I was originally going to post this before the year ended but I'm slow so I'm posting it now

alright so basically I thought I'll just put a short list of some of my fav drv3 things I read in 2024

as a warning most of them are one shots because I'm a big fan of short and sweet stuff :]

(it's also 90% saimota fluff because I am what some call a tooth-rotting fluff enjoyer)

oh and also there's drv3 spoilers in these!

-heh canon-compliant saimota fluff my beloved -shuichi has sleeping issues and so he takes he most hetero approach to the solution by sleeping in his friends bed for several days in a row. not gay

-this one is an entirely 1st person afterlife(?) Kaito monolougue with no other characters, but some are mentioned- and it's implied saimota- it's written just like kaito would write it I feel and it's wonderful

-momota gets some free hugs :] saihara's also there and you guessed it- saimota how lovely

-saimota post-canon (the killing game was a simulation au) shuichi cries a lot and I was crying with him

-high school au with tenkaede and (less prevalent but it's certainly there)saimota! gay panic ahoy

-(below) a rare multi-chapter fic with post-game saimatsu! it's not super romantic and I love it for that

-insanely pining saihara that makes me want to explode I love it so much (and for kaito no less)

-just a pretty sweet saimomoharu fic (with pining saihara included! my favorite)

-post ch 4 saimota! shuichi has a nightmare and runs to kaito but their relationship is still fairly shaky at this point because of what happened in the trial (ough)

-okay so this last one isn't a shipfic in the slightest but I really wanted to add it to the list because this is one of my favorite drv3 fics I've ever read(it might actually be my favorite now that I think about it)

I've read a lot of story focused canon compliant drv3 fics this year(didn't put them on this list though because this was supposed to primarily be shipfics but I broke that rule to add just this one lol) and this is just incredibly written overall and a perfect characterization of saihara

as for my actual 'summary', it's a despair disease drv3 au that's shuichi centered! I've been wanting to see a despair disease motive fic for drv3 and this went far beyond my original expectations

and yeah that's it for now! as a sidenote, my ao3 account has been busted for a while(something I plan to try to fix this year lol) and that's why you won't see me writing massive paragraphs in the comments under all of these

but once I get that fixed you better believe I'm going to be word-vomiting my praises for these works all over the place :]

Ok here's attempt two!!!! Here's my made-for-fun redesign of Loop!

They've got a blackhole in their head, the chains are connected to the universe and fade off (though for more literal, are attached to the Favor Tree)

not fully sure about the silhouette or the outfit in general but!!! its a step in the right direction

hehe ghost-turbo haunting felix au

turbo is connected to the last piece of his code in the whole arcade - a trophy he gifted to felix in mid 80s as a symbol of him genuinely caring about their relationships on par with being the best racer. felix also gave him one of his medals and both kept their gifts next to other rewards, but when roadblasters and turbotime were unplugged, the medal was gone with everything else

now, after burning in cola-lava turbo is basically dead, but scraps of his code still were intertwined with the trophy (after all, it was his first winner's cup, but felix never knew about it), giving turbo an opportunity to exist as a shadow incapable of interacting with anything and anyone besides felix, who kept the trophy even after the roadblasters incident
