Sorry guys, but if the Australian Government forces me to give them my ID to use social media, I'm outta here! ✌️😗 They've already leaked my personal details to the Dark Web before because some dickhead opened a PHISHING EMAIL SCAM and did nothing to fix it :)))))

May Allah Bless and care for those caught in the Gaza conflict. May YHWH Curse those who carry out and support the genocide May God Guide the protesters to achieve justice for those hurt and already lost.
From the river to the sea, Gaza will be free.

On the 27th of October 2023, just a few days ago my sister texted me thay her Israeli jewish boyfriend who went back to "protect his home" texted her that he didn't have his phone and it could be 4 days to 4 months before he had it again. So I called my sister and calmed her down.
Today, I found out that Israel has cut off Gaza's internet access and is currently invading Gaza. He is most likely apart of those Israel soldiers.
I feel fucking sick knowing my sweet twin sister's boyfriend is actively participating in this fucking genocide.
I can't fucking post about this anywhere else because it might put that cunt in danger and my sister in a horrid mental state in turn. I only have like 150 follows on Tiktok but I should still be posting, but if I do, my parents will be fucking pissed and my sister will loose one of her few support people. (She is at risk of unaliving herself)
Who the fuck am I to complain!?!?!? There is a genocide happening to so many people and I feel like I can't do shit but post on tumblr, boycott, and fucking repost and comment on my anonymous backup titok account.
I should be doing more, but no one is listening to me and I can't disagree with my sister. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
I doubt anyone will read this, but writing this for the tumblr void is better than writing in a journal. FUCK

Seeing all the discussions between USAmericans lately about the presidential election is so frustrating because like. y'all know you're going to have a president even if you don't vote for one, right?
It just feels like such a self-indulgent approach to morality because the only thing not voting does is coddle the feelings of the person refusing to vote bc they can be like 'well at least it's not MY fault'
Like the trolley problem isn't really about whether more or less death is better - less death is self-evidently better. That part is taken for granted. It's about your personal willingness to take an active role in the situation - to feel responsible for the outcome.
But the USA will have a president after the election and I haven't actually seen anyone arguing that trump would be the better choice, just that harris is also evil and voting for either candidate makes you morally repugnant. But listen. Listen. refusing to participate in the election doesn't absolve you from the outcome - it just shows you care more about your personal sense of moral superiority than the lives of the thousands of people worldwide who will be impacted by the results of the election and don't get a say.
Obviously we'd all prefer if there was an option on the ballot other than "genocide" and "more genocide than the other guy" but I'm seriously yet to see anyone who argues against voting harris properly acknowledge that if you don't vote then the election still has a winner.
If you're able to vote in the US presidential election then your hand is already on the lever. You're already involved. Choosing to walk away because 'they're both bad' does not morally absolve you from the outcome of the election, it just coddles your personal feelings.
It just feels like such a short-sighted and egocentric view on morality to go "well I'M going to remain morally pure. I'M not going to vote so I'M not culpable for whatever happens." Yes you are. You had the opportunity to pull the lever and you chose not to. Can you genuinely, hand to god, look me in the eye and tell me you think trump is the better choice. One of them IS going to be president and if you don't vote for kamala it IS going to be trump. The system sucks but if you're within it you have to choose one. There's no opting out if you opt out that's just a vote for the other guy so who are you picking.

i'm so tired of the fact i can't earn normally, all my other friends have jobs and i'm here like "guess i'll just wait for money to magically appear"
the fact that i, a disabled teen for whom the looming spectre of university payments (not as bad as the US but still a lot) is in my every day life, have absolutely no quote unquote "regular" jobs i can do is extremely stressful and i think it's just severe flaw in the system that it works like this, tying in the flaws in the medical system that my parents have to pay thousands of dollars for an autism diagnosis and no doctor is going to agknowledge the amount of pain i'm in, so i couldn't get accomodations at a job, or qualify for NDIS so i'm just stuck here stressed with my only options being trying to do something on the internet, or ruin my body by forcing myself to work a regular job

i think some people dont understand how technologically illiterate australians are. NFTs were wholeheartedly accepted on a wide scale in the freelance artist sphere. It was just considered a new tech bubble to exploit and there was zero understanding of how they worked. No one cared to find out how detrimental they were. Idk about other countries, but crypto is also still weirdly still supported. There's crypto "atm machines" at the local shopping centre? I've never seen anyone use them.
on a broader scale, i feel like the whole "no one wants to know" thing is a pretty good way to describe the masses in australia. We (myself included) are uneducated on real world issues, it takes a great deal of personal effort to find out anything about our own backyard. People don't want to know the REALITY of why there are so many homeless people, why our native animals are dying, why first nations peoples are so disenfranchised, why so many are unemployed. They want to blame everything on individuals making poor decisions - nothing is ever influenced by racism/sexism/ableism. And so therefore nothing changes.

Throwback to that time I was six month into my law degree and decided to use it; had a landlord who was letting the place cave in with mould, sparking power switches, faulty hot water system that would randomly spit scalding water, the works, basically, plus they would always be harassing me for money, not rent money just 'I need $500 for a new phone pay me or move out', they'd also break into my mailbox regularly, and refused to sign any rental paperwork because they were tryna defraud the first home owners scheme, basically they were just an entire sack of shit, anyway, so rental laws are actually one of the few areas that are totally on the side of the more vulnerable (i.e. renters) and most landlords will blow a lot of hot air about what they're gonna do, but in reality, they can't do shit. So I moved out, no notice, no nothing, just stopped paying rent, I also sold all the whitegoods and furniture provided with the apartment on eBay, bc it didn't say nothing about no furnishings in the lease this dumbass wouldn't sign, those goods were mine now lmao, and she breaks into the apartment one day and finds it bare-ass empty, starts blowing up my phone over how she's gonna drag me through the court over the stuff I 'stole' and the rental arrears and whatever else, and I was just like 'well gee alright, if you think so, but I'd hate to trip on my way to court and just accidentally fall into a government office and then blurt out about how *name redacted* is defrauding the government to the tune of millions of dollars, and oopsy look at all the written evidence I dropped and is flying around in the air, all those letters you sent to my address, tryna make out you lived there, like I dunno if you want to risk it, I'm not supposed to give legal advice as a law student, but my legal advice is maybe just buy a new fridge sweetie, it'll cost you less than bothering me any further uwu' and tbh I basically became the female Saul Goodman at that point lmao

Man I love what my ADHD meds have done for me in a lot of ways, but what I don't love is how fast they wear off with no way around it (I'm on max dose, yeah I've tried fucking with the timing, it's either 'I'm awake for a chunk' or 'awake for tiny bits but feel worse because big tired in between') which now means I'm considering putting my head in the magnet machine (transcranial magnetic stimulation) in terms of 'can we fix my depression already' and it's just big oof (and expensive).
Problem is, I am honestly really wondering given I feel at this point the world would have to change to fix my depression (I have figured out - I am no longer the problem) if it will even DO anything :V
