Post understanding Amity, Hunter has developed a new favorite form of personal terrorism: Amity’s gigantic crush on Luz. Amity knows he knows after he comes out of her mindscape and he DOES at least promise not to tell (because Luz has enough on her plate without having to spiral about Amity’s feelings), but he has made zero promises about not embarrassing the ever loving hell out of Amity.
Hunter’s on door guard duty that night? Wishes Luz good night and then before stepping outside he’ll put on his most self righteous little shit voice and say “You two kids play nice!” back over his shoulder.
Whenever Amity’s face goes tomato red because of Luz, Hunter will make sure to get in Amity’s line of sight before doing the most dramatic eye roll.
Amity walks in on Hunter taking care of Luz’s hair, he just stops and goes “oh good, Blight, take over for me, my hands starting to cramp :))))”
Frankly Amity wishes he’d go back to threatening to kill her
amity's hair-braiding skills coming in clutch!!
luz keeps being like "you don't have to listen to him, don't do anything you don't want to" and amity, who's still trying to show luz that she likes being around her without showing luz that she LIKES being around her, is like "i KNOW that. i don't mind, um, touching.... you.... i mean.... your hair.... i..." and then loses her ability to be coherent.
at one point when talking to hunter, amity is like "i know you're just making fun of me, but if i didn't know better, i'd say you're trying to set me up with your...."
hunter: [raised eyebrow] my What??
amity: ...what DO you call her??
hunter: luz, mostly.
amity: ....right.
hunter: empress, occasionally.
amity: wow. you are SO unhelpful.

✧ Pairing: Hunter x human!reader ✧
✧ Content/warnings: Soulmate AU, takes place during season 3, use of the word ‘damn’ once, the title is bland and I’m sorry, Hunter and the reader are both dorks, first post on here!! ✧
The “rules” for soulmates, as it were, were pretty straightforward. You see everything in the color of your soulmates eyes. Once you make eye contact with them you can see in full, proper colors. Seems simple enough, doesn’t it? Well, not for you, it wasn’t.
You, for the past sixteen or so years of your life, had been seeing nothing but red. Different shades, thank god, but red nonetheless. And to be frank, you were getting pretty damn fed up with it. The thing is that no one naturally has red eyes. And you would know; you’ve googled it maybe a thousand times already.
So you were fairly certain you didn’t have a soulmate, and this was all some cruel joke from the universe. But life marches on, so there’s no time to dwell on that, is there?
───── ───── ───── ─────
Another day at Gravesfield’s high school, bland as ever. At least until you caught a glance at your friend Luz. Rather, former friend. She’d been acting weird ever since she came back from that ‘reality check’ camp. And not standard Luz weird, no— she’d been avoiding you since then. Acting like she didn’t know you at all whenever you approached her, not to mention her sudden lack of interest in anything she used to like. The Good Witch Azura books, most notably.
So, needless to say, you were a bit surprised at her new look. Curly hair, a new scar over her eyebrow, and a general air of seasonal depression about her. Even though your recent interactions hadn’t gone so smoothly, you couldn’t help but ask. You were still allowed to care about her.
“Luz?” You called out from down the school hallway. She turned her head in your direction, and you could practically see the stars in her eyes when she saw you. She ran towards you, almost tackling you in a hug. Stumbling backwards, you hesitantly returned the gesture. “Good to see you too?” You awkwardly pat her back, unsure of what to do at the moment.
“Y/N, I am so glad to see you! Oh, you have no idea how much I’ve missed you.” She backed away and wiped a small tear from her eye.
“We saw each other yesterday, though?” You chuckled, still perplexed by this whole situation. “Seriously, what’s going on? You’re kinda acting like you just came back from war right now.” Her face fell slightly, but her smile quickly returned.
“Meet me at my house once school’s done, ok? I have… a lot to tell you.” You nodded, and watched her just walk away casually after that interaction.
“Cool. Good talk, I guess?”
───── ───── ───── ─────
“So, if I’m following,” You began, now in the Noceda family’s living room. “You didn’t go to summer camp, but instead spent several months in a fantasy world, and the Luz I’ve been interacting with is actually a shape-shifting basilisk.” You pointed to Vee, who nodded shyly. “And in this fantasy world you became a witch, made a bunch of new friends, and got a girlfriend.” You left out the details involving Belos and the Collector, deciding that you didn’t need to recap whatever nonsense was going on there.
“Yeah, actually. You’re handling this surprisingly well.” Luz noted.
“I think I’m still in shock, to be honest.” You laugh a bit in disbelief. You couldn’t begin to comprehend what she’d been through during those months, and you kind of didn’t want to. “So, more importantly, do I get to meet these new people?” You questioned, and her face brightened.
“Of course! They’re upstairs, so let me go get them and I’ll be right back.” You waited downstairs with Vee, exchanging basic small talk. She apologized for the whole ‘impersonating one of your few friends’ thing, which was nice of her. Eventually Luz came back, new friends and girlfriend following behind her.
“Alright! Everyone this is Y/N.” You gave a polite wave, quickly scanning over the group. “Y/N, this is Willow, Gus, Amity, and Hunter.” You got a proper look at all of them as she said their names, your eyes landing on the blond last. Wait a minute, blond?!
As it would turn out, when you made eye contact with Hunter you could suddenly see a lot more colors. He clearly noticed this as well, as a light blush was present on his cheeks and ears. You could feel some heat rise to your own face as well.
“Y/N, is everything okay?” Luz asked, noticing your stunned silence.
“I, uh…” you stumbled over your words like an idiot, still staring at him. Saving what little dignity you had left, your phone dinged from your pocket. Checking the notification, you gave an awkward smile and held it up to the group. “Oh! You know what, that’s my dad. He probably wants me home for dinner!” You put your phone back in your pocket, and began approaching the door. “I’ll see you guys later, okay, bye!”
You got the words out as quickly as you could, and bolted as soon as the door was open. You ran back to your house, face still flushed from embarrassment and being generally flustered, leaving a room full of witches (and one human) awfully confused.
“Hunter, what was that about?” Willow asked, as he still stared at the spot where you once were.
“Um- good question.”
───── ───── ───── ─────
Later that day, Hunter knocked on the door to Luz’s bedroom.
“Come in.” She said idly, distracted by whatever she had been playing on her Switch. He entered her room, hands anxiously fidgeting at his sides. There wasn’t a particularly easy way to say this, so he just bit the bullet.
“So, you know the whole thing with your soulmate, and how you’ll only see in their eye color until you make eye contact?”
“Yeah?” She encouraged, curiosity evident in her tone.
“Well, it’s possible that maybe, perhaps, Y/Nismysoulmate.”
“What?!” She immediately paused her game, and whipped around to face him. “Really?! Tell me everything!” She sat on the ground and patted the spot next to her, encouraging him to sit down. He did so, face red from having to explain the whole ordeal.
“There’s nothing to tell! I used to only see e/c, I looked at them, now I can see every color, and they— I always thought your hair was black, by the way— and they just ran away!” As Luz sat and processed this information, Hunter continued thinking out loud. “Did they not like me or something? Is it because I’m from the Boiling Isles?” He questioned, grabbing the pointed tips of his ears. Cutting his rambling short, Luz spoke up.
“No, I don’t think so. They were always interested in fantasy like I was. Maybe they were just a bit overwhelmed?” She suggested. He sighed.
“I guess that could have been it.” He said, though the anxiety was still clear on his face.
“Hey, how about I try to get them to come over this weekend? You guys can talk about it then.” He nodded, and watched her grab her phone to message you. Titan, he hoped she was right about this.
───── ───── ───── ─────
A few days had gone by since the whole incident with Hunter. You had been avoiding him since then, though you honestly weren’t sure why. If you had to, though, you’d say it was probably out of shock. I mean, you were convinced you didn’t have a soulmate for years. And now this incredibly good-looking boy comes in from another realm, and he’s supposedly perfect for you? It’s absurd!
Though it was also worry. How would a relationship between the two of you even work out? He’d have to go home eventually, and you probably couldn’t come with him. Maybe he wouldn’t even like you after the way you left the other day, and he’d reject you before you even had a chance. That’d put a quick and easy end to all this.
You’d been really sick of the color red these past couple days. You usually were, but now it was for an entirely different reason.
Though you couldn’t avoid your problems forever, despite your best efforts. Luz had invited you over for a board game night to celebrate the two of you reuniting. And, well… who were you to say no?
───── ───── ───── ─────
The day finally came, and it had been going relatively well so far. No one else seemed to know what had happened or why you left that first time you came over. Though you and Hunter had been carefully dancing around each other the whole time. It seemed neither of you were equipped to talk about your feelings at the moment. But were you really ever?
Eventually you saw him slip out the front door. With a sigh, you decided to finally face the problem. No use in stalling any more than you already have. After telling Luz that you were going outside for a moment, you stepped out and saw Hunter sitting on the steps leading to the front door. He turned around at the noise, and immediately turned back the other way when he saw it was you. Wordlessly, you sat down next to him. After a moment, he finally broke the silence.
“You look really nice.” You glanced at him, and saw the pink dusting his face. You smiled at the way his blush would spill out onto his ears.
“Thanks, but I’m not really wearing anything special.”
“I know,” He continued, finally meeting your eyes. “I just mean, like- you look nice. You’re really cute.”
“Oh.” You said, quite simply, now blushing a bit as well. You looked at the ground beneath you, pondering how exactly to go about this. “So, this whole ‘soulmate’ thing, huh?”
“Yeah.” Was all he managed. His hands toyed with his pants, still a bit nervous about this whole ordeal. Unable to find the words he wanted, Hunter just looked out at the surrounding neighborhood for a bit. Eventually, though, he said the one thing that was on his mind at the moment. “So… what do we do now?”
“Well, if I may suggest something scandalous?” His blush deepened at your words, but quickly faded as he watched you intertwine your hand with his own.
“Wow, and we’re not even married yet.” He joked. You put your free hand up defensively.
“I know, I know! What can I say, I like to live on the edge.” He laughed, and you silently basked in the sound. You set your eyes on the sky above you, a handful of stars already visible in the late evening’s light. Maybe red isn’t half bad after all.

Hi! l saw your comments in a post you were saying something like how Luz abandoned the others. l was wondering your thoughts on this and especially about the relationship between Lumity.
My thoughts are that Luz isn't the character that her stans want her to be. She's not a good person.
In Thanks to Them Luz was shown being prepared to abandon her Hexside friends as well as the entire Demon Realm to their fates at the hands of Belos and the Collector. She had made this decision without discussing it with any of them with the intention of not telling them until the last possible second when they couldn't do anything about it. The only thing that saved everybody was Camila's intervention.
This was an unconscionable act of cruelty on Luz' part and proves a hypothesis I had about Luz from her first appearance. Luz never took the Boiling Isles and the people who live there seriously. She treated the place like her own personal fantasyland and the people who lived there as NPCs in her self insert fan fic. We can see this in how Luz based all of her decisions there in reference to Azura. Her only interest in Amity was how she served as Hecate to her Azura and wanted to befriend her on that basis rather than learn anything about her as a person.
She interfered with Willow's life and violated her boundaries trying to fit Willow into her Azura fantasy model. In both Understanding Willow and Wing it Like Witches Willow asked Luz not to interfere with her decisions on how she handled her problems. In both cases Luz ignored Willow in favor of her Azura fantasy and Willow suffered as a result. After Luz did this a second time Willow walked away from the friendship. Luz had to work her butt off to earn back Willow's trust and friendship.
Luz was fine with playing in the Boiling Isles as long as it was fun and things were going her way. When Belos and the Collector showed up and things started getting serious and people started getting hurt Luz turned her back on the place and ran. She was prepared to abandon the entire enterprise because she never saw the Boiling Isles as a real place with real people and real problems.
Lumity isn't a relationship. It's a mutual crush between two fourteen year old children. They are not in love with each other because they are both too young and too emotionally damaged to even know what that means. Prior to Lumity neither Luz nor Amity has even had a successful friendship with anyone much less a full romantic commitment yet stans want to see Lumity as this perfect relationship that will last the two of them to the grave.
Luz is crushing on Amity and does not take her seriously. Luz is fine with the fun parts of crushing on Amity but when things get serious Luz is actively cruel to Amity. Luz lies to Amity repeatedly even though Amity knows Luz is lying to her and has asked her to stop. Luz didn't stop. Luz emotionally abandons Amity and seeks comfort in Hunter in whom she confides her secrets rather than Amity. In real life this behavior would be considered emotional abuse.
Amity has become codependent on Luz. Amity has given up every other aspect of her life to become Luz' awesome girlfriend. Amity no longer even challenges Luz the way she did in Lost in Language and Adventures in the Elements. When Eda did these things to Raine, Raine walked away from the relationship. Raine loved Eda but wouldn't tolerate Eda lying to them. Willow walked away from Luz when Luz violated her boundaries. Twice. Amity doesn't walk away from Luz despite being obviously hurt by Luz' lies. She is in a complete state of codependency on Luz. We've seen that other people don't tolerate this behavior from Luz. Amity does.
So these are my thoughts. If you have any questions or thoughts of your own to contribute, by all means feel free.

Amity Blight and Her Broken Strings
So, on Twitter, I saw someone say something about Amity and Hunter's relationship (obviously platonic. People who ship them romantically are gross.)
Naturally, I agree with this, as you've seen in my fics Kindness and Forgiveness as well as Road Trip. I feel like they share a best friend/basically sibling sentiment towards each other, and that Amity wouldn't bare ill will towards Hunter having been through the same things he has... HOWEVER, this also brought me to another thought, and it begs a question... Why was Amity, out of all of Hexsquad, able to move when she was turned into a puppet?
Simply really, she was already someone's puppet before and she broke free of their control...
Much like Hunter was because of Belos, Amity was being used, lied to, manipulated and controlled by Odalia. And think about how awful Odalia was to her. Forcing her to break her friendship with Willow, threatening to expel her friends from Hexside, coming between her and her girlfriend. Using her to test weapons and humiliating her publicly. And all so Odalia could have a 'perfect little girl' who was just like her. Amity never understood that things could be different, that she could choose her own destiny. In the care of her mother, she was little more than a puppet...
And of course, we know that Amity's friends helped her realize that. Especially one who kinda became a little more than a friend...
And of course, her understanding and realizing that her dream and goal being that she "wanted to choose her path herself" was what awakened Ghost and gave her a staff. Being able to control your own life, as a victim of child abuse, is so important, especially when you've gone through as much as Amity and especially Hunter. And that's why I think she was able to move on her own, because she is no one's puppet, not anymore. Amity Blight broke free of her chains and she is never, EVER, going to be shackled and puppeted again...

Lumity: wasted potential of the show
Lumity isn't as bad as Huntlow. They were planned since the beginning, they had time for development, even if it was a bit rushed. But they still have writing problems that we should address:
1. Amity's character almost dissapeared. During first season she was the most interesting character out of all, despite the fact that her arc was rushed and involved retcone. But after her redemption, she turned into sweet awkward nerdy girl. It's not realistic in any way to become completely different person in a couple of months, and it also made her boring. She's the second of three ex-villians who got the same new characterisation, which is bad by itself, but she also lost her special chemistry with Luz which we saw in Grom episode. This episode was Lumity's peak you can't deny it
2. Amity is just Luz's gf and nothing more. She has nothing to wish except being with Luz and seeing her being happy. No ambitions, no goals, no new friends. Just Luz. She thinks only about her, she talks only about her, she does everything only when it's about Luz. Only exception is Reaching Out, but it was also turned into Luz's thing. As much as I hate Huntlow, Hunter at least had something except love for Willow. It's bad not only because it makes Lumity a copy of awful mlw couple trope, it also doesn't show hurmful tendency (dependence on a partner and being obsessed with them) as something bad.
3. Lumity made Luz look bad. You know, dating your first friend's ex bestie and ex main bully is kinda messed up. It wouldn't be that problematic if Willow and Amity had already become friends again, but it's not what we've got.
4. Mistrust between Luz and Amity. I agree that the reason is that Luz is a bully victim and Amity reacted hurshly several times when Luz did something wrong. But it doesn't change the fact that it shows another hurmful idea that good partner has to forgive every bad thing and in the wrong for being offended. This moment of Amity would be cute if it appeared ones and clearly showed that she has changed and now she's much more patient with Luz. But in canon, Amity just allows Luz to treat herself like shit bu lying to her (and not only her) over and over again. And Luz lying three times (even if lie about Belos is justified) about things that are important for their shared future and for Amity's safety don't paint her in a good light. There's a line between not being too hursh to partner when they did something wrong and being a doormat for a partner because you were wrong in the past.
5. Imbalance in the effort invested in the relationship. As it is clear from my points that I made earlier, Luz is everything to Amity, while Amity for Luz is just a girlfriend. Amity's doing everything for Luz (which is not good), while Luz isn't even prioritize saving Amity over just being with Eda. In season three they barely interact at all. And now it isn't about Luz being the wrong one: it wasn't the right time for cute couple stuff. Actually, if you think about it, Luz's attitude towards Amity is much healthier. It's just too miserable to see Amity being Luz's loyal puppy who buried all her goals and ambitions, while Luz treating Amity like she treats other friends.
In conclusion, I don't say that they had to be like catr*dora or stol*z, no way. Healthy relationship should be portrayed in media, especially for kids. But there's the difference between being called healthy and being actually healthy. Lumity isn't abusive, isn't even toxic, it's just not a relationship goal. In the ideal world, their flaws should've been addressed and resolved in the show, so they can actually become healthy couple.

Hey
Want to know your opinion, how would you improve some arcs of toh characters, like Amity, Hunter, Lilith, Willow, Gus and probably anyone whose arcs you think are bad-written?
good question! let's see,
luz: i have mostly no complaints about her character but i wish they made it clear that her running off to the boiling isles was not ideal. i don't entirely blame her because she was a child and she was looking for a way to avoid going to camp, but the show starts off implying that luz's escapism was a bad thing, but then they kinda contradict that in the end, by letting her have access to the boiling isles forever.
also her s3 arc with her palisman was just overall poorly written. it was supposed to be an emotional and wholesome moment but it didn't have that impact on me. if luz's greatest wish was to be understood, they should have built on that more. i mean, it's not like no one understood her, all of her friends and found family in the boiling isles seem to understand and empathize with her. it just felt like the writers pulled this revelation out of their asses, and the fact that stringbean was inexplicably a shapeshifter didn't help their case.
amity: i would keep some parts of her initial characterization, like her ambitious nature and her resting bitch face energy. even if the idea was to make amity grow into a more cheerful person, it doesn't make sense that it happened so quickly. imo her characterization was at its best when she was warming up to luz but not entirely nice to other people (like during the grom episode). i really liked her cold, standoffish behaviour and i think it would have been nice if she had kept some of that, while still being a better person than she was in the beginning.
also, like i said in another post, she should definitely have goals of her own. her character shouldn't have been reduced to "luz's girlfriend". i would definitely show more of her interacting with the other characters (and these interactions and conversations aren't about luz) and pursuing her own dreams. i think steven universe did this best where connie liked steven a lot and she did hang out with him, but she also had her own life and her own dreams to chase.
hunter: i wouldn't put him in a relationship with willow, or anyone, for that matter. the poor boy has a lot of trauma he needs to work through and based on the stuff that he's said, it's clear that he doesn't know how healthy human interactions work, let alone a romantic relationship.
i would make his arc about slowly healing through his trauma or at least being able to express his emotions, instead of suppressing them for willow's sake. i think it could have been done, despite the time crunch. he needed time to grieve flapjack, to grieve himself after being possessed and almost killed by his abuser, and to slowly start his healing journey.
the others would definitely support him through it, but that's what he needs at the time, not a badass girlfriend.
lilith: i think her redemption arc started off okay but then everyone forgave her too quickly. it wasn't as bad as catra's because lilith did put a little effort into trying to be better, but she still needed to do more before she could have been forgiven.
so either i would extent her redemption arc and let the other characters, especially eda, stay mad at her a little longer before she gets forgiven. or i would just keep her as an antagonist.
they didn't even explore her trauma of being in a cult and the emperor's coven never chased her down after she left. not to mention, her experience of being in the emperor's coven is never relevant to the plot. she could have given luz inside information or talked about belos' potential weaknesses, it was such a missed opportunity.
willow: her arc with amity was not terrible and i like that she was allowed to take her time to trust amity. this is more about amity than willow but i think it would have been nice if we saw amity making more efforts to gain willow's trust. her apology in understanding willow was good but they kinda glossed over the fact that amity wasn't just "letting her friends bully willow", she was also bullying willow.
i think we needed more of willow and amity trying to mend their friendship, instead of lumity being the main focus after that one episode.
and in general, willow deserved a bigger role in the series. for the longest time, she was just luz's friend and then they forced her into a relationship with hunter, which did not work at all.
if her intended arc was to work on her insecurities and get more confident over time, they should have shown more of that process. even Any Sport In A Storm was mostly about huntlow (and hunter, to some extent) then willow. and let's be honest, the whole "half a witch" thing was dragged out more than it needed to be.
gus: okay, buckle up because i think i have the most grievances with gus. i need to make this clear. GUS WAS SO UNDERUSED.
i'm sorry. this guy is a child prodigy who can create illusions and use illusion spells to look into people's minds and force them to relive their worst memories?? why was this not more relevant to the plot? gus is such an insanely skilled witch and yet he's always pushed to the back for some reason. he has the most versatile and useful skillset but he never gets to use it, it makes me so mad!
even him looking into belos' mind was only used for that brief moment where he admits that he knew hunter was a grimwalker, but didn't want to force hunter to talk about it. that's it. we get no further conversation about it, gus never addresses the other stuff he saw in belos' memories like him MURDERING his brother and creating all the grimwalkers and god knows what else??
also just the fact that he's able to psychologically torment people with illusions is such an OP move that the series just kinda glossed over. it was used in a few episodes, but it could have been used to a greater extent. i just think that gus could have been such an interesting and powerful character, if he was given enough spotlight.
he also had a good thing going with mattholomule but instead of making that canon, they went for huntlow. i'm not saying that gus has to be in a relationship (or any of them, for that matter) but why create a new rushed ship when you already have a perfectly good one to work with?
i also find it weird that gus and willow were supposedly best friends but we got very few moments between them. i would have loved to see more of their friendship, and more focus on platonic relationships in general.
so yeah, if i were to rewrite gus, i would definitely give him a lot more spotlight. heck, given his powerset, he has the potential to be the main character even!
belos: i've mentioned it a lot before but belos deserved a more climatic end to his arc. all of the implications of religious trauma and puritan culture was thrown in the trash in s3.
he was actually such a compelling villain, genuinely intimidating and with an interesting motive and backstory. what was the point of crafting such an interesting character, just to be like "lol he's evil murder his ass"?
i'm not even mad that he died, i'm just mad that THAT'S how he died. i was expecting his death to be something ironic and self-inflicted, like the people from the human realm being horrified by him and killing him. maybe even burning him to death, the same way witches were burned at the stake. buuuut no, we get king, raine and eda stomping on his corpse because haha that's funny. hunter didn't even get to be a part of all this, and he was the one who deserved closure, he was the one who deserved to see his abuser face consequences of their actions, not fucking eda and raine.
and that part where he tries to convince luz that he was just under a terrible curse was just.. so childish. and not in-character childish, but just childish writing. it was just so ooc for belos, he is a manipulator but this wasn't how he manipulated people. i guess you could argue that he was just too desperate to survive but eh. i think it could have been written better.
eda: i don't have too many complaints here, i think she was probably the most well-rounded and compelling character in this show. her arc about the owl curse was interesting and very relatable to me, as someone who is epileptic. her relationship with raine was the best in the series imo.
the only thing i would change is, as I mentioned earlier, i wouldn't make eda forgive lilith so easily. i also think that she kind of lost her "morally grey parental figure" edge by the end of the series, and i honestly liked that part of her a lot, so i would keep it. but that's just a personal preference.
raine: they were definitely a very interesting character, i just think they deserved more screentime. most of their role in the story was surrounding their relationship with eda, which was very compelling, but we could have gotten more of their character outside their relationship.
the members of the emperor's coven, as a whole, could have been used better in the series. but for a side character with medium relevance to the plot, i'd say raine was written pretty well.

What if Lumity suffered from burn-out?
Sooooo.....Yeah, if you saw it, I made a post asking about the potentiality of Amity being a bit co-dependant. I've deleted it now because I see it was dumb and stupid and stupid and dumb. Amity is NOT co-dependant, she's just a bit clingy because Lumity is a teen relationship and they tend to be like that.
So, instead of that, how about I bring up something I feel could have been been very progressive. See, it's all well and good to show a healthy queer relationship, but how about we go a step further. How about we show that queer relationships can run into the same issues as straight ones? No, I'm not saying I wanted Lumity to start arguing and threatening each other with break-up, but running into that problem that plagues many relationships; burn-out!
Luz and Amity spend almost all of their time together. From what I can tell, Amity is almost entirely emotionally dependant on Luz. Tell me, wouldn't it be realistic to show Luz becoming emotionally drained by this? When teens believe they love each other, they tend to rush into relationships. These types of relationships tend to not last long, due to them not being emotionally mature enough to deal with real emotions. So, would they be able to spot the signs of burn-out if they made themselves known.
How about I give a little bit more?
-
Let's say that Luz and Amity have been together for a while now. They love each other! They spend almost all of their time around one another. It's great! At least, it would be, but Amity has begun to notice something about her favourite Human. Over the last few days, Luz has been acting different around her. Whenever she offers affection to Amity, her voice carries an undercurrent of weary obligation, or her smile doesn't reach her eyes. She seems tired!
Why is that? She seems to be getting enough sleep, so why would she be tired? And why...why does she only seem to be like that around her? Oh Titan, no! This was what Amity feared most! Is Luz...getting bored of her? But why? She's been a good girlfriend! They spend almost every day, and all day, together!
Is...Is she the problem? Amity begins overthrowing everything, trying to figure out what she did. She can't help but panic about the possibility that she's done something wrong. That Luz's strange demeanour is her fault. This does not go unnoticed by the other members of the Hexsquad.
Willow, Gus and Hunter discuss about what's going on with their friends. Luz isn't her usual cheery self and Amity now seems even more clingy than ever to her girlfriend. It may not be their place to stick their noses into their relationship, but something is definitely up. Well, Luz and Amity are almost always together. Luz often showers Amity with compliments, who always eats it up. Then, it clicks! That's what's going on here! Luz is suffering from burn-out!
The trio devise a plan to try and help with this issue. They come to a conclusion. Separating the pair for a day and getting to talking with them. Willow and Gus take Amity, while Hunter takes Luz. This would give the two some healthy time apart, and give their friends some time to interrogate them.
Amity doesn't take this well. She's constantly worrying about what Luz is up to, if she's angry or upset at her. Was all this set up by Luz to get away from her? She'll check in with a text! Just one and that's it. Gus and Willow put a stop to that! This isn't about Luz! Well, it is, but not ENTIRELY about her.
The pair reassure Amity's worries that Luz is not upset with her, or Titan forbid bored of her. The issue that's come up is burn-out. The pair spent nearly every waking moment around each other, and even though they love each other more than anything, that can be tiring. 'Time apart is healthy' they tell her. If you spend all of your time with someone, especially someone you're emotionally dependant on, it can lead to your time together feeling less special and could even lead to one or both of you developing negative feelings.
Amity will then blame herself. She thinks all of this is her fault for pushing Luz so much with needing affection, but it isn't her fault. She loves Luz and sees the world in her, but Luz can't keep up with the love all the time. She has to learn that Luz will always love her, but she can't ALWAYS love her. Even just a few days is all she needs to 'recharge' in a sense. She needs some time away from Amity, with her other friends or even just on her own.
This would also give Amity some time with just Willow and Gus. She can rekindle more of her friendship with Willow (which was very much sidelined. At times I forgot they were once friends) and get to know Gus (seriously, do they ever interact? Just the two of them, I mean?). Amity can be shown that she has friends outside of Luz who care for her and she can rely on. For the first time in a long while, her mind is off of Luz, and she doesn't mind it.
But what is Luz up to?
-
Luz is spending time with Hunter, who's trying to get her to open up. Does she know why she's acting like how she is? Burn-out? What an idea! Luz isn't burnt out, she's just....not getting much sleep! Hunter doesn't believe it for a second.
Hunter - "It's Amity, isn't it?"
Luz - "Hey, what are you trying to say? This is HER fault?"
Hunter - "I didn't say it was her fault, I was saying that this change in demeanour is related to her! I want to know exactly how you're feeling about her!"
Luz - "You're sure you wanna know?"
Hunter - "I want to know exactly how you and Amity are working right now! No sugarcoating!"
Luz - "Okay, I'll tell you what's up! I'm...tired, okay? I'm tired! There, I said it!"
Hunter - "Tired of what? Amity?"
Luz - *groans and rolls her eyes* "Don't say it like that......but yes! We spend so much time together. All day every day, she's there, even when I honestly just want to be on my own. Look, I love Amity! I love her more than anything, but I just...*sighs* I know it sounds really really selfish, but I just want some me time! I want to spend some time with King, or one of you guys, but Amity is always there!"
Hunter patiently watches and listens.
Luz - "And the worst part; I don't know how to fix this! If I leave it, I'm just gonna be tired all the time around her. If I ignore her, she's gonna assume I'm getting bored of her. If I tell her I don't want to spend time with her, she's gonna think she's a problem. How do I tell her about this without hurting her?
Hunter can then suggest just coming out and saying that you'd like some alone time, away from Amity. Even if it hurts her, this is no way to live, feeling constantly emotionally drained. She will understand that it is a good thing to have some time apart. Plus, it's only for a short time, a few days max.
Later that day, or the next, the Hexsquad meets up again. Hunter, Willow and Gus expected the separated lovers to rush into each other's arms, but they don't. Luz and Amity slowly walk to each other, both offering embarrassed smiles. Amity apologises that she's been overly clingy and making Luz feel emotionally drained, who in turn apologises for not coming clean about her problems and just leaving them to get worse.
The two girls agree that they should have just a few days apart, to 'recharge their batteries' as Luz puts it. But then, they'll be right back at each other's side. They come to an agreement that they should take at the very least one weekend every month where they separate and spend time with other people.
-
Did all this make sense? Thoughts?

You said the arcs of certain characters in TOH have an 'Us vs. Them mentality.' I take it that's because, as you say, the narrative pins the bad qualities of certain characters on separate parties (e.g. "Amity's flaws are only because of her mom"), but would you care to elaborate further on said mentality and how it sticks out to you in TOH?
So shockingly, not really. It plays into it but I am actually inherently talking about the same sort of mentality that Belos perpetuates but back onto Luz. After all, if you look at the main cast by even mid season 2 we have a problem forming. Eda: Has lost her criminal edge, has no personal interests, is defined by being nice in a way befitting Luz's worldview. Momma Eda.
Amity: No longer is studious and hard working but instead focuses more on her girlfriend and her nerdy interests. Is also now just nice. Was only shown genuine care by Luz, instead of just trying to fulfill her nerdy desires, once she finds out Amity is into Azura.
Lilith: Has turned into a nerd and given up on any ambitions that had led to her previous actions, becoming a nice cool aunt. Only now has Luz tried to form any relationship with her (admittedly, she didn't get many chances before now).
Hunter: Has only been being given kindness because he has shown a capacity for kindness that Luz only really started showing him, beyond not wanting him to die, once he showed he had a nerdy interest in wild magic.
Gus: Was a nerd from go and always nice, even if he could be slightly selfish.
Willow: By mid S2, is essentially out of the show for the past half season, has never had a strong personality and is just nice. Yes, she'll start her jock stuff soon... And never have a real conversation with Luz again, at least not until S3 maybe? So a full season where Luz and Willow, after Willow might have stopped being nerdy/an outcast, where Luz doesn't have an interest in her anymore.
And uh, just as a reminder to S3, Hunter gains a scifi interest post redemption and Luz explicitly listens to NOTHING her mother says to her during her big speech in For the Future until she reveals herself to be a secret nerd. At that point, suddenly Luz dials in.
For TOH, a show supposedly about the individual and self expression, characters either lose their personality and/or gain the personality that matches LUZ. There is less character variety in interests and personalities than even 90s cartoons much of the time by the end of TOH because these characters all lose so much of themselves fitting in with the good guys, especially the redeemed ones.
This is where your argument for this does come into play. I'll frame it as the fandom likes to with Amity: "She didn't have Luz in her life yet."
Amity is only a bitch while she is hanging out with the wrong crowd. Socialites, those with ambition and jocks. The Luz enters her life and despite the fact that the ONE time Luz ever calls Amity out for being a bitch being when Amity is being a bully to King and clearly trying to get a rise out of Luz, making that moment meaningless, that simple fact starts warping Amity. Starts making her turn back to her good, nerdy side. And because this is such an inherently good thing, there is no difficulty in doing this. She needs no motivation, no calling out, nothing. She just needs to desire to be like Luz/liked by Luz. She can discard her entire friend group and do things that should get her disowned with how evil Odalia is and face zero consequences because... I guess that's the power of becoming a nerd.
You are beyond reproach. You can only do good. Same goes for Hunter. Despite YEARS of potential propaganda and the like, Luz just getting into his life and admittedly jabbing at Belos/him a little, is all it takes for him to embrace the inherent goodness, displayed by his nerdiness about wild magic, and start becoming a better person. For this, he loses his home but that is only seen as a positive because indeed, he got away from those hostile that made him a bad person. He could now be a good person because he no longer had those influences and could embrace Luz's way of life.
With the show's themes, why is this the case? Shouldn't their base personalities be allowed to exist? Shouldn't a wide range of ideologies and the like be allowed since that is a part of self expression? Instead, when people don't like Luz approves, they are disapproved by Luz and either need to get the fuck out or conform.
And this is all without getting into how she becomes Jesus in the last episode...
None of this is intentional but if someone told me that the show felt hostile to them because they didn't consider themselves a nerd or because they tried to get somewhere in life, I wouldn't blame them. The show has a weirdly narrow belief in who is a good person. Who is allowed to exist in the main cast, a problem that cascades issues into a lot of its themes. I mean, this is the first show I've ever had to ask if character arcs are actually hurt the themes of the show because of this, a blog I sadly couldn't refind.
There is admittedly an element of this where I might not have thought about it without the fandom. Most people I know who are multi-fandom still agree that TOH is aggressive against others, even for a fandom. That it lashes out and blames others for its problems. Almost like a *gestures at the thesis*
And that doesn't help make any of this be less uncomfortable unfortunately. See you next tale.

Hey can I Request a hc of Luz and friends meeting a Discord reader?
Plot: Luz and friends are wandering the forest until they discovering a statue of the reader. They went up to it to get a closer look but for some reason they all decided to argue on something and Because of that, the statue started to crack setting free the spirit of chaos and disharmony. Some chaotic wacky hijinks happens and now they're pretty good friends and the reader wants to help get them back to the boiling Isles.
Sorry if the plot sucks
♡A/N: RAAAAAAAAA OMGGGGGG i love discord so much he is so silly!!!!! I would absolutely love to write for this!!!! Im assuming this is when they were in the human world when you say 'help get back to the boiling isles, so thats what i did!!!! I also didnt add vee in this one- sorry!!! This ones alittle short, but i had to write for this!!!! Abit ooc!!!! Tysm for requesting!!!!!!♡
Luz, Amity, Gus, Hunter, Willow + GN! Discord reader!
☆ the moment you burst out of your stone prison, you already had spells thrown at you left and right, having startling the group, who completely forgot about their previous argument and now were focused on the new entity
☆ You hardly shown any phase as you flickered your hand and their attacks just flew into the nearby statues of the yard. Before yawning and asking if they were done
☆ of course, the gang did not like you to begin with, not one bit. A weird myrhical... beast infront of them that reflected their magic with a single flick of a wrist. Not onlt that, but you had such insane abilities that put them oj edge... immediately thinking that you're like the collector in disguise
☆ Luz was the first to react to you without hostility. You were a beast with magical power, magic power that she had never seen before. If you were possibly here, then maybe there was a way that you could help them back! She was desprate for anything, and despite her girlfriends protests, she was the first to accept you
☆ she also was very curious and intrigued by you. So you told her what you were, a draconequus. And you tried to answer as many questions as you can that flabbered out of her mouth. But had to let her down when you told her you didnt know a way back, that you had been stuck in stone for such a long time that you couldnt even remember how toy made it to the human world. Despite her sadness, you reasurred her that youd help in any way that you can
☆ Gus was the second. The illusionist already took great wonder to your weird form. It was almost immediately after Luz and you had your conversation, Gus was already up in your grill and interviewing you with Luz. Both of them were fascinated! So you caved in abd showed the both of them some of your abilities
☆ after that, Gus would find ways to wrangle you into certain activites, whether it be games or lil friend pranks! Gus quickly took a liking to you, and the fact that you can cause illusions, but REAL illusions! He definitely tried to ask you to make certain things from his and hunters favorite series
☆ Willow was third. She was weary, but seeing how Gus quickly took quite a liking to you, she let lose some of her concerns. Enough to let Gus drag her over to meet her properly. You were very nice to her, which caught her off gaurd, but she decided you were fine, especially since you didnt try to attack her or gus or anyone else in tjat manner. You and her strike up lovely conversations!
☆ asks you sometimes what plants you can make, and when you shown her you can basically make your own, she was astounded! She taught you how to take care of plants properly without smashing them as soon as you touch it<3
☆ Hunter was the fourth. Especially after dealing with so much trauma, he didnt like you, neither did he like how your power was so similar to the collecters. That any moment you could take apart the world and bend it together in your own reality of play. It was hard get Hunter to fully trust you.
☆ though, seeing how gus and willow took a liking to you and talked to you, Hunter let his gaurd down abit with you. You noticed how he would give you these questioning looks, or feel him watching you. It wasnt until you poofed a wolf puppy into your hands he decided he liked you. You gained his trust stupidly, because you poofed a wolf pup in the room and he got to hold it until you poofed it away. He was over the moon about it!
☆ Amity was the fifth. Out of all of them, she was the hardest to crack. She didnt trust you one bit, she didnt like you. Youd always walk into a room and she would immediate be glaring at you. You really didn't even know how you could get her to trust you. Everything you tried she would brush of her soilder. Your magic set her off edge, and she was destined to protect her friends, aswell as your big and looming appearance
☆ she protested against Luz getting near you, being the protective girlfriend she is. But the way you were kind to the rest of her friends, she softened. Though, she still had a hard time striking a conversion with you, but, the fact you shown no hostility to them, she deemed you.... okay, for now. Until you usr your magic to help them, she woukd accept you as an ally
☆ When you actuallt started helping them find their way back to the boiling isles, you were valuable. Out of the group you had the strongest abilities. Which ment you were probably the biggest hope for them to get home! They depended on you, and instead of uding your magic badly, you did your best to impress your friends and help them in any way you could

This is such a bad take that I saw on Twitter.
First, Lumity is the main ship and sapphic representation of the show, not Huntlow. Luz and Amity have been officially dating for months, so it's normal for them to kiss a few times on screen. It's a big win for the LGBT+ community.
Also, Raeda is another side ship, but why does Raeda still have one kiss scene, but Huntlow doesn't have any?
Because both ships are more romantically explicit than Huntlow.
For instance, Luz and Amity ask each other out, call each other girlfriends, and other people acknowledge their relationship.
Meanwhile, Hunter and Willow don't have any of those. There's no explicit scene of them asking each other out. All they did was holding each other's pinkies. If you remove all the blushes of Hunter and Willow in S3 but still with the same conversations and interaction, they look like just normal friends. That's why even though I accept that Huntlow is canon, I don't really believe they're actually dating. Seeing them kiss is kind of forced and out of nowhere, personally.
Second, Luz looks depressed in this scene, and Amity wants to comfort her and to make her feel better. That's Amity's purpose, not because she wants to cling on Luz or act possessively. It's normal to comfort your partner when you see them get upset. After Luz pulls away, Amity doesn't ask why Luz does that or continues to get closer to Luz. She respects Luz's boundaries and changes the subject.
Lastly, saying Luz doesn't need comfort from Amity is OOC of her. She does need comfort, but she thinks she doesn't deserve it. In FTF, Luz is still planning to stay in the Human Realm forever, which means she will have to leave Amity behind. Luz doesn't want Amity to get too attached to her because it will be more hurtful when they have to separate.
Additionally, Luz's depression is explicitly shown in S3, everyone knows, Camilla even talks to Willow and Gus about that.
So Amity knows Luz is traumatized, and is she supposed to leave Luz alone with her grief like that? With no comfort? Before FTF, Luz still accepts Amity's affection without pushing her away. Before going to the portal, Amity kisses Luz's cheek, Luz accepts that and even smiles at Amity. This means Luz doesn't feel annoyed when Amity comforts her and she certainly never tells Amity to leave her alone before.
If Amity gets closer to Luz to comfort her, people will say she's clingy and annoying. But if Amity didn't do that, people would say she's a bad girlfriend for not comforting Luz when she's depressed, or Luz and Amity's relationship has no understanding, comforting and connection. There's no winning, seriously.

I feel like the nature of Luz and Hunter's relationship will be slightly demystified by the time Amity and Luz start kissing but there's something really funny about the prospect that the entire time Amity's just like "Okay yeah, Hunter, I'm gonna kiss your girlfriend now. Sorry, not sorry," and from her perspective Hunter's just like:
-shrug emoji-
-goes back to trying to sleep in peace-
i'm laughing. in the current draft i do have a bit where, after they've kissed a bunch and hunter has been performatively disgruntled about them kissing a bunch, amity is like ".....so i guess you two have never done that, huh....??" because up to that point she's been like. well. Anything Is Possible .
#IT REALLY IS LIKE 'HEY HUNTER I'M GONNA KISS YOUR GIRLFRIEND NOW. I WILL NOT BE KISSING YOU THOUGH'#and hunter just being like 'you can do whatever you want forever. i'm gonna grump about it tho.'#replies#toh#princess luz au#lumity#shitty idiot repression gang

pregnant s/o hcs ; hunter
requested by ; anonymous (30/04/23)
fandom(s) ; the owl house
fandom masterlist(s) ; main | hunter-only
character(s) ; hunter wittebane
outline ; “hcs for hunter x pregnant! reader 👀 id place them at about 27 years both they have their lives planned and it just happened! + The gangs reactions”
warning(s) ; none, just fluff!
now neither of you had necessarily planned for this to happen — like, at all
yes you’d had the conversation about kids when you first started dating because you wanted to make sure you were on the same page
because being young didn’t mean that you weren’t dating to stay together
so you both knew that you wanted a kid, eventually, and you were both at a point in your lives where it was stable for the first time ever
you’d just moved in to your first family home, one on the titan’s stomach so you had a wonderful garden
hunter was making excellent money as a palisman carver and you’d even started growing your own palistrum saplings in a little nursery at home
magic was just starting to stabilise after the whole belos situation
and you’d settled well into your job as a teacher at eda’s wild magic university
it was the perfect time and it… well
it just happened
you’d started feeling a bit unwell and your cycle was late and you were starting to feel a little bit bloated and hunter was worrying himself sick
so you went off to a checkup at the new hospital, perfectly calm and sure nothing would happen
and then you got the news
you were like actually really pregnant
neither of you knew how to react, staying silent and frozen for a few beats, before you finally realised what had just happened
and you just started grinning and celebrating and hunter picked you up and spun you around in a circle as you giggled and repeated the news
you were going to be parents
you were going to have a baby
like for real
and you couldn’t wait
you’re given a few potions to take for your nausea and your doctor insists you stop by for regular appointments since your pregnancy is a very new phenomenon — hunter being a grimwalker, and all
and that was when the next chapter of your lives together officially began
you gathered everyone at your home under the guise of a housewarming party to deliver the news and everyone was thrilled for you
king made a joke about being your ‘practise baby’
luz and amity were crying and amity was just barely holding back her girlfriend from tackling you
willow was grinning broadly as she pulled you both into a hug and said she was so insanely happy for you
(as well as touching your stomach and very sternly telling your baby to behave and stop making you ill)
gus used his illusions to pull together a whole celebration out of thin air and said how excited he was to be an uncle
eda slapped hunter on the back and told him he’d done good
lilith was trying to hold back her tears as she gave you both a hug and congratulated you
camilla kissed you on the cheek and gave hunter a kiss and said something about how all of her babies growing up
(she said something similar at luz and amity’s wedding a few years ago)
and darius and eberwolf were just sticking with hunter and joking with him about finally tying you down — darius tried to hide how teary-eyed he was behind a remark about finally getting to be a grandparent
which made hunter cry
but yeah you all made a day of it and you couldn’t ask for a better support system of aunts and uncles and grandparents for you baby to have in their life
even if willow and eda were getting really into the idea of teaching them to play grudgby and flyer derby…
as your pregnancy progressed your sickness gradually went away and hunter started to make a point of sitting down and talking to your bump every night
like you’ll be laying in bed, comfy as can be, and he’ll sit down beside you and just place his hand over your bump as he talks in this loving voice to your baby
he talks about his day, how he grew up, and how he’s changed
he tells them to behave and stop giving you heartburn and kicking your bladder
he promises that he’ll never make them feel unloved or unwanted — that they’ll never doubt themselves for even a second of their life
and you cry and tell him he’s gonna be the best dad
and he says that he knows he will because he’s got you by his side
and you spend the rest of your pregnancy prepping the nursery and clothes and crying over how small baby shoes are and being more in love with your boyfriend than ever
you can’t wait to start a family with him — and by the size of your bump you won’t have to wait much longer

The Problems with how Lumity is handled...
Lumity isn't toxic, but it isn't the healthiest relationship either...
One of the problems with Lumity is that Luz and Amity started dating, when they were just starting to be friends and they kinda rushed into it.
The only thing they knew about each other at the time is that they both like the same fantasy stories, like Azura, and that Amity is a hard-worker coming from a messed-up family.
Which Luz and the show kinda use it as an excuse to sugarcoat Amity's meanness... including how Amity treated Willow.
Luz and the show kinda forget/ignore for a while that Amity was Willow's bully, while Luz was bonding with Amity.
How would you feel if your new friend tried to befriend your bully behind your back?
I know that Luz doesn't have the best social skills, but even she should know that befriending and dating your best friend's bully is NOT OKAY.
Willow and Gus might as well not exist, since the show focuses so much time on Luz and Amity.
Amity also stepped on King's cupcake, which was rude.
And after they became friends/girlfriends, Luz is secretly kinda afraid of Amity or at least afraid of disappointing her and I can't blame her.
Before they dated, Amity tried to have Luz dissected (were not sure if that knife was fake or not), tried to make her give up magic training and tried to beat Luz up with a giant abomination during their duel (while seeming to enjoy it).
She also gets angry at Luz a lot, even over things that aren't Luz's fault. And Luz almost always loses her backbone. Luz even cried once in Season 2, cause Amity made Luz feel guilty over Amity losing her library job.
Even during the episode where Luz confesses her feelings, Luz is scared Amity is gonna be mean to her again.
That's why Luz kept secrets from Amity, because Luz doesn't want Amity to blame her again and/or break up with her.
Again, I don't blame Luz, but trust is important for any relationship both platonic and romantic...and Luz cares about Amity but doesn't seem to trust her sometimes.
In fact, Luz is more willing to talk about her secrets with Hunter (who was also her enemy) more than Amity.
Meanwhile with Amity, after Amity dyes her hair purple (which is Luz's color, despite her claiming it to be abomination colored) and starts dating Luz, her personality changes almost completely. Now, Amity went from a cold and smug yet ambitious girl to simply 'Luz's love interest'. Amity almost never gets angry with Luz now and is kinda obsessed with her human girlfriend.
I think Amity is patient with Luz while dating her, cause when Amity saw Luz cry, she realizes how much she is hurting Luz with her words... which is nice but creates a different problem.
Amity doesn't know how to be her own person anymore. She went from being the person that her Mom wants her to be, to being the person she thinks Luz would want. Trying to be a better person is great, but changing who you are too much to please someone isn't healthy.
In my opinion, Amity should've taken a bit more time figuring out who she truly wants to be, before entering a romantic relationship with anyone.
How would I fix this?
Well for starters I would either have Luz bond with Amity after Amity apologized to Willow OR have Amity not be a bully, just a cold and serious girl that wished to join the Emperor's Coven.
And after Luz and Amity become friends/girlfriends, Amity is still a serious girl, but she's softer around Luz and Willow (similar to how Tigress is with Po in Kung Fu Panda 2, or how Astrid is with Hiccup in How To Train Your Dragon).
Amity also has a new dream as a teacher for kids, after she learns Emperor Belos is evil.

I am sapphic and I genuinely cannot stand Lumity. I'm happy for the Bi and Lesbian rep. But they were so terribly written it literally makes me cringe watching season one. Luz is committed to being this girls friend even after seeing her bully and torment a girl who was just kind to her. This same girl looks down on her. Then all of a sudden over one episode you see her change her mind. They are not well written, their whole 'chemistry' is placed soley on one sided blushing. They have literally only one thing in common and everyone goes nuts saying its enemies to lovers and its NOT. They were BARELY enemies and its resolved in like two episodes before Amity is crushing. And then as soon as they're together Amity's entire personality is 'Luz's girlfriend' and thats IT. Even in the finale Amity is not dressed how Amity would dress- she's dressed so she looks good next to Luz.
They suck. I hate that this is the first official rep we get for a Bi and a Lesbian character, and I hate how this fandom is full of babies who have no object permanence when it comes to shipping to the point of crying under ship posts with other characters and cringily rping about their poor beloved Lumity being erased because someone drew Luz smooching Willow or Hunter or Edric or Emira or Amity macking on Willow or Boscha. I hope every time an immature, spoiled Lumity fan sees a different ship in a piece of art they cry. Get over your weird attachment to these paper dolls and make your own content instead of harassing other fans.

In the begging, everything was a little bit awkward. Sweet, but awkward. Of course, that is to be expected when someone first starts dating, and three people at that! But alas, you all worked through all of the nervousness and became even closer than before!
Sometimes, being in a relationship with three people can be a bit chaotic, but luckily, you’re all masters of talking things out. Trust is one of the most important things in a relationship you know!
Luz and Amity has sort of a “sun and moon” thing going on, with you being their eclipse to balance it all out. Perfect relationship in every way!

When it comes to comfort, these girls are the best! First of all, they are both such good listeners and they give the best advice when you need it. Although, sometimes people don’t really want advice or logic when their feeling blue, and in that case, you’re girlfriends are ready with as much cuddles and words of affirmation as you need! Supportive gfs <3
Speaking of cuddles, Luz and Amity both give such good hugs, their heavenly fr. Even though Amity can sometimes be a bit awkward about it (her body just goes stiff as a board), it’s always so wholesome and sweet. Usually, Luz is the big spoon with either you or Amity in the middle, or you guys are all just huddled up in one big messy pile. Eda and King always finds it so adorable whenever you guys fall asleep together on the couch, and you can trust that they take a bunch of pictures too.
Amity often gets really flustered around you and Luz, which usually results in a lot of teasing. Her tomato face can just be too cute sometimes, and trust me, you get to se it A LOT!
Luz however doesn’t get flustered as much as Amity, but it’s still easy to get a stunned expression and red tinted cheeks out of her. You just gotta know what to say.
You all literally scream relationship goals fr.

Now, when it comes to the rest of the gang, they all support you guys so much! They think it’s so cool that you guys have a relationship, and even though they tease you about it from time to time (especially Eda, while Hunter mostly gets annoyed from all your lovey dovey stuff), they truly think that what you guys have is the sweetest thing ever. Oh and Hooty is your biggest fangirl, I’m not even joking.
Luz and Amity can be protective AF! Don’t get me wrong, they don’t really go around and get jealous of everything and stuff, but if anyone, witch or human, says anything to upset their girl, they’re really gonna get it.
Kisses with these two are usually fast and sweet.
Luz normally just goes in for a quick peck before turning away with pink tinted cheeks and a small smile, acting like nothing happened.
Amity on the other hand looks at you a bit before slowly leaning in. Afterward, she quickly retrieves, face completely burning up and her eyes as wide as plates. (Sort of like when she kissed Luz’s cheek in that one episode)
These girls are absolute suckers for hugs n’ kisses, and especially when they’re from you~
You guys are the most dorky couple EVER! Your all so silly, it’s adorable honestly.
Luz definitely loves picking her two girls up. She might say she has weak nerd arms, but we’ve all seen that that’s not true. There has been moments when she just comes up behind you, and with a little “aaand scoop!” she simply swipes you off of the ground while giggling.
I feel like you all give off kinda like a summerly girl in red vibe.
You and your girlfriends DEFINITELY have sleepovers and Azura movie nights! (I also said this in my Amity fic, haha)
Praise is one of the main factors of your relationship. These girl got TRAUMA and since you probably also got some as well (taken in perspective that the whole cast of this show have and does go through a lot), praise and words of affirmation/encouragement is super important to them.
——————————————————————————
When you got sent to the human realm, it was a hard time for everyone, but with the love and support from each other, you all managed to make the best of it and have a wonderful time together.
Camilla absolutely loves you and Amity so much, she is such a sweetheart!!
After some quality time spent in the human realm, you and the others, along with Camilla, finally managed to return to the Boiling Isles. And as we all know, even more challenges were lying ahead.
When things seemed dark, you, Luz and Amity always stuck together, and supported each other the whole way, never ever letting you or each other feel like they were alone in this.
In the end, you all helped each other so much with developing as a person! With all of the love and encouragement, everything turned out just fine, and these girls couldn’t be happier! Ever since this whole crazy adventure started, you’ve all gotten so much closer together, and really formed a special bond. To be able to be in a relationship with you like this is the best things to have happened to either Luz or Amity, and they never want to let that go in the hopes to someday be able to put a ring on it.
Anyways, thank you so much for reading, and feel free to send in more toh requests<33
