When there's no live game on at all (or one that I want to watch) I use the time to catch up on some hockey games I missed earlier in the season when I was on holidays.

5am and I'm catching up on the Toronto v Boston game from 27/10/24 (Australia time).

I made myself a wrap.

A crunchy wrap.

(Not the crunchiest wrap ever I know. Probably only mildly crunchy. But crunchier than how I would usually eat it.)

🤷🏽‍♀️ personally felt like the next logical step (for me) was to record a video of me taking a few bites of the crunchy wrap. Just for the ASMR of it ya know.

It sounded so...crunchy. Me likes 😁

Me since yesterday sometimes feeling like I'm on a hair trigger: everybody hates me, I hate everybody, everything and everyone is soooo annoying, why are they talking to me ughhh, I'm so alone, so fucking tired, nobody wants to be my friend, what am I even DOING??? Etc etc.

Me an hour ago: ...waaaait something feels a bit sus *checks app* ahhhh yeah lollllll it all makes sense now I don't REALLY feel like that *instant relief and huge reduction in overwhelming emotional BS* 🤷🏽‍♀️ like now that I'm reminded why....I'm suddenly way more fine

I've wanted to clean my room for a little bit now but just haven't been able to actually do it. So hard to work up the energy and motivation. I always end up doing other things when I try and start. Doing other adulting things instead of this adulting thing 😂

BUT

Bout to go to bed and I see a TINY FUCKING SPIDER on something. And yooooo let me tell you I am MOTIVATED. I can NOT WAIT for morning to roll around to clean 😭

Beginning to make my way through Sidney Crosby's NHL career so far. Going to be watching all Penguins games starting from his debut. Whatever game footage I can find anyway (if anyone knows where I can watch the first game Penguins v Devils Oct 5/2005 in full...please do let me know! Can't find it on YouTube so far).

I'd like to begin by saying...I, for no particular reason, just love that Christina Aguilera sang the anthem during Sid's debut game. It just gives me joy 😄

Things worked out in the past few weeks in a way that meant I was at home and free to watch whatever I wanted and nobody else was around to question me...so I somehow started watching ice hockey lol.

YouTube highlights turned into watching the playoff games.

After considerable YouTube highlight watching and then comparing this particular player and the things they can do and the way they play to what I'm seeing in the playoff games...I've chosen my favourite player, and thus the team I will be mainly supporting. Based on my own views and limited opinions on ice hockey and not from hearing him being called the best.

It's Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.

All this to explain why I'm now 5 games into watching the full game replays of Team Canada's 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics campaign lol 😄

The videos don't even have commentary 😂. It's just the natural sounds of the game...and no lies I thought it was gonna be not interesting to watch without the commentary..but I absolutely love it

Someone mentioned him in a fic. And I really liked the lyrics so I searched for him on Spotify...listened to his most popular songs (realised I'd actually heard one or two of them before).

Loved the music so much I went and listened to all of his albums in order. Multiple times. Over and over again. Still doing it. Will continue to. Absolutely love his music. He is now one of my favourite artists.

...if he isn't my top artist I will be very shocked...cause I literally have no idea who else it could be lol

no cheating by looking but who do you think your Spotify top artist is gonna be this year 👀

Sat in the carpark in my car and finished an episode of S.W.A.T as therapy for my therapy.

Realised yesterday county cricket matches were on again. Watching Sir Alastair Cook play gives me joy 😍 but, also, I miss him internationally 😭

I love the commentary that comes with Cooky tho 😂 E.g:
