By bribing Ppyong with some chocolate you get the necesarry stuff you needed from Minhyeok's room. You grab the definitly too big bag from the tiny Red Lump Devil and hand over his reward.You check the contents of it,while Ppyong stuffs a bunch of ferreros in his mouth.

You had been part of the dead boy detectives agency for a while, ever since you had found your brother Edwin again, you stayed by his side, and ofcourse Charles's too.

you aways helped out, kept them safe the best you could. even when you weren't in a state to do so.

there were uncountable times when you took the hit instead of them, physically and mentally.

you helped calm down ghosts who were lost, helped along with cases to make sure everything went according to plan, steped infront of them if someone tried to attack with an iron weapon, no matter how bad it hurt.

ofcourse, Edwin greatly appreciated it, and yet somehow you feel underappreciated.

they never changed the name, even though you joined, they were the ones people, well, ghosts looked for.

it was always "where are the two boys we were told about" and never "aren't you one of the dead boy detectives?"

when Crystal joined, she didn't seem very fond of you at first, which you honestly didn't mind too much.

could you blame her? she got her memories stolen by her demon ex and now she has no idea where she's supposed to be, where her home is.

when the four of you went to Port Townsend you thought little of it.

it was just one quick little case, right?

because of your brother Edwin using a simple spell on a cat that you guys got stuck here.

much to your luck, they accepted it without another thought.

as you walk, you can't help but notice the amount of cats you see everywhere.

Edwin was supposed to count them all, right?

maybe you could help by counting aswell, and telling Edwin later on how many you saw.

but you were too upset to really do that, so you just kept walking.

until you notice that one of the cats seems to be following you, no matter how many times you turn a corner, or stop for a moment, it seemed to follow your every move.

up untill a specific part, near the woods.

you thought it finally stopped following you, untill you turned around to see none other than the Cat King standing there.

that startled you, for some reason you didn't exactly expect it, and you nearly tripped if he didn't catch you.

"why are you here? why did you follow me?" you instantly question him, which seems to surprise him atleast a little.

"woah, calm down, i wasn't following you, i was just... taking a stroll... okay no i was totally following you" he admits.

"has Edwin counted all the cats yet?" you roll your eyes.

"no, obviously not, he would've gone to find you if he did" you cross your arms and look away from him.

why did he have to look so charming?

you thought he'd leave, but he didn't.

"why would i care who you give your stupid attention to" you practically snarl, though he doesn't seem to be bothered by your tone.

Edwin and Charles, now Crystal too, always get so much credit for solving cases too, and yet i'm the one that keeps getting hurt, that keeps being the target, i always put them above me and ofcourse i'm not greedy about getting attention or gratefullness but does it really hurt that much to ask if i'm okay? if i'm okay with being the bait when it's necesarry? if i'm okay with being ready to face death and go to the afterlife so she'll leave them alone? is it too much to ask for just a little care that's more than just some simple praise?" you ramble on for a bit, barely noticing the small, sypathetic smile on his face.

"now, now, darling, that is quite a lot of emotion, huh?"

"oh fuck off" you snap back, the tingling feeling of the spell he used to make you tell him fading as quick as it came.

"just be you" you murmur, daring to take a step closer to him, to which he subtly licks his lips.

it seems as though he's about to say something, but then he kisses you instead, taking a hold on your waist, he seems to be more gentle than you expected, and you kiss him back.

if someone told you that this kiss lasted for hours, you would've believed them.

it felt as if you got that peacefull after-life that you were promised, without ever leaving behind those you care about.

reluctantly, you both pull away.

"can i stay with you tonight, then?" you mutter quietly.

On this installment of April Foolishness,we will look at the first cinematic outing by comedy music legend Weird Al Yankovic

In this 1989 film George Newman (Weird Al Yankovic ) is a daydreamer who is put in charge of a dinky little UHF station ,who with the help of his friends and neighbors ,makes it a serious compettor with the local network affiliate Channel 8,with Channel 8's owner RJ Fletcher (Kevin McCarthy) seeking to bring down Newman and his friends

So I am a fan of Weird Al ,his songs and appearences in various projects tend to bring a smile to my face.....And I am happy to say I am a fan of this movie .This film was clearly made to be a cash in on Weird Als popularity ,who everyone thought would be a flash in the pan star (35 years later and hes still going strong,aint that funny ) so seeing the film.....I can see where it zags rather then zigs .Like the film couldve been just a showcase for Al ,have a few songs ,and have all the comedy come from this weird guy ....But thats not the movie AT ALL ,its a very solid comedy that happens to have Weird Al as the lead .Yeah George is the focus but its not a weird guy in a normal world...Its a kind of odd guy in alreaddy kind of odd world. Al nicely walks the line of being the goofball when necesarry and being a good straightman .Cause the film is peopled with oddballs .Like this is a movie where one of the characters is revealed to be an ALIEN and Im like "That makes sense ",this is just that kind of world .The fantasy sequences are fun and allow Al to do some film parodies ,the programs on TV Are WONDEFULLY bizarre ,and its just a gag a minute movie .The cast is good ,like I said Al is a good lead ,but the supporting cast really shines .Michael Richards gets the most screen time of Georges friends as an enthusiastic janitor who becomes a childrens TV host is pretty funny ,Fran Dresher is great as the secretary turned reporter,Anthony Geary is wonderfully odd as the engineer whose kind of a mad scientist ,Gedde Watnabe has rightfully become a meme legend as karate teacher turned game show host ,and the late Trinidad Silva who sadly only filmed two scenes before tragically dying in a car accident is a scene stealer as aweird guy with a whole lot of animals (The flying poodle scene is so dark it is funny ).I also really love the films villain,Kevin Mccarthy wasnt really known for comedy,but he UNDERSTOOD the assignment ,realishing playing such a wonderful scene chewing villain(REportedly hed laugh after every take ).Also Billy Barty is in the movie....I dunno,I just love Billy Barty ,hes always a plus for me .I also just love the films vibe of a bunch of weirdo united to make people happy and stick it to big guys .Also there is a music video poortion and an end credits song by Al so dont worry,if you want some Al music there is some

My problems are nitpicks.One is I just wanted more scenes of the group uniting .I dont care for the characters of Bob or Georges girlfriend Teri ,in fact couldve done without the romantic subplot ,and yeah,its an 80's comedy so there are a few "poorly aged"jokes

I think ironically people ship Kid with Blackstar so much because after a certain point any charachter development between Blackstar and Tsubaki disapeared, making her look as just a tool and nothing more - this also was kinda a consequence of embracing BS surpasing of Gods idea on his own kinda making it necesarry that he can do everything on his own with his weapon only being an accesory. A shame a shamr

I'll get to this later, but I want to start with a disclaimer: even if Tsubaki was more present in this story, the Black Star x Kid ship would still be popular, because of how many interactions they have in the manga, and just how engaging their interactions are, in terms of differing personalities, similar goals, and how they complement each other.

Black Star x Kid is a good ship for embracing their differences, including how their differences complement each other--just as Black Star x Tsubaki is a good ship, as each gives the other what they lack (one is outgoing, one is more reserved; one is overly confident, one needs a cheerleader and she gets it in Black Star) while contending with the same problem (family guilt, family pressure, lineage problems).

So, the real answer isn't whether to cheer on only DeathStar or only TsuStar: the real answer is to ship both ships...or toss in Liz for a poly relationship between the four.

Now, onto the longer answer in response...

I don't ignore that increased interactions can increase the popularity of a ship.

I also have seen ships that are super popular between characters with almost no interactions. Hell, look how popular ships get (not just as ironic or as memes--as legitimately enjoyable ships) between characters from completely different series, authors, time periods, media.

All of that said, I would rephrase it: Tsubaki unfortunately becomes so much less of an entity in Soul Eater that she doesn't get to exist as a fully realized character, or a character as fully realized as she was in earlier arcs, such as her fight against Masamune, Black Star training at her family's home, or the final fight against Mifune.

After the Baba Yaga arc, she is here to get jokes thrown at her for being a perv in the Book of Eibon arc, then just Black Star's weapon in combat. At least Soul got to say and do stuff even when being Maka's partner. Even as I can criticize stuff in the Book of Eibon, at least Liz and Patty got a flashback moment to show why they were devastated at Kid's kidnapping.

But Tsubaki doesn't get to do much during and after the Book of Eibon arc. So those moments where fans will hunt down panels in the manga where Black Star and Tsubaki share space, share looks, is limited. At most we get Black Star revealing he and Tsubaki sleep in the same room--but that is again part of making Tsubaki look like a perv, and more of the attention is on Kilik's reaction to all of this, again leaving Tsubaki erased from her own moment.

You point out that by the time that Black Star is practically a god that having Tsubaki act as more than just a tool is difficult.

But look at another story, such as Noragami.

Even as Yato and Yukine get more powerful and ascend to higher forms of divinity, neither one is really in a position to be on their own.

If we treat Yato as the Black Star here, he is still super arrogant and needs Yukine to humble him: we could have had that with Tsubaki still needing to humble Black Star, but even when he gets kicked in the balls by Patty, she isn't the one to humble him, that's Kim doing it.

If we treat Yukine as the Black Star here, he is still learning the ropes of his new powers--after Baba Yaga, we don't see Tsubaki continuing that training of Black Star, and that's a shame to not get to see more of such training, to show how Tsubaki unlocked those greater abilities Black Star shows later, such as the "walking" up to the Moon on Tsubaki's scarf or vomiting back a laser. Yes, this opens up a sexism problem--the girl who teaches the boy so that the boy can surpass the girl--but at least then Tsubaki is more involved and getting to do something.

Continuing to weave and move through the crowd, her footspeed picking up. Nobody could keep the acrobat off of them for long, and she'd start hopping from building to building if it became necesarry. As a Kyoshi Warrior there was no way that she'd be letting her mark get away.

Several pushed aside civilians later, and Ty Lee stumbled into a clearing of few people, breath labored, shoulders rising and falling, as she looked side to side, but not quickly enough. "Yikes!" She cried as the hand darted out and snatched her away. Her fans too quickly slipped from her grip, and the way in which Azula had gotten ahold of her made breaking free not immediately tenable.

But she would have to thank the thick makeup that she had to wear as a member of the Kyoshi Order, or else how hot her face had gotten as the other woman was in her face. Even through the mask, she could feel the heat of Azula's breath, and the strength of her hands. But she'd need to break free of these distractions and be in the moment! Her prey had total advantage, and Ty Lee would need to figure out how to reverse it soon if she'd be secure in her safety.

Having thought the first day here would lead to no definite ends Azula was ready to retire for the afternoon and find some food and a place to stay for the evening what Azula was not expecting was the sound of a familiar person. Kyoshi Warriors were not completely unheard of being seen around more and more often with how the times changed and Azula had no reason to believe just at first glance that this one was a very special warrior among them.

The sound confirmed it though. Halting her movement as she hears the call. It only takes a second for her to swear under the mask. " Spirits be damned. " Azula would grumble, quickly trying to dart further into the crowd. As soon as she heard her name her efforts would be doubled to try and lose the woman among the various people within the streets. Ty Lee's much more nimble form made it easier for her to doge around people but Azula's plan was to try and subtly lead her to a place where she could get the jump on her. Not exactly private but not exactly too open in the public that Azula didn't need to worry as much about her identity being revealed so carelessly. Basically, the ruffs learn to appreciate the goodness in the world and how, yes, it's hard but it's worth it (they don't fight against the crime in the way the puffs do, but if they see someone being a bully or a bigotry...Violence is in their nature.) and the puffs learns that they don't need to sacrife their happiness or lives for the sake of others, (they are still heroes, but they start to ask for better laboral conditions)

They were flirting intentional at the same totally oblivious to the other's flirt (bc so smart, so dumb)

So DBK and PIF didnt know like...anything about the King Red stuff until they ran into one of the bastards scattered timeline hopping attacks, so like, after King Red leaves and prisoner MK returns to his own timeline, TT Red would have to tell them the whole thing bc...like....yeah some ANSWERS are necesarry and his parents WILL not let this go until they get them. Which could lead to some interesting results for DBK and PIF in this situation. Like yeah uhm... turns out your son DIDNT flip allegiances simply because he fell in love, it is a LOT more complicated than that. Hes LITERALLY in therapy over what caused him to really flip sides, and its not that he DOESNT want them in his life, but that he fears hed be pushing his luck on trying to break the current if he LET HIMSELF (though that last part would probably be relayed by MK later) which...yeah, very interesting resulting situation i think...could cause them to double down harder which would certainly be A Thing That Will Be HappeningTM for our chronically paranoid, deeply anxious, probably depressed, short haired boy

Yeah after having an encounter with King Red for themselves, DBK and PIF would definitely have questions. I feel like Time Travel Red isn’t really keen on having a discussion of any kind with his parents though, even if they really push for it. Immediately after the fight ends he probably just offers them a quick, undetailed explanation so he can get away and not have to think about it anymore.. something like “That was me from the future.. or A future. He wants to kill me. So if you see him again just try to kill him, ok? Gotta go.”

MK ends up going into detail for them later.. and yes it definitely worries them to learn what becomes of them and their son in this other timeline so they totally double down on trying to be Good™ so as not to make things harder for Red.. I bet in this timeline MK and Red’s parents even end up kind of getting along despite Red’s fears.... MK probably doesn’t tell him too much about meeting with his parents. He doesn’t want to hide it from him, but he also knows that Red Son won’t see it as the objectively good thing it is that his parents want to be less evil in order to make his life easier. He’ll let Red get further along in his therapy before he lets him know he’s made friends with DBK and PIF :U
