No one will want to be authentic around someone who has a history of constant eye rolling, sarcastic gripes, and calling them out in public.”

It has always really rubbed me the wrong way how people wave away any harm Louis has done to Armand over the course of their relationship because Armand is older and stronger than him. To be clear im not arguing that their relationship can or should be viewed as "Louis is the abuser and Armand is the victim" but people act like Armand cannot ever be on the receiving end of any mistreatment from Louis just bc hes stronger than him. Like essentially your argument is that nobody can ever be abused by someone who they could take in a fight. Which is crazy. Thats the most surface level shallow understanding of the dynamics of abuse ever and yet i see it EVERYWHERE in this fandom. "Armand is 500 years old! He can fly!" Yeah and lifting weights famously makes you immune to domestic violence. Abuse, whether physically violent or not, is largely psychological. It's almost never going to be a matter of the abuser just being physically stronger than the victim. The end conclusion of this logic is that everything fucked up Louis ever did to Armand is Armand's fault, actually, because he should have just vampire powered his way out of the situation, which is literally textbook victim blaming. Can we please have a teensy bit of critical thinking here.

Rated E CW/TW: angst. This chapter in particular has some big feels - make sure you're ready for it or read it with Ch 16.

Summary:  A post-S2, double reverse omens angst-ridden love story. Crowley and Aziraphale are torn apart after saving the world (again) and each find themselves with a most unlikely companion. But maybe it was the one person they needed to help them heal?

Excerpt: There was a flash in the sky, to the east of them.

“What was that?” Crowley asked.

Kofer shrugged, refusing to be distracted from his attempt to count all of Crowley’s freckles. “Shooting star?”

Crowley sat up, alarmed. “I didn’t make any meteors.” He lifted his face to the wind. It was faint, but he’d know the scent anywhere. Suddenly, all he could hear was the blood pounding in his ears. “Do you smell that?”

Kofer frowned. He didn’t know what it was, but Crowley was right. There was something different in the air, something overly sweet but somehow alluring, something he hadn’t smelled for a long time.

[Trauma survivors] want to return to that feeling of innocence and safety, that feeling of naivete, before they learned just how cruel and senseless this world could be.

Trauma survivors, often, also want to shed that old world like dead skin, to reject it and move on from it, to create for themselves some brand new life, some thoroughly new world completely divorced from the one they previously knew. 

They can't.

It is only in that in-between space, between the world that was lost and the dream of a world created wholly anew, that trauma survivors can come to accept their feelings of grief.

Someone on twitter said it best: The title should actually be "How NOT to show support for SA victims that don't fit your desired demographic."

"His character is reinforcing negative gay stereotypes" and it's a hypersexual gay man who died in the 30s struggling with addiction and drug abuse to get through his life of exploitation, repression, trafficking and ipv doused with fake glitter and glam so no one can see beneath the cracked surface of his tortured soul.

"I don't think I've ever come across a character so poorly represented yet so greatly praised by the general audience" Because Angel isn't "representation", but an actual character with his own unique struggles and issues and responses that thousands of people (inclusing myself) can deeply relate to and if not "relate" then sympathise with. He isn't "SA rep". He isn't "Gay rep". He's Angel Dust. He's a person, and a broken one at that. If you don't relate to him the way so, so many others do, then maybe it's not for you. I already hate you 💀

But still, FOR SOME REASON with certain people (like in this case, Scratch) it seems that INDEED he remembers them and let's say that this brings confusion to Diva: it is assumed that he does not remember them but if so, why does he act like that with them? (if you wonder, with Scratch he is VERY hostile with him)
