I was watching Shadow and Bone (for the 11th time) and you can't tell me that this isn't Azriel and Elain in the bonus chapter (gif by @thefaultinourforcebond )

And once they finally kiss/get to be together (fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻), I just know it'll start gentle but it'll soon become heated and passionate because they've repressed their feelings for so long.

And then Azriel will never have enough of Elain and like a starved man he will always steal one more kiss before leaving her.

Some Miscellaneous WIP Snippets

I felt like posting some snippets of what I’ve been working on now that Night Of The Blue Moon is out, so I’m doing that today. I’m currently trying to work on Blood On A Yellow Rose and Night Of The Justified Deaths (The sequel to Night Of The Blue Moon) at the same time, while also experimenting with a prequel for The Tengu And The Angel, so that’s what you guys are getting today. Without further ado, a snippet from Blood On A Yellow Rose:

I look at her like she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. “How could I? It’s been twenty years since I last sang in public,” I sigh, “And besides, what record label would sign me? Everyone’s into pop nowadays. Who’s going to give a record deal to someone like me, whose music style is 2000s punk? I’m outdated.”

“My music style was 2000s punk, and I got a record deal,” she shoots back, “I could help you.”

And now, a snippet from Night Of The Justified Deaths:

“What kind of supervillain would use their own surname as their secret identity?”

“A really stupid one, as in, stupid enough to pick a fight with the literal gods of death.”

And lastly, a snippet from my as of yet untitled prequel for The Tengu And The Angel:

“Theo, we’ve spent all day unpacking, and I’m exhausted, can we not do this right now?”

“Aww, c’mon, babe, I wanna blow off some steam,” he purred, reaching for the waistband of his pants, “Just gimme a quickie, ok?”

As someone who has been in both acotar and sab fandoms, I can't help but notice the similarities in the way both Feyre and Alina are treated by the pro-tamlin and pro darkling fandoms.

For example, you'll see the words “delusional” and “unreliable” used to describe both of them very often in the pro tamlin and pro darkling circles. Feyre's trauma due to Tamlin's treatment of her in MaF getting dismissed by his stans who do that by calling her an “unreliable narrator” reminds me of the hardcore darkling stans who call Alina “delusional” and one comment, even said that “she probably gaslit herself into believing that it was Mal” just because they don't want to admit that the Darkling appeared to Alina disguised as Mal and that IS a fucked up thing to do! Same way Tamlin stans refuse to admit that it was cruel and incredibly selfish of him to force Feyre to pretend that nothing wrong ever happened and be a perfect obedient doll just for the sake of his mental peace while never caring about how all of this was suffocating her inside.

Yes, I know Tamlin and Darkling are very different characters and serve different purposes in the story but the main point of my post stands and i.e: both of them are Feyre and Alina's abusers. Which is why their stans try so hard to infantilize these female characters, by constantly pushing the “oh she's too stupid and dumb to know better hahaa! look! she is throwing a tantrum” just so they can invalidate their experiences and reactions to their abuse and make their objectively horrible favourite male character, look less horrible. It's very intentional and manipulative and proves how some people are hopeless and addicted to riding a dick. Even if the dick isn't real. It's pathetic really.
