I'm not super knowledgable about the Campbells but Deanna has been on my mind for the past couple of days. The fact that Dean is named after her does something to me in my chest uk. He's named after his grandma, there's something soooo tender and tragic about it 😭😭😭. He never got to know his grandma that well (he at least saw samuel in s6 a bit...tho he kinda saw him at his worst but uk meh...it still counts).

So, I was wondering if you have any thoughts on canon Deanna? (Do we have enough scenes with her or must we make do with headcanon? If so, I wanna know your hc too!).

I loved entertaining this thought so much that I turned this into multiple posts. Thank you for sending it!

Overall, I get a few key impressions from SPNprime Deanna:

(1) Deanna's the "fun" one to Samuel's "killjoy" worrier personality.

Outwardly, she's fun-loving, friendly, and loves to make merry with eat and drink. (We see her with beer, inviting Dean to dinner, making alcohol jokes, etc.) She's at least outwardly a foil to Samuel's crabbiness. But though she puts a gentle hand on Dean and plays nice in the beginning, she's also very VERY ready to kill him for being a potential threat later. She goes from friendly to ready to kill Dean, while Samuel goes from gruff to ready to throw in everything to help Dean.

Remember how Samuel liked Cas? I think Deanna would be the one in the family who would seriously want to kill Cas at first. I think she considers herself the ruthless one who does what needs to be done; she makes the hard decisions like sending Dean away and discounting what he's saying.

(2) In the Samuel-and-Mary rebellion dynamic, Deanna's the peacemaker.

She watches them poke and pick at each other, realizing that they fight because they're alike. She is the one who is always keep an ear out for a fight and checking in on them to puts a stop to their sniping:

(3) Deanna lightens the mood, cracks jokes, and assures everyone that things will be fine.

Between them, she's the one who cracks a lighthearted joke while downplaying the danger and stress of the hunting life.

(See what I did there with the spirits and the mixxing?) She pokes fun at John's goody-two-shoes nature... and gets away with it.

Because in Mary's eyes, her mom can do no wrong.

When it comes to family decisions, Deanna is the one who has the final say. She is BOSS. She's the head of the table.

She may not go on every hunt, but she is the one who "LETS" them put themselves in danger. She's the commander, the marshal.

We see this in action when Dean is talking about Azazel. Samuel listens attentively, but he is checking in with and CONSTANTLY looking to Deanna. (He looks pleadingly to her about 7 times during this particular exchange.)

In this case, she unfortunately downplays the danger. She doesn't even go on the Walsh hunt. I get the impression that her mode of survival is to DENY and RATIONALIZE danger.

And I really hate that for her. She very likely winds up thinking it's her fault, that she make the wrong call, that she should've gone with them, etc.

(4) Mary idolizes Deanna. Deanna is boss, hero, and head of table. (Actually, they have a very balanced, healthy round table, when you get down to it.)

But my point is, Deanna occupied an idolization space that is culturally more reserved for hero-fathers. That's why Dean got named after Deanna. Because Deanna was "dad" in so many ways. (Yes, she cooks, which could be viewed as stereotype, but Samuel gets shackled with a lot of the actual cultural "caretaking" duties, both in SPNprime and SPNwin.)

When Mary is scared, she looks to Deanna first.

Like here, when Dean mentions John might be in danger, Mary's eyes snap to Deanna. (Samuel is like this too ofc.)

Furthermore, Mary doesn't seem to get mad at Deanna in quite the same way as she does Samuel. In 4x03, we hilariously see Deanna poke fun at John's nonexistent hunting skills, while Samuel catches most of the flack for it.

The truth is, Deanna probably has a lot of qualities that Mary wishes she herself had. Even as late as season 14, we see a Mary is worried that she comes off "cold and mean," because what she WANTS to be is more like Deanna: fun-loving and good with people and badass while also being a GOOD cook.

I would imagine that Deanna naturally makes friends quite easily, and Mary probably idolized her mother's extensive hunting network... unlike dad, who doesn't wanna work with other hunters and isn't popular.

I can see Mary spending hours trying to live up to Deanna's sword/knife skills, even thought she's technically more of a natural with a gun.

Dean idolized John for much of his life, and I think Mary idolized Deanna and longed to be more like her.

When Dean says this weird thing about Deanna's name with that goofy face, Mary doesn't even blink. She's all smiles and nodding.

Like YUP THAT'S DEANNA AND OBVIOUSLY YOU'RE FLOORED BY HER PRESENCE BECAUSE SHE IS THE BEST AND THE COOLEST

...unlike my dad, who is a Mean Loser who wants to "control" me.

(5) Deanna is not the primary caretaker

When things are balanced, she's there. But I don't think she gravitates towards taking care of kids. While food is a love language for Deanna, we see that she doesn't exactly gravitate towards the lion's share of the child-rearing.

Samuel seems to take on the caretaking duties moreso, both in SPNprime with Mary and in SPNwin when it came to taking care of Mary, Maggie, Lata, Carlos.

Which is why Deanna is the hero, and Samuel is... not. He's taking on the "mean mom" cultural stereotype.

As for SPNwin, @angelsdean had some wicked awesome headcanons while it was running about Deanna's speculative relationship with the Akrida Queen plot. (I think it would've been a Deanna plot if the series had gotten a full season.)

After all, Mary realizing how imperfect Deanna is has the bones of a delicious crisis.

Despite Mary lip servicing that Samuel is a big meanie, we see that Mary and Deanna are actually SO FOND of him. Even when he's making this huge show of growling at strangers and making his gruff quips, they're rolling their eyes and smiling.

Mary even smiles genuinely the dumb cheerleader joke he makes on the case. Because of this, it reads like an in-joke.

Like, "Dad, you know I'm the jock in that scenario. I want John to be waving the pom-poms."

Anyway, at dinner, when Dean gives it right back to Samuel, everyone smiles.

Dean fits in really well with their family because his prickliness is something they appreciate and like.

(Deanna hides her smile by stuffing her face. OMG I LOVE HER.)

EDIT BONUS:

Dean picks up on the "dogpile on Samuel" energy. Look at this SENIOR joke he cracks. (Jack Kline would be proud.)

Then Dean throws Samuel under the bus, and it's so funny. Given how this woman's sons refers to them as "Bible thumpers," I think it's safe to say that this woman hates religion, and she's passive-aggressively making it known.

It's painfully obvious that Samuel doesn't love talking to people, especially emotional people. Which is valid, because he's got a SERIOUS case of foot-in-mouth disease. But anyway, that's probably why he begged Mary to come along in the first place.

The person who finds it the funniest has to be Diavolo himself, seeing his closest confidant having someone who is as naggy as themselves cracks him up everytime. He probably starts using you as a way to slip out of unwanted conversations with Lucifer.

When he was choosing an exchange student, he didnt except for them to start developing a budding relationship. Sure, maybe he found you especially annoying at times, the cream puff explosion to the countless other incidents, he doesnt doubt that if he were anyone else you probably wouldve been long gone. But it would be after all those incidents, he would scribble away in his office- the picture of your lingering smile plays over and over again in his mind like a broken record player.

He pictured you tripping down the stairs with files in hand, and he smiled. Whether it was out of adoration or just cruel amusement was unknown but he's never been the best at discerning his own emotions. Yet he doesnt let anyone but you linger in his office, sure sometimes one of his brothers comes in there to ask for something, but they rarely go out of their way to spend their time with it, and that's usually just how he likes it. The first few times you sat in the armchair pushed into the corner of the room, he’d sneak dubious glances at you every now and then, keeping his silence. Today, he just accepts your presence, your sleeping body sprawled out on the armchair as if you dont have a care in the world, feels natural to him- in fact, when you arent there, Lucifer finds it hard to keep focus. 

As much as he may try to deny it, he’ll always have a certain fondness for you that no one else can claim nor replace.

an: omg anon, your request has been in my ask box for so long! I kept you waiting for a long time lmao. I hope you enjoy this one! Also, I have not proof-read this

During a specific time of night, you always notice guy with brown hair looking through the small make shift window of the tarpaulin tent that houses your family's snack bar. Dressed in all black, his tall figure, blends in with the dim lighting outside the snack bar. You don't know how long you've been staring at him, but it seems like he noticed you staring at him before you can realize what you're doing. You tried calling out to him, but he walked away before you even got the chance to. For the following nights to come, this is how your meeting with him would take place.

Friday night comes, and you made sure to hide behind the tarpaulin snack bar waiting for the time when he usually comes around-- 10pm. You waited for a couple of minutes to pass before coming around, and sure enough, there he is standing in-front of the snack bar, a white dog sitting next to him. The dog noticed you, and gave a small bark towards your direction causing him to look towards you.

"Hey, I noticed you're always here during this time looking through. Aren't you going to go in? You're always lurking out here like weirdo." You raised your brow as you study his face in the dim lighting. You aren't going to lie, this guy looks quite attractive. The yellow lights of the street lights bounces off his brown hair making seem like he has a halo on his head. An angel on earth perhaps?

"How long have you been there?" His question snapped you out of the trance you were about to enter when admiring his face.

"Not long, I was hoping to catch you actually."

"And I'm the weirdo?"

"Hey! Any one in their right mind would wonder why some guy keeps staring, but never buy anything! Much less enter!"

"It's called window shopping, dumbass." His rebuttal got you confused. Who even window shops food? But before you can get the words out of your mouth, he had already walked away with his dog on his tail. You're not sure why, but you hoped that he would come again tomorrow night.

When the next night came, you waited for him outside in-front of the snack bar unlike last time, and sure enough, he came again at the same time. He paused in his tracks when he noticed you standing outside the snack bar with your hands inside your apron pocket.

Upon noticing his arrival you told him, "Follow me inside." You grabbed his wrist and pulled him into the snack bar. There were three tables inside and a few folding chairs around the tables. You pulled him directly towards an empty table made him sit. "We have rice and curry, fried chicken, tteokbokki and seaweed soup. What do you want to eat?"

"I'm not hungry." He said pointedly, looking you straight in the eyes with his dark pretty eyes. As he said this, his stomach growled loud enough to catch the attention of his dog.

"Just tell me what you want. My grandma figures that you're probably 'window shopping' outside because you're hungry." You said as you pointed towards your grandma sitting behind the counter. "Just tell me what you want before I change my mind."

"I don't want your charity." He said as he glimpsed at the food.

"Look here, uhhh..."

"Johan" Johan was unsure why he told you his name, but when he gave it out anyways. It was quite unusual for him. Often times, he would just stay quite and leave the other person hanging.

"Look here, Johan. Do I look like I got room to be charitable. I'm not doing this to be charitable. My grandma would probably kill me if I let you starve any further."

Johan smirked and said, "I wouldn't mind seeing that."

"Forget it, I'll just choose for you." You walked behind the counter where the small make shift kitchen is. Using the ingredients the prepped ingredients, you made a quick and easy curry and served it to him on top of hot white rice. "Here, don't worry about paying for it, and if you feel like you should pay, you can pay me by helping my grandma grocery shop."

"Thanks, but shouldn't you be helping your grandma though?" Johan asked as politely as he could.

"Well yeah, but I'm in school during the day, so I can't help grandma."

Johan nods as he silently ate the food that was served to him. Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months. Soon enough it's been a year ever since Johan started helping out your grandma. Sometimes, he'd even help out setting up the stall or cleaning up at the end of the night. Ever since then you and Johan have gotten closer. You'd have banters all the time so much so, that some customers have said that the two of you banter like an old married couple. You would simply brush off the comment and say, "as if I'd marry him." The redness of your entire face kind of give away how flustered you are because of the comment.

Today is the weekend, and as you were setting up there was a guy wearing a tracksuit that came up to you handing you a package meant for Johan. A few hours later, Johan came with your grandma with the prepped ingredients for tonight's menu.

"Hey Johan, this came for you earlier. Some guy named Zack dropped it off earlier for you." You informed Johan as you handed him a neatly wrapped gift. "He said, 'Happy Birthday and come home.'"

Johan grabbed the gift from you and thanked you. Before he can go on about his day you asked, "How come you never said today is your birthday?"

"Why? Were you planning on getting me a gift?" He asked in a teasing voice.

"No, you ass." You rolled your eyes and get to cooking. Not long after, you came back to him with a small steaming hot pot filled with seaweed soup. Johan looked up at you in surprise as you set the soup down on the table in-front of him.

"It's seaweed soup. You probably haven't had some in a while ever since you left home, so I thought I'd make you some. Happy Birthday Johan." Johan felt a comforting warmth envelope him as he watches the small and gentle smile on your face. The smile may have been small, but it's the kind of smile that reaches your eyes-- making them shine despite the terrible lighting in the snack bar. Out of all the food you've made for him, curry is his favourite as well as the seaweed soup you've made for him on his birthday.

So I noticed on your art of the swimming eaps episode, that human Eclipse is called Elias. I'm curious if there is a reason behind that name, or if it just happened to be the same name as Dazzle (Eleanor's) human dad.

There is actually a reason behind that name... sort of ??

[Reasoning behind name]:

When I first created that human version of Eclipse, I originally called him 'Ethan" but it just didnt seem to fit him, yet I was stuck with that name for years. So, a few months prior after searching up a few names, I landed on the name 'Elias' since it just felt like a stronger name—and also I could use it for angst (I'll speaks ot that later) >:D

Now I applied that those name changes into the story, where:

~•Eclipse has always been called 'Elias' or 'Eli' because of Samuel (human Sun) (short explanation and backstory from this ask and this post), but never exactly applied it until he went to the EAPS dimension where he temporarily got the name 'Ethan' and didnt like it at all. :D

About the angst bit earlier: since Thalia (human Terra) was formerly named 'Elizabeth' to match 'Earth', I have a little HC in my human au that mostly everyone calls her 'Eli' (or 'Eliza') back then, but only Samuel doesnt since 'Eli' was a nickname he called Eclipse and was just gonna painful for him to use since it felt like Eclipse tainted that nickname. Yey angst :D

[Coincidence]:

Ive actually has his human name like that for a while now (first post dating back from January), so it is just a coincidence that it was the same name as Dazzle's actual father—I now joke sometimes that my human version of Eclipse is the superior Elias hehe (not hate to Dazzle's actual dad/Elias Winters tho; he seemed to be grieving still which is why he took it pretty badly and just didnt understand well)

(During that SAMS ep, my jaw actually dropped /silly since I didnt think theyd used that name lmao. For the most part, at least I now know how Elias is pronounced since Ive always called it 'E-lee-as' aka literally sounding the name out)

Been thinking about some HCs that I have regarding Viktor's childhood and family life so here we go!

I feel like Viktor would have had pretty decent if not good parents until their apparent passing.

I was finding theories about him being a natural born mage but never learned or realized it and that's part of why the Arcane/Hexcore reached out to him and you know what? I love those theories so I officially accept this as a HC!

Back to his parents, I feel like his father worked in the mines while his mother was a healer. In his father's spare time, he tinkers a bit in a small workshop at home which Viktor often watched and later helped as he got older. He would make either something that could help make things easier (or even just tolerable) in the mines/help his wife or some small toys for Viktor to play with (wind up toys in particular). At first he would keep Viktor out for his own safety but relents when the kid just stubbornly doesn't stop trying to get closer to his work desk (he's not completely mad, more like a mixture of exasperation but then fondness).

Viktor was described as having his mother's tenacity/stubbornness but kind nature while also having his father's creativity and curiosity. His ambition/desire to improve lives and help people (namely in Zuan) came from both of them. His appearance is considered a perfect combination of both (namely his mother's beauty marks, facial structure and eye shape while he has his father's eye and hair colors along with his frame).

Neither of them are fond of the violence happening around Zuan and try to make sure Viktor doesn't get dragged into it.

They also don't judge Viktor for his bad leg and try their hardest to support and make sure he doesn't feel like a burden.

His mother was noted to have a beautiful singing voice and would sing lullabies to Viktor to help him sleep regardless of how old he is. Notably I feel like she would sing the song young Jinx/Powder sang at the beginning of the first episode of Season 1 ("Dear Friend Across The River") to him since I feel like it would have been a common song in Zuan and it was the song that stuck with him into adulthood. When he started living in Piltover to present day, he would sing it to himself as a means to comfort himself/keep himself calm whenever he's in a bad place mentally. Here's a beautiful cover of it I found as an example:

He was very fond of animals and insects, notably butterflies and birds.

And this is where the inspiration I got from this fic by @gardezamour comes in as I think it would be sweet if canaries were a favorite bird of his! Especially when his father starts to raise/take care of one to use at the mines. Viktor immediately developed a close bond with it which his father notices and allows him to help in taking care of it. He even gives it a name (was thinking "Blitzcrank" as a League nod but I'm open to suggestions) and would sing along with it with his mother.

His mother would call him (forgive me so, so, much for possibly butchering the Czech language, feel free to correct me!) "Malý Kanár (Little Canary)" due to that fact that he reminds her of such a bird (this bird species is known for their intelligence, gentle and friendly nature (occasional playfulness too), singing, and while they like attention/socializing, they're not fond of heavy handling/being coddled. They also sometimes like to observe from a distance and can be a little solitary).

He does tell them about Singed after they grew suspicious of him sneaking out to meet with him. They're wary since they have heard occasional rumors about the man but decided to trust their son's judgement.

The day where Viktor learned the true extent of Singed's work (aka the moment he saw Rio in an agonized state shown in the flashback) ended up being one of the worst days of his life as things went from bad to worse the day after it.

To summarize: It started out as an ordinary day as Viktor was finally able to come out of his room after breaking down from what he witnessed from Singed and notices that his father left the canary at home to keep him company before leaving for work so he volunteers to take it to him with his mother asking him to deliver a lunch she made (her health is slowly declining due to the pollution and use of the Grey being more frequent). He was able to reach the mines ok aside from some suspicious looking enforcers around the area and went to find his father. He keeps going until the canary starts acting up for some reason. Remembering what he was taught about it, he starts to panic (to recap, back in the day canaries were commonly used to detect early signs of a gas leak irl). Before he could decide what to do, he gets knocked back by an explosion followed by pained and then angry shouting in the background. He ends up with an injury or two as he struggles to get back up, calling for his father.

A different form of gas (the Grey) gets tossed in moments later and he starts to cough violently as chaos erupts around him due to anger and then panic from the other miners. Maybe think of the destruction of Sandleford Warren in Watership Down for a better idea of it. The last thing Viktor saw before passing out was the canary slowly dying in its cage and someone approaching him in a gas mask.

In short, this worsens Viktor's health problems and his father falls ill too because of the gas. He's devastated upon discovering the now dead canary and mourns it along with his father when they both wake up in a recovery area. They decide to bury it outside their home. I guess insert loss of remaining innocence symbolism here? Idk tbh. 😅

I'm not sure how it would work timeline wise so the miner that rescued him is open to interpretation but it'd be interesting if it was a young Vander that saved him and he just didn't remember due to the trauma of the event. I think it would add more depth to why he was so willing to help heal Vander in S2.

I do like the scrapped idea that he snuck into the academy after his parents purchased the uniform as a gift for him so hey why not right?

I'd probably say his parents passed away from the same illness he has during his academy years which hurt him deeply and he was able to at least visit Zuan to pay his respects. He looks through his father's workshop and is overwhelmed with nostalgia as he takes a moment to grieve when he finds all the toys that were made for him kept in good condition after so long.

He initially felt that they didn't want him around anymore when they gave him the uniform they bought him when in actuality, they knew their time was short and wanted to give him an opportunity for a better life in Piltover since they knew how much he wanted to make a difference and make lives better. This is what fully breaks him as he simply apologizes over and over while crying. He promised to keep going as his goal didn't change before singing his mother's lullaby for the first time in years.

He does open up to Jayce about them and even lightheartedly says that they probably would've liked him a lot.

If we apply the Trans HC to him then they would be pretty accepting of him too!

That's pretty much all I got so far but yeah! I'm trying here but hope you all like them!

I've been thinking a lot about the Valdez family—and not just Sammy, Esperanza, and Leo—so I decided to make my own in depth Valdez family list with headcanons (obviously, since some we don't even know the name of)

Sammy Valdez was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the first in his family to be born in the United States, his parents having immigrated from Mexico right before he was born.

Sammy's wife (Leo's bisabuela), Otília Delgado-Fuentes, was born in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to Houston as a teenager with her parents. She met Sammy at his shop when her car broke down and the rest in history. She ended up working the business side of Sammy's shop, selling spare parts, as well as putting in transactions for what Sammy was doing.

In addition to Sammy Jr. (I'm just gonna be calling him Samuel for the sake of simplicity for now on), I think they had three editional kids: the others being Emilio, Aleyda, and Evangelina. Samuel was the eldest, followed by Aleyda, Emilio, and finally, Evangelina.

Samuel, as well as Evangelina, followed in their father's footsteps and became mechanics. Aleyda became a writer, and Emilio helped his mother run the business portion of the shop. Both Emilio and Aleyda decided to attend college, while Samuel and Evangelina did an informal trade school under their father's tutegale.

Aleyda moved away to New York and married a fellow latine writer named Salvador García, and barely keeps in touch with the family. They have no children.

Emilio married a woman named Martha Delacruz and had three children—Silvia, Estefania, and Enrique.

Evangelina never married, instead focusing on her career. She was Esperanza's favorite person when Esperanza was a girl, and her biggest inspiration, and also adored Leo. I haven't decided why or how, but unfortunetely, Evangelina died sometime before Esperanza, because I'm convinced she would have fought tooth and nail to get custody of Leo if she was there.

Samuel, of course, had two daughters, Rosa and Esperanza. Samuel married Margarita Rosa Iglesias-Perez, a Mexican immigrant who went to Houston to attend college.

Rosa, in addition to Raphael (who Leo mentions in Mark of Athena, I believe) has two more children, María Rosa and Carmen with her husband, Matías Cisneros-Cortez.

Esperanza, obviously, has just Leo, who is the eldest of Sammy's great-grandkids, as stated in Mark of Athena. Some childhood Leo Valdez headcanons of mine is that he attended a bilingual school up until third grade (we know why third grade) and that he had to be taken to another classroom during math because he would act out due to boredom. (He has ADHD and was at a college math level at 8, of course he'd be bored.)

These next three are future, or my headcanon for Leo's kids, so if you were just here for the possibly canon-compliant ones, that's over! I'm totally fine with people using the previous name headcanons in fics without giving me credit, as it is just names, but I'd appreciate it if people tell me about some Valdez family fics! I'm always looking for some, and have only read like one or two. However, for Leo's children, if you take more than just their names, I'd appreciate the tag. I've had them since like 2016, and am really attached, even though some details have changed a lot since then (example being, back then, I thought canon couples were infallible and I had to make them Leo and Calypso's kids, when now, they're just Leo's).

This part is detailed in my Solangelo future fic, Surprise? but my favorite hc of all time is aro/ace Leo who adopts demigods to give them the childhood he deserved. So all three are demigods (children of Hephaestus as well, because I think that's fitting) and Leo's a single father who gets help from everyone at Waystation.

The eldest is Madalena Esperanza, who has her own POV in Surprise? in Chapter 7: Leo and Calypso's Garage: Auto Repair and Mechanical Monsters. She was born in Portland, Oregan, and her mother died of childbirth. With no other living family members, Hephaestus took her to Waystation to see if Emmie and Jo could take her (as Leo was still in college, at 20), but Leo saw her and instantly realized that he wanted to adopt her because he saw bits of baby him in her, and had the funds to as he was working part time at a local mechanic shop on weekends that paid decent, and Emmie and Jo were able to help. Madalena was the name her mother had planned to give her, and Leo added Esperanza when he officially adopted her. Random fact about her is she grows up to be an Olympic level skateboarder, and Leo built her a few pipes to practice.

Next, also in Surprise? is Leo's middle, Aidan. His story is detailed almost completely in the fic—his bio mother didn't want a kid and was going to give him up for adoption so Hephaestus went to Leo to ask him if he wanted to adopt another kid. Leo said yes, and him and Lena went to Illinois to pick him up from the hospital. His bio mother also didn't want to name him, so Leo and Lena did.

Finally, not in Surprise? is Emilia. Leo's youngest, who's seven years younger than Aidan, and thirteen younger than Lena, so she's not present in the fic, but is special in my heart. Her bio parent, like Lena's, died in childbirth, and Hephaestus once again asked Leo if he had room for one more kid. She was born in Miami, Florida.

So, there's my Valdez family tree! Again, feel free to use everyone in your fic, but Lena, Aidan, and Emilia are my children so I'd like a tag for them.

Y’all ever heard of epigenetics?

Okay, mildly (though some not) angsty parent!Darlin and parent!Sam headcanons for what their kid would be like (focusing on ages 15-19)

So; for starters, the name I chose for my lil guy, the son of Sam and Darlin, is Samuel Jr. Sylvester Collins-Barrera (Barrera being the last name I hc for my Darlin)

Also, my hc for Darlin is that they’re half or fully Mexican and can speak Spanish fluently

Gonna start off with average character stuff

- Everyone his age calls him Samuel, some of the older pack call him Junior, to differentiate from his father

- He’s fluent in Spanish, lies about it though to take a Spanish class to breeze through a couple credits for high school

- Now, this one depends on what mood I’m in, but he’s either a Freelancer or a Shifter before he gets turned (more on that later), orrr if I’m feeling real funky and wanna ignore some canon lore I make him a bit of a hybrid, able to shift but quite adept at freelancer magics

- Him and Darlin’ spar, so his combat ability is honed to the point of them being evenly matched by the time he’s 19, but he can never quite defeat them in a match

- When he gains access to his magic at 13, Sam teaches him some small magic, and starts teaching him healing, which he picks up quickly

- Eventually specializes in healing, with a minor in illusions and dabbles in elemental magic at D.A.M.N. (This is in the further future though so this isn’t in a timeline order or anything)

- He shifts accidentally for the first time at home with Sam, 3 days after the solstice, not a very fun experience :(, and Darlin isn’t home, so Sam kinda freaks out cuz he doesn’t know what to do

- Not going to discuss the other pack kid headcanons here much (different post perhaps?) but basically, David has a son, and Samuel (the kid I’m talking about in this post) has a crush on him (him being the son of David)

- Vivienne, Vincent’s daughter, and him are very close, both being kids of clan-less vampire parents, so they can relate to each other the most

- He’s just as much of a vigilante as Darlin was, which makes his parents very worried, but he can heal himself, and use magic, helping him be better off in fights

Okay, now for the angst!! Yay :D

- He and David argue a lot about his reckless actions, leading him to distance himself from David and act similarly to how Darlin did, albeit relying on the general pack much more

- This one requires a small explanation; in my headcanon of how kids of vampires work (since they kinda can’t reproduce in canon etc idk it’s weird), they still inherit the current blood of their vampire parent, as well as their parents original blood (I did take a bio class so ik it would prob be only their old blood bc of genes and gametes but it’s cooler this way lol), and if their parent’s blood is from a very strong old-blood, it can affect the child adversely when they reach the age of unlocking their magic

- Sooooo because Samuel Jr. has Solaire blood, he’s turned by his own blood trying to take over the rest of his body when he’s 15, and basically dies!! Coming back as a vampire ofc

- And this is massively depressing for Sam, like majorly,, because as his son dies in his arms he tries his best to heal him and fails, not to mention he’s now the reason his son has lost the same freedoms Sam did many years ago :(

- In my headcanon of how this works with being turned early and stuff I think Samuel Jr. continues to age until he’s physically about 19 ish

- Ofc Samuel is bitter asf and says some super vitriolic stuff to Sam, temporarily severely harming their relationship, though they make up afterwards

- While in bloodlust, Sam and Darlin try bringing him to pack stuff still, but he’s a danger to non-vampires, making things difficult

- David eventually starts to get protective of the pack, seeing him as a possible threat (does it get dehumanizing? Yeah a little bit) but David’s son doesn’t care, and hangs around Samuel even though it’s dangerous, letting him drink his blood

- At one pack event David can’t find Samuel or his son and gets a bit panicky, even though he tries to hide it, and gets Sam, eventually they find them both, David’s son (who is the same age as Samuel, my guy ain’t feeding on a child dw 🥲) sitting on a bed playing a game on his phone, with Samuel calmly drinking from his wrist

- David is confused and a little frustrated, but his son explains that Samuel still has enough control, and that just because he’s been turned doesn’t mean he should be outcasted even during bloodlust (though he’s a little bit wrong because Samuel really is a danger but yk,, it’s ok Samuel is trying really hard to be careful around him bc he still has the crush from when they were kids)

- David cares about Samuel I promise 🥲 but he’s very concerned for the general well-being of the pack

- Samuel, being a stubborn guy just like both his parents, refuses to accept that he’s a vampire and is unable to enter sunlight and does some.. very reckless experiments, essentially running into sunlight at pack gatherings when no one’s looking and having to be dragged back by one of the nearby shifters

- Eventually he finds a weird way to alter his own core with a lot of magic, but he’s not really altering it, it’s more like his core never fully changed because he only had >49% Solaire blood so it didn’t have full effect (that does mean Vincent’s daughter got fully turned though 😔) so he can oddly change between forms, still having many disadvantages ofc (mary sue? Nooooooooo why would I do that :3 I just like multi-faceted powerful folks yeeeup) like sensitivity to sunlight, and a hard limit on how long he can retain his humanity (he can seem totally human / a shifter / a freelancer for about 2 hours until his hold on the magic keeping his core the right way slips)

- So once he’s around 17 he’s got a good hold on his magic, having reaccessed it after his experiments when he was 16 ish

- ..this does mean he’s a pretty crazy fighter now after a while of practice

Nowwwww who remembers me mentioning epigenetics way at the beginning of this lol (I promise I’m almost done but he’s my favourite redacted oc 😞)

- Fair warning this may imply that Darlin has the ability to birth so erm if that isn’t your cup of tea that’s totally okay and you can ignore this bit

- Basically Darlin’s epigenetics are passed onto him, and he has some major mental baggage because of it, being far more prone to mental health problems :(

- He also copes very unhealthily with his problems by drinking, so much so that he swears off alcohol and stays sober when he’s only 20 and still can’t drink legally (in the US at least) :((

More Cars OCs and Headcanon:

More Doc family headcanon for a fanfic I'm working on.

This time we're gonna focus on his parents.

I use the terms "sire" and "dam" to refer to a vehicle's bio-technological parents. In Doc's era, and before, it was almost always assumed that you meant sire and dam when using words like father/mother to describe another vehicle. In Lightning's era...not so much.

Also, in my HC, cars reach physical maturity at age eleven, after they have their final growth spurt. Only after this point in their lives are they able to reproduce, and it was very common for cars in Doc's day, especially lady cars, to get married and start families at that age. It is also the age where you can legally drink, live independent of your parents, own property, run for public office, and work full-time somewhere other than a family-owned business...though in modern times it's more common for young cars to stay with their parents until their late teens or early twenties.

*NOTE* I'll do a separate post on vehicle reproduction and growth at some point in the future.

Doc's dam, Annette Elizabeth Longhauler nee Glenrunner (factory designation: CS621949346CU07221925 Cycle 9, Rotation 195, Batch 46A), was the youngest of three children sired by Otis James Glenrunner and Elizabeth Marie Glenrunner nee Owen. She had two older, twin brothers: Carl Samson Glenrunner and James Owen Glenrunner, and was manufactured on July 22nd, 1925 at the Cadillac Factory in Detroit, Michigan. She was modeled a in the likeness of an Old World, 1949 Cadillac Series 62 Sedanette.

Annette started learning internal combustion from her father at five, and by eleven she was regarded by many as the second best mechanic in Dawson county, a rare feat for a female car growing up in the twenties and thirties of Cycle 9.

At eleven, she married the youngest child of the Longhauler Family, an International Harvester Semi named Samuel. Despite Sam being on the road most of the year, they started trying for kids...but, no matter how many times they were intimate, they were unable to sire a flame together.

Diagnostic scans revealed nothing out of the ordinary with her reproductive hardware...meaning that Sam's siring cable was the likely culprit. However, when she attempted to bring the issue up to Sam and his parents, her in-laws accused her and her father of trying to discredit the Longhauler name...and began spreading rumors around town that Annette was barren. The constant harassment from her in-laws and the townsfolk eventually got to be too much...and she would attempt to take her own life. She would have been successful had an Oldsmobile named "Ghost" not used his own body to stop her.

Despite her injuries, Annette managed to push Ghost to her family's garage in Dawsonville, and once her own repairs were far enough along, she took over Ghost's repairs so that her father could better focus on running the garage. She would ultimately befriend Ghost and confide in him, and...much to her father's dismay, they would sire a flame together. Annette received instructions to travel to the Hudson Motors Factory in Detroit, and the plasma "flame" that she carried was used to manufacture a child whom she named Samuel James "Hudson" Longhauler Jr; "Hud" for short.

Annette raised Hud as best she could while still working 60+ hours/week at the garage. It was clear, early on, that he wasn't interested in being a mechanic...and that was fine with her; he was his own person, after all. After Hud ran away in '47, her depression got worse and was exacerbated by having to run the family garage and store after her father and brothers were arrested for making moonshine. She was aware of Hud's racing career, and she made a point to save every news article she could find, displaying them proudly on her cork-board at work.

Annette saw Hud's crash in '54, as the race had been televised, but his sponsor wouldn't divulge the name of the hospital that he had been sent to...and she could only wait for updates in the papers. She hoped that he'd call her at some point, but he never did, and his disappearance after the fact would be the start of an emotional and physical downturn, made worse by Sam's untimely death in '58. Her health never recovered, and she would pass in '59, just two days shy of her 34th birthday.

Personality-wise, Annette was intelligent, shrewd, hardworking, and stubborn. As time went on, she became more brusque, and bitter...but she did her best to tough it out if only to spare her father and brothers from having to worry about her.

Interesting Facts:

Her favorite genre of music was Jazz. She loved fixing and rebuilding engines, and she taught classes on basic engine repair at the local community center. Despite missing him terribly, she never blamed Hud for running away in '47...or for being distant during his racing career, knowing that he was more of a free spirit, like his Sire. Her and Sam's relationship strengthened greatly following the affair, once the social pressure of having a child had been absolved.

Doc's sire was the notorious, Kentucky whiskey-tripper Diesel "the Ghost" O'Twill (factory designation: OR881949C303CU09061922 Cycle 9, Rotation 111, Batch 2A). He was modeled in the likeness of an Old World, 1949 Oldsmobile 88 Rocket Coupe, and was manufactured on September 6th, 1922 at the Oldsmobile Factory in Detroit.

Born into a large family of moonshiners, he was forced to become a tripper at the tender age of seven, literally days after his engine finished growing. His parents cared little for his well-being, and would resort to physical violence any time he didn't instantly obey their orders. Their methods became more cruel with time, but Ghost kept running moonshine for them in order to protect his younger brother (Ivon) and cousin (Sean). In 35', Ghost, Ivon and Sean were almost killed during a routine drop off when the warehouse was raided by the ATF. While nursing their injuries in Morristown, word got out that no one survived the raid. Realizing that this was their one shot to get away from their family...they high-tailed it west, only stopping when they'd reached Atlanta.

Ivon and Sean would open up a restaurant in West End (O'Twill's Place). Ghost didn't much like the idea of settling down, and he would head south to Thomasville after hearing about a guy named Smokey who was recruiting scouts and trippers for Raymond Parkway's moonshine network. Ghost's speed, cunning, and off-road skills were unmatched, and he quickly became Smokey's go-to guy whenever Raymond needed product moved through high risk areas. He would eventually be placed in charge of a group of the best runners and scouts in the region, the aptly named "Still Chasers."

Years later, Ghost was sent on a solo mission to Dawsonville to look for something known only as the "Phantom Still," as Raymond wanted to recruit the owner to his network. He was unsuccessful. On the road back to Thomasville, he stopped a Cadillac (Annette) from committing suicide. They're both injured in the resulting collision, but Annette managed to push him to her family's garage in Dawsonville. While getting fixed up, they became friends, and eventually, Annette tells him about the problems that she was having with her husband and the almost constant, emotional abuse from her in-laws. Once his repairs were complete, Annette asked him if he would be willing to sire a child with her. He agreed...but only after he was 100% sure that Annette's rationale for doing so was more selfless than selfish.

Ghost would have no contact with Annette's family until 1947. While he and his crew were hiding from the ATF in the woods north of Dawsonville, a nine year year old Hudson Longhauler got embroiled in a sting operation meant for them. He gave Hud the option to go home, but the kid chose to follow him and his gang to Thomasville where they would run moonshine together until 1950. He and Hud mostly parted ways in 51' when the latter would begin racing for their mutual boss, Smokey. Ghost would continue running for Smokey until he was killed by the ATF in April of 54'.

Ghost was intelligent, cunning, charismatic...and a self-proclaimed "specialty ladies-man," being easily distracted by lovely, lady cars...but gentleman enough to not to see them as trophys to be won and discarded. He made a point to really get to know his potential partners, investing time and effort into individuals who really seemed to need help...and if they just happened to wind up in their garage at some point, great...but hooking up was always secondary to the emotional connection. He was very loyal to those he called friends, often helping them out in ways that they might not appreciate until years later.

Interesting Facts: He may or may not have had to eat an entire tractor while hiding from the ATF in the Knobs, an area in Kentucky known for its unusual, karst topography. He was somehow able to convince an ATF agent that he was female so that he could sneak a trunk of moonshine through a roadblock. He would Change into a metallic silver paint job with expensive whitewall tires whenever he was in Thomasville for R&R. He became best friends with Hud...and never figured out that that the younger car was his son. Other than Hud, he sired one other child with his scout, Cassie, though they kept it a secret from the rest of the team. He has a very thick, Appalachian accent (Inland South sub-dialect of Appalachian English).

Annette's husband, and the person that Doc thought was his father for most of his life, was Samuel Joseph Longhauler (factory designation: IHC1940KR11360CU11111925 Cycle 9, Rotation 134, Batch 3B). He was the youngest child sired to Spinney and Claire Longhauler. He was manufactured on November 11th, 1925, at the International Harvester Company Factory in Chicago, IL and is modeled after an Old World, 1941 KR-11 International Harvester Company Truck.

At the time he was manufactured, Sam was the largest truck born into the Longhauler family--larger, even, than his uncle Skids whom was an actual logging truck. After his seventh-year growth spurt, he was big and strong enough to haul full loads of corn and rye to Atlanta, and he was eventually coerced by his father to start hauling lumber. By ten he had managed to secure a lucrative contract with the US Railroad Commission, and was hauling lumber all over the southeast. At eleven, his parents arranged for him to marry Annette Glenrunner. Despite being lukewarm to the concepts of fatherhood and children, he and Annette knew that newly married vehicles were socially obligated to reproduce, so they would try every time he was in town. Two years and DOZENS of attempts later, they were still childless. Annette would eventually confront him with evidence suggesting that his siring cable may be at fault...and he would have believed her if not for his parents. They told him that Annette was barren, and he was too afraid of his father to argue. The next time he came home, Annette had a child with her... a child that she claimed was his. He had his doubts right from the start...but since his parents didn't question it, and Annette was happier than he'd ever seen her, he put the matter out of his mind and instead focused on trying to be a good father...despite the fact that he was on the road for much of Hud's childhood.

In '47, Hud got mixed up with a group of whiskey trippers. The ATF tore apart Dawsonville trying to find him...but they found Otis Glenrunner's still, instead. Otis, and his twin sons were arrested...leaving Annette to run Glenrunner's by herself. When Sam saw how much his wife was struggling, physically and emotionally, he quit his job to help her. His father was furious...but Sam stood up to him, earning Annette's respect in the process. This would eventually blossom forth into actual love, and despite all the hell that they were going through, their relationship prospered.

Personality wise, Sam was creative, timid and sensitive. He was much more at home in his uncle's study, studying and drawing maps, than hauling lumber. But the Longhaulers were a family of loggers and farmers, and hobbies like art were considered "idle work." His father would physically and verbally abuse him as a way of getting him to "truck up" any time his behavior "lapsed." By the time he was eight, he had developed such a pathological fear of his father that he took on work that he knew was too much for his body to handle, hoping to earn his father's respect...but it was never enough. Years of abuse, combined with the strain of forcing his body to haul loads that exceeded the recommended weight for his model, left him with deep emotional and physical scars that would make it difficult to form close bonds with people, and--unknown to him--sire children. Later in life, he would develop D.R.A.D, a degenerative disease effecting the bio-technology in his cab where it transitioned to the bio-mechanical and mechanical components of his rear axle. As time went on, the pain became so bad that he couldn't function without immense doses of medication, and he would choose to be humanely euthanized in June of '58 when his condition took a turn for the worse.

Interesting Facts:

He was the youngest of eleven children (he had eight brothers and two sisters...all of whom were various types of trucks). Out of everyone in his family, Sam was really only close to his uncle Skids, and when the latter died in a freak logging accident, he inherited his uncles entire estate...much to the chagrin of his father. He had a photographic memory, and knew the southern and eastern roads so well that he would be commissioned by the US government, off and on, to help plot routes for the Interstate Highway System.

Elliott's family...

Content warning: One-off mentions of homophobic/biphobic microaggressions, alcohol, abusive parents, child favoritism.

I came up with a short story that keeps getting longer about Elliott bringing his partner back to meet his parents (not necessarily by his choice) and confronting a lot of what he'd left behind. The refrain is "To be loved is to be changed," and also part of the resolution is Elliott and his partner totally have nasty revenge sex in his parent's old money country club.

Y'know, therapeutically.

Laurel - 36yo (older sister) - currently a lawyer/attorney in a large city not far from home. She's a very serious person, but not to the point of sternness or coldness. In contrast, she's actually very warm, especially to her siblings, but she's kindly ruthless in her pursuit of what she feels she should pursue. She and Elliott grew up rather close and Elliott idolized her a lot of his childhood, preferring her company over the company of other boys/kids because he felt he could be unabashedly himself around her. She still calls Elliott "Ellie" "Lelly" "Lellit" (Elliott as a toddler would say his name like "Lellit" because all his siblings names started with L so he thought his did too.)

...So anyway here's Elliott's family made for a story that I'll probably never actually get around to writing. "Spoilers" for the story and character growth are in the parentheses at the end for his parents. Also, no they don't have last names because that feels weird.

Loren - 34yo (older brother) - currently a stocks trader or something, but it's not his passion. He mainly does it to make money so he can indulge in his hobbies--traveling, and collecting calculators and typewriters. He has taken Elliott on some of his travels but he's a bit distant emotionally, very much someone who gets lost in his own head, but unlike Elliott, he doesn't really care to share it with others. There are moments of good connection between him and Elliott, but it's a lot of work to get those moments, so Elliott stopped trying to force it. As a kid, Loren was a typically older brother to him and antagonized him appropriately. Elliott was appropriately a younger brother to him when he wasn't dangling off of Laurel. As older siblings, they did share some commonalities that they bonded on, like sharing books, and he was a good listener for Elliott's story ideas.

Elliott - 32yo - as the middle child with two very successful older siblings, Elliott is often overlooked by his parents. There's no incredible pressure for him to be wealthy or successful, but that doesn't mean they aren't disappointed nonetheless. As a child, he was imaginative, creative, and loved to be the center of attention when he had a good story to tell. Otherwise, he was rather quiet. His mother likes to joke that Elliott was the "baby" of the family for 8 years and he's never once forgotten it, saying that he needs more coddling than most, as he was always so attached to his older sister, Laurel.

Samuel - 24yo (younger brother) - very much The Accident. Susannah tells everyone he dropped out of medical school to go practice field medicine in war torn Gotoro. In actuality, he's currently living off the family's fortunes (and Loren's kindness) "finding himself". Elliott's relationship with Samuel is a bit distant, mainly due to the age gap. Elliott is fond of his youngest brother and has fond memories with him, but it was always tainted by a perceptible difference with how he was treated vs. Elliott and the rest of the kids.

Susannah - mother - Motherly but outsourced much of the emotional work to servants. She does care for her children and wants the best for them, but like her husband, very much thinks that they can only be happy in the ways that she comes up for them. Her main style of communication is through double-entendres and snide, passive aggressive remarks. ie, if Elliott brings home a wife, she'll remark, "Oh Elliott, I knew you'd find the right girl to fix you right up!" (talking about his bi/gayness) Laurel followed Susannah's hopes for her, so Laurel is the golden child in her mind. Loren does well for himself and doesn't cause any trouble so he's another good egg. Elliott... well, she doesn't quite understand the path he's chosen. She thinks he's too in-his-own-head for his own good. She tells him to be more like Loren all the time directly, and indirectly reveres Laurel to him. (It's revealed that Killian barely supported her in her raising the kids, which was why she outsourced so much of their raising, because she couldn't handle it on her own and knew it wouldn't be good enough. She also comes around to accepting she doesn't understand Elliott's path in life AND that that's okay as long as he's happy and taken care of. She also says that she and Sir Killian have been seeing a marriage counselor (their "advising consultant") for years and she's so sorry she didn't do it sooner.)

Sir Killian - father - very hands off with the kids. Led by stern example, but not cruel, just not accepting of deviation from his expectations. One-on-one and in private, he can be very warm and caring, even jovial and soft. But there's a military history, one that he's not escaped and comes through in much of his interactions and the persona he puts off. "Sir" comes from that experience. He appears quietly disappointed all the time that none of his children took up the mantle of military service. (It is later revealed that he did not partake in childrearing or supporting Susannah in it because he knew the father he would be was not the father his kids deserved--his father was militant, alcoholic, abusive, etc. He shares that he regrets not even trying, but at the same time, sees how it was a benefit. He shares that he is actually relieved that none of his children went into military service and that his experience made him very anti-war, but coming out with those views would have excommunicated him from his family, and he felt he had to uphold that connection for fear of not being able to provide for his family.)

I don't really know if you meant this as in a ship/friendship way, but I just decided to go overboard and put effort in to explore their weird ass (gay) dynamic lmao

Kureha HCs:

Kureha speed-reads. It's a habit he developed in elementary school so he could spend more time protecting his brother, and it was a fantastic help during his studies to become a doctor.

This man has a flawless memory. You mentioned something to him three years ago about something you liked but it was out of stock? Guess what, he bought it at it's lowest price point and is now giving it to you on your birthday. Surprise!

His handwriting is the WORST for non-professional things. You got a prescription from him? Yeah, you can read that just fine! Patient charts? The most flawless writing you have ever seen. He left you a note on your computer? You think that says coffee, but it could also say chicken, so now you're confused.

Claims to be against workplace gossip and against participating until he gets home, because then he's telling you all about how Ayumi from the front desk is fucking the neurologist and his wife just hired a PI, but apparently she's been messing around with the janitor at her job.

He has favourite patients. Jack is simultaneously his favourite and least favourite patient, the man will just sit and let him do whatever he wants as long as it's in the name of improvement, but he's TERRIBLE at recovery. Kureha says "bedrest for three weeks with mild exercise", and Jack hears "Don't push yourself until the point of passing out for three days".

Speaking of patients, he absolutely takes meticulous notes. Is the patient being difficult and rude? Oh it's going on their chart in meticulous detail. They called him a name and refused to take their meds? It's on the chart in the most professional but still passive-aggressive way.

Jack HCs:

Uncannily good at math. If you ask him, offhandedly and as casually as possible for an answer to a math question, he'll almost instantly get you an answer, and most of the time it's either spot on or really close. Baki has tried to get Jack to answer the questions for his math homework before, and it took a while before Jack realised what was up.

He learned about Baki a while before he actually met him, but he still hasn't processed that he's an older brother, so occasionally Baki will call him brother super casually and Jack will just [dialup noises] for a solid minute until he remembers "oh right yeah, that's actually my little brother."

Forever tired and hungry, but determined enough to get away with a chronic lack of sleep for months on end until he finally crashes. Healthy? No. He knows it too, but he's got things to do, and sleep can wait until he's kicked his father's ass. If he keeps being such a strong favourite too, a nice comfortable mattress is in store for him.

He knows he can beat bears in a fight (as with most wild animals that he grew up knowing) but the problem is that he doesn't like bears, he grew up knowing that you don't mess with bears, because they'll ruin your day. He'll deal with them no problem, but he won't like it.

He doesn't wake up very fast at all, most of the time he just gains conscience like two hours after waking up and he's doing something. He's "woken" up before after having an hour long conversation with Tokugawa about his hometown after Father Samuel called him.

He sometimes (when he's very tired or just waking up) will forget just how big he is. He has slammed his head against doorframes many times. He will continue to do so most likely.

Jack and Kureha HCs:

Jack and Kureha as friends are two weird mfs. For starters, Jack is quiet and stoic, so most people that see him assume that he's either some sort of bodyguard for Kureha, or that he's annoyed by him. In reality, Jack's just a quiet person, and Kureha takes every chance to talk his ears off because he won't interrupt unless it's important.

Sometimes it's painfully aware just how much more experienced and educated Kureha is in everyday matters. Jack didn't even go to high school, and Kureha managed to become a practicing doctor. Jack isn't stupid by any means, but sometimes Kureha absolutely loses him because he's talking about something Jack hasn't ever learned about before.

While Kureha can go off about medical jargon to Jack and lose him after just about five minutes, Jack can just start talking about the, quite frankly weird shit that happens out in the Canadian wilderness near his home, and Kureha just doesn't have any idea how to process the fact that at least some of what Jack tells him is true and has happened within Jack's direct line of sight.

Jack and Kureha dating, however, is very different. They're such bitches to each-other because they're so in love that they're at the "I fucking hate you" stage of their relationship, but only when they're out in public. It's a lot of Jack cleaning up the absolute mess that is Kureha's apartment, and Kureha making a mess out of the apartment the second Jack steps out.

Kureha absolutely tries to pull a whole dominant/submissive thing, with Jack being submissive, but mans was legitimately too chill to really care and it ruined the whole thing for Kureha, who legitimately pouted for a whole week. Jack had no idea what he did wrong either, he thought that Kureha wanted to be dominant, so he submitted. He's not really one to fight for dominance, if he wants it he'll just take it.

Neither of them being able to cook for shit, other than Jack being uncannily good at breakfast foods, so they either eat pancakes at 6pm or they go out to eat. It means less dishes (usually) so Jack doesn't complain, since Kureha could never do those.

A lot of Kureha saying that Kosho is being annoying and Jack being like "That's nice, Baki's chill, an angel really. Anyways, do your parents want me to come over?" Just so he can flex on Kureha that his little brother is the better one.

she calls kon "squirt" no matter how much taller than her he gets. he's always her little guy. he's not her son, but they're family. she's pretty protective of him in a way that surprises even herself.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

the real reason she has so many different designs across different runs is that she's constantly pulling on disguises because she keeps getting banned from various premises for poking her nose in.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

she'd kill for clark. she knows it'd break his heart if she ever had to, but she also knows she would do it without regrets. even if he wouldn't want her to. she doesn't like to think about it, but she knows herself well enough to know that she would do it.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Cursed Harrison HC

Alright so I promised an explanation on how a view Harrison's magic. If you are interested keep reading down below

(Warning it's long and very much not canon by any means, yes this is what 6 years of nothing but thoughts have done)

Origins

Harrison's father who I have named Jonah was just like any teenager a know it all who knew nothing.

Jonah was your typical jock raised by heavily Christian parents in a small town. One day his rival Dallas (Nerris's Dad) was talking about an old temple out in the woods that supposedly was used to worship some kind of octopus deity. Jonah didn't believe him because the only thing that should be worship is God. Dallas had enough of his shit and challenged him to go to the temple and do the ritual, the teenage boy foolishly agreed. His first mistake.

The boy hoped on his yellow bike as the sun began to set, he headed into the woods. The temple stood tall, it loomed over him. He took the old book Dallas has gave him out of his bag and headed into the structure that was covered in moss. His second mistake.

He waited around till the moon was glaring down at him. It looked odd, was it always this blue?. Jonah shook it off it was just from being drowsy surely. He placed the book down on the alter as the moonlight hit this weird glowling rock and began to read the words. His Final Mistake.

Now he has cursed his entire bloodline till the end of time. He didn't realise it for years, but then his first born son was born, Harrison Samuel White.

How it effects Harrison

Let's start with the obvious. He has supernatural abilities that doesn't seem to have any true limit. Harrison can simply end the world with a click of his fingers if he desires.

Physically

He can't really feel his hands, from all the layers of burned skin and other magical injuries on his body. His body temperature depends on his mood, an example would be if he's scared, anxious, or worried his body will become cold and can form frost or ice. When he started puberty he started to grow these weird tattoo like symbols on his arms, chest and back.

Sleep Schedule

He doesn't really sleep during the night. Some 0f it is due to his curse in general, another factor is that the "demons" like to torment him at night with laughing, murmuring, humming, and whispering. Also nightmares about him starting Armageddon or relieving him and his twin brother's 9th birthday party, where everything went wrong.

Emotionally/Mentally

So he isn't exactly mentally well. He is coping with it but that's about it. When he was 13 to 15 he decided to lean into being a terrifying bringer of doom that wouldn't hesitate to threaten you with a flame being held to your face. 16 to 19 he began seeking validation by becoming a ladies man. General Anxiety and Depression because obviously..wouldn't you be if everyone told you that you're the rebirth of Satan and being haunted by creepy creatures everyday, while batteling the urge to burn the world to the ground. Also smokes weed with Nerris because Stoner Nerris owns my soul.

Family

His birth family threw him out the house at 16 because Jonah couldn't handle the guilt of the curse anymore, and Harrison was becoming more and more violent. Harrison wondered around till he found a familiar bus that took him to you guess it Camp Campbell. He hid in the attic till David came by for the summer. Long story short he moved with with David, Gwen, and Max. His twin brother (Tommy) wasn't his only biological sibling, Harrison has an older sister (Christina), younger sister(Eve), younger brother(Johnny) Harrison barely interacted with his younger siblings.

So, let's take a look at his kids I made up :3

Excuse my coloring, between the sketch in my sketchbook, and then making it digital. It took 2 hours, and the last thing I wanted to do was color

On the left, we start with Sarah James Rogers, about 16 in the photo. Usually dubbed "Sarah Jay" I will describe her as the responsible one that everyone should lead by except you shouldn't do that because her dad is Steve Rogers and you WILL get arrested.

Next up, there is Samuel Oliver Rogers. Peggy picked out the middle name, and Steve just doesn't like it because he's bitcy. He's about 15 in this photo. I would describe him as the guy who's quick to say "Let's order drinks" but can't handle his liquor

Then, we have Anthony Howard Rogers, Sam's twin brother. Steve calls him Tony. Only Steve can do that. If anyone else does that, Anthony will have a fit. I feel no need to describe him, but if you're wondering why his smile looks forced, it's because it is. (It is also a fued in the family where his red hair comes from)

Lastly, on the far right, we have Natasha Margret Rogers, dubbed little Nat. She's around 5 in this photo, and like most things in Steve's life, wasn't properly planned (I'm sorry, that's mean. It's okay. I wasn't either.) I describe her as "Suspected to be a Loki varient"
