Maybe the pain is driving her mad. Or maybe death comes for you in the form of the person who you would most like to see one last time, to make the passing easier. She never thought Regina would be that person, but now that she thinks about it, it couldn't be more perfect.

📝 wip tag game!

Lemme yap a bit. Sooooo compared to a lot of ppl, i have my wips on a Notion kanban. Like the raw drafts mindless writing brain dumps go straight to Notion. Then i load them on Grammarly for copyedits. When i want them beta-ed, they get transferred to Google Docs. And yes, for every edit, they ALL get adjusted.

These are stuff i plan to write and share this yr that i rly hope i get to see through, especially the series. It will DEF be a challenge but i am willing to take it on. Some of these were written before i started posting fics on caratblr so i am editing to post them....someday. Those erased are collabs already in the works but i dont know if i can post abt them yet soooo keeping them secret for now hehe.

Along with this i have a LOOOONG LONG list of just random ideas that dont even have an inkling to them yet. But im keeping them in a safe place for the future hehe

So far, I only do series, and I'm working on several. I hope you guys enjoy reading these as much as I had writing them and rereading them. Most are a work in progress, and I'll post them when I can.

Whenever I write, I always picture Maria Winter as the character in the story, even if it is Y/N or the reader. She's been with me through many stories that I've written over the past 30 years. I love that I get to share her with all of you.

I'm one who enjoys the reader to be something different than human. Somehow, writing those always brings a lot of unexpected things to the story. I haven't yet written where the reader or OC is human. There's always something hidden below the surface.

I think if I do any AUs, I will try out having the reader be human but with something utterly unique to the AU that's like 1 in a billion.

Summary: By an old Republic law, all members of the Jedi High Council are senators in the Galactic Senate, and can thus be voted in as chancellor. A Senator from a less prominent planet has had enough of Chancellor Palpatine's incompetence and calls for a Vote of No-Confidence and the installation of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi as Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic. This one action becomes the catalyst that changes the direction of the galaxy. (or: “Obi-Wan’s Life Gets Worse. Though It’s Not As Bad As It Could’ve Been”.

During a mission to save slave kids during the clone wars, there is a bomb threat, and it ends with Obi-Wan being photographed topless and saving two young children (he gave most of his clothes to the kids), and turns into a sexyman holonet sensation! Anakin and Ahsoka think it's hilarious. Obi-Wan just wants to forget all about it.

Part 3:

Chapter 1-20

A senator (Mandai) from a species that can't be influenced by the force calls for:

- a vote of no confidence on Palpatine

- to install a neutral Chancellor: Master Kenobi

Both pass. Obi-Wan feels horrible about it all and the sudden changes and new responsibilities, but he'll do his duty and try his best to weed out corruption and end the war.

Obi-Wan then starts an investigation into Palpatine. Anakin is mad but can't deny the findings.

Ten worlds rejoin the republic.

There are several attempts on Obi-Wan's life.

The Chancellor's rooms have several strange and possibly sithly artifacts. Obi-Wan remembers Dooku talking about the Sith in the Senate.

Palpatine POV we can see him seeking Obi-Wan's death.

Dooku has discarded Palpatine as no longer useful.

C21-40

Palpatine turns Anakin against OW by making him think OW is neglecting the war by staying on Coruscant.

OW finds altered Jedi mission briefings in Palpatine's files, often altered to request OW specifically. The Jedi investigate. Bail and Padmé and handmaiden Ellé help by looking for the originals.

Palpatine is mad. "Out of the ten star systems that are working to rejoin the Republic, 4 of them are from missions Palpatine himself set up for Kenobi to go on; out of the 135 worlds that set off the Vote of No-Confidence, 56 were worlds Kenobi might never have visited if Palpatine hadn’t altered the mission specifications."

Obi-Wan is exhausted. Cody, Yoda and others are worried about him and look after him, forcing him to take some time to rest and sleep.

~

Senators are not used to Jedi chancellors who can't get bribed. He (anonymously so he can't refuse them) gets a lot of plants.

~

Anakin learns from Padmé that Obi-Wan has been deliberately kept from him and sent on dangerous missions, and has a panic attack.

OW and Anakin talk it all out.

Anakin keeps the investigation from Palpatine despite still trusting him and thinking someone else must be behind it.

C41-60

The Jedi High Council doesn't schedule anything on days Obi-Wan is supposed to attend council sessions so he at least gets a free day from time to time

Palpatine hires new assassins, they're supposed to make it look like OW is just collateral.

The bomb nearly kills him, his clone guard and several senators, does kill two senators, but OW protects those closest to him from the blast. He is impaled by debris and hears force ghost Qui-Gon while waiting for help to arrive, telling him to hang in there. He's taken to the healing halls in critical state.

Anakin is given the choice to continue his mission or return to coruscant. He chooses to go home, for Ahsoka, despite thinking it might be a test that he is failing.

Someone tries to have Palpatine reinstated as Chancellor while OW is out of commission, but it fails.

Dooku has feelings about Obi-Wan almost dying that he'd rather not have.

Palpatine killed the hired assassin after the bombing, but she managed to shoot and injured him as well as send a distress signal. Quinlan, undercover as a bounty hunter, investigates with one of the assassin's friends, La, who figures out that he's a jedi.

They find the body and Quinlan figures out the Sith Lord killed her.

C61-70

Quinlan and La think they can identify the Sith Lord by the nanobots from the assassin's gun if they just happen to come across him.

Palpatine does some voodoo doll style blood magic on OWK to kill him from afar while he's still in medical.

Vocara Che (with Rig Neema, Plo Koon, Yoda, Mace Windu) fights against the darkness and saves him.

Palpatine plans Order 66.

Anakin is shocked that Master Che lives together and seems to be dating Knight Rig and that Mace is friends with them.

The Jedi realize Anakin's padawanship was sabotaged through more than just OW being sent away, his therapist was probably murdered on a mission when he was 12.

Padme realizes Palpatine has been manipulating her and Anakin for a long time.

Padme loved Anakin but thinks they never should have married, hates the need for secrecy.

Obi-Wan wakes.

C71-80

Obi-Wan recovers and goes back to work.

Senators are being investigated and arrested.

Palpatine talks Anakin into believing that a dictatorship would be better than democracy because of the slow bureaucracy in the Senate.

Plo Koon reports that the forces of the CIS seem to struggle without (Palpatine's) Intel about strategies of the Republic. Obi-Wan suspects Palpatine as the former spy but doesn't yet tell the council as he has no proof yet.

Obi-Wan tells Shaak Tii to investigate the Clone Chips.

~

"Dooku snarls at the latest news. Slowly but surely his hold of the separatist worlds is slipping. Many have already left, and once the Republic proved that they would be reasonable during peace talks—there is no doubt in Dooku’s mind that that is entirely because of Kenobi—even more saw it as their chance to return to an improved Republic. The winds are shifting, the trajectory of the corrupt Republic is changing, unjust laws are being brought back to the Senate floor and retracted. Somehow... Somehow Obi-Wan Kenobi has managed to turn the Republic from a cesspool of corruption to a place that is slowly but surely starting to try and drag itself out of the mud."

Dooku also has nostalgic feelings about Qui-Gon, wishes he could see how far Obi-Wan has made it.

Obi-Wan meanwhile wonders whether there is still a chance to get Dooku to return to the light and the Republic.

C81+

Charges against Palpatine and Mas Amedda will go to court.

New Year Writing Tag

Thank you for tagging me @ladyduellist!! I tried to pour over my notifications to see if anyone else tagged me in this so if I missed you, I'm sorry!! 💕

What's Been Your Biggest Learning Point This Past Year? I think for me, it's been been note taking! I never used to do that, and I have like 30 notes open in my phone of ideas, future dialogue, scenes, etc. It's helped so much!

How Has Your Writing Developed This Past Year? I think it's gone really well! I struggled a lot in the beginning of the year. I started writing my fic in April and only started posting in July, but thank goodness I took all those months to do it because I could clearly see how different it was between all those months and I was able to edit it to my satisfaction! I feel I've come a long way from where I was just a year ago 💗

Good Writing Habits? Note-taking! So much note-taking! It also helps me sustain my inspiration and motivation. Also, taking breaks to work on other stuff, even things that never see the light of day. It helps me break everything up! 💕

Bad Writing Habits? I have to say straying off on like tumblr or something- I get distracted easily and I really should close those tabs while I'm trying to stay dedicated!! Also, editing while I'm trying to make progress- I tend to get completely engrossed and miss so much development time. *sigh*

Favorite Thing You Wrote? So far, Chapter 6 of With Stars to Fill My Dream. It's my bite-night chapter and I am really proud of it- it has all that fun vampire stuff I like, lots of fun prose, some "Astarion lost in the sauce" moments, and honestly I just really love vampires. It felt good to finally write a bite scene after being obsessed with vampires for most of my life, lol.

Favorite Reads? Man, I haven't been reading actual books in a while, I have dipped into Dracula again recently but I'll link some of my fave fanfics I've read this year!

Until You by @bloodinwine (seriously do yourself a favor and read this fic- it's insanely beautiful, raw, and so powerful. It's such an emotional journey, I have yet to get fully caught up, but my GOD just everything is done so well and I guarantee you'll fall in love with Effy)

Not Your Sweetheart by @kittenintheden (again, another AMAZING fic- I have been in love with Ori since I first read this. She's such a wonderful, quick-witted, lovely character that I am still obsessed with, and again, I've been falling behind in catching up on fics but I'm so excited to finally do so here soon!)

Slip Away Today by @ladyduellist (COWBOY ASTARION!! Need I say more?? I am obsessed with this fic- I love it, I love Lady sm, and it's just. Incredible. YA'LL need to read this because it delivers. Perfect, Old West Faerun)

La Petite Mort by @pinkberrytea (This fic fundamentally changed me on a molecular level. Absolutely amazing and so hot- do yourself a favor and read this for some vampire bite fun and to just melt into the ground. Honestly, anything from Berry just slaps)

Hellish Rebuke by @bludazey (Another fic I NEED to get caught up in, but just SO well written- I've actually had to put my phone down while reading a few times just to *absorb* the words and also take an emotional break. I love Lilith so much and fully intend on descending into this completed masterpiece this year so I can not only show it the love it deserves but finally see where those two end up)

Khywren's Kinktober Series by @khywren (INSANITY. PERFECTION. All of these are AMAZING- I've loved every single one and I am so in love with Ysera and her relationship with Astarion. All of Khy's work is top-notch, and if you're looking for heartwarming writing, amazing smut, and wonderful characterization look no further.)

Biggest Win? Making friends!! I have been away from anything social like writing and posting fics and art for so long and I feel like I lost so much in those years of stagnation. I finally feel almost like I'm supposed to- happy, excited to experience each day, and desperately lacking in time to do all the things I love, but I persist! 💕

Goals for the New Year? Finishing With Stars to Fill My Dream! I'm starting to write Act 1.5/2 right now, and I'm hoping by the end of the year that I'm closing the book on Ofelia and Astarion's main journey. Hopefully, I'll even be starting the much shorter sequel! I have some plans for these two and I'm really excited to put them into writing. 💕

Your Favorite Word of the Year, AKA the Words You Check Each Chapter for, Making Sure You Didn't Repear them 788 Times? Haha, yes- "rubies", "plush", "fingers", "crimson", "blood". Got a lot of those in there, sorry guys.

Power rangers writing prompts

I decided to do a post to ideas and prompts I have or recieved of Power Rangers, so people might decide to write them. Feel free to use them. It would be nice to get credit or message if you do use them but it's not necessary. If you have other ideas write me in the comments or in a message and I might add them to this list. If you do write a fic for one of this prompts and you'll send it to me I'll add a link to it in the post. The ideas are plot based and not shipping based and that the point of all the prompts.

Some of the ideas are solid and some are very general.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers:

Tommy Oliver struggling in school (can also be written as ADHD or learning disability character)

Autisic Billy Cranston

Civilians figuring out the rangers identities because they always stay to fight against the putties even without morphing.

2X08, the tape recorded the rangers morph and their identities revealed (by the news company or because Bulk and Skull screen it to everyone before the rangers were able to stop them)

2X09: Rocky, Adam and Aisha are coming to Angel Grove to the Broomball Tournament.

Sylvia, Kelly, Jeremy, Curtis finding out their cousins are power rangers.

There are many episodes with a child who hang out with the rangers so write fanfics from their point of view about the rangers, maybe what would have happened if they figured out their identities or what happened to them in the future because they appeared only once (Maria, Willy, Sylvia, Kelly, Jeremy, Cameron, Roger, Hallie)

Does the fact that DP now has an official canon continuation affect you while working on the comic

Like does the new canon stuff influence your own vision or has your vision for your reboot remained the same since you started?

Sorry it's taken so long to answer so I'll match with a long answer and update in my process, I'm so sorry lol

But no, an official canon continuation will not stop me from making the comic. And while I do own the new comic and plan on getting all the future official DP merch I can get my hands on, it wont effect my story in the slightest because I haven't read it. Plus I've already written my story and I'm very happy with it. I will someday read the new comic but not anytime soon, I'm just so happy it exists and that it's in my hands either way.

What might stop me (for a little bit at least) is a full on rebooted series, not a continuation/revival because the fandom has been around so long and we've all influenced each other in big or little ways. And since we're all playing in the same sandbox there's naturally some overlap. But this started as a pitch bible/proof of concept for a full on reboot of my own and if there's an active reboot airing I'd be very sad it wasn't mine (so silly I know lol but it's true).

What has stopped me is the a back and forth issue I have on the comic in general. I have found a style of comic I enjoy making, but I have gotten in my own head about it being stiff and bad. I know practice make progress and I'm getting more confident about it and also considering making it into a fic with art and slowly adapting it into a comic just so I can have some thing to post and put out there. But my iPad is dying and outside of sketches on paper I haven't been able to write or draw to the extent I'd like. I've been saving for a new one for a while now and about half way there but life happens and it takes a toll on my savings. So I'm trying to decide what's the best way to proceed and I have a lot of options and that's also a little overwhelming, which sounds silly typing out. But it's easy for me to feel guilt every time I try to commit to one game plan because all my best options rely on me getting a new iPad

It's been ages since I did one of these so let's talk a bit about stuff I've maybe got going on in the background shall we (hoping I can work on the two request ones I have shortly):

(Prince!Karno/Princess!Reader) (Request) Word Count 1,006. This is for the Prince Karno/Princess Reader request I got way back in November (Sorry I will try to get to this asap - this 1,006 words was what I did at the time. I haven't touched it since November, I'm sorry. 😭 (I think I went for trying to get the advent calendar fics done in advance - and even that I wasn't ahead enough on in the end. 😂)

2. Untitled Angsty Tauxolouve/Goddess!Reader (Request)

Just noting this here. This was a relatively recent request and I haven't even started even an idea on this yet because I really need to do fic 1 before this one. But I will get to this one. 😊 I have a few possible ideas (which probably means I need to apologise to Tauxolouve. Again 🙃)

3. A Love Lost

I don't know whether I will get round to working out the best way to do this one. Currently 2,386 words. Currently this has no pairing (well aside from past Huedhaut/Clotho) - what this story is supposed to be is basically 'what if someone stopped Hue from saving Clotho's soul'. So it's more an insight into his character than anything else right now.

4. Light Vs Dark (Huedhaut/MC)

Current word count: 662. Which is barely any more than it had last time I did one of these posts which was apparently way back in September.

5. What the Future May Bring (Huedhaut/MC)

Current word count: 1,095. Apparently I made a slight change/correction at one point cos this has gone up two words but this is still the one where I'm sure I had a clear idea. Now I fear I may have left it too long.

6. Sleepless (Aigonorus/MC)

Current word count: 3,902. Poor Aigo. I started this one way back in October... no NOT 2024, 2023! This one may need some tweaking... or else it may end up also being a Hue/Tauxolouve fic. 🤔 Speaking of who...

7. Untitled Hue/Tauxolouve fic

Still just the 1,057 words of a vague idea I had for these two that I mentioned last rambling post like this. There's still the one in my Karno/MC universe (so Hard Work, Heavens on his Mind) that I'm still somewhat considering but I dunno whether to add a new paring to an already established series. Then there's another idea I had where... okay if I start listing potential stuff we'll be here even longer.

8. Untitled Ichthys/MC/Huedhaut fic

Current word count: 688. Rating: Likely M due to dark themes (if I ever finish this one. I may well go ahead and rework this a bit like I said in my last one of these).

9. Fiery Encounter (Aigonorus/Reader)

Current word count: 714. I think this one might be more likely to be finished before the Aigo/MC story even though this one is newer.

10. Future Help (Ichthys/MC)

Current Word Count: 488. This hasn't changed at all since my initial typing back in February last year. I'm almost tempted to not list this here at all because whether I'll ever actually use this exact one now I'm not sure.

I think that's it for ones I actually have stuff written down for, though I will say (especially since their brief part in my last fic) I really want to write a full Aigonorus/Tauxolouve story at some point. Other than that as I say I have several ideas for Huedhaut/Tauxolouve and then I haven't forgotten my idea about someone maybe changing departments (though I fear the catalyst in that is going to end up being rather dark if I do. That said I do have a potential plan for how a department switch would go now)

Hopefully someone found this interesting. I'm really not sure how useful this particular update is, even more so than usual! 😅

My INTENTION (unless my mind decides to throw something else up) is for the next two fics to be my two requests.

As to what comes after those? I fear even I can't make a guess on that at this point! (It may even end up being the idea I had where it ends up that someone in the heavens does something that affects certain members of the departments adversely because they aren't like the other gods. (I think in my mind that that is currently also Huedhaut/Tauxolouve but it doesn't necessarily have to be)).

Trollhunters Ending FIXED!!!

So....I've recently binged this entire series, fell in love with it and promptly gotten heartbroken at the shitty ending the movie gave us. SO!!!! I have seen many people hating on the ending and pretending it and the movie didn't exist. I came up with an idea that I am permanently using as a replacement for the ending that I'm pretty happy with. I can't write dramatically for shit BUT I can scribble ideas! If anyone wants to flesh this out into a one shot fic PLZ TAG ME JUST SO I CAN READ IT!!!!!

(also this is gonna read more like a screen play for a movie cus I'm a vid editor and that's how I picture stuff, doesn't always translate well into a written story! 😅)

- So everything stays the same up until Jim uses the kronosphere to go back in time

- Instead of going back to the beginning and changing everything, he travels back to when the Arcane order had finally gotten a hold of the real Nari

- Everything is still happening around him but is dead silent as if he were deaf and in slight slo mo as he gets his bearings (not actually deaf, just that kinda cinematic idea for drama!!)

- Looks around and sees everyone alive gathered around (maybe some sappy or quiet music plays on top of him seeing everyone alive, I dunno!!!)

- As this is the past they don't know Jim just came from the future and are instead focused on glaring at something

- IRL sound hits back in like a huge thud, LOUD AF!!!!

- Jarring Jim to turn around and see the Arcane order hovering in that same ball of magic that surrounded them the first time (that's what everyone is glaring at btw!)

- This is when realization for Jim sets in and he knows this is his second chance

- The music from the credits in the original film (or something like that) starts to build up (in my head it's like him and the music are going "not this fucking time!")

- He transforms into his new armour (either cus it came back in time with him or cus now he knows about the 9th configuration, your choice!)

- Camera and everything is focused on the transformation as the music is building but you can see everyone in the background looking either shocked or like "HELL YEAH!!" when they see Jim finally transforming again

- Quick dramatic shot focusing on the Arcane order still performing their spell, t

- Some sort of cheesy/bad ass hero shot showing off everyone gathered together as the "9th configuration" and ready to kick ass

- Close up on Belroc looking pissed as they realize Jim has transformed and everyone is gathered to fight

- Equally cheesy close up on Jim quietly but determinedly saying something like "not this time" or "my turn" (I can't do dialogue I'm sorry!!!;)

- Jim jumps into fight with everyone following behind

- Final shot of everyone running toward the camera (Arcane order) and cuts to black with Jim swinging Excalibur at the camera.

- As it cuts to black the outro music (roughly 20 secs into it) hits the beat drop at the same time as the credits start!

Cliffhanger-ish ending, doesn't get rid of the whole story, leaves it up to imagination on who still lives and dies, doesn't undo character development, has more of a feel good "HELL YEAH!!" ending to it (at least for me!) Doesn't feel like a definite ending but has enough to still feel like Trollhunters isn't just over and wrapped up nice and nearly with a pretty bow! For me this works and I'm happy to pretend this is canon. Tbh 90% sure this looks cooler in my head than how it's written down, I might get round to making a vid edit for it on YouTube (cus that's my specialty) but dunno if anyone actually wants to see that!

As I said I'm not a writer so apologies for this chaos!! I don't usually post these things that I think about (cus I've also imaged a better ending for game of thrones!) But I just really wanted to share this in case someone else also enjoyed the concept or in case anyone wants to translate this mess into something coherent!

To the surprise of literally no one, the Jin sect children seem to come out of the womb puffed up on pride and thinking they’re at least a little bit better than everyone. Their novice disciples are no exception. The Jin novices’ first mistake was underestimating the Lan class because most of them are a few years younger than them. Their worst mistake was making disparaging remarks about their beloved Master Wei where Lan Xin could hear them.

Modern Cultivation AU. Wei Ying gets tossed out of the Jiang sect after a night hunt goes bad. Cue Yu Ziyuan's terrible decisions. He lands with the Wen who of course are like ... No wait. Shit. He's a fucking genius!!

It's still in the ramp up but it has so much potential and I love a Meet Ugly. This has some top quality high grade LWJ sass, and classic WY and his absolute inability to see his own value.

The modern AU translation feels very plausible as well. Of course there'd be social channels dedicated to the wild stuff cultivators can do.

Anyway. Highly recommend! [I second this rec! It's a 💙 ~Mod Kay.]

Truth Will Out (when caught on video)

Summary: A night-hunt goes wrong, and Wei Wuxian is scapegoated for the death of the Jiang Sect Leader and the destroyed core of the Jiang Sect Heir. As punishment, his core is taken and given to Jiang Cheng, and he is stripped of his cultivation credentials and expelled from the sect. What everyone forgot was that Wei Wuxian was wearing the standard issue body camera that each cultivator wore on training missions and high-risk night-hunts. Struggling to make ends meet, Wei Wuxian finds his way to Caiyi Town with the doctor who performed the surgery, a partial core still secretly in place. His application to work at Cloud Recesses is summarily rejected by the hard-edged Second Jade of Lan after an unfortunate initial encounter. But things change when someone hacks into the Jiang systems and releases the footage of what happened. [First part of the title is a quote from Shakespeare, but this story is not based on that one!]

Personally, I'm a huge sucker for cya and have itysg as a second(however, if we decide to count your other fics then... itysg would be third while your smile makes me smile would be second). I think it's the amount of world building that makes it so interesting for me along with the fact that it takes place before the archon war. Like, there hardly passes a day where cya doesn't just... scoot right over into my thoughts making it kinda hard to reread cause it know it so well </3.

I am sad to say that I haven't checked out BitA yet. When I first saw it while looking for some other fic of yours to read, I didn't really like apocalypse stories much. I might check it out though cause I'm a lot more open to those kinds of stories now. I also remember starting every good intention, but I don't remember why I stopped... I think I had to get off my phone for a bit and just... forgot to continue? Idk I really should check those two...

You really get me Sprinkles- those murder mystery fics are so good! I remember reading one of genshin that was also mixed with a time loop and I just ate it up-(it was sadly discontinued and then deleted from ao3, but not before I managed to download it for future offline reading-) I'm honestly interested in those wriolette ones you mentionned, may I have a few recs if you don't mind? A Match Made in France by oooohscar - not a murder mystery per se but it does contain mystery investigations. it's basically furina trying to matchmake neuvillette and wriothesley and she quickly discovers they work well as investigation partners? and so she starts trying to get them to investigate things together, but then shit gets out of hand. it's so fucking good and so fucking funny. like it's pre-reveal furina but i can forgive the mild ooc and- y'know, furina portrayal pre-trauma-reveal (?) just because it's so well written and hilarious (and also she's not portrayed entirely as a brat, i find her more absurdly histrionic than anything). also it's not just furina pov, it switches between all of them. it's incomplete but updating, and absolutely worth a read

The Gambler's Debt by Marsrevale - much more serious than the one above, this one is a murder mystery through and through. the mystery is still only starting, so it probably has a long way to go, but i'm patient so i'll keep up. it's basically neuvillette and clorinde going to investigate a series of murders in the fortress of meropide (this is a sort of modern au so meropide is a gambling house / hotel i think) and wriothesley is the main suspect, but there's also stuff going on between neuvillette and wriothesley bc they knew each other long ago but only wriothesley recognizes him. idk how else to describe it, it's really intriguing so far, i hope the mystery pans out nicely

Hold my hand, never let me go by Jinnmi - also a proper murder mystery, this one is about what is essentially a branch of fontaine's police force for criminal investigation led by wriothesley and the many interconected cases they have to solve. neuvillette is sent as a consultant to keep an eye on them, but ends up basically joining the team as they all try to solve a big case that seems to threaten the country whole and is also somehow connected to wriothesley's past. this one is very good, the murders might be a bit too gruesome for sensitive people? but still, really nice. i love the unsettling vibe of whatever the one behind this all is planning, the suspense is also really good. still updating and i rush to it every time a new chapter comes out, it had me in a chokehold when i first found it.

Certainly glad to help and I hope to expand on everything I wrote in response, in the near future :) In the meantime, I do happen to know a few OC creators (yanno... one or two..!) Here are some stories that come to mind which are also actively being updated:

If you want to get invested in a singular, well-written OC, throughout the course of a huge body of work - may I suggest @thatwritingho's stories about Olive Axworthy and her adventures as Dethklok's doctor/mortician/babysitter? AO3 Link

If you want extensions of the canon, and loads of backstory that involves not just original characters, but really fleshed-out versions of characters' extended families, then I suggest @fishklok's stories - especially the ones surrounding Magnus Hammersmith, his past, and his relationships. AO3 Link

@gointothevvater has been with us for many years now, and if you're interested in stories centering around an OC pairing with multiple characters in the canon (heavy emphasis on Pickles and Charles) then you should give her stories a read. Most of them are quick snapshots of the life of St. Cecilia Jameson that tie together in no particular order unless noted - it's easy to jump-in anywhere. AO3 Link

I have been reading @sparklecinnamonbunny's stuff since she showed up on the scene last year with her stories involving the musician-sister-PITA of Charles Offdensen, Sunday Mourning. She is usually found to be romantically involved with Nathan Explosion, but an equally-delightful what-if AU exists where she and Skwisgaar have a show-stealing kid together. AO3 Link

Onto multiple characters and multiple scenarios, but still in the "pairing" category is @pan-flute-skeleton's work, which centers most heavily on two characters: Vivi Skarsgård is romantic interest and eventual girlfriend of Skwisgaar Skwigelf, and Kari Naelstrom the childhood friend and eventual girlfriend of Toki Wartooth. Outside the realm of pairing, Pan has also written loads of crossovers with other OCs, and you might find her Happy Hour series to be a good primer for introducing yourself to someone new. AO3 Link

Beyond the realm of what I'd dub "pairing" fic is @procrazedfan's series of stories involving a huge world that is itself building into what promises to be an epic tour de force. If you like action/dramas and prophecy speculation, then I suggest getting to know the OCs of this brave new world -- most of whom are illegitimate children of Skwisgaar, whose relationships with "dad" aren't all sunshine and rainbows. Admittedly I didn't really plan two steps forward, one step back very well. I have like... a general idea of the timeline and of the main events that happen, but I definitely didn't think that far ahead and I keep coming up with new ideas that can fit somewhere in between (hence the interludes)

So, yeah, Roy also time travelled. Don't ask me how. I never planned the context of whatever was going on when Jason got sent back. A wizard did it, I guess???? The only thing I know is that it happened during one of those world-ending crisis events and pretty much everyone Jason cared about was dead, and Jason was one of the last ones left standing

Then, whatever sent Jason back also sent Roy back, but they have no idea that the other time travelled

Realistically, the reason why Roy doesn't try to find Jason right away when he comes back is that... I only came up with Time Traveller Roy when I was writing Holy Interlude, Batman, which was only written after I had already finished the main fic (and the roy part was one of the last scenes I wrote, too dhsksnksjs)

If I had to give an in-universe answer, though? Hooo, boy, I'm really good at making shit up so buckle up:

Roy wasn't expecting to time travel in the first place, so when he woke up in the past he was confused and disoriented. On top of that general confusion, he was back to a time when he was struggling with addiction

Because of this Roy struggled more than Jason with this new situation. I mean, for Jason, this was a second (or third, rather) opportunity. He went back to a somewhat good point in his life, so his mindset was more of a "I can turn this around for the better before I go back", and then when he remembers that there's nothing to go back to he's like "oh, well, gotta roll with it, I guess". But for Roy? In the future he had been doing well, he was living his best life! He had his daughter and his family and friends. Then he gets sent back to a pretty rough moment of his life, where he was alone (again, not very sure of actual dc timeline stuff, but this is my au so I can take some liberties, so I'm saying this was before Lian, even though I'm pretty sure she was already in his life by this point) and when he remembers that there's no future to go back to? He's devastated. I imagine this happens sometime before Dick goes to visit him, which is why he looks worse for wear when Dick first sees him. But then Roy starts doing better because he figures out that Jason is here too! That's his Jason! The Red Hood! He's not totally alone in this hopeless past! And if Jason is doing better for himself, Roy is just going to have to match him step by step

Why didn't Roy tell anyone about his time travel stuff? Because he didn't think he could trust anyone to trust him, and that messed with him too. Was he right? Who knows. He didn't even try because he couldn't stand the thought of his family not trusting him again

Keep in mind that since I didn't plan this from the start, this is mostly held together with duct tape, effort and lots and lots of creativity.

Also, as time goes on, Dick actually brings Jason to hang out with the Titans and Jason takes one look at Roy and realizes that he's from the future too. They're both really excited about this and they start slowly becoming closer as to not make Dick suspicious, but the joke's on them because Dick is already suspicious. He doesn't know if he's more jealous of Jay for stealing his friend, or of Roy for stealing his little brother

hello! I hope you’re doing well! I’m here to gush a bit about how hyped up your TMA/QSMP au has got me. I’m losing my mind in the best way possible, especially about Jaiden’s alignment with the End- I feel like her story especially was so so clever. do you have any other headcanons you’d like to share, or character alignments? I totally get if not (for the sake of not spoiling future fics) but I just wanted to let you know your fics are 10/10 and I’m full of thoughts about them

(So, I'm finally at my keyboard and can type this all out.)

First, the stuff that doesn't contain spoilers. All my fics for statements 001 to 005 are written along with one or two oddballs for after that. I also have ideas for a few more than that. I am posting them out of order to try and give the TMA vibes of the statements not being listened to in order by the reader that they were recorded. (I don't know if I'll be able to keep it up forever, but I want to try to keep them out of order.)

There isn't exactly an overarching plot to the series as of right now and I don't know if there ever will be (Other than Cellbit becoming more entangled with The Eye). I also don't have a fic that is going to be the final fic of the series. It might be a series that I just randomly write for and then one day stop. (I am also open to ideas from people about characters and entity interactions that they would want to see but no promises that I'd write anything.)

Whenever I want to post a new one, I ask my brother to give me a number and then I post that fic. It's also something I just randomly when I want to write but don't want to work on my like bigger fics (The Android AU, The Ghost Rom-Com, or The Hunger Games Inspired AU).

Headcanons/Fun Facts:

Any statement Cellbit makes while Roier is around never goes correctly, he always misses some part of it. (Like how in Statement 002- Itsy Bitsy Spider Cellbit doesn't say "End Statement.")

Cellbit is aligned with The Eye, but he is not the archivist because I can't see him having a more structured job like being the archivist would kind of entail.

The only reason Roier wasn't killed with his friends is the fact that he hasn't killed any of the spiders and because of that The Web grew fond of him and gives him gifts.

Jaiden's thing with The End was just kind of me being like what is the worst entity that Jaiden could come in contact with, and I was looking over the entities and saw that The End can affect dreams and I just got the idea of the bird bones. (After her visit with Cellbit to make her statement, the dreams disappear.)

Jaiden's bird bones are actually from Phil's crows because the crows are more like ghosts than living animals.

The thing that replaced Juanaflippa actually doesn't plan to hurt Charlie, she just wants his love.

Character + Entity Alignments

So Cellbit is obviously aligned with The Eye but in the past, he also had a run in with The Hunt (Which is where like his serial killer past ties in. I have plans to write a fic about that but I'm not entirely sure how or when.)

Roier has his whole thing with The Web but after Cellbit starts his investigation Roier gets contact with some of the others. (It's because of his proximity to Cellbit.)

Wilbur is tied to The Buried. He gets trapped in a train (Think Limbo but without him being replaced by Ghostbur.) but after he gets out he makes a statement with Cellbit and then gets trapped in the train again.

Philza and Missa are both aligned with The End and to each other.

Felps gets taken by The Burried and is like literally buried in a cementary and Cellbit has to find him but since I'm not confident in how Felps talks and like how he acts I don't know if or when I'll write that fic.
