hmmm not a fan of the popularization of the “all cosmetic surgery is gender affirming surgery/cis people get gender affirming procedures too” talking point talking point because it really limits critiques of the cosmetic surgery industry and how it profits off of racist, ageist, antisemitic, fatphobic, and sexist beauty standards. women make up 92% of people who get cosmetic procedures.

The problem is. When I go, "Oh, this system is bullshit" and try to live outside it. My choices are still defined by that system. And that makes me feel really weird.
#I love being a woman so much but jfc am I having strange feelings about what that means in a societal sense lately#and like. obviously the most important thing is to unapologetically be my authentic self. which I try to do every day.#but sometimes it's VERY hard to tell what my authentic self is versus what I'm rebelling against versus what society tells me I am#and it would be GREAT if I could find OTHER PEOPLE who felt like this but that would require me airing out all my baggage and#no one wants that.#(okay. like. tame example. I think it's absolute bullshit that women are expected to shave. and for the most part I don't. and I don't care#whether other people do or not. but I HATE the way that armpit hair feels on my body. so I do usually shave that. I would shave that even i#there was no cultural expectation for women to shave at all. but I feel like a bad person for complying with this cultural standard even if#the reasons for it have nothing to do with gaining general acceptance or appealing to some Standard of Femininity.)#(and it's not that me making this choice is like. Inherently Feminist™ it's not. but it feels ANTI-feminist. and then if you map this to#a bunch of other more serious shit..............)#it's rough out here!#(and then there's the fact that I'm CONSTANTLY bombarded with '''''takes''''' claiming that women don't actually suffer under the patriarch#and that misogyny isn't real. but the t/rfs keep trying to have a monopoly on THAT conversation and I do NOT want to be associated#with them because THEY ARE ALSO WRONG. AND THEY DON'T ACTUALLY SUPPORT THE LIBERATION OF WOMEN LMAO)#(so then it's just like wow! I really do feel incredibly alone! nothing resonates with me at all!)#In the Vents

I saw a post about someone sadly getting terf interaction on their anti-terf post, so I went through some of the names they screenshotted to block some people. I already thought terfs were fucking weird but they are weirder than I thought
Many of the ones I just blocked claimed to be gender abolitionists, but then are obsessed with gender by calling trans women or nonbinary AMABs "men".
They claim that trans people are misogynistic because many do adhere to some typical gender roles (girls wearing dresses and having long hair, boys wearing pants and having short hair), but then turn around and constantly misgender trans people who don't conform to gender roles (masculine AMABs and feminine AFABs). A second thing: they're mad at trans people talking about their awakening by using gender role examples (Ex. Someone putting on their mother's clothes and realizing they're not actually a boy) but also get mad at us if we simply talk about it from a feelings standpoint, that we simply feel like another gender than we were assigned. They start screaming at us and demanding a "better definition" of man and woman
I know terfs are irrational and there's no point in trying to make their arguments make sense, but my goodness, they are more nonsensical than I thought

I really think society as a whole needs to work on better deradicalization strategies. So far the one that works best for me is "relate [unreasonable hatred] to [thing you both don't like]", sort of like how conflict management works. It's not you vs me, it's you and me vs the problem. If you've got better ideas/strategies/studies drop em lol

Myths about tfems you'll often hear that're actually just anti-transfeminism
Egg jokes are just 'reinventing gender roles'(VERY out of pocket stock phrase to use when talking about transfems btw)and 'telling people you know their gender better than them'.Literally every transfem was an egg once and these jokes are good faith attempts at trying to reassure possible ones and help them crack and save them from possible mental health problems that can straight up escalate into suicide.I've yet to encounter a femme amab person who was actually bothered by egg jokes and if you're a transmasc or tme nonbinary person who feels targeted, then that's a you problem and you need to know when things aren't about you and i don't feel bad for you since you're hurting transfeminine people with harmful rethoric for your own comfort
Trans women don't get periods or can't get pregnant. With specific modes of physical transition, trans women can have biokids and estrogen gives transfems all the symptoms of a period except the blood
F*mboy isn't a slur against trans women and is actually a seperate trans identity.F*mboy dosen't mean femme transmasc or genderqueer,it's a transmisogynistic porn category catered to cis people and transfems are frequently called the fb slur before coming out to degrade their desire for femininity and girlhood as purely sexual and call them 'not real women and just feminine men faking it'.I get where the transmasc confusion comes from but please use another word and as a black trans man i feel no connection to this very white and orientalized asian aesthetic
Transfems don't care about trans men's issues and just hate us.This is a pretty classic spin on the 'hysterical woman' stereotype but with trans added to make it acceptable as 'not real misogyny' for bioessentialism-Tfems speak up for tmascs constantly and on the regular and simply have a backbone about it so it's seen as 'not enough' by transmascs who think they can't misogynistic based on bioessentialism too('i can't be a misogynist,i have a pussy!!!' is the guist).Transandrophobia as a term and concept was coined by a tboy with a corrective rape kink against lesbians so it can't be seperated from misogyny and by extension transmisogyny, especially with transbians in mind.Yes,trans men face a specific special discrimination but that's transmascphobia, not 'misandry',which isn't real and since it's not but transphobia and misogyny both are, transmisogyny is in fact worse than transmascphobia.'Please aknowledge that while we're in this together, you still have privilege over me and should use it to protect me' isn't an insult
Transfeminism and nonbinary identities can't co-exist in the same person.Nonbinary is agab neutral and transfems even coined their own semi-popular xenogender-'Girlthing'.Though it's important to note a lot transfems are uncomfortable with nonbinary labels and terms thanks to the transmisogyny forced onto them to deprive them of binary womanhood, actual nonbinary tfems are very real
Transfems are all rail thin and/or have 'mommy milkers'.While not universal, transfems are often mid-sized/fat and not often finished transitioning and i've seen and heard many of them complaining about how even transfem characters in art don't take the diversity of transfem bodies into account and place unrealistic standards onto them that're pretty reflective of misogynistic apperance standards in general yet treated as an exception somehow(the 'somehow' is these tme artists don't see trans women as a real kind of woman that exists). Not all your transfem depictions should be flatchested, that's a stereotype too and can come with the implication busty transfems are 'shameful' and big boobs on tfem characters is a trademark of tfem nsfw artists atp,but the reverse isn't the way to go
Trans women aren't the primary target of t*rfs. This one is flat-out gaslightning,t*rfs are more obsessed with tfems than anyone else they hate and their ideology may be anti-transgender in general but it has an emphasis on transgender women. This is why they specify 'trans exclusionary r*dical feminist' i.e their focus is women. They hurt trans men, nonbinary people and nonbinary trans men too and that should never be shoved aside but focusing on transfems and transmisogyny in anti-t*rf talk and action isn't doing that,it's simply tackling the biggest problem at hand and arguing against that is silencing transfems against a hate group created for them foremost and inevertedly opening up to give more power to t*rfs, not less
Trans women are largely white. This is racialized transmisogyny, transmisogynoir, erasure of twoc and plays into the idea being queer is 'white people shit',something baby gays of color are told constantly growing up to invalidate our heritage and discourage us from coming out. There's as many trans women of color and black trans women as there are white ones and you can't choose to not meet them and call yourself an ally

i find the way the conversation around imane khelif is framed really weird like.. she is a biological woman she was literally born a woman, she grew up being told she wasnt allowed to box because she was a girl or that boxing was for boys, she didn't even find out she had XY chromosomes until 2023 (and btw if chromosomes testing was done on everyone so so many people who say "chromosomes = sex" would not have the standard chromosomes for their sex.... because chromosomes do not determine sex ..... people are assigned their sex as birth based on their genitals which is why plenty of intersex people don't find out they are intersex until they start puberty), she lives in a country where it is illegal to transition. there is no universe where she is a trans woman and everyone saying so looks stupid. Also obviously she is an incredibly good boxer she literally won a gold medal but she's not like. ridiculously better or particularly advantaged over people playing at the same level, she lost 9 fights to other boxers during the paris olympics alone.
She was defamed by notorious t*rfs and transphobes online, notably elon musk and jk rowling, two people incredibly famous for sitting on their piles of money and chatting shit about people with far more talent and skill than they will ever have in their lives and I hope imane khelif wins the lawsuit because this is an issue of racism, misogyny and transphobia
but people keep saying "she's a biological woman she doesn't deserve the hate and bullying" and like. obviously not. but 1000% a lot of the people supporting her would not support her if she WAS trans and will never give the same support and kindness to trans people being bullied and slandered as they would for cis people...
giving "only anti transphobia when it happens to people who don't deserve it (cis) rather that people who do (trans)" but like who gaf about trans woman in sport (ik who does obviously but... u r dumb)

Fyi South Korea has a pretty bad history of genuine r*dfem/t*rf extremist movements that have committed literal violence in and out of the country there and that’s why I was always sus of movements like 4b. Which fyi is a very fringe movement that doesn’t represent why the birth rates in South Korea are declining (which is just a very intense cost of living crisis).
For further reference on the types of r*dfem groups to be aware of it’s:
Just a reminder that men are not born misogynistic, it is a learned behavior and anti men sentiments can quickly turn into transphobia and straight up racism.

honestly it's amazing how quickly the BBC et al have had to u-turn over Kate Forbes already
she's a candidate to replace Sturgeon as the first minister, and she came out the gate in the leadership contest as expressly anti-trans. so the british media has just been falling over themselves to hype her up to be scotland's transphobe-in-chief
and now they're having to backtrack on all of that because she's just being like OH and i'm homophobic OH and pro life OH and i hate nonchristians and OH i disapprove of sex outside marriage etc etc etc and the media are all having to be like "ooh noo we love t*rfs but homophobes are bad! we promise there's no overlap between trans hatred and other hate groups ever definitely (except for always)"

This post might come off out of left field, since it’s unrelated to what I usually post, but i need to scream into the void.
• Transmisogyny is a term for trans women/fems. Not trans men or trans mascs. Trans women and trans fems.
Idk why, but I’m seeing an influx of people (mostly on tiktok) trying to convince trans men/mascs that bigotry uniquely targeted towards us is called either “regular transphobia,” “regular misogyny,” or “transmisogyny,” usually in response to a trans man/masc refereeing to it as transandrophobia or anti-transmasculinity. Additionally I’ve seen people try to say that “transandrophobia/Anti-transmasculinity doesn’t exist” because “trans women/fems have it worse.” Tiktok commenters are good at one thing, and it’s being LOUD AND WRONG !!! And its always cis “allies” doing this. Why are we pitting trans people against each other hello??
• Anti-transmasculinity exists, and we are presented with it constantly. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to recognize that trans men/mascs are treated differently from trans women/fem—and no, it’s not trans men/mascs being “more privileged,” because we’re not. The victimization and infantilization of trans men/mascs (“confused young girls” rhetoric) is a good example of Anti-transmasculinity. Another is r*dfems/t*rfs calling us “gender traitors” and saying we “hating ourselves.” Being treated as a fetish, while affecting all trans people, varies differently depending on the group targeted, like how black people are fetishized, but black women are fetishized differently from black men. Ergo, trans men/mascs face a unique kind of fetishization (mostly from cis men) that differs from trans women/fems. With these few examples in mind, this leads to my next point…
• Trans men/mascs are NOT Cis men!
Why are so many people so willing to ignore/dismiss trans-masculinity struggles just because trans-masculinity just so happen to include men?? Why are trans men being treated the same way as cis men?? Did y’all forget the TRANS part in TRANS men??
Just because a trans man is a man, doesn’t mean he suddenly gains male privilege, especially if he’s openly queer or don’t fit conventional gender norms. The only ones that do are the ones that pass, and not every trans man is a cishet-passing individual. It’s even more egregious when the target is a white trans man/masc, because suddenly people forget that trans men/mascs of color don’t exist, and when they do remember us they act like trans men/mascs of color have the same “privileges” as white trans men/mascs, or even cis white men because “male privilage” and/or “AFAB privilege (???)” im sorry, what???
Im a pre-t & pre-op black transmasc, I don’t recall gaining the privilege of a cis white man just because i go by he/they 🤔 I must’ve missed the update or something.
Anywho to sign this off: These are probably uninformed children or trolls causing an unnecessary divide between the community + its tiktok + it’s better to battle transphobia/transmisogyny/anti-transmasculinity irl than online, so honestly I shouldn’t let these obtuse things get to me. I’m just putting this here to get it out my brain.

My hot take that i know tumblr will not believe is that, in the USA especially, it is not common knowledge in real life that JK Rowling and by extension Harry Potter are symbols of severe anti-transgender sentiment. You have to be moderately to severely Online or deep in activism circles to know that. Almost everyone here has been an active Tumblr and/or Twitter user for years, which means that you, dear reader, are multiple orders of magnitude more Online AND significantly deeper in activism circles than almost anyone you'll pass on the street.
Just in the past two weeks I've met professional psychologists, doctoral candidates in counseling, inclusive medical providers, and a good handful more otherwise-accepting professionals who didn't bat an eye when brief HP references were casually mentioned in conversation. These are the type of people who apologize and correct themselves for saying "homeless" instead of "unhoused", but then joke about which Hogwarts House they would be in. This is absolutely a "non-geologists all know the chemical structure of quartz" type of issue.
Understand that I'm not trying to minimize the harm that Rowling, her ideology, her cultish followers, or her newer works have caused. Honestly I just kind of hope that this makes some of y'all feel better as you go into the world and see casual mentions of HP. Most people out in the brick-and-mortar world genuinely aren't attaching an ideology onto their memories of an old book series. Most people you pass on the street or in a store aren't using HP merch to mean they want to hurt you. Assume ignorance instead of malice until proven otherwise.
(T*rfs blocked on sight. They've chosen malice.)

Context, always the context
After we had gagging fun - and some, a small and unjustified heartbreak, too - with the newest 🎪 pic, let's put it a bit in context. I confess I am more and more immune to these: they are aimed at this fandom, of course - just to fuel further web wars and talks: never forget Xmas is round the corner, too. But they are also aimed at the Casuals, who still can't place McIdiot on her map and do not really care, to be honest.
So, what exactly do we have, here?
This:
Tumblr media
After more than ten years in showbiz, our C still needs a pointer to tell ignoramuses like me where exactly she is, on that picture?
How odd. How unfair. But let's imagine I am from Mars. I have no idea who these people are, including to each other. The legend tells me nothing: just C and T and zero details. They could very well be co-workers, acquaintances, friends...? Oh, she's married to him. Oh. Ok. For sure, they ooze bliss and happiness. For sure. I've seen broomsticks act more convincingly than this.
Also, the photographer. As a very trusted friend pointed out (thank you, forever indebted to you), this Bennett guy was all over the place, yesterday. According to Getty Images (https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/search/photographer?photographer=Dave%20Benett&assettype=image&sort=best&license=rf%2Crm), he attended at least seven other high profile London events yesterday and was paid to cover them, too.
Their list immediately places this minor happening in its right context and at its right place:
"Leave The World Behind" - UK Special Screening and afterparty. The one she attended with McIdiot.
Hackett London x David Gandy Wellwear Launch Party - Savile Row tailors, established in 1983. Huge success story from a humble Portobello Road clothes stall to a 160 shops global network and a part of LVMH group (remember? LOL). The one she did not attend with McIdiot.
"Femme" - Gala Screening - After Party - UK thriller, premiered at the Berlinale last spring. Will be released tomorrow in the UK and IE. 95% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes. The one she did not attend with McIdiot.
Skye McAlpine Celebrates The Opening Of Tavola's Christmas Pop-Up Shop, in Knightsbridge (along with Fitzrovia, my favorite London spot). Tavola is a high end tableware collection, carefully curated by Skye McAlpine - celebrated British cookbook author and an expert in Italian cuisine and fine dining. You should think two gin entrepreneurs would be thrilled to meet her, at another event she did not attend with McIdiot.
A Reception By The All Party Parliamentary Group Honouring Elton John For His Dedication To The Global Fight Against HIV AIDS. No further comments needed for this very, very posh event she did not attend with McIdiot. I doubt she has this type of connections.
The Anti Slavery Collective Inaugural Winter Gala at the Battersea Arts Center in London. Attended by royalty (yeah, ok: Fergie - but also, her two Princess daughters!), aristocrats (Count Nikolai von Bismarck comes to mind), showbiz people (Ed Sheeran - hello?) and of course, the press. But this is another very high profile event she did not attend with McIdiot.
Longines Dolce Vita Exhibition and after party - aimed at the high end luxury crowd. Another event she did not attend with McIdiot.
Smirnoff Celebrates New 'We Do Us' Initiative In Partnership With Tilting The Lens And Sink The Pink. Smirnoff, that legendary vodka which story started in Tsarist Moscow and now continues as part of the behemoth Diageo spirits group. Mhm. Now with an event tailored for the well-heeled LGBT+ and Generation Z crowds, organized in partnership with Tilting the Lens,  Sinéad Burke's consultancy firm with an absolutely spectacular client portfolio, featuring Gucci, Starbucks and -hey, nice to see you! - Soho House. LOL. You would think they could have grabbed a black cab and do anything to at least drop in and say hi. You would think they would be interested to meet with the other, less obvious, partner of this event, Stonegate, a major player on UK's hospitality scene. What a pity this was another event she did not attend with McIdiot!
Make no mistake. London is a real global metropolis. Une ville-monde (a World City), a notion coined by one of my masters, the wonderful French historian Fernand Braudel. As such, it currently stands at the epicenter of all that is trendy, new, exciting and expensive and it offers an endless array of opportunities for the brave and the bold. That was but a very incomplete sample of a Wednesday night on the London scene, busier than usually with all those end of year events. Out of the other seven of this sample, she had a profitable and realistic choice between at least two or three other events. She could have even coupled that after party with at least another one of those, if she had the right network to attract an invitation.
It is also plain to see, by now, TMcG is by no conceivable means the successful, multimillionaire businessman and entrepreneur. He is nowhere to be placed on this very rich, very diverse event scene. He does not attend any events by himself, whereas she carefully attends events all alone and does it very well - wouldn't that be because she has a name in her own right, too? He apparently does nothing, he apparently is Nobody. You should think a successful, multimillionaire, ambitious businessman would be proud to be seen just about everywhere with his up-and-coming actress wife, isn't it?
The sad truth is this clown only makes it to a cursory mention in a Daily Fail picture gallery when dragged along by C. At an event she most probably managed to get an invitation via Rami Malek, her co-star in The Amateur:
Tumblr media
That, my friends, is not C playing her Greta Garbo. That is C squandering every shred of sympathy capital she ever managed to acquire, with absurd determination.
But sure, keep on screeching, Stans. Keep on screeching. All of the above are cold, hard FACTS your queens carefully keep out of your reach. God forbid you come to the realization.

Pin post time!
I'm an aro and nonbinary Ojibwe person, my pronouns are they/them/vae/vaem, and I'm nameless right now but you can call me Wiisagi. I'm also disabled and I'll talk about that a lot!
I am pro-queer, pro-trans, pro-sex work, pro-prison abolition, pro-abortion, and very much anti-radical feminism in all its forms. That includes TERFs, T"I"RFs, SWERFs, people who are "kink-critical", and anyone in the "masculinity is bad and dangerous and evil" club. You aren't welcome here!
My inbox is closed and will probably remain so forever, sorry not sorry! I don't reblog callouts ever and I do my absolute damnedest to stay out of drama but if you're an ass to me, I'll call you out on it.
I have had this blog for years. Many of my older posts are worded poorly or are things I no longer believe or fully agree with, especially as I've grown out of reactionary and extreme radicalist mindsets. Please keep that in mind when exploring this blog or following me after finding one of my posts in the wild.
I know what people like to claim about me and they're welcome to do so. I know who I am and what I am and strangers online don't get to make me doubt that.
Don't call me Native American or use gendered terms for me (girl, dude, ma'am, etc) please.
And as my header says, DECOLONIZATION IS NOT A METAPHOR.

Image ID: Image that has been dunked in an under water filter. Paragraph one says: Anti-transition is not a fundamental terf position, it does not define it, many terfs are in fact pro-transition. What you're pointing out is a generic anti-trans stance, not what terfism fundamentally is.
Paragraph two says: Transmasc TERFism (and other terfisms) for example, does not oppose transition at all and does not seek to force trans people to identify with their assigned sex. You're either dishonest or very ignorant about this subject, which isn't surprising from a tme.
Paragraph three says: Terfism involves creating/maintaining or reinforcing a power imbalance between cis women, transmascs, tme enbies (TMEs) and TMAs, where TMAs are the subordinate class and TMEs the dominant group, something in which TMEs are highly invested, even within trans spaces. Its is tagged with #transandrodork. Image ID End]
...
Anti-transition is a very common defining things t-rfs believe um what?
I was attacked before I was trans for being a gnc women who wanted top sugary. They wanted me to be a tit keeping cis person with she/her pronouns so fucking bad.
T-rfs who are pro surgery get more backlash than most other terfs from what I can tell bc T-rfs "believe in biology" and transitioning even as a cis person is against that shit
T-rfs are obsessed with the ideology of forcing somone to identify with their birth sex. It's seeped into nearly every argument they make. They're constantly telling us what parts they assume we have and how we are baed on those parts. That's forcing aomeone to identify with their birth sex!
T-rfs want me detraisitoned and if I don't they've told me to I'll myself enough time to know they want dead as an alternative. Those are my options: Gender traiter (even when I was cis!) or dead.
The term is
Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist
I am trans
Therfore they exclude me and anyone who come across as me.
.
Not to mention t-rfs ideology first and formost is to uphold the genders and roles of white supremacy above all else and that's why a majory of them are white
.
Edit: I saw this persons blog after. She has only rbs starting at Feb18 and has a very high chance of being a t-rfs herself attempting to sow seeds between us and transfems.
I unfortunately am seeing people unironically agree so this post stays up to fight misinformation.
But if you find the user attached to this post block and move away, she will not engage in good faith, only using peoples need to be reactionary to coax in fighting.
Stay away and stay safe, and know that t-rfs will never win!
