Instead of yet another stupid apocalypse, you know what the final “battle” of Season 4 actually should’ve been?
The Umbrellas (including Ben) vs. Reginald.
No Cleanse.
No Keepers.
No durango.
NO REGINALD REDEMPTION.
None of that nonsense.
We should’ve had all of the Reginalds merge. So in the end, he remembers all the events of the previous seasons. Including the original timeline. He is the Reginald who raised and tormented and abused the Umbrellas.
The same should’ve happened to Ben; the Umbrella and Sparrow versions merge, and he has the memories of both versions. He is the Ben they once lost.
We should’ve learned the full extent of Reginald’s alien powers. It should’ve turned out that he is in fact a one-man army when he wants to be.
We should’ve seen Reginald’s plan backfire - the “tools” that he created in a selfish plot to get his wife back rebel and take back their autonomy from him. All his years of child abuse come back to haunt him as he is given no choice but to acknowledge that the Umbrellas are actual people, that they have found the real meaning of love in each other and his efforts to control them have truly failed. That there is more to these people than his own selfishness. All of his teachings come back to haunt him as their powers are used against him.
We should’ve had the siblings - plus Lila since she’s part of the family and also hates the man who abused her beloved Diego - finally face off against Sir Reginald Hargreeves. Both a physical and verbal battle.
Luther uses his super strength. Diego uses his trajectory tricks. Allison uses her rumoring for mental torment. Klaus conjures ghosts as backup. Viktor’s energy blasts bring Reginald’s worst fears to life. Five’s teleporting and time manipulation make their victory inevitable. Lila’s mirroring only doubles the effects.
And, through teamwork, the family win the battle and kill Reginald. (In Guardians of the Galaxy-type fashion.)
Together, the traumatized children finally conquer their abuser together.
Maybe they kill Abigail too, or maybe she sides with them and expresses disapproval at the atrocities that Reginald committed because of her.
Maybe Reginald is holding Sloane prisoner on the moon in Abigail’s place, and the final battle also operates as her rescue.
But definitely, the climax needed to be a confrontation between Reginald and his “marigold” children.
At least that would’ve been an actual emotional payoff to the 3 seasons of buildup and character development.

Bachelor Party
Five Hargreeves x Fem!reader
Warnings: none
Five Hargreeves had never been one for grand celebrations, but his brothers insisted on throwing him a bachelor party. It was a tradition, they said, a rite of passage before he tied the knot with Y/N. So, reluctantly, he agreed.
The evening started off innocently enough. Luther, Diego, Klaus, Ben, and Viktor gathered at a swanky downtown bar. Drinks flowed freely, laughter echoed, and the Hargreeves brothers enjoyed a rare moment of camaraderie.
"To Five!" Klaus shouted, raising his glass. "The smartest, most annoying brother we have!"
Five rolled his eyes but couldn't suppress a smile. "Thanks, Klaus. I think."
The night quickly escalated. Klaus, ever the instigator, suggested they visit a karaoke bar. Despite Five's protests, he soon found himself on stage, microphone in hand, belting out an off-key rendition of "Livin' on a Prayer" with Klaus as his backup singer. Diego tried to keep a straight face but failed miserably, laughing so hard he nearly fell off his chair.
Ben and Viktor, meanwhile, engaged in a heated competition at the pool table.
Luther, the ever-responsible brother, attempted to keep everyone in line, but even he couldn't resist the chaos. By the time they left the karaoke bar, everyone was in high spirits—and thoroughly drunk.
Their next stop was a nightclub, where Klaus somehow managed to charm his way into the VIP section. The brothers danced, drank, and caused a general ruckus. Five, trying to maintain some semblance of control, found himself pulled into the madness despite his best efforts.
As the night wore on, things began to spiral further out of control. Diego ended up in a dance-off with a stranger, Ben and Viktor got into a debate about the merits of classic rock versus modern pop, and Klaus disappeared for a suspiciously long time, only to return with a group of new "friends" in tow.
Five, feeling overwhelmed and more than a little tipsy, finally reached his breaking point. He pulled out his phone and called Y/N.
"Hey, sweetheart," he said, trying to sound casual despite the chaos around him. "I was wondering if I could come home now."
Y/N laughed on the other end of the line. "Five, it's your bachelor party! You're supposed to have fun. Enjoy it, okay?"
Five sighed, a smile tugging at his lips. "I miss you. This isn't really my scene."
"I know," Y/N replied gently. "But you're only going to do this once. Make some memories with your brothers. I'll be here when you get back."
Encouraged by her words, Five hung up and rejoined his brothers. As the night continued, he let go of his reservations and embraced the chaos. He danced with Klaus, cheered on Diego, and even challenged Ben and Viktor to a game of darts.
By the time the sun began to rise, the Hargreeves brothers were a disheveled, exhausted mess, but they were also closer than ever. Stumbling out of the nightclub, they laughed and recounted the night's events, supporting each other as they made their way home.
When Five finally returned to the mansion, he found Y/N waiting for him, a knowing smile on her face. "Have fun?" she asked.
Five nodded, pulling her into a hug. "It was insane. But yeah, I did."
"I'm glad," Y/N said, kissing his cheek. "Now let's get you some sleep, future husband."
As they walked up to their room, Five reflected on the night. It had been chaotic, overwhelming, and completely out of his comfort zone. But it had also been a night of bonding and laughter, a celebration of family and love. And as he drifted off to sleep, Five knew that he was grateful for each and every one of his brothers.

Bro my surprise when I listened to Warriors for the first time and a full-blown METAL SONG started playing was off the charts. Kim Dracula’s vocals as Luther are INSANE. They perfectly portrayed the lunatic-high-on-victory vibe Luther has. I also love Cropsy being his little backup.

The spirit of Cyrus and how the system crushed her.
One of the biggest changes from The Warriors 1979 film to this new vision isn’t just the gender swap of key characters—it’s how the police and the entire system are reframed as the real evil in the story. When Cyrus gathers all the gangs, her vision isn’t just about peace between rivals; she’s calling for a unified front against the cops who lurk around and disrupt their lives. Her speech isn’t about street power, but about empowering the community to stand against the forces of oppression.
The truth is, Cyrus sees the real enemy isn’t within their own streets—it’s those serving a system that’s set on keeping them down. History has proven her right: policing in America has often been about protecting the elite, silencing anyone they deem "unacceptable," especially if they don’t fit the “ideal” mold. Indigenous people, Black and Brown communities, anyone who dares to exist outside white, privileged norms—they’re the ones society polices, the ones the system works to erase or control.
In the original, male Cyrus came across as just another "big bad" trying to be a mob boss. When he dies, you’re almost led to shrug it off, like his dream was just a fantasy. But here, with a Black woman as Cyrus—a true activist—you feel her tragic death echo, channeling the loss of figures like Martin Luther King Jr.
And then there’s Luther. He’s an unsettling character, someone the system actually benefits. Why? Because he’s white. He gets away with things others can’t, shielded by his appearance and privilege, even as he revels in tearing the community apart. Of course, someone like Luther would hate Cyrus’s dream—it threatens his automatic advantage. The cops won’t go after Luther or his gang, just like the police tend to ignore white supremacists and hate groups today. As long as they look a certain way, they’re not seen as a “real” threat.
What’s chilling is how Luther and the Rogues are invited to join a movement of solidarity, to unite with the community, and instead they become the ones who tear it all down. When Luther sings his first song, it’s jarring—a complete shift from the soulfulness of “Can You Count?” to his arrogant, snide tone. He’s out of sync with the world Cyrus dreamed of, and he uses that to his advantage. He casually tips off the cops, sneers at the women (calling them “girls”), and mocks non-white characters for how they speak. He embodies privilege weaponized.
Meanwhile, the police barely lift a finger throughout the album. They only go after the Warriors when they’re at their most vulnerable but ignore every other gang causing havoc. Officer Barnes, for example, uses his authority to harass the Warriors, almost baiting them into a fight. When Ajax gets cornered in "The Park at Night," Barnes makes it clear that he sees her as prey, but he still knows he can call for backup with a snap of his fingers. Another officer, Victor, kills Fox in cold blood without a hint of remorse.
This album’s ACAB message is no footnote—it’s the heartbeat of the entire story. The gangs know the police are their greatest danger, the Borroughs dream of change under Cyrus’s leadership, and even Luther sees the cops as a tool to weaponize. The Warriors, once they leave Coney, see how deep the rot goes.
By the end, there’s an underlying message that speaks louder than anything else: this system is beyond saving. It needs to be torn down because it was never built to protect them. This is where director Davis and her mark shine, bringing a fire and an urgency to the story that makes it resonate with today’s social climate.
And honestly, I hope Lin-Manuel Miranda keeps collaborating with voices like hers. It’s making his work grow in ways that feel bold, necessary, and ultimately timeless.

Batman Outsider POV Fic Recs
This list will include all ratings and tags, so read at your own discretion! :)
Wait... you're backup? by Ceciliedr - Rated T
When her team is captured by Lex Luther, Traci can do little more than cross her fingers for a rescue. When someone does crash the party, it isn't anyone she knows. Traci sincerely hopes the guy in the red helmet is on their side.
library card by mikkal - Rated T
Jason Todd, Red Hood, and the Park Row Public Library (and her librarians).
Finding a New Perspective by njw - Rated T
“I got this, Hood.” Red Robin sounds annoyed as he arcs and twists through the air, kicking one henchman into another and wrenching the gun away from a third while simultaneously retracting his grappling line and then launching it to catch another unwary henchman. Just, how?
“I can see you do,” Red Hood says, and wait. Was his voice always that deep? Is he… Maya squints. Is he staring at Red Robin’s ass?
She blinks, then studies the line of sight more closely. Maybe he’s just checking out Red Robin’s kneecaps, in preparation for shooting at them? That seems more his style. Sexual attraction is kind of confusing and she still doesn’t totally believe Tosh that it’s actually as big a thing as people make it out to be—seriously, do other people really spend that much time thinking about it? Sounds fake but okay.
But no, Red Hood’s helmet is totally pointed at Red Robin’s ass. Huh. That’s new.
Captain Marvel's Adopted? by Len_suilon_mellon - Rated T
When Captain Marvel sends out a distress call, the only League member available is Batman. Bruce comes to his aid, but he finds out that Billy is a 10-year-old homeless orphan with black hair and blue eyes. Obviously, he makes the only logical decision and adopts Billy. Because it's Bruce—who's allergic to revealing life-changing information—the League is left in the dark. This story is written as 5+1 story from the Justice League's POV as they attempt to define the weird relationship between Batman and Captain Marvel. 5 times they didn't realize Batman had adopted Captain Marvel, and the 1 time they did.
The Startling Secret Identity of The Batman by Nokomis - Rated T
Good evening, super-sleuths! Boy, do we have a treat for you today. We’re delving into one of the biggest unsolved mysteries of the modern era. The million-dollar question. The billion-dollar question, if one of these theories holds water. That’s right. We’re gonna risk life, limb and sanity by asking the question… who is The Batman? [In-universe Buzzfeed Unsolved accidentally stumbles on Batman’s secret identity. The Batfam reacts.]
playacting by nex_et_nox - Rated G
“So,” Jim said, “are you one of Wayne’s new kids?” Because only siblings acted that way toward each other, and it seemed like every time Gotham turned around, Bruce Wayne was adopting more kids. It was a reasonable question. “What?” Jay asked. “No, I’m—” He paused. Very slowly, his head tilted as he looked over Jim’s shoulder in the most obvious way he possibly could. Jim Gordon accidentally meets the "newest" member of the Wayne family.
5 times the Justice League catch Bruce acting domestically by TimesBeingWhatTheyAre - Rated G
...and the one time he lets them see it aka 5 times the kids torment Bruce, and the time that he actually arranges a meet-up and minds are blown
the politics of dancing by TheResurrectionist - Not Rated
After months of silence following his mysterious resurrection from the dead, the prodigal Wayne heir shows up at an unlikely meeting. “Where is Mr. Wayne?” Jason crossed his legs, cracking his neck. “He’s not coming.” “I was assured Mr. Wayne would be here.” “Tough. Looks like you’ll have to settle for me, huh?”
I Love My Gay Son(s) by reeby10 - Rated G
But the part that had everyone’s attention was the shirt, a plain white t-shirt with “I LOVE MY GAY SON” emblazoned across the chest in bold, rainbow letters.
Bat Out Of Hell by arguablysomaya - Rated G
Five times the Bats are weird, and one time that weirdness saves the world Or, the Bats are weird, everyone that’s even remotely aware of the superhero game knows this. But, odd as they are, they’re still humans. Which is why it should probably be impossible that they’re such forces of chaos. And when they’re all together? Well, most people are just glad they’re on the good side. And they are. Mostly.
The five times Flash came to Gotham for help and the one time he didn't need to (5+1) by Silver_Athena - Not Rated
Barry needs help solving a murder, he goes to Gotham for help. Though he's looking for Batman he seems to constantly run into new heroes. Why do they all seem connected to Batman? --- “You know where he lives?” “I practically live there myself, why is this so surprising to you? You’ve worked with him for- Oh… oh my God, you guys don’t know!"
A Break in Tradition by incogneat_oh - Not Rated
Gordon had seen something when he caught the canary yellow cape out the corner of his eye– something in the way the kid had moved. So he figures he should ask, “You doing okay up there, son?” AKA: The one where Jim Gordon minds a tiny vigilante until his bigger, scarier partner can collect him.
gotham aviary by pepperfield - Rated G
“I see you have a new addition to the family,” Bella says, smiling at the group pushing their father along toward the plaza stairs. “Yeah, we stole him from his backyard,” Jason tells her brightly.
“average billionaire adopts 1000 children a year” factoid actualy just statistical error. average billionaire adopts 0 children per year. Orphans Bruc, who lives in cave & adopts over 1 child each month, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.
what goes around by Goldmonger - Rated G
A civilian accidentally kills the Joker. It’s a confusing time for everybody.
artemis crock coming to the wrong conclusions by impravidus - Rated G
Nightwing has his hands outstretched, his palms opening and closing exaggeratedly. Red Hood shakes his head. “I am not gonna—” “Just one?” Nightwing interjects sweetly. “Please please please?” “You are such an idiot—” “Just ooone. C’mon, Hood. Don’t these arms look so warm and inviting?” “Inviting for a stab, yeah.” Artemis sees Nightwing being his affectionate (or as Red Hood would put it, extremely annoying) self and comes to the wrong conclusions.

Dig You A Grave
Inspired by @im-totally-not-an-alien-2
Part 6
(warning for language)
The Light was in shambles. Vandal Savage had no idea how all of his carefully laid plans came crashing down around him. Members were being hunted down and arrested. Somehow the Justice League had gotten a hold of their plans and files. Pieces of equipment and various items were gone. Someone or someones had even ratted out the Reach to the Guardians on Oa.
Black Manta had retreated to his underwater base. QueenBee returned her Country to Isolation and prepared for the oncoming political onslaught. Lex Luther was taken but pleaded that he was lied to about what his technology was being used for, the coward. All of them had gone to the wind, to save themselves. Savage could not blame them because he did the same, but being held in this U.N. cell gave him time to think.
He would get out of this and get his revenge on whoever was responsible for this.
___________________
Earlier in the week
Tim was so confused. Something had tripped the alarm in his penthouse and when he arrived, there were stacks of files and documents on his coffee table. Sitting innocently on top was an old Young Justice comm and what looked like a note.
Hello Tim,
I thought you would benefit from these files. Maybe spread a little chaos. Take down a few villains. Who knows.
Sincerely,
Your friend Klarion, the Witch Boy
P.S. Don’t tell anyone it was me.
After reading the note he rushed over to his computer, and pulled up the footage from his camera. Checking the footage and there he was, Klarion and his familiar Teekl, standing in his apartment. He had waved his hand and the mounds of files appeared. He continued watching the tape until well after the Witch Boy had left. He quickly called Oracle, Batman and Zatanna for backup.
It took them hours to go over everything, once Zantanna cleared everything. After the initial surprise of what these documents were, had worn off everything was taken to the Batcave to be examined.
____________
At the emergency meeting Batman had called the next day, nearly everyone had shown up, even John Constantine.
Hal and the other Green Lanterns rushed in, panicked. “We know what happened on December 30th!”
“As do I, now take your seats so we can start.”
“No bats you don’t understand. We just finished talking to the Guardians and they told us about..”
“About The Light syndicate teaming up with the Reach to mind control the Justice League frame us for invading, so the Reach can invade Earth as retaliation, but not break the contract they signed with the Guardians of Oa.”
All members were shocked into silence. It was Guy Gardner who finally broke it. “Well, shit Spooky, is there anything you don’t know?”
“You can debrief us on what the Guardians told you later in the meeting. Now take your seats.”
The next few hours the heroes went over everything. By the time they were finished everyone was exhausted. Constantine stood up to leave like the others but was stopped by Zantanna. “We need to talk to you, and fate.”
“Bloody hell. Can I at least have a smoke break first?”
“Fine but meet us back here in five.”
“Alright.” Constantine shrugged her hand off and went off to enjoy a quick smoke. He thought something or someone was being omitted from the meeting, but now he knew it and whatever it is, is powerful and most likely magic. Fuck. He just finished a tough job and just wanted to crash at home.
____________
Klarion waited for Danny to meet him. The heroes had been busy with rounding up the remaining members of The Light. The press had been filled with all of the underhanded secrets. Politicians were debating on clone rights, and what to do about the Reach. Everything else has basically come to a stand still. He had been free to do as he wished and today he wanted to hang out with his new friend.
It wasn’t long before Danny came running up to him, slightly out of breath.
“Hey, sorry for keeping you waiting.” The blue eyed boy panted as he caught his breath.
“Your apology is accepted since you were only a minute late.” Klarion patted himself on the back for being so cordial. “So what shall we do today?”
“I was thinking of getting something to eat. Before that though. Sam, Tucker and I are going to ‘The Back to School Fest’ Friday. I was wondering if you wanted to join us. It’s not the most exciting but it’s held at the fairgrounds.”
Klarion raised a brow and looked down at Teekl. This didn’t sound all that fun and exciting but he didn’t want to scare off Danny … yet. Giving it another thought Danny had good taste in food so far, so maybe more tasty delights could be in his future. Looking back at Danny Klarion replied. “That sounds doable.”
“Awesome. I usually go to Nasty Burger but a new cafe just opened up near the bookstore. Sam says the selection is great.” (It had taken both Jazz and Sam the better part of an hour to convince Danny to not take Klarion to Nasty Burger right off the bat. If he was Amish, the Nasty Sauce would more than likely put him in a coma. Jazz is pretty sure it is low level toxic but no one listens to her.)
Danny grabs Klarion’s hand and heads off. It was a short walk to the little cafe and to the Witch Boy’s delight the establishment had a cat theme and was pet friendly. They were seated outside, ordering drinks, a few cat themed desserts (Klarion has a major sweet tooth.) and they even had a few tasty looking morsels for Teekl to try.
Opening the pastry box, an all too familiar voice calls out as Danny’s ghost sense goes off. “I am the Box Ghost and I am here for your confection containing cardboard.” Exploding out of the box, sending the food flying and looking down at the occupants of the table the ghost realizes just who was sitting there. “So the rumors are-”
“Why today Boxy?!” Danny growls, as he whips out the Fenton thermos, sucking the cardboard obsessed ghost into it. “Sorry about that. Amity has a bit of a ghost problem but don’t worry they mostly leave people alone. The only real issue is when it involves a ghost's obsession and when that happens Phantom shows up.” Nervous of Klarion’s reaction, he quickly stuck the thermos back in his bag. Taking a breath, he gathered the courage to look at his friend’s (date’s?) face and was shocked to see the gleeful expression.
“Oh this is wonderful. There are just ghosts that pop-up and cause chaos.” Klarion broke out into a fit of giggles. “This is so interesting you must tell me more.” Looking down the young Chaos Lord noticed the destroyed treats. “After we replace our snack.”
Danny was thankful that Klarion was finding all of this amusing. He was worried that the culture shock might send the other boy running. The halfa could build with this foundation. Slowly introducing new foods and technology, and maybe Klarion will start sharing more of himself too.
The afternoon flew by as Danny told Klarion the crazy ghost stories that happened in Amity, with some editing of course. Can’t have a secret identity if you tell people who you are.
____________________________
Klarin had enjoyed his afternoon with his new friend. Seeing another ghost and hearing Danny tell all of those wonderfully chaotic stories, made the Witch Boy curious about Amity. Instead of heading home, he decided to stay and see what mischief he and Teekl could find.
—
The first few hours were very boring for the two. If he didn’t know better he would have assumed that this was just another dull city full of mortals. It wasn’t until after the sunset that things began.
It started with a whistling sound that turned into an explosion, which was shortly followed by shouting. Klarion followed the sounds of battle, hoping to catch a glimpse of Phantom and whomever he was fighting. Maybe even challenge the ghostly hero to a fight, if he was lucky.
Following the battling ghosts path was easy for a Chaos Lord like himself. Deciding to stick to the shadows, Klarion watched on. He watched as a tall, buff ghost with a flaming green mohawk, chased down a ghostly teen. The younger of the two seemed unbothered by the projectiles being thrown at him or the threat of his head being mounted on a wall as a trophy. To Klarion the ghost he assumed to be Phantom, from Danny’s description, actually appeared annoyed and dare he say bored.
It wasn’t long before the self proclaimed greatest hunter was defeated, and was sucked into a thermos, just like the one Danny had. Now that the fight was over Klarion was able to get a good look at the ghost. It was unsettling how much he looked like his new friend, so much so that the Witch Boy decided to follow Phantom.
Still sticking to the shadows, they continued to watch as the ghost made his way around town, as if patrolling. It had gone back to being quiet and boring. Klarion was thinking of calling it and just confronting the ghost, when Phantom quickly ducked into an alleyway. Not wanting to miss anything, the Witch Boy followed.
Phantom had landed and began looking around as if to make sure everything was clear. Fed up with waiting, Klarion stepped out of the shadows but before he could say anything, two rings of light surrounded Phantom, and after a bright flash Danny was standing there.

TUA S4 REWRITE
bcs what the sweet fucking jesus christ was that shitshow
tw: death, end of the world/apocalypse
PREV
Ray left bcs he found out about what Allison did to get her ‘perfect’ timeline (aka working w evil dad to the point where they almost killed her entire family and only switching up, not after finding out he killed Luther but, at the very end; uprooting him from his original timeline, inserting him into Claire’s life by taking away her actual father, etc etc)
E1
Five isn’t CIA
He joins the Keepers bcs he’s him and can sniff out an impending apocalypse like no one else
Lila is the secret CIA agent, hired solely for local cases bcs she’s good enough that she gets to have conditions and she’s keeping the job away from the family, partly for their sake but mostly bcs she needs something that’s just hers beyond the mundanity of normal life
Diego is a PI instead of a mailman bcs he’s still highly skilled and that’s still a normal people job
Luther finds Sloane, only for her to be very different
She’s still sweet and kind but she’s different too, having been raised in a brilliant household in a shitty neighbourhood, harder, in a way
He’d been trying to find her forever and had almost given up when he bumped into her on the street
When he tries to help her, instead of blaming her for the whole thing or swearing, they have their little meet-cute
They get to know each other better, the normal way, and Luther’s just glad that she’s Sloane - he doesn’t expect her to be the exact same bcs he still likes her for who she is, now and then
He’s still living in the same shithole but it’s their shithole (legally speaking, Reginald gave it to him to get the place off his hands) and they’re making it a home
He’s still a dancer bcs there’s nothing wrong with it if he enjoys it and she’s a bartender
When Ben gets out of prison, he knows Sloane will be there (hell, it’s the whole reason he chose Luther as his parole home, bcs that way he gets a version of his sister back bcs the Sparrows, as disjointed as they were, were still a family) but he’s still taken aback
When they find out Viktor’s been taken, Sloane comes with and finds out the Umbrella family secret and Luther has to explain the whole thing to her in Diego’s van (with the other’s (Five’s) input) and it’s batshit but she believes it when she gets her powers bcs yea Ben’s that much of a shit (she’s still confused about being Ben’s alternate sister even tho Ben’s Luther’s alternate brother but wtv yk)
E2 - same
They find Jennifer only for Jean & Gene to take her
E3
Reginald unlocks their memories of og!Ben’s death
Upon finding out about marigold and durango, Five reminds them of other!Reginald’s marigold removal device from the end of existence
If that Reginald could remove marigold with that timeline’s tech, then this Reginald, with Abigail and the whole companies help, should be able to make something to remove the durango from Jennifer’s body
In the meantime, they’d track down Ben to use Viktor to remove the marigold from him to keep Jennifer inert for the time being
Bcs Sloane joined Luther w visiting Reginald, she joins Viktor as backup
E4
As a backup plan, Lila and Five try to see if they can travel back in time to stop og!Ben from dying in order to stop the whole situation from ever happening but get lost (and also realise it’d cause a grandfather paradox bcs if they go back in time to stop the Reginald from killing that Ben and Jennifer, then Jennifer would have never respawned into their world the way she did in order to cause the series of events that led them to go back in the first place)
E5
Five and Lila get stuck for 7 years and stay themselves bcs jesus fucking christ he’s bodily way too young for her but at the same time actually way too old for her, oh yea and he’s her brother-in-law
They don’t stay in strawberryville bcs Lila’s whole thing is that she wasn’t cut out for normal domesticity??
Instead when they drop something off the ledge by accident, they find the book (left by one of the other FIves which they use to figure their way around)
Upon finding the book, flatulence ensues bcs here’s another Five
He leads them to the diner (no one stays long to help mitigate the paradox psychosis) where they find out the timeline’s broken
Bcs the common denominator isn’t the Umbrellas but in fact the powered people (og timeline without Ben, Sparrow timeline w all them, new timeline w Ben and Sloane), the powers themselves had to be problem
He realises the only way to stop the eternal apocalypses is to destroy the marigold and durango
Viktor leans into his powers
Also yea they have landlines but they have mobile phones bcs I say so so he just called them on the way to their location instead of calling and then going
Borrowing Abigail’s violin, he brings the White Violin back and knocks out Ben and Jennifer for long enough to separate them
Viktor siphons the marigold from Ben’s body but they think it didn’t work bcs he’s still obsessive about being with her
Turns out he’s still whipped, that’s just him atp tho lol
E6
Device made, they set it up to remove the durango from Jennifer when Abigail (disguised as Sy (bcs Gene and Jean deserve to see the bullshit through)) leads the Keepers to Hargreaves HQ
Big fight scene as they remove the durango but it’s still volatile bcs of all the people w marigold in them around it but it’s in a secure jar thingy like the marigold originally was
Knowing that the reaction causes the end of the world, Five blinks to the subway with it and leaves it in a dead timeline while the rest of the squad handle the Keepers
Five tells Reginald about the marigold-timeline situation and he takes the marigold from them sans Five and Lila bcs they need to discuss a way to get rid of the marigold bcs in order to remove it from their timeline some needs to blink down and send it away then, once it was away for long enough, the other timelines should break down and everything should go back to normal
Abigail volunteers bcs Reginald’s finally changing but they don’t know how to send her except she took Gene and Jean’s briefcase artifact and fixed it in case he hadn’t learnt his lesson and she needed a redo
It’s bittersweet bcs yea he’s a prick but he really did love her
L: “How do we know if it’s worked?” F: “We don’t.” A: “What, so we live the rest of our lives looking over our shoulder?” F: “Don’t look, then.” L: “How the hell are we supposed to do that?” F: “It's pretty easy, Luther. You just look forward instead.” D: “Seriously, dude?” F: “Seriously. Look, none of us can cause the apocalypse anymore so now we get to live. And I actually get to actually retire, properly this time.”
They use Reginald’s machine to show Sloane Ben’s timeline and Ben the Umbrella’s timeline (especially Klaus’ memories)
They don’t immediately bring in the rest of the Sparrow’s to their insanity bcs that’s just them at this point but they keep an eye out to watch out for them
When they find out the Sparrow’s had memories leaking through of their timeline, they brought them in and shared their memories to get a better picture of their family bcs goddamn it the Sparrows deserves better so yea this time they get parents and families and each other
Klaus is still immortal bcs God and the Devil both don’t want him in their realms bcs he deserves a life where he’s not so afraid of dying that he becomes afraid of living
MISC
No fat-shaming Diego
No bodyshaming Luthor
The chimp serum og!Reggie used to save Luthor only worked bcs it interacted with the marigold in his system
When they got to the new timeline sans their powers, bodily, Luthor went back to normal bcs there was no marigold
Two pathways: either the chimp stuff works its way out of system after those idk 6 years or wtv or it remains and gets reactivated by the marigold
If the latter then Sloane helps him love his body again bcs there’s nothing wrong with being different and she loves him with either body
Personally, I’m sticking w the first one bcs it was never his choice in the first place and I don’t like that it got forced on him again against his will
Jennifer ended up in the giant squid bcs of og!Reg
Basically, in the original timeline, he fed her body to a giant squid bcs that way the durango would never be able to reach the marigold in the kids’ bodies
When the timeline rebooted to the Sparrows, bcs Reggie was doing things differently to the Umbrella timeline on purpose, he handled Jennifer himself, which is why the Jennifer incident never happened in that universe and Ben was still alive
When the timeline rebooted again, the durango basically respawned in the same place, in tiny Jennifer stuck in a giant squid - it was just sheer luck that she got fished out that time but that’s why she never got claimed as a child (bcs she was like the Umbrellas, born in a different timeline but brought into the new one bcs the new universe was made by the marigold in the Umbrellas’ bodies that matched her durango in hers which dragged her through)
When Ben shares Klaus’ memories of og!Ben (bcs og!Ben didn’t get mind wiped, he still remembered og!Jennifer), he learns more about og!her bcs she deserves some closure on her past
og!Ben convinced Klaus to help him by claiming he had a crush on a girl who died but he didn’t know much about so he and Klaus did some research into missing asian girls about their age until they found what they were looking for
Bcs durango is the byproduct of marigold, she was born the day after the Umbrellas, also via immaculate conception - her parents literally referred to her as their little miracle
She really was called Jennifer Grossman (her parents were both Filipino but her dad was adopted, named Simon ‘Sy’ Grossman, and raised in the US - he met her mother when he went back to the Philippines to learn more about his culture, later he brought her over to the US and then Jennifer was born)
She was funny, smart, sarcastic so it wasn’t long till young og!Ben really did have a crush on her but Klaus couldn’t summon her (bcs it’s hard to summon someone from the depths of the ocean and his powers weren’t as strong then either)
She was taken from her home a week before the incident and her parents never stopped looking for her
Sparrow!Ben might have got a closer look into Umbrella!Ben’s mind but he was still himself, if less dickish over time

As Diego sits with Lila in the car, sharing his plan, I always think: My dude, my love - what? This plan is bananas in pajamas coming down the stairs (Yeah, my age blah blah blah).
And then I think about how he's like Number One. He's Number Two. He's backup. He's the understudy. He wants to prove his worth. He wants RH to know he matters. Is this like the heir and the spare? Luther is gonna be king and Diego is just there, stuttering about, needing Mom. I do not say this in jest or sarcasm.

hi! do you have any recs for whump fics featuring klaus from the umbrella academy? i saw him on your list and i trust your taste ♡
(i've read all of knobheed's fics so far on ao3)
I do!! I love Klaus whump. Here's ya go :D
I think we're alone now by nishiki Summary: As Diego finds his brother Klaus on the brink of death in that crappy motel room, he decides that taking care of his brother is more important than saving the world.
the visitation of the ghost by allthempickles Summary: Klaus is going through withdrawal. The apocalypse (and Luther) aren't making it easy.
blue thread (whatever, it's not like you care) by VeryCoolKid69 Summary: in which Klaus relapses and has a few bottles too many. Unfortunately for him, a few too many people care. or, in which Limbo’s a bitch and so is God. (Post season one, but everything turned out fine. No 60s and no Sparrows.)
Ghosts of You(th) by SilvertonguedClotpole Summary: It was a mausoleum, and right now it was probably the best chance they had at hiding from those chasing them. But of course, a mausoleum isn't just a mausoleum to Klaus. It was a hell. And his siblings were about to see a true glimpse of what it was like being Klaus Hargreeves. When they're forced to hide in the cemetery, the siblings get more than they bargained for when they have to fight to remain hidden, and fight to keep their brother from toppling over the edge.
And I'm just gonna plug the ones I've written as well:
One Hand in the Grave, One Hand on My Pulse Summary: "A bang went off and Klaus felt the impact of the bullet in his gut. He gasped and instinctively pressed a hand to his stomach as blood began to bubble up. Eyes wide, he looked into the stunned face of the drug dealer standing several feet away from him. They stared at each other for a moment, both startled by the sound of the gun going off. The dealer panicked and spun around. He tucked the gun into his pants as he ran off into the night, leaving Klaus alone in the dark alleyway."
Operation: Rescue Klaus Summary: What if Diego got Patch’s message just a little bit earlier and makes it to the motel in time to be her backup in s01e04 Man on the Moon? A.K.A., I play around with canon events because I needed Klaus to be rescued by a family member and cared for god dammit!!
Not Alone Summary: Klaus is sick but his siblings think he's either drunk or going through withdrawal and dismiss him. Diego notices something is off with Klaus and learns that Klaus has actually been sober for several months and is actually sick. Ben feels helpless. Diego and Ben take care of Klaus

Kon and Amazon soulmom's(with the background Luther peanut gallery when possible) for wip Wednesday?
“Mr. Luthor, we need to take maternity leave,” Hope says with a sigh, folding her arms.
“I mean, fine, but he’s not a newborn, is that really necessary?” Luthor asks skeptically, raising an eyebrow at Kon, who glowers back on reflex.
“Maternal bonding, sir,” Hope says neutrally. “We need to establish and develop relationships with him.”
“Oh my god, we could just get coffee sometime or something!” Kon protests reflexively, and–not that they even would, he doesn’t want shit to do with them and Mercy already made it plenty clear they don’t want shit to do with him either, and–and it’s whatever, it’s fine, he doesn’t even care. They work for a fucking supervillain anyway, and he knows perfectly well there’s only one way this soulmark is gonna end. “And anyway, who said I even wanted a relationship with you two?!”
The three of them just eye him like he’s stupid or something, then all visibly decide to collectively ignore him and turn back to each other. Kon bristles.
“Just let me text the backup security before you cart your superbrat off for your ‘bonding’ time,” Luthor says as he pulls out his phone with a sigh. “And don't forget to update your emergency contacts, I don't want him breaking into my office if you ever have to stay late for a crisis.”
“Thank you, sir,” Hope says as he types whatever he’s typing into his phone. Kon opens his mouth to yell at all three of the fucking assholes, and she glances towards him. “Well, at least you’re not useless in a fight. And the telekinesis manifests inventively.”
Kon . . . hesitates, and doesn’t know what to say back to that.
“It’s not–that strong, usually,” he replies without meaning to, and it comes out a little stilted. “I mean–like, the range and all.”
“You’re going to have to work on that, he should be stronger than this now that the yellow sunlight’s kicking in,” Luthor says, glancing up from his phone to eye the surrounding disassembled robots critically. “It’s a mental-based power and he should be getting mental enhancements by now. Though the dexterity’s progressing nicely, at least. Looks like he got all the individual screws and wires.”
“I–what the fuck do you know about it?!” Kon demands. Luthor ignores him and goes back to his phone.
“We’ll look into it, sir,” Hope says.

You Can't Go Home Again
Chapter 6
Link to Chapter Five
Link to Chapters 3 and 4
Link to Chapters 1 and 2
Link to Chapter 7
All Five wants to do is rest. But when yet another apocalypse threatens to doom them all, he doesn't have that luxury. This time, the only solution for the Hargreeves to try and save the world is to unite Five with another, alternate version of himself.
Five starts to spiral when he is faced with the alternate life that he could have had, if only he hadn't gone and ruined everything. But maybe, just maybe, there's still time for him to obtain the happy ending he deserves.
An alternate season three rewrite for a request I received.
Warnings: None
More chapters will be posted as I continue writing this multi-chapter fic. Enjoy!
Chapter Six: Running Out Of Time
After another long night, and another painful transfer of powers, the second watch was complete. It wasn’t entirely necessary to build the second one, but it seemed like a good idea for backup, and since both Fives had contributed so much to making them, it only seemed fair that they both had one. This meant that Five and his siblings could return home with relative safety and correct both timelines. Once they were out of the timeline they were in now, with the Sparrows, things should return to how they were before the kugelblitz was activated. In theory, anyway. There was only one problem preventing them from going now.
“What do you mean Klaus is not here?” Five hissed through gritted teeth, leaning into Luther’s personal space and staring menacingly up at him.
“Uh, well…” Luther started, rubbing the back of his neck; clearly intimidated by his much smaller brother. “He said he was getting bored and he wanted to get out of the house.”
“And you just let him go?!”
“I mean, yeah…it’s Klaus! He’s always wandering off, but eventually he comes back.”
“Great!” Five said as he threw his hands in the air and let them drop to his sides again. “Just fantastic!” He turned to Luther again. “You know, as the leader of this family, you really do a piss poor job of actually leading.”
“Hey, don’t yell at him!” Diego interjected. “We can’t all just sit around waiting for your next order. Who do you think you are? Dad?”
Five laughed sarcastically. “Dad may have been a heartless asshole, but at least he knew how to keep you people in line. And now that I know what trying to accomplish that is like, I actually have a little more respect for the old man.”
“Come on, Five, that’s not fair,” Viktor said.
Realizing he probably was being a bit too harsh, Five backed off a little. After taking a deep breath, he spoke very evenly, trying to keep his anger in check. “Ok, let’s regroup here. Now, did Klaus tell anyone where he was going?”
The rest of the siblings exchanged glances that told Five, no, he did not tell them where he was going. As he let out a loud sigh, Jack appeared in the middle of the room with a big smile on his face. He was still very proud of his new blinking skills.
“I know where he went,” the little boy offered.
Five smiled. “Great, Jack. Where?”
“He said something about meeting a girl.”
“A girl?”
Jack blinked to the other side of the room, just to show off. “Yeah…her name is Mary Jane.”
At first there was a second of confusion and then the light bulb went on for everyone at the same time. Five groaned. “Damn it…of course our idiot brother decides to go get stoned when the world is ending.”
“As opposed to drinking himself half to death. Yeah, what an asshole,” Lila snarked with her arms folded across her chest.
Five rolled his eyes. “Fine, point taken. But we need to find Klaus so we can get out of here. I don’t know when the next kugel wave is going to come, but we’re already overdue for one so we probably don’t have much time.”
Luther raised a hand to speak. “Ok, but how are we going to know where to start? How would Klaus even know where to go in this timeline? Everything here is different.”
“It’s Klaus, he’s very resourceful,” Diego said. “I’m sure he’d figure something out…wait! Holy shit, I bet that fucker went back to the hotel.”
Allison frowned. “You think?”
“Yeah, why not? You saw all the weirdos that were there, and that used to be his hangout back in the day. It makes sense.”
“Ok, Diego and I will go find Klaus,” Five told them. “The rest of you stay here. The other me is still working downstairs and I want to make sure someone is here with Marie and the kids if another wave hits.”
“Aw…you do care! I knew it!” Luther gushed with a smile that quickly faded after the glare he received from his brother.
“Of course, I care, idiot. Despite what you all think, I’m not some monster that gets off on watching innocent kids die.”
Jack had blinked out of the room while the adults had been talking, but he suddenly appeared again right when Five was in the middle of his sentence. This time, his sister Maddie was with him. They both looked up at the group with horrified faces.
“We’re going to die?” Jack asked.
Allison jumped in. “No! No no no no…of course not, sweetie.”
“But that’s what you said. We might die.” Jack’s voice trembled and he put a protective hand on his little sister’s shoulder.
Maddie’s eyes started to well up with tears and Five tipped his head back with an exasperated sigh. “Christ.” He turned toward the kids. “Look, no one is dying, ok? At least not if I can help it. And I know your dad would never let that happen, either, ok?”
There was a very small nod from both kids, but it wasn’t very convincing. Five continued, using a much softer voice than his normal brusque one. “I need you both to stay here and be brave, ok? As long as you’re with our family, nothing bad is going to happen. Do you believe me?”
Again, there was a very slight nod, but they still looked terrified. It occurred to Five that maybe their parents had been keeping them in the dark about the severity of the situation. And now he’d gone and screwed that up. Great. Just what I need. More shit to feel guilty about.
“Who wants to play Yahtzee?” Luther asked enthusiastically as he tried to unsuccessfully change the subject. The rest of the adults, as well as the kids, just stared at him with various expressions of bewilderment. His shoulders drooped. “Ok…maybe not the best time.”
Five pinched the bridge of his nose with his fingers. “The plan stands. Diego, you and I are going to the hotel.”
“I’m coming too,” Allison said firmly, standing up with that pose that meant she wasn’t going to take no for an answer.
“Fine,” Five said, just to move things along. “Let’s go then.”
**********************
The outside world was bleak, and getting bleaker by the hour. Each new wave from the kugelblitz brought more destruction to the city and the world around them. The streets were deserted of people, with cars left in the middle of the road after their drivers had evaporated. Buildings were starting to crumble and crack, trees were being uprooted, and the sky was turning all sorts of interesting colors. It looked like Doomsday for sure.
As the three siblings walked along the couple miles to the hotel, Five got lost in his own thoughts again. When they had left, the other Five was still doing a few last minute adjustments to both watches, and Five knew that once those were finished there was no time to waste. He needed to get his family out of there before anything else happened. He had nothing really to base it on except for a strong hunch, but he suspected that he and his siblings, along with anyone else that had powers, were going to be the last to go when the world collapsed in on itself. Which meant this would at least buy his other self and his kids a little more time. He wasn’t sure about Marie, but maybe her proximity to them would be enough.
As Five trudged along with his brother and sister, Diego suddenly spoke up. “Hey, this is like old times. The three of us doing some recon together? Just like with Gerald Jenkins.”
“Harold,” both Five and Allison corrected in unison.
“Whatever,” Diego grumbled, taking out a knife that had been strapped to the outside of his leg and flipping it in the air as he walked. “I’m just saying, this is the good stuff, right here. Us, working together, solving crimes and shit.”
“We’re just trying to find Klaus,” Five mumbled, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
“Well, it’s almost like solving a crime.” Diego was silent for a minute before speaking again, this time quieter. “You know, what you said back at the house…that’s not true.”
Five looked up. “What are you talking about?”
“You said we think you’re a monster. That’s not true.”
Five was silent and then Allison piped up. “He’s right. You’re not a monster, Five. An asshole, maybe, but not a monster. You’re our brother.”
Five didn’t know what to say. He was not used to having to show emotions, let alone express them out loud. The only person he’d ever poured his heart out to was Dolores, so this was definitely new territory. Say thank you or something, idiot! They’re being nice. Be nice back!
“Yeah…” Five cleared his throat. “Ok,” he managed to rasp out, still looking at the ground as he walked. That was all he could get out at the moment, but he hoped they’d be able to read between the lines of those two lame little words. Thank you. Thank you for caring.
No one spoke the rest of the way to the hotel, but Five could see Diego and Allison exchanging glances over his head. He should have brought a flask.
As soon as they entered the lobby of the Hotel Obsidian, something felt off. Which was saying a lot, considering what a weird place it was to begin with. It was quiet. And empty. At first glance there was no sign of Klaus, either.
“Klaus!” Diego yelled out, his voice booming and echoing through the vast lobby.
Right on cue, Klaus’s head popped out from behind a red velvet couch he had been sleeping on. He looked dazed, but otherwise ok.
“Oh, hey guys,” he said airily as he sat up and turned around to face them. “What are you doing here?”
Diego threw his hands in the air. “Jesus Christ, Klaus! What are YOU doing here?”
“Well, you know…I was getting antsy in that house, so I decided to take a little walk.”
“You went to get high,” Five stated flatly.
“Well, there was that, too. But, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, there’s not a lot of people to ask for such products these days.”
The four of them took a look around the lobby again, confirming they were still the only people there.
“What happened?” Allison asked.
Klaus shrugged, standing up and stretching. “Kugel-ed I guess? It was like this when I got here. Except guess who was here? Dad.”
“What? Dad was here?” Diego asked, holding his knife in a way that meant he was ready for an attack.
“Did you talk to him?” Five asked.
Klaus nodded and then laughed. “He said we sucked so bad back in Dallas that he made sure not to adopt us as babies. Then he wanted to recruit me for some experiment or something. Oblivion something. I don’t know, I didn’t understand completely. He said it would save the world and stop the kugelblitz.”
Five looked around nervously, expecting Reginald to come striding around the corner at any moment.
“Don’t worry, he left. Said he’ll be back with the Sparrows, though. But he wanted me to wait here for him.”
“Klaus…” Allison said warily. “You weren’t waiting here for Dad, were you?”
Klaus looked guiltily to the side but when Diego and Five made disappointed groaning noises, he started to plead his case. “Listen, this Reggie is way nicer than our version ever was! And you had to be there, but what he was saying made sense. Dad always told us we were going to save the world. Well, I think this is what he meant.”
Diego stepped close to him, getting in his face and pointing the knife at his chest. “Klaus, I swear to god, you better not be considering listening to that bastard. He tortured us! Don’t you remember how many times he locked you in that mausoleum and left you there?”
“Of course I remember!” Klaus shot back. “But this is not that guy. I told you, he’s a much softer Reginald.”
Five sighed heavily. “Fuck, Klaus…we don’t have time for whatever Daddy issues you’re trying to work out here. Reginald is a conniving bastard in any timeline and we need to go!”
“But what if he’s right? What if you’re wrong and Dad is right?”
“Klaus, you can’t possibly think that, can you?” Allison asked in a slightly gentler voice than her brothers’. “Think about it. Are you really going to trust him over Five?”
“Dad has never done shit for us. But at least Five has tried. And he’s trying again, so you need to trust him.” Diego added, still in Klaus’s face.
Five’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. He hadn’t really thought about the fact that his siblings may actually trust him. Not after what happened the last two times. He assumed they were just going along with whatever he said because they had no other choice. But now they did have a choice. And it seemed they were choosing him.
No one spoke for a minute while Klaus’s eyes darted from Five to Allison, and then back to Diego. He let out a long sigh and his shoulders dropped forward.
“You’re right. I’m sorry.” He turned to Five. “You really think you and the other, hotter you, can get us back?”
“I do,” Five said with a nod. “But we have to leave. Now.”
As Diego backed off, Klaus nodded. “Alright, then. Lead the way, Cinco.”
As the four of them left out the revolving door, getting stuck only once, Klaus took one last look back at the hotel before moving on.
Diego noticed. “So, what exactly did Dad say to you to try and convince you?”
Klaus looked up with a sad smile. “He said I was truly exceptional and would be a great asset to him. Which, I realize isn’t a big deal under normal circumstances, but it was coming from Dad. Can you even think of a time when he complimented any of us?”
“Yeah, I guess I see your point,” Diego answered with shake of his head. “Damn, he really fucked us all up if that’s the biggest compliment he’s ever given his own kids.”
Five nodded as he walked quickly along. “The man is diabolical, there’s no doubt about that.” He turned to Klaus, uncharacteristically sincere. “I’m sorry you had to speak with him, I know that wasn’t easy. Thank you for trusting me.”
Klaus grinned and clapped his smaller brother on his shoulder, earning him a glare and a swat at his hand. “Hey, if anyone can get us out of here and back home, it’s you my little brosef. And might I add, I cannot wait until you are the same age as that other you, because damn…you are one smoking piece of a—”
The other three siblings groaned, cutting him off, and Five looked up at Klaus with a disgusted look on his face. “Please. Never say that again.”
“Yeah, dude, that’s pretty weird. He’s your brother,” Diego said. Then he looked at Allison. “No offense.”
She rolled her eyes but then she laughed and shrugged. “God, we are a weird fucking family.”
“That’s for damn sure,” Five muttered.
*********************************
As the small group of siblings continued down the street, another pulsing wave rushed over them and their surroundings. More buildings started to fall and giant cracks were forming in the pavement of the streets. It had been gradual, but they noticed the sky was starting to turn black with dark clouds and flashes of orange light. Allison jumped out of the way as a falling brick nearly bashed her in the head.
“Fuck,” Five exhaled. “We have to go.”
Allison brushed off the concrete dust that had fallen on her shoulder. “What if that wave just took out everyone else at the house?”
Five nodded nervously. “I’m a little concerned about that myself.” He glanced around at the other three. “We need to get there fast.”
Diego moaned when he realized what Five meant. “Oh…not again! You know I’m going to get sick, right?”
“It doesn’t matter, we’re running out of time.” Yanking Klaus closer by his wrist, and holding Allison’s hand with his other, Five gave a pointed look toward Diego.
Groaning again, Diego reluctantly grabbed onto Klaus’s arm. “I really hate this—,” he started to say before being swept up in one of Five’s blinks.
As soon as they were dropped out of the portal into the middle of the living room at the house, Diego lurched forward, holding his stomach.
“Oh god, out of the way!” he warned as he went sprinting to the bathroom.
Lila looked after him with a small shake of her head. “Giant baby.”
The other three looked around, silently counting all of the bodies in the room. It appeared that no one was missing. Even the other Five, Marie, and the kids were there. Everyone was safe. For now, at least.
“Klaus!” Viktor cried with a smile. “Oh, I’m so happy they found you.”
With a quiet laugh, Klaus flapped a hand at him. “You know me, I always come back. Like a stray cat.”
“So, you were at the hotel?” Luther asked.
Klaus nodded, but before he could explain himself, Five interjected. “Yes, he was. And he met Dad, who is definitely up to something nefarious. It’s just another reason we need to get out of here as quickly as possible. If we can restore this timeline back to normal, hopefully Reggie won’t be able to carry out whatever he has planned.”
The other Five, who had been standing with an arm around his wife’s waist, was listening intently. At the mention of Reginald’s name, he instantly tensed.
“What was he planning?” he asked Klaus; his jaw already set in anger.
“I’m not sure, but he said he needed me and the Sparrows to carry it out.” Klaus swallowed hard and looked over at Five and Allison. “Actually, he didn’t just say he needed me. He said he needed all of us. Something to do with needing as many of our powers as possible.”
Allison put a hand on her hip. “Klaus, what the hell? Why didn’t you tell us that?”
He shrugged. “I don’t know! I didn’t want you to get all weird and I figured it didn’t matter anyway. We weren’t staying.”
“I knew it,” the older-looking Five said, stepping away from his wife and balling his hands into fists at his side. “I’ve known that bastard has been up to something for years, and here’s the proof.” He looked down at his kids who were understandably worried and crowded in next to their mother. “I’ll be goddamned if I let that bastard get a hold of me or my kids.” He scanned the rest of the faces in the room. “Or any of you, for that matter. He needs to be stopped.”
Five shook his head. “It won’t matter once we can get out of here. Things will return to normal.”
Just as he said that, another wave ripped through the house and reversed itself, leaving everyone with a strange tingling feeling throughout their bodies. The kids screamed, but when the wave passed, everyone was still accounted for and the house was still standing. Outside, a large tree cracked in half and fell across the small front lawn. In the distance, more rumblings of falling buildings and cracking concrete could be heard. An eerie, orange glow seeped through the windows.
“Go get the watches,” Five told his doppelganger. “We have to go.”
The other Five hesitated. Determination and anger were written all over his face and he seemed to not even hear Five. He was lost in his own head.
“Five!” Marie said loudly, snapping him out of his thoughts. “Go! Hurry!”
He turned to her, his eyes filling with tears. “Right.” Then he took her chin in his hand and kissed her softly with a smile before bending down to hug and kiss each one of his kids. “I love you all.” Before his confused wife could respond, he was gone in a blast of blue light.
“That was weird,” Luther said under his breath to Viktor, who nodded in agreement.
“Diego!” Lila yelled out. “Are you still alive?”
“Yeah,” came his weak voice from the bathroom. “Barely.”
“Well, chuck it all up and get on with it! We gotta go!”
Five looked around nervously. Something was wrong, he could feel it. And the way his other self just acted was not sitting well with him.
“Shit,” he said to himself. Then he looked up at Marie. “I think he’s gone.”
“What do you mean he’s gone?” she asked with wide eyes.
“Come on!”
Five hurried toward the basement steps, with Marie and Klaus right behind him. When they got to the bottom of the stairs, Five saw what he was afraid of. No other Five. And only one watch on the table.
“Shit,” he groaned again.
“Oh my god,” Marie whispered as tears started to form in her eyes. “Why would he leave us like this?”
Five walked over to the desk where he had found the file folder containing the other Five’s collection of Reggie-related things. He opened the drawer and pulled the folder out, holding it up for Marie to see.
“Do you know about this?”
She shook her head. “No, what is it?”
“He’s been tracking Reginald for years. I wasn’t sure why before, but the fact that he kept it a secret from you, and his reaction just now to what Klaus told him, tells me that it’s not anything good. The watch is missing, too.” He ran a hand through his hair and exhaled a long breath. “Fuck…I think I know where he went.”
“How do you know?” Klaus asked.
“Because he’s a version of me, remember?”
Marie wiped at the tears on her face as Klaus put an arm around her shoulder. “The whole world is falling apart and he just left us? I can’t believe he would do that. I can’t…you have to get him back…I need him here. I just…please…” she cried while covering her face with her hands.
“I have the other watch and I’ll bring him back. I promise,” Five told her; his voice gentle but firm.
“I’m coming with you,” Klaus said. Five opened his mouth to argue and Klaus held up a hand. “Don’t even try arguing, old man. I’m not letting you go by yourself.”
Five thought about telling him no, but decided it would take up too much precious time. They needed to find the other Five and bring him back to his family. So, he just nodded at his brother and grabbed the other watch off the table. He strapped it to his wrist and held it up to start setting the coordinates of where he was 99% sure his other self had gone.
“So, where are we going, anyway?” Klaus asked, as he gently let Marie go and put a hand on Five’s shoulder so he could be transported along with him.
Five looked up at Klaus with a worried face. “The Academy. November 11, 2002.”
********************************
Five had been troubled by his other self’s obsession with their father, but only from the standpoint that he knew it wasn’t healthy. He understood being angry and resentful towards Reggie; that was a given. All of his kids had some lasting trauma from him. Even the stupid Sparrows probably didn’t have much love for the man. But Five had decades alone to work through his anger, whereas this version of himself had been carrying it around with him ever since he had been thrown out onto the street as a kid. It was understandable that he had a big chip on his shoulder.
But Five could see now that this obsession had reached a new level as soon as Klaus told him about Reggie needing their powers. Of course he was going to be protective of his kids, Five certainly understood that. They weren’t even his kids, but he still felt a strong connection to them. So, just the thought of Reggie trying to harm them in any way was the push his other self had needed to make him take action. Even if that meant leaving his family and placing himself in danger in order to protect them all.
Five had hoped he had set the watch correctly, because the last thing he needed was another show down with the Sparrows, even if they were only kids. So, when he and Klaus appeared in the basement of the Academy, he was relieved to see he’d calculated it correctly. They were alone, as predicted, with the everyone in the house presumably at the dinner table.
“Wow, this is weird,” Klaus said, looking around at the familiar surroundings. “It looks the same.”
Five was already on the move, creeping quietly to the stairs. When he realized Klaus wasn’t following him, he loudly whispered, “Klaus! Come on!”
“Right,” his brother said, hurrying to catch up with him. “So what’s the plan?”
“We need to get upstairs without being seen, first of all. Then, we need to find my other self before he does something stupid.”
“Are you sure he’s even here?”
Five shrugged as he made his way up the stairs. “No, I’m not. But stick close to me in case we need to jump out of here fast, ok?”
With a nod, Klaus crept in closer to Five, stepping on his heel and bumping into the back of him, almost knocking him over. Five stopped and turned around with his usual irksome glare at his sibling. “Not that close.”
“Sorry,” Klaus said with a guilty smile.
As they arrived on the main level, Five held a hand out behind him to stop Klaus until he did a quick surveillance of the area. They were in the main foyer area, with the doors to the living room closed. Five could smell their mother’s cooking again, so he knew they must be at the dining table. That feeling of regret and shame started to wash over him again. They may have been in a completely different timeline, but the day and time were the same, and it was one Five would never forget.
“Now what?” Klaus whispered.
Five was about to answer when they heard a small shuffling noise nearby. Five motioned to Klaus to follow him, making his way down one of the hallways. It was dimly lit, just like everything else in the house, but they could clearly make out a figure sitting on the floor against one of the walls.
As they approached, the figure of the other Five became clearer. He was hunched on the ground, his back against the wall, knees drawn to his chest, and arms folded across the top of them. His forehead was resting on his forearms with his eyes closed. In the hand that was closest to Five and Klaus was a pistol.
Five hesitated. He recognized the gun as Reginald’s that was kept in one of the chests near the front door. It was always kept loaded inside the drawer, for emergencies, or at least that’s what Pogo had told the children. It had never occurred to their father to be concerned for the safety of small children in the home with easy access to a loaded weapon.
“Shit,” Five whispered under his breath, glancing quickly at Klaus with a worried expression.
Five and Klaus quietly made their way closer to the Five on the floor. He seemed smaller than normal, like a child, with the way he was huddled up and curling in on himself. Five worried about the gun, and he didn’t want to make any loud or sudden movements.
When the two brothers came within a few feet of the other Five, he must have sensed their presence. With his head bolting up, the pistol was immediately aimed at their heads. The older-looking Five kept his finger on the trigger, his eyes wide and manic. Five and Klaus both froze in place and when the other Five recognized them, his eyes clouded with confusion.
He kept the gun aimed at them, but he had moved his finger off the trigger. “What are you doing here?” he hissed, trying to keep his voice down.
“Stopping you from making a big mistake,” Five whispered. “Get up off the floor and let’s go.”
His other self shook his head slowly and then looked in the direction of the front door. “He needs to be stopped. So he can’t hurt anyone anymore.”
Five swallowed. He tried to imagine himself doing this exact same thing if their past paths hadn’t deviated so drastically from one another. But Five had worked so hard for so long to get back to his family that he had a hard time imagining abandoning them in order to exact revenge on their father. But yet, that was him on the floor looking deranged and pointing a gun at him and Klaus, so it must be what he would have done.
“Five, listen…” Klaus started. “I know how you feel. Believe me, if anyone has envisioned blasting a bullet through dear old Dad’s monocle, it’s me. But after a while…it just doesn’t matter anymore.”
“He’s right,” Five said. “I wish I could change so many things from my past, but we just can’t. What has happened has happened. You can kill Reggie, but it’s not going to make you feel any better.”
The other Five laughed. “I’m quite certain I would feel loads better knowing that shit head isn’t going to be out there, torturing other kids, and ruining their lives.”
Five looked incredulous at that statement. “Ruining their lives? Your life was anything but ruined, you absolute shit-for-brains! Do you realize what you have? What most people would do to have your life? What I would do?”
His other self didn’t say anything, but he lowered the gun. His eyes remained dark and angry and he swallowed hard, looking away from the other two.
“From the looks of it, I think you already know that, don’t you?” Klaus asked softly. “Because if you were going to go through with it, you wouldn’t be sitting here looking all sad and pathetic.”
The other Five glared up at Klaus. “Maybe I hesitated, that’s true. But there’s still time.”
Five looked up and shook his head before looking back down at his other self. “Fuck…that’s the thing! There’s always time! We have infinite time at our disposal; we always have. But nothing we do is going to change what happened to us.”
“I don’t care,” the other Five snarled.
Five sighed. “Alright, how about this? What if killing Reginald right now, today, alters the world? We know the butterfly effect can do some crazy ass things, so let’s say you blow him away today and you feel better about yourself. But then you return home to find out your wife isn’t your wife and your kids never existed. What then?”
His other self looked away again, gripping and re-gripping the pistol in his hand nervously. “I don’t know.”
“But it’s entirely possible and you know it. That’s why you’re sitting here in the dark instead of doing what you set out to do.” He crossed his arms over his chest. “What do you think Marie would say about you being here? Do you think she’d be proud to hear you killed him?”
“Don’t talk about my wife! You know nothing about her…or me!”
“You’re right, I don’t know her. But I do know she’s at home in tears because she thinks you left her and your kids when the world is ending. And as for me not knowing you? I know you all too well, unfortunately. I know the way your mind works and how you operate. I know how every little thing that you have screwed up in your life eats at you until you feel like you want to crawl out of your skin. Why do you think I’m a fall down drunk half the time? For fun? No, because I want to forget every shitty thing that’s ever happened to me. I want to erase it from my mind. But all I’ve managed to do is alienate my family and become a cynical, jaded old man.”
“That’s all true,” Klaus pointed out, helpfully.
After an identical annoyed look at Klaus, both Fives faced each other again. “But he has tortured so many of us over so many timelines. He needs to be stopped,” the other Five said without as much conviction behind his words as before.
Five shook his head. “No, he doesn’t. Reginald will always be Reginald no matter what. You can destroy this one and another one will pop up again somewhere else. That’s just how it works.” He took another step closer to his other self. “Remember your first kill for the Academy? When we were eleven?”
The other Five nodded slowly. “Yeah…I remember. Snapped that guy’s neck.”
“And we had nightmares about him for weeks.”
“Yeah, and then we killed a few more, and it wasn’t as bad. What’s your point?”
“After you left the Academy, you’ve never had to kill again. And that’s because no one was forcing you into it for your own survival.” Five let out a long exhale and raked his hand through his hair. “You don’t want to do this. Because once you start killing again, you’re going to be that same, messed up eleven year-old kid again. That part never goes away, no matter how many lives you take. So, do yourself a favor. Be grateful for once in your goddamn life and go home. Go home to your family and your house, your parents that loved you, your career that you’re proud of. Don’t waste it all because of one asshole in the world that called himself our father at one point in our lives. Don’t let him define who you are.”
Neither Five said anything for a moment, and then Klaus tapped Five on the shoulder and whispered nervously to him, “I think we need to go. Listen.”
The sound of footsteps and voices started to get closer to the hallway they had been hiding in. They could make out the familiar sound of Ben’s voice and then the ominous caw of a crow.
“Shit,” Five mumbled before holding out his hand to his other self. “Come on, fuck wad, if you’re coming, we have to go. Now!”
After a few more tense seconds of the voices and bird noises growing closer, and Klaus becoming visibly agitated, the other Five grabbed Five’s hand and let him pull him off the ground. Klaus clasped onto his brother’s shoulder and the three of them were gone in a popping flash of light.

New Comics Time!
And it's a long one this week. Lots of comics. I might poke my head in Harley Quinn or Powergirl later for completion/curiosity purposes but I wanted to talk about a lot of these now :)
Detective Comics #1090 - The flashbacks in this issue are far more interesting in my opinion that the present day which is like 'oh no, another serial killer!' While I do think that it's hilarious that Taylor is having it so Thomas Wayne saved Joe Chill's life back in the day (A plot point that would be right at home in Batman: Year Two where Bruce is busy agonizing over the fact that he's planning to kill Joe Chill with the same that killed his parents), I still can't help but be intrigued by the themes of unseen consequences of well-intended actions that he seems to be setting up. Between Thomas saving Joe Chills life, and the fact that I can't help but get shady vibes from Scarlett Martha Scott's anti-aging stuff and offer to Bruce, I'm interested is seeing where this goes
Art-wise, previously, Mikel Janin's art has always had this too-smooth feel to it that made me think of cgi or cell-shading and it just didn't work for me. This time, with him doing his own colors, there's still some of that smoothness, but he's also some texture to it that has vastly improved my enjoyment. We really are in the middle of an age of these bright, technicolor comics and I really like it.
Action Comics #1072 - I do appreciate the flashback we got to explain Mon-El this issue as someone who is not familiar with Superman lore. Kon and Kenan continue to be fun while the adventure in the Phantom Zone continues. For the backup, I continue to really love the art--especially the environment this issue. Plot wise, my curiosity about the prisoner and the nature of Kara's mission is building. I'm a little worried that the tension is getting build up too much and when we finally do get answer's it'll be a disappointment, but we shall just have to see.
Green Arrow #17 - Most of this issue is taken up by cleaning up the last of the double-agent Green Arrow plotline that I largely did not read. I did enjoy the start of Condon's run though. I liked the atmosphere it was setting up and the sniping between Ollie and Batman was very enjoyable. I am interested in seeing more of this new costume. The mask makes him look younger.
Superman #19 - Okay, the moment where both Clark and Lois ducked into the same broom closet to go out and save the day? That was cute. I think my main take-away from this issue was that I really don't know a lot of the current Superman status quo because, like, Lois Lane as the Planet's Editor in Chief? The whole Supercorp thing? Luther's amnesia. I've got nothing on any of it. Part of being a comics fan is rolling with the punches though. I'll probably keep seeing where this story goes, but I think it's also getting prone to being dropped as I wander off.
Absolute Wonder Woman #1 - This was so good. I admit, that was I was doubtful when I first heard the announcement because, I've found in my experience that Kelly Thompson writes fun comics but ones that don't necessarily grab me. I think this best thing of her's I've read, honestly. Diana as an exile! I am also obsessed with Circe being the one to raise her. "How you fall in love with a child is by raising it." It's hitting the same beats for as one of the best parts of the Messner-Loebs run which was Circe as Donna Milton and how she found herself getting drawn into Diana's orbit. The things you do, the people you surround yourself with. That matters for your character. I just loved seeing that redemption there for her.
I love what this is setting up in terms of Diana setting out to try and find who she is and what was hidden from her. There is this mission that is tying her to an origin and people she's never gotten the chance to know. It leaves me really hoping that we get to see her reunited with the Amazons at some point.
The art was also gorgeous. Bellaire's colors were knocking it out of the park as always. Those long horizontal panels I really like, but I did leave wishing I could read this on paper. I am just a little tempted to go out and start getting this in floppy form and we shall see, but also, I am spending this money of dcu infinite and trying to not buy a ton of comics weekly on top of that so I'll probably try to just hold out for the trade instead.
The Flash #14 - This is looking like it's going to be such a fun story arc. Vacation to Skartaris!--I am not the Warlord fan, but it still brings me joy. Not sure if I'm really feeling the artist for this, but the lettering continues to be top notch for this series.
Nightwing #119 - I am a fan of this creepy puppet-master type villain it looks like we're going to get. Fun archetype. I do like the setup we're getting here and the DickBabs banter is top notch. (As a side note, while I know Barbara isn't back to all of her post-crisis glory, I really do appreciate Oracle popping up everywhere in comics again especially coming from the new52). Interested in seeing where it goes!
Green Lantern: Dark #1 - Another comic I checked out because I could, and unlike the werewolf Batman one, I think this one's going to be a keepr. The fantasy vibe that this had was very fun. I like how it played with stories. I also really liked the art. It had this very nice sketchy feel to it.
The Question: All Along the Watchtower #1 - I really liked the opening sequence--that spread of the watchtower? Beautiful. That being said, there was a lot of set-up in this issue. It felt like most of the time was spent having Renee follow Wonder Woman around and have stuff explained to her. This is a new setting and this is also a lot of the introduction to the Watchtower that we're getting prior to Justice League: Unlimited #1 afaik, but I also can't help but feel that there could've been a more efficient way of getting this information across. Say, a map, or a casefile, or even Renee explaining it to the reader rather than having everything explained to her. I think what I really wanted was Renee taking more of a lead, and I hope that we do get that next issue now that all the set-up's out of the way.
All of that being said, the supporting cast is shaping up to be very fun. I was admittedly, holding out for the Huntress, but I will not complain about the Blue Beetles + Batwoman! I am looking forward to seeing how that team unfolds. Art-wise, I don't think I really have much to say, but I did really like the text-boxes that the robot guy had. Nice touch right there.

A Hargreeves Christmas Chaos
Five Hargreeves x reader
A/N: Christmas is coming soon and I really wanted to post a little Christmas one shot. So here he is
Warnings: none
“Santa’s real job is keeping an eye on this family,” Y/n thought as she stepped into the Hargreeves mansion, her arms laden with festively wrapped gifts. She could hear the chaos before she even saw it: Klaus’s raucous laughter, Luther’s booming voice, and the unmistakable sound of something breaking. The mansion was decked out in holiday splendor, though the decorations were as mismatched and chaotic as the family itself. Twinkling lights blinked erratically, a lopsided tree leaned dangerously, and various holiday trinkets cluttered every surface.
Five was in the center of it all, trying to direct the holiday chaos with the precision of a military commander and the frustration of a man herding cats. He spotted Y/n and immediately rushed over, his face a mix of relief and exhaustion.
“Y/n! Thank God you’re here,” he said, planting a quick kiss on her cheek. “I could use some backup.”
“What’s going on?” she asked, setting down the gifts. “I thought Christmas was supposed to be a time of peace and joy.”
Five let out a huff. “Not in this family. We’ve got a Christmas disaster in every room.”
Before Y/n could respond, Klaus bounded over, wearing a Santa hat tilted jauntily over one eye. “Y/n! You’ve got to try my eggnog!” he exclaimed, thrusting a suspiciously green cup toward her.
“Why is it green?” Y/n asked, raising an eyebrow.
“It’s my secret recipe,” Klaus replied with a wink. “Guaranteed to bring out the holiday spirit—or at least make you see some spirits.”
Y/n handed the cup back to Klaus. “I think I’ll pass.”
“Five!” Luther’s voice boomed from the kitchen. “We have a situation in here!”
Five groaned. “What now?”
Luther appeared, his face smudged with flour. “The oven’s on fire,” he said nonchalantly. “We might need to call the fire department.”
Five pinched the bridge of his nose. “Why is the oven on fire?”
“Diego was trying to make a turkey,” Luther explained, shrugging. “It didn’t go well.”
“I told him to stick to mashed potatoes,” Five muttered, hurrying toward the kitchen with Y/n following close behind.
In the kitchen, the scene was pure chaos. Smoke billowed from the oven, and Diego stood nearby, fanning the air with a dish towel. “It’s fine! I’ve got it under control,” he said, though his face said otherwise.
Y/n grabbed a fire extinguisher from under the sink and handed it to Five, who efficiently put out the flames. Diego grinned sheepishly. “Okay, maybe not completely under control.”
“Let’s just stick to takeout,” Five suggested, tossing the fire extinguisher aside.
Before they could escape the kitchen, Allison rushed in, looking panicked. “I can’t find the Christmas star!” she exclaimed. “I put it somewhere safe, and now I can’t remember where!”
“It’s in the garage,” Viktor called from the hallway, holding up a piece of garland as if it were a trophy. “I saw it when I was looking for more decorations.”
“Why was it in the garage?” Allison asked, bewildered.
“No idea,” Viktor replied with a shrug. “But it’s there.”
“Can someone help me with these lights?” Ben’s voice came from the living room. “They’re tangled, and I’m about to lose it.”
Y/n followed Five into the living room, where Ben was wrestling with a snarled mess of Christmas lights. “I swear these things have a mind of their own,” Ben grumbled.
Y/n crouched down beside him and started untangling the lights. “Don’t worry, we’ll get it sorted out,” she said, though the lights seemed determined to prove her wrong.
“What’s the matter, Ben? Lights giving you trouble?” Klaus teased, plopping down on the couch with a plate of cookies.
“Nothing I can’t handle,” Ben retorted, though his expression suggested otherwise.
As the evening wore on, the Hargreeves managed to salvage their Christmas celebration. They ordered takeout to replace the charred turkey, found the Christmas star (and managed to put it on the tree without any further disasters), and untangled the lights enough to decorate the tree.
Finally, they all gathered in the living room, exhausted but in good spirits. The tree sparkled with mismatched lights, and the room was filled with the warm glow of holiday cheer. Five sat beside Y/n on the couch, his arm around her shoulders. “Thanks for the help,” he said softly. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Y/n smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. “Probably end up with the fire department on speed dial,” she teased.
Five chuckled, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Merry Christmas, Y/n.”
“Merry Christmas, Five,” she replied, snuggling closer to him.
Across the room, Klaus raised his green eggnog in a toast. “To surviving another Hargreeves Christmas!” he declared, and the family cheered.
As the night wore on, the Hargreeves shared stories, laughter, and the warmth of family. Despite the chaos and the disasters, they were together, and that was what mattered most. Five and Y/n exchanged a knowing look, their hearts full. It wasn’t a perfect Christmas, but it was theirs, and that made it perfect in its own chaotic, Hargreeves way.

Hey, so it’s ok if you can’t because you’re not too into the character but I’m like desperate for some Luther (tua) content. Could you maybe do like some what would it be like dating head canons or something? It could be like they both work at a club and she just bar tends or is the manager or something. Sorry if this is a bit rambly, as I said I am in need of any form of Luther content.<3
Hi! Honestly, it’s fine I don’t mind doing him that much 🫶
—————————
Club manager fem!reader x Employee!Luther hcs
Luther might look intimidating, but he’s a total softie around you, often surprising you with sweet gestures
At first, he’d be a bit awkward, stumbling over words or overthinking every interaction, afraid of messing things up
Even though you’re his manager, he takes his job very seriously, and he respects you so much in a professional setting
Luther has a strong work ethic and often takes care of things before you even ask, like staying late to make sure everything’s set for the next day
He’d be devoted to you, the type of guy who would stand by you no matter what, always in your corner
His hugs are warm and secure, and he’s likely the kind to pull you into a hug anytime he senses you’re stressed
Expect a lot of cheesy compliments and nervous chuckles when he tries to flirt
After a shift, he’d suggest grabbing a late-night meal together, finding it comforting to debrief after a long day with you.
Luther insists on walking you to your car or waiting with you until your ride arrives
He’s not overly pushy and respects your boundaries, sometimes to a fault—he needs you to make the first move sometimes
He remembers everything you say and uses it to make your life easier, like bringing you coffee just the way you like it.
Luther constantly reassures you of your capabilities and celebrates every accomplishment, no matter how small
If the club is empty, he might pull you into a slow dance to whatever song is playing
He’s often caught just gazing at you when you’re focused on work, totally entranced
If anyone at the club gives you trouble, Luther’s always close by, offering backup and ready to handle any situation.
Little touches, like his hand on your lower back as he leads you through a crowd, are his way of showing he cares
His idea of romance includes fixing things for you, running errands, and showing up when you need him most
He’s got a classic gentleman side, like holding doors and offering his jacket if you’re cold
His love language might lean toward acts of service, helping with tasks or supporting you however he can
He can actually be really funny when he’s comfortable, and he loves making you laugh
Even during a hectic night at the club, he’s calm, collected, and reassuring
Luther would randomly surprise you with snacks when you’re both working late
On days off, he’s all for staying in and watching movies with you, preferably action or sci-fi
He’d give you shy but heartfelt compliments, catching you off guard with how genuine he is
Working together at the club, you’ve got this unspoken connection where you help each other without even needing to ask
When he’s not with you, he sends little check-in texts or pictures of things that remind him of you
He treats the club staff with genuine kindness, gaining their respect and showing his true character
He might surprise you with flowers or take you on simple dates that feel sweetly vintage
Luther’s aware of the potential chaos in a club and sticks close to you, keeping an eye out
If he ever makes a mistake or upsets you, his apologies are immediate and heartfelt
Though he’s fine with the club’s hustle, he appreciates quiet moments together
You may not notice, but he’s often subtly guarding you in social situations
Once he’s committed, his loyalty is unmatched—he’s got your back no matter what
During late nights at the club or in the quiet hours afterward, he’d open up about his dreams and fears

Prompt: “Breathe for me, Benji, please!”
This wasn't happening.
This wasn't the plan, this wasn't supposed to happen, this—
He presses on the wound harder, closing his eyes when he hears the shriek of pain leave his friend's mouth.
"It hurts, Ethan," Benji chokes out, eyes wild and filled with hot tears, "it hurts so fucking bad, stop touching it, I'm begging you, please, please—"
"I can't, I need to stop the bleeding as much as possible," he replies in the least worried tone he can manage, "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, it's going to be okay, please, hey, stay with me."
"Hurts," the other man softly whines, sniffling loudly as his hands came on top of Ethan's carmine with blood, shaking hysterically, "I can't do it, I can't, I'm so sorry, I can't—"
"No, no you can and you will," Ethan worriedly says as his eyes glance up to fall on Benji's, seeing his lids halfway closed, "no, hey, Benji. Benj, stay with me, stay w—"
He feels the hands sleep from his.
"No, no, NO !" he yells desperately, looking around like a maniac, where the fuck were Luther and Brandt, where the fuck was backup, where the fuck—"Benji, Benji stay with me, breathe, Benji breathe for me, PLEASE !"
He knows at least two of his friend's ribs are broken, so he does not even think about starting chess compression.
"Please breathe, stay with me, Benj, Benj—" he implores, moving to cradle his face as he leans down and pinches his nose between his thumb and index, "please, please don't leave me, I love you, I love you Benji."
This isn't how he imagined their first kiss would go.
