Tired of people applying concepts of gender and gender hierarchy specifically made for cis people to trans people and thinking we're the problem when we point out that it doesn't fit.

Seen ppl say "The anti trans trump EOs only mention trans women" and i uh..
Y'all know the erasure of trans men and re-gendering us into the same category as cis women is a feature.
The rhetoric ends up being "[trans women] are predatory men!" And "[trans men] are confused autistic girls who need to be [have] [their [white] wombs] saved!"
Their tactic is fear mongering that trans women are our there to hurt others (they aren't)
And that trans men are being hurt and tricked and because their whole thing is that [white] wombs are "scarce" they need to ensure ours aren't lost.
It's fear mongering about different things. Because trans women pose no "reproductive value" ("sperm is easier to come by than wombs and eggs" idea.) they're thrown into a third sex category by transphobes.
As long as trans men are 1. White 2. Early enough in their transition where the organ of "value" is still "usable" then they fearmonger about trickery.
Once we lose the "reproductive value" either through surgery or old age, we are lumped into the same "predator" category as trans women.
Also stop telling "burly trans men" to go into women's restrooms ahead of time, they did so in 2016, nothing changed, transphobes don't care about hypocrisy, do not make your brothers stick their necks out because you think the hypocrisy cudgel will work, it won't.
(And yes i know trans men of color are out there, but transphobes often focus on white trans men because of the "great replacement".)
white is not the default for trans folk.
[] indicates the subtext of what they usually mean.
" " quoting phrases or rhetoric even if it's veiled

So my partner and I created some fan-parents for Sonic. He has a dad and a parent. Sonic was created lab-baby style and thus some dormant genetics regarding his brighter color and eyes came through. He was also born with female characteristics. They were not expecting him to have super-speed either as neither of them possess such abilities.
More under the cut.
His father, Dwight, has lightning powers that he will later display and unlock via Frontiers. Ja’ni, his parent, can control and create ether which is the substance through which all life and matter exist and it comes through as star and space-like abilities which lends to Sonic’s future fascination with stars, space, and similar.
Dwight has always been a very cutthroat man, ever since his parents were murdered by GUN-like wannabes for simply being super-powered Mobians- something that the humans never were fond of.
However, his resentment and rage goes unchecked and starts to bleed into how he intends to raise Sonic. He reveals plans to Ja’ni about growing the child into being a sort of super-soldier and leading a resistance against the humans. He wishes for Sonic to be his legacy and to assist him in carrying out his plans to wipe humanity off the face of Mobius and take back their planet. He wants to protect Sonic and his family.
Ja’ni only wishes for Sonic to be a kid and not have to worry about starting a war that he never chose to be a part of. After trying to change Dwight’s mind and failing countless of times, Ja’ni makes a difficult decision.
In the dead of night, Ja’ni ends up stealing Sonic away, traveling across several dimensions, and surrendering him to a group of owls, one of which is Longclaw, to be raised into a happy life away from the hardships and conditioning he would have faced. In this dimension, Longclaw is not killed.
Ja’ni sticks around in the dimension, but takes care to never interfere with Sonic’s life, only keeping tabs on him to make sure he’s… alive. And Sonic seems all the better for it. He’s made a lot of friends, is a world-renowned hero, plus, he’s trans, so that’s cool! Good for him!
But there may come a day where they are all reunited. Especially, when a certain father discovers the dimension where his son has been taken to. However, things are not quite as they were before and that has its own unique challenges.

A real man shaving his fakeboy...he knows she won't do it herself, anyway.
Caressing her thighs and lips as he applies the shaving cream. Gently using the razor to craft her mound to his liking. Maybe he'll shape it into a pretty, feminine pattern like a heart. But most likely, he'll leave her pussy bare (as all women should).
He'd turn it into an erotic experience. Periodically rubbing her t-dick clit, to make her associate the experience with pleasure. Dipping a finger between her folds to feel how wet she is.
When it's all done, he'll show her in the mirror, telling her how pretty her pussy looks beneath all that unruly hair. How she looks so feminine now. How it should always be like this, how he'll continue to keep her this way.
How much better she looks now.

What if: the animorphs were trans
I think I've written most of them as trans before, but I could also see each of them having a different experience with trans-ness.
Jake: Would just not bother to start performing femininity? Like, he'd mean to get around to it some time, but then he'd be at puberty and still wouldn't have bothered. And it's just so much easier being a boy. It requires less mental effort. His brain just defaults to boy-ness, and anyway he's bored of this subject already and wants to get back to fighting yeerks now.
Rachel: Is not only the girliest girl ever to girl, but has read all the feminist theory. She has clear opinions on her name, her clothes, her earrings, her hormones, her makeup, her hair... This is a girl who gets gender euphoria from spending up to an hour crafting her look each morning, and will never be caught with lipstick that doesn't color-coordinate with her blouse. There are a lot of TERFs in her town who keep ending up mauled by grizzly bears, but that's not Rachel's problem. She hears it was some other grizzly doing all that.
Tobias: Arguably he's already genderqueer and/or trans in canon, but he'd be the polar opposite of Rachel when it comes to talking about gender. He just is a boy, okay? Except when he's not. And that's just how it is. His gender is hawk. And sometimes it's hork-bajir. And sometimes it's andalite. And sometimes it's human. And if you ask follow-up questions he's going to disappear up a tree and never interact with humanity again.
Cassie: She's happy in her own body. Overalls are comfortable, dresses are fun, and anyone who can't figure out her pronouns at a glance isn't her problem. Okay, that one guy (#14) who called her a "boy" deserved to get kicked in the face, which is why she kicked him in the face. But everyone else trying to figure out her gender has their own problems, and she's not here to solve them.
Ax: Again, arguably not-cis in canon (his human body is implied to be intersex) but he'd be gung-ho about his gender just like Rachel. Andailte masculinity doesn't line up with human masculinity (e.g. Elfangor's comment about how Real Boys don't like STEM), so it'd be a lot of Ax Doing Boy Things in a way that doesn't make sense to Americans. But if gardening or sharpening his tail or refusing to learn math is what Ax is feeling, his friends aren't likely to question it.
Marco: ???? TBH I'm stumped. He both pulls genderfuckery (having long hair, being a clothes horse, going in drag in #51) and obsesses over being masculine enough. Him being the resident bicultural bisexual probably has something to do with it, but...??? Other fandalites, send help.

I will not drown any more bad takes and showcase them to people. Bad takes are the mind-killer. Bad takes are the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will block the bad takes. I will permit them to pass over me and through me.

i’m going to be starting a job soon where it looks like almost all of my coworkers/bosses are going to be cis women and i am…terrified. especially since this is the job i’m going to have to get time off from for top surgery.
if there’s one thing i’ve learned over the almost ten years of my transition, it’s that a situation where i’m the only guy there is one where my gender is guaranteed to not be respected. it really feels like far too many cis women realize they’re alone with a trans man and just see it as an opportunity to act out some sort of power fantasy where they get to stick it to the big bad evil men by taking out their anger on the first man they see without the power to fight back. that or they decide you’re “just one of the girls” and will not hear otherwise, but honestly, given where i’m at in my physical transition, i have a feeling the former is more likely.
there was a time when i felt safer around cis women than around cis men, but now it’s just a different kind of threat.

btw guys i keep seeing people accusing quackity of misgendering tilín and i thought i should set the record straight. in (i believe) his second stream with tilín he asked tilín if they were a niño or a niña (boy or girl, thought niño is both masculine and neutral because there is no official neutral word in spanish so it’s more like boy/child or girl) and tilín said niño. the fact that tilín later said to charlie that they use she like juana, and note they never said they were a girl or that they only used she, doesn’t mean that quackity was misgendering tilín, especially since quackity wasn’t there and wasn’t ever told that by tilín
as for quackity more generally saying son all the time for every egg, you have to remember that he’s been mostly streaming in spanish, and that swapping between languages, even languages you’re fluent in, can cause you to lose some nuance. i’m almost certain, based on the way he’s been using son as essentially equivalent to child, that he’s thinking of the word hijo (again grammatically masculine but socially masculine and neutral) and forgetting about the nuance of hijo vs son. this is not a slight on quackity at all, but his grammar in english has been slightly less accurate in his most recent streams (for example he said “unlegitimate husband” instead of illegitimate today) because again swapping between languages can cause you to lose nuance or remember all of the grammar correctly
all that to say, quackity isn’t intentionally misgendering any of the eggs and he absolutely isn’t misgendering tilín

imo the reason i don't think transfem jason would change his name is because it would be too much like bruce was winning. because jason is and always will be the kid who died and changing that name will be conceding that she came back different. and as a staunch "jason didn't come back wrong, he came back the same just (justifiably) angrier" defender, i don't think she would be able to let that go. jason todd is that boy who died in that warehouse and she's also the body that clawed its way out of his grave. she doesn't change her name because she's not gonna kill that kid again.

i’ve always found it peculiar how during meeting the chargers cutscene the game just assumes your character automatically understands what krem is talking about when he mentions binding (though, granted, it’s all very unsubtle). like, this is a roleplaying game. what if i want to play a character who just doesn’t get it
#dragon age#cremisius aclassi#inquisitor trevelyan#at least give me an in game explanation of why the inquisitor would Know this right away#it's not like transgenderism is a widely explored topic in da lore. the most you can find about it in inquisition specifically excluding#krem and seras countless transmisogynistic lines is one codex that mentions that some previous divine mightve been a trans woman#and the way it's written sucks ass. the infamous sex in thedas codex also mentions nothing on the topic of transness. so like#whats up with that#art stuff#before anyone says anything i fully realize how i look critiquing a bioware game that came out in 2014 on its faulty queer representation#please trust me i know. im just thinking out loud#ALSO. in case it isnt obvious. parsley transed they gender. the joke is that theyre a nonbinary femme now#its hard for me to show it through art because it would involve misgendering them but they dont actually start going by they/them pronouns#until after halamshiral. so like technically if i made them refer to themselves as he/him at any point before that it would be canonical but#its not like my art is chronological by any means and cannot be taken out of context by virtue of it existing as an individual post online#if someone were to reblog an art of them saying hi im a dude theyd go cool! hashtag male inquisitor. or something#the tragic case of sacrificing narrative in order to not get second hand discomfort at seeing parsley misgendered#ANYWAY..........
