I've seen people say that the blue cast are taking the killing game more seriously then the pink cast and i feel like this is easier explained by the settings rather than the pink cast just not having their shit together. In pink they had a visible plan of attack by day one, they weren't worried about the game because they had an escape route planned and one person who would be an expert in getting there. The first murder in pink was also very situational, sure it was a shame that two people had died but at the end of the day it was because Sasaki's hand was forced. Another murder happening wasn't that anticipated because they still had the vent plan and they still had chiba. This resulted in the pink cast only really taking the game as seriously as they should have in chapter three. Meanwhile in blue they have no exit plan, but they're in a much more hostile environment. Within the lab there are two separate spaces practically designed to trap people in, incredibly cramped living quarters, and a room filled with unlabled medication. It makes sense that the blue cast is more stressed and taking the game more seriously, they have literally nothing going for them right now but puzzles and pizza.

Thoughts on day one now that I’m fully compartmentalized it all!!

- The bathroom sharing is 110% important. Like doesn’t even need to have to be for a murder it’s just gonna be super important somehow.

- Ouno Nanae my beloved is ready to kill a man. She is so silly /affectionate. She has abs a crowbar and a will to live do not fuck with her

- Yaitabashi & Nishiguchi have a really nice dynamic I like them a lot I hope they are good friends. She immediately wanted for form a truce, she immediately wanted to make sure he didn’t hurt himself, Nishiguchi Mutsuki has older sister energy and I love her.

- Yokoi and Ninomiya should also be besties they are so very silly together. Yokoi is a lot goofier than I anticipated she is so very cute and silly, same with Ninomiya. I think it’s cute that Yokoi immediately gives her first name out to strangers like “hello we’re friends now :3”

- the calm room and the amnesia room scare me. There is no context in which a room with no lights that locks from the outside is not concerning in a death game. There is no context in which a room called THE AMNESIA ROOM with a shit ton of unlabeled pills in KAN TORANOSUKE’S workplace is not concerning. Some fuck shit is going down in this lab and it concerns me. I miss fujioka it was chill there the lab terrifies me outright.

- Ogura Noriko is Ogura Noriko and this makes me happy. She and Tsukigata are an unexpected but very fun dynamic. I call them authentic Japanese transfem.

- Denden Misao existed and it made me very happy :3

- JESUS CHRIST GUYS ITS DAY ONE. Two separate students have been punished on day fucking one the blue cast is not playing around. Akitei being idiots together. At least we learned our lesson without getting sent to the backrooms, although it does make me just a little sad that monomoko had to not only hurt one student but two students like I know you didn’t wanna do that girl :<

- Akitei. He said “I like you” to him twice now. They are now officially boyfriends.

- Blue has a very different vibe over all and it’s making me feel fear. I don’t know why but I am scared. Horrified for when the first motive drops, my current bet is that we’re getting the starvation motive.

I think tetro danganronpa should end with Kan and Tatematsu suspended over a pit of vipers and toads, Kan by the balls, tatematsu by the ankle, and left there to hang until they starve enough to slip through the shackles. Yonekura can just be shot in the leg and shoved in the pit to be devoured.

I don't think I've seen anyone mention the absolute quality of blues art by the way. Like Yokoi's sprite is actually gorgeous artwork. I get distracted watching her interview because I'm just so enamored with the artwork. Like don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with pinks art, but its very clear that von grew as an artist between pink and blue and it makes my eyeballs happy :>

At the risk of sounding greedy, it makes me wonder how pretty whites art will be :0 (/j I am not impatient tbc)

Okay I understand why some people are being weird about Yaitabashi. It's a very easy connection to make, character is about to be thrust into a situation where perception and vigilance are important, but character has an impairment that makes perception harder, this could be important later and potentially put him in harms way. The leap itself does not frustrate me, its how when people make that assumption and continue to talk about it, they are erasing Sou's character. Literally everything we know about him is that he's perceptive and detail oriented, he works with miniatures and fragile objects in his daily life, he dresses very orderly and nicely, he picks up on subtle details and keeps them tucked away for when he'll need them and is very good at arguing his points. By saying that his blindness makes him an easy target, you have erased Yaitabashi's personality and skills and replaced him with Blind TM, which is doing a disservice to Von's writing and to other people who are visually impaired.

Oh no I have a "literally me" character in tetro. Like before it was Wada but we still had enough differences but now I've been given a delicious smarmy pink haired twink on a silver platter. Literally the second I saw him i was like "oh im going to become a completely new person when he drops." Like my favorite was still denden but I knew he was going to cause irreparable damage to my psyche. But like pink haired and its long, literal same build as me I think we're the same height, the sweet customer service side, sarcastic, I have said fuck you repeatedly the exact same way he does before his trailer dropped, we both dont sleep, he's an akiba fucker, we're both legal independents at 17, we have so much in common.
