About the smau: yn starts posting videos on youtube and is trying to build a career as a filmmaker. Things are going pretty well for her and she starts getting more attention when she creates content about shows she goes to. warning: stalking, manipulation, gaslighting, isolation, prisoning, twisted love I guess, in a zombie apocalypse all rules are gone

• It took Daryl such a long time to just convince you to go on a date with him before the outbreak happened. He dressed up in the nicest clothes he could find, took you to the nicest (it was a fast dinner) restaurant, and generally tried in his best way to show his best side to you.

• What you don't know though is that he had already had his eyes on you from the first moment he saw you. He started to take simple notes about where you worked, what walks you used to do, and where you lived. All of those things are wrong but he was pretty good at hiding and not getting caught.

• So when the big day came when he proposed to you and you said yes, it was like he was walking on clouds. After all those nights outside your window and watching you, all those days he took his chances to "bump" into you, all of it was worth it. You two were getting married and you would take his last name.

• The big wedding day didn't happen though. The outbreak happened just one month before you two would get together. Daryl brought you along with him and his brother Merle. Daryl told you to stay close to him, now with such a dangerous disease, it is better if you stay close to him so he can keep you safe.

• But you wanted to be close to Atlanta. Maybe the disease would die out soon and maybe you can keep yourself close to the town. That's where you met other survivors that had started to camp outside of Atlanta.

• Daryl hated it though. These were strangers. Who knew what crazy shit people will do during an apocalypse? They could snap in their head and try to hurt you. Or get you killed.

• "Why should we talk with 'em?" Daryl had asked you one night. "Why should we trust 'em? Just because they seem nice now, doesn't mean they need to be nice later."

• Which proved his point. A man and a widow screw around in the forest like animals, and then suddenly the new sheriff in the camp chained up his brother Merle on the roof.

• "You see?" Daryl was sobbing out to you in anger. "They took Merle from me. Do you have any idea what they could do to ya? First, they take Merle, soon they'll either chain you or me on a roof to let us rot. We can't trust these people."

• After that, it didn't turn much better. He was literally next to you, walked wherever you were walking, never leaving your side. Suddenly it wasn't just Daryl who was hunting for food, you had to come along too so he knew you were in good hands.

• After the horrific events at a scientist bomb office (at least you two had a nice shower together), the group finally arrives at a farm. Well, except for losing Sophia on the road.

• You had cried, you cried with Carol that Sophia was missing. Daryl couldn't stand that a child got lost. Shit, what if it were your child missing? Now, you two hadn't discussed a lot about children, but Daryl knows if you two get children he would protect them with his life.

• When Daryl was gone most of the days, you got some space. When you stood on the porch on the farm you couldn't help but feel a bit. . . revealed? It is horrible to say it, you would never say it out loud, but it was good that Sophia disappeared. It gave you time to actually talk with the others for the first time. You got some space. You got to have your own time.

• "They aren't that bad actually," you spoke softly to Daryl. Daryl glanced over at you, he lay in the bed and had got shot by Andrea. "I hope you're kidding," Daryl grumbled. "None of these people are looking for Sophia. I am the only one who does it, even her own mother isn't looking for her. None of them is trusting each other, Lori is sleeping with two guys. Andrea shot me."

• You couldn't argue against that. It made you feel sorry for him and you saw what a big heart he has.

• But then he stopped looking for Sophia, to rest himself. But he didn't rest, oh no, this was his time to walk around and see what is actually happening on the farm with you. He didn't leave you for one second. Glaring a bit at everyone who stepped a bit closer to you two.

• "Let them talk with us for one second," you whispered to Daryl. "So olive oyl can complain about having two boyfriends? Or that Andrea is proud of a girl to cut herself? I love ya, ya got a big heart for everyone, but they aren't good for you. They're selfish town girls."

• You couldn't argue against that.

• And the farm life didn't last forever. As the barn burned up, the herd came to the farm, you had to escape. As Daryl had you on the motorcycle, he had this big encouragement to drive you two far away. But you had said you two needed to find the others. He couldn't say no to you. Not yet at least.

• Maybe his mind snapped a bit when you two were at the prison. You had jokingly stepped into a cell and closed the door behind you. Grinning at Daryl in a joking way "Never did I think we would spend time together behind locked bars."

• He had barely heard you. Barley thought clearly. But when he saw you like that. Saw you behind bars, something sweet twisted in his mind, something that gave him a pleasure to see you locked up.

• The other ones in the group didn't dare to walk near you now. Always you were near your husband Daryl who would look at them with a twisted eye, a small glare. They understood you two wanted to be alone.

• But you didn't want to be alone with your husband. He had started to give small hints that perhaps this group is more broken than ever, perhaps it is time for you two to leave. But you didn't want that.

• Daryl doesn't sleep one night as he looks at you while you're sleeping. He remembers the old days before the breakout. How he watched you through your window, how he followed you through the park so you could "bump" into him. How he followed you to the work. All of that stuff was wrong. . . in the old world.

• Daryl blinks a couple of times and looks around in the cell you two were in. If you were locked up. . . no one would get you. And he could take care of you. Make sure no one ever gets close to you. Oh, how he hated some of your old friends, especially some of the men who were your friends. Too close to you in his opinion. But, it is new times. In the old world it would be seen as wrong, but in this new world? Well, who would stop him?

• He slowly gets up from the bed you're sharing. He walks out of the cell and quietly closes it. And then he stands there for a good while. Admiring how you are in a cage. His cage. There no one was allowed into, except him.

• His eyes twist a little bit when he watches you sleep inside the cell. He knows if he had done this in bright daylight, you would ask for help from the others. Oh, he has to be clever now. He has to take you away from here. He has to find his own little cage where no one has an impact on you, except him.

• So that day, that day when the Governor comes to the prison and blows it up and everyone got split, he couldn't be more grateful. He grabbed you and ran.

• Because now he had his chance to actually be with his wife alone, forever.

Sandra as Tatum/Casey cus one I love when she gets to play a couple with Max (even tho Stu and Tatum are…complex) but also Sandra is that bitch. She’s the opening song. She’s Torn which is one of the best numbers. Her constant looks at the audience are kinda perfect

Dennis as Dewey. Chris isn’t sure either. It just happened. He’s kinda cute in some scenes. He freaks the fuck out during Iris and is the most deer in the headlights looking man- also Gale has his lines written in a book prop she keeps showing him

speaking of Gale- Annie as Gale!!! She would be so perfect- I love Gale, both times I saw it I got to do the book signing interaction with her and literally a core memory but anyway Annie’s confidence and sass would be perfect and she’d look damn good in the costume.

Jonathan as Randy- he’s kinda Randy like in universe and I can’t explain it- but I think he’d do well in that narrator role and I think there’s something funny about how often Randy handles that door. Jonathan is not gonna have fun with that

also Himbry/the other cop/various as Robert- this is because the Himbry improv bit scares the hell out of me every time and Robert would kill that- also I like to think Chris casts him as that spitefully cus you KNOW Robert thinks he should be Billy (even tho there aren’t really like main roles because Scream’d is such a group show but anyway Robert wouldn’t really be here for that)

and last but obv not least our final girl Sidney- I think Nessa would be a good Sidney, I think she’s got that final girl quality to her- I think some of the more confident bits she might struggle with but I’d love to see like her finding confidence through it aaaa I’d die

(Bonus Trevor content- they have him run on as ghostface a couple times and he actually loves it but will NEVER admit it. barty and pandora dated briefly when he first joined their friend group. and then barty dated reg. and he ends up with evan at some point. which is somehow hilarious to me bc he saw this lil group of freaks and he was like . yeah i'm fucking all of them . AND HE DID

james gets in a physical fight with one of reg's bfs (rabastan) and actually sends him to the hospital

mary never forgives james about the emma thing, so their friendship remains tense and . kinda bitter . after he and emma break up

effie and monty absolutely adore reg as a person but . they don't like him for james bc they don't like the kind of person james turns into when he's with reg (this changes with time obviously and this is not all on reg, james is half to blame at the very least but that's their son etc)

everyone at reg's school think he's dating james (mostly during his last 2 years) and he never corrects them

despite barty being the person james hates the most . his least fav of reg's bfs is benjy simply bc he's actually a nice guy and really good for reg (it also doesn't help that sirius loooooves him)

reg makes a habit of picking up james' phone when they're hanging out and james' current gf calls and being . as ambiguous about what they're doing as possible on purpose

james catches him at some point but finds it soooo funny and sooooo endearing that he allows it. kinda encourages it even

james mentions in part 2 of nothing happens that he doesn't think sirius knows about he and reg sharing a bed so often bc he'd confront him about it but sirius Does Know bc he has seen them a couple of times when he has a nightmare and goes to look for his brother

he's not a fan. hates it even. but he'd never tell reg how or where to seek comfort so he's never mentioned it and simply pretends it's not a Thing at all

evan's always been Team James simply bc he was jealous when reg and barty dated and secretly wanted them to break up so bad

pandora however................. she stops being james' fan at some point in the story and even after they figure their shit out . her friendship with him is never the same

when it comes to james' friends, i'm pretty sure the only ones rooting for reg are lily and peter. like.. not even sirius and that's literally his brother lmao

james and reg's relationship stays mostly platonic at all times (except they never actually act like friends but u get what i mean) but when either or both of them are dating someone . the jealousy and possessiveness jump out and suddenly they're making out + fucking any chance they get

reg shows off all the hickeys james leaves when james is dating someone, but does his best to cover them when james is single (or he is dating someone)

james never hides the marks reg leaves tho.. mostly bc he isn't self-aware about the cheating and he's never ashamed of what he and reg do

HAPPY 8 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SANDERS SIDESS!!

I wish I could do more for this anniversary celebration but I have to go somewhere today and probably won’t have time to draw anything special. However, this is what I have time for since sanders sides was literally one half of my childhood and I recently got back into the hyperfixation of it. I love each of these characters to death and I’ll explain each of them in detail during this post <3

Logan: He is the best “teacher” ever! I wish he got more love from the other Sides, but the fandom definitely makes up for it. He’s a sucker for Crofters, got me into that jame btw, and he helped me learn a lot of new things! During one of my classes a teacher asked if anyone knew what a “Yerkes-Dodson Curve” was and let me tell you how I raised my hand so fast…. LOGAN MY BOI WE ALL LOVE YOU😭😭

Roman: The Man, the Prince, the Legend. He is so flamboyant I love him for that. He is the embodiment of “drama queen” and he definitely deserves that title. I loved this man to D E A T H since day one. I feel like half of me is literally his personality, and since I’m also insecure it checks out pretty well! If I was forced to only draw one Side for the REST of my life, it would be Roman in a heartbeat.

Patton: HES THE BIGGEST PUFFBALL WEVE GOT IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD AND EVERY CAN AGREE HES AMAZING AND OMFG HES SO ADORABLE AND EVERY BAD THING THAT HAPPENED TO HIM THAT HE COULDNT CONTROL SHOULDNT HAVE HAPPENED AND I ONLY WISH THE BEST FOR HIM AND HE DESERVES ALL THE COOKIES IN THE WORLD OMGGGGGGGGG- Ahem, aside all that… I do love Patton! Virgil: He’s a fan favorite, which is understandable. A ton of people deal with anxiety, and a lot of people love the color purple. I.. am in that group but in a slightly insane level- Not the anxiety part that’s being dealt with, but the P U R P L E. He’s my favorite BECAUSE he’s purple. When he was just black I didn’t really like him THAT much, but I saw the appeal. Once he got the purple tho, I LOVED THAT MAN. He really is a big fan favorite and I understand why. Plus he’s a silly little emo gay, who doesn’t like that?

Janus: MY SASSY BOII!!! We love to see him! We all know he loves wine, we all know he definitely needs some validation, and our boy deserves a hug. We love him, and as the saying goes “She is beauty, she is grace, she will lie right to your face.” And he is also the embodiment of…. “Girlboss, gatekeep, gaslight <3” And all of this is the truth, which is definitely gonna mess with him a lil bit :3

Remus: How do you describe your love of a character without it getting to redundant? I love this fucking trashy rat man to death and nothing will change my god damn mind. I've been thinking and I think I actually figured out a pretty simple way to fix the issue's with Creek's writing in the first movie just don't have him be the one who they spend the later half of the movie trying to save.

So I've been thinking about the first movie some more recently ( since it is still my favourite of the bunch ) And I had a thought in regards to the one thing about the film that's always bugged me aka the way the movie's writing screws over Creek and unfairly villainises him

Despite putting him in a much more dire situation than any other Troll in the movie

and well I was thinking there is actually a pretty simple way I feel they could have fixed this so the movie could still have its little surprise villain twist but make the writing less unfair

and make Creek a lot easier to judge and that is that they just shouldn't have had him be the member of the snack pack that the gang spends the second half of the movie trying to save

That's it its pretty simple I feel like I should have thought of this idea ages ago tbh 😂😂

But yeah just switch the movie around only a tiny bit and have it be another member of the snack pack who gets snatched from the cage early on

Tho since in the original the only reason they didn't go through with eating Creek was due to him agreeing to betray the village we'd have to change that detail slightly

to maybe just have it that Gristle was going to eat them but decided against it thinking he should wait until they have enough Trolls for all of his people to have one as well before he gets to eat one.

and the movie could play out pretty much the same Branch and Poppy go to save the snack pack in Bridget's room only this time Creek is with them

and the member of the group they need to stick around to save is maybe Guy Diamond? or Smidge? who it is doesn't actually matter tbh main point is that isn't Creek

so the movie's events play out the same the gang finds out their friend is being kept in Gristle's locket they try to save them but all get captured by Chef

but while they are all in the cage Creek does his big heel turn and betrays everyone offering to sell out the village for his own life and taking Poppy's Cowbell

The big important change here is that 1. Creek wouldn't have literally been through worse than any other Troll and basically tortured into submission ( The guy was literally kept in an a dark hole less tiny locket for hours on end )

and 2. it makes it so Creek's character actually had other choices in the film in this case he could have just stood by his friends who were in the same situation as him

and had faith that if they stuck together they could have figured a way out of their situation and if he had his faith would have been rewarded

as he along with the rest of his friends would have been set free by Bridget just before the Trollstice began and thus would have gotten to live

so him choosing to ditch his friends in a bad situation and also land everyone else in the village in trouble to save his own life when he had other ways to survive

would have made him a lot easier to judge imo

I feel like this is the way the movie wants him to be viewed and the way a lot of fans seem to view him but like I said I'm sorry but the writing messed this up big time

by having him go through so much horrible crap that no other Troll goes through and by having him be stripped of the same options that the other Trolls had

aka his friends were all given the option of waiting for rescue in their cages none of them were ever put in the same position of immediate certain death like Creek was

also this way we could actually foreshadow his more selfish nature a little earlier on through some more interactions with Branch and Poppy

as after Poppy and Branch rescue him and the rest of the snack pack from the cage in Bridget's room early on

he could be the only one who is openly trying to suggest the group all leave Bergentown and thus leave the member of their group whose still being kept in Gristle's locket to their gruesome fate

Only for Poppy to give her usual enthusiastic hopeful little speech of no troll left behind which excitedly inspires all her friends and its sorta clear Creek only goes along with it because

everyone else is and he doesn't want to be seen as the only person unwilling to try and save them.

so this way Creek could actually work better as a twist villain imo as it would come about after having a few more interactions such as this with Poppy and Branch

where he becomes more and more distanced from his group of friends with his true nature coming out in more and more little ways

maybe during Branch's backstory reveal Creek is the only one who doesn't rush to comfort him

and instead is shown being visibly perplexed at his friends all acting supportive and chummy with the village weirdo who he openly still looks down on despite him helping save his life

so when Creek does finally betray them it isn't just a sudden personality change like it is in the finished film and instead is the natural end point

of a load of small things from Creek that have been building on each other throughout the film gradually showing him in a worse and worse light

until eventually he makes the ultimate selfish move and shows how little faith he has in his friends.

making him an actual selfish hateable selfish villain rather than the movie and the fandom's punchbag who basically gets tortured a bunch and told he deserved to gruesomely die

for making one passive aggressive remark to someone who was openly rude to him and his friends on no doubt countless occasions lol.

Okay so I decided to continue the manga (BNHA) a few days ago. I still have a long way to go to lol. I mean, I've only read a couple of chapters at most. But yesterday I've accidentally come across the scene where Midoriya loses his quirk and Bakugo gives an emotional speech. So apparently Bakugo kinda develops a hero worship for Midoriya? I was like, yeah I knew Bakugo would have a redemption arc but I didn't expect this to happen. So I was surprised. Like, what happened? Bakugo belittling Midoriya for multiple chapters straight turned into some kind of a fan of Midoriya?

Oh really? You think he is a Midoriya fan?

Im guessing you left it during one of the beginning arcs, so you have a loooong ride to see his development and how natural it feels actually.

But if you want a more straight up explanation, the author changed his mind about his role in Izuku's life -at first he was going to be his opposing rival, out of his life and as a challenging source, someone Deku needs to beat to get into the top, without giving him any support, but he realized his better side would end up coming out, and now... He's really important and a part of the "people who support Izuku" group, lets say.

Spoilers without details under cut -I say big things that happened. Literally say them, I mean.

Katsuki: What? Am I a Midoriya fan? *looks to the sides* *process to constantly think about him, sacrifice himself for him making Deku lose control even tho others already got hurt, keep their rivalry going on as it motivates him and is his perfect reason to keep being in his life, is responsible for his past actions and apologizes after leading everyone to him when he run away bc it was too much to handle him and the others to get hurt, goes out of his way to hold him before anyone else when he falls, helps him train to achieve his goals, goes into a war in his team, when izuku is taken from that part of the battle he keeps trying to fight, gets targeted as izuku's closer person not friend, tries to win while talking to him even tho he is not there, dies while thinking about catching up to him while crying, has the All Might card they got together as kids in his pocket, sees Aura Might, his corpse makes Izuku lose control again, revives himself in the most dramatic way possible and makes eye contact even tho they are km away and the rain stops, has a Mary Jane coded cover with Deku, goes out of his way to get to him even ho he just revived, fights doctors and others multiple times to get to him, is the first and last person to make Izuku smile after the war along with All Might, cries over not being able to be by Izuku's heels for the rest of their lives, worries more about him losing his quirk than about him losing half of his + not being able to recover his arm*.

I... I was writing a post about (the nonexistence of) mirror Jake and was thus pondering many aspects of the mirrorverse and I... I think I cracked it. And it's fucking me up. I think I know what the difference between prime and mirror is and it provides more questions than answers.

There is one glaring constant throughout (almost! we'll get to that) all official media (canon or not) that so much as goes near the mirror universe and it's actually the absence of a, well, ...species? that you don't even notice being absent at first but once you do, it's blatant and you can't unsee it.

There are no Q in the mirrorverse. When looking into possible explanations, I actually stumbled upon a highly intriguing fan theory that postulates that the mirrorverse is a control group created by the continuum (which would explain the consistent family lines and stuff SO well!) to see how humanity would fare without their intervention. This is an awesome theory (that also mashes with stuff said in Pic about how there's only one continuum across the multiverse) and I love it but I do actually have another one I'd like to propose.

The one singular reference to a mention of any Q in the mirrorverse that I could find is this short memory beta page on a Q from the mirrorverse (presumably the mirror version of our(/JLP's) Q) having been banished by Terrans "to a prison outside the known dimensions" which, not to speculate, could be interpreted as the prime universe?? (which would mean the mirrorverse is the actual "prime" universe and the Q (or at least our Q) are only in the prime universe as a means of punishment by the Terrans which would also explain why they don't seem to mess with Kelvin timeline (at least not in alpha canon) or anything else outside prime despite Pic saying they could) but regardless has very "god is dead and we have killed him" vibes that I dig. The singular source for this is the 2005 RPG source book Through a Glass, Darkly (belonging to the Decipher iteration of the Star Trek Roleplaying Game) which is specifically set in the mirror universe and, ngl, I kinda wanna play now.

So even tho Pic either states or implies (afaik it's technically said in reference to the Kelvin timeline or something (but you couldn't fucking pay me to watch enough Pic to check) but not specifically about the mirrorverse) that the Q exist in all realities and can jump between them as they wish, and even tho Through a Glass, Darkly is not even remotely canon, especially in comparison to Pic, I want to believe. The mirrorverse is Like That because the humans banished god.

(Also tho, regardless of which (if either) theory is correct, this does imply that not only have the Q not just "observed" humans but their influence on human history has been extremely positive and literally lead to stuff like the Federation even existing?? There are so many implications to the absence of the Q in the mirrorverse, I can't cope with this...)

Me ghink theres lot of hate towards tang sanzang some of which IS UNDERSTANDABLE

But alot of it goes too far and say the most rancid shit ever all bc hes book character. Mind ya hes based on actual person and is being use his likeness. Like some lmk fans be saying the worse thing ever towards this guy(for example wanting him get the d*ath penalty n amongst others).

We forgetting that yes some of his treatment towards swk IS horrible but we tends to forget swk had done some atrocious things that sanzang was witness to in full view. No human would journey like that without being completely scar and traumatized. Some of my friends while looking through the book had found that sanzang be using the circlet all in one go and then never used it in years.

His character development does happen yall in where he do trust his companion more and then *insert traumatizing moment* happen. I do think wukong didnt deserves the maltreatment tho(i want to say this bc later i get ppl saying that i support ab*se bc i defend sanzang for a bit, not knowing that i also disagreed w some his actions)

Most ppl forget that the first arc that the gang actually face as a group was the gingseng tree arc, not white bone spirit.that u have him defending wukong and countless other times where he do trust swk judgement in some cases. (i just wanted to get it out there since not many ppl realize it n im fully blaming osp for this bc they are skipping arcs. N they don’t really tell what arcs they’re skipping)

This just me rambling but dam all these ppl need therapy.

THEY'RE SAYING WHAT NOW ANON AAAAAAAAAAA but haha wow on a lighter note that is kind of funny that the fandom which routinely portrays the Six-Eared "I am going to try to murder-replace you for completely selfish reasons / repeatedly try to kill a young mortal that you love" Macaque as a monkey who never did anything wrong ever would then go out its way to demonize Tang "I do lash out & often don't trust my senior disciple but have also been threatened with death for fourteen years" Sanzang. Like geez I've seen many another fandom where the assumption is that for one character to be good/be "redeemed" you need to make another character horrible (tbh I'm starting to suspect that that's what's happening with the lego show version of Sun Wukong & the Six-Eared Macaque), but wild if true that some lmk fans would go THAT far in the attempt to paint the monk as a guy so awful that he literally deserves the death penalty.

Now to be fair it does need to be noted that even in Wu Cheng'en's classic (or at least from what I've seen in the Anthony C. Yu translation), Tang Sanzang was in many ways intentionally written as a caricature of a fussy Confucian scholar who may have memorized many doctrines but who doesn't really understand them, and who is often made a figure of fun for falling off his horse, and who does use the headband against Sun Wukong is some very explicitly painful and unjust scenes. In at least the book he's also a much more static character than the Monkey King in that we don't see any real changes in his thoughts or behavior over the course of the journey, which I can see as a something that would sour many against him. THAT SAID, you are very correct anon in noting that besides one traumatizing event after another happening to him, from his mother's suicide to constantly being threatened with death and/or rape at the hands of many yaoguai, this monk does have a number of reasons for why he's constantly crying and acting with hatred and suspicion towards the Monkey King. And let's not forget that one of the things SWK told Tang Sanzang early on in the journey was that he had literally killed so many he couldn't remember them all, and that was right before he tried to kill the monk himself! Point being that yes both Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong are extremely flawed individuals who often clashed with each other in some pretty upsetting ways, but there's also many understandable reasons for why they act the way they do. It's a real disservice to their characters and the underlying implications of the journey (or its retellings tbh) to forget or ignore that! *

*(and on THAT note this is another reason why it's kind of frustrating that the Overly Sarcastic Production & Monkie Kid retellings of Xiyouji seem to be the primary ways that western audiences are understanding the journey. Liking explicitly cartoony retellings is one thing. But then basing all your knowledge of the work on these retellings and/or even outright refusing to understand the classic in any other context makes for some really simplified and even really insulting beliefs about a culturally important work as a whole)

It really gets me how you can't say shit about Helluva Boss (or Hazbin Hotel for that matter) to actually critique without fans getting buthurt, and the only people agreeing with you people who just hate Vivzipop (for the record i dont lol). But here are my gripes that I wish people were actually talking about (btw I really *want* to love Helluva Boss and none of this is mean-spirited, just things I've noticed that I wish the team would fix, or I believe are beyond fixing):

1. The very confused tone. I know a lot of people deflect any criticism from the show by saying 'oh but it's a comedy you shouldn't take it too seriously'. Here's the thing- it's literally taking itself too seriously. There's a balance that a show can have between dark elements and humor, but Helluva Boss consistently tries to tackle very, VERY heavy subjects. This combined with the Brandon Rodgers-essque d!ck joke comedy doesn't.. work. At least not in the way they're attempting. I think the most egregious example of this is the scene in the latest episode when Moxie's dad is literally threatening to kill him if he doesn't follow through with an arranged marriage... immeadiatly followed by Moxie walking though a hall of wall d!ldos. It kind of says, 'hey, we were taking this really seriously 2 seconds ago, but jk actually now you should laugh!'

Juxtaposition doesn't work if it actively confuses its audience on what to feel. I'm not sure how much influence Vivzie and Brandon have on the outcome of the show vs the rest of the writing team, but it seems like Brandon's humor and Vivzie's tendency to write melodramatic soap opera scenes just aren't really meshing together quite right. I wish it had more similar pacing and tone shifts that HH had, because it felt more sudden in a purposeful way, rather than 'we're too lazy to find a good transition between these two scenes.'

2. Why does Vivziepop never write interesting female characters? I know this is talked about a bit more, but it's growing increasingly prevalent in Helluva Boss. We still haven't gotten an episode focused on any of the female leads that's actually about *them*.

Millie is practically nonexistent without her relationship to Moxie. Even the episode where we meet her family, it doesn't give us any insight about her. Every time she goes feral(tm) it's either to save her husband or it's part of a group fight. The only backstory we got for Loona was there to service Blitzo's character, and show us *his* reaction. The only things we've seen with Octavia were put there to help us learn more about Stolas. Even in the scene where they only had Loona and Octavia on the screen, it didn't feel like it was about them at all. It didn't feel like the scene existed to show us them bonding about their shitty dads. It felt like the scene was there to once again ask the audience to give Blitzo and Stolas pity points. Which- brings me to my next problem.

3. Its justifications of abuse. I know they're in hell. Most of them should be shitty people, and they are! But I wish the story would stop trying to pretend they're not. Helluva Boss keeps doing this thing where it draws a line between 'good' abuse and 'bad' abuse. And this kind of completely changed Stolas and Blitzo's relationship. Ik some people may like this change but I personally don't.

Earlier on, we were made to believe Stolas kind of fucked up by cheating on his wife. Not only did this affect Stella (tho ofc we later learn it's due to image reasons) but his daughter as well. It's just generally an uncomfortable and tricky situation. And I liked it! It was interesting and had levels of nuance. However, now that we know that he was basically being abused by Stella this entire time, and met Blitzo when they were kids (which is a WHOLE OTHER UNCOMFORTABLE CAN OF WORMS LMAO) the audience no longer feels like Stolas did anything wrong. Now his actions feel justified.

As much as I loved his confrontational scene with Stella the first time I watched it, as I know many people did, I also know that it kind of ruined any sense of nuance that whole situation had. Now, Stolas suddenly has been absolved from any previously implied mistakes. And, Stella is portrayed as this 1 dimensional cruel monster.

Which brings me to the point of abuse in this show. It's a very prevalent theme, and it's a heavy one for a show branded as a sit-com to portray (hard, but not impossible). But it fails on the end that it doesn't stay consistent in its condemnation of it. Every time a character does something 'bad', as soon as we find out there is a reason for this bad behavior, the show suddenly makes it seem like we should feel bad for them and that their actions are justified because they're a broken person. See: the narrative around Stolas' affair suddenly being changed as soon as we find out he was being abused by Stella.

Inconsistent emotional consequences in writing is lazy for sure. But the real problem is when it gets to the abuse side of things, it can actually become harmful. It's implied that Blitzo had an emotionally abusive relationship with Verosika. But ohh we know he had a fucked up childhood and has fear of forming emotional bonds so! Geuss it's okay! But when it comes to Stella, she's just downright mean, 1 dimensional, and literally says she's doing things for no reason other than to make Stolas suffer.

It's important to note that every single time a character gets a *reason* for their assholery, it becomes a *justification* in the way the show frames it. But whenever a character doesn't have a reason for being as asshole, like Stella (at least not one that's shown), that's where the show then draws the line.

This is harmful! Hate to break it to you but the bulk of abusive people out there were abused themselves. They have multitudes of reasons for why they are the way they are. But that doesn't excuse their actions! And I really hate that this is the standard of framing Helluva Boss has set up for their show because now, no matter how bad a character's actions are, they can slap on a sad backstory and suddenly make that character a sympathetic one.

Yeah but anyways idk. If you read all of that I thank you for taking ur time to listen to my 2 cents. The last episode I really enjoyed was the Ozzie's one and I'm just kinda bummed at a lot of this stuff I mentioned.

I thought u were big readers, u can't see this?! how fucking sad!!

u can tell this story of lestat being abusive as a white man to his black partner (and black child) and have it be true just fine. this happens irl all the fucking time. if it was rly that fucked up, there'd be no black ppl in the fandom. this group is so fucking antiblack, they not only shove the characters aside to center the white guy and excuse his abuse six different ways, they bully black fans and make sure nobody gets to hear any black opinions that aren't those voices who only center and protect whiteness.

anyways, lestat can do all of this and still come back around to healing with louis. it's only "bad writing" to ppl who have never emotionally matured. which would be everyone who has to go this hard defending white ppl instead of just saying this is all happening because this was racially conscious casting. this story is focused on race. these are real issues in interracial relationships, even now. it's patriarchy. it's slavery. it's blurring lines on purpose. It's not "some cheap Lifetime movie plot" u ignorant fucking bitch.

believe it or not he is a horrible driver. He insists he's a great driver but the other losers refuse to ride with him. He doesn't get it. It's not like he's hit multiple curbs and gets massive road rage

he is constantly cold, over half the sweaters in the house belong to him and he's always under the blanket when watching tv. His cuddles are rare but during winter with no hesitation he will snuggle up under the human space heaters (Richie, Ben, and Mike)
