(I took a gamble and it went wrong. Partly because the low-Charisma characters tried to help in a tense negotiation, but you know what? Zhalien probably miscalculated. If she lives she'll accept the blame. Anyway, a lot of us died, partly because of bad tactical decisions previously. Now we have several resurrection rituals to perform, and limited time before returning to battle. Oh, yeah, Zhalien was dying and mentioned her son for the first time.)
Bard: We should resurrect Zhalien next.
Me (OOC): Oh, I'm fine if Zhalien dies, I have Ava (backup).
Barbarian (OOC): I'm not fine if she dies.
Bard (OOC): Me neither! Now I know she has a son!
#heartwarming moment amidst the banter#we did lose our swords bard for good but on the whole it could have been way worse#and of course we might all die again next week#depending on how badly things go#I might have Zhalien pour all her remaining spell slots into healing and buff for the others#and sacrifice herself to give them a better chance#well she'd still have cantrips but no healing for herself

synopsis. you're still not coping well with the loss of your sibling. who better than to take your grief out on than your girlfriend who's at fault?
pairing: lottie matthews x gn!reader
genre: ANGST ANGST ANGST.
wc: 990
fic note. you're just replacing travis basically. just wanted lottie angst.
· · 𐂂 · ·
your heart feels numb as you lead lottie to the covered pit trap you started making a few days ago out of boredom, the dozens of stakes you carved over and over for your sibling's grave finally having a use.
you don't know when you decided that you're gonna kill your girlfriend. maybe it was when she took the opportunity to leave this place away from you. maybe it was when she held you back as the girls chased your younger sibling after they pulled the queen card, telling you that the Wilderness chose them for Its sacrifice and there was nothing you could do about it. maybe it was all the times you'd sneak away from sleeping with her and go to the place where you hid their bones, talking to them about how sorry you are.
you think it was after she curbed your chance at rescue that made you so angry at her. you finally had the opportunity to go home, to get away from this place and the reminder of your sibling that pains you every day. but lottie's also a reminder.
and while staring into the pit one night, you saw a vision of her bloody body at the bottom and felt all the stress and guilt leave your body.
in some twisted way, you think that maybe if lottie's gone, you can finally breathe. you don't know. all you know is that something is telling you that this is right, even despite the feeling in your stomach telling you that this is wrong.
you have to blame someone.
"what's wrong?" lottie calls from behind you, her concerned voice making you flush with unbridled anger. she steps closer to you, analyzing your blank face and clenched jaw. "tell me. you know i can help."
"can you?" you scoff bitterly, looking at her with disgust. if you were thinking clearly, you would've hated the way she sunk in on herself and made the most devastating frown. "all you do is ruin things. we could've gotten rescued, we could be home right now. how can you not understand that you're not helping?"
you look away from her sad face, guilt and anxiety eating away at your brain. you can't think correctly. all you can hear is the screams of your sibling yelling for you to help them, the feeling of lottie's hand keeping you from saving them burning your wrist like a mark you can't get rid of.
you mumble frantically to yourself, closing your eyes and tugging and scratching painfully at your hair as you try to make their screams stop. "i can't let you keep doing this... i can't. i can't."
"i'm sorry." her voice breaks you out of your daze, and lottie's heart aches at your anguished face glistening with tears. "i'm sorry." she repeats, stepping closer, her hand hovering out and waiting for you to give her the okay to touch you. "i just wanted you to see that they're still here with us."
you let out a choked sound, something between a scoff and a laugh as you look at her. your hands shake as you take them out of your pockets and clench them, itching to just grab her shoulders and push her into the pit. you can't believe her. i mean, you can, you know her better than anyone else, but really, fuck this. fuck her.
"it's bullshit. you're fuckin' bullshit, lottie." you spit, walking closer and getting up in her face. "they're not with us, they're fucking 10 feet in the ground because you killed them—because you didn't let me save them." you correct yourself, stabbing your finger harshly into her chest.
"the Wilderness chose," she says calmly which pisses you off even more. "i know you're angry, but denying the Wilderness-"
you push her shoulder and shout in irritation, your fingernails finding their way back into your hair and digging harshly into your scalp until you think you feel the skin break. you blink a few times, the world around you spinning and turning into a blur as you feel all the anger and sadness you've been keeping inside finally spill out.
"it's not real!" you yell, pushing her back to where you covered the pit with twigs and leaves, holding your breath as she stumbles back and lands on her ass. you feel your throat close up when she doesn't fall in and you drop to your knees, hands clutching your ears as you sob. "it's not real....it's not real."
lottie's by your side within seconds, combating your attempts to push her off as you scream for your sibling.
"no! get away." you elbow her in the chest to try and get her off of you, but you can't help but stop resisting as she cradles you in her arms and shushes you. "i miss them, i miss them so much." you weep, hand clutching tightly onto lottie's as you let everything out.
"i know, i know." she whispers softly, her thumb swiping across your hand to comfort you. "it's okay. i know you're mad at me. I'm sorry, i love you."
you grieve into her arms until you can't shed any more tears and until your throat can't produce any more screams. you're tired, slumped into lottie's body as you breathe heavily and sniff away your snot. pain racks through your body as you try to move your neck to look at her, eyes fluttering when you notice tear stains on her cheeks.
she smiles sadly at you, her hand coming up to softly grab your chin to pull you in for a short kiss. she scratches behind your ear before moving to stand up, and you shake your head and pull her back down.
"i don't wanna leave yet. can we just...can you just hold me here for a while?" you murmur, feeling embarrassed and ashamed. but you need lottie, you know that now.

the responses i’ve seen to shiv’s ending seem very quick to write her off as just another sad victim of the cycle, which isn’t without truth BUT!!! that is not even remotely the summation of shiv’s story.
i don’t think she votes yes to “save kendall” or to try to finally set her brothers free. and i don’t think her main concern was that ken was becoming their dad. she absolutely noticed and didn’t love it, but that was not her motivation in betraying him. she was thinking about herself.

it’s tempting to make a martyr out of her as she is the only female child and we see her suffer the onslaught of misogyny that comes with that. but to make her into a saintlike figure who got beat takes away the power and intelligence behind her decision.
at this point she’s stuck between two non ideal choices, but she recognizes that they have accidentally made her the single most important player in the game. because while she can’t have the outcome she’d prefer, she has the power to decide the fates of everyone else. the written off lone woman now holds in her hands the fate of every man in her life.
so she thinks about the long term benefits of both options and realizes that one side leaves her completely without any leverage.

her brothers have proven to her multiple times in the last few days alone that they will cut her out and walk all over her the first chance they get. siding with them leaves her nothing to bargain with. she would just have to hope that ken would actually take care of her. and that level of vulnerability is not only unacceptable to her, it’s stupid. and shiv fuckin roy is not stupid.
so she thinks about the other side and about what she actually wants for her life. and against her better judgment, it’s becomes unfortunately clear that she wants tom. the way she wants him is not altogether loving or even good but it is necessary to her. she sees relationships as having winners and losers and she chose this man specifically so that she could be confident in her ability to win. except now he’s grown some balls and made himself unavailable to her.

she may not like the way her husband is evolving but she already placed her bets on him, so she’s sure as hell not losing to him now. there’s also a part of her that feels intrigued by this new man she’s married to. it’s interesting to have a sparring partner in him instead of having to looking for excitement outside of their marriage.

so for maybe the first time ever, she processes what tom has said to her and thinks about what he actually wants.

he needs her to prove that she cares. he needs to know that she is capable of sacrifice. if she can’t find it within herself to do this for him, then she will lose him, and by extension, she will lose.
siding with tom gives her the opportunity to once and for all make a grand-stand gesture of love, but more importantly, it creates leverage for her. never again will he be able to hold the moral high ground over her head. never again can he say she doesn’t love him. never again can he call her selfish or uncaring. above all, he can never betray her again, because she just removed all of his moral justification for turning on her. he doesn’t realize it yet, but she’s just taken back all the power in their relationship. just in a more subtle way than she’s used to operating.
and just like that, she has the ceo of a multi billion dollar company in her pocket, while situating herself as the only descendant of logan roy to still be playing the game, having removed her brothers from the equation permanently. she may still be far from the top but she’s creating a path for herself to climb.
so yes, she’ll let tom play king for a day, and she’ll have his baby and say “congratulations,” and play the gracious wife, but tomorrow is a new day with lots of room to maneuver. and when her husband puts out his hand, she’ll place her own on top. but she won’t grasp it because she doesn’t need to.

#🐺#shivy’s gonna be just fine#okay this ended up being a very long post but#i feel like someone needed to point out her wins#also i’m fully aware that remaining in the toxic world of the family business is not a win rly but#i think her ending is being interpreted as powerlessness#which it is NOT#she chose her spot. she’s calling shots#she may not have won today but she sure as hell didn’t lose#let’s not work so hard to sanctify her that we remove everything about her that makes her such a brilliant character#succession#shiv roy#siobhan roy#scn#tv

’I can’t stop cheating on my loving boyfriends’ simulator
Tag so dry I had to make a game to cope (ಥ_ಥ)
You're a Ticket Agent for the Astral Express. Despite the lively co-workers/customers, your life was very mundane, until one day two regulars confess their love to you.
You jump on the chance to live your own drama and accept them both. However, upon discovering their true natures, the genre shifts to one of survival as this secret could mean life or death.
What the fuck did you get yourself into?
Images containing blood and glitches below, implications of suicide
Do you know how much trouble gifs give me? Half the day was my app failing to export 💀
Backstories
Argenti’s family was poor and on the verge of being evicted, so you could understand their surprise when a stranger offered them a deal:
Join their religion in exchange for a life of comfort.
After much deliberation and little to lose they agreed. It was quickly discovered that the group was a cult who believed Argenti to be a reincarnation of Idrilla due to his beauty. For the remainder of his childhood, the child was spoiled but devoid of physical contact.
It wasn't until the first sacrifice that his parents realised what danger they were in.
The family tried to escape but were caught. Before Argenti's eyes, his parents were torn apart by the enraged cultists - accidently soaking him with 'impurity'. What followed... he couldn't remember. But since then, Idrilla has been visiting him in his sleep.
On his 15th birthday, the cult was busted by police due to members embezzling money from work. The majority were sent to prison, leaving Argenti to be adopted by a martial artist.
He completed intensive therapy and no longer thinks himself a deity; rather, unbeknownst to others, he had been searching for Idrilla.
And now, he's finally found his God - even if you insist otherwise.
Sunday thought his family was happy. Even when his Mother would enter catatonic slumps, he thought it was due to her 'illness'.
It wasn't until Robin's birth that he realised the truth; His Mother had an outburst and almost choked him to death, screaming how 'they ruined her life'. Since then, he's tried his best to please her to no avail.
His Father reassured him that she wasn't herself, yet from all the years of her smiling, Sunday could tell this was her true face. The Mother no longer pretended, even when Robin cried from neglect and her husband drowned her in luxury.
There were times he questioned if his Father, for all his good intentions, was doing anything right. When he brought this up, the man merely stated that this was love - and when you are truly taken, you should never let go.
It was a Sunday when his Mother returned to 'normal'. The family dared to believe everything was fine, and eventually, she was granted more freedom.
Freedom that took his Mother away.
Sunday still recalls what his Father told him that day as her coffin lowered into the ground. He remembers it every time you walk away from him.
No, he won't be anything like his Father. He'll be better.
Tips
Argenti: Play along with the Idrilla facade and you'll be fine. Unlike Sunday, he believes what he is doing is right, so don't waste your breath trying to reason with him. It's pretty hard to get onto his bad side unless you shatter his delusions - in which case, to him, everything is on the table.
Sunday: Interacting with him is like navigating a minefield in the dark. You never know what he's truly thinking until it's too late, however, if you lay low and pretend to be agreeable you may buy enough time to escape. Don't let it run on for too long, and keep your documents hidden.
Do not break up with them. That is quite literally the worst thing you could do. And God forbid they find out about each other.
Endings
These are just examples. More may be added later on
Mr Worldwide [Good]: Successfully change your identity and leave the country without telling anyone
I Love Democracy [Bad]: Aggravate both Sunday and Argenti so bad they become friends, join forces, and 'share' you (see Extras)
I Like Trains [Neutral]: Provoke Sunday and let him chase you on the train tracks. Get his leg stuck and watch the Astral Express run him over (This does not save you from Argenti)
Eat the Rich [Good]: Give Sunday an overdose and kill him without incriminating yourself. Meet Robin at the funeral and successfully evade her suspicion (do not get her interested in you). Get Argenti admitted to an asylum indefinitely. Profit
Godzilla or King Kong? [Good]: Instigate Sunday and Argenti's conflict without incriminating yourself and get them to kill each other
Hasta la Vista, Baby [Bad]: Tell Argenti about Sunday. Let him burn Sunday's house down with Gopher inside. Drain Sunday's money. Confess your involvement to Sunday about his demise over text. Condemn Argenti over text and push him to the brink. Wait for either of them to kill you (randomised) (see Extras)

Ì don't think a piece of media has fucked me up as much as tetro has. Like Jesus fucking christ. It's frankly horrifyingly realistic how none of the characters are recognizable. They're all broken.
Wada's regressed in every way possible. His selective mutism came back as a stress reaction. He hasn't eaten in a week. And just like into the game, he has no one. But now it's even worse, because now instead of never having them, each and every one of them slipped through his fingers. It's unlikely he'll actually be able to locate any of the other students, and before the game he was struggling to make ends meet. Now he doesn't even have a coping mechanism. Isono is gone. He'll never be able to view a streamer the same way again. His eating habits aren't going to get better when he's completely and utterly alone. He's going to starve to death. Wada Masanari died in the killing game, just like Isono, Tsuno, Watari, and Hama. And with them gone, his stumbling husk will meet their same fate.
Mai. God Mai. She fought through everything. She shouldered every burden, she made every sacrifice, she befriended every last person, and in the end, it wasn't enough. Hayashi Mai was broken. She was physically tortured, she lost any semblance of feeling safe, she lost parts of her body, and she fought through it all until the very last second. She died fighting, I doubt it was just shock, her hands were cut because she wanted to try to save herself. But in the end, Hayashi Mai lost the fight. She fell on the sword for everyone else. Hayashi Mai died in the killing game. And what's left of her body will remain in a burned down school in an underground cavern to rot.
Ojima seemingly lost nothing, but Ojima also lost everything. At first he was genuinely trying his best to be a leader for the group, almost like a second in command to sasaki at some points, but he lost his privacy and then everyone pitied him. Ojima was close with no one, but he was close with everyone. Ojima wasn't well socialized, he views every person who continues to be near him a friend, it's why he always calls people by their first names. While Ojima lost no one, Ojima lost everyone. He had what was left of his innocence defiled. He no longer felt safe within his own mind, he was scared he would hurt someone, he forced himself to stay afloat in an ocean with no bouys but a million whirlpools, and he broke. Ojima Takeshi died in the killing game just like Sasaki. And now he exists as an adult, stripped of his blissful ignorance of the world, and now way to escape the horrors he's seen.
Hiroaki. Where to even begin with Hiroaki. He was hurting when he entered the killing game, and he was hurting when he left it. He was broken, and slowly he tried to fix himself, and he was broken again by the people he hurt, and eventually he couldn't find the strength to fix himself. He's using again. He has been fairly clean for a few weeks, and now he's using again. He at least used to have his ego to fall back on, but now? Now he's nothing. He says his own name like it's an insult. He's done horrible things and hurt the people around him. Every character from Isono to Yanagi, he all hurt them somehow. And he didn't get the chance to apologize to most of them, and he has to live with the guilt that he didn't. It's honestly doubtless that Hiroakis behavior patterns are only going to get worse. He has his drug supply back, he's back with those same faux friends, and he's separated from the people he's grown to actually care about. Hiroaki Nakamigawa died in the killing game, just like Sasaki, Chiba, and Tsuno. And what's left of his facade has to continue through his old routine and go through his same habits, but with none of the artificial joy they used to provide.
Tamba is ruined. Her career is over. Her parents aren't going to give her the kind of love she's desperate for. She's looked in the mirror and seen the worst, ugliest, most horrible parts of herself. She's a coward, she's a backstabber, and she's a hypocrite. And worst of all, Tamba survived. Out of everyone who died. Isono, Sasaki, Chiba, Harada, Kamimura, Tsuno, Watari, Hama, Mai, and Hasegawa. Tamba Ruiko survived but they didn't, and she has to live with that forever. When she was cruel, when she was angry, when she bit the hands reaching out to her, and when they did everything they could to be safe. But Tamba is alive. But she isn't. Tamba Ruiko died in the killing game, just like Kamimura, Watari, and Mai. And now what's left of her broken body has to live in the shadows of their lives.
Hasegawa lost. He was a winner. He was a champion. And he lost. Everything about his life in the killing game was fundamentally unfair. He did his best to do everything right and protect the people he loved and he lost. Then he did his best to hurt the people he felt let his best friend die, and he lost. They were going to lose. He was going to win. But due to forces outside of his control, he lost. Hasegawa lost the only things keeping him steady. His meds ran out weeks ago. Kamimura died weeks ago. And now he's rotting in the med bay. He didn't have the energy to care about the people reaching out to him, and when he did get his energy back, the only thing he wanted to do was get revenge. To make them suffer the same loss he suffered, to make them understand a fraction of what it felt like. Hasegawa Ken died in the killing game the exact moment Okazaki killed Kamimura. And then with what little he had left in him, he took the blade from Okazaki's cold hands and plunged it into Hayashi.
Yanagi Shigeki became what he despises. He's nothing like who he used to be and he'll never be able to go back. One by one the layers of his facade he had built up over the years were stripped away. First he lost his faith when Sasaki killed Isono. Then he lost his dignity when he broke and hurt Nakamigawa. Then he lost his prince guise when he continued to fail time and time again to please and protect the people around him. Then, he lost Mai. He lost his knights oath. The one thing he has left was that he had Mai, he had her and he was loyal to her and he was at her service and he was going to hold onto her and die before he let go. But he was forced to. He was locked in a room with all his failures as the one flicker success he had was snuffed out. And now, he's angry. He's angry and upset and he's violent. He's exactly what he despises, a violent man who scares people. He feels deserving of death, because those kind of men are deserving of death. Yanagi Shigeki died in the killing game just like Sasaki, Tsuno, Watari, and Mai. And now, all that's left of him is everything he despises, and with nothing but hatred in his heart, he's forced to return to the people who would fear him most
This wasn't a happy ending. It was never going to be a happy ending. They're alive. The five of them are alive, but they're all dead. Everything that made them *them* when they entered the game was destroyed. Sasaki was right. Children are their best before they become aware of the horrors of the world.
Goodbye, Tetro Danganronpa Pink. Goodbye Isono Miki. Goodbye Harada Keizou. Goodbye Chiba Airi. Goodbye Kamimura Kazutoshi. Goodbye Hayashi Mai. Goodbye Wada Masanari. Goodbye Sasaki Hitomi. Goodbye Ojima Takeshi. Goodbye Okazaki Hanano. Goodbye Hama Ran. Goodbye Tsuno Manami. Goodbye Hiroaki Nakamkgawa. Goodbye Tamba Ruiko. Goodbye Hasegawa Ken. Goodbye Watari Nishino. Goodbye Yanagi Shigeki. It was an honor to meet you all, and wherever you are, I hope you're happy. You all deserve it. You were all just children, broken, innocent, scared children. And while you may never be innocent again, I hope you can still be happy.
And thank you most to Von Babbit, the voice actors, and the editors. Thank you for giving me the honor to experience your art. I will never be the same again, but that's okay. Because you guided me here. I'm not lost, I'm not afraid, I'm just somewhere new. And I think it's beautiful here.

So I have no stake in ships in Avatar the Last Airbender, I do not have any real ships for the show. But when I was looking in Katara's tag for art and stuff, I saw this reoccuring claim that Katara always supported Aang with his problems and feelings, but that Aang never supported her back with hers.
And I don't care about the ships, but I do really like the friendships in Avatar, and that bothers me. It's a slight on Aang, but also on Katara (implying she wouldn't stand up for herself and break it off if a friend was all take and no give, which doesn't fit her personality at all.)
Aang does support Katara whenever he gets the chance, which is unfortunately few and far between because Katara seems to have a hard time leaning on the people she cares about and talking in depth about her own trauma and feelings about it, though she will do so when she literally doesn't care what the person thinks about her (and both times she opened up to Zuko about her Mom initially were her lashing out at him and not caring what he thought about her in return).
This would be something that would need to be addressed for a romantic relationship between them to truly work, and I imagine it would be part of the journey of finding a way to stay together, but it's very much not Aang's fault. And as I said, when he gets a chance to support her she does. Since I just recently rewatched most of the series, have a list of those times!
-His first time being supportive of her is literally a half hour after they first meet. As soon as she tells him about wanting more waterbending experience, he enthusiastically offers to fly all the way to the north pole so they can find her a master. And this very clearly means a lot to her.
-I don't think Aang knew how supportive of her he was being here, but there's the "I haven't done this since I was a kid" "You still are a kid!' exchange. As much as people accuse Aang of seeing Katara as his Mom (he's literally the one character who doesn't express that he does in The Runaway btw and I think that's for a reason) their first interaction establishes that he sees her as a kid, just like him, and think she should have fun like a kid does. This must have been huge for Katara, who'd been forced to take on adult responsibilities at a young age, who resented having to hold the family together, who thought her childhood was over. Aang helped her have fun and be the kid she is, and he'll continue to do so.
-When she lost her mother's necklace (And Zuko subsequently stole it) he was very concerned for her feelings and seemed to immediately understand the weight of that loss, due to his own experiences with loss. Not only did he make her a new necklace to wear as a way to comfort her, as soon as he saw Zuko had it he said "you're giving that back to me" and risked being hit by Zuko in his attempts to grab it. Then he gave it back to her and she was ecstatic!
-He was so supportive of her during the waterbending scroll episode it's actually ridiculous, despite how she lashed out at him. It's unclear if he actually understood she was upset or if this was just his unwavering respect for her coming out, but when she was upset that he learned the first move faster than her he said "well you didn't have such a great teacher!" and it clearly makes her feel better for a bit. He immediately forgives her for lashing out at him, doesn't judge her at all for stealing the waterbending scroll, or for accidentally dragging them into trouble. He, in fact, goes out of the way to reassure her, looking happy at the chance to work together and reminding her they need two waterbenders. And he appreciates her joke at the end (he's just straight up being simp (affectionate) there, and I get it).
-When Pakku won't teach her he immediately denounces him as wrong and unfair and is willing to sacrifice his own education (which he needs to save the world) because he won't stand for it. He remains upset about it even after Katara persuades him, tries to secretly show her what Pakku taught him, and cheers her on when she fights him.
-When she's crying over Jet's death, he's the first one to notice and reach out to her, putting his hand gently on her shoulder and drawing her into a hug (that becomes a group hug). She smiles and clearly feels comforted. They probably talked about it offscreen too (but this cannot be shown as they would need to directly acknowledge his death to do so)
-He's pretty much always praising her as a teacher, and when she grumbles about him not calling her Sifu, he goes out of his way to call her that.
-He notices that she's mad at her Dad and asks her about it, but she deflects
-He looks really sad when he has to remind her she has to take off her mother's necklace for their Fire Nation disguises, again it's something he very much seems to empathize with her about, he understands the weight of what it means to her.
-He not only doesn't judge her for lying during the Painted Lady saga, but praises her and enthusiastically helps her commit ecoterrorism.
-Both he and Sokka move to comfort her when she's crying after the bloodbending fiasco. Most of the comforting of her happens offscreen, which I do think is a shame, and a contrast to how Aang is handled- but it's more of a "he's the main character" thing, since the same happens for Sokka as well (I'm sure Katara and Aang talked to him about Yue's death and at least tried to comfort him, but we don't get to see that).
-He was trying to support her during the Southern Raiders ep, whether you believe he did it well or not, both according to his beliefs and cultural values and by trying to emulate the ways she's talked HIM down from revenge and hatred in the past. He specifically brings up those two incidents- losing his people and losing Appa- where she stepped in to keep him from losing himself to rage. As this post notes, he also specifically echoes her phrasing from when she was urging him not to lose himself to the Avatar state (she says "watching you be in that much rage and pain is really scary" and he echoes "you're feeling unbelievable pain and rage" while talking to her in this ep.)
It's not just the air nomads he's trying to emulate here, but her. Just like Katara doesn't want to see him consumed by hatred and pain, he wants the same for her. His concern is not for her mother's killer, but for her, he fears this will hurt her, just like her concern was always for him and how this would hurt him in those times he was raging.
He wants to do for her what she did for him. But, Katara is not him. She is not someone who will be talked down by someone else when she is grieving, angry, and looking for revenge. Nobody can stop her when she sets her mind to it. She needs to wrestle with whether to kill him and she needs to come to her own conclusions, because she's the only one that can stop her. And Aang realizes that. He says it's a journey she'll have to take on her own, that she needs to face him doesn't stand in her way.
(I wonder if it kind of hurt, deep down, that he couldn't reach her the way she always reached him. I wonder if he felt upset that he couldn't find the right words like she did for him. But I don't think there were any right words. She needed him to step back. It was her choice to make. So he did.)
And in the end, he was correct that she didn't want to do it. She did choose that based on her own feelings and values.
His assumption Katara not killing the guy = forgiveness is definitely him just kind of applying his assumptions and values, but when she says she doesn't forgive him, he doesn't like, judge her or anything that we can see.
So yeah, quite a few examples! It can feel lopsided because more attention is paid to Aang and Katara's personality affects things.
Katara is both open about her emotions and not. She's someone who will look after other's feelings but not really discuss her own pain with people she cares about, until it all builds up and bursts out.
And it's not surprising she's most concerned about Aang, if my friend had recently (from his perspective) survived a genocide where he lost everyone he loved and was now tasked with saving the world at twelve years old, I'd be pretty worried about him and want to support him too! Aang goes through a lot by virtue of being the protagonist, he has the most pressure on him, he's routinely in the most danger, he literally dies for a few minutes. It's not surprising Katara has more opportunities to comfort him, but he unfailingly supports her in any of her problems of goals (when they're not murder) when he can.
I do think there's some missed opportunities to explore Katara and develop their relationship, but it doesn't make Aang a bad, unsupportive friend, or Katara his Mom and not his peer.

Hera wanted Athena to win
Guys hear me out, this is my conspiracy theory LMAO
I feel like in God Games when Athena is battling the Gods to help Ody, of all of them, Hera wanted her to win the whole time.
Hera is the final "level" of the game, and if Athena convinces her to say yes, then it's a yes and Ody must be released, and I'm sure Hera knew that fact.
Now look at what all the other Gods say.
Each of them gives a very specific reason why they don't want Ody to be freed.
Apollo's reason is slaughtering the sirens.
Hephaestus' reason is the Scylla sacrifice.
Aphrodite's reason is abandoning his mother.
Ares' reason is being cowardly in the Trojan war.
And then, we get to Hera, and she's just like 'Yeah just give me any good reason and I'll agree to let him go'. She has no qualms with Odysseus, she has no motivation even to fight with Athena on this. She doesn't really require convincing, per se.
She's legitimately just asking Athena to give her any half decent justification so she can say yes and make it look legit in front of Zeus.
The whole time as Athena is giving Hera reasons, Hera is also continuously egging her on to give her a better one, a more sound one that would look really convincing. She's saying things like 'Try Harder' and 'You can do better than that.'
So my theory is that after Zeus announced the God Games, Hera saw it as a chance to stick it to him for once, for all his cheating and disloyalty to their marriage, so she wanted Athena to win, and played her cards accordingly.
All she needed was Athena to give her any half-decent justification for her to say yes, so that the games look legitimate, but ultimately she was on her side the whole time. She made the game really easy for Athena, because she gave her free reign to think of absolutely anything and everything she possibly could in favor of Ody, instead of giving her a specific, niche argument she has to fight against.
Additionally, Hera is the goddess of marriage in the pantheon, and even if she doesn't care the least little bit about Odysseus, I am willing to bet she very much cares about Penelope.
Think about it, Hera herself is stuck in an awful marriage to Zeus and is not very happy about that. And she would 100% relate to Penelope's struggles of being alone, missing her husband and trying to ward off the suitors who are trying to force her into a, let's be real, abusive marriage with Antinous.
Hera as a wife definitely sympathizes with Penelope as a wife, and releasing Odysseus so he can return to Penelope is the only way to help her be protected again.
So there you go. My conspiracy is that Hera for one absolutely wanted Athena to win the entire time. I think she at the very least tried to help her, I mean she couldn't have known that Zeus would fucking kill her for winning LMAO

Would any of the characters (ROs + Luke, Viktor, Yvette) kill MC for the better good?? Are they more of a “I’ll burn the world for you” or “I’ll burn you for the world” type of person??
Oohhh 👀 In general, the Morozovs all would burn the world for each other (including Jackal, who would specifically burn the world for Luka).
But if we’re talking strictly about MC then it’ll go:
Ash
Would (literally) burn the world for MC, no questions asked.
Rin
Would burn the world (except for their family 🥺) for MC.
Santana
Depends on whether they’ll end up still being idealistic or becoming more cynical.
Idealistic Santana would probably burn MC to save the world; although I don’t think they’ll ever recover mentally from doing that.
Cynical Santana would let the world burn for MC; the world has not been particularly kind to them and their family, why should they sacrifice someone they love for said world?
Skylar
They’ll sacrifice MC for the good of the world, although not before trying everything, anything, other than that.
The act of doing that would definitely change Skylar as a person forever though. They probably would not be the cheerful and easy-going person they were after that.
Probably would’ve even stopped becoming a Superhero, still seeing that act of sacrificing MC as a failure on their part.
Viktor
They’ll sooner burn the whole world than to harm or let harm come to MC (and that includes his own family too 😢). Everything he’s done ever since having MC is for MC’s well-being and better future.
Luka
They’ll also burn the world for MC, except I don’t think he’ll be able to do so if he had to kill or grievously harm other people he loves and cares about… Which at this point in the story, the only people left other than MC are Grandpa, Ash, and Jackal. Considering most of them would most likely be on his side, I don’t think that’ll be a problem.
Yvette
Now, this is a spicy one… 👀 It’ll be such a moral dilemma for her. It’s true that she’s a superhero… But at the same time, she’s also a selfish person.
And it’s also true that she’s technically MC’s birth mother… But she also hasn’t had a specifically close relationship with MC. In addition, it also depends on whether MC chose to give her a second chance to reconnect or not because if not, then they’ll end up still being technically closer to strangers than family.
If MC reconnected with her, then there’s bigger chance she would help the Morozovs to burn the world for MC (I don’t think she’ll start it by herself). If not, then she’ll simply stay by the side and let the Morozovs do it; she won’t actively intervene as a superhero.

[ DRABBLE ] [ Honkai Star Rail ]
⚠️ Yandere, I don't support nor try to romanticize this toxic behaivor, i just write it for entretaiment
> What trigger them to kidnapt their darling
Aventurine
The pass of time. Aventurine becomes incredibly dependant of his darling, his life is barely important for him but if you want it, if you were so kind he would devote that life to you, but the pass of time is a reminder that something bad can happen to you, he can lose you one way or another and he needs to prevent that from happening
Topaz
Your goals. Topaz is a business woman, she knows what it is to fight and sacrifice to achive what you want, to work hard, and because of that she sees your own personal goals like something that will take you away from her at the end, please allow her to make your goals her goals, she would achive whatever you want with ease as long as you never leave her side
Jade
Your value. No matter what you say ot think of yourself Jade can see your true value, she makes risky deals and takes just as valueble things and feelings as the risk in exchange, she can see more than you can see in yourself and is the great value that she sees in you what lead her to want you all to herself
Boothill
His feelings. Boothill has suffered and lost enough already, he has lost even his own body, he now dedicate his whole existance to the revenge, meeting you was something completely unexpected, growing to love you so much was not necesary, but not that it have happened he won't take the risk of losing you too, he will take you with him and make sure to protect the only thing left for him, he will do better this time
Rappa
Your love. Whatever your reason was to accept her the way she is it was enough for the obsesive love to grow, whatever it was, love, care, admiration or just amusment, it was enough to make Rappa think that you could be the perfect partner in her journey, you are an unique ninja, no one can compare to you and because of that she will dragg you with her into her journey to fight the evil
Argenti
Your beauty. Kidnapting is such a stronge word that just don't feel right for him, is something he would never dare to do, however as a knight of beauty is his duty to devote himself to the beauty, he is dedicated to protect that same beauty and for him you are the most beautiful person in the entire cosmos, you can only compared to Idrila themself, so he became your devoted knight who would follow you even until the end of the world
Sunday
Your acceptance. Sunday has lost everything, even himself, he is starting over but that doesn't erease what he have done, he doesn't expect forgiveness but the fact that you accept him as he is now, that you give him another chance after everything have done before is what will lead him to cling onto you, he won't dare to kidnapt you, he has no place to call his own after all, but from now own he will never leave you side again
Robin
The incertany of the future. Robin is devoted to the harmony, she have been working really hard and give everything she has to be able to bring the harmony and peace where is more needed, and whenever you are around she can feel the harmony, you are what she needs to continue so she decides to keep you safe at her side, to never let you go, so both can be grapped around the harmony, together forever

Thinking about how Nat was already struggling with addiction as a teen before the wilderness, how she was seen as an outsider and trouble maker who was even shaded by her own teammates sometimes but in the wilderness? Nat had a purpose, her team needed her and she could handle the situation better than some of her more sheltered and privileged teammates. Then she became the Hunter, she had the responsibility of providing them with food and she kept them fed until winter and then during winter she still tried, every single day to find something to hunt, she helped coach map out the areas and even stayed out longer to help Travis find (presumed dead) Javi. When she failed to find anything to hunt and she was blamed for it by the group who spent their days in a warm cabin when she was out in the cold but she never stopped trying. She took Jackie and Ben’s remains back to the plane alone and humanised them, talked to them as if they were still people. She tried to give them some dignity in death even after they’d been eaten. After the trauma of being hunted and the guilt of letting a child die in her place, it would have been so easy to fall back into old patterns, drink and drugs were easily available come spring but she had been named leader, a role she never wanted but took on anyway. Her group needed her so she couldn’t fall apart, she got everyone working together to keep the fire going and build a literal village. She taught Gen how to hunt, helped akilah keep a little animal farm. She had everyone using their skills in different areas to thrive. She tried to keep the peace, because that’s probably all she’s ever wanted isn’t it? To live peacefully and she wants that for her community too. Then Ben is found and she has to face the groups anger and need for violent justice head on. Despite her efforts he’s found guilty, almost executed and kept prisoner until she has to kill him out of mercy. Once again she was put in another situation of having to choose what’s best for herself and the democracy of the group at someone else expense. This time I think she was ready to give up, she knew when she killed Ben she’d be either exiled or dead and maybe part of her wanted that, over facing another harsh winter and living with more blood on her hands. Then just as her purpose is taken away she’s given another purpose before she can self destruct. Now they have a chance at rescue, she can lead the group home and even when Shauna disarms her and forces everyone to stay Nat still tries to form a plan to get out, then the person who could get them out is killed and it breaks her she fully loses hope of going home. Then she finds out that there is another way, Van has a phone and Misty has the parts to fix it. So Nat tries to fix the phone secret with the help of Van and Misty. Meanwhile, Shauna is throwing her out of bed in the middle of the so Nat can’t risk escape to get to higher ground but shes not going to give up. Then there’s going to be a hunt, more violence is the last thing Nat wants but she has no choice but to comply but then she realises the hunt can provide a distraction she plans to escape with phone and she makes it. She gets to higher ground and she does it! She makes contact with the outside world! Nat tried so hard to get everyone home and she saved them but she doesn’t feel like a hero, more people were killed after Nat left and before rescue finally came. She tried so hard but she probably felt like it was never enough. When she got home she was just a fucked up kid again, now that no one needs her and she lacks a purpose. She can’t just compartmentalise and move on so she goes back to drinking and doing drugs just to get through the day. She’s stuck in this cycle until the last few weeks of her life when she finally starts to heal and had decided to start living she wouldn’t want her survival to be at the expense of another innocent life. So she makes that final sacrifice, her life for Lisa’s. Natalie’s story is a tragedy. It always was long before the crash.
#her reaction to the phone finally being answered breaks my heart because we know that her story doesn’t have a happy ending#natalie scatorccio#nat scatorccio#yellowjackets#yellowjackets spoilers

How about an allsan au where almoat everyman he meets absolutely fumbles for him when they spend only 5 minutes with him, he ofcourse is oblivious (hes not even bi in denial he's just stupid)
It starts ofcourse with zoro seeing him hold up a marine by the throat, Gin and Luffy being given food out of kindness and nothing else, Ace, crocodile being impressed by the mr prince tricks and so on so on
Also lots of men flirt with him on island but are quickly chased away by a glare and a sword to the throat or a guy wrapping around the pretty boy demanding food (or the good old possessive hat placement)
You decide the end couple but the whole of blue fumble for Sanji fr fr
Give this man all the simps.
Zoro choking on his drink as watches Sanji lift a marine by the throat which makes Usopp and Nami giggle at him. Gin falling for him as he eats the best food he's ever had in his whole fucking life that's keeping him from starving to death. Luffy falls in love with the way he talks about the All Blue and cares about his job and others. He's so fucking kind.
Ace falls for the guy who takes care of the others and doesn't let guests work, who spoils the handful of a little brother he has. Sir Crocodile who thinks the blond is cute and clever, who set up chances for his captain to save the crew and then him. Koza who sees how well he's taken care of his princess and the help he's given to take back Alabasta. He still insists on helping to serve and cook and Cobra is giving Koza knowing looks that make him flush and avert his eyes from the king and the cook.
Maybe it's after the time skip, after Dressrosa when Barto is literally drooling over the 'ONLY ALIVE' poster that Law is flustered and asking Luffy and Zoro about the cook. They're staring at him as Robin is giggling to herself because they are possessive. Both of them. It's the Monster Trio. Sanji is oblivious. Both of them are grumbling about Sanji not seeing their obvious interest but it's Sanji. If someone doesn't hit him over the head with a four by four he's not going to take the hint. Ask all of Tashigi's men from Punk Hazard who were crying at the cook not taking their advances. Okay maybe he just needs to be beaten with said four by four. Pedro straight up sacrifices himself for Sanji and Sanji only feels bad he's dead and that his life ended coming to get him.
You got the rest of the North Blue Boys who are obsessing over Stealth Black and Law feels like throwing up if it wouldn't insult the cook, he's so fucking excited. Luffy is over the fucking moon to see it in action. Yamato looking at Sanji from across the party and Luffy asks him what's up and he's just like Law with the whole 'the cook' thing. MARCO KNOWS better, he knows how to make an impression so at one point he's just talking to Sanji and Sanji keeps looking between Marco and whatever he thinks he needs to be doing so Marco just lightly grabs Sanji's chin and says it's rude to not focus on the person you're talking with. Sanji is so red and stuttering as Luffy wraps a rubber arm around Sanji screaming for meat as Sanji is ripped from in front of Marco to like the other side of the room.
Maybe it would end with zolusan or whatever the ship is called. Zoro asks if they have to do what Marco did after all the flirting he and Luffy have been doing for all of their sailing together and Sanji just being confused at what they're talking about.

Anon Ask: Wait wait so we have Bella’s mini me, the yan!romantic!Lestrange!OC x Twin!Weasley or criminal!Weasley
But
What about Yan!Malfoy!OC that’s Narcissa’s mini me just without the intense blood supremacy shit
Definitely magic supremacy, she’d wholeheartedly believe wizards and witches are better then muggles but having nothing against muggleborns/half bloods unless it’s personal beef
———
Pt.2 Draco makes a comment to Twin!Reader about never being able to “afford” a girl like Malfoy!OC when they’re on the Hogwarts Express for the first time and he catches them sharing a smile
He doesn’t understand what Draco means until Fred pats his shoulder and tells him that “girls like expect to be showered in champagne and diamonds and pretty flowers” and advises him to steer clear of her and Draco going forward
His inferiority complex thank you, Molly spirals to the point where Twin!Reader is doing dangerous and most likely illegal shit the more and more he develops feelings because maybe it’ll make Malfoy!OC and his mother really love him
If you wanna make it dramatic then Lestrange!OC is standing beside him almost every day wanting to pull out her hair because she’s right there and her cousin is just toying with his feelings knowing that she’ll never really sacrifice the Malfoy Fortune unless Twin!Reader proves he can provide
He does increasingly stupid shit as the years pass on like pursuing bounties the MoM put on dark wizards while holding a part time job during the summer months and finding a work around to participate in the Triwizard Tournament while selling/trading illegal materials at school
He knows that whatever chances existed are gone the moment Lucius Malfoy sits across from him at a poker table in some back room at a sketchy goblin run establishment and he smokes the table
————
I like to think that Yan!Malfoy!OC and Yan!Lestrange!OC are the same age and with that these two just have this deep seeded rivalry. They just always have. So when Lestrange!OC becomes obsessed with Weasley!Reader, Malfoy!OC sees this as another way to get at her cousin. I can imagine Malfoy!OC being someone who really craves and thrives off attention, just someone who prefers all eyes on her and when Weasley!Reader is doing the most to try and prove himself worthy of her (at least that’s what it looks like) she basks in it, wanting for even more constant attention. But she would never say that she liked Weasley!Reader or anything like that, this is strictly an ego boost for her and a way to get under her cousin’s skin.
I would really like to believe that Weasley!Reader isn’t going out of his way so much as to prove himself to the Malfoy’s or Malfoy!OC but instead he’s doing so to prove to himself that he is capable of so much more than what people think of him. Especially his mother and now the Malfoy’s. He’s not trying to earn Malfoy!OC’s affections like she and everyone else is under the impression of, no what he’s actually doing is finally putting his foot down. Weasley!Reader has put up with a lot, he’s already treated like shit at home by his own mother, he’s not just gonna let someone else treat him the same all over again in the only place he feels even remotely safe and comfortable. And I like to think that this only lasts for a bit, not too long, until Weasley!Reader just has enough of feeling like he needs to do anything to prove himself at all anymore and he just stops completely. Stops giving anything of himself to Malfoy!OC especially cause it’s one thing to have to deal with his mother but he can just walk away from Malfoy!OC and ignore her. The poor boy is just tired. So tired.
But in being ignored, Malfoy!OC instead finds herself at a loss. No one has just up and ignored her before, save for Lestrange!OC, so this is a completely foreign concept to her. At first, she tries to brush it off and act like it’s whatever, if anything this is better cause then she won’t be having to waste her own time on measly Weasley!Reader and his shenanigans. But the longer Weasley!Reader doesn’t even so much as spare her a glance, Malfoy!OC is left feeling empty. She doesn’t want to admit how much she actually looked forward to Weasley!Reader’s attention, how warm she felt inside whenever he came back proud of himself after accomplishing some new endeavor or when he ended up bringing something new from one of his many ventures to prove himself capable. Like, the time he gifted her a Basilisk fang after killing the one in the Chamber of Secrets. (He didn’t gift her shit, he tossed it on the table in the Slytherin common room after coming back from saving Ginny and fighting for their lives. Malfoy!OC just took it as a gift meant for her.) I guess you could say Malfoy!OC is experiencing withdrawals. She’s so out of sorts not having Weasley!Reader seeking her out anymore that she almost doesn’t know what to do with herself. More often than not she’s left just to watch as Weasley!Reader gives the attention he use to put towards her towards Lestrange!OC now. Not like he wasn’t giving her cousin attention before but now that’s all Malfoy!OC sees. And she hates it. She wants his eyes back on her, she wants to be the only thing he looks at. What started off as Weasley!Reader proving himself ends with Malfoy!OC now trying to prove herself more deserving of his attention than her cousin ever could be.
Malfoy!OC would turn into a complete stalker after being ignored and basically abandoned by Weasley!Reader. She is everywhere he goes, she sees and hears everything that goes on with and around him. When the Zabini’s take Weasley!Reader in and under their wings, Malfoy!OC is now making more appearances at the Zabini home when he’s over. And whenever the chance, she’s interrogating Blaise for as much more information as she can get her hands on. Like, Malfoy!OC gets so bad to the point where even Dobby is warning Weasley!Reader, and that’s before he ever started working for him. Or Dobby is reaching out to Lestrange!OC in hopes of her being able to do something, whether it’s to get Malfoy!OC to back off altogether or to just be there for Weasley!Reader. Either way, Malfoy!OC just does a whole downward spiral into obsession. Don’t even get me started on when she demands her parents arrange a marriage between her and Weasley!Reader. After all he’s pureblood so it’s fine and he’s obviously nothing like the rest of his family, so why can’t she have him at the end of the day? All just cause Daddy Lucius is a sore loser? Whatever, he can get over it. Otherwise, Malfoy!OC is going to throw the biggest bitch fit ever seen in Malfoy history.
The rivalry between Lestrange!OC and Malfoy!OC will only become all the more intense after Malfoy!OC’s own obsession kick starts. These two will be at each other’s throats even more than they already were. The only time they can even be considered as remotely ‘working’ together is when it comes to someone else trying to swoop in on Weasley!Reader. Only then is it not “my darling”, but rather “our darling”. Could the two possibly ever come to the capability of sharing, maybe but it’ll never truly be peaceful. There will always be competition but hey at least they both get the same thing at the end of the day, right?

Ugh. I have to say it. I’ve been holding it back because I know how much fandom hates this plot point so much. And like maybe it’s because I enjoy angst, or because characters coming in a vacuum sealed ‘morally upstanding’ package is just not realistic or enjoyable to me.
But Gwen should not have been ‘bewitched’ to cheat on Arthur with Lancelot. For one, it just sets another horrible precedence of magic use within the narrative. And two: it’s boring as hell. Oh, and also apparently Gwen was only allowed screen time in later seasons when her autonomy was nowhere to be seen. So three. Three reasons why I find it dumb as hell. And one that last front? Yeah, I think she should have willingly had an affair with Lancelot. I know, I Know. Cheating bad. Cheating make evil wrong person. Or whatever twitterinas are saying.
But hear me out (or don’t). How did Gwen feel after Lancelot died after she made him promise to return Arthur to her alive? Did she feel that she had unwittingly sentenced him to death? Her first true love; the man she looked for in other men. (Maybe we’d know how she felt if the writers didn’t have her going off like a broken record and just keep repeating what a great king Artie would someday be). I wish we had seen her grief, I wish she had been given time to mourn (as we know she never is in a series that kills every family member she has). And then Lancelot returns. She realizes she stills loves him, she feels guilty and blames herself thinking she had a part in his death. She thinks she asked him to sacrifice himself. And she wonders if she made the right choice. Lancelot and Arthur are there before her, and her wedding is in two days, and it’s all so sudden and the window of opportunity is about to be closed for the rest of her life; and she wonders if she’s chosen the right man. Gwen wonders if she’s been given a second chance, can she amend her previous choices. Does she want to amend them. Yes, this storyline opens her up to all sorts of criticisms. Fandom would condemn her a slut, she would join the ranks of women who can’t just make up their damn mind. Someone would declare it’s anti-feminist, because women aren’t allowed to be portrayed with “bad” qualities and when they are it just sets us all back.
But…it would be so much more nuanced than the plot they gave us. It would give Gwen the opportunity to make the choice because in the past it had been robbed from her (Lancelot leaving when he realized that Arthur loved Gwen, and Lancelot dying the first time). It would grant her autonomy over her own sexuality and choice of partner(s). Unlike the male protagonists in this show, Gwen is never actually given a real chance to morally grapple with anything, especially her own actions. She just is a good person who never does anything wrong, can be a bad-ass if it’s required, and falls into the straight and narrow path of ideal womanhood when she gets a boyfriend in a position of extreme power.
I know I’m barely making sense, but she just could have been written so much better. She could have been treated like a real person in the writers room, but she wasn’t.

Okay so, let's start with the goat, shall we? (Sorry, this is a long post!)
• In this dimension there is no prophecy to fulfill, there is no chosen one or a mission. On the other hand, there is an overpopulation of goats, which has led them to kill or hunt them without much remorse, considering them undesirable (for this reason, families usually separate in order to have a better chance of survival). While there is nothing illegal/wrong about interacting with goats, it is usually avoided most of the time.
• The goat's original name is Jonah, he used to be a kind of thief to earn a living since he was a child, since he was separated from his family at a young age. He ends up joining a ship as part of the crew for some time, but when he is caught stealing from the captain he ends up being thrown into the sea tied with weights to die.
• In this dimension it is assumed that after dying you are guided to the other world, to be added to the queue to reincarnate with a new life at least a century later. But Jonah is instead taken out of this line by Yuridia (the equivalent of Narinder in this world).
• Jonah is offered the opportunity to return to a new life, on the condition of "freeing the goddess who was unjustly imprisoned by her siblings", but he refuses, simply not interested. Yuridia ends up convincing him by striking a chord with him, acting affectionately and manipulating him with the idea that after she is freed he is going to marry the goddess (I want to highlight the fact that she did not say that they would both be married , but only him with her). And this is how the poor goat, already hungry for affection, ends up involved in the mess of the bishops and the goddess.

• Yuridia usually acts all loving and kind, presenting herself as someone sweet but with a strong character who constantly makes empty promises and flirts. She treats the goat - which she has renamed Kairos - as her knight who will come to save her. This ends up generating a kind of obsession/dependency in him to do what she tells him, in exchange for the goddess treating him well.
• Kairos' mission ends up being fulfilled in ten years in which several things happen:
+ The cultists hate the idea that the beloved ancient goddess Yuridia has chosen a goat as a vessel (which we already know was a not very beloved species), so they are not very respectful or kind to it. Furthermore, the fact that Yuridia possesses the goat during sermons and usually spouts aggressive doctrines has generated a rumor that probably part of the sermons are inventions of the leader.
+ During this period Kairos also learns that Yuridia's confinement was orchestrated by herself, and that in reality she only wanted to destroy the bishops so that she would be the only one with power over the lands of the old faith. Despite this he decides to continue.
+ Even though the order is to kill the Kairos bishops, he ends up just stealing their crowns and giving them to Yuridia, who disables them so that no one else can use them. The bishops are thrown out and returned to their lands as mortals.
+ Kairos also meets Yuridia's sons/guardians, who warn him that he should abandon the mission of helping the goddess for his own good and that of the world in which they live.
+ The goat also begins to know Yuridia's true intentions and behaviors as she witnesses the mistreatment of her children and various discussions about doctrines that usually end in discipline, but ends up downplaying it, blinded by the goddess's pampering and manipulations.
• After completing his mission, Kairos voluntarily gives his life, his heart being torn out by the goddess as a sacrifice. Yuridia takes back the crown as the sole goddess of the lands of the old faith and the goat is revived.
• The wedding takes place as a kind of private ceremony between the two, but ends up being somewhat one-sided since only Kairos marries Yuridia and not vice versa. This leads to him constantly asking her (maybe begging hehe) for the two to actually get married, but she just ends up postponing it or saying she'll think about it.
• Little by little Yuridia's affections turn into simple dominance, and the manipulation becomes more evident for Kairos who also little by little begins to distrust her. The goddess treats him as a kind of pretty trophy that she takes care of, although she doesn't really give him any more attention than necessary. [I think we could summarize their relationship as those people who have little purse dogs, all cute but who really take little care of them]
• After Yuridia's rise the former bishops try to steal their old crowns with the intention of making them work again, but the goat's job is to keep them away.
• As such Kairos is displaced, since he is no longer the leader of the cult and Yuridia does not need him by her side, so he dedicates himself to exploring. It is thanks to this that he stumbles upon a way to travel to the dimension of the lamb.
• Thanks to the latter, he runs into Yuridia's third son, who has ended up reincarnating in the wrong dimension. He decides to help him reunite with his brothers by bringing them to the dimension of the lamb where they will no longer suffer the mistreatment of their mother.
• Years go by and more things happen:
+ Kairos ends up falling out of love and begins to fear Yuridia's temperament, so being by her side at this point feels like being imprisoned.
+ He spends more time in the dimension of the lamb, things that the goddess does not like.
+ Kairos accidentally revives the lamb's sister (story for another post) and somehow ends up liking her, considering leaving his dimension.

+ The Lamb ends up giving him the final motivation to leave his dimension and finally get away from Yuridia.
• The day arrives and Kairos intends to leave Yuridia's cult, but she decides to prevent him by almost torturing him in order to stay since he belongs to her. However, by trying to kill her, the weight of the promises she made during her false imprisonment ends up killing her from within, allowing the goat to escape, thus condemning her old dimension to a world without gods (or so we believe).
• After recovering Kairos settles into the cult of the lamb where he can finally be at peace.

Aughhh here is the first loredump! It's a bit long, sorry!! I would have liked to add some doodles to make the reading easier, but I really have no ideas at the moment QwQ

After starting the PJO series I picked the book back up. And by the end of the series I had also finished the book. And imma just say it.
The series is better.
Yes the major weakness of the PJO series is that they figure out too many of the traps and it detracts from the excitement. But they sacrificed that to take full advantage of reimagining the series from outside of Percy’s POV. It’s clear to me that, with runtime they were given, they had to make the choice to speed through some things to allow us to get more out of the story as a whole.
Because the show isn’t strictly from Percy’s POV, we get the chance to see relationships like Sally and Poseidon more fleshed out. And Sally herself is more fleshed out! We get flashbacks we never got before that add SO much to Percy and Sally’s relationship. In the book there was hardly any interaction between them! Many of the characters, Annabeth, Luke, Grover, even Percy himself, are also allowed to become more fleshed out in the series than they were in the book.
It also gives Rick the chance to play with some elements. Instead of having Percy see The Fates cut the string at the beginning of the story, Annabeth sees it after Percy falls from the arch. This not only is a more appropriate placement for adding some drama to the story, but also it makes WAY more sense that Annabeth would see it…considering who the string is for.
Changes to how The Arch and Ares’ trap play out add more to the main trio. Showing us their fatal flaws, what they’re passionate about, what their strengths are.
The change to Luke’s betrayal scene is just…such an improvement. When I read it prior to the last episode coming out, all I could think of was…really? That’s it? It felt awkward and lacking the emotional weight I felt it should’ve. The PJO show fixed that.
Personally, I’m more than happy to sacrifice some of the hijinks and excitement of these kids continuously walking blindly into traps in exchange for all of this.

all the luck in the world | lea schüller
warnings: ~
word count: 807
summary: you only believe in luck when it comes to lea
a/n: just a lil lea appreciation blurb

luck is a funny thing.
some people say attribute every good thing that's happened to them to it and while you don't do that, you have never once doubted that in more than one situation, luck had nothing to do with it.
because you worked hard for every good thing you have in your life.
your career's been built on sacrifices and effort. you're at the top because you fought your way there. you're so good at what you do because you chose to be, putting in the work day in and day out to make it happen.
it hadn't been something as random as luck that had made you successful. it had been a little girl with a dream of being a professional footballer who had poured every bit of herself into fulfilling it that did.
your club hadn't noticed you by chance. your country's coach hadn't noticed you because of it either.
as for bad luck, it is simply your belief that unfortunate things just happened. injury comes out of the blue sometimes and there is no way to foresee and therefore prevent it.
for better or for worse, things simply happen.
so really, you don't quite believe in luck.
not unless it comes to the blonde currently lying in your bed.
there is no other way to explain it. you'd admired her for so long, crushed on her for long that it's practically a dream for you to be able to touch her, to kiss her and call her yours.
you have both luck and lena to thank for it.
really, you'd almost given up hope that lea would ever notice your feelings for her when obi succeeded in finally knocking sense into her oblivious best friend's head.
her best friend who had apparently thought she was alone in her less than platonic longing.
the two of you could be considered idiots. idiots with good luck.
but that's all past now because you have lea and lea has you.
the striker has her hair loose, it's spread across your pillow and she is smiling up at you.
it is too tempting of a sight and you can't help whispering, 'you're so pretty.'
very gently, you lean in and brush your lips across hers.
she sighs contentedly into it and you continue to kiss her after briefly drawing back and murmuring, 'so gorgeous.'
your girlfriend melts a little and you take the opportunity to straddle her, lightly brushing strands of hair from her face.
her blue eyes blink and you decide you love the way her eyelashes flutter as she does so.
'absolutely breathtaking.' you state and bring your lips down to meet hers again.
lea lets out a tiny moan and encouraged by it, you begin to kiss your way towards her exposed collarbones.
each time your lips touch her skin, the german woman trembles beneath you. the effect you have on her is intoxicating and she would not have it otherwise.
'baby.' she breathes when place a particularly long kiss on the edge of her collarbone.
you huff a small laugh and kiss her again, your lips trailing further down towards her breasts.
lea's breath audibly catches as you scatter open mouthed kisses onto the sensitive area.
now you only have access to whatever isn't covered by the sports bra she's wearing because the both of you are still in the early stages of your relationship. neither of you are ready for that kind of intimacy yet. soon but not just yet.
for now though, seeing lea's chest rise and fall in an increasingly fast rate because of your ministrations is enough. it gives you your own personal high.
germany's star forward bites her lip as her hands brace themselves on your hips so you check, 'this okay?'
the bayern munich player nods rapidly, 'don't stop. please.'
very happily, you do as she asks.
your girlfriend's skin is soft and the touch of your lips against it elicits sharp gasps and brief whimpers from her.
lea's fingers dig into your waist and you groan her name out loud.
'you're the definition of the word beautiful my love.'
the blonde's mouth parts slightly and she flushes from her face all the way down to her chest.
'okay.' she breathes shyly.
'and so amazingly talented too. we wouldn't have gotten this far in the competition without you.' you add.
ever humble, the striker starts to protest but you grin and move to kiss her senseless once more, effectively shutting her up.
it's not often that the both of you can get some time alone while with the national team, especially when competing at a big tournament like the olympics.
so you are going to make the absolute best out of the precious time that you have, while your pretty pretty girlfriend's here in your bed.
