Eyes narrow a little thoughtfully, though they keep that smile plastered to their lips as they sit up a little straighter. They straighten their jacket next, shifting a little in their seat--perhaps uncomfortable with the topic of conversation being turned on em.

"Why do you ask? And keep asking?" There is no hostility or frustration in eir words, merely curiosity and mild confusion, perhaps even a bit of worry. Did e seem unhappy?
