#iiiiii dont know what kind of emotion i was trying to convey with this. i wanted to do a character exploration with my pmd hero and partner#which got away from me a little. i hc the hero has complicated emotions around their past which they dont remember#and i get the sense it leans into growing up without a childhood bc you dedicate your entire life trying to save the world#so now that they finally have a second chance to grow up properly they wanna take their time yk?? and yeah ik evolution =/= maturity#i remember seeing a post about an elderly treecko from pokeani speculating you could grow really old without ever evolving#but in human terms of maturity. even though you cant remember anything about being human it conflicts with what you know#and its probably just a gimmick when partner just tells me what we're supposed to do next every time i talk to them bc it#progresses the story but i also like thinking they want to grow up so badly and do everything all at once#compared to hero who knows what its like to grow up before youre an adult and wants to slow down#im repeating myself a lot here but i swear its smth ive feltmany times over and never found a good answer to. or what i would tell someone#i didnt base neptunes flowers on anything specifically but i looked into flower symbolism and it seems buttercups represent childhood#marmalade's flower crown is meant to be periwinkles which symbolize sincere friendship and unbreakable bonds#i love themb ;__;#my art#myart#comics#doodles#pmd#pokemon mystery dungeon#pmd ocs#pmd2#neptune#marmalade#team satellite#pokemon#eye contact#scopo#sort of?

Gee, I wonder why Sanji, the guy who was told by his family he should "just leave" for being weak when he was a kid, got so upset when Luffy was about to tell Usopp, who was clearly feeling insecure for being the "weak" one of the group, to "just leave".

#Pokemon#PKMN#fakemon#PKMN oc#Eevee#eeveelution#PKMN Eeon#fizzles draws#most of the biggest complaints i got about their previous design was that. eeon was not the right name for it#a lot of 'it should have been called eeveeon'#but that misses the storybeat of it spending so long from people that it evolved on its own! it spent an eon alone#and a lot of ''level 50 is too long to train an eevee without it evolving it should evolve at a lower level''#like. yes. thats the point#its supposed to be difficult to obtain because EVERYTHING makes pokemon gain friendship. walking feeding healing winning battles#you'd have to go out of your way to make sure its friendship is so low to that it doesn't evolve into something else#and it could be remedied by starting it higher than level 30 in the wild perhaps in a specific area#dedicated to wild 'feral' eevee#i dunno. i love eeon. i hated her for a while but it wasnt her fault

LOL#uh wow my style really evolved since i last drew them i feel#well not midori because i drew him again very recently#but at least im finally happy with how i stylize his stupid fucking hair#i wanted to use a sort of odd colour palette to give this drawing a feverish quality#i found it very fun to work with#i feel that i have been using more interesting palettes a lot more lately#their poses were very fun for me to draw too#it's very interesting to think about how my style has progressed into exaggerated and excessive clothing folds#because before that i actively avoided drawing clothing folds#i dreaded it and it shows in my older art#i don't know what changed. i decided they were fun#i didn't do any particular studies but there is an artist that influenced the switch#but it'd be embarrassing to name them here LOL#overall my takeaway here from this piece is that im very happy#sorry that this has been some of my longest notes yet and thank you for reading

#ask#anonymous#rain world#survivor#hunter#watcher#monk#alright sooo i have complicated feelings#ive only finished the first ending so far!#my overall opinions are very positive! the places were breathtaking and the new ecosystems and their little secrets were suuuper interestin#albeit feeling every empty sometimes. and unpolished..#which brings me to my biggest issue is the map design really?#the way the decided to split the regions and never allowing them to flow and evolve as you explored them was sooo disappointing#esp because some felt more interesting when they were bigger#like ill be in stormy coast and go in a portal... and be still in stormy coast but.. different OOoOo#and when ur campaign is immitating being lost through time and space thats a bit meh?#along with the map design#it felt very unlike rainworld in some places?#like either limiting or having one path or hell- even feeling like a level not a world#and that was meeh#and thats my biggest issues so far. the world design. i completely do NOT AT ALL understand complains with the story or 'vagueness'#the story was VERY CLEAR#LIKE VERY CLEAR LIKE the watcher was VERY OPEN about its story compared to survi#you are lost with this little kid through time and space and you are helping her move on by being the only constant in their life#and watcher relates to being robbed of a childhood through the death of their family#they feel alone and lost and unfitting#searching for smth#WHICH watcher feels like an awesome mirror to survivor#ill ponder about that as survivors story is about accepting the loss of family and ascending#but watcher seems to put a lot of emphasis on rot and going UP instead. running away from the void sea- IM YET TO SEE MORE THO

#transformers#maccadam#''carnivorous'' cyberflora that traps small mechanimals in order to lure in it's chief pollinators its symbiotic with#solar panel themed vines that grow over anything and everything left to sit long enough#flowers that transform at dawn and dusk#enormous trees with metallic bark and energon soaking roots that feed entire ecosystems long after Cybertron itself dies#would the majority of fruit on Cybertron be energon themed/colored?#would its flora pulse with bright biolights and gleaming plating just like its fauna?#would cybertronian flora evolve so to endure and hide from the acidic rain instead of seek it?#how similar/dissimilar would flora be on Cybertron considering how undeniably terran our own plants are?#lots of opportunities!!

i'm used to the "hal cannot be anything other than 13 and there is no room for nuance on this matter" argument but the other two statements are so confusing to me. what
#honestly if you see him as an eternally 13 year old character idc that's your own interpretation. do what you want forever#but i think it's a stretch to say he's ABSOLUTELY thirteen...#if anything he develops beyond the personality of dirk at 13 and becomes a distinct person in comparison#is growing changing and learning not indicative of aging?#dirk even says ''In the years since we've both evolved somewhat''#he does then say that there's a maturity gap which you could take at face value#but imo he has a lot of motive to paint hal as an immature version of him to distance his actions from his own#dirk is NOT unbiased so i personally don't believe him when he says this#do i think this makes hal 16? i'm not so sure because he IS still an AI and nobody can say how one would age#but i don't think he's trapped as a 13 year old forever like a lot of people seem to think

I made post game strips of the ISAT party using the Siffrin internal monologue 'you' pronouns for everyone which was fun however. I do think everyone has different ways of referring to themselves internally.
Odile and Bonnie use 'I'.
Siffrin, Loop and Isabeau use 'you'.
Mirabelle uses 'we'.
#bae isat nibbles#odile and bonnie feel p straight forward like yeah. i need xyz thing#isa using you bc insecurity and self doubt will do that to you. easier to motivate and compliment it its not direct#so hang with with me about mira. shes also got the 'you' pronouns problems with her anxiety and insecurity#but saying 'you need to do this' feels too chiding. like a lot her parents might talk to her#using i pronouns makes her feel burdened. like an obligation. i have to do xyz thing. i must. i must. i must.#while 'we' hits mira in a gentler softer way. not isolating or independent. a collective that mira yearns for#using we as a way to hold her own hand and be independent. we can take our pills in the morning and then have a treat. we can do xyz thing#we not as a plurality but as an evolved internal language to help her get through the day#as opposed to isa who wants direct validation and comfort thus 'you can do this' 'youre doing a great job'#despite loop saying the royal we joke i dont think they would use we as an internal monologue pronoun#loop has the messiest you pronoun to refer to both themselves and siffrin and it is. a lot. i can see loop shifting to 'i' post game#which is why in that collection of strips loop uses i instead of you. breaking away from old thought patterns and the narrative by using i.

traditional music genres can be useful for describing what you like in a few words or looking for new songs, but none of them quite reach the niche I'm searching for when categorizing music
ideal genres for me are "in the woods and there are Mysteries", "it is raining in the city at night", "probably at the beach but this could very well be a dying dream", etc etc
#all my favorite sings have a very Specific category#if i listen to a new song and it can go in a Category (or make a new one!) it is a song i will add and listen to again and again#music#calico is befuddled#some songs overlap with multiple#it's all about the vibe and where they take you#which is also very personal since a lot of mine are tied to specific memories or seasons of life and just evolve from there
