Taking a rest day but I have to doodle at least a bit, and. Currently agonizing over if Moe should also be equipped w the Breidablik for loadbearing canon lore reasons. Which, I have MANY grievances about, from "Gee Moe why do you get TWO weapons this isn't a main series title where you can do that" to "Moe is A STAFF USER. FULL STOP. ALWAYS HAS BEEN." to "oh fucking god I do NOT want to learn How To Draw That."
But. Looking at the artbook. I had a Vision
Very minimal mockup but. That little thing, there. You could put a keychain on that. You could put little charms on that. You could. You could...
#i'm not quite redesigning moe but i am playing w a few diff concepts.#one i wish i could make work is some kind of askran noise cancellors. worn like headphones/earbuds but in that Style#the ideas are cute but i don't think they really work on moe. and the piercings being the primary focus is important to me#still. it would be neat to have a chara who uses visible disability aids. esp in a setting like feh w all the context of feh#ultimately a lot of moe's most important design features would get lost if you added too much to the head area though...#beyond that i'm testing adding more practical elements. a way to carry items...#something that ties into how a lot of the charas designs esp the askr siblings have strappy belts ect ect#maybe even something that evokes kink imagery. while honoring moe's particularness about pants#has to keep the animal hind legs like shape and has to not cling to the thighs. ect ect ect#i'm def just throwing spaghetti at the wall though. focally has to be easy enough to draw too#esppp to mirco organism it. that is FOCAL w my art#but i have been forcing myself to learn how to do alfonse's leg armor....... so........#ect ect ect main point. consider my visions boy. #pdbc#I love him. he’s the sole descendant of a royal family and. if you’ll pardon the pun. is royally fucking things up for himself#he could do so much in life and instead decides to be the next Gordon Ramsay……..such wasted potential#did. did I ever mention that part of him. his clan is called the Ramsay clan after all#he wants to be Gordon Ramsay sooooo fucking bad…….#big theater kid gone wrong energy from him#so many of my posts this year have been pdbc related. it Will happen again.#< (in my defense I’m working on other non-pdbc stuff !! but pdbc stuff is easy to make because I don’t have to think about it)#once I’m not so burnt out I’m really excited to design bingo….not even going to attempt to rn#I hate designing outfits but I’m actually looking forward to his bc he has a horrid mix of royal garments and astereotypical butcher outfit#speaking of butchers. butcher vanity? great song absolutely fits him. cannot stop listening to it#surprisingly him being like. a literal cannibal isn’t even all he does. that’s just a…little quirk of his#like ya’d think him eating people would be more important but nah. he’s a POET and a MAGICIAN 😤😤#I’d say he’s one of the most evil characters but…..kinda all of my characters are#sure bingo tries to eat people and bomb people’s homes but there are side characters who put acid in the water supply and aren’t punished#so bingo’s just par for the course honestly#the best thing he’s ever done is install an air conditioning unit. there wasn’t one before bc Mole (his mom) didn’t like them—#—which resulted in people keeling over from heat exhaustion a lot so. good job for fixing that bingo#it’s the bare minimum but that’s pretty good for him so he can have a round of applause for that#I think I might have mentioned Gerbombs in passing but I love them sm#they’re gerbils genetically engineered to blow up when pressure is placed on them#they’re adorable. thankfully they have no concept of death so they’re just chilling with no worries in the world#before you get sad. Sushi rescued most of the Gerbombs and now cares for them so happy ending#no Gerbombs shall die under her watch. I don’t think I could deal with it if too many Gerbombs died#although they’re called Gerbombs they’re actually more physically close to jerboas#they’re so cute. I should draw a Gerbomb sometime#(I should also probably rename them jerbombs considering they’re not gerbils but ehhhhhhhhhhhhh)

I think its quite easy to understand where its coming from tbh#because when you have show like rwby - where when a new character gets introduced its most likely forgotten in the corner quite quickly#so its like okay damn I guess ill just think about how this character is cool as a concept/in theory#so we have Weiss who is one of the main characters and easily one of the best in the show#people often like exploring characters they like; her family; what are they like? how can they affect the story or other characters?#Whitley comes from the same background of being repressed like Weiss was but unlike her or Winter; he doesnt seem much like a fighter#how does that shape him? he cant use the same escape route as his siblings? I think it would make sense for him to be bitter#or maybe Whitley just needs a better PR team who are willing to come up with cute design for him and neat weapon lol#make him into a cute girl#give him a boyfriend#give him a voice inside his head to rival the other voice inside young boys head#make him summon edgar allan poe#man Im not going to beat the Whitley liking allegations after these tags
