National Ice Cream Soda Day
Whether it’s sitting in your backyard with family and friends, out at a restaurant, or at a specialized ice cream vendor, you won’t regret having an Ice Cream Soda.
National Ice Cream Soda Day is celebrated annually on June 20th. This day is certainly loved and celebrated by many people across the globe, where they enjoy this popular drink. Since this drink has become an increasingly popular refreshment for everyone it has sometimes been referred to as a soda float.
Therefore, you should invest some time in slurping this frothy wonderment up a stripy straw. The drink is comprised of only a couple of scoops of ice-cream in any carbonated beverage. An ice-cream soda is perfect to cool you down on a sizzling June summer day and offers a refreshing snap that leaves you yearning for more.
Ice cream soda has definitely made a huge impression across the entire world. Also famously known as an ice cream float in places like the United Kingdom, USA, Africa, Canada, and East Asia. There are many other names that have risen right across the globe including, coke float in the United Kingdom and South East Asia, A spider in New Zealand and Australia, and a Helado Flotante in Mexico. Yes, that’s right you can even grab yourself a refreshing ice cream soda when holidaying in Mexico. And what a better place to enjoy this lovely beverage?
History Of National Ice Cream Soda Day
Ice Cream Soda day is a day that is dedicated to the commemoration of the famous ice cream soda, a delicious, creamy, and frothy drink. Surprisingly, this drink was a completely accidental discovery. However, because of its unique combination, many people from different parts of the world have grown to love it. Hence, this day is dedicated to remembering the creation of the amazing ice cream soda.
Whether you choose to create your own with a dollop of your favorite ice cream in your favorite carbonated drink or pop into a traditional ice cream bar, once you taste the famous ice cream soda you are sure to fall head over heels and just want more. One of the most popular choices when it comes to ice cream sodas is Coco-Cola and Vanilla ice cream, something about just works and tantalizes the taste buds.
The roots of National Ice Cream Soda Day can be traced right back to when the famous ice cream soda was discovered by a soda seller. They were created by the legendary Robert Green in 1874 during Philadelphia’s sesquicentennial jamboree. Sources state that the ingenious Mr. Green mixed vanilla ice cream in with the soda he was selling, after unfortunately being devoid of ice. Little did he know, but he created a special kind of drink that was to become ultimately and extremely popular in all parts of the world.
During this time, historians say that he was extremely proud of his invention and initiative. His customers were happy about his unintentional creation, which leads us to the here and now. We can certainly thank him for using his initiative to create the ice cream soda that we have come to love so much. It has been said that Mr. Green claims he generated the idea before the initiation of the event.
Even if Mr. Green meant it or not, it was a brilliant idea to keep the sodas cold. Some of the best creations come from on the spot creativity and what a great one this was! Even if it was as simple as the thinking ice cream is cold, ice cubes are cold, let’s try it! Understandably, his epiphany was an instantaneous hit and spread like proverbial wildfire.
Green was basking in his achievement for the remainder of existence and humorously (some would say egotistically!) had “Originator of the Ice Cream Soda” written on his gravestone. And who can blame him! This is definitely something that you’d want to be remembered for.
How Has It Changed?
Nowadays, there is a range of variations on the originally invented ice cream soda, even encompassing root beer floats, Boston coolers, and purple cows. To adequately make National Ice Cream Soda Day an event: grab some soda, a couple of scoops of ice cream and a straw. Finally, sit in the sunshine and enjoy your creation whilst thinking of how Mr. Green’s epiphany became an instant sensation!
Why Should You Be Celebrating National Ice Cream Soda Day?
There are numerous reasons why you should celebrate ice cream soda day. One of the best being that an ice cream soda is an ultimately refreshing treat that can fill you with delight and refreshment. This day gives you the chance to not only enjoy the historic drink but it also allows you to join in the celebrations to thank the creator properly for giving us this wonderful creation. It’s certainly a day for recognizing what creation and initiative can achieve.
And, How Can You Do It?
There are many ways you can join in and enjoy ice cream soda day. Whether it’s your favorite ice cream shop, sitting in your back yard with the family, in a restaurant or joining all the other ice cream soda fans on this wonderful day you’re sure to have fun, find new and exciting flavors and fall in love with a traditional and historical drink that is a favorite to many around the world. Some of the great ways you can join in with the celebrations include:
Getting creative and making your own with your favorite ice cream flavors and favorite drinks. Why not see who can come up with the nicest, most delicious, craziest ideas in your family? You could even turn it into a little competition, the winner claiming the best ice cream soda day prize. You could even go all the way and add whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate sauce, and a cherry on top.
There are many ice cream soda recipes you could try. How about, A Boozy Biscoff Beer Float with that delicious coffee butter-flavored ice cream and an ice-cold beer? gingerbread Ice Cream Float, who said gingerbread was just for Christmas? Rum and Coke Float, you’re sure to wish that your favorite pub served this version of the ice cream soda once you try it.
The Guinness Float, perfect for the dark beer lovers, this float is made up simply of a bottle of Guinness, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate syrup. Or The Strawberry Ice Cream Soda, perfect for the strawberry shake lovers out there, this fizzy version has all the creamy goodness with the sweet strawberry flavor that you crave.
Taking a trip out and about in search of ice cream soda, come on you’re bound to find it everywhere on this day! In fact, almost in a restaurant or beverage shop should be able to create one for you with ease. You will most likely spot ice cream sodas all throughout your day, you won’t be able to resist the temptation and be spoilt for choice.
It’s certainly high in demand and a popular choice on ice cream soda day. If ice cream soda day wasn’t the perfect excuse to take the family out to enjoy a refreshing, bubbly, fun, and creative drink in the sun then what is? You could even make it a yearly occasion and see how many different flavors you can try across the years.
Celebrate on social media is another great idea, whether you take a picture of you and your friends enjoying your ice cream soda in the sun, share the wonderful creation you and the family have come up with or join in with the other ice cream soda fans, social media is a great way for you to participate in the wonderful day.

[ read part one w/ price here ! ]
reader who would rather skydive without a parachute than have their self sufficiency questioned vs cod men [ 2 / ? ]
könig assumed that when you invited him to bake with you, it was going to be a cute little activity for the two of you to do. a simple afternoon in your kitchen, making some baked goods to enjoy later.
he could not be more fucking wrong. you bake up a storm, leaving trails of flour, baking soda, sugar and whatever other substances you've used in your wake. you also seem to be eyeballing every single measurement. it's chaos. he's never seen a more disorganized process of making red velvet cupcakes.
the worst part is, könig can't seem to understand why he's even there.
"hey can you pass me th— nevermind, i got it." you say, standing on the tips of your toes to reach a bag of chocolate chips which was just a little too high. he's just a whole 6'10 ft of useless, standing in your kitchen, and getting in the way.
so instead of waiting for instructions, he choses to make himself helpful by attempting to clean as you bake. it works smoothly for the most part. he wipes up any milk you've spilt on the counter, places a batter covered spoon in the sink to be washed later (not before taking a little taste of course... and mess be damned, you're good at baking even if the sample he got was raw), and moves the bowls you don't quite need yet out of the way.
everything is going fine. you're talking to him like this is the most calming activity on earth and he's replying with little hums of acknowledgement and nods as he swiftly tries to get a little more batter from the whisk you've just stopped using.
"hey— no. you're gonna get sick. there's raw egg in there." you chide, just as he's about to sneak a lick. he wonders how you even noticed, considering you seem to be using 110% of your concentration on filling up the cupcake liners with just enough batter for each cupcake to be roughly the same size, which happens to be the only semblance of consistency you've had this entire baking session.
"i'm not going to die because of a little batter." he counters, amused by your concern. he can't help but chuckle.
you snort, rolling your eyes. "famous last words of an impatient man."
eventually, your baking frenzy subsides. the red velvet cupcakes are cooled after being pulled fresh out of the oven, you've made an insanely good homemade cream cheese icing to go on top (which you begrudgingly allow him one taste of. one.), and it's time to decorate. you've piped on most of the icing already, but the unsatisfied stare you give your baked goods allows him to piece together it isn't over yet.
"i think these need sprinkles." you murmur after a moment. your eyes glance around and eventually land on possibly the highest shelf in the kitchen. where the sprinkles just so happen to be. he tries to supress laughter when he sees the disbelief on your face. "motherfu—"
"i will get it." könig interrupts, stepping towards the shelf. you step in front of him, blocking him from getting there, hauling a chair with you.
"nope. won't need to. 'm innovative." he watches you set up the chair and get ready to climb up— only to gently grab your forearm and tug you back.
"famous last words of a stupid person." he scoffs, echoing your words from earlier.
you shoot him an exasperated look as you wriggle out of his grasp.
"c'mon, i do this like, what— all the time? hasn't killed me yet." you say, pointing at the shelf. "it's not that high. i'll just climb up to reach it."
"or you could swallow your pride and allow me to get it."
"and what fun would that be?"
he sighs at your response, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he mutters something to himself. probably in german. not like you could hear. you were too busy staring up at the shelf and getting the chair set up.
on one hand, könig wants to help to prevent you from potentially falling and eating shit, but on the other, he knows you well enough to understand there's no stopping you. so instead, he settles for a compromise.
könig moves the chair out of the way.
"i said, i'm getting it by myself. i kinda need the chair for that." you huff, glancing back at him, only to watch as he lowers himself, arms wrapping around your legs. "hey wh—"
before you can process, you're hoisted up into the air with a startling ease.
"alright," he isn't even trying to hide his smirk as he lifts you up, high enough to reach the shelf, "you can get it."

Very random the Outsiders headcanons
warnings: mentions of really bad food combination, throwing up, insects, scratching & picking at skin, loud chewing, fears, please lmk if I forgot something!!
all created w/ @luvmarsbars & @stqrluvr !
˗ˏˋ ★ ´ˎ˗
To begin with we have food headcanons:
They all have a certain tastes in pizza!!
Johnny really likes olives on his pizza, like he just loves it.
Darry is a chicken bacon ranch pizza guy. it's his favorite pizza.
Dally really likes supreme pizzas but he can't stand pineapple on pizza. other than that he doesn't care.
Two bit LOVES pineapple on pizza, it's one of his favorites. (he argues w/ dally about it constantly). Him and Steve have no pickiness when it comes to pizza or food in general .
Ponyboy on the other hand is a VERY picky eater (me too man me too).
like he can't stand spicy foods, won't touch olives within an inch of his his life, has to have the edges of his sandwhiches cut off, won't eat pizza crust unless it's stuffed crust, hates cooked vegetables, the list goes on.
Ponyboy loves breadsticks!! it's one of the few foods he genuinely really loves. Same with pickles.
Steve is 100% the kid who you could pay to eat the gross food combinations that people came up with during lunch. yk, like the beans in milk? he would eat that. no hesitation.
Sodapop doesn't like soda because of the carbonation. (again that's me too I don't like drinking soda bc the fizz hurts my mouth).
Darry and Two bit are both lactose intolerant, Darry's just isn't as bad as Two's. Two bit does NOT care though because he loves eating lactose.
Also he loves BBQ sauce, Soda likes ketchup, and Pony loves ranch. like he LOVES it. he was the kid to eat it straight up.
Dallas hates sour foods, he can not stand pickles. He also hates fish, like he doesn't like sea food at all.
Dally also doesn't like mint, his favorite type of gum is watermelon.
He also is the type of person to chew with his mouth open. Like he didn't even realize he was doing it at first until people pointed it out. Then he did it to annoy them, especially Pony.
Ponyboy will get irritated and tell him to chew with his mouth shut and Dally would move his head so he was chewing directly into Pony's ear.
Johnny has random food cravings. like peanut butter on pickles, mustard on ice cream, etc. Pony has to hold back the urge to throw up.
Steve put sugar on his popcorn. he was also the type of person to have popcorn with his ice cream and m&ms and torn up pieces of candy bars & chocolate syrup, and probably maple syrup. he would throw any kind of sweet know to man into a bowl of ice cream and eat it.
Two bit really likes seafood. like he loves fish sticks.
Johnny was allergic to eggs and peaches as a kid. He isn't as much now, but he can't eat peaches anyway because he doesn't like the way they taste.
Headcanons w/ them and certain animals (dogs, cats, insects, etc.):
Darry loves dogs. He loves them and he really doesn't like cats because he thinks they're more of a hassle to take care of. Ponyboy loves cats and would rather have one than a dog. Sodapop loves both.
I saw someone else say Dally is scared of dogs and I just couldn't agree more. He really doesn't like them, and he isn't much of a cat person. He loves snakes though, like if he had the chance to have a pet snake he would 100% have one.
Ponyboy is terrified of any/all insects & bugs, including butterfly. He's allergic to bees as well.
He screams bloody murder if he sees a spider in the house and he HAS to be in a different room if there is one.
Johnny on the other hand isn't scared of them at all. He was the kid who would cry if someone squished a spider, so whenever Ponyboy is freaking out over one he will either a.) calmly pick it up and move it out of the house. or b.) be trying to capture it and tell ponyboy that it keeps moving so its hard to catch.
Then Darry would come in with a cup and paper and call them sissies.
Dally tormented Pony because of his fear of bugs. He would actually chase Pony around with a bug for his own enjoyment.
Miscellany headcanons:
Dallas finds horror movies hilarious. Like he isn't scared of them one bit and is completely unbothered. Johnny and Pony will be clinging to eachother during one and Dally is all like, "Cmon man, it's not even that scary!"
Johnny is afraid of thunderstorms and the dark. Like genuinely he is actually so scared of them.
Both Dally and Johnny bounce their legs when they're sitting, especially if they're nervous about something.
Ponyboy picks at the skin around his nails and Johnny scratches his hands a lot when he's nervous, neither of them really realize they're doing it.
Pony can't stand sherpa. like if the last remaining blanket was sherpa, he would rather sleep without a blanket.
Pony isn't the biggest fan of heights or rollercoasters and Soda doesn't like carnival rides that spin because they make him nauseous.
Dallas would rather die than use sunscreen, he absolutely hates it. Ponyboy loves sunscreen.
Two bit burns really easily. like he'll be outside for 30 minutes and he's already getting sunburnt.
Johnny doesn't go anywhere without his Jean jacket, it's his comfort item.
Steve was the kid to chew on his hoodie strings and his pencils. He couldn't have a wooden pencil without it having so many bite marks in it.
Darry cracks like every single one of his bones and it is so LOUD. He'll twist so he can stretch his back and it'll sound like if firecrackers and rice crispies had a baby.

Made chocolate chip cookies from my sourdough discard, since I had a lot. They are soft and fluffy, with a little bit of tang, I am enjoying them immensely.
Recipe under the cut!
14 tablespoons unsalted butter, slightly softened
100g granulated sugar
125g brown sugar
1 large egg
250g sourdough starter, unfed
1 1/4 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4-1/2 teaspoon almond extract
260-300g all-purpose flour
7g salt
1 teaspoon baking soda (add a little for more floof)
1-2 cups large chocolate chips (to taste)
In a large bowl, combine the softened butter, sugars, and salt.
Add the egg to the mixture, stir until mixed.
Stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
Stir in the sourdough starter and baking soda.
Stir in 260g the flour until just mixed. It will seem a little goopy.
Mix in the chocolate chips. If it's still Very goopy, add a more flour, but bear in mind it will firm up in the fridge.
Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes (can go overnight if needed!)
Preheat the oven to 350°F while cookies are in the fridge.
I use a standard ice cream scoop to grab fairly large portions of dough and roll into ball. Can lightly flour your hands in order to make a smoother ball. Set on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Recipe should make 16-24 cookies; if you have more than 24, your cookies are too small and idk what will happen. If you have less than 16, your cookies are too big, which isn't a problem necessarily, but you'll need a longer cook time probably. You can test if they're done by sticking a chopstick in the middle to see if it comes out clean.
Bake 20-25 minutes, depends on your oven/location I guess. Mine takes 23 minutes for most variations
Let them cool on the baking sheet for at least a few minutes after taking them out of the oven. They will get a little bit of a crisp on their crust if you do, and it's REALLY delicious. After 5-10 you can put them on a cooling rack if you want. 100% suggest eating one while it's still warm (not burning but warm).
Cookies are best eaten on the first day. Dough can be frozen or fridged if you want to just bake a few at a time. Thaw dough overnight before baking if you freeze it.

ROUND 3: Sam and Max VS Team Musical Number
Tumblr media
About Sam and Max: A duo of Freelance Police comprised of the relatively calm 6-foot tall dog Sam and the violent rabbity-thing Max. Most of the time, Sam has to hold Max back from "unnecessary violence", even though both of them will still use it most of the time, this dynamic can also switch when some one calls Sam fat or McGruff, which almost ended him shooting his past self once, and when Max's brains where stolen he went rampage of interrogations and turned into a noir version of himself. They both tried to open an obviously evil treasure chest right after Sam explained how it would probably release horrors upon the world, they tested what was and was not censored/bleeped-out, they have also broken hell and can breath in space. Sam ate so many fudge ice cream bars that he became immune to chocolate, and Max promised to take Sam down with him when he dies.
About Oli: An isekaied bard, the first player on Empires SMP, and the sole survivor of Afterlife SMP, having found himself in Empires SMP after trying to find his version of Sausage and instead finding Pearl, he quickly noped out due to the large amount of both Pearl's and Sausage's heads and him wanting to be alive. During his first day/episode on Empires, he named his new home the Olipoligo, built a "mega base", named his wolf after Sausage, found and raided an ancient city, outran the Warden, speedran killing the Ender Dragon, kicked the server's first mystery, stole Gem's horn, got deemed a bard, and got arrested by Fwip. He has also; gathered a bunch of Ender Men via Ender Rail (In Afterlife), fell into dept with Fwip and the Goblin Empire, tried to return to Afterlife which failed, organized the Rift Festival, and accidentally hatched the Ender Dragon Egg.
About Doofensmirtz: An "evil" scientist with ambitions to take over the Tri-State Area. He has a giant building/house/lab with "Doofensmirtz Evil Incorporated", which is also sang every time it's first seen per episode. Everything he creates ends in -inator, with their purpose ranging from the previously mentioned taking over the Tri-State Area or at least minorly inconveniencing it, to getting petty revenge on someone, to some kind of weird revenge related to his awful childhood. He named an evil organization L.O.V.E.M.U.F.F.I.N., which is technically an acronym the full name isn't much better as it stands for "League Of Villainous Evildoers Maniacally United For Frightening Investments in Naughtiness". After he retired from evil he temporarily joined O.W.C.A partially thanks to him being legally an ocelot, and made an time machine shaped like a taco stand with no option for day; as it was replaced with a cup holder, and diverged a major world-saving plan to get his favorite orange soda.

What are your oc's go-to orders when they go out together 👀👀
Ooh great question!
Honestly depends on where they go to eat but their go to places are the local pizza place or the Indian restaurant.
Lucy is a bit of a picky eater so she goes with what the most 'basic' options are, so here they would be a good old margherita pizza with garlic bread on the side, and chicken tikka masala with plain naan and onion bhaji respectively. And she would only order a lemony drink, like a lemonade or nimbu paani. She has not changed these orders in 10 years and she will never change them ever, they're perfect meals. Do not try to make her eat something new.
Adam eats anything that's got like a salty sweet thing or spicy sweet thing going on, so for pizza's he'd probably get a meaty spicy pizza and then ask them to add capers and golden raisins on top + he'd get a tiramisu dessert, and his Indian food order would be lamb kofta curry at the highest spice level with garlic paratha and then a giant glass of sweet lassi.
Harsha is like a big sweet tooth that his friends kind of hate, he orders a big dessert portion and then orders a savoury main. like he'll order 2 chocolate lava cakes first and then order a plate of lasagna. He eats the lava cake first and then eats cold lasagna, we hate him for it. and at the Indian restaurant he'd order chapati with mango shrikhand, and then get 2 sides of prawn fry and chicken 65.
Naz is vegetarian by choice cause the smell of meat makes him feel rather ill, but he'll order anything that's really eggy or dairy  cause he loves eggs and milk. at the Italian place he'd get a florentine pizza and ask for an extra egg, and then order a vanilla panna cotta. At the Indian place he'd get egg biryani with mint cucumber raita, and then wash it down with a mango lassi extra thick.
Shaz is down to eat anything tbf as long as it's halal, so most of the time she just orders the dishes of the day and then a random side and a drink. she's not really into sweet stuff. Her go to sides at the italian place are the dough balls with marinara sauce and garlic butter though, and she gets an orange soda. at the indian place she orders gobi manchuri and rose milk with less sugar.
Daniel is vegan and also born in hyderabad, moved to england when he was 9 cause his dad got transferred by his IT company. He loves to eat food that's in pockets or something and is very carby. His italian order is usually a vegan mushroom aubergine tomato calzone, dough balls with marinara sauce, and a limeade to wash it all down. His indian order is usually palak paneer with aloo paratha, and a dabeli as a side, with nimbu pani. if he's feeling fancy he'll get a dessert but that depends on his mood.
Abigail is the one with the most unpredictable tastes because she isn't picky and wants to try something new every time, she doesn't really have any preference lol but she doesn't like eating the same thing in a row. So she just randomly orders dishes, but the one thing she does have a preference for is the dessert, she hates chocolate things so she usually orders a vanilla cheesecake at the Italian place, or a gulab jamun with ice cream at the Indian place. She's really hard to order for lmao.

Update regarding my recovery
Hey y'all
Just a brief update since after I got my wisdom teeth removed. It's been going well than I expected, and not even in pain or being nauseous (until this morning), which is a good thing, along with trying to take my meds. I was expecting to be groggy during the days, but in awe, I wasn't, which was a good thing!
So I have been doing well, the surgery went well, the IV anesthesia sedation isn't so bad (I must've been in dreamland lol), in pain the first day that I cried that I couldn't eat when I'm numb and taking my medications, until yesterday and today whenever the pain isn't there and was doing fine, and worrying about dry sockets. Then I was taking a rest, napping, sleeping, entertaining myself from boredom, watching TV, playing video games, drawing on my iPad, not much appetite, but had oatmeal, yogurt, pudding, mashed potatoes, eggs, ice cream, etc., and so it goes. And I was feeling pretty nauseous after the medications on an empty stomach to the point where I had to eat something and quench my thirst to keep me from throwing up. And been in bed 24/7 lol, and my face had been swollen until it's going down a little ^^;
It might even take 2 weeks to fully recover and 8 weeks to get back to eating pizza and all that. I was wondering if I could go back to eating normal after those days or a week. And also wondering to go back to coffees and sodas after 2 weeks or so, that part I don't know. Unless if it's fine or not, milk is my new coffee xD (it's a stupid joke lol).
Looks like I'll be out of school until Thursday by what my dentist says. So hopefully I'll go back by then. Hopefully I can continue working on my artworks (traditionally), working on my computer (haven't for days since surgery) and plan on my upcoming FFVII fanfic ^^
Hope y'all are well and thanks for the best support ❤️ I'll get back to displaying by Friday ^^

thoughts on mint chocolate chip?
Girl sit down I got a LOT of thoughts on this one
Ok first of all: Good mint choco chip fucking RULES. But unfortunately BAD mint choco chip is kinda the worst. I think more then a lot of other flavors mint chip gets a bad rap because of this. Also I should make it 100% clear when I say mint I mean spearmint/the green one - 'peppermint mocha' is a Starbucks ploy to sell more coffee to white girls, it's gross and we all know it.
Aside from making sure it's the right kind of mint, you HAVE to make sure there is a good choco/mint ratio. Now personally I go with 2 parts choco to 1 part mint. Mint can be WILDLY overbearing but it really just needs to complement the choco. If the ice cream is entirely green with only one or 2 specs of chips then it damn well better be the best pure mint flavor in the world cause that sure as hell isn't mint CHOCO. Also get the fuck outta here with your white mint choco ice cream Breyers you look ridicules.
Personally the gold standard for me when it comes to mint choco is Andes Candies - anytime someone tells me they don't like mint choco I ask if they've tried Andes. And on that note - since I am in my Twilight Years (late 30) and I cried like a bitch at that article about people having 'their' recipes printed on their gravestones, I have decided to share my cookie recipe that is so good my college friends refereed to them as 'crackies'. Thank god this was before Breaking Bad aired otherwise they would probably be Methies instead or some stupid nonsense like that. ANYWAY, MY BELOVED RECIPE
Crackie Dough
1 cup butter flavored Crisco (shut up)
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 brown sugar (arguments have been made over light or dark but I say it depends on the ships you are using)
2 eggs
2 tsp Mexican Vanilla
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 and 1/4 cup flour
Preheat over to 350, creme the butter and sugar together til it's like wet sand, then add eggs and mix til smooth. Toss in the vanilla, baking soda and salt, then start slowly adding the flour. At this point it is time to add chips and extracts. Now my general rule of thumb here is about 2 cups of chips and about a tablespoon of extract. You can get kinda crazy with this step but here are my family's favs:
2 cups butterscotch chips and 1 TBS rum extract
2 cups dark choco chips and 1 TBS orange extract
2 cups dark choco chips and 2 TBS espresso extract
2 cups blueberries and 1 tsp lavender extract (not beginner friendly let me warn you about that one right now, this takes some tweaking cause they berries are FUCKING WET and lavender is super strong)
I'm currently working out the kinks to a peanut butter choco cookie because I HATE using the Reese chips. I'm thinking of maybe adding peanut flour and then choco chips - I'll get back to you on this one)
AND FINALLY THE STAR OF THE SHOW, MY GO-TO, MY OLD RELIABLE -
Tumblr media
I tell you right now you toss a bag of this into that dough and people will be beating down your door to get to them. I've had issues getting these in the past, so sometimes I will just dice up the candies themselves if I can find it or I use dark choco chips and add creme de menthe to the dough.
Also while I got you on the line mint choco Italian creme sodas are really super fucking good too. Anyone who says mint choco sucks is a Hater

@thouliest of course!
muffins:
approx 2 cups of chopped apples. I used honeycrisp but that part isn't important, do whatever apples work for you as long as it's not that mealy bitch red delicious.
1 and 3/4 cups flour. for this recipe I used king arthur gluten free 1:1 flour substitute, but if you want to use a gluten full variety that's fine.
1tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 salt (kosher is best but you do you babey)
1/2 cup unsalted butter (soften it to room temperature or if you're a silly bitch like me, just microwave it for about 1 minute first)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
2 tsp maple syrup
1/4 cup milk
crumble top:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2/3 cup flour (obviously I also used gluten free, but you do you)
icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
6 tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp maple syrup
this will make so much more icing than you actually need and I'm sorry for that
what u do with that shit:
start by dicing up those apples into pieces as itty bitty as you want. get crazy get stupid with it. if they're wet like my honeycrisps were I STRONGLY recommend putting them in a colander or strainer while you do everything else to let them drain. either put that in the sink or on top of some paper towels.
now make the crumble! mix all the dry ingredients together and then add the melted butter. mix with a fork until it starts to form clumps and set aside.
for the muffins: beat the softened butter and sugars with a mixer (or with your arm if you're jacked as hell, I don't know your deal) until it gets creamy.
beat in eggs, yogurt, and syrup.
beat in dry ingredients and milk.
dump! them! apples! in!
listen: this batter is going to be thick as shit and you might worry that something isn't right. that's the devil talking. it's fine and you don't need to add any more liquids.
preheat oven to 425 degrees F (218 C)
fill up your muffin tin(s) and get that shit in there
this is crucial: temperature is funky with this recipe
bake @ 425 degrees for five minutes and then reduce heat to 350 degrees F (177 C). bake for another 13-15ish minutes. I'm gonna be so real I did NOT remember to set a timer for this part so it was sort of vibes based. don't take them out until you can pop a toothpick in the centers and have them come out clean.
for the icing just whisk that shit together with a fork.
enjoy mwah
my apple my muffins turned out so beautiful god bless 💖 🍎

What do the Akudama Drive gang order at McDonald's? I know Hoodlum would jokingly ask if the ice cream machine is broken only to get told that someone took the machine and later finds out Brawler took it lmao
Note: STOP IM SCRAMBLING, and Hoodlum at some point being like damn, I wish I had some ice cream right now....only for Brawler to walk in with the machine like, "bro, look what I just found. Can you believe they had this thing just sitting around-?"
In terms of what they'd order ....hmm, I'm not well versed in McDonald's menu items, nor do I know anything about McDonald's in Japan. This might just be me making fun little guesses, although isn't that what most of this account is-?
Tumblr media
Swindler probably gets a small or medium fry with a chicken sandwich of some sort and I'd imagine she might like an apple pie too..? I'm looking at the American menu online, as anyone should spend their Saturday night....and for some reason I feel like she'd enjoy the fruit and yogurt parfait off the breakfast menu, despite it being discontinued. Iced tea too....?
Brawler, oh dear I'm so bad with hamburgers and cheeseburgers, but he definitely goes for every burger/cheeseburger on the menu, or least 5 of the biggest one with every extra thing on it that you could possibly imagine. A large fry with a large coke? Or maybe two large cokes....he asks for extra salt packets...
Hacker is a Dr. Pepper drinker, prove me otherwise. No, I'm just kidding — genuinely thinking about it, he's difficult and I feel as though I should expect the unexpected from someone like Hacker. He seems like he eats snacks, rather than whole meals .....and I'm just eyeing the oatmeal raisin cookie right now thinking he might actually enjoy one. Maybe he'll go for something like fries on more rare occasions...?
Doctor has expensive taste, so I feel like she'd enjoy a little less than a few items off the menu unless she was in a very specific mood for something. If I had to guess, she might drink a coffee from McDonald's, or settle on a hashbrown. Maybe one of the more healthier options they may offer too? Which, might not be many-
Hoodlum orders the filet-o-fish and no, I am absolutely not kidding. Okay, maybe a little. He probably orders a cheeseburger or chicken sandwich....only for them to get the order wrong and him to be stuck with a fish sandwich. He too screams iced tea to me more than a soda, but sprite is something I'd consider him ordering. Caramel sundaes and apple pies?
I also feel like Hoodlum probably prefers the McDonald's breakfast menu over anything. I could see him enjoying an Egg McMuffin or Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Mcgriddle......with a hashbrown. He pulls up to McDonald's right as they're taking the breakfast menu down everytime though.
Courier also gives me McDonald's breakfast vibes....a hashbrown maybe? You know what, he probably doesn't sit in the line at McDonald's often, but when he does, it's for a hashbrown and coffee, or possibly fries. This requires him to wake up early or work into early mornings though.
Cutthroat orders the happy meal with specifically a 4 piece nugget and then whines when they don't put exactly the toy he wants in the box. At least the box is red though, that should keep him busy- Oh, and he might like M&M Mcflurries too...

Crispy Belgian Waffles
Tumblr media
Welcome back to my kitchen Foodies!!!
Today, I come bearing the gift of a light and crispy waffle recipe! These waffles have the most delicate, crunchy exterior while being soft and fluffy on the inside.
Making waffles from scratch is so much better than the store-bought toaster waffles! Often, when you make homemade waffles, they turn out dense and spongy. But these bad boys are crunchy and fluffy! I’d even say that they’re the best Belgian waffles I’ve ever made.
My family have a tradition of dessert get-togethers. No sweet tradition is complete without a favourite waffle party. We don't discriminate. This is not a recipe reserved for Sunday morning brunches(even though it works just fine for brunch). This recipe can be whipped up as a midnight snack and (don't tell mum) a meal replacement!!
This recipe yields about 5 square waffles in my waffle iron. The recipe is easily doubled, so if you need to serve more people, it can be done in one go.
Tumblr media
Let me show you step by step how I put these babies together. Come bake with me!
(Take a sneak peak at the recipe at the bottom of the page)
Heat oven to 90 Degrees Celsius
Measure flour, corn flour, baking powder and baking soda into a bowl and set aside. You don't have to sift these, however, it is recommended to prevent a lumpy texture.
Tumblr media
3. Measure buttermilk, milk and vegetable oil into another bowl. I used a measuring jug for easy pouring. 4. Mix the egg yolk into the buttermilk mixture and set aside
Tumblr media
6. Add sugar and vanilla essence to egg whites and beat until peaks are firm and glossy. Set this aside.
Tumblr media
7. Grab your buttermilk mixture, and bowl of dry ingredients. Add the buttermilk mixture to the dry ingredients and whisk until just mixed. 8. Drop whipped egg whites to the batter in dollops, and fold in with a spatula until just incorporated. The batter is not going to be smooth or silky. You might see lots of bumps, but don't be tempted to smooth them out or mix any longer.
Tumblr media
9. Leave the batter to rest for a few minutes, while your waffle iron heats up. Drop batter onto hot waffle iron and cook until waffle is crisp and golden brown. You might want to consider flipping your waffle over if the bottom is already golden, and the top isn't. 10. Place waffles on a rack and pop into the oven to keep warm and crisp. 11. Decorate and serve when all waffles are done! Ice-cream is my go-to topping, even in winter. The creamy smooth texture, melting against the crispy warm waffles....Mmmm.
I'm also going to suggest a good quality homemade chocolate sauce, crushed chocolate, roasted nuts, fresh fruit and the all-important WHIPPED cream! Light and fluffy...rich and dreamy... creamy and crispy.
Get creative!!! The options are limitless!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These waffles can be made at the spur of the moment, and its a bonus that these are staple ingredients in almost every kitchen.

You can depend on me for great food and great vibes. I’m always serious about food. Lets Eat, Drink and Love.

Easy Recipe for The Best Italian Ricotta Lemon Bundt Cake
Lemon cakes are one of my all-time favorite desserts, such as orange ricotta bundt cake, chocolate ricotta bundt cake, and almond ricotta bundt cake. This Ricotta Lemon Bundt Cake with Zucchini is the most recent addition to my lemon cake recipe arsenal. You might be thinking, "Zucchini?" What exactly is it? Yes! While zucchini and chocolate have almost become standard. It thickens and moistens the cake, enhancing the lemon flavor.
The icing on this lemon ricotta cake adds a hint of blackberries to the cake's strong lemon flavor. This simple cake recipe tastes and looks delicious, especially when baked in a bundt pan.
Tumblr media
Drizzling a glaze over your lemon cake adds an interesting flavor and a lovely crimson hue.
MY STORY WIHT LEMON RICOTTA BUNDT CAKE
Ciambellone is a simple Italian-style Bundt cake baked in a circular, ring-shaped (Bundt) pan, as the name suggests. ("Ciambellone" translates as "large ring" or "giant doughnut.") In Italy, ciambellone/ciambellotto/ciambella cakes are almost as numerous as Bundt cakes. My version evolved over the years from my Aunt Dina's lemon-and-anise-scented ciambellotto to this version, with olive oil, ricotta, and extra lemon. The combination of olive oil and ricotta results in a delicate, moist cake with a soft, slightly gritty crumb that keeps for several days. It's the kind of plain cake that Italian aunts and grandparents keep on hand for (un)expected visitors.
This lemon and ricotta Bundt cake are like sunshine on a plate, and it's a quick and simple way to commemorate a special occasion. (In fact, I've made this cake for Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, baby and wedding showers, and holiday brunches over the years, and it's always a hit, disappearing quickly.) Although citrus fruits are in season during the winter and provide welcome relief from gloomy days, I find myself craving light and colorful lemon sweets like this one more frequently in the spring. This lemon cake feels right at home, brightening up a cold winter afternoon with a mug of hot tea as it echoes the brightness of a beautiful spring day, which is enhanced when served with in-season berries.
This not-too-sweet cake can be served as an afternoon snack or even for breakfast, as the Italians do (with an espresso or cappuccino, of course). Garnish with confectioners' sugar or dollops of homemade whipped cream, fresh fruit, or berry compote. You can gild the lily and elevate the cake to the level of special-occasion dessert by making a simple lemon glaze with confectioners' sugar and lemon juice to spread on top of the cake, but it isn't necessary. (And, while my Aunt Dina would have frowned on this extra step, I doubt she would have refused a glazed piece if she had a sweet tooth.)
WHERE CAN I FIND LEMON RICOTTA BUNDT CAKE INSTRUCTIONS?
This is also one of the simplest cakes to make. No additional layers, icing, or decorating will be used.
THE BEST RECIPE FOR LEMON RICOTTA BUNDT CAKE
Tumblr media
The recipe calls for standard cake ingredients such as butter, eggs, sugar, flour, baking soda, and baking powder to achieve a light texture. But there's one more ingredient that makes all the difference.
INGREDIENTS
• Nonstick frying spray on a bundt pan
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 4 tablespoons baking powder
• 1 tablespoon kosher salt
• 12 cups unrefined cane sugar
• 2 tbsp coarsely grated lemon zest (from about two large lemons)
• 1 cup moderately flavored extra-virgin olive oil
• 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
• 1 (16-ounce) container of whole-milk ricotta cheese (about 134 cups)
• four enormous room-temperature eggs
• Confectioners' sugar for final cake coating
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat the Bundt pan with cooking spray, making sure to get into all of the crevices.
Combine the flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and lemon zest until the sugar is moist and aromatic. Whisk in the ricotta and eggs until well-mixed.
Whisk the flour mixture into the wet ingredients with a rubber spatula until thoroughly combined. (I use a whisk here and there to help blend the flour into the thick batter; just don't overbeat the mixture, or you'll end up with a less-tender cake.)
Fill the prepared Bundt pan halfway with batter, smooth the top, and tap the pan lightly. Cook it for 40-50 minutes. To be safe, I usually start checking mine at the 30-minute mark.)
Before carefully transferring it to a rack, cool it for 15 minutes completely. The cake can be kept covered for 2 to 3 days. (I kept mine for a few days on a cake plate covered with a plastic cake dome.)
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT INGREDIENT IN MOIST CAKES?
Without a doubt, the secret to this show-stopper is ricotta. It makes richer and moisture to the cake quickly.
WHAT TASTE DOES LEMON RICOTTA CAKE HAVE?
The icing adds a hint of blackberries to the cake's strong lemon flavor.
Ricotta cheese is perfect for the dish. It has a beautiful buttery crumb, and the brilliant yellow flesh contrasts beautifully with the rich crimson blackberry glaze!
It's stunning, as are all ricotta desserts. When you serve it to your guests, you'll feel so happy and prosperous! You can also make Martha Stewart lemon ricotta bundt cakes. If you're on a diet, a lemon ricotta bundt cake without gluten would be preferable.
NOTES
* I use olive oil in a lot of my baked goods because I like the depth of flavor it adds; the Italian perfect lemon ricotta bundt cake is very healthy!

Pumpkin spice pretzel bites
Tumblr media
Ingredients
PRETZELS:
1 pkg yeast
1 c. warm water
2 T. brown sugar
2 T. sugar
1 T. melted butter
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour add more as needed, I ended up adding about one more cup
3 cups hot tap water
1/4 c. baking soda
1 egg white + 1 T water
1/4 C. butter melted
2 T. pumpkin pie spice
1/4 c. sugar
ICING:
4 oz. cream cheese softened
2 T. butter softned
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. powdered sugar
dash salt
evaporated milk as needed for desired consistency.
Instructions
To mixing bowl add 1 cup warm water. Sprinkle yeast and white sugar over water. Add 1 T melted butter. Let sit for about ten minutes until bubbly.
In a separate bowl add flour, brown sugar, salt, and flour. I started with 2 cups of flour.
(As the dough mixed I added more flour, by the Tablespoon, as needed to get a soft bread dough. Bread is a funny thing and you may have to add more or less. I use my dough hook to make my bread. Once the bread starts to peel away from the bowl it is getting close to the right consistency.) Stir the dry ingredients until they are mixed together. I add them to a sifter, which isn't necessary...just easier for me.
Add dry ingredients to yeast water. Using dough hood, or similar attachment, let dough need for about 5 minutes. Like I mentioned earlier, you will likely need to add more flour throughout this process to get the right consistency.
Cover dough with a towel and let sit in a warm place for an hour, or until dough has doubled in size.
Remove dough from bowl and place on floured surface. Divide dough into four pieces. Roll each piece into a long rope. Cut rope into about 2 inches in length.
Line a baking sheet with a silpat, or parchment paper. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Add 3 cups hottest tap water to a bowl. Stir in baking soda.
Working in small batches, add pretzel bites to soda water. You only need to let them sit in the water for a second. Remove the bites with a slotted spoon. Once they have drained for a second place them on lined baking sheet. Continue with remaining pretzel bites.
Mix egg white and 1 T. water. Brush on pretzel bites.
Bake 13-15 minutes, until golden brown.
While pretzels are baking melt 1/4 cup butter in a medium sized bowl. Mix pumpkin pie spice and sugar together (I put it in a sealable gallon bag).
When pretzel bites finish baking, working in small batches, set them in the melted butter. Stir bites around to coat. Put the bites in the bag with pumpkin spice sugar. Shake the bag until bites are covered with sugar. Remove from bag and set on paper towel lined plate. Continue until all bites are covered. If you give the bites a heavy coat of butter and sugar you may need more melted butter and pumpkin spice sugar. This amount worked just right for me.
ICING:
Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix until smooth. Add evaporated milk a little at a time, until you reach desired consistency. You want it to be a little thinner than frosting.
Serve pretzel bites right out of the oven with icing as a dipping sauce. You can microwave these later, but they aren't as good
