I improved my morning alarm
#It was just Heat of the Moment#but *now* it's Heat of the Moment + Dean#and I now will let it go off *solely* so I can fill in the dialogue as Sam XD#If I don't have it memorized after spending almost 40 minutes editing this together I'll be thoroughly dissapointed#If I wake up and its Tuesday again I'll be frusterated but also *religiously* hunting for Gabriel#I bet he was one of the guys who came into the pet store today#sorry I'm getting ahead of myself there lol#WAIT#nononono what if he's my boss#hear me out#ok so I was complaining about not being able to be a hunter because 90% of monsters don't even exist in this world#THE NEXT DAY I have my first shift at the pet store#and let me tell you: that place is HAUNTED#flickering lights; weird sounds; cold spots; objects moving on their own. All of it.#This might be a little crazy but if Gabriel was going to be impersonating *somebody* in my life rn it would be my boss#and if I wake up in a time loop then I already figured it out. I win. #and like. it kills me that. I had this whole fckn idea for a 5+1 recently for one of my north star ships#and I got the notes all done and had the ideas and even dialogue snippets and could see the scenes#but I just. could never make myself get farther than the notes. ever. I couldn't ever get to actually writing it. at all. ever.#and now I've been sick & bedridden for a literal week and I still haven't done ANYTHING with it#before I would have worked on it! I would have worked non stop! I literally cannot be out of bed for longer than 15 minutes#I would have written another 10 chapter idiots to lovers with a whole intricate plot to weave a romance around#that no one asked for#but now#nothing.#to be fair to myself tho I have been so sick I couldn't even activate my new giga pet#I had to quit playing sims cause I got so sick I couldn't go to my desk. the show I was looking forward to debuted and I can't watch it#cause I'm just fuckin dead. wanted to get the new t0mb raider re-release but I'm so sick I couldn't play it#but it's killing me that I can't make myself write. it is like. why won't you do this? you LIKE this? this was once ur fave hobby!#and I'm just also very tired of being confined to bed for a week and I'm going a little nutty can you tell???#erin explains it all

Leonard was a whizz at dialogue (he did some of my very favourite Dickens#adaptations in the previous decade‚ including the seminal 1967 BBC Great Expectations) and Bannen was a superb actor (Parry‚ who I know#much less well‚ holds her own against him i must say) so naturally this sparkles during their lengthy (and unashamedly stagey) conversation#however‚ the focus is so much on that dialogue that very little actually seems to be happening; inescapably this seems to be another case#of a minor plot padded out to meet the run time‚ a recurring issue with this series. but! a last minute (and well deployed) twist (or very#slight series of very small twists) saves this one. what Leonard has spent so long setting up‚ the very gradual sketching in of these#characters and their relationship‚ actually pays off‚ and in an appropriately (to this specific genre of tv anyway) nasty way#he really does stretch it as far as he can before providing that catharsis tho‚ testing the patience of an idle tv viewer (i wouldn't be at#all surprised if some 70s viewers had just flicked over to the BBC before the play ended). but i appreciate a slow burn‚ particularly when#it wraps up this neatly and this satisfyingly. a play that is definitely made in its final moments and which rewards the dedicated viewer#even the title‚ at first seemingly plucked at random from lines in the first act‚ takes on a very different and very sinister meaning

The evil slow creep of it being like "haha these will just be quick little side quests, not much effort at all!" and then noticing each one is getting progressively longer than the last, thus no longer being minimal effort.. auGh....
#The jump of 76 for the first one to 275 for the most recent ghghjb#what can I say.. I am.. The Elaborator.. The Detail Giver..#number six will HAVE to be shorter....!!!!!! !!!!#I fear it's going to look this way but opposite with some of the main character quests. The first character I ever worked on. like their#first quest I added wayy to much information and detail and side options and etc.#Once I got done with all their stuff I was like.... if they're all like this I will NEVER finish.. So then I tried to be very short about#it all. EVERY single interaction cannot have 10 branching dialogue and 5 different endings and blah blah blah.. as much as I wish it could.#Hiring a butler to stand over me all day shouting ''NARROW the scope!!!! REDUCE the options!!! CUT the dialogue!!!'' whilst I sob#and hit backspace on everything once every five minutes#But that means probably the first character I worked on will be very obvious because their quests might have a different#feel than the others and be longer.. I just CAN'T make ALL of them that long. but maybe I could choose one..#Like out of the four characters that will have full quests for them upon release.. maybe I can add another one thats long so at least#TWO of them have weirdly long quests and the one first character doesnt seem so singled out lol#I hear this happens in real life professional games as well (like people complaining that X character doesnt have as much#content in an RPG as some other one does. etc.) so.. perhaps my fears about everyting not being exactlyliterally equal#are not even that worrisome or something that's a major factor. Still lol#It's not really that concerning to me anyways from a 'how will people react to it' perspective (very niche game. hardly anyone#will play it i'd assume. its not like thousands of people shall desscend upon me to criticize even if something was weird like that.#it'd be like. out of the 25 people who ever play it. maybe one of them is like 'yeah it was kinda weird that thosequests were so much#longer than the others. but idk' and that's the extent lol). My concern is more like.. Writing time..#the more I add. the longer it takes for me to finish. So if I keep ednlessly making things forever longer and longer. then it becomes The#Forever Project. which it kind of already is. considering I started it in 2018 and then forgot about it for the most part of 5 years and am#only resuming it now LOL.. I cannot bear to add MORE forever onto that which already is quite Forever-ish#If I wrote everything the ideal way I wish it were then I would either need a full team of writers. or I would finish the game in 2085#so.. alas.. cut cut snip snip..#ANYWAY lol

A lot of what people argue about on here is so totally divorced from the reality of being trans that it's like, kinda funny. Idk man I've had friends of a different flavor of transgender say kinda off-key things to me and like, sorry but there's always been so many much bigger obstacles in terms of being trans that those comments do not really register as serious issues. Like it does suck when ppl within your own community act like shitheads, but people seem to approach that with basically zero compassion and a scorched earth kind of mindset. Unproductive.
#Like it's one thing to take this kind of approach towards extremist hateful sorts of ideology#But do ppl really think that those within our own community r so far gone that kindness is pointless??#Like when you act as combative and dismissive as possible towards what someone is saying they will shrimply not listen#But everyone on here is obsessed with scoring Dunks and not like having useful dialogue so whatever#Everybody remember that we're all transgender for a minute maybe.
