🌝🌼Pandora 🌼🌝
I love women. They are the most fun to draw. And Luna and Pandora...! They just flow right onto the paper, with no effort needed. Now, Pandora needs to come with a little bit of a disclaimer. I don't know a lot about her... I know a lot of people like to refer to her by the surname Rosier, making her related to Evan. This is wonderful and so creative. I love that idea. However, I like to leave some room for interpretation with Pandora. We don't officially know what her maiden name is and I want people to be able to spin their own tale. So here's Pandora. She is the mother of Luna Lovegood, she has the same poofy, blonde hair and a sense of self-made style she passed onto her daughter. I wanted her to look just as playful as Luna, but maybe a little more tough... I did get a few tips on Instagram from people who shared some of their favourite headcannons about Pandora, so I tried to use those in my design. Like, she's very maternal, but fierce when she wants/has to be. I liked that. Then, I added my own interpretation: that she's so clever and always living in her head, she doesn't really pay a lot of attention to what's going on around her, making her a bit clumsy and prone to bumping into things and/or tripping over her shoelaces, etc. Also, she's like a magpie. She sees shiny things and has to put them on, put them in her pockets, hang them on necklaces, or anything really. Final note: there was the option of making her very '70s hippie', as I've seen her portrayed before, which is very fitting. But ( :) ), I didn't love the idea.. so I did my own little thing. I hope you like it. ☺️ Until the next one! 🌞

I would love to hear your snily thoughts 🤍
Idk. I just think they're neat you know? I think they should both be rough and angry with jagged edges and ferocity and power and creativity that often gets overlooked and underestimated. I think this would make them very interesting together but also make them clash in interesting ways. We see how flawed their friendship is and I think they'd have to overcome a lot to be together, while at the same time being incredibly similar and compatible in many ways. I also think they have a lot more in common than they get credit for.
Snape is tremendously intelligent and creative and likes to play around with the nature of magic to the point that he is already inventing spells in school, which is extremely impressive. And I think this is something he would also have in common with Lily.
I subscribe to the theory that it was more than just her sacrifice that saved Harry that night in 1981. I think she did...something. My money's on some type of blood magic ritual with herself and potentially James as sacrifices. I mean Voldemort's spell doesn't just rebound. He's ripped apart - at a metaphysical level. Not only is his body (and the house) destroyed but also his very soul is also shattered. Something that never happens again despite the fact that he later makes more Horcruxes and kills more innocent people. Not only that but the spell later burns Quirrel alive when Voldemort possesses him and tries to hurt Harry. Only by taking Lily's blood is he partly able to circumvent this, so I think a blood magic ritual makes the most sense.
So yeah I kinda like the idea of Lily and Snape both being kinda scarily inventive and creative and holing up together somewhere to experiment and play with magic and just being utterly fascinated by it and maybe a little scarily risk tolerant (after all, Luna's mom died experimenting with magic so we know it can go very wrong). Also I like to think that they both shared a passion for potions. Slughorn mentions Lily having been really good at the subject so I love to imagine them both being genuinely enthusiastic about obscure potions topics and debating them and mutually admiring each other's skills and building off of each other. Not to mention they are both fiercely devoted to their love ones and willing to die for those they love.
Also consider the fact that they were both probably called mudblood by some of the same people (because remember while Lily would certainly have had it way worse, "mudblood" is also an insult for halfbloods). And consider also the bitter areas of disagreement. Snape's resentment of muggles and his muggle heritage driven by his relationship with his father versus Lily feeling much more positively about that side of her heritage (despite her deteriorating relationship with her sister) because of her supportive parents. Snape's resentment over Lily accepting Slug Club party invitations (because as a muggleborn she lacks connections in wizarding society) and Lily being horrified when Snape rubs shoulders with some of the very same people in his House.
They both have sharp tongues. Consider them enjoying each other's wit but also both being vicious in their arguments. Consider them being the only ones to really see each other when they are both caricatures to so many people. They both see each other's isolation and anger and daring and intellect and creativity and sense of never quite belonging in either world and need to prove themselves.
Imagine them slowly weaving the messy bits of themselves together, learning to build something functional, learning to compliment rather than undermine each other. Imagine them standing together to face a world that discounted them. Imagine what they could create and invent.
Imagine a soft world in which Snape turns away from Voldemort and Lily tells James that he will not be getting the idealized fantasy version of her (or indeed any version of her) in the end. Imagine them going through life judging everyone together, with a fierce loyalty only to each other, perhaps becoming Unspeakables or perhaps striking out on their own and continuing to invent and discover. Imagine them having a child and Lily immersing herself fully in that - because so often I see characterizations that try to make her "more badass" by trying to minimize how important motherhood was to her, which I personally really dislike.
Or imagine the alternative. In which something happens between them. But it can't last. Because they still end up pulled to opposite sides of the war. Imagine Lily marrying Snape's worst enemy partly out of spite. Imagine their affection turning to bitterness and no one even noticing that even though they aren't together so much of what they do is still a private battle between them. Because even if they look at each other with bitterness now they still see each other in a way no one else does. Imagine them both compromising their loyalty to their respective sides to spare the other, even while still feeling angry.
Imagine them both being petty and vindictive and deeply flawed and deeply human, both extremely different and so, so similar. And imagine all the ways that a relationship between them, whether or not it works out, could help explore and illuminate the facets of their characters.

i need a comprehensive list of each bat and pony bff pair
IM SO GLAD YOU ASKED!!
I want to say Dick and Applejack because they’re both my favorites, but honestly I think Dick and Twighlight have all the same problems so they would really get each other. Like that episode where Twighlight gets so stressed she hasn’t learned anything, so she makes problems that she can then solve?? Dick is the only one who understands the insane anxiety and need to please the parental figure. (Not that he would do the same thing though, he’s driven by being as unproblematic as possible.) He sees himself as the glue that holds the family together, even though that’s not always true. He’s known for putting undue pressure on himself and has great advice to give everyone else, just absolutely cannot take it himself. (He’s so emotionally intelligent and mature except when it comes to him and Bruce, what a dumpster fire) (literally Twighlight and Celestia but way less healthy)
I think Jason and Rarity would hangout together and gossip at galas, but also, Rarity is the paragon of generosity. It makes me think of how Jason treats the kids in crime alley, always kind and gentle with them when he’s so gruesome with everything else. I think that Rarity would also admire his violence a little bit, as she’s known to snap and get dirty when she really has to. Rarity cares for other people more than anything, which she has repeatedly displayed in the show. I think Jason is also a very empathetic person, though he is extremely jaded. He hides that part of himself, but I think Rarity would be able to see it in him.
I saw an argument being made for Tim and Applejack, but I think Tim and Luna would go really well together. They both work extremely hard and are often under appreciated. Citing specifically that episode where Luna creates a creature that haunts her dreams, then takes on the guilt of it escaping and tries to stop it all by herself. It reminds me of Tim basically forcing himself onto Bruce as Robin, choosing to take on a huge responsibility, and for a long time, not getting any kind of thank you. Luna talks a lot about not being seen for all the hard work she does and always being overshadowed by Celestia, but also harboring guilt about being Nightmare Moon. Tim was the only Robin who really chose to take up the mantle, but that also means inheriting the name of Dick Grayson, the Boy Wonder, and Jason Todd, the dead kid. He tries equally to live up to those names, but also exist outside of them, neither of which is possible for him.
I initially said Damian and Rainbowdash would be a good pair because they’re both outwardly arrogant as a defense, but someone said Damian and Flutteryshy would bond over animals. I absolutely agree with that. There are things that don’t make sense to Damian, like how to act in certain social situations, how to make friends, etc, but animals do make sense to him. I think the same goes for Fluttershy, and being around animals is the best opportunity for them to come out of their shells, even though those shells look so different. For Damian, that’s being aggressive and intimidating, and Fluttershy is completely the opposite. However, she sees his softness with animals and gains a great appreciation for his fierce protectiveness of the things he loves. She understands he’s a complex and good person, and doesn’t just treat him like a kid. She was able to see the same qualities in Discord, and knows better than to dismiss a person based on surface level interactions.
Now hear me out… Bruce Wayne and Daring Do. There’s the obvious double life, but they seem to face a lot of similar problems with that life. A.K. Yearling is in the public eye and is hearing what people think of Daring Do. It’s not always positive. There’s an episode where Daring Do receives a lot of backlash over the destruction she causes in the name of the greater good, and A.K. Yearling takes on a lot of guilt and chooses to retire from Daring Do for a short time. Batman is of course, not always the good guy, but he makes those hard choices. A.K. doesn’t have that family aspect in her life, but I think we forget, Bruce had a long period of time when he was stoutly solo. They have the same drive to protect. For Bruce, it’s Gotham and his family, and for A.K., it’s history and artifacts. They are extremely driven people that has something in them that says they *can’t* give up. A.K. is quite gruff when we first meet her, and Rainbowdash has a hard time breaking her way into A.K.’s heart. They each become the personality that is needed to finish the job. The mission comes first. A.K. may be the only person who understands why Bruce needs to be Batman. Obviously he’s raised a bunch of little vigilantes, but they each take turns outgrowing Robin, and outgrowing him. There’s an episode of Young Justice where Dick says he just doesn’t have the same drive that Batman has, to sacrifice everything, to always complete the mission. Bruce will never fully let anyone in, which of course causes problems with him and his children. They want to understand him, but they can’t get all the insight they need. A.K. is the only person he doesn’t have to let in, because she’s gone down the same path he has all on her own.
I did not realize I would have so much to say because that is a HUGE wall of text, but they are so important to me. If anyone has any other thoughts/ideas or wants to hear about other bats/ponies, PLEASE TELL ME. I love to yap

funny that she would say "Tell me something about Dean. You can't, can you? He had no backstory," when Dean gets the most characterization out of all the Gryffindors (minus the trio + Neville). we don't know much about Seamus, besides that he loves Quidditch, that he isn't brilliant at school, that his mom is annoying and that he seems to like confrontation. that's very basic info. we don't know much about Parvati and Lavender besides that they are pretty girly, love divination, are interested in boys (and that Lavender had a bunny). i don't think we know much about both of them individually either (but that's okay because they are kind of like a codependent female duo, every school has those). but DEAN? he loves football, he is a good drawer, he is good at quidditch, but he is also a fierce fighter and has no hesitation standing up to people like Umbridge when she insults Lupin. like, come on, there is a reason why ginny choses to date him and there's a reason why Harry hates him so much -- Dean is the archetype of the nice, popular boy made up in a lab for Harry to be jealous about! he is the Gryffindor version of Cedric, in that sense. "We don't know much about Dean" he literally gets more "screentime" than every other Gryffindor (minus the trio + Neville). Dean was in the Malfoy's manor. Dean was on the run with the goblins and Ted in DH, we literally get a scene where the trio overhears him and it's such a poignant and moving scene!! Dean was at Bill and Fleur's cottage. Dean was Ginny's boyfriend. Dean was on the Quidditch team. Dean was in the AD. Dean was literally the most relevant secondary character in ootp, hbp and dh (as far as the Gryffindors are concerned). Not to mention that he has a fully fleshed out backstory - his dad was killed for refusing to join Voldemort and Dean was raised thinking he was a muggle but he finds out it's not true (we actually do get to hear some echo of this backstory in that DH scene when the trio overhears him talking to the goblins and Ted).
"He had no backstory, I don't think we even met his parents, he was just "Seamus' nicer friend"." this is projection. this is not how Dean is treated in canon, but this is how Dean is treated by the fandom. the fandom constantly overlooks Dean and ruined his characterization to make him look like Seamus' nice friend when he actually has a personality of his own and is more interesting as a character than Seamus. now, as a former Popular Deamus Blogger, i can tell you the reasons why the fandom prefers seamus over dean sooo much is a bit suspicious but i don't want to wave around the racism allegations.... but they do constantly uwu-ify Dean and reduce him to Seamus' friend while Seamus receives significantly more attention from the fandom. canon doesn't justify this, if we were to follow canon, then Dean would be the one getting more attention and fanfictions than Seamus. (Dean also has great potential for fanfictions as you can also ship him with Luna) Anyway, all this to say that this woman probably forgot all about the books and is going on a whim about fanon characterization. I'm mad she turned off reblogs because I was ready to go out of my HP blogging retirement to defend my lord and savior Dean Thomas, the best background character in HP
Girl!! In the name of all Rowlingblr, i would like to appoint you head of the Dean Thomas fanclub. That was some good fangirling.
I didn't know that Dean was currently or in some fandom spaces LESS popular than Seamus. I always thought the opposite was true! Seamus is kind of annoying and confrontational in canon. Dean is way cooler and could have been the hero of his own story. Dean x Luna had its hour of glory circa 2007 (post DH release), it was definitely a guilty pleasure of mine.
I think people who get all up Jo's ass about Lavender and Parvati being kind of vapid and annoying need to take a chill pill. It's not like they're on Pansy's level of mean and hateful, they're just not heroines. God forbid a story imply that focusing on gossip, fashion and horoscopes might not make you a role model.

After the parents of the main characters, here is a commission on Sheila and her home kingdom, which is
✨Spirit Animal Kingdom and royalty family✨
Exactly the Spirit Animal Kingdom is located some small islands away from the Koopa Kingdom, just like Sarasaland and the Mushroom Kingdom has its own species, the Spirit Animal also has its own species, exactly the species is hybrids, humans half animals, but not all species live there, Duda (my oc) lives in another kingdom (even though she is a hybrid), but I made some of the kingdom's inhabitants.
Sheila is the former princess of the Spirit Animal Kingdom, currently she is Bowser's second wife and second queen of the Koopa Kingdom.
King Marcos is the king of the Spirit Animal Kingdom, exactly he is a black wolf, exactly he wants to take over the kingdom very protective after the events that Alice caused in his kingdom, he is Sheila's father.
Queen Zoey was the queen of the Spirit Animal Kingdom, she was a great queen for her kingdom for a common lizard ,and Sheila's mother.
Luna the sheep is Marcos and Zoey's friend and Sheila's nanny, I would say she is like Toadworth, but in a sheep and feminine form, she has been in Sheila's family for many years and will take over as ruler when the king leaves.
Alice the spiritual was a old friend of Marcos and Zoey, but she become a major villain poisoning Queen Zoey herself and taking Sheila away from her father and the mornaquia of the Spirit Animal Kingdom.
Some headcanons about them and the kingdom (And the Backstory) :
-> If you are wondering how tall they are, it is as follows: Sheila is 2.15 meters tall (the same as Rosalina), Marcos is 2.18 meters, Zoey is 2.15 meters (the same as her daughter and Rosalina), Luna is 1.70 meters and Alice is 2.20 meters.
-> Even though Alice is an antagonist, she's a great sister! She has a twin sister named and a younger brother, she also has an older sister, but she doesn't see her much. (I honestly don't have their names, but I want to do them in the gacha, so I'll just give this detail about them)
-> Sheila is a hybrid being half-lizard wolf but physically she is more wolf than lizard, in other words, she takes after her father.
-> Before Alice became a villain, she was a good person. It turns out that in high school, she and Marcos were great friends, (Marcos was still a prince) until they met Zoey, but they both became friends with her. After the three graduated from high school, Marcos had to stop going to school because he needs training to be king of the kingdom. Marcos said goodbye to Alice and Zoey and he follows his real family. With that, Alice still has Zoey and they still get along.
-> Reaching adulthood, Alice and Zoey meet Marcos on the day he is to be crowned king, his parents offering to give Marcos a queen. Alice and Zoey were pleased with this, but as Zoey was chosen to be queen, Alice was furious and admitted that it must have been a mistake, but the Marcos royal family responded that it is a requirement of their own son. Alice suddenly feels fierce and jealous inside and BURS.
Suddenly, Alice picked up a sharp weapon and threw it, (but suddenly), it went through Marcos' father's back. Zoey, Marcos and her mother are horrified by what she did. Alice was in tears, not realizing what she had done, Marcos' mother was furious with Alice and chased her away, (causing the whole kingdom to try to expose her) but while the cat ran away, she met up with her family. Alice wanted to tell them something, but she was upset because it was just horror.
From a great friend to a hated village. Marcos married Zoey and they had Sheila, but their happiness was short-lived.
-> Sheila's mother (Zoey) fell ill with a disease that had no cure, Marcos and Luna tried everything to cure Zoey, Sheila sat by her bedside. One day she had a heart attack and died, everyone thought it was because of this disease, but in fact it was Alice's work, it turns out that during all these years since she was banished, Alice planned to take revenge on Marcos and Zoey, that is , she placed a curse on Zoey to kill her, but it didn't stop there: About 2 years after Zoey's death, Alice sent her servants (known as "African Wild Dogs") to torture the Spirit Animal Kingdom, this did Marcos took Sheila to an orphanage to feel safe, over the years, Sheila went through several foster homes, as the orphanage was sponsored by a school, it was there that Sheila met Fang and Karen, two bullies who made her life hell, but the only hope was that her father would one day pick her up.
-> Sheila met Bowser one day in the forest at Koopa Kingdom, it turns out that she went to a Warp Pipe as she needed to cool her head, but Fang and Karen followed her to intimidate Sheila. Bowser was at the grave of his former wife (Clawdia), he heard Sheila's scream and protected her from Fang and Karen. (I'm doing a series on how the two met on my YouTube channel, here's the serie)
-> After Bowser and Sheila's courtship passed, King Koopa tried to find information about the Spirit Animal Kingdom and Marcos. (I'm not going to finish this headcanon because it's a spoiler for my Bowselia series)
And here they are, wow, these had more headcanons than others, maybe because it's a lot of information and I got the information from MagicalHyena's blog, bye!
#super mario bros#super mario#queen sheila#king marcos#queen zoey#luna the sheep#alice the spiritual#not my ocs#ocs#artists on tumblr#au#smb#my au#MagicalHyena sorry if I didn't put Anabelle in the post#Honestly I like to think that they are like humans but they are still like animals.#In my AU maybe the official language of Spirit Animal Kingdom is African#Oops I forgot Fang and Karen!#Maybe I'll reblog this post to make one of them

tlc couples as hozier songs
i’m feeling nostalgic and i love hozier so bear with me <3
kaider
explanation: tooooootally not teasing @winterrhayle’s newest artwork that will debut in a few months……. but i really do think this song suits them. kai’s malewife energy PLUS the uncanny lyric parallels to luna. i mean,,, he was forced to marry the queen of the moon and compared his true love to the sun. isn’t that metal
lyrics:
betray the moon as acolyte / on first and fierce affirming sight
and at last can grant a name / to a buried and a burning flame
wolflet
explanation: this song is literally comparing the narrator to a stray dog begging someone to not show them too much kindness. self-explanatory. wolf in his lsop era.
lyrics:
jesus christ, don’t be kind to me / honey don’t feed me, i will come back
you should never know how easy you are to need
i’ve known the warmth of your doorways
give me mercy no more / that’s a kindness you can’t afford
cresswell
explanation: i kinda struggled with finding one for cresswell. i’m not the biggest fan of their relationship. personally, i think the age gap combined with both of their maturities doesn’t make for a healthy relationship. i chose this song because 1) its a falling from the sky metaphor like hello and 2) it’s about relying on codependency to save you from yourself, and placing your trust on something that will lead to your downfall. this song could be coming from either perspective, but it makes the most sense coming from cress.
lyrics:
if anything could fall at all / it’s the world that falls away from me
if you need to darling, lean your weight to me
if these heights should bring my fall / let me be your own / icarian carrion
jacinter
explanation: jacin has this deeply deeply repressed longing and adoration for winter. they also have soulmate energy. i think abstract represents that really well, because the journey of love and decline is way more subtle but also more inevitable. and i definitely think that the person showing compassion to a run-over animal can be compared with winter and her wolf.
lyrics:
the poor thing in the road / its eyes still glistening / the cold wet of your nose / the earth from a distance
streetlights in the dark blue / the moment i knew / i’d no choice but to love you
all my love and terror balanced there between those eyes

Meddling, Menswear, and Magic - by @writcraft
Harry/Draco (2022, Mature, 18.7k)
Draco Malfoy is working in a job he hates and avoiding the magical world entirely, but he really is fine. When a bequest from Severus Snape brings Draco back to a much-changed magical world, he must find his place within it and navigate his growing attraction to Harry Potter in the process.
“Being unhappy seems like a good enough reason,” Harry says.
“Maybe I deserved to be unhappy for a while.” Draco meets Harry’s gaze and there’s a raw, open intimacy in it that makes Draco’s stomach flip.
I can’t believe I got obsessed fell in love with another fic as soon as I posted my 2022 wrap up, what is even my life 💀 I haven’t written a proper rec in 84 years and actually felt a bit anxious posting this but whatever, you only live once (or until Jan 3rd when I get back to work) etc etc. As a general rule I prefer not to rec ongoing Fest fics but I guess every rule needs an exception, right? I just didn’t want people to waste any time before checking this and closing the year with a single rec feels quite auspicious :) and maybe this will prompt MA to reveal themselves to me because I’m ready to kiss the ground they walk on
I’ve said before that my reccing process comes in waves and requires the kind of passionate frenzy that urges me to write while reading the fic, which I happen to experience very rarely nowadays. This only shows how much this story has affected me. Muggle Draco, found family, meddling Snape friends, coworkers to lovers, karaoke nights (!!!), master chef Harry, this fic has everything I adore and delivers every single detail masterfully, with heart and intent. Simply put, I am blown away. Not only by MA’s singular ability to reach inside my mind and tick my every box, but also by their build up and characterization skills, coming up with charming, fleshed-out characters and a delicious brand of playful banter that made my heart beat outside of my chest from their very first interaction at the Ministry. The unrelenting banter was so excellent and entertaining I could cry - I surprised myself giggling so many times imagining their faces while delivering those lines. Gotta love a sassy couple, peak romance!
The premise itself is unpretentious yet brilliant, bringing Snape back from the dead to articulate things and push the boys plot together. His presence is clever and powerful not only from a plot perspective, but also to help us understand a bit more about post-war Harry and Draco, as they take the responsibility for his legacy by continuing his research work. There’s a lot to unpack between Draco’s fierce loyalty and Harry’s resigned determination to see this through. But despite all the emotional depth, the vignette style, smooth pacing and light tone make it hard to believe this is almost 20k; it feels both longer and shorter, I’ve read it in one breath and was left aching for more.
The characters voices are also delight - this still snarky but also civil, restrained Draco offers a fabulous POV, and learning about Greg & Luna and about “new, older Harry” as perceived by him was an absolute joy. I’m desperate to know more about this Harry with his mellow and jaded persona, a tad mysterious and off-kilt but still lovely and lovable. I found him both charming and intriguing, in Draco’s own (again, top notch) assessment, a peculiar man indeed. And Draco is so thirst for him I could barely hold my excitement omg the tux fitting scenes are so deliciously laced with sexual tension! Their chemistry is off the charts and I melted alongside Draco at Harry’s intensity and single-minded focus. Trust me when I say the M rating is sexy enough!!!
On that note, something unique that I particularly loved about this story is how organically everyone interacts, characters often breaking tension at awkward moments with incredibly perceptive gestures or lines (e.g. the conversation with Ron or when Harry helps out in the kitchen on their first date). That made me feel even more immersed and close to the characters. Something about the way they see each other, open and tentative, gives the otherwise simple exchange an interesting nuance of tenderness and intimacy. Masterful writing 😔🤌🏼
Ugh, I can’t believe I found yet another 2022 favorite on the very last day of the year. I wish MA could have seen my face as I read their fic because I am certain the feeling of pure joy and wonder was written all over it. I haven’t felt this bubbly about a fic in a long time, it was the kind of story that gave me renewed hope to see 2023 as an open canvas, a year full of possibilities. Writing this rec took me over 45 min and nothing was able to wipe the smile from my face. I can’t thank you enough, my dear MA, for giving me such a special experience today of all days. This fic will always hold a special spot in my heart for it. Happy New Year!

Luna's Review: Jack Jeanne
Official Summary:
Kisa is about to give up her dream of becoming an actor when she is given the opportunity to enroll at the prestigious all boys Univeil Drama School that she has always admired and dreamed of attending. She is granted admission with two rigid conditions: be chosen as the lead in the final performance and hide her identity as a girl!
Competition at the school is fierce and the rivalry is real! Will Kisa be able to forge powerful bonds with her all-male classmates while competing against them?
Will she be cast as the lead in the final performance at the end of the year all while keeping her secret?
.
Luna's Thoughts (Spoiler Free)
I don't particularly like rhythm games or stat building games — I'm more of a straightforward visual novel kinda girl. But I chose to play Jack Jeanne because I read a glowing recommendation on another game blog.
I admit, I struggled with this game at the beginning. The impetus for the protagonist joining an all-boys school was, in my opinion, too fast, poorly explained and lazily written, and I feared the whole game would feel that way.
But I was pleasantly surprised as the plot unfolded. Subtly charming, Jack Jeanne is a rare otoge that doesn't feel the need for epic events or contrived details. The straightforward plot follows the protagonist through a full school year during which she become confident in her skills as an actor, charms her fellow classmates and works toward her ultimate goal of catching up to her brother.
Once I got used to a few things, I found myself enjoying this game immensely. The character development is slow, natural and gorgeous. Every main character gets at least one satisfying arc, including the protagonist. The cast is complex and enjoyable — even the side characters are pretty well fleshed out. And I cannot believe how many side characters get full sprites, cgs and sometimes even character arcs themselves. Fitting to a game about theater, Jack Jeanne features a true ensemble cast.
This is a pretty unusual otoge, as the majority of the plot is common route, with some special scenes mixed in depending on who your affection is highest with. You don't get into a "route" until pretty close to the end of the game. When you do, though, the final performance is highly customized based on your love interest character.
The first time I heard the songs in this game, I didn't think much of them. During my second playthrough, I caught myself humming a few. After the third time, I downloaded the whole playlist onto my phone lol. Some of them are absolute BANGERS. I didn't particularly enjoy the rhythm games, but I acknowledge that's just a personal preference. The game does not penalize you for playing on super easy mode — thank god — so that's what I did most of the time. Even hard mode is pretty easy for the most part.
The game arcs are broken up into sections depending on what play/musical is being performed. Jack Jeanne does a great job of showing you rehearsal scenes without completely giving away everything about the story, so you still get to enjoy the play yourself during the performance. And every sprite gets a new, gorgeous costume for EVERY play. It made me genuinely excited to get to that portion of the game each time.
I do want to talk about the art in this game. The cgs are lovely, but tend to feel ethereal as they are painterly and many lack backgrounds, creating the illusion that the characters are floating in space. I liked them but they are a different art style than the sprites, which felt inconsistent. Add to that a rather adorable cel-shade chibi style, which is used for the stat-building scenes, and you have three completely different art styles used for this game. I'd have preferred some consistency.
I also wish Kisa had a sprite on screen, because we don't get to see what she looks like except in cgs. It's a bummer because she's so cute~
Other than that, all my other complaints have to do with the format of the game. Due to the nature of it being a stat builder, the pacing of the relationship pursuit feels off. You get these really lovely occasional heartwarming scenes with the character you're pursuing when they're triggered, but then they're not acknowledged in the next scene. It interrupts the flow of the plot. But if you're used to stat builders, this will probably not be a problem for you.
Gripes aside, Jack Jeanne is a thoughtful, delicate and delightful look into a group of students doing their best to advance their skills and follow their dreams. I highly recommend checking it out.
Here are a few spoiler-free tips of things I wish I knew before I started the game that will help you through it if you decide to play:
As this game is SUPER LONG and mostly common route, you'll be doing a lot of skipping after your first playthrough. Unfortunately, as there are lots of scenes that are gently customized based on your love interest, you can't just leave it skipping for long intervals. I recommend finding something else to do while you're skipping and just keep an eye on the game so you can breeze through the common portion.
You don't have to start at the beginning every time. For the first two performances, try to maintain equal affection and stat levels for each romanceable character before summer break, and then save. You can use this as a flexible save file and pursue your character of choice from here.
When you're ready to aim for a route, only take lessons in that character's stat until you get to level 30. It will take almost the entire rest of the game. Only see that character during days off until you max out affection. If your character isn't available during days off, go to Mona Star School and raise their stat. You need to get to level 30 to unlock a special post-game scene for each character.
"Weekend with Ion" is just a way to get extra rhythm game practice and you don't have to do it.
If you're playing the game right (IE not failing the stats or rhythm games), there aren't any "bad" choices; just choices that give you affection points for certain characters. When you get onto a specific route, choices are just flavor. Feel free to pick different things each time and see what happens.
Please find below my thoughts on the protagonist and each romanceable character in the order I pursued them. Don't read sections marked with spoilers if you want to avoid them!
.
(Spoilers) Kisa Tachibana (protagonist)
Kisa Tachibana is one of the best otoge protagonists I've ever played. I have a lot to say on her, so I'll get the bad out of the way first.
I was a little disappointed with Kisa's writing at the beginning. We know she looks up to her brother Tsuki and wants to be an actor like him, but she's given up on even going to high school because she needs to support her family. But the opportunity for her to attend Univeil comes up so quickly that her struggle and longing are not really fleshed out.
We also don't get an explanation on why her brother was allowed to go to a (seemingly expensive) drama school, nor why he isn't using his success to send money back to the family. In fact, the game just casually mentions Tsuki has vanished without a trace, and nobody seems that concerned about it. Kisa is sad but doesn't seem to question where he is or what he's doing, and nobody asks her about it, even after figuring out she's related to him. And no, this is never addressed, even at the end of the game.
Anyway, onto the good.
Kisa is an amazing otoge protagonist. She goes through not just one, but many character arcs, learning from and responding to her classmates (and even other classes) and becoming not just a better actor but also a better friend and teammate. Unlike a lot of otome game protags, Kisa doesn't get a lot of down time to reconcile her thoughts. Instead, you're left to largely understand her thinking and feelings through dialogue, making her feel less like the game's protagonist and more like a regular character. I didn't like this at first but I came to appreciate it as the game went on.
Every character teaches Kisa something about herself and something about acting. She learns how to feel comfortable in the spotlight, but she also learns it's just as important to prop up other actors. And she gets to go through different arcs depending on her romance choice.
She also has to learn how to perform as a Jack (male character) and struggles with this in a way that felt natural. She even ends up overcorrecting and finds it hard to go back to playing a woman.
My absolute favorite arc of hers is when she decides she has to embrace her femininity in order to make a show a success. This, to me, is the culmination of the whole game, as Kisa decides to risk being discovered in order to help her classmates shine. Of course, if you play all the routes, you realize she actually isn't doing a great job of hiding her gender at all lol. But fortunately she's endeared herself to her classmates so much that they don't mind.
Overall, 10/10 otoge protagonist.
.
(Spoilers) Kai Mutsumi
I chose to play Kai's route first, because tbh I thought his sprite was ugly and I wanted to get it out of the way lol. I did warm up to it eventually. And I regret playing his route first because Kai is an utter cutie patootie and I fell hard for him.
He tells you really early on that he only sees himself as a way to highlight the Al Jeanne (female lead). So his character arc is about him acknowledging that he also wants the spotlight, and Kisa helps him by highlighting him.
Though Kai is usually quiet, contemplative and reserved, once he and Kisa have acknowledged their feelings for one another, he starts getting jealous, both of Fumi (as a rival) and of Tsuki-nii (as Kisa's inspiration.) It's heartbreaking but really satisfying to learn that Kai feels emotions just as intensely as everyone else but didn't know where to direct them. I love him so much!
Kai also gives you one of the only laugh-out-loud moments of the game during the common route. I won't spoil it but it involves a certain weasel in the forest.
Kai's is one of the more intense routes, so I would perhaps save it for a bit later if you're wanting to get the lighter stuff out of the way first.
.
(Spoilers) Suzu Orimaki
Suzu is the genki character of the game, and the senpais make fun of his dancing at the beginning, so I thought the running gag would be that he sucks. But I was pleasantly surprised. Suzu is shown to be committed, a good actor and surprisingly quick with memorizing his lines, though he does make some stupid mistakes throughout. I adored him as the Sleepless King.
Suzu's route is the one I would call the most generic as far as otoges go. A lot of his route is him struggling with his feelings for Kisa. He starts to like her before he's sure she's a girl, and once he knows for sure, he has a really hard time hiding his feelings. To his credit, he also discovers Kisa is a girl on his own, showing he's smarter than we're led to believe.
If you wanted something more nuanced, maybe Suzu's not the character for you, but I really enjoyed it. The more a character struggles with their feelings, the better, imho lol. The cutest scene is after Kisa gives him sweets for valentines day, and he just can't handle how happy is is. You can't help but love Suzu!
You do actually get a lot of character growth as far as acting goes in Suzu's route — just not with Suzu himself. It's Kamiya — one of the side characters, who fanboys over the amazing Tanakamigi, one of Kisa's rivals in a different class — who gets to experience his own arc this time. While it doesn't feel totally resolved in the end, it was nice to see the game highlight some other characters as a result of the decisions Kisa has made.
I also really loved Mare-chan's little arc, as he learns to appreciate standing on stage with his brother. Actually, all the first years are highlighted in this route, which was fun.
Unlike Kai's route, Suzu doesn't confess to Kisa until the very end of his route — but it's very sweet when he does. Overall, Suzu's route felt like a very normal otoge route, but not in a bad way. He's very kind and protective of Kisa. It's hard not to like him.
.
(Spoilers) Soshiro Yonaga
Sou shows obvious signs of being into Kisa, even during the common route, so I figured I'd get a nice little bit of angst in his route. I normally play the childhood friend route closer to the end, but while I really enjoyed Sou's role and growth in the common route, he was such a little jealous bitch in Suzu's route (lol) that I decided to play him next. He pissed me off so much haha. I thought it would be over when he punches Suzu after Suzu discovers Kisa is a girl — something like a send-off to his rival, knowing he can't compete. But he proceeds to be whiny and annoying throughout all the rest of Suzu's route, and this made me want to get his route out of the way.
Sou on his own route is a lot better. He actually impressed me with how straightforward he is. He's the first character (that I played) who confirms he is properly dating Kisa on his route, and his confession was really brave, direct and passionate. It's sad to think that he loves Kisa in every route but won't tell her. He even followed Tsuki to Univeil just to see her again T_T
I was very excited to see we'd be getting some Momonashi context in this route, because he's easily the most mysterious character in the game. You never really understand his motivations, and he always hides his thoughts with a smile. It excited me that he was chosen to be Amber's Al Jeanne this time around, and he is every bit as dark and horrifying as I wanted.
This is also the first route (I played) in which Kisa does not get the lead role by default. I nearly had a heart attack and thought I failed the route because it was so different from Kai's and Suzu's routes. Rest assured, this is what's supposed to happen and it all works out ok. Mitsuki's subtle understanding of the things going on around him is also critical in this route.
But back to Sou. He actually goes through a few different arcs in his own route. While I thought it ultimately ended up ok, I would have liked to see the version of Sou infected with Momonshi's darkness for a little longer. He's only there for a little bit before Suzu's anger snaps him out of it. The back-and-forth of Sou's route felt a little disjointed, and in some places too similar to his plot during the common route.
But ultimately I was very proud of him when he pumps up the crowd during the final performance. Sou comes a long way and his route ends with the promise that there's more to come. Good for you, Sou-chan!
.
(Spoilers) Mitsuki Shirota
Mitsuki is the standoffish character, so he's the only romanceable character who is outwardly rude to you at the beginning of the game. I sometimes have trouble with this sort of character, so I was a little worried about him. But I didn't need to be — ultimately, he became one of my favorites.
Mitsuki is the most observant character in the game. He notices subtle changes and tells Neji to back off when he's putting too much pressure on people. And he's the first to tell Kisa he'll accept her no matter what. Mitsuki is so important to making this game work.
He knows he's good at singing, but when he's put in a starring role, he crumbles under the pressure. Obviously Kisa helps him stand up again, but it was really gratifying to know his aggression comes from a place of fear.
While learning to enjoy the spotlight is part of his common route arc, doing a Mitsuki playthrough really adds to this, as you learn how much Kisa's secrecy is weighing on him. He knows something's up right away, and as he comes to trust and admire Kisa, he begins feeling sad that she doesn't trust him enough to unload on him. There's a particularly poignant scene where he undresses in front of her — something we know he's afraid to do for anyone else. Mitsuki's cutscenes really emphasize his words to Kisa on stage as Rukiora and Chikachina, roles that parallel their own experiences.
I will say that, like Mitsuki himself, his route is very subtle as he quietly influences those around him. You don't get a lot of Amber students in this one, as his focus is more on the second years of Rhodonite and Onyx. He quietly fires them up, and it's so sweet to see how the second years, previously in the shadow of Tsuki Tachibana, become determined to do their best because of Mitsuki.
My only gripe for this route was that we didn't get any more Mitsuki background. His mother appears in a really intense cutscene toward the beginning of the game, so you know he's got family stuff going on, but we never really get any more elaboration on that.
Anyway, I love this boyee so much and I just want to give him a hug.
.
(Spoilers) Sarafumi Takashina
Honestly, I shipped Fumi with Kai more than with Kisa. They had such a nice and supportive relationship.
Fumi is calm, confident and pretty. He tells Kisa he likes her early in the game. He's a mysterious character under a lot of pressure, but you wouldn't know it unless you participate in his cutscenes. If you pay attention, you'll notice he gives nearly everyone nicknames.
Fumi's main game arc involves him growing complacent with the theater because nobody can match him. It's up to Kisa (with help from Sou) to fire him up again.
I tend to have trouble with flirty characters, but Fumi is so confident and kind that I liked him quite a bit. Because he's so aware of his own skills, I was wondering what his next arc would be in his route. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it's Kisa who gets to experience the most growth in Fumi's route as she struggles with the pressure of working alongside Quartz's star.
While perhaps not as dramatic as some of the other routes, Fumi and Kisa work together to understand each other, both on stage and off, and do their best to become suitable partners for one another. Fumi is also grooming Kisa to be the next star of Quartz, so there's a bittersweet dynamic of passing the baton here, too.
There weren't any dramatic twists and turns, but Fumi's route felt natural and gentle. It was a good conclusion for these two. He's also the only character other than Sou who confirms he's dating Kisa by the end of the route, which I appreciated.
.
(Spoilers) Neji Kokuto
Neji is the least serious character in the game acting-wise. He's silly and jokes around, and never gives himself a huge role in any of his own plays. But he's ultimately the one pulling the strings, and he seems to have an extremely good grasp on every character's strengths and weaknesses. He's also the only character who doesn't get his own arc in the common route.
However, I was disappointed with some of his cutscenes during the common route. While I appreciate that he deals with the deep trauma of losing his father with humor and spontaneity, I thought it was an oversimplification for him to say he's afraid of women. The resulting scenes don't feel serious enough and it didn't feel natural that Kisa would fall for him.
If he were simply afraid of falling in love, which is what ultimately led his father (allegedly) to losing his creative flow, I could understand that a bit more. But to have him attend an all-boy's school just because he feels like all women are a risk seemed like a strange move for a game that has been really inclusive about gender so far. It felt very off-putting for Neji, who often puts himself into a female role, to fear women.
But once he realizes Kisa is a girl — once he realizes he knew it all along and was trying to block it from his mind — the tone becomes very dark and sad. My heart was pounding as I felt the weeks go by with no script for the final performance. It was thrilling simply because I didn't know what to expect. It's so different from the other routes.
But I wish Neji was able to express his emotions a bit more. In the end, even as he was contemplating throwing himself into the sea, he wasn't able to be completely serious. I would have appreciated a scene where his walls fully break down, in which he's able to fully embrace Kisa as a woman and appreciate the weight of his own feelings.
I also never felt like Crowley, the character Neji plays in the final performance, was suited to be a main character. He never opens up or shows any weakness. He's just a silly guy and didn't feel like the lead at any point.
I did like how Neji ultimately decides to move forward, even being unable to write. But of course, at the end, Neji is suddenly able to write again. I knew it was coming, but it was a rather convenient ending.
Ultimately, I felt Neji's route was the least successful. I wish he got more growth in his own route. I did love him proposing to Kisa at the end though. It felt very in keeping with his character.
.
(Spoilers) Kisa Route
This is the route you get if you choose not to spend Christmas Eve with anyone, and it's the closest this game gets to a true ending.
Boy, does it deliver. It ties in all the themes from the game into a really strong ending, where every character feels valuable and Kisa gets to lead Quartz to a strong finish. We also finally get an explanation for the title of the game, as Kisa takes on a special role — neither male nor female, just the protagonist who everyone falls in love with.
A fantastic final route for a fantastic game!

I love your characterization so much and my brain keeps thinking about HP crossovers so - What Hogwarts houses would you place the characters in? I just can’t quite decide on Aemond’s…
(I love Stormbreak and your meta so much!!! Thank you for sharing all your wonderful thoughts and works!!)
i'm not sure if this will be a controversial take, but aemond is definitely the kind of person who considers himself slytherin/ravenclaw but is, to his core, a gryffindor. he likes the reputations of intelligence and cunning associated with the first two houses. but the most important points of his life in canon- claiming vhagar, the strong boys toast, chasing luke at storm's end, abandoning his captive mother in king's landing to wild around in the riverlands- those all revolve around gryffindor character traits, both positive and negative, such as courage, lack of impulse control, arrogance, and recklessness.
helaena is 100000% a ravenclaw. she's the hotd luna lovegood.
aegon elder would be a hufflepuff who forced the sorting hat to put him in slytherin because of family expectations and ended up miserable, poor thing.
canon daeron is likely a gryffindor (the whole daeron the daring thing), but stormbreak daeron is much more of a slytherin. very pragmatic, intelligent, cunning, and ambitious. planned out every stage of his life, and all that.
alicent is a hufflepuff, very loyal and devoted and caring and hardworking, but fiercely protective and dangerous when she feels that her loved ones are threatened.
otto is very obviously a slytherin, just a very well-learned and intelligent one. he's the definition of ruthless pragmatism.
rhaenyra is a gryffindor, through and through. she's super confident, arrogant at times, has several big displays of bravery, the whole shebang.
this might also be a bit controversial but jace is a slytherin. hear me out!! he's super devoted to his family and he's obviously very kind and good, which don't come to mind when someone thinks slytherin, sure. but he's very cunning (the whole dragonseed idea) and in stormbreak he is just ruthless (for the greater good, but still). the abdication? the harrenhal arc? he figures out exactly what he needs to do in order to get what he wants and he does it.
luke is a hufflepuff. he's loyal to his family, sweet, doesn't care much about fame or ambition or recognition, just about him and his family being happy. and if he thinks his family's lives are at stake, he'll cut out eyes without hesitation.
joffrey is a ravenclaw, no further questions, my dragon-obsessed hyperfixation king.
daemon... daemon embodies many things. i'm truly torn between gryffindor and slytherin with this one, and whichever one you believe, the sorting hat was definitely torn between the two as well. he's a good fit for gryffindor in much of the same way aemond is, since he can be very reckless and impulsive and brave to the point of idiocy. but he's also very ruthless and cunning when advancing his family's goals, kind of like jace but with less morals and compunctions against murder.
baela is a gryffindor. she values her freedom and independence more than anything and has inherited every one of her father's gryffindor-like traits of arrogance and bravery.
rhaena is a hufflepuff, just like luke, which is why the two of them are so wholesome together. she's very loyal, similarly is content with a low-key but happy life. and she can be very dangerous and fierce when she wants to be; she just uses that side of herself rarely.
aegon is a hufflepuff like his older sister. his priority is primarily to his family, he's not highly fond of the spotlight, he values duty a ton.
viserys is a slytherin, but everyone takes him for a ravenclaw because he's quiet, reserved, and bookish. but he's canonically very cunning and intelligent; you don't successfully rule the seven kingdoms for decades (as king but also as hand) without a ton of political savvy and a ruthless side.

Favorite color:Blue(how ironic)
Personalities:faithful, cunning, skillful, dedicated,fierce,loyal,brilliant,
Cause of Death: Shot in the the back.
Blue, a given name from her parents. Her mother being part of the wardrobe staff and her father is one of the high generals in the Irken military. Through him, Blue learned from him about the way things were under tallest Ozzie’s reign. Her father’s been working under him since he was a young soldier. Blue spent some of her smeethood with her family. She has two identical sisters and one brother who is the only short irken among them. Blue is close to her siblings and has spent time with each of them. They would often listen to their parents stories about how things use to run in their hive. Never leaving out the bad incidents.
Blue spent some time with studying engineering, science stuff to pass the time. Her hive under the rule of tallest Luna had some restrictions in place for some irkens. And rules that were enforced when needed. Blue knew she had to toughen up as soon as she’s drafted into the military academy. Before she got to training, Blue was met with the grand elders who were overseeing all the other Irken soldiers before her. She heard tales about these guys but never thought of meeting them in person. Blue them that when she grows up, she’s going to make their hive the greatest there is, and they believed her.
The council elders are keeping tabs on her training and watching her simulator through Their main screen. Blue gotten through some tough obstacles during her time on the training grounds. Fighting off competitive irkens who wants a better spot in the military once they’ve graduate. She even took some piloting sessions as one of her spare time. Her growth started to show after another few decades. This includes her height her sisters to like teasing her about it. Blue’s brother is part of the pilot crew. Going on explorations in space. As time goes by, Blue went into the tech engineering field. Modifying some old machineries and reboot systems. But she did take the time to create her own inventions.
This one she made after getting the idea from overhearing some generals chatting about the good old days and certain events that happened with each tallest ruling. Blue took a mental note of this and began her inspiring project. Took her some time and she managed to get the necessary materials needed for this to work. At her last day and graduation in the academy, Blue interrupted her superior to present her invention. The Pak! The first of its kind. Despite her explanation of itself functions. Her peers made fun of her.
Calling her invention nothing more than a carrier back pack and that it will serve no significant to the hive. This upsets the blue-eyed irken but she did not throw her effort away just like that. She’ll prove that this Pak will be the future of the Irken race one day. For now Blue kept the pak attached to her and went on with her days. Continuing her studies and work for some monies on the side. Then the trouble happened. Raids on the hive erupted and has left the people here in shambles. It is also where tallest Luna made the decision to tackle the opposing enemy with her forces. This while using up almost all of her own people’s resources. Blue witness how her hivemates began to change towards their leader. On the aggressive side of not wanting her as their tallest anymore.
She can see their frustration but there must be order and control around here. But it seems the people are doing whatever they can survive. With this problem at hand, their numbers are dropping tremendously. To make it worse, the factories making the new production of robots, spaceships, cargo carriers and other things. Has left Irk with polluted air quality. The normal pink sky is now a burning hot red. All the hives are suffering and getting sick from the pollution, and yet tallest’s Luna ignores this issue.
Even with her top senior drones begging her to do something about it. Blue was honestly scared of her leader. Feeling conflicted between being on her side or not. One day, after the death of Luna, in the hands of her own citizens. Blue was called into the council room, where she was told that she’ll be the new tallest. It was an easy hard pass at first, but after a short nudge in the right direction, she eventually agreed. Blue became the new tallest and the first thing she did was fixing all of Luna’s damages with the hive as well as the relationship with their allies.
It took some time for the citizens to trust a tallest again, and she did made it up to them on her predecessors behalf. Though everything looked like it went back to normal. Irkens were still falling sick due to the lingering pollution. Tallest Blue brought up her Pak invention once more and explained in further detail what it is used for and what it can do for them now. She even demonstrated by revealing the Pak legs and all the gadgets and weaponry inside. This turned the opinions around and her hivemates began to trust her.
And with the help of her technicians. Everyone got their very own pak’s installed onto them. This made them feel a lot better and fought over the polluted air. During this reign, Tallest Blue upgraded the spaceships, increased defenses, promoted her twin sisters as head of security. Her mother being her personal head of wardrobe staff. She sees her often. It was her mother who mainly comfort her after Blue lost her brother during a flight crash on no-man’s land. Over the next century, Tallest Blue got hailed from her allies.
They heard about her achievements in maintaining her own people the way she did, and has made a full decision. They want to join her hive. This came as a surprise, but she’ll only allow them to stay if they agree to have her paks installed on them and that they should salute her as their tallest. They will be lead by no other. Which they agree with certainty. Eventually Blue managed to make the remaining rival hives submission to her demands and power. Making them also come to her terms in the pak installation. This is a history changer. No one could have predicted that all the hives would be united this way.
And under one ruler over them all. Tallest Blue made a big speech to everyone. Welcoming all who attended. Luna ended the old era. Blue stared the new one. Her people as one march on to do great things for the rest of her reign. I fact, tallest blue declared this now one hive as her empire! Irkens chanted this word in agreement to where it will take them in they future. While the hivemates are getting to know each other, Blue was summoned to the council hall. She expected to see the elders and gain their praise for her success.
Instead she found bodies everywhere. All except three were not there. She found them in a chamber room. Or at least their disposal bodies. To her shock, the tallest laid eyes on three gigantic machine-like super computers. Hanged up with long heavy wire cables. Each have many glowing eyes. When questioned about this, they told her that this was a necessary step for them and they have waited long for this opportunity. They called themselves the control brains.
The three elders have linked their minds and downloaded their conscious into these things. The other council members were not needed and were killed off. They were opposed to this move. Tallest Blue demanded answers and it was told to her that for far too long their kind have been at each others throats for centuries none stop. They’ve suffered many casualties and it had torn them apart from their main goal. Keeping their species alive.
Blue was told that the control brains wanted peace and unity among the hives. For that to keep going, they asked her a favor. Since it was tallest Blue who has brought everyone together. And given three the new name as an Irken empire. Why stop there? Kingdoms fall but empire’s grow. Their words got to her and she decided to go with it. Blue made an announcement of this to the public. There were no arguments there. Everyone seems to agree with her that their empire must expand throughout the universe. But first they are going to need a bigger army.
With a shortage of smeets not being born or that irkens are not able to have them on their own. The exposure of the pollution might have affected some of their reproductive systems. This is a danger to their species and in order to save it from dropping any further. Tallest Blue made another invention. She created irk’s first smeetery. A cloning factory that she hade invested a lot into. With the help of her technicians and scientists.
They’ve build it deep underground, where they are to be secured. There were a slight criticism from her subjects. Some thought this was just a way to make them obsolete. Not longer relying on natural birthing methods. Blue reassure them that this is a harmless thing and it won’t really replace them. These smeeteries will be used responsibly. This brought the attention of the control brains. They are fascinated with than new idea of hers and wanted to have some connection to the factory. Linking up with the smeetery would lessen the hassle of having drones do it manually. Also it would speed up production with these three, if they were to be the ones in charge of both the smeetery and paks.
Tallest Blue thought this over before allowing the control brains to do just that. But hope that her two inventions are used responsibly. As the years gone by.The irkens went forth with their plans for expanding their empire. Ships went out in search for life form planets. With the intention of getting those aliens to fall under Blue’s ruling. For the most part, it was the nearby planets that were added to the list and she has become the first irken tallest to achieve such a step. Talleat Blue’s reign ended after learning of the true nature of the control brains and their plans for the empire.
She told her people. This would be the debut of the control brains reveal to the world. The tallest got shot in the back and died moments later. Her body was found by her mother and retrieved to her chambers, where she is surrounded by all who loved and admired her. In her memory, her subjects made a mural in the capital and a statue in her honor. Blue’s body was then taken to the site to be properly prep for burial. The control brains had other plans though. They took samples of her DNA and even her Pak for download and stored for the next generation of smeets that will be born in the factory.
They have in fact done the same thing to the tallest in the past. Storing their genetic makeup for this very moment. Blue was a great tallest but she was used as a pawn to the control brains. They knew she was the one who would make them great. With all the inspiration they’ve got. Now was the time to take command over their whole population. And with the paks installed into everyone and the cloning method in full swing. Tallest Blue’s job is done.

*DIALOGUE*
“You want to join us? If you want my approval, you must first salute to me as your tallest and allow my drones to install my paks onto you. Those are my terms. I seek no better agreement than that. We are allies and should work much closer together.”
“Why must you make this all about you? Haven’t I’ve been the one doing the hard work? Fixing up the damages my predecessor left behind. Tightening the strength of our neighboring allies and keeping our population up for years to come! No one asked for machines to take over. The paks and smeetery are my vision! I created this empire and I won’t let my efforts go to waste on you!”

In My _ Era
When I saw this prompt for Day Three of the OC New Year's Challenge, I did a little reflecting. Emphasis on "little" because it came to me very quickly:
I am definitely in my...
ONE PIECE Era!
Really, I've created three new One Piece OCs within the last four months alone. It's really fitting, because Luna - the very same Luna I talked about in yesterday's entry - was my first ever proper OC - and also my first One Piece Era/hyperfixation, and I revamped her only recently, Inari joined her sometime during my earlier Tumblr days, upon my second One Piece Era/hyperfixation, and with the arrival of the live action, I was firmly hyperfixated once more and in my One Piece Era, and I haven't left it ever since. So, I present to you all five of my current One Piece OCs, listed from left to right by the time of their creation.
Aether S. Luna, the "guardian angel" of the Straw Hats. Her crystalline shields and large wings have saved the little band of misfits countless times. Having travelled the seas since she can remember, she eventually ends up won by the Foxy Pirates, becoming part of the stakes during their fight against the Straw Hats. Of course, the Straw Hats (mainly Sanji), try their hardest to get her on their crew.
Charlotte Inari, the Straw Hats' lookout and errand girl. The complicated workings of her devil fruits like to toss her around a little, but she's fiercely loyal to her friends. Oh, and she also just so happens to be the daughter of one of the four Emperors of the Sea. Oh well... Surely, that won't cause any trouble.
Akaito Coraline, also known simply as Cora, the Straw Hats' tailor. The only living descendant of a world-famous family of tailors and a childhood friend of Sanji, Cora always carries three things: Her sewing needle, pierced through her ear. A dream to revive her family's legacy, making sure people remember the truth instead of the myths. And a burden on her mind, one that only Sanji seems to know, and neither of them like to share. Also, a crush on both Sanji and Zoro, but she would never admit that, would she?
Felicity, nicknamed Lily, is half human, half fennec fox mink, and honors a great deal of her vulpine ancestry. From being fairly nocturnal to becoming hyperactive (it's the zoomies, according to Usopp), from frequent naps and sleepy phases to a happily wagging, fluffy tail... Though then again, some of her mood swings might also be blamed on her devil fruit, its powers turning her emotions into... something. You never know.
My newest plot bunny, for now simply known as the "Black Widow", who was inspired by my history professor's tangent on the similarities between Ancient Roman patronage and the mafia. She's a spider with an invisible net of connections, her "friends", which include pirates from the old era, warlords, even emperors if you'll believe some sources. The Black Widow generously "adopts" younger, inexperienced or generally weaker pirates, dubbing them her "children" and offering them her protection - in return for some services, of course. Because friendship is a give and take. Some people claim she's incapable of love, some people claim that she's all talk and no game - but fact is that nobody has succeeded in killing her just yet, and her influence on the powers of the world is undeniable. No matter what you need - money, protection, men, weapons, or even a devil fruit - she can get it for you, for the small, small price of your undying loyalty. Those who have broken this vow all found themselves swimming with the fishes one way or another.
▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄✼▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
Taglist: @starcrossedjedis @oneirataxia-girl @daughter-of-melpomene @supermarine-silvally - let me know if you’d like to be added or removed!

Ordell Hazel! Hiram's child and the nephew of Elias!
Final one done!! Note that this isn't his entire team, just the ones closest to him.
More info:
He serves at the protag
Ordell has never liked the whole servent master and the whole being faithful thing. Due to this he has a strained relationship with Taka and disliked him because of this (When he returned to Reborn after running away years later he no longer dislikes him, but still has a difficult time being around him)
He adores his siblings and Luna a lot, he also gets along well with Ace and is incredibly close to Blake, he looked up to him when Blake used to babysit him. (In this au Blake joined when he was 16, Cal ran away from home at 15 which is a year after Blake joins and then becomes a leader at 18, again messing with the timeline and stuff a bit for plot convenience)
Made sure Zero was never left out or felt like a third wheel despite being adopted and not being part of the twins.
Ordell has a difficult relationship with Solaris. He really wants to hate him, but he's also the one who taught him to stand up for himself and fight back. He used to be very soft and scared as a child and Solaris taught him how to be stronger and fierce.
Ordell does love his uncle but often butts heads with El over the religion.
He adores his father a lot, but believes he is a coward for not quitting despite wanting to do so when he was younger.
Hiram had obtained a key to a harbor in coral ward where he prepared a boat for Ordell to escape. He left this for Ordell anonymously and disguised it as a "Boat that was going to be discarded anyway."
He wasn't planning on saying goodbye on anyone, but got caught by Zero who tried to stop him but eventually helped distract Solaris and Elias who almost caught Ordell leaving. He did come across Blake and simply told him "I'm going out, please don't tell anyone."
He ran away to Alola when he was 15, where he was adopted by a fisherman there. He lived there in Seafolk Village
His adoptive father, Hal, is a npc that can be found and fought in SM!
He went from being a hard headed, angry and 'family is the only social life I need' type of kid to a more fience, outgoing, fun and social person.
Despite not having a type specialty/preference like his siblings or father he does seem to use a lot of human-like/anthropomorphic pokemon. He also has a soft spot for Alolan pokemon.
His used to have an Eevee who he left behind and is now owned by his sibling Divers, who nicknamed her pearl. He originally planned to evolve it into an Espeon to match his siblings (Zero- Umbreon, Divers- Sylveon)
Ordell upon meeting Luna again promises he's not with team Meteor or El. Despite Luna claiming El isn't her father or Hiram and Divers as her uncle and cousin she does refer to Ordell as her cousin. In fact she refers to him as her older brother to others.
He is Polyamory!

marauders era girls as disney princesses (+ two others)
because there is simply not enough about these girls in the fandom
narcissa black | mulan
narcissa is a survivor first and foremost and a slytherin all the way. mulan seems like a gryffindor at first glance - running away into battle and defying the role laid out for her, she seems more like sirius than narcissa - but she’s also doing this for her family, for her father, which is literally what narcissa is all about. the song honor to us all gives such narcissa vibes to me. the quiet but still fierce girl that turns into a soldier for her family.
andromeda black | jasmine
this one is more obvious. young princess sick of the world she’s stuck in falls in love with someone far below her station who teaches her about world outside the palace. andromeda and ted tonks anyone? plus jasmine is plenty sneaky and does what needs to be done.
bellatrix black | merida
bella was difficult for me to decide but i chose merida because they’re both headstrong but still care about their families. bella is the only named female death eater and pure blood daughters were expected to be trophy wives, she didn’t exactly fit the mold did she? merida refuses to be contained and i see bellatrix, especially young bella, in her.
pandora rosier | snow white
i always imagine pandora as kind of dreamy. intelligent obviously, but she’s definitely where luna got some of her personality from. she seems like someone who would be content in nature and appreciate the little things, and i feel like she would resonate with snow white.
dorcas meadowes | elsa
dorcas very much strikes me as an independent woman. she has her soft spot (marlene) like elsa does anna, but she’s not afraid to be her own person. i can also definitely see her needing to find herself like elsa does, especially when she finds herself on the opposite side of there war from her best friends.
marlene mckinnon | moana
marlene is definitely a gryffindor. she’s wild and free and does what makes her happy. i can definitely see moana’s free spirit in her and the determination to do what’s right, even when it’s not the easy thing **cough cough facing down a bunch of death eaters on her own**
lily evans | belle
i feel like this one is obvious. lily loves learning and she’s good at it. she reminds me of belle so much. girl ends up with a guy pining after her who she hates but eventually realizes that he’s not so bad once she gets to know him. like please, that’s literally jily. lilys also really headstrong and will do what she thinks is right, just like belle.
alice fortescue | tiana
alice was also a little difficult for me just because i feel like we don’t know that much about her. but she just gives me such tiana vibes. i feel like she’s definitely hardworking, i mean she becomes an amazing auror soon after graduating hogwarts. she’s kind, but won’t take anybody’s shit.
mary macdonald | anna
i feel like mary is just the kindest soul ever and will help anyone who needs it unless they give her a reason not too. she’s the friend that won’t stop reaching out to you if you’re being self destructive and trying to ice everyone out (see what i did there). her heart is huge and she sees the good in people.
+2
sirius black | ariel
classic kids rebelling against their parents and what they’ve been taught their whole life about the people who are different than them.
harry potter | anastasia
child is separated from the world they were born into when their parents meet an untimely death at the hands of enemies. when they’re older, they discover their true identity (i didn’t realize i needed a harry potter anastasia au until now).
#narcissa black#andromeda black#bellatrix black#the black sisters#pandora rosier#pandora lovegood#pandora lestrange#dorcas meadowes#marlene mckinnon#alice fortescue#mary macdonald#lily evans#sirius black#harry potter#marauders#the marauders era#slytherin#gryffindor#ravenclaw#jily#disney princess#the valkyries#slytherin skittles#i actually prefer the slytherin court but whatever#pandora has three different last names to choose from#i chose rosier because why not#mulan#jasmine#aurora#merida

Nox EPIC OC
okay his name is Nox(meaning night) with forest green eyes and jet black hair along with freckles. he was an orphan that tried to steal from Ody and Polites but he was weak from an infected wound on his thigh they decide to patch him up and send him to live with a friendly carpenter in the woods.he has a pretty bad scar on his thigh around the same place Ody got one from the boar and he is proud of it cause it makes him more like his role model. Polites often visits to help give him an education and Ody taught him how to fight and protect himself.
when he is around 17 a cat stumbles across the cabin and he takes it in helping it too heal only for it to turn out the cat was the goddess Hecate. as thanks for helping her she gives Nox cat like flexibility and eyesight in the dark.He can also communicate with cats.
Nox was not required to go to war he volunteers so he can fight alongside his role models and saviors Ody and Polites. He was 19 when he left for the war.His eyes shine in the dark which he loves freaking people out with them along with his footsteps being almost silent he is a huge prankster. very close with Elpenor they always love pulling pranks with each other. His ticklish spots are his neck, spine, and bottoms of his feet. Often uses his woodworking skills to carve little gives for crew members.
during the war he is very valuable as a spy/scout and info gathering. his ability to be silent and see in the dark makes him hard to spot and can get info from nearby cats. Always befriending cats sad about having to leave them behind that is until he finds Luna. Luna is a black tiger with white stripes. Luna refuses to leave Nox so now they are almost always together. He is not super strong as in pure strength better at speed and stealth tho he can hold up decently in a head on fight thanks to ody teaching him. his favored weapons are bow n arrows and daggers but can use a sword if needed. Becomes well know as the greek who rides into battle on a fierce tiger either shooting at enemies with his bow or slicing with a sword while on the tigers back.
at first the crew is terrified of Luna but over time they grow used to her and eventually is given lots of love and attention which Luna very much enjoys. crewmembers can be found taking a nap curled up with Luna although only if they are brave enough to be seen cuddling with a cat(although nobody teases anyone about it cause they all want cuddles with Luna).if they are having trouble finding food they can send out Nox and Luna as they always come back with plenty of meat. Nox has a small handheld mirror he uses the sunlight glaring off the mirror to play with Luna and they often play fight(Luna usually wins ofc).
oh and Luna dies shoving Polites out of the way of the cyclops club(a necessary and noble sacrifice) Nox takes one of her claws to make into a necklace like this:

So if the entire GG Cast had animal ears, who do you think would be each animal and why?
You can ask me what I think their fursonas would be, it's ok. I'm just gonna do Strive or I'll never finish writing this haha
Sol gets cat ears. He wants to be a dog so bad but he's a cat. Sorry Sol but you're cranky and love people anyway and that's catman behavior
Ky would have wolf ears. Wolves can be beautiful and majestic but Ky is a machine in battle and is a good leader. Him and his squad will destroy anything they need to like a pack of wolves.
Jack-O' would be a colugo, I think. They're these sort of stubby-tailed squirrel-like animals with webbing around their arms and legs that lets them glide from tree to tree. They're also kinda green!! Colugo are very cool. Anyway, they're weird and silly and bendy. Jack-O' animal.
Chipp is a squirrel. I see the little grey and black squirrels around here jumping around and climbing on shit and I'm like "Yeah, Chipp behavior"
Potemkin is tricky hmm... Maybe a buffalo? He's big and lumbering and just wants to chill but he'll fuck shit up with his giant horns if he has to. I'm getting lost in the image of him being big and fluffy...
I don't have an explanation for this but I want Nago to have a bat motif so badly. Not in a vampire way like Slayer though, more like one of those flying foxes with the cute little ears and big ol eyes. I love them.
I wish I knew Gio better because all I can think is "dog" but that feels like a cop-out lol
Goldlewis would be a dog too but like a St Bernard with big floppy ears. St Bernards don't get angry easy, but they're so big I don't want to see one ready to throw down. I think a St Bernard could juggle me across the room and crush my guts like a bug on the wall.
Testament would be a cat but one of those really classy sleek black cats with a lithe build. I don't know the breed name but Testament is always talking about baths and probably loves to be pampered like a fancy cat.
Bridget would have hamster ears. Look at those squishy little cheeks. Hamster girl.
Sin is a PUPPY he eats EVERYTHING and he's SILLY. Give him the floppy baby half-wolf ears he deserves
I-no would have lion ears. Female lions are very fierce but efficient hunters but they've also got a bit of an attitude.
Baiken is another tricky one. Maybe a hyena? Spotted hyenas especially have a very interesting relationship with gender and the females are quite masculine. They also get mischaracterized a lot, similarly to Baiken... Spotted hyenas live in groups but they can also be pretty independent and are capable of some wild stuff, like having one of the strongest bite strengths amongst mammals and being able to eat bones. I think Baiken would eat bones if she had to.
Ram is pretty cat coded too but I don't think she'd be a house cat. Maybe something like a caracal? They're charismatic but they're still large cats. I wouldn't want to fight a caracal, it'd bite my arm off.
Zato is an interesting one. A lot of the cast has at least a bit of an underlying animal motif but Zato really doesn't... Zato would have luna moth antennae. Luna moths, once they enter their moth stage, don't have mouths and can't eat. They're doomed to die the second they crawl out of their chrysalis, like how Zato was doomed to die the second he summoned Eddie.
Millia would have a feathery crest like a bird even though she also has some cat motifs in Strive. Birds kill and eat moths. I don't know what kind of bird though. Horned owl?
Axl has labrador retriever energy. Sort of silly/relaxed by default but those dogs can get serious when they work.
Faust... Hmm... God I honestly have no idea haha Faust is really in like his own little category, I have no clue what to file him under. He kinda has this indescribable frog energy but those don't have ears in a traditional sense lol
Leo is leo. Another cop-out answer but the man's a lion through and through haha
Anji is so pretty, he's another bird. Like one of those ones where the males have an elaborate mating dance lol Maybe he'd have a peacock crest.
May would have bunny ears. She's kinda round and adorable but rabbits are a little crazy haha They'll bite you!! But they don't like getting wet so maybe making her a rabbit is oxymoronic rofl
