#personal #my job is very very stressful and im in the middle of an involuntary transition period there (long story but not a demotion)#i just recently moved and im still trying to settle in here #my fall semester just started and im already a week behind #and im still trying to figure out what the fuck is wrong with my body and brain but cant get in to see my doctors #because they wont answer their fucking phones #i need like 3 months where i dont have any responsibilities and can just relax #and then another 3 months where i dont have any ongoing responsibilities and can just catch up on what i already have

ISNT THAT COOL??just to say 'buy our stupif fucking thing' they bring together so many ppl #to do what humans do BEST!! THEY WORK TOGETHER AND CREATE!! something that never fails to amaze me is how someone will know that you are in pain and/or have very limited mobility and will still walk quickly ahead of you without noticing that you are struggling to keep up. why am I rushing after my physical therapist

#once a friend asked if i wanted to do snth and i told them i could but i was in a lot of pain and could barely walk #and they still walked fast af to the point that i was like walking 10 feet behind them while they kept talking as if i was next to them #how difficult is it to match someone elses pace? i dont understand this. when im walking w someone who's slower than me i just slow down #how is this a hard concept?#and yet every fuckin day of my life im gritting my teeth and pushing past the pain to catch up w mfs who cant be bothered to consider me #formerly ori/ons/belts

Doing some Japanese listening comprehension practice and can someone tell me how to not despair over the fact that very simple listening comprehension is still extremely challenging when I'm able to do listening comprehension in spanish with relative ease*

*ignore the fact that I studied spanish formally for 12 years, including AP, and hear it at home and that I've been only studying japanese for a year. not relevant

#shut up me #sweating with exertion clutching my pencil so hard its about to snap listening to someone say like “the watch costs 4500 yen :D”#I get it eventually but im so slow I have to repeat what they said to myself and by the time it clicks theyve moved on #and even then... i dont catch all of it #and i know thats okay. my spanish teacher always said that its fine if you cant understand all the words when listening/reading #just try your best to get the overall meaning #but sometimes I struggle to fully internalize that..#I just worry Im missing something or doing something wrong since im entirely alone teaching myself here #(I know im behind on kanji but you must understand how scary kanji is)
