in the wake of Lance’s return and Zarkon’s defeat, team Voltron is dealing with major changes in both universes. Lance finds himself standing in the shadow of a missing leader, while Takashi is dealing with the loss of his leader and love. Meanwhile, the Galra Empire finds itself in need of new leadership to keep itself from fracturing beyond repair.

keith with an avoidant and lance with an anxious attachment style.

lance who gets nervous with the slightest of change and starts clinging to keith, asking if he still loves him. keith who gets overwhelmed and isolates himself.

together they learn to meet in the middle and communicate when they’re triggered. lance has to learn that when keith needs space it’s not a rejection and keith has to learn that lance‘s need for reassurance isn’t trying to control or suffocate him.

lance who is insecure at the beginning of their relationship because while lance fought tooth and nail to get keith‘s attention, keith was always focused on something else.

so now, lance can’t wrap his head around the fact that keith is even looking his way, that he has been deemed special enough.
