But, it’s meant to!

a first date with geto suguru

a/n: this is purely for @lehguru happy valentine’s day bby!! i know i am a day late shhhhhhhhh

warnings: kinda out of character geto becuz he’s like…. not a mass murderer, very fluff i have no regrets

Geto is definitely the kinda guy who initiates. He asks you out, he wants to plan the date, and he wants to keep it a surprise unless you’re uncomfortable with it. He’s confident, which can be a little intimidating, but he does his best to be kind and sweet. He’s… not the best at it. He pushes himself out of his comfort zone to be romantic for you!

A first date with Geto would be a bit out-of-the-ordinary. He doesn’t have super conventional taste, and honestly, good for him! I have a few ideas of how he’d go about a first date, so I’ll walk through ALL OF THEM:

Geto’s a soft bitch deep down and would LOVE a picnic date. He’d pretend it’s all for you and he’s going so out of his way to set this up, but he’d pick out a park with cherry blossom trees in the spring, at peak bloom, he’d make little sandwiches and spend all morning making baked goods and bring lots of whatever you like best. A bottle of his favorite wine that he wants you to try, the fluffiest blanket he can find, he’s gonna go all out. He’d keep it a surprise, then pick you up around noon and take you there. After you’re done eating he’d take you on a walk around the park. He’d let you feed the ducks if you want, and he’d sit there rolling his eyes whenever you look at him, but staring at you adoringly whenever you’re looking away. Maybe he’d even give you a little smooch 😳

Again, he’ll pretend this is all for you, but Geto might take you shopping for a first date! He’d find a couple little stores ahead of time that he wants to take you, and he’d insist on paying for anything you want. He’d take you to lunch or dinner during it, and he wouldn’t admit it, but he’d be a little shy and flustered watching you have fun in stores and trying on anything that catches your eye. This is more of a date about you, but you’d definitely both have a lot of fun!

My last thought of a first date with Geto is a bit more intimate: a date at home. Geto might be a bit of a wet cat person, but he’s a self-sufficient wet cat! He’d cook a fancy dinner and have you over for a more quiet evening. He’d be a total gentleman about it, pick you up and drive you there, have everything ready for you. And where some people would use you being in their house as an opportunity, Geto would be very caring, making sure you’re always comfortable. You’d eat together and then settle in to watch a show or a movie, and he keeps a respectful distance from you (but he won’t protest if you move closer!). If you fall asleep he’d let you rest for a bit, before gently waking you up and driving you home.

Geto’s a bit standoffish, but deep down he’s a kind and sweet guy, and he’d treat you right!
