Best friend going through a breakup is the greatest test of empathy 😑
#this coinciding with a friend breakup for me has been really enlightening though#and has helped me show more compassion towards myself#I’m learning that friendship was never truly for me#I don’t even like them#but I liked certain aspects of them#the rest I wanted to change to achieve greater harmony#but that never worked as it never will#we just weren’t made to be close and I could’ve respected that and had them come in and out#but I don’t like that#but if I was less attached to who I wanted them to be and more so aware of who I think of them to be without critical judgment#maybe this could’ve been saved?#but I don’t think we’d ever be freinds really#not for long#but idk#that’s the impossible now#and I’m grateful#even if it hurts#I’m happy I wasn’t enough for u

starting ur healing journey⋆.ೃ࿔*:・🩹🎀
healing is so important for us to function and have good quality of life. a lot of the time its easy to brush ur mental and emotional health underneath the rug but its just as important as ur physical health, if not more important. take care of urself…💬🎀
SHADOW WORK ;
shadow work is a form of journalling that focuses on confronting our "shadows" or parts of us that we dont know well, to help kind of understand ourselves better, why we respond to certain situations the way we do etc. it rly dives into urself and ur shadows.
HOT TIP ; if u search shadow work prompts on pinterest they have some rly rly good prompts, thats where i get all of my prompts. i also have a couple posts that include shadow work prompts…💬🎀
the most common way i see people do shadow work, and the way i do it, is by using shadow work prompts and choosing a few that resonate with me. i'd answer the prompt in depth and talk about it in my journal. shadow work has helped me heal in so many ways and i highly recommend it if ur thinking about starting to do shadow work every now and then.
WHAT DO U STRUGGLE WITH ;
recognizing what triggers you and things that u struggle with help you to identify the underlying source. this is called being more aware of urself, so i challenge u to dig deeper into urself and try and find out what the BIG idea is.
some things to take note of when ur trying to identify the deeper reasons for ur behaviors, feelings etc is to look at…💬🎀
♡ what do i value
♡ what do i have the strongest opinions towards
♡ what is something that i think of all the time/why do i think that all the time
by also looking at ur biggest fears, ur strongest opinions and ur deeply held values u can kind of understand what u value most and where ur insecurities and fears stem from. something that u can also look to is the things that u regret...
STRUGGLE WITH REGRET ;
first off, understand that u should recognize, reflect and then move on because living in a past moment is stagnant and u can't expect urself to heal if ur doing so. the only thing that u rly can do is heal from it and learn from whatever u regret so much so that then in the future u dont repeat those same things.
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING GENTLE WITH URSELF ;
practice self compassion!! i swear everyone is so kind to literally everyone EXCEPT for themselves. give urself a break and humanize urself. u can do this by allowing urself to make mistakes and forcing urself out of the shame cycle. you are allowed to make mistakes cuz your human!! stop being so hard on urself.
furthermore remembering to be gentle with urself can cultivate a better relationship with self. acknowledge ur feelings and remember that whatever emotions ur feeling are totally normal and valid. doing things like…💬🎀
♡ journalling and nurturing urself, ur being gentle with urself and to me thats rly important when embarking on ur self healing journey
WAYS TO SHOW URSELF THAT U CARE ;
♡ practicing forms of self care and grooming - ur showing urself the love that u deserve and that ur worth taking care of and putting in effort for
♡ being mindful of ur health through what u eat, how much u sleep etc
♡ walking away from toxic situations, people etc and protecting ur peace in doing so
♡ getting fresh air everyday and moving ur body
♡ focus on urself and your needs before focusing on the needs of other people. you first.
SEEK AND YOU'LL FIND ;
lately most of my worries and the thing that has been putting the biggest strain on my mental health is things that i dont have the answer to. and by seeking help from some of my moots and my friends and searching on my own for answers that satisfied my curiosity i feel like i can live yk? cuz im constantly in a state of wondering and asking myself things that ik stress myself out and im working on breaking that cycle…💬🎀

All Is Well
Pairing: King George III x reader
Summary: All will be well, so long as he has you...
A/N: I’m easing myself into this character with some fluff lol.
Also, any and all writings featuring King George III or Queen Charlotte are based off of their fictional portrayals from Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, NOT THE HISTORICAL FIGURES
“Is he well?” “It would not be proper of me to say, Your Majesty.” “Reynolds, please, you know what I mean.” “He seems well, all things considered, Majesty.” You were walking briskly through the corridors of Buckingham House, Reynolds mere paces behind you. You had been in the library when the King’s Man found you, breathlessly informing you that your husband was having one of his “episodes”
The books you were perusing were left abandoned on the table as you rushed to his side, knowing George needed you now. Doctor Monro was gone, banished from palace grounds, after his horrendous treatment of your husband, and George had seen marked improvements in his condition in his absence. Yes, he still had lapses, but they were more manageable, all thanks to you.
You showed your husband kindness, compassion, and patience when he was having an episode. You may not understand why such trivial things drove him to near hysterics, but that did not mean he was not deserving of kindness. And George had responded wonderfully. All he needed was someone who loved and cared about him to help him through.
Servants bowed and curtsied as you hurried past, and when you reached the doors to your chambers, Brimsley was waiting outside. He bowed as you approached. “Your Majesty,” he greeted, and you nodded. “Is he alright?” “He appears frightened, Your Majesty,” Brimsley responded. “By what I cannot say.” “Very well, thank you. Wait here.” Your Man stepped aside and you opened the door, closing it gently when you were inside.
“George, darling?” you said softly. “It is me, my love. Your Y/N is here.” For several moments, the room was silent, then you heard rustling from the corner. “Y/N?” came George’s voice, and you moved closer to him. “Yes, my sweet. What is the matter?” You took another step, finding your husband huddled in the corner of the room, a thick blanket covering him. He peered up at you, his eyes wide. “She is angry, Y/N.”
You crouched before him, extending a hand towards your husband. Reluctantly, he unearthed his arm from the blanket and clasped your hand, pulling you closer to him. “Who is, George?” Your voice was kind, patient, and your husband swallowed. “Venus. She is angry, Y/N, angry at me.” “I see,” you said. “Why is she angry, my dear?” “I did not go to see her as I promised. Now she is…I am scared, Y/N.”
It broke your heart to see your husband hurting so, and you moved to sit at his side, kissing his hand. “You are safe here, my love. She will not harm you.” George shook his head. “No, no, Y/N, you do not understand. She is so very angry, she will–” “Shh, shh, my love,” you soothed, coaxing him into your arms. “She will not harm you, George, I will not allow it.”
“No, no! You cannot, Y/N, she is-” “I am a Queen, am I not?” George fell silent. “You are,” he answered after a moment. “Thousands of people bend to my whim. Surely a celestial being would do the same?” George had no rebuttal for that, and he nuzzled his face into your chest. After a few minutes, you coaxed him to sit, gently turning his face to meet yours.
“Let’s get you into bed, my love. I will make sure that Venus does not–” “No!” he cried, eyes wide and fearful. “Y/N, you cannot. She…she will not…you cannot…” “George, look at me.” His gaze had shifted to the wall beyond your shoulder, and his speech had become mumbled. “No, George, look at me. You are going to lie down, and I am going to make sure Venus does not harm you. Then I will return.”
The King shook his head, still mumbling. “I will not be more than ten minutes, my love, I swear it.” “You swear it?” “I do, George. I promise.” Your husband was already in his nightclothes, so you turned down the covers and helped him to lie down, tucking the blankets over him and kissing his forehead.
You exited your chambers, where Brimsley, Reynolds, and the guards and staff tasked with protecting the King were gathered. “The King appears to be having a more subdued episode tonight, but that does not mean you can let your guard down. I want the usual staff securing the perimeter of the gardens, I want staff at every main exit point with warm clothes, and I want hot water at the ready throughout the night. Am I clear?”
A chorus of “Yes, Your Majesty’s” were heard, and you nodded. “Good. Brimsley, Reynolds, you have your orders.” “Indeed, ma’am,” Brimsley replied, and you nodded again. “Good. Let us hope His Majesty is feeling better by morning.” You re-entered your chambers, where George was muttering to himself, trembling beneath the covers.
“George, my love, I am back,” you said, unlacing your gown and stays. You pulled a nightdress over your head and joined him in bed, opening your arms to him. Your husband gravitated towards you, snuggling into your embrace. “Venus, is she still angry?” he asked, and you kissed his forehead. “A bit,” you replied. “But she promised to forgive you if you promise to see her the next time she is here.”
Your husband nodded, a wave of calm washing over her. “She did?” “Yes, my love, she did. Rest now, my darling. I love you.” George hummed, cuddling even closer to you. “I love you too, my Y/N.” George soon drifted off to sleep, but you remained awake, watching him as he slept, praying that all would be well.
***
When you woke, it was to find your husband propped up on an elbow, gazing at you lovingly. “Good morning, my dearest,” he said, dipping his chin to kiss you. You happily received his kiss, cupping his cheek when he pulled back. “You are well, my love? Back with me?” Your husband nodded. “I am, Y/N. Though I am suspiciously clean, so I take it I did not indulge on a late night stroll through the gardens?”
You laughed softly. “No, you were rather somnolent. Fearful, even.” “Fearful? What of, my darling?” “Apparently Venus was quite cross with you because you did not go to see her.” George thought for a moment before barking out a laugh. “Of course! It was three nights ago that Venus was at her brightest. I had planned to spend the evening in the observatory, but someone had other plans, didn’t they?”
A blush painted your cheeks, and George kissed you sweetly. “Can I truly be blamed? The doctor said that two weeks after my courses ended–” “Venus can wait for all I care,” George said. “You are the most important thing in my life. And when we have our, both of you will be the most important things in my life. I love you, Y/N. Thank you.” Thank you for understanding, thank you for not judging, thank you for being kind, thank you for loving him, is what he meant. And you knew it.
“You are most welcome, George,” you replied, kissing him again. The King’s expression shifted to a wicked grin, and you smiled. “How long did the doctor say that you’d be fertile for?” “A few days, wh–oh!” Your husband had slipped beneath the covers, lifting your nightdress over your hips. It seemed the morning was off to a rather pleasant start.

More Than Any Throne
Based on this request: may i request a ramsay bolton x targaryen! reader? they are opposites since she is fire and he is ice and she is kind while he is well.. ramsay. he comes to essos to request her help in conquering the north (much like yara came to daenerys) and they end up ruling side by side, and ramsay doesn’t anticipate it but he actually loves her more than the throne?
Here you are! *Familiar Characters are NEVER mine!*
Warnings: None??
Pairings/Characters: Ramsay Bolton x fem!Targaryen reader
Ramsay stared up at you as you sat on your throne. For a queen of fire, you regarded him with such an icy expression it almost made him shiver. "I have heard of you, Lord Bolton. Of your betrayal of the Starks and the Greyjoys. I have heard of the murder of your father by your hand. Word of your horrible deeds has spread far and wide. I see no reason to trust you, especially not enough to form an alliance."
Ramsay knew he had to say something and quickly before you had his head. He was nothing if not quick-witted. "Queen Y/N, I too have heard of you. Tales of your kindness and compassion have reached far across the Great Sea to Westeros. I know my reputation. Even if I should gain the Iron Throne, the people would not accept me. I would be assassinated the moment the crown was on my head." You arched a brow.
"You aren't exactly helping your case, Lord Bolton. Flattery may work on my sister and most definitely would have worked on my brother, but I am not them. Why should I not let you return to Westeros for your, most likely, inevitable assassination then cross the sea to take the throne for myself?"
"Because then the people of Westeros would believe that you too are cruel. What sort of queen allows a potential ally to run to his death when she could stop it? That is what the people would say. Together, we could rule side-by-side. You would be returned to your rightful home as the true heir to the Iron Throne and the people would love you. And you can sway them in my favor as well. If the kind Targaryen queen could love the ruthless, mad dog Lord Bolton, there must be some good in him. They would accept and follow us both as their rulers. But I cannot-" Ramsay cut himself off for a moment. He hated sounding so weak, but he needed to do this. "I cannot do this alone. I need someone like you by my side."
You let out a huff. "Prostrating yourself before me does not suit the 'Mad Dog', Lord Bolton. Once again, your words of flattery mean nothing to me." Ramsay felt himself growing frustrated. You were supposed to be swayed by him, but you weren't. You showed nothing toward him except amusement.
It grew quiet in the hall as your Hand whispered in your ear. You hummed and nodded slightly. For a few moments, you watched him as Ramsay grew more and more irate. It was becoming difficult to keep his temper in check. After a while, you hummed again. "You've amused me, Lord Bolton. That's not an easy feat. I will consider your proposition and inform you of my decision in the morning. You are free to explore Essos, with an escort, of course. Or you may choose to retire to the chambers I keep for visiting nobility. Until morning." With that, you stood and swept from the room, leaving Ramsay utterly confused and, maybe a little bit impressed.
The next morning, Ramsay entered the dining hall to find you already waiting for him. He bowed to you and you smiled at him. "Lord Bolton," you greeted with a warmth that had been missing the day before. Once again, Ramsay was utterly confounded by you. You sipped your drink before speaking again as Ramsay sat down. "Though your proposal was…ridiculous, to say the least, I accept." Ramsay blinked stupidly for a moment.
"What?"
"I will sail to Westeros with you and rule, as equals, by your side." Ramsay began to smile, but you continued, "Know this, however. If you betray me in any way, I will destroy you. Bear in mind that my sister is not the only Targaryen with dragons. My reputation may be one of kindness and compassion, but I will answer betrayal and harm with ruin." This time, Ramsay did smile.
*time skip*
Ramsay glanced at you across the table as you broke your fast together one morning. The stress of ruling over Westeros had done nothing but enhance your beauty. If possible, you had grown more confident, stronger, and intelligent since coming over from Essos. You lead the people compassionately and held Ramsay's temper back whenever possible. People respected you and feared him and the dragons. It worked well for you and Ramsay, to his surprise, found himself caring more for you than for the throne he'd fought for.
"You're staring, Husband," you stated, hardly looking up from the scroll in front of you. "Am I not allowed to look at my wife? My queen?" You rolled your eyes, but smiled nonetheless. "I am only your wife and queen because you wanted the throne and knew there was no other way to get it. So either you're forming some devious plan, or you've come to the realization that you've fallen in love with me."
Ramsay blinked in surprise. The man had prided himself on keeping any and all emotions under wraps. Did he love you? He had his throne, but would he give it up for you? Yes. In a heartbeat, he would. Did that mean he, for the first time in his life, was actually in love?
A soft laugh from you broke Ramsay from his thoughts. He looked at you again. "Did you think you were hiding? Ramsay, my darling, you forget that I have been able to see right through you from the moment we met." You pushed your chair back and rose to your feet. As you passed by Ramsay, you placed a hand on his shoulder. "There is nothing wrong with admitting that you're in love, Ramsay." You squeezed him lightly before moving to leave the room. Ramsay stood and turned to watch you leave. "Oh, and Ramsay?" you called over your shoulder, "I love you too." Ramsay stood still for a moment as his brain processed what you'd said. Once he snapped out of it, he was instantly running after you, intent on spending the rest of the day getting you to ignore your duties and spend time with him.
(a/n: I hope you like it!)

PAC How is the Lion's Gate Portal affecting you?
Happy Lion's Gate portal!
General themes of the messages that came out today:
Addressing the sense of disconnection from being swept up a little too much by the 3D right now, with a focus on the root chakra and resolving stagnation.
--------
Pile 1:
Your energy right now feels like the color yellow to me—so fresh, energetic, and exciting. This shows that the Lion's Gate portal will help you feel more expansive, like you "own the goddamn world today." It's giving me healthy solar plexus energy, so for those of you who have been healing it for some time now, take this reading as a sign that not only is your solar plexus healing, but it's also expanding, and it's happening quickly 😉✨.
I'm getting a sense of lightness from you during the Lion's Gate period. Anything you were burdened by before August—such as exam stress, financial blockages, or something similar—will be dealt with FAST by the universe during this period, and you'll feel like you can breathe again. At the very least, you'll have a reason to be grateful and feel oh so special about seeing the universe work its magic in your life FOR you ✨.
I love it! I see you receiving a lot of help and support in overcoming any feelings of disempowerment, stuckness, and disappointment. It seems to me that you were trying to manifest something specific, but it just did not seem to get off the ground. That's exactly what this portal will give you a boost towards! Isn't that lovely? You'll feel a rejuvenation in your hope for this "failed" manifestation, and you might even feel the motivation to go at it again in a more planned and helpful way this time :)
Ooh! I also see a major boost in your ability to connect with your intuition, grace, and compassion. If you felt like your emotions went numb lately or you've been doing too much shadow work/emotional healing work and have been exhausted from it, you'll particularly feel an enlivening in your emotional body during this period. You might attract just the right things that will help you FEEL again, but be sure to allow it in 🤓.
Your psychic gifts (if you have any) will definitely grow substantially over this period too, so get ready to be surprised by just how much you can pick up. And it goes without saying that when your gifts are expanding, you need to make sure to ground and clear your energy from time to time to avoid floating away haha.
Side note: Try not to fight your new abilities or try to fit them into a particular box if you sense them coming up. Be open-minded when it comes to your own psychic gifts because everyone has their unique ways of connecting with the non-physical 💜.
Overall, it feels like you're having a spiritual upgrade of some kind this Lion's Gate portal! Congratulations, Pile 1 🎊.
And Happy Lion's Gate Portal!
--------
Pile 2:
There's always a pile in my readings that I call the "brain pile," and this one is it. You all have a brain/mind that is incredibly active and in some cases a little too active (I'm guilty of that myself 🙃💋).
Lately, maybe your mental body has been wreaking havoc in your world and disrupting your well-being? Maybe you got stuck in unhealthy patterns of overthinking, irrational fears, and intrusive thoughts? THAT'S EXACTLY what this portal is helping you with. It's bringing you divine intervention in whatever form YOU are open to receiving right now—maybe through books, tarot readings (such as this one 🙃), people, quotes, messages in songs, dreams, etc. You get the idea, right? This is to help you snap out of this almost trance-like state that your automatic thoughts have trapped you in. You're being looked after, don't you worry, sweet pea 🥰—that's a huge message I'm getting for you specifically.
Not only that, but I get that this divine intervention will eventually become a 'mental glow-up of sorts,' and it seems to me that you're ready for it now more than ever. You're balancing your mind right now, and you're getting all the help you need with it because, boy, this is a long-standing cycle you're fighting, so Spirit is like, "we need all hands on deck!"
Haha, that's good!
I see so many detours on your path going forward now, which is all part of this divine intervention. You might initially not understand the ways the universe is trying to help you, and you might fall into more chaos (mostly because your mind is resisting the sudden changes), but in due time, you'll not only find your balance but you'll also find a way to integrate your inner child AND all the wisdom you've gathered so far in this life effortlessly. Your mind was busy fighting these other parts of you up until this point, so I guess that's why? I'm so happy for you, though! Such a lovely thing to experience :)
I get a sense that you'll be living a much richer life because of this internal shift.
Wow. Love that 😁.
That was your message and Happy Lion's Gate Portal!
--------
Pile 3:
Your message is making me tear up, Pile 3. Aw. You're being guided gently to learn how to trust the universe again.
I can see that you've been doing a lot of healing all by yourself, and this work, merging with the energies of the Lion's Gate, is bringing you opportunities to trust in the magic of the universe again. You'll feel supported, less alone, and overall more connected to a greater fabric of existence. You may have slipped into isolation of some kind, and this problem is what's being dealt with on your behalf during this magical period :)
You're going to feel confident in your intuition, and you'll be able to not only listen to your emotions but also trust them deeply. This will build an inner security that you probably didn't know before. If you NEEDED external validation before the beginning of this Lion's Gate period, this time will bring you the necessary ingredients to build that unshakable sense of inner security, fueled from Source itself. Of course, you'll like any external validation that comes your way, but it won't dominate the rest of your inner world :)
Beautiful. This is a beautiful expansion for you, Pile 3.
If you find yourself feeling alone out in the world or feel like you have no friends, that's because of this great big spiritual flush of the old energy you're in the middle of right now. Any energy that wouldn't reciprocate your energy with you, or anything that isn't ideal for you or anybody that's toxic for you, WILL be snatched away like 💨, and you'll be like 😶 but whyyyyyyy.
Spirit sees the bigger picture—things that we literally can't—and is doing everything to keep you on your highest path :) Remember, "rejection is divine protection." It might seem a little frustrating to hear that right now, but it's all for your greatest good. Trust. That's your lesson anyway 🙃😉.
On a more positive note, I see this portal infusing you with so much energy and momentum that you'll be itching to put it all towards something. If you've been stagnant in your 3D life up until, say, July or felt like nothing was changing and it's all the same old same old, then this will change BIG TIME, and you'll be the reason why 😉.
Spirit will be inspiring you directly to make any changes that will bring you a sense of well-being in this important phase of your life✨
That was your message and Happy Lion's Gate Portal!

About DA:TV ending
My thoughts on the veilguard ending, which might be not in line with most people think of it, in particular on the final scene (but I would very much like your opinion and point of view in replies).
I finished the game yesterday and I didn't stop thinking about the implications of the last Solavellan scene, asking myself many questions and the more I think about it, the less I am happy with the fate of the ship.
I do believe that the Solavellan ending is not as happy as many people thought it would be. To be honest, I think Solavellan's fate is particularly sad, awful. I did not intend to express my opinion about it but I am so troubled by it that I need to write it down.
Let's talk about the thing I liked first; I really loved the fact that Mythal decided to "free Solas from his duties" toward her. It implies that from the very moment Solas took a physical body, he was torn between its nature turned to Wisdom and his proud side growing from his actions dictated by Mythal, showing that the many mistakes he had done are as much Mythal's fault than his, which, in my opinion, calls for a fate made of redemption, and hope in a future where he could finally choose his destiny. As a fan of the Dragon Age saga, from the very beginning we know that forcing a spirit doing things against its nature is a terrible thing, and Solas, as any spirit we saw having the same fate in the franchise, deserves our compassion and his friends forgiveness.
However, what is his fate when he is convinced to make peace with his past mistakes? Going back to the prison (this has been confirmed by Weekes on their social media account BlueSky), and linking his destiny with the Veil and protect it as much as he can. And I insist on it, it's a PRISON, so it is very much implied that he is PUNISHED for his past actions.
Are we talking about the same prison Rook has been stuck ? This place of horrible emptiness and despair, cut from the rest of the world and the Fade itself, the Fade he loves so much ?
That means that Lavellan will live with him yes, but a Lavellan cut from her roots, her family, her Dalish clan, her friends she made while running the Inquisition ?
I don't think this is a deserved fate for any of them.
There is as well the argument that an immortal being must be linked to the Veil for it to not collapse, that feels like a last minute narrative twist to force the ending toward a certain direction, and justifying (again) that Solas cannot choose his fate.
Solas is now bound to the Veil by blood, and the implications of this are SO HUGE, that means that he has now new duties that falls upon him (after spending millenias having duties toward Mythal), after deserving having his own destiny in hand. That means as well he is FORCED to remain alive in order to maintain the Veil and avoid a new cataclysm that would destroy the world.
And what does that mean for both Solas and Lavellan? He is condemned to live forever, again, not choosing his fate, and see Lavellan die, for she is mortal. And THIS, for me, is the coup de grace.
Solas wanted two things : having a simpler life just like the one he had while helping the Inquisition, and not dying alone. Both of them are not resolved, for there is no chance that he could have a simpler life with his life now bound to the Veil, and being left alone in the world as ages pass…
I cannot see it as a good ending for them and I cannot imagine anyone thinking this knowing all those facts.
There could have been such better ending for them, I had that idea that maybe Solas could have known the same fate similar to what Cole had, meaning that there was a possibility for him to become more human, even if its mindset and personality would have been a little altered.
An Ancien immortal Elven, choosing to become mortal, and finally making its own choices with his lover at his side with a death he could have chosen. It would have made a wonderful echo to the discussion Varric and Solas while trying to help Cole during his personal quest, and a last hommage to the character of Varric himself that remain central to the story of Veilguard itself…
I know that every Dragon Age game has its story with a certain bittersweet ending, but what I feel for the Solavellan ship is not bittersweet, it's unfairness, after everything we kown of this two wonderful characters…
As I am writing down right now, I feel so enraged by this ending and non said things about it, leaving us with questions calling only, if we apply logic, for dreadfull answers.
For my part, I will let the Veilguard behind me (even though there are some parts that I enjoyed anyway) go back to DA:I in some time and make my own headcanon for the Solavellan ship, far from the one Bioware decided, unless there is a possibility for both of them in the future to have a better resolution.
Anyway please don't hesitate to comment to tell me what is your opinion about it, if you don't agree I'm very interested.

Chapter 4 ✦ Light or Darkness?
prev | masterlist | next
Sypnosis: Y/N L/N is a special shaman from a jujutsu family. Y/N was sent to Tokyo to go on missions to prove their worth as the next heir. With the ability of 'flow', a cursed technique that allows its user to see and manipulate forces of energy freely. Y/N stumbled across Geto Suguru amidst a dark aura, carrying a weight of chaotic and dark energy. Will Y/N be able to help Geto overcome his turmoil? Will Y/N fulfill the lifelong anticipation and succeed in becoming the next heir?
Time setting: 2007, a year after Amanai Riko's death, before Geto Suguru's breaking point. gn!reader. I use they/them pronounce for neutrality.
Disclaimer: This will be a slight crossover with chainsaw man because I needed a mentor figure who is not known in Jujutsu Kaisen. I do not own any of the characters from Jujutsu Kaisen or Chainsaw Man. The characters belong to Gege Akutami as the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen and Tatsuki Fujimoto as the creator of Chainsaw Man. I only own the story plot of this work of fiction. I will also mix in a written story for the plot so it's not just the SMAU story. "Good morning." the morning of your mission, you were waiting for Geto in front of the train station, "Ready to depart?"
"Why are you wearing... Such clothes?" Geto looked perplexed at your traditional yet fancy attire. Let's say it's similar as Geto wearing a Gojo-kesa in jjk but it's more inspired by Inuyasha's clothing with modification. Such attire would attract attention in the modern day of jujutsu kaisen.
"It looks more convincing that I'm a traveling monk-shaman, does it not?" you beamed, shaking your staff a bit to show off the ringing sound of the bells.
"At least the villagers will be convinced." Geto sighed.
"By the way, here's your sweets. I got a few types of candies that are popular in the area of my mission." you handed him a bag of sweets and patted him on the back, "Well then, let's go."
Amidst the hurried footsteps of the train station, Geto found myself lost in the labyrinth of his own thoughts. Depressing thoughts clawed at the edges of his consciousness, threatening to consume him. He's on the brink of darkness, his moral compass has wavered, slowly carrying a malicious intent towards non-sorcerers little by little.
The sound of the train rumbled in the background but you can only notice the silence coming from Geto as you rambled on little things about your previous mission.
"Geto, are you listening?" you realized his gaze wasn't right the whole ride, seemingly just out of it. Just like the time when you two first met at the train on the way back to Tokyo.
"Hm? Yeah what was it again?" he gave a masked smile.
You weren't convinced. With your cursed energy's ability, flow, you are able to sense people's state of cursed energy. Whether they're stable or unstable. And right now, even though Geto smiled, his energy is screaming in agony.
With a soft smile, you reached out a hand. "You don't have to pretend with me," you speak softly. "It's clear to me that your mind is in turmoil. I won't pester you to tell, but you don't have to face your demons alone.".
"... You can tell?" Geto was a bit surprised that you could read his mood, "Well, you did say you can read people like an open book."
"I've been wondering about my existence and goals a lot." Geto opened up a little, "Going on a mission like this, all seemed like a symptomatic treatment rather than a causal treatment to terminate all cursed spirits."
"That's why you've been thinking about creating a world where cursed spirits doesn't exist, right?" you connected the dots.
"... Yes. Sorcerers should be able to live without fear of cursed spirits like non-sorcerers. But all we do is clean up after their mess." he acknowledged his twisted mindset, "It would be better if all non-sorcerers are gone so we wouldn't need to suffer loss."
"..." you looked down at your feet, trying to understand such mindset of someone who's slowly spiraling down the path of evil.
"Say, Geto. Why did you become a sorcerer in the first place?" you asked, curious about the reason why he joined jujutsu high.
"... The strong must protect the weak. Though now I don't know." he admitted with a nonchalant look on his face.
"So in your mind, you think of sorcerers as the strong ones and non-sorcerers are the weak?" you crossed your arms and raised an eyebrow, finding the idea a bit absurd.
"We simply exist to eliminate curses caused by non-sorcerers and protect them." Geto went poker-faced as he admitted it.
"Then, let me ask you this. Which one is stronger, light or darkness?" you questioned, leaving him a bit dumbfounded by the sudden random question.
"Well, it might depend on the scenario." Geto took a moment to answer the question.
Your smile slipped as his answered succeeded your expectation.
"Right? Just as darkness may seem capable of engulfing a single light, so too can a bright light illuminate even the darkest depths of darkness." you quoted, "But light and dark exist to create balance. Light without darkness would be blinding, overwhelming in its brilliance. Darkness without light would be oppressive, suffocating in its obscurity."
"You understand my analogy, don't you?" you smiled at him. Geto's face expression relaxed a little, trying seemingly understanding the conveyed message.
"Well, I don't know what you've been through but like you said, if the strong must protect the weak, then when you choose to become the strong one then you have chosen to help people in need. You chose to become a jujutsu sorcerer in the end." you reassured him, "You could've chosen to be the 'weak' and turn your backs on the jujutsu world. There are many of those with the ability to become a jujutsu sorcerer but chose to be regular people instead, kid. But you didn't. And you're not alone in this." you gave him a reassuring pat on the back/the head.
"Aren't you about the same age as me?" Geto smiled softly as he finds it funny that you talk like an elderly.
"You may be a special grade sorcerer. But you're still young. Don't shoulder too much burden, it'll only make you look old faster." you laughed, helping Geto to get into a better mood.
"... Somehow I feel a bit better when I'm with you." Geto whispered in a low tone voice that you can only catch a little.
But his cursed energy flow is getting more stable so it's good to know that his mind is more at ease now.

My Top 15 Favourite Anime (& Donghua) Female Characters 2024
[Before I get started, I'd like to point out that making this list was quite challenging considering I have watched quite a few anime. So please don't be too offended if any of your favourites aren't included; just because they aren't here doesn't automatically mean I dislike them. Feel free to leave your constructive thoughts and own lists in the comment section since I appreciate amicable discourse. Also, I decided to use the "keep reading" feature to make it easier to scroll through the long posts on my blog, so the official list is under the cut.]
-> Honourable Mentions:
-> My Top 15:
“If you’re helping someone and expecting something in return, you’re doing business not kindness.” Shirayuki is incredibly empathetic and emotionally aware as evidenced by her drive to ensure that the people around her feel cared for and supported. Even if it involves sacrificing her time and energy, she is always eager to help others. At times this is her greatest strength—as it enables her to build strong connections with others. However, on occasion, this trait makes it difficult for her to establish boundaries and prioritise her own needs. This struggle is something I think we can all relate to. I greatly admire her determination, optimism, compassion and resourcefulness. Her integrity, patience and consideration for others is something I aspire to emulate in daily life. Her passion for plants is something I have in common with her.
"I won't lose to myself!" Given that she has become somewhat of a meme in the fandom, I'm sure some of you may be surprised by this, but she was one of the first female anime characters I resonated with when I was young. Although she lacks presence in the overall series, her strong-willed and independent yet easy-going and relatable personality endeared her to me. Even in stressful situations, she is renowned for her diligence, discipline, practicality, and reliability. Her character serves as a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit as well as the value of perseverance and hard work. Her fear of failure sometimes causes her to doubt herself and her capabilities which highlights the struggle we all face with balancing our concerns and our obligations. Her fighting style and character design remain one of my absolute favourites, making me annoyed that Kishimoto didn’t do more with her character. Also, nejiten is my Roman Empire.
“This is a cruel world. And yet...so beautiful....” In all honesty, I'm still miffed by the ending of Attack on Titan, which had me contemplating whether to include her on this list, but I realised that would be petty and short-sighted. Mikasa was one of the first female characters I saw who not only stood with male characters on the battlefield but also outperformed them—which made me look up to her. Mikasa's greatest attributes are her inner strength and innate sense of responsibility to defend her loved ones and fight for justice, as well as her intense loyalty and devotion, especially to Eren. Aside from her strength and fortitude, she also possesses compassion and gentleness towards those she cares for—which I admire considering many female characters in shounen anime are pressured to sacrifice these qualities to be strong and respected.
“Why didn’t I try to get to know him better?” Since Frieren is the newest character on this list, I’m sure she’ll continue to grow on me in due time. As the protagonist of a show centred around the value of life, the importance of goodbyes and the passage of time; Frieren is an incredibly complex, multi-faceted character. Her journey to understand the depth of human relationships and emotions—after losing someone she failed to realise was important to her—is an incredibly touching and insightful one. Watching her experiences serves as an important lesson: to value every moment and to take the initiative to build connections with others—which is something I often struggle with. Frieren is best recognised for her composed demeanour. She demonstrates qualities such as an affinity for independence, a keen sense of introspection and a preference for logical reasoning—all of which allow her to serve as a voice of reason for their group. Her sharp mind and unrelenting curiosity propel her to continually expand the limits of her knowledge, enabling her to innovatively tackle challenges from a unique viewpoint—making her an engaging and dynamic character to watch.
“A-xian is my little brother…When others insult him it is no small matter to me.” While often overlooked due to her immense kindness and amiable personality—her determination, selflessness and fierce protectiveness of her loved ones are admirable. Although not a major character in MDZS, her influence over its more central characters is evident. Her lack of hesitance in sacrificing her life for her martial brother, Wei Wuxian—even though he unintentionally contributed to her husband’s death—endeared me to her. Her determination to rise above her difficult upbringing and grow into a caring, mature and reliable figure is praiseworthy along with her capacity to find common ground in seemingly immutable situations. Her character design ranks among my favourites as well and complements her personality well. She taught me that despite being in a society where one is harshly rebuked or pressurised it is important to stand firm in your beliefs and desires.
“If you must cling to something in order to yield, why not pick up that which you have tossed away and hold it in your hands anew?” While initially, she doesn't appear to be very noteworthy because of her limited role in the series, the brief time she gets presents her in a positive light and her backstory is notably well-developed even among more prominent side characters. Despite her reclusiveness; her compassion, forgiveness and humility are noteworthy—especially when contrasted with the majority of other Heavenly Officials. Given that characters like Xie Lian and Hua Cheng respect her, while Jun Wu and Pei Ming are cautious of her proves that her strength and significance should not be undervalued. Her ascension story—which earned her the moniker “The Princess Who Slit Her Throat”—is a prime example of her incredible selflessness as she willingly laid down her life to protect her family and country despite being ignored and mistreated for most of her life. She remains very grounded despite her status as the God of Rain and Agriculture and is always willing to help others, even if it means defying authority. She possesses no ill will towards those she has had disagreements with and doesn't hesitate to save them.
"Even if it's a short life, burn hot and bright and overtake the moment. That's my way of life." Kagura is best known for her quick wit, tomboyish personality and fighting spirit which often manages to steal the spotlight in the Gintama series. She is an ardent and fierce fighter who doesn't hesitate to express her opinions. Beneath her brash exterior, she is compassionate and caring, frequently using her keen intuition and empathy when interacting with others. She often takes risks, facing challenges directly which can be seen as impulsive and abrasive—however, this behaviour stems from her need for control and security amidst a chaotic world. In a sense, we all struggle to assert ourselves in difficult situations and could benefit from approaching things with a little more of Kagura's zeal. Kagura also enjoys helping others and is incredibly devoted to the people she loves. She is also not afraid to voice her opinions or act when she sees someone in need. By virtue of her strength, humour, and charm, she has not only gained popularity among fans but also established herself as an iconic figure in the shounen genre.
"If you don't hold a rose carefully, you'll get pierced by its thorns." Tsukuyo is best known for her unique fighting style, sharp wit, caustic humour, and compelling backstory which has allowed her to become a fan favourite and a key part of many serious arcs in the series. In many respects, her design and backstory serve as a parallel to that of the protagonist—Gintoki—which adds to her depth. Furthermore, her name and personality are based on Tsukuyomi no Mikoto—the moon god in Shinto and Japanese mythology—accentuating the cool aesthetic of her design. Contrasting her rough exterior, Tsukuyo is shown to have a tender side, exhibiting an innate sense of empathy and sensitivity. Although her reserved attitude often conveys an impression of aloofness and distance, this is just how she processes things and expresses concern, which is something I can identify with. Her most admirable quality is her strong sense of duty and loyalty towards her loved ones, as well as her inclination to prioritise the needs of others over her own. Although she struggles with insecurity and anxiety—leading her to hesitate and over-analyse—she is resolute in overcoming these issues when crucial matters are at stake, which is a valuable message.
“I once believed that the road of happiness continued forever and ever into the distance. When it was destroyed, I realized for the first time that it lies upon a thin sheet of glass. And just as we were saved, there were those whose happiness that haven't yet been destroyed. So, I wanted to get stronger and protect them.” Shinobu is a multifaceted and captivating character who stands out—even amongst Demon Slayer's eclectic cast—largely due to her distinct fighting style, striking design, tragic backstory as well as her nuanced personality and motivations. Shinobu's strongest assets are her insight, and compassion, which enable her to support those in need. She usually has a relaxed smile on her face and generally exhibits a bright, amiable, and joyful demeanour. However, it soon becomes apparent that this outward disposition is a façade masking her profound anger and relentless desire for vengeance. This dichotomy in her persona is foreshadowed by her conflicting roles in the series as a healer and a poisoner. Her desire to cater to those close to her is the primary motivation for her outward façade, which is primarily modelled after the mannerisms of her deceased older sister. Considering we all conceal certain parts of ourselves to appeal to others, this aspect of her character is very impactful and relatable. She also often struggles with feelings of inadequacy stemming from her physical limitations. However, she overcomes this obstacle by employing poison to kill demons, showcasing her resourcefulness, fortitude and tenacity. Although we all feel envious of the talents of others, Shinobu's character is a reminder that we all have our strengths and should face obstacles head-on never giving up on our objectives.
“Although our thoughts are changeable and difficult to understand, the actions we take don’t change, no matter how much time passes.” As a consequence of her seclusion in the Yamei Palace and her mystical abilities, Jusetsu is quite enigmatic and detached. While she is often perceived as haughty and aloof due to her bluntness, impatience and lack of social experience; she is shown to have a tender and vulnerable side. She possesses an inherent sense of justice and doesn't disregard those in need, even if they have offended her in the past, which is incredibly admirable. Although her position as the Raven Consort demands her to live alone, she quickly finds herself surrounded by people, leading her to feel guilty considering her deceased predecessor remained isolated. Her heart begins to soften as she lets others in, but she often struggles to comprehend others, causing her to inadvertently offend them—which is something that most of us can relate to. However, she is quick to mend things once she realises her misstep and comes to learn that it's necessary to confide in those who care about you. She frequently exhibits guilt about seeing her mother die, which leads her to feel that it's preferable to be by herself than to lose anyone else. Her struggles with guilt and constant introspection not only add to her complexity as a character but also make her very relatable. To a degree, we all worry that opening our hearts to others will result in us being irrevocably hurt but constantly have to take that risk to live a fulfilling life—thus making Jusetsu’s journey an incredibly empowering and compelling one.
“I'll definitely overtake you, and it'll be my turn to worry about you.” Misaki is best described as bright, diligent, pragmatic, and disciplined. As the student council president, she is committed to improving her school's reputation, even if it involves challenging the expectations of her male teachers and peers. Before Misaki's father abandoned their family, she was noticeably more tender-hearted and compassionate, but she subsequently developed a bias against males based on her conviction that they were inconsiderate and unreliable. She possesses a rigid sense of justice and sets high standards for herself and everyone around her. Consequently, she often struggles with her emotions, particularly when it comes to maintaining her composure when her private life is disrupted. Misaki is particularly embarrassed about her part-time position at a Maid Cafe, believing it contradicts her strong, uncompromising image, and consequently takes great effort to establish a rigid boundary between her public image and her private life by keeping this job hidden from others. Misaki's best quality is that she never veers off course and gives her all in everything she does, inspiring others in the process. Misaki exemplifies the value of resilience and diligence when it comes to achieving one's goals because, despite facing countless hurdles, she remains committed to her ideals. Conversely, she is overly self-sacrificing and frequently overworks herself due to her inability to trust others. Through the course of the series, she learns to accept her femininity and fragility while remaining assertive and self-sufficient. As she navigates her growing romantic feelings for Usui, she learns the value of having faith in others, as well as the significance of respect, communication, and acceptance in relationships. This process of self-discovery moulds Misaki into a multifaceted character who is exemplary and relatable.
“If history repeats itself, and moves in a circular path, then believing that whatever force is turning it is perfect, is all we can do as we move ahead. Pushed along by forces beyond our control, waiting, for the blade to be swung." Rukia’s best attributes are her altruism, modesty, strong moral compass and sense of duty. Her journey throughout the series centres around self-acceptance and belonging. Initially, she feels worthless and out of place yet longs to be recognised and accepted. Given that she finds it difficult to reach out to others, she never expresses these desires and lives a lonely life under continual strain. After meeting Ichigo and his friends, in the World of the Living, she begins to open up but quickly backtracks after she is taken back to the Soul Society to be executed. Despite enduring tremendous hardship, she never forsakes her ideals or blames anybody else—but instead faces and overcomes everything alone. This demonstrates her immense fortitude, resolve and integrity. Her strength lies in the fact that her heart never fluctuates. Upon the moment of her execution, she does not display fear or regret but is instead grateful for having lived an ample life. However, this is the turning point, as she is saved by Ichigo and is thereafter rewarded for her resolve and steadfast convictions. She finally alleviates herself of the guilt and grief she had been carrying by allowing herself to rely on others for emotional support. She can now confidently confront and overcome her greatest challenges because she is certain of who she is. In this way, Rukia's character serves as an example that no matter what you are faced with, your efforts will be recognised so long as you remain resolute and virtuous—which is incredibly commendable and compelling.
Her enduring and incomparable bond with the series’ protagonist, Ichigo is one of my favourite aspects of her character and the series as a whole. Throughout the story, she is a continual source of both physical and emotional strength for him. In several respects, Rukia's character is a parallel to his as she understands Ichigo's feelings better than anyone else considering she has gone through similar experiences. The quote "The rain drags the Black Sun down, but the rain is dried by the White Moon" perfectly encapsulates their dynamic—with Ichigo representing the former and Rukia representing the latter. Throughout the series, the rain is a potent metaphor for Ichigo's despair, while Rukia is constantly seen guiding and consoling him—effectively drying up “the rain”. She acts as a "ray of light" for Ichigo—despite her problems—who in turn does the same for her. Rukia's symbolism as the "White Moon" also pertains to her technique—specifically her bankai, which transforms her into a veritable ice princess. This symbolism furthers her development, influence and prominence in the series.
"Before I question the gods, there are questions I should ask myself!" Yona's remarkable development from a pampered princess to a courageous warrior is precisely why she is one of the most recognised and respected shoujo heroines of all time. This development begins after her privileged and idyllic life in Hiryuu castle is upended when her beloved cousin, Soo-won, murders her father and seizes the throne. After witnessing this traumatising event, she is forced to flee the castle and is forced to adjust to a harsh and perilous life on the run. She is momentarily overcome with fear and denial thus depending entirely on her bodyguard and childhood friend Hak for protection and care. However, after recognising that the people who were sheltering her would suffer as a result of her incapacity, she began to pull herself together. Empowered by her newfound resolve, she and Hak journey across the kingdom in search of the legendary Dragon Warriors and through these fateful encounters, they cultivate a revitalized sense of purpose and camaraderie. It is on this journey that she begins to realise that her father’s pacifistic reign came at the cost of weakening their kingdom, leading to widespread strife and corruption. Her overwhelming guilt regarding her ignorance causes her to develop a genuine sense of responsibility towards her nation's people. With the support of her allies, she travels around the kingdom to improve the lives of the common people, having abandoned the prospect of revenge. Yona's fundamental strength is shown to derive from her emotional fortitude, compassion and capacity for forgiveness. Additionally, her adaptability, willingness to learn, and strong sense of conviction are all admirable. Although she continues to grow stronger throughout the series, she has always been incredibly kind and compassionate. She is inspiring because she demonstrates that true strength comes from within. It is her immense compassion that not only motivates her to protect her nation and change the lives of those around her but also draws people like Hak and the four dragon warriors to her. Her ability to forego her desire for vengeance in favour of forgiveness is not a show of weakness but is one of strength, selflessness and maturity. She realises that her desire for revenge is outweighed by the kingdom’s need for a radical and strong ruler like Soo-won —leading her to choose to work from the shadows to uplift the common people.
“It’s not always easy to see the good in people. In some people, you might even doubt that it’s there at all. But if you can somehow, find a way to believe…sometimes that’s all it takes to help someone, to give them the strength to find the good in themselves...” “No matter how cold it is now, spring will come again...” Tohru is best described as optimistic, hard-working, patient and open-minded. She is also modest, caring, and gentle-spirited. She constantly strives to seek out the good in everyone she encounters and is always willing to assist those in need—bearing no resentment against those who have harmed her. Her benevolent and amiable disposition effortlessly attracts people to her, making them feel accepted and valued, as demonstrated through her interactions with the zodiac members of the Sohma family. In comparison to the series' vast ensemble of colourful, quirky characters, Tohru is frequently perceived as being too perfectly kind and hence bland—nonetheless, this is completely misguided. In actuality, Tohru is equally as emotionally broken and thus the Sohma family heals her heart in the same way that she heals theirs. Her character is an exemplary subversion of the typical "kind-hearted" heroine given that she faces several genuine hardships that result from her gentle and charitable nature. She is not a perfect saint, but rather a girl who prioritises the struggles of others over her own as she attempts to find her place in the world. Her greatest strengths are her immense compassion, innate empathy and sincerity. Given that she expects nothing in exchange for helping others, her generosity does not originate from a position of entitlement, which is incredibly admirable. Tohru has a strong desire to be needed by others and thus often puts the needs of others before her own. She craves validation and assurance, hoping to be acknowledged as essential and irreplaceable to those around her. In response to the terrible treatment she received from her paternal relatives, Tohru has developed the notion that she might burden those around her, so she rarely expresses her desires. Consequently, she is inclined to internalise any unpleasant emotions and feelings rather than express them externally. However, as time passes, Tohru gradually learns to be more assertive and to accept help from others. Tohru's relationship with Kyo is another facet of her personality that I find endearing. Despite having similar backstories, they have developed divergent perspectives on life. Kyo finds it hard to recognise the positive in other people, while Tohru finds it hard to perceive anything negative in them. They strike a perfect equilibrium as he teaches her that being too unselfish and not sufficiently assertive is detrimental to her well-being, while she helps him realise that there is hope in trusting others. While Kyo is not the only one who sees through Tohru's façade, he is one of the only individuals who can help her face her issues as she becomes especially transparent around Kyo, confessing all her concerns and anxieties to him. Tohru demonstrates the power of forgiveness, love and friendship and exemplifies what it means to be a good person. Her journey towards overcoming her fears and attaining true happiness through strength and determination is heartwarming and inspiring. She embodies hope and compassion in a cruel and unfair world. Her growth demonstrates that being kind is not synonymous with being powerless or meek. She demonstrates that no one is completely perfect—that kindness is a choice rather than an innate gift, therefore we are all capable of making the effort to be kind and compassionate to others.
“If I should die, I'd want to die of poison.” Maomao's story is kickstarted when she is kidnapped and sent to the Imperial Palace as a maidservant. Maomao’s extensive knowledge of poisons and medicine, along with her aptitude for unravelling mysteries ensnare her into the intricate web of political intrigue despite her attempts to remain inconspicuous. She is mature, sharp-witted, composed, and pragmatic, in large part because she grasps her expendability in the Rear Palace. Being raised in the Red-Light District has shaped her into a resilient and adaptive person with a thorough awareness of society's complexities, which she uses to traverse the Rear Palace. Consequently, she has developed a highly practical and pessimistic mindset on life, centred around avoiding trouble and adjusting to her surroundings—which has enabled her to tolerate circumstances that many would deem traumatic or distressing. Ironically, her insatiable curiosity, along with her strong sense of justice and empathy, frequently counterbalances her self-reservation; leading her to become involved in problems that affect others. Maomao is intrigued by poisons and medicinal plants, and she often investigates their effects on her own body. This passion is her primary motivation for her actions considering the mere prospect of savouring poison or studying a rare medicinal component kindles a fervent fire within her, resulting in a riveting shift in demeanour—which is naturally perceived as astonishing and insane by many characters, particularly the series' deuteragonist, Jinshi. Maomao’s name is derived from the onomatopoeia of a cat’s meow “貓” and fittingly she is often depicted with cat ears, which act as a visual metaphor for her ardent curiosity. This feline motif, combined with her proclivity for pushing herself into risky situations and her dangerous fascination with poisons, makes her the epitome of the phrase "curiosity killed the cat". Despite her exceptional competence and charisma, Maomao is not flawless; in fact, her flaws add to her appeal. Although Maomao's distrustful and inquisitive nature makes her an excellent detective, this same quality—coupled with her distorted yet starkly reliable perception of human connections—occasionally renders her socially inept. Maomao tends to shy away from forging strong, intimate bonds or attachments with other people, causing her to be wilfully oblivious of the obvious concern or affection others have for her, regardless of whether it is in a platonic, romantic, or professional capacity. Furthermore, she is sceptical about the notion of romance, feeling that it is more likely to cause ruination than to provide happiness. This scepticism and detachment are probably traumatic responses to being brought up in the red-light district, where someone's genuine affection alone does not guarantee that they will not discard you if needed.
Another aspect of Maomao’s character that I find intriguing is her dynamic with Jinshi which develops gradually and is multi-faceted due to their opposing traits, social statuses, and backgrounds. Despite her pretence of indifference, Maomao's actions—specifically her attentiveness and concern—gradually disclose her growing interest in him. Maomao's development demonstrates her progressively becoming less closed off emotionally as she processes the intricacies of her feelings. Similarly, Jinshi had no intention of growing attached to her—as he merely wanted to capitalise on her skill set and intellect. Nevertheless, he fell for her fairly quickly, with his feelings progressing from possessive attachment to ardent, selfless love. Their partnership is defined by mutual respect, trust, and their resolve to overcome obstacles of the aristocracy together. The series’ willingness to address feminist themes within a historically misogynistic setting adds another layer of complexity to Maomao’s character; since her intellect, competence, independence and boldness defy the gender expectations of the era. Even amidst the competitiveness of the Red-light district and the complex balance of power within the imperial harem— which were settings devised to pit women against one another—Maomao continues to advocate for camaraderie between women. As we continue to witness women supporting and empowering each other; their enduring strength and tenacity is exemplified. Maomao's journey is thus an embodiment of progressiveness reflecting a refreshing standpoint on female empowerment. Maomao's exceptional charm and vibrancy are profoundly compelling, instilling an enduring sense of inspiration and empowerment.
[Congratulations and thank you if you made it all the way to the end. I fear I rambled too much…. oh well… If anyone has any suggestions on what to do next, then let me know. Otherwise, I'm just going to be working on a few asks…]

If Lucrecia had stuck around, what do you think her relationship with Seph would have been like? Because on the one hand she definitely loved him and was deeply distraught that her son was taken away from her, but on the other hand, she experimented on her own child in the womb without really knowing what would happen to him as a result.
I have this mental image of her staying to help with Project S, and while she still helps experiment on him, she’s also always praising him for doing well on missions and training and speaking gently to him while administering mako shots or whatever. And yeah, she’s still doing all these terrible experiments, but she’s kind to Sephiroth and gentle to him, and he just absorbs that like a sponge. He overlooks all the pain she inflicts, because even if her hands were helping peel him apart hours ago, those same hands are holding his face gently and she’s telling him that she’s proud of him for being so brave and strong and I made myself sad
I honestly don't think Lucrecia ever intended on her son becoming a weapon for Shinra. I think her intention was to birth a living Cetra and any subsequent experiments on him would mostly just involve keeping him alive and thriving. Her hysteria at Sephiroth being taken away from her suggests to me that she never had any malicious intentions towards her son.
So in this sort of AU, I could imagine her not being too happy at what Shinra has planned for her son, feeling honestly kind of helpless in wanting to give him the best life possible but growing increasingly emotionally unstable as reality catches up to her. The guilt is eating her alive. And while she does her best to shove as much love and compassion into Sephiroth as possible, she knows she's just as culpable as the rest of them. She's not off the hook. And it's going to kill her in the end.
She shows him as much love as she can. She fights back against Hojo to the very best of her ability. And she's somewhat able to cobble together a healthier version of Sephiroth as he gets older, though his relationship with his mother is always somewhat distant and bittersweet. She dies when Sephiroth is a teenager, too consumed by guilt to the point where her heart one day gives out completely. It's an anguished moment for Seph. But thankfully her presence did SOME good, allowing for some more positive ripple effects in his life. Sephiroth will likely not go crazy in the future when he finds out the truth. His mommy issues have been slightly softened since they were not separated. He will wallow in bitterness after finding out about the Jenova Project, but there IS hope for him. A small chance. Maybe he can find it in himself to forgive his mother for her involvement.
And maybe, just maybe, he can find it in himself to forgive the world entire.

Suyin wasn't "coerced" to commit a crime, neither did she want to take herself out of the situation. She wanted to get her friends out of paying for their crimes because she's spoiled and entitled.
She didn't "have" to travel the world, she was sent to family members to take her away from a criminal and endangering environment, and she decided to escape because she's too much of a pick me girl to stay with the so called family "that didn't show her affection". To be honest, you speak of her as some kind of adult avatar-styled Rapunzel, instead of a teenager who deserved to be reprimanded.
She did turn her life around, and kudos to the creators for showing that. No one can say that her story and background is boring by any chance.
She, however, is not the most likeable character out there to a big part of the fandom, but I seriously doubt someone is taking it as seriously as you seem to do. Just chill.
Istg this happens almost everytime I post something mildly touching on the fact that Suyin deserves compassion too. Though you may be the same anon who blew up my inbox a while back so it might just be you.
I've always found the disdain we have for "troubled teens" upsetting because usually, when a teenager "acts out", there's more of a reason behind it that just "ooh they're spoilt or entitled".
[Trigger warning for self harm and suicidal ideation mentions]
Like, I was a very difficult teen back in the day. I argued with my parents, even got into physical altercations, skipped school, ran away from home at night. I was also going through a severe depression, dealing with a shitton of childhood trauma, cutting on the regular and making multiple attempts on my life. Hell, if my parents had brushed me off as "a kid who needs to be disciplined" I probably would've killed myself at 14. It doesn't excuse me for punching my dad in the stomach when he was just trying to stop me from running away into the night but it doesn't mean I didn't deserve help.
[End of Trigger Warning]
These two things can be correct at the same time. Suyin can have done a shitty thing that deserves reprimand and that she needs help that she seemingly had to find on her own. But like, guess which of these two is almost exclusively focused on.
And I mean, it's totally not like the Avatar fandom has a habit of expressing extreme hate towards young girls (especially young girls of colour) making sub optimal choices or just beind "annoying". I've just never seen that before.
Suyin grew up with Toph, who Lin herself has described like this:
Suyin : No, no. My children are a blessing. Lin: Yeah, mom used to say that too, but she never meant it.
Which btw, still an incredibly hillarious thing to say in front of Suyin's children: "Hi kids I'm your aunt Lin and your mother is lying about loving you"
While Suyin has, as a child, expressed doubt that Toph would even care that she's skipping school. And as an adult, she has described her childhood with Lin as "competing for their mother's affection" and still has doubts whether or not her mother is happy with how either of them turned out.
Hell, even though Su and Toph have been said to have made up, Toph still maintains a heavy layer of distance between them, seemingly dissappearing for years at a time!
It's honestly sad how Suyin hugs Toph and puts up statues of her everywhere in Zaofu and yet Toph still just fucked off to the swamp when Opal was probably less then ten and did not contact them.
I mean, sounds like there's not a lot of motherly affection going on there, dude. Idk what to tell ya. We know there were no fathers around either.
And Lin was also a victim of this environment, so I don't really want this to come off as me blaming her for the way she acted towards Su. But Lin is hardly what I would call affectionate.
So of course Suyin would put so much stock in her relationships outside the house. And her friends happened to be fucking criminals fucking hell. And of course Lin, being a kid too did not know how to approach this situation properly, so she inadvertently just pushed Suyin closer to them by insulting them and making her feel defensive.
Because that's what all fucking teens do. The internalise things, they rely on their peers to form their perception of things and they want to be independent. So when someone, especially someone who isn't a parent tries to control them, guess how they'll react? They dig their heels in. Especially a teen like Suyin who has virtually no reason to listen to her older sister other than a vague "I know better than you" type of vibe which really pisses teens off. That's like the time when talking down to them is the worst thing to do.
And fuck off with saying getting arrested and screamed at by your sister in the middle of the road isn't a stressful situation that you wolud wanna get out of. Lin punched a car so hard it dented! (Especially that Lin has already been confirmed to use her status as a police officer against people she has a vendetta against, like when SHE TRIED TO THROW PEMA IN JAIL FOR STEALING HER MANS like how tf did we brush over that)
What I always find interesting in this scene is the front that Su puts on in front of Lin, which slips up a few times, particularly when Lin can't see her expression. Because Suyin is, of course being a fucking brat and taunting Lin, but you can clearly see that she's stressed out.
Suyin also describing the reason she helped her friends as a getaway driver is something I find interesting:
Suyin: I didn't steal anything. I just drove the car. I owed my friends a favor. It's not a big deal.
Of course she's scared and minimising her involvement but the usage of "owing her friends" could very easily imply her not exactly being too hyped about this, as well as her insistence on not stealing anything.
Because the thing about Suyin is that, especially in the flashbacks, we see her only in Lin's PoV. We don't see her relationship with her friends, what led up to the robbery, anything. Which makes sense, because the flashbacks are supposed to be Lin's. But that means we're viewing Su with the inherent bias of Lin, who clearly has an agenda against Su.
Lin clearly blames Suyin for Toph leaving policework, despite us later seeing how burnt out and cynical Toph was about being a cop. Its more likely that Su's arrest was a wake-up call for Toph, but she left due to the buildup of stress and disillusionment and Lin, who has been idolising her mother and her mother's career blamed it on Suyin in her head.
Hell, even they made up, Lin still immediately pivots to accusing Suyin of being involved in the Red Lotus' attack. Despite the attack placing Suyin's life, the lives of her sons and the lives of her guards at risk and Suyin going out of her way to thwart it.
And Suyin's life is just a fucking mess after this point like: betrayal by close friend, daughter kidnapped by terrorists, anarchy in the kingdom, leaders of 2 foreign governments trying to pressure her into subjugating the people in the name of a monarch she doesn't support, betrayal part 2; child boogaloo, the country she lives in being declared a dictatorship, city under literal siege, threat of attack in 24 hours, the fucking Avatar doing fuck all to help, a desperate attempt at assassinating the leader, getting caught and placed in questionably humane restraints, having to watch her daughter be forced to flee, PUBKIC HUMILIATION, the arrest of her non combative son and husbandd, INHUMANE JAIL CELL...
Do I need to go on? Like the moment the Krew came to her gouse her life just started to fucking fall apart its actually kinda hillarious.
And calling Suyin a "pick me" is just... unfounded? Who's she trying to get picked by? Her mom who doesn't love her? Girlie just wanted a family she literally said so in the show, put your listening ears on, babes.
I understand that Suyin isn't the most likeable character to people. I can understand why they dislike her. She can be annoying, hypocritical, rash, the poor structuring of the episodes around her and Lin makes it so she gets unearned favour from the writers etc. People who like Lin and Kuvira, two extremely popular characters in the fandom have an easy villain in their faves' lives if they just tweak Suyin a bit.
But that doesn't mean I'm obligated to dislike her too or that I'm not allowed to post about her in a way that doesn't allign with the fandom's narrative of her. You're not obligated to read it, hun, you can block the #pro suyin beifong tag if it makes you that upset to see me
I want to appreciate parts of Suyin which aren't highlighted by the fandom and I'm allowed to do that. Just because it doesn't fit with your clearly overtly negative opion of the character well, tough luck. And hey, I gladly take the opportunity to talk about Suyin, but I've also made a ridiculous amount of posts around har and have probably addressed almost every single fandom complaint of her at some point so I'm starting to get a little tired of repeating myself lol.
And I'll be the first to admit, my own teenage years probably heavily affect how compassionate I am towards Suyin, particularly in her younger years. But I know how much people hate "troubled teens", how little compassion thet are given.
The narrative that if a misbehaving teenager just gets deisciplined and reprimanded enough they'll stop being "spoilt and entitled" or acting out is wrong and harmful. It hurts tons of teenagers by not getting them the help they need and it would've fucking killed me.
Also hun, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I tend to use hyperbole a lot. I'm a dramatic bitch. Like did you also think I was serious when I said I'd shoot myself if I saw another ad for Amazon's shit lotr wannabe show?
Tbh everytime I get an ask like this I vaguely consider doubling down and commiting to the bit of being the fandom's "Lin Beifong hater". Though I feel like a lot of people wouldn't realise its a bit and think I actually hate her for real lol.

‼️ HUGE IWTV SPOILERS ‼️(also don't care if there are any grammatical mistakes i learnt english by myself don't judge 🙏)
the fact that every major moment in this show comes with fire is an amazing decision and it has such a beautiful metaphor and correlation with religion like
first it was a church fire inside of chaos, a flame of a human life inside of louis, a massacre, and pain pain pain oh so much pain, and then acceptance, and love, and worship "I saw him, saw his extraordinary aura and knew him to be no creature I’d ever known, I was reduced to nothing" and then some sense of security, a fucked up idea about happiness and a family, and eternity, and it was a rebirth of louis. here inside a chapel, surrounded by dozens of candle flames, of holy fire, under the christ, he found a real god, his god, like a 'devotee experiencing christ for the first time'
fire in storyville, denial of his own nature, torturing memory of the life and a family of a human that he once was, and reality that he now had to face, inability to control his emotions, and the consequences of unconscious impulsive actions, the birth of claudia, his daughter, his sister, his companion, his everything, his claudia.
a burning of antoinette and a homicide of lestat - louis is lost completely, day by day, he's tired and he can't keep up with the play pretend of a perfectly fucked family, with his claudia. with HIS lestat. and he's already torn between the present and the past and he wants to go back, he wants to be loved and be seen by lestat for the first time again, but he made his choice a forever ago, and he regrets it that instant. louis and claudia are reborn again, they leave new orleans
during a search for others like them in romania, it's an old vampire lady who threw herself in a fire and it's opened louis' and claudia's eyes on the reality of being a vampire without hope and guidence, and maybe for a second here, they thought about lestat, and felt a sense of compassion towards him
a fire in a mansion of some reach douches in paris - the first time after claudia's birth when she feels alive again, she found a coven that feels like family and she's riding a bike home and maybe just for a moment she remembered what lestat said about "an experience that feels like eating syrup while riding on the wind". and maybe it's weird but she felt herself being at two places at the same time - at home in new orleans, and at home in paris. "I love everybody and everything in this every moment, right every now!" claudia is alive oh so alive
and then it's an execution of claudia. a death by sunlight. and claudia is strong, incredibly strong, and she doesn't fall to her knees, but it hurts so much, and oh somebody please help me, i don't want to go, somebody please! she turns to lestat. she doesn't say anything, she can't, she doesn't need to. she looks at him "it burns so much i can't take it, it's under my skin, it's all over me, it hurts dad. dad. please. i need your h-". claudia is strong. so strong, she manages to kill lestat just by looking once in his eyes, while being burned alive by the sun
louis setting the théâtre des vampires on fire, not feeling a single emotion but a raging flame of anger after being resurrected. and louis is a dead man walking, two times more literal or ironical this time. and he's leaving paris because paris burns in all the colours of fire.
and then it's louis walking into the burning rays of sun in san francisco after meeting a young reporter, who made him plunge into an ocean of devouring memories of new orleans, of lestat, of his death, of his birth, of his claudia, and it was all so suffocating and it burned and burned and burned underneath his skin, and there he was again. dying. being born. becoming a new louis, an unprecedented louis, a polished to a shine mask of louis, that he would have to wear for the next 77 years.
"The sun as the giver of all life and the vampire as the epitome of the undead, the diametric opposite to life itself..."
"...are we closer to vampires because we too can be burnt, or are they closer to us for it?"

Hi, i have a question. Is it possible that Elain interest on Azriel has something to do with the fact that he looks human without the wings? because Elain saying she doesn't want a Male and him being a male and they almost kissing kinda confused me a bit.
I got a few things to say about this:
A lot of people say this because of this quote (thanks to @starsreminisce for sharing it with me)
Azriel only sat on his heels and offered me a hand up. My flesh burned as I gripped his fingers, a mortifying number of pine needles and splinters tumbling off me. My back throbbed enough that I lowered my wings, not caring if they dragged in the dirt as Azriel led me toward the lake edge. In the blinding sun off the turquoise water, his shadows were gone, his face stark and clear. More … human than I had ever seen him.
Without his shadows, he looks more human but I feel like this was Feyre noticing the compassion and vulnerability from Az than about his looks. Because remember...he's got giant ass wings. We can't just take that away. This is a moment where he is helping Feyre, showing compassion, and he is showing a bit of his own vulnerability in that moment, becuase he is training Feyre at something he struggled with in her early age. He tells Feyre this and explains a bit of his childhood and also the Nephelle philosophy:
“'You’re immortal. You’re very hard to break.' That’s what I told myself.”
Feyre relates being human to being vulnerable. She does that very often, with herself in ACOTAR but also with other characters who show fear: example, this quote when Feyre was describing how she saw the Bone Carver to Rhys:
“A boy—around eight; dark-haired and blue-eyed.” Rhys shuddered—the most human gesture I’d seen him make.
So I have a couple theories on why Elain likes Azriel. And please note: Elain saying she doesn't want a Male and him being a male and they almost kissing one is normal for characters in SJMs story. So many of SJMs FMCs change their mind. In TOG, Celaena was in love with Chaol and he reminded her of home or something along those lines and then they fell off and she's now mates with Rowan. Feyre didn't want to have a kid in ACOMAF, then was thinking about it in ACOFAS, and then had a kid on ACOSF. SJM also isn't afraid of her FMCs having sex with characters who are not their mates, ie Feyre with whatshisname in the barn (I don't remember I'm so sorry) and then Tamlin before she became mates with Rhys, and then Nesta sleeping around in Velaris. Being desperate and trying to find love happens when you're in a low place in your life.
I will be fully honest (and I feel like some Azriel stans might not like this) I feel like Azriel reminds Elain of Grayson. I don't have my books with me so I can't share the quote but there was a part in ACOWAR where we go to the Grayson estate and Feyre describes him to be a knight in shining armor.
The panting young man was so … human-looking. Handsome, brown-haired, blue-eyed, but … human. Solidly built beneath his light armor, tall—perhaps a mortal ideal of a knight who would swoop a beautiful maiden onto his horse and ride off into the sunset.
And then Azriel rescues Elain from the Hybern camp as her knight in shining armor. That's Azriel's biggest thing.
If Lucien was the one who rescued Elain from the Hybern camps and not Az, then Elain would feel more obligated to talk to him tbh. And tbh Lucien would have been watching Elain before the incident and would have never let her get taken in the first place. Mate going feral.
Az is also quite different from Lucien in many ways: light vs dark powers, Az dresses more simply, has dark hair (like Grayson), is part of the Night Court (and Elain might feel pressured to stay in the Night Court and feels the same as Az where three sisters three brothers is the easiest route), and he's also just...not Lucien. Because again, she does not want a mate, which was part of Elain's explanation to Feyre about not wanting to talk to Lucien.
And this might be very controversial but...that bonus chapter? Lucien was there that night on the solstice. The bond might have been pulled tight and Elain might have been influenced (turned on) by that.
Anyways, this was a long reply with a lot of different parts. But E/riel (imo) is meant to add more tension and struggle to Elain and her bond with Lucien. This is part of Elain's struggle with herself and her struggle with fate.

Marchil crumbs part 2
Part 1 here - part 3 - part 4 - part 5 - part 6 - part 7 - part 8
Unlike my other crumbs masterposts I'm gonna be doing the marchil one through different posts rather than reblogs because copy pasting my drafts would be hell. Are you surprised there are enough crumbs that this part got past 30 pics? Yeah me too ngl. Part 3 is already full too, ooh boy
Beginning vs end (chapter 23 vs chapter 96)~ Oh how far they have come
She sees him as dependable! For good reasons, despite him generally staying out of fights, but it's still nice to see her appreciating him.
More of him rushing to help her, and a bonus of the reverse:
Let's keep looking at early Chilchuck & Marcille for a bit. I'll likely repeat myself between parts of this masterpost but they really do stick together and are on the same wavelenght quite a fair bit.
I state my case once more: comrades in disgust. It's more than that too, though! Despite their differences, despite their relationship being strictly professional, despite him dreading her addition to the party at first, he truly does care about her and values her perspective on this.
Chilchuck above is straight up implying that Marcille is the moral compass of the party, and seemingly appreciates that about her.
In part 1, I mentioned how they do argue, but always talk it out and it never turns into resentment between them, but I didn't show examples. Now is the time! Let's see how they hash things out.
She's not offput by his brash demeanor and is very open to explaining. They don't typically tend to budge on the issues they debate, but they do have an earnest conversation with each other and the other doesn't fall in their esteem for it.
The biggest disagreements they've had is definitely Marcille using dark magic and the bicorn chapter, which was a both-way moment of tension between them. It was when she hassled him about a sensitive topic (his wife) and when he lied to her that he had cheated on his wife, because of that during the chapter Marcille is very cold towards him (but even then rushes to his aid and is worried for him when hurt etc etc), until he later opens up andthey have agoodlong good-natured chat about it, by the end they're both back to normal and laughing together. It's definitely the most Marcille & Chilchuck centric chapter out there, at this point give it a reread though we're running a tight ship here and it's 30 pics max.
Ok. Tangent over, back to how even though there are disagreements they don't fall in each other's esteem. Maybe it's more that they trust each other to have common sense really, which is running rare in these parts, but... When they were apprehended by Shuro’s party, Chilchuck isn’t worried about leaving Marcille by herself, unlike with Senshi and Laios. And this wasn’t a decision without weight either, because this is JUST after she has used dark magic, but her letting that information slip and landing them into trouble doesn’t even occur to him. For a good reason since Laios ends up being the one to do just that... It's as much as a confirmation as we can get that he thinks she has the most common sense and social skills out of the party
And speaking of putting stock in others: They strategize together and appreciate each other’s input very often! Part 1 already had some but here some more:
I do like how he gets to manhandle her after he gets manhandled himself so often lol. There’s also smth to be said about him having seen her as an halfling, since his type is blonde halfling women… Bonus of Marcille being the very contrary of enamored with Chilchuck's changeling form:
----
She is the best wingman. Has nothing but best of intentions. She wants to know her friends aka him better!! "I’ll invite you guys to meet my family" from Chilchuck means the world and more, they’re def not just coworkers anymore and man. MAN!!! Chil breaching that bridge for her. Him doing this because he knows she really wants that, AND blushing madly... If you wanna go the extra delulu mile it's kinda like he's opening his family up to her and fully letting her in, and may I add inviting her into his family perhaps even like something resembling a proposal after which she showers him in flowers and lover's gifts and-
Tfw you need to make sure your friend doesn’t get an inflated price/you make sure your girl gets only the best. This comic means they went shopping together btw, despite how he dislikes waiting after people ♡
Nothing to say about these they're just funny:
He do be keeping an eye and an ear out for her
Part 3 is here!
With juicy tidbits such as more of Chilchuck drooling over blond hair and them interacting across a table in the golden kingdom. Very fun very fun

Hey, I know you probably don’t let those hateful people bother you, but I just wanted to say something anyway. I really think you’re an amazing person and super smart, and I’ve learned so much from your blog and your fics, both about AoT and Levi specifically and also life in general. Because of you, I’ve become more aware and understanding, especially about stuff like disabilities and how ableism shows up everywhere. Honestly, I used to be clueless about all that. I didn’t even realize how common ableism is until I started reading your work. It’s awful seeing people attack you on your blog all the time just for writing about Levi’s disabilities. You’ve also taught me so much about trauma (sexual trauma in particular) and mental health. I’ll admit, I used to be really judgmental about eating disorders, especially anorexia. I thought it was just about vanity or being picky with food. I’m ashamed to say that now. I didn’t get it AT ALL. But your writing changed that for me. On top of that, the way you write about Levi’s struggles with his sexuality really hit me. I grew up in a place that’s super unkind toward queer people, so I relate a lot to how Levi feels in your story. It’s terrible that people accuse you of “hating straight women” just because you write Levi as queer. Anyway, I just wanted you to know how much your work has impacted me. And reading your analysis posts on your blog has helped me come away with a better understanding and appreciation for AoT and Levi as a character. Don’t let these unhinged haters get you down! And as a side note, some of your anons and haters need a reminder that fiction is, well, fiction lol I love seeing my favorite characters struggle and suffer because it’s cathartic. There’s a reason angst, whump, and hurt/comfort are so popular. That doesn’t mean we love the character any less. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Hi there! First of all, thank you so, so much! Your words are incredibly kind and I honestly found myself smiling reading them. To know my writing, whether it’s been my fiction or my analyses, has helped you in any way, let alone all the ways you’ve detailed here, is the biggest compliment I could receive. I always hope the stuff I write will end up being beneficial in some way, either in engendering an appreciation in others for the things I love, or in helping engendering greater sympathy and understanding toward the things I tend to explore in my fiction, and hearing you say my writing had done that for you is amazing! If my stories have helped you develop more compassion and awareness toward those with disabilities, either mental or physical, that really is the most I could ever hope for. That’s such a big deal to me. Knowing specifically it helped you understand and have greater compassion toward those suffering from anorexia in particular is amazing to hear, and also to know it made you more aware of how unfortunately prevalent ableism is. Thank you so much for sharing that with me. And thank you also for sharing how my depiction of Levi in my stories has given you some sense of solace with your own experiences growing up! Again, that’s such a huge compliment. I also really appreciate what you said about the accusations leveled against me. I definitely don’t hate straight women, or anyone based on anything so arbitrary as sexual preference, haha. I just like to write Levi as queer in my stories, but anyone who knows me knows I don’t even actually ascribe any sexuality to Levi when I’m strictly talking about his canon character, because the truth is, it’s never an aspect of his character that gets brought up and so, doesn’t really matter in the context of canon. If someone wants to ship him with female characters, or with themselves, that’s fine by me, haha. I seriously don’t have any issue with any ships or any shipping community. Everyone should be allowed to ship what they want without being harassed. Just like everyone should be able to discuss Levi’s canon character without being targeted for it or accused of being anti shipping. Sadly, some people just can’t stay in their own lane and have to actively work to make anyone who thinks differently from them miserable. But anyway, seriously, thank you so much again! To know my work has served as that much of an inspiration to you is honestly inspiring to me, and I appreciate you reaching out to tell me so more than I can put into words! Thank you so much again!

I miss Old Moon. At this point, Old Moon was nicer to everyone than New Moon is. He sympathized with villains, he actually CHECKED IN on his family- kept them in the loop about things- Told his brother that he loved him more than once every six months!!!
I WANT to like New Moon, but they're making it harder and harder to continue doing so.
And I think with Earth's therapy sessions going on, Old Moon could work through his anger issues & other trauma.
No one was given time to grieve. No one gets to talk about him because it makes New Moon uncomfortable- hhhhh How am I supposed to finish this "Sun-gets-hurt-BAD" fic if I can't bring myself to LIKE THIS GUY anymore?!
Old Moon wasn't bad person. That's for sure. But he was very abusive towards Sun. He loved Sun but he was showing it rarely. And believe me when I say that but I'm sure that Old Moon would totally blame Sun for what happened last year. Because OM already was acting as if the trauma he had to endure was Sun's fault. I don't miss Old Moon that much because he was unable to change towards Sun. And in my eyes it's important because Sun was the closest person to OM for goodness sake! And yet he treated villains with more understanding and compassion than his own brother. Nothing can excuse the abuse he inflicted on Sun. Showrunners were showing us times and times again that OM was unable to change towards Sun to the point that I didn't want to watch the episodes with him...
New Moon is like total opposite to Old Moon. I mean his actions are a total opposite cause he really is showing Sun that he cares about him more than Old Moon but when it comes to villains he treats them awfully. There's zero understanding and compassion towards them. Yes, New Moon doesn't realise that his actions affect Sun badly but because his paranoia is blinding him. I'm happy that New Moon doesn't blame Sun for anything that happened. Also New Moon is willing to change but he's too much focused on being not like Old Moon plus his paranoia is getting in the way.
Old Moon and New Moon has so much in common and yet they're so so different. New Moon has his flaws but I think that his willingness to change will help him change. Both of them realise the issues they have but Old Moon didn't want to do anything about that. He was unwilling to change. New Moon on the other hand is trying to be better. He's taking some actions towards that. The problem is that the actions he's taking are not the best.
And Solar the only one person who spends the most time with New Moon besides Sun is unable to stop Moon in his tracks because he is similar in the regard of paranoia and how he treats villains. Both Solar and Moon don't care about villains. Solar is just more calm. Which I believe that Old Moon would have similar approach.
Idk if Earth would be able to help Old Moon. He should had to be willing to take action towards bettering himself. And OM had really hard time with that.
I'm certainly mad at New Moon for being too pissed off at Sun for lying to him that he didn't care even to listen to Sun. But at least New Moon can apologize to others! Unlike Old Moon. He apologize to Sun once and it still was not that good. But I'm totally mad that he didn't apologize to Sun in his last message! Vsjabsksks
Both Old Moon and New Moon are pretty much egotistic individuals and that's why Old Moon was focused too much on his own pain and trauma to the point that he didn't care about Sun's well-being. Sun's psychotic episode wouldn't be that bad if Old Moon was taking care of Sun better. New Moon on the other hand can't extend his compassion towards villains. His compassion ends on his family. I think that it's understandable. He needs more time to learn how to be more sympathetic towards villains. But we need to understand that New Moon doesn't have any reasons to learn that. In his eyes it's pointless. They're villains who hurt his family so he doesn't have any sympathy for them.
But I think that if New Moon was shown why it's better to treat others even if they're villains more nicely, he would do that. I'm almost 100% sure that he'll learn things the hard way by losing Sun because of his bad decisions.
Anyway New Moon has flaws but I'd take him over Old Moon any day.
People can still like and prefer Old Moon and dislike New Moon. I also had a time when I was angry at New Moon with the way he was towards Sun. But when I understand him more now I can't help but to feel sympathy towards him. Unlike with Old Moon whom I tried to give benefit of doubt at first but later I found myself unable to sympathise with him. I don't hate OM though. But I'm honestly glad that the reset happened. Even if I really wanted for Old Moon to change towards Sun I doubt that he would be able. And Sun is affected by Old Moon's abuse to this day. And it still affects Sun the most. More than any other experience in his life.
Another important thing is that both Old Moon and New Moon has questionable morals but I think that people are seeing that more in New Moon because he hates their blorbo villains. On the other hand I still see that some people don't see how much Old Moon was abusive towards Sun which irks me tbh...
It seems that we have to agree to disagree. But that's okay with me ^^
In addition I say that New Moon's experience is pretty similar to New BM's and now New Eclipse's because all of them had their past be shown to them. They experienced their past in third person's p.o.v. It's very interesting and I think that it's intentional.

OH GOD, EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING, EVERYTHING'S GOING ON-
I AM SCREAMING, KICKING, CRYING, RUNNING UP MY WALLS, DRAMATICALLY THROWING MYSELF ON THE GROUND AND WAILING-
FIRST SAMS FUCKING PUNCHES AND KNOCKS ME TO THE GROUND, AND THEN MGAFS GIVES ME THE FINISHING BLOW- FUCK EVERYTHING-
OH GOD, WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN-
First of all, we finally reunited with old Moon…BY GOD, DID I MISS THIS SNARKY BASTARD- I am so happy, to see him again!!! He's so nonchalant and blunt, especially towards people outside of his family- It makes me so nostalgic!! His similarlities to Eclipse are clearer than ever, honestly!
Everything about it just makes me so emotional, I can't even begin to describe it-
He's on that same old beach where he gave up his life, the same old beach where he showed empathy and compassion more than ever before, the same damn old beach where he was the more selfless than he'd ever been- It is making me sick to my stomach/pos
He still loathes himself so much, still looks down on himself and his mistakes. He has never been able to let go of it, he'll always hold on to the mistakes he made. One of these mistakes is leaving a part of his code behind, which in turn created Eclipse. His hatred for him comes from the hatred of himself, because Eclipse is the embodiment of everything he hated in himself.
But even though he hates himself, even though he buried himself underneath a mountain of mistakes, he will never regret protecting his family. He has always been a big brother, always been a protector, no matter what! Even after everything, they are the only thing on his mind. I'm going to fucking cry, man-
God, he adores them so much! Everytime he talked about them, I teared up!
He adores and treasures Sun with all of his heart, and only wishes for him to be safe and sound and happy! He knows his brother, knows he's blaming himself, and wants so badly to put a stop to it! But he can't, because that would involve a conversation, and he cannot bare to hurt him more than he already has.
He wants to thank Monty, who has been his emotional support, his best friend. Old Moon is anti-social, apathetic towards anyone outside of his family, even another version of himself, yet Monty got through to him, time and time again. Monty, in their own right, was family too! The two of them always got each other out of the gutter.
God, when he talked about Lunar and Earth, I legit started to cry a little-
He always wanted a sister. He always wanted a little brother. He wished he could've met them, wished he could've gotten to know them, wished to have loved them as much as he loved Sun!
He did know Lunar, but he never had the chance to truly get to know them. Everything he said about them is honestly just so sweet, and shows old Moon beyond his shell.
They were just a kid in a shitty situation, made with a purpose they never wanted.
Old Moon has a hard time caring for others, yet he looked at this child, who needed help and guidance, and took them underneath his wing without hesitation. Tragically, though, he always kept his distance. I don't think, he quite saw, how much they looked up to him. He always kept them at arms length, because he had hurt one brother, and was afraid to hurt another, afraid to open his heart. Yet, despite this distance, he would've ripped Eclipse apart for what he did, without mercy.
God, I can only imagine what his dynamic with everyone would've been like, especially with Earth, who is so incredibly different from him!
Old Moon is such an intriguing character to look at! Especially with how obviously different he is from New Moon!
I want to analyze him so bad, but my brain just won't cooperate👀
I'm really glad, New Moon got his reassurance though, and even learned from Old Moon, it seems!
Now, as for MGAFS….NO, GOD NO, PLEASE EVERYTHING BUT THIS-
THEY WEREN'T JUST SEPARATED- THEY WERE PERMANENTLY TORN APART, NEVER TO REUNITE AGAIN- THEY CAN'T DO THIS, I CAN'T HANDLE THIS-
BLOODMOON'S REACTION TO HIS BROTHER'S DEATH- HE TRIED SO HARD TO KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE, BUT THE MOMENT THEY TRIED TO LEAVE, HE STARTED YELLING- HE HAS NEVER BEEN ALONE, ALWAYS ONE HALF OF A WHOLE. NOW HIS OTHER HALF IS GONE, AND HE IS ALONE, AND HE WILL NEVER BE WHOLE AGAIN-
I ALSO READ YOUR INTERPRETATION OF BLOODMOON'S LAST LINE, AND IT HAS BROKEN ME- THEY COULD'VE BEEN GOOD. THEY COULD'VE BEEN FRIENDS. THEY JUST DIDN'T WANT TO BE CHANGED, DIDN'T WANT TO BE LIKED AS SOMEONE THEY'RE NOT. THEY JUST WANTED TO BE THEMSELF, YET THEY NEVER WOULD'VE BEEN ACCEPTED THAT WAY-
XERO, WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME-
-Stardust
YESSSSSYESYEYSES I DIDN'T TALK MUCH ABT THE TSAMS EP BC I GOT SO DISTRACTED BY MGAFS BUT EVERYTHING U SAID FOR REAL !!!!!! THE BEACH AND THE CONVO THEY HAD AND AAUAGGGHH
I was honestly so worried that there was going to be a sudden change in how Old Moon acted but seeing him just still wholeheartedly be him made me experience sooo many emotions. Like u said, the similarities between him and Eclipse are just wholly on display and it's like,, oh yea! you are who he stems from!
AND YEAH ALL HIS SENTIMENTS ABT MONTY + SUN + THE BROTHER N SISTER HE NEVER GOT TO KNOW. BURSTS INTO TEARS!!!!! For how little people he cared about, he made up for in caring about that small handful of people with his whole entire soul, even if that care could be convoluted and confusing and ultimately hurtful, he never wanted it to be like that. He just wanted the best :(
AND THEN THE LAST MESSAGE FOR NEW MOON AUGHHH I CAN'T EVEN. DIES EVERYWHEREEEE
AND THEN MGAFS. FUCK. I KNOWWWW I KNOW I KNOW IT FUCKED ME UP SO BADDD. THE FINAL BLOODMOON'S DESPERATE YELLING AT THE END FUCKED ME UP EVEN WORSE TO TOP IT ALL OFF I CAN'T EVENNNN.
AND SHAKES YOU SHAKES YOU THEY COULD HAVE BEEN SO EASY TO ACCOMMODATE FOR IT DRIVES ME INSANE!!! THEY WANTED CONTROL OVER THE ONE THING THAT IMPACTS THEM THE MOST, OF COURSE THEY WOULD HAVE DENIED ANYTHING ELSE!!!! THEY COULD HAVE HAD IT ALLLLL AAAAOAUHGHHHH
