#if anyone remembers a guy i mentioned yesterday in the tags of a post #well he was supposed to stay in my town for three more weeks to do army training #with my brother #and i could see him a few more times #but alas god forbid something good happens in my love life #everything was a misconception and he was supposed to return to his town #and he learnt that today #and he left #and at first he said maybe he could talk to some people he knows so he can come back #because him and my brother are really good friends now and they really wanted to be together #and a lot of people in this country use their connections in the army #but they can do nothing 😃#so I'll never see him again most probably #and idk i really shouldn't take it so badly #because ive only seen him two times #but he was so cute and nice and i really hoped for something i guess? at least to see him more times #my brother has an exit permit tomorrow and i could meet them??#and idk im so sad since the morning that i learnt abt it #i know im overreacting again #but I hadn't anyone or anything to look forward for so much time #and now i was excited #like yesterday #after we went for that coffee i was so happy and high almost like i had used drugs #and he was showing us his barber scissors because he's a barber and he said something like #i will show you the rest of them next week when we're out 😭#maybe he just said it as a figure of speech #but i like to think he was thinking of meeting me again next week #fuck im crying now #i just want something good and easy for once in my life #but i guess i ask for too much? who knows. but im tired and sad

#i feel like too many people reduce this interaction to jason being like ‘lol same’#but idk :/#this chapter is from jason’s pov #and leading up to it he’s like ‘people keep walking on eggshells around me bc of the the michael varus stab wound’#and he hates it so when he goes on deck to help out with the storm #everyone’s like wtf except for percy #and jason states how much he appreciated percy not treating him like a sick kid #and i feel like it’s echoed in this sentiment where jason could say so many things like #‘you should never feel that way’ ‘im here if you need anything’#but he doesn’t make percy feel alone in his desire to just…. end it all #which ik for some people that doesn’t work but you’re not a character in hoo and percy is dealing with so much guilt #and he can’t tell annabeth bc she’s a main aspect of that guilt #and he doesn’t wanna guilt her more and he feels ashamed and when he describes this he feels weird for feeling it #so having jason this tough guy be like ‘yo i understand it bc i felt the same way #that’s gotta mean a lot to percy #also insane how jason who also struggles to display vulnerability #allows it in one of few times in this moment just so percy this guy he’s supposed to be jealous about #feels comforted and not alone in his guilt and shame #and also it’s just insane how jason’s wanting to kay em ess does not get talked about AT ALL #and just seeing his mom and the pressure of new rome getting to him #like this scene is insane and i’ll never shut up about it #also ignore me i’m just finishing my reread of hoo that took all summer #jason grace #percy jackson #pjo #ashla.txt

honestly, the most devastating news you could hear about in 2007 while playing roblox was learning that Scatman John passed away in 1999. like, finding that out was the roblox child's equivalent to 9/11.

#i remember discovering scatman through like. mario 64 and roblox bloopers. and also through a lot of old roblox levels #and like listening to his stuff and being like wow this guys fucking cool #only to find a remix of one of his songs that had the day he passed away on the still image of the video #i remember being like VERY saddened because i was like ''no.... no it was too soon...''#as if me as a 9 year old kid could've done anything to stop it #it is genuinely sad to see some of the people i liked as a kid having passed away via lung cancer #LIKE NOT TO BE REAL ON THIS FUCKING POST BUT. God man #like it was specifically actors i loved watching as a kid. and learning oh. the bastard cigarette did it again.#growing up i watched a lot of Lucille Ball shows and Jim Varney commercials #Jim Varney especially was another moment for me as a kid that was like. incredibly devastating #like i mainly knew him purely for his Ernest commercials. like i didn't even know he had movies for most of my time watching him as a kid #like we had a VHS tape of his commercials (that's uploaded to youtube) that i was so fucking obsessed with as a kid #like i would constantly play that VHS tape on any television in the house that i could #when we moved i think i watched it a few more times until it eventually ended up in the basement #and immediately i was saddened to find the VHS tape once more #this time found beneath the stairs and covered in a green goop (or mold-like substance)#and from then on id constantly beg my mother to go on Ebay and find Ernest's Greatest Hits Volume 1 #later learned that it was uploaded to YouTube and my mother was like ''why do you want a VHS tape if it's on youtube''#which is like an absolutely fair point but. idk owning a physical copy was a completely different experience #sorry this post was supposed to be about the roblox child's personal 9/11.#anyway did you guys know that Niel Cicierega was on a youtube series discussing and rating Ernest movies #i just thought that was neat

remember how in dao there were always like multiple flirty options u could just spring on ur love interest and it wasn't something that was brushed past it would stop a conversation dead in its tracks to have a cute secondary flirty offshoot with small variations dependent on the flirty option u initially chose with a unique course correction to get back on topic after...... yeah.

#sorry i'm about to be a hater #romance in datv is like. a vaguely flirty line met by an even vaguer response that has no impact on the conversation #in the beginning at least #only once your relationship is like 6 or 7 does it get a little more receptive #and the whole time it's like okay i completed a main quest. time to talk to the love interest. okay i did another main quest. time to talk #to the love interest. BC YOU CAN'T TALK TO THEM OUTSIDE OF DESIGNATED CUTSCENES. U CAN'T HAVE RANDOM CONVERSATIONS #A LA HAVE YOU EVER LICKED A LAMPPOST IN WINTER!!! THAT IS SO LAME!!!!!!!! funny thing about aus in which another one of the party joins the loops with siffrin is that, while the others are 10x more likely to mention the loops, i cant imagine any of them would go to siffrin first.

i think sebastian would’ve grown up to be either a curse-breaker, healer, or professor. he came way too close to azkaban for him to realistically become an auror imo. my hc though is that he became the hogwarts dada professor and one of his students was dumbledore

#the age kind of works? every student in their fifth year during the game was born 1874-1875 #dumbledore was born 1881 #realistically dumbledore would have attended hogwarts with sebastian and everyone else #if he’s 6-7 years younger then he would’ve been either a 1st year when seb + everyone was in 7th #or he would’ve started attending the year after we all graduated #afaik there’s not much you need to do to become a hogwarts prof #like as far as i can tell if you get a job offer you could come back the year after you graduate to teach. i mean probably not but there’s #no confirmation so likeee. but i think he realistically could’ve graduated and then gone and taught when dumbledore was in 3rd or 4th year #idk i just think it’s a fun headcanon. partially bc i’m thinking what if seb + mc (+ ominis?) time travelled to when hp & friends were in #their 5th year. which i started thinking about bc phineas black has a portrait in the headmasters office and also at grimmauld place #and i thought that’d be funny. imagine being a portrait for like 80 yrs and suddenly ur students from 100 yrs ago when u were alive appear #ur most troublemaking students at that (minus ominis he’s not that troublemaking)#but the idea of sebastian teaching dumbledore would also be kind of interesting for this time travel scenario. at the very least it’d be #kind of funny. to me. also picturing sebastian and mc meeting the whole gaggle of weasleys. that’s also really funny to me #surrounded by garreth clones basically #anyway. this just turned into me rambling about sebastian and time travel. But if I put myself in this position to help Cellbit so he can get the cure... You understand? It's better if I'm the bait. Right? I can't- I can't carry things alone guys, I've already lost Mike [...] if I lose Cellbit and I alone had to carry things, I won't be able to. But I think Cellbit can manage better. I know I've been on about this for a while now and I'm being a hater but you're telling me SydCarmy was "always meant to be platonic" even though there are two seasons of writing making use of tried-and-true explicitly romantic tropes, themes and writing signals, and SydLuca is going to be romantic because...he was nice to her on screen for a few minutes?

I don't even care if people ship SydLuca, or if they just prefer it, but you can't honestly tell me that you believe Carmy was always meant to be a friend but Luca is an obvious love interest.

Just because Syd and Carmy haven't kissed or confessed their love to each other doesn't mean that isn't very obviously the direction this show is going. The Bear has already shown you who is endgame. It has shown you every episode of the show so far.

Honestly I really don't think The Bear fanbase understands this show or cares about these characters or the story being told here, which is unfortunate because this show is shockingly well-written in comparison to most shows right now, and we should be so grateful for it but all we're doing is complaining that the writers led us on by not making a ship canon fast enough. It's just. Sad.

These are characters who are strangers. who are working together. Who are in a tense environment #and each of them has problems - one of them the type of problems that makes developing new relationships pretty difficult #these two would not get together right away. It would take a long time. And there would be ups and downs.#And even when that's the case. Even if when it takes a long time and doesn't go smoothly and is hard -#it can still be beautiful. It can still be romantic. It can still happen and here's how #and I'm just so inspired genuinely. It is so difficult to write romance without being cliche and so difficult to write it in a way that #could actually happen in real life and I really do hope I can write something half as good some day #and then to know so many people have no appreciation for it at all #because they prefer the shows that have characters make eye contact a few times and then confess their love for each other like #it's just fucking sad. So sad that so few people have any appreciation for good writing especially the difficult of romance writing #like I really just don't even know what to tell you. In real life these two would not have confessed to each other yet. They would not have #kissed yet. They would not have even realized they have feelings for each other yet because those feelings would still be developing #and I also want to point out that given the disparity in power between Syd and Carmy in season 1 it wouldn't have been healthy for them to #get together much sooner. He was her boss. He was also her idol. Before they can even get together that needs to be balanced out.#And then on top of that don't you see the value in Carmy realizing the dream girl he's romanticized in his head - Claire - isn't actually #what he wants? Don't you see the beauty in him being disillusioned from that? And realizing that Syd is what he wants?#Don't you see the beauty in Syd having an idealized vision of what Carmy The Great Chef is like realizing she was wrong and that he's human #and flawed and then realizing - she loves him anyway? She loves him more for not being on a pedestal and for having his flaws?#Are you telling me that even thinking about this doesn't move you? Doesn't make your heart ache a little?#And again - ship and let ship - but what is Luca? What is Luca if not just what she was hoping Carmy would be when she wen to The Beef?#What is he if not just another man who she has not seen under pressure yet? Not seen reliving trauma yet? Not been her boss yet?#It's easy to look at him and think he's better than Carmy - and that's the point. That's the point The Bear is making.#It is easy to want someone you don't know. It's hard to want to someone you do know. But that's what love requires and that's the point

i think i'm never going to like marius i dont even find him compelling in a horrible guy way and i dont understand why anne rice and almost every character acts like the sun shines out of his ass he's just bleh. i do not like him
