really stood there as this man’s (Chinese, girl) best friend called him first after her thesis defense. before her own boyfriend, a fact he took a lot of pride in. went on describe how the boyfriend hates him because he’s jealous. that bf is going to dinner afterwards with friends instead of her, how monumentally shitty that is. (guess what l*** did the night of his defense lmaooooo) . offers to be there for her however she needs, to meet tonight. ‘jokingly’ she requests a strip tease at her birthday. they have so much more history.

mans starts going for way too much PDA immediately after hanging up the phone . I’m a little cold for obvious reasons but what am I gonna say??? ur a much better friend than partner?? u make me wanna throw up sometimes cause every other Chinese girl around you feels like they can call you with their deepest insecurities, be it social anxiety or unsatisfying boyfriends or eating disorders, but I wouldn’t? because I know who you are and what you crave and I’m terrified that you wouldn’t be there for me? that even if you were you’d resent it? that you told me months ago that you just want to be taken care of rather than taking care of someone and I said relationships are a two way street and you said “yeah, but…” and I didn’t forget?? that I should have run then and there but my martyr complex made me stick around and try to be everything you wanted? that I’m your emergency contact but you definitely aren’t mine?

at some point even he has gotta realize the hypocrisy cause he is calling me saying he misses me literally 20min after I get off the bus. saying that I’ve been there for him more than he has for me . that he’s never felt this vulnerable. that I’ve seen all of him. that he appreciates me.

As a reminder that good exists out there, a coworker recently confessed to me that he found out his child is questioning their identity (kid's gender redacted for this post). The kid is keeping it from him, so he can't say anything to them or show that he knows, but he's doing his best to get mentally prepared and educated so that he'll be ready whenever his kid does feel comfortable enough come to him.

For context, this guy is a big, bulky middle aged dude who loves sports and typical outdoor "manly" activities. As his coworker and friend, I know he's a kind and sweet teddy bear of a person, but his kid probably views him as a stern, authoritarian figure, the way most teenagers view their parents. His family lives in a conservative area, so I'm sure between that, their dad's looks and interests, and the fact that their dad is a Figure of Authority, the kid is worried that they won't be accepted.

But you know what? When he found out about his kid, the first thing he did was reach out to his closest queer friend and ask for resources for parents of questioning children. His biggest fears are that his kid will be bullied or discriminated against and won't feel comfortable enough to be themself. His second action was to find himself a mentor in another parent who went the same situation (kid coming out in a conservative town). The other person is preparing him for some of the struggles his kid may face and the fights he may need to take on as a parent to make sure his kid is safe and treated well.

Something I want to emphasize for people focused on language as the primary method of allyship is that when we spoke, he used some outdated terms and thoughts about gender and sexuality. That does not make him bad. These were the terms and thinking used about questioning teenagers when he was growing up and he never needed to learn more current ones. But now that he does have that need, he's throwing himself in head first because that's his kid and he's darn well going to make sure that his kid feels welcomed and has a safe place to be themselves even if they never come out to him.

This newfound idea that Silco took Powder in because she reminded him of Felicia makes me wanna gouge my eyes out. I'm sorry for being harsh, I guess, but I hate that their relationship has been reduced to Silco's past friendship with Jinx's mother. It strips Silco of his complexities, of that uncomfortable, unhealthy side of his relationship with Jinx that is, in my opinion, absolutely essential to their bond because it reflects just how damaged Silco was. He took Powder in because he saw himself in her; a broken, sobbing little girl whose words perfectly paralleled his own: "She is not my sister anymore", "he is not my brother anymore". Silco fostered Jinx's violence because she needed to become what they - Piltover - feared, all the while Jinx weakened him, held his hand as she led him to his demise. Maybe I'm too picky, but I feel like Silco's and Powder's first meeting loses all of its weight if you go down the "he saw Felicia in her" route. Idk

It would be nice to hear from Wanda and Cosmo! It is kind of nice that you guys have two children like your own family does. Are you two still close to your siblings? Wanda has a sibling and Cosmo also have a sibling just like Timmy and Peri. Do they share some sibling stories to your children?

Wanda and Cosmo both reconnected with their siblings shortly after having Peri. Or, well. More like Blonda reentered their lives once she realized she had a baby nephew. Eventually, they slowly patched things up the more Blonda came to visit Peri.

Schnozmo was dragged back kicking and screaming. Mama Cosma refuses to have her sons live estranged lives now that she has a grandchild in the picture. Schnozmo doesn't know how to handle children, but he's doing his best.

Peri likes Schnozmo because he makes silly noises and funny stories. But he prefers Blonda's theatrics much more and loves playing Dress Up with her.

hehe ghost-turbo haunting felix au

turbo is connected to the last piece of his code in the whole arcade - a trophy he gifted to felix in mid 80s as a symbol of him genuinely caring about their relationships on par with being the best racer. felix also gave him one of his medals and both kept their gifts next to other rewards, but when roadblasters and turbotime were unplugged, the medal was gone with everything else

now, after burning in cola-lava turbo is basically dead, but scraps of his code still were intertwined with the trophy (after all, it was his first winner's cup, but felix never knew about it), giving turbo an opportunity to exist as a shadow incapable of interacting with anything and anyone besides felix, who kept the trophy even after the roadblasters incident

Finarfin Fades.

No one expects it, no one’s faded in Valinor since Miriel. The War of Wrath is won and he comes back, waving off the courtiers, well wishers, and congratulators with his usual grace, and walks into the palace of Tirion. To rooms abandoned since their owners left so long ago. Winding deeper and deeper his feet take him to what was once Finwë’s favourite garden.

He’s so tired.

He’s fulfilled his promise to Fëanaro and Nolofinwë, to avenge them. To make the agony of their final moments - agony Finarfin felt, falling to the floor screaming as fire and darkness consumed his spirit - count for something. Now Morgoth is finally gone, but he’s not the only one.

His brothers, larger than life, larger than death, are gone. With them his sons. Niece. Nephews. Grandchildren. His daughter is never to return. He Saw little Nelyo’s death in his dreams and is sure hopes for the child’s own sake that Makalaurë will be close behind.

Little remains. Even less on these golden shores.

So Finarfin sits on a bench long overgrown with vines and weeds, and watches the sun filter through the thicket, wishing the ghosts he sees in his father’s garden would flesh out.
