my ability to enter the dream world as i fall asleep and recall my dreams later has had a tremendous effect on my life and health.
