Shang Qinghua adopts Shen Yuan AU

I have read at least one fic where Shen Yuan is Shang Qinghua's biological son, but let's change things up

In this AU, the system just spits out a baby in front of Shang Qinghua and it's like: new mission, raise baby. Shang Qinghua is like 'wtf is this', and the system reveals it's Peerless Cucumber. Shang Qinghua is 100% on board because that's his fave anti, but he's also freaking out because he knows nothing about raising a child, and going by experience of being transmigrated into a baby, he knows it will take a while before Peerless Cucumber becomes aware of himself

So Shang Qinghua quickly buys a bunch of baby stuff and spends the entire day reading up on child raising with lil PC in his arms (after asking, the system reveals his name was Shen Yuan, so in this world he decides to call him Shang Yuan for the time being).

I'm not sure where I would take this fic after this (I'm not planning on writing this anyway), but I imagine the rest of the fic is SQH being a nervous dad, SY being a shitty son at first knowing his dad is Airplane, but growing to appreciate him, and of course a lot of shenanigans involving the other Peak Lords and Mobei-Jun

wrt the male loneliness epidemic bs i think it's important to discuss how strongly the current western state of affairs isolates everyone. not "just" men. the thing is that men believe they are entitled to their loneliness being amended by women. and when feminism began to show that women didn't have to suffer being in that position, instead of making certain to be someone people (women included) would want to be around, already-radicalized men hated those women, and non-radicalized men became prime targets of radicalization. that's what, in praxis, it means to be a feminist man (or an ally, or a deconstructed masculinity), though: it entails giving up that which you believe is owed to you by virtue of being a man. that's why deconstructed masculinities are as much of a goal as empowered feminities and trans identities.

so, to summarize. men are lonely because everyone is. capitalism, white supremacy, misogyny and other axis of the kyriarchy are set in motion to retain status quo by punishing community and solidarity. men are not especially touched by this phenomenon. but since there is a dissonance between what they were promised by patriarchy and what they effectively access in this case their entitlement flares up, ravenous for upholding the patriarchal edict of "men must be tended to by women, in detriment of women"

there is a general loneliness epidemic. it just so happens that it impugns pre conceived promises of the patriarchy. the answer should in every case be to build community and form bonds that enable us to struggle against isolation and individualism; never to demand that another person or a collective tends to our needs in their own detriment.

i know that other vampire shows have some type of prosthetic make up to put above the actors skins so the other actor could bite without having to make direct contact with eo. i am really surprised IWTV don't use that technic. Like, is either sucking for real until you leave a bruise in your co-worker, which Jam clearly don't mind or pretending by playing with angles and potentially having saliva running down your neck or whatever they are pretending to bite.

On a side note it seems they was working with a different intimacy coordinator for season 2. The one in Season 1 was Deven MacNair and the one in Season 2 according to Jacob in the 1st video was someone called Kat (?).
