Let’s be honest, it’s not a secret that I LOVE this show. I write fanfic for it, I re-watch it a lot, I think about it a lot and I will reblog any gifs that I find of it.

This show introduced me to who I like to call my primary bias - Lee Jong Suk! 💜 It also introduced me to Han Hyo Joo!

This show isn’t perfect, but I love it. Flaws and all 💜

It’s extremely hard to pin down why I love this show, I just do! The premise of the show is fun to me, I love the idea of winding up in your favorite book or book series. I love the romance, the chemistry, the cute fluff moments, the really cool special effects, etc. This show is just really fun and interesting to watch and I’m always noticing new and cool things about it!

Romance Is A Bonus Book

Another Lee Jong Suk drama! I had to limit myself to just two otherwise the vast majority of this would have been Lee Jong Suk dramas lol

Anyway, if (for whatever reason) I can’t rewatch W, then I’m more than likely watching this drama, which is why I put it in the 2nd place spot on this list.

Though I tend to prefer my romantic K-Dramas more on the fantasy side of things, this is a drama that’s a little more grounded in reality that I can enjoy (mostly reality aside from the telepathy moment which I think is a reference/call-back to LJS’s role in I Can Hear Your Voice).

Watching this drama gives me the exact vibe of curling up with a good book in a cozy reading nook with a blanket and a hot beverage. Which, I think was very much the intention considering the way each episode ends.

In my opinion, this drama is very much a book lover’s drama. As someone who loves to read and write and practically lived in the library as a kid, this drama just brings me back to those feelings. It’s just… cozy. It’s warm, fluffy and comforting to me and I love to come back to it again and again when I just need the comforting vibes.

Happiness

A surprise on this list. Trust me when I say that I never expected to one day have a show on this sort of list that would have zombies in it, a zombie apocalypse or anything even remotely horror-genre-like.

I had been on the fence about watching this show for awhile. It looked good, on top of that it has Han Hyo Joo and Park Hyung Sik, but the zombie thing was a turn off for me because I don’t really do horror and I don’t like zombies because (to me) they’re among the more… grotesque fictional monsters. Granted, malicious ghost possessions are also up there. There’s something about watching a body move in ways that it shouldn’t that makes me sick to my stomach.

Anyway, a wonderful tumblr mutual turned friend ended up telling me that I should go ahead and watch it because I was going to love it. They were not wrong! Forever thankful to them for giving me that lil push to watch it! 💜

This show’s version of zombies are less scary and a lot more human, so I wasn’t repulsed by them. More importantly though is the wonderful slow-burn romance going on at the same time between the main characters, there’s also a found family theme and fluff resulting from all of that!

I’m putting this in the third spot on this list because I have watched it fewer times than the first two and it’s definitely a “have to be in the mood for” thing because rewatching it in full means suffering through the rest of the insufferable residents in their apartment building 💔

Shopaholic Louis/Shopping King Louie

A very cute drama about a 3rd gen chaebol heir who gets amnesia, lost in an unfamiliar city and relying heavily on a country girl who is also new to the city. He’s absolutely smitten with her at first sight and he’s just a sweet puppy of a boy who follows her around and wants to lavish her with things they can’t afford in their current state lol

This show is big on fluff! How could it not end up on this list? I really loved this show, Seo In Guk is so cute in this and the romance is equally cute and innocent 💜

The antagonists are largely incompetent, so it makes things low-stakes, but it makes for just a really nice fluff watch in my opinion!

Extra-Ordinary You

The only high school drama on this list, but that’s okay!

I love this show! Even though this ended up down at the bottom of this list, it’s really only because I find Baek Kyung insufferable lol

Anyway, I adore the cute romance in this show! Ha-ru is just an adorable soft boi and I adore him with my whole heart. This show is 100% why Rowoon ended up becoming a bias lol

This drama reminds me a lot of W in some ways, which is probably why I’m working on a fic mashing the two together or something lol

always happy about the fact that in 2012, mikey often asked donnie questions if he didn't understand something and donnie always answered no matter what

this can be seen in a bunch of episodes but my favorite example of it it's the one in half shell heroes where mikey is extremely excited to be in the museums and is the one actively asking donnie questions about the exhibits they saw and also actively listening to donnie's explanation (before raph got silly lmao). he was very excited to learn!!!

And while it's true that mikey would lose interest quite fast if the explanation got too lengthy with too many technical terms, it doesn't change the fact that he does retain the info donnie is always rambling on about different things!!! (even if mikey himself doesn't notice he's doing it lol) and also i find it very sweet that no matter if donnie himself got annoyed, donnie would always answer the questions. no matter what. he would always try to explain if he didn't understand something

This is prob because mikey is the one brother who is often seeking out donnie to pass time around him Meaning that donnie might have used mikey as his rubber ducky whenever mikey hangs out with him while he's working (explained him a lot of his experiments and theories while trying to solve them himself and in this way mikey also learnt in the process WHILE spending time with his brother! win win!)

it also helps donnie because accompanies him while not letting him get lonely in his lab 24/7, sometimes explaining things to someone makes it better to understand it yourself AND it's shown in the comics that donnie is quite used to his brothers just Living as background noise and literally cannot function without it lmao

They are literally the two smart kids in the family even if none of them notice it and it's all because mikey looks up to his brother and is like an sponge with donnie around. donnie is actively teaching mikey and mikey is learning! even if they have no idea they are doing it

Hello! Apologies for how long it has taken me to respond to this! Throughout the Middle Ages and the early modern period, there were a number of Arthurian texts written by and for Jewish people in Jewish languages. The one I specialize in is an Old Yiddish text called Vidvilt, which is part of the Fair Unknown tradition and based off an earlier German text called Wigalois. This text was super popular in the Yiddish-speaking world for about three centuries or so and was reworked and reprinted a number of times. I already discussed some of those adaptations a while ago in response to this ask.

Predating Vidvilt, there was a Hebrew Arthurian text written in the 13th century which is now commonly known as Melekh Artus. This was based on Old French sources and tells the story of Arthur's birth and Lancelot's affair with Guinevere before breaking off unfinished. The most common edition of the text used today is the one by Curt Leviant, though I just read a fascinating article in the latest issue of the Journal of the International Arthurian Society calling into question some of his transcription choices and the conclusions he draws in his analysis of the text.

I also recently read that a fragment of an Arthurian text in Judeo-Catalan was recently discovered, but I'm afraid I don't know much about it as yet other than that it's apparently a late medieval adaptation of Jaufre.

Chivalric romances of both Christian and Jewish origin were extremely popular among medieval and early modern Jews in general. There were a number of non-Arthurian knight stories that were very popular as well; for example, the most famous and influential work of early Yiddish literature was a chivalric epic called Bovo d'Antona, and a survey I read of the literature in Jewish households in early modern Italy shows that the most popular non-religious work among Jews at that time was Orlando Furioso.

It is worth noting that, even though some of these texts were written by and for Jews, that doesn't necessarily mean that the characters in them were Jewish. Jewish writers generally tended to modify their Christian source materials by gliding over or obscuring references to religion, rather than depicting Judaism directly (the reasons for this are complex and could constitute a whole paper, so I won't get into it here). That being said, medieval Jewish knights did exist in real life, too! There are a few medieval historians who do research into exactly when, where, and under what circumstances Jews were allowed to bear arms, but it definitely wasn't exclusively a literary thing.

"Kiss me," the villain said.

"No fucking way." A horrible blush started to spread over the hero's neck. The worst thing about this was that this had been their idea in the first place.

They were ashamed to admit it but when they had arrested the villain a few months ago, they had suggested to the judge a different kind of punishment. At the time, there wasn't much evidence of the villain's criminal activities, so the hero had thought it to be more practical if the villain had to work together with other heroes. As a kind of community service.

After all, the villain was smart when it came to these schemes.

However, for whatever reason, they had been paired together. The hero didn't quite know what to do with themselves now. Ever since the mission had started, their brain wasn't functioning at all. It was quite self-explanatory. The villain was incredibly attractive and they were joking around, seizing every opportunity to flirt with the hero.

The hero suspected it to be some scheme to throw them off their game. But they couldn't be sure.

"These guys over there have been eyeing us the entire evening. If you ask me, they're not buying our little act." The villain let their fingertips ghost over the hero's knuckles and the hero's heart started to throb. The hero didn't turn around to look at the suspicious people the villain had been talking about. Their mind was somewhere else entirely.

On this after show party, they were supposed to observe highly influential people for suspicious activity. An election was coming up and although the hero loathed politics, it was obviously the right thing to do. They weren't supposed to be the ones being observed.

Usually, the hero wasn't very fond of undercover work. They were a horrible liar and improvisation wasn't their strong suit either. For the last few days, the villain had saved them more than once from embarrassing slip-ups. It was quite pathetic.

"And you have been flirted with already," the villain said. Somehow, their voice sounded bitter.

"They were just being nice," the hero said. They shifted on their chair. If someone was indeed observing them, maybe kissing the villain was the right thing to do. God, the hero didn't have much experience and they feared they would make a fool out of themsleves once again.

The villain probably had a new lover every week or so.

"They wanted to buy you a drink."

"Ehh," the hero said. "It doesn't really matter, does it?"

"It's compromising the mission."

"Is that person who wanted to buy me a drink one of those guys who have been 'eyeing' us the entire evening?" the hero asked. They leaned over and took the villain's hand. Whenever they looked into the villain's eyes, their stupid heart skipped a beat but they tried to come closer, to appear more in love.

It was quite strange for them to display physical intimacy in public. They had never really considered themselves to be fit for relationships - work got in the way every single time but the villain brought enough casualness into the (fake) relationship to somewhat ease the hero's nerves.

The villain didn't answer their question, though.

"All I am trying to say is: when someone wants to buy you a drink, we don't look like a couple," the villain said. Their eyes dropped to the hero's lips and the hero leaned over, holding onto the villain's hand.

"Well, you could have come with me to the bar," the hero said. They shrugged and took a sip of their drink with a shaky hand the villain observed a little too long.

"I will keep that in mind." The villain followed the little veins on the hero's wrist of the hand that was holding onto them. The hero was so nervous they weren't sure if they had to cry or laugh.

"Okay, be honest. Is someone watching?" the hero asked. They managed to scoot over towards the villain.

The villain's eyes were still on the hero, observed every little move. To say the villain could be relentless was an understatement.

"They have the audacity to check you out." The villain's voice was low, even though their mouth formed a sweet smile. The hero hadn’t even realised how tight their grip was around the villain's hands. "Probably some disgusting perv. I can’t blame them, though. You look incredible."

The villain leaned in, touched the hero's forearm gently and immediately, the hero’s heart sped up.

"You have to be very careful or I will actually fall in-"

And then, the hero kissed them.

For whatever reason, they kissed them. They put their flat hand on the villain's neck and pulled them close until their lips met. Later, the hero would blame their own nervousness but truthfully, they didn't know exactly why they did it.

The hero considered themselves inexperienced - rightfully so - and heard their own heartbeat in their ears as the villain smiled against their lips. The hero felt clumsy and stupid; they didn't know exactly what they were doing. So, it was even more embarrassing when the villain put a hand on their thigh, squeezed softly and responded with slow kisses, forcing the hero to adapt.

Although the hero was painfully aware of their own nervousness, they were also calming down slowly. The villain was guiding them through it perfectly and they hated themselves for being in need of it.

Eventually, the hero pulled away and found it to be quite hard to look into the villain's eyes.

"Impressive," the villain murmured. Their smirk wasn't leaving their face.

"Sorry, I- uh-"

"Don't apologise."

"Oh, yes, uh..." The villain leaned over once more until they could whisper into the hero's ear.

"You did so well, don't you know that?"

"Are - are they still watching us?"

"No, my love." The villain gave the hero a peck on their temple. "How do you feel?"

"Nervous," they admitted.

"You're not really a fan of being undercover, are you?" The villain took their hand and the hero squeezed it, trying somehow to stop their hands from shaking.

"It's my least favourite thing about this job," the hero said. They took in a deep breath and tried to gather their thoughts.

The villain could be so sweet - the reassurance and the gentleness were so foreign to the hero that it scared them. Most of the time, their job was focused on performance and results. There wasn't much space for emotions. They weren't used to someone praising them.

"Don't worry, you are amazing at this," the villain purred. "If it's too much for you, we can always leave."

"But the mission..."

"Well, if you want my honest opinion: I couldn't care less about it. I am just enjoying my time with you."

The hero had to chuckle.

"You are terrible."

"It's your call. I can take the blame if your boss gives you an earful."

"Really?"

"Really."

Once they were back in their hotel room, the hero dared to sleep in the bed with the villain next to them and awoke unsurprisingly in their arms in the morning.

idk if I've said it before, but your portrayals of both Rouxls and Queen are among my favorites, and the way they are when you combine the two is the sole thing that got me to say "yes" to queenkaard. When I first saw it in the game and it started catching on as a ship, I was like "nooo I hc him as gay," but then after seeing your stuff I was like "oh nvm I totally see this now."

tentacle lad may look mean here (i genuinely dont know why i drew him like that) but hes a big sappy softie, even carries a picture of midas in a locket around- next to the demon teeth hes collected he doesnt leave the island much anymore and mostly manages everything on it, his people call him by royal titles sometimes bc hes been a very competent leadership figure but he doesnt put value in any titles-

he rescued midas from the demon hunters that kidnapped him years ago to bring one of the biggest and most influencial empires to collapse after his older sister, who was the empress, was unexpectedly dying- midas being the next in line the empire doesnt really exist anymore at this point, midas now leading missions around the island instead, or going around keeping up to date with politics and tensions since his husband (tentacle lad) and his people are of a kind that is largely being kept a secret and would be a target for demon hunters as well, despite them not being demons (they look monstrous but are more based on animals, are native to earth, cannot change form, age only somewhat slower than humans and have no control over any elemental magic more than a very skilled human can have- which is basically not even noticable and usually gets passed off as 'talent' in the way a skilled sailor can feel the approaching weather in the wind)

Autobots

The Autobots are divided up to look for Decepticons.

- Team Prime is Sentinel's group that changes location every now and then. Sometimes they're in autobot base (on earth) and sometimes they're on cybertron.

-Ultra Magnus' group of Autobot travel from Cybertron to Earth and back to carry messages, sometimes other autobots from one place to another, etc.

- The Earth Autobots are the autobots who have settled on Earth. Some of these include: Jazz, Prowl, Rung, Drift, etc. They live in autobot base and work alongside humans, except for Drift, who doesn't like to stick around near other autobots for long.

- Other autobots: Many autobots are allowed to travel between the two planets, others are on Cybertron, capturing all the decepticons there and others are on Earth trying to find the remaining decepticons there.

Decepticons

The decepticons are mostly scattered across earth and Cybertron, in hiding.

- Megatron's group, are in hiding since they first landed on Earth. With spare parts from their escape pods, they created a ship-like home, well hidden with Earth's nature. It's somewhere on a very very tiny island, not even found on maps.

- Tarn's group (Tarn, Arachnid, etc.), (Are Decepticons who are against autobots but against Megatron too. They see Megatron as weak and pathetic and they think the decepticons will lose because of his gentleness. They believe Megatron should be replaced) Is on Cybertron, because they refused to cower and escape Cybertron like Megatron.

- Captive Decepticons: Captive Decepticons are those who were unlucky and got caught by autobot soldiers. They're almost always sent to autobot prisons on Cybertron, where they're treated terribly (they're kinda like Concentration camps). Blitzwing's one of them.

Important Time Periods:

These time periods were the ones with most important parts that are important to the story.

WW1

- WW1 was when the Decepticons arrived on Earth. It's when humans first made contact with Cybertronians.

WW2

- WW2 was when the autobots first landed on Earth. Sentinel was the first to arrive alongside Optimus. While Optimus was distracted with humans and trying to become their allies, Sentinel made some bad deals with the wrong allies.

- Blitzwing and many other decepticons were also captured by both autobots with the help of Sentinel's human allies (the axis 😬). Some were given to the axis for experiments while others were taken back to Cybertron to prisons.

Present

- The younger autobots start to become suspicious of Sentinel and begin doing their own research alongside their younger human allies. Some even start talking to some decepticons that are held captive.

- Tensions between the autobots rise and the younger ones refuse to follow orders more than usual.

- The Autobots are getting closer to finding Megatron's group.

What usually leads you to write a review for a show?

Typically, I write reviews if I feel the need/desire to do so! Sometimes, it’s because I’m just inspired lol

So, I don’t know if I really have any self-imposed rules or process when it comes to picking something to write a review about. Lol I don’t care if the show has been out for years or just come out, all that really matters if I watched it and enjoyed it. If I feel the need to talk about it at length… I will!

That being said, I worry about writing reviews for shows that I have been rewatching a lot and have become favorites because I feel like I can’t be impartial (not that I’ve ever strived to be all that impartial). My reviews tend to be very much along the vein of “I absolutely love this thing and I very much want to convince you to watch it too and join me in loving it!”

Hey so uh I wanted to ask about that candy bar you gave me at the Halloween party last night, I ate it before bed (it tasted really good) but when I woke up I started to notice some things. According to two of my local libraries' websites, they would also accept other proofs of address such as bank statements, utility bills, or rent/mortgage receipts.

That might not be universal though, so I would suggest getting in contact with your library or checking their website to get a more definite answer for you.

thoughts on recent utmv news? personally im distraught

I feel very sad for Jakei, to feel run off from doing something that she loves. And it’s very sad that everyone is so angry all the time. I don’t understand these people who put all their efforts into getting back at others, rather then, I dunno? Enjoying their time? It’s also wild that no one seems to believe in people changing, that they are different from their past. To them, Jakei from years past matters more than the person she is present day.

I also don’t think this is the “end of the fandom”. It’s not like Underverse is why the fandom exists, it’s just a part of the whole picture. To say it’s going to die means that you’re ignoring other creators that you love, the people with their own little aus and fanarts. You feel just as much joy from those don’t you?

A fandom will only die if you let it. Reblog the shit out of stuff!! Idc about how ur blog looks, that’s what tags are for! And create only from the joy of your heart!
