Thoughts on Innerworlds:

They’re not physical locations that system members actually live & walk around in, but the brain may make them perceive it that way.

When we front, we can “remember” what happened in our innerworld while we were there. Since we share a brain, we all have the same “storyline” there, which has created consistent “memories” from within our innerworld over the years.

We’ve had things happen there that have helped us process & recover from things that happened in the outerworld. (It’s why it’s used as a therapeutic technique.)

There’s a fine line with it. It’s possible to rely too heavily on the innerworld to escape the stress of this life, which, for many CDD systems, was the only way they could survive. Once it’s safe to do so, it is important to draw up a healthy distinction between innerworld reality and physical reality. But, on the other hand, entirely denying the legitimacy of innerworld events can greatly hinder healing.

Oftentimes, innerworld happenings are metaphorical. They occur because there’s something the brain/system needs to work through. For example, a “physical fight” occurring within the innerworld may represent clashing morals between two system members, and signify that the misalignment needs to be addressed.

So, are innerworlds “real”? Maybe not in the way the walls of my house are, but it’s real in that it’s a significant part of how my brain functions. To deny that reality entirely is to deny the very thoughts in my head, simply because I can’t touch them & other’s can’t see them.

I am decently new to not being a christian and practicing witchcraft. I started about 5 years ago. My main practice is Deity channeling, and because of that i have a bit of personal knowledge of different deities. I am open to simple questions, but if you are looking for a more in-depth answer or would like to request a channeling, feel free to join us on discord and put in a request! Do keep in mind that it takes a lot of energy from me and there is no guarantee that the requested deity will agree to be channeled.

I worship Egyptian deities, but am very familiar with some from different pantheons as well! Thanks to dumb mental health though i don’t really do any work with deities, but hopefully soon i can start! Its a goal of mine to not only be more involved with this and the discord but also with my deities and craft.

I am a trans man with PCOS, PDD, DPDR, and ADD and i am open to talking about any of it! I do go through periods though where I’ve essentially fallen off the face of the earth so please bare with me if I’ve been MIA for a while! When I return I will always go through things that have been directed towards me and respond accordingly. I also only sleep about four hours at a time so when i am active will more than likely vary.

the way the leverage team make a mess of nate’s apartment on multiple occasions is so much funnier when you consider that none of them are particularly messy people. in the pilot, hardison has a very nice apartment that he is clearly proud of & has kept very tidy. parker’s warehouse is almost disturbingly neat, her tools and weapons are kept clean & shiny and are laid out in perfect rows, her bed is made, her clothes and rappelling gear is hung up. eliot likes things done properly and certainly at least cares for his car’s cleanliness. idk about sophie, but she would at least know how to act neat for a grift, and she’d be aware of how a guest to supposed to treat their host’s home.

but they all put unwashed dishes in nate’s sink, do spur of the moment renovations, set up new gear in his living room, leave clothes/costumes, plans & random items strewn about the place, and even tear up his stuff without fixing it. i love it. his apartment is their playground. they half live here now. nate just needs to chill out and let them saw into his walls, geez calm downnnn. i know nate’s eye was twitching when he saw that parker’s warehouse was so perfect meanwhile there’s probably 5 bowls of unfinished cereal hidden in his house like a damn look-and-find puzzle

I have this headcanon of the nephilim being nocturnal beings by nature due to their line of work hence their nicknames being "Shadowhunters" and whenever they are seen out in the day by other downworlders they never help their own case or image because 9 out of 10 times they were probably on call and pulled out of bed to deal with an issue at 11am after only 3 hours of sleep and were equally grumpy and the sun hurt their eyes.

And when Magnus and Alec started dating, even though Magnus was a morning person, he adapted to having a little raccoon slinking into their bedroom in the early hours of the morning and not long after bought blackout curtains and spelled the room to be noise cancelling (multi-beneficial) as to not disturb his sleeping partner once he had gotten up and ready for the day.

But it also led to a lot of morning cuddles, the fruit basket in the kitchen consistently being filled with unlimited oranges, and clients seeing a tattooed man half awake with bed hair sipping on coffee in the living room at 4 in the afternoon on their way out of the loft.

Theo being taken by the Dread Doctors for the sole purpose of isolated experimentation, speaking to him only in French for 10 years to isolate him further. When Scott’s pack unexpectedly finds and rescues him, he has no understanding of pack dynamics, affection or how to communicate what’s been done to him over the years. How could he even begin to heal from all the trauma when the world looks so vastly different as an 18 year old than it did as an 8 year old?

I feel like Parker could get really into cryptography. Both in general but also specifically in a conspiracy theory ‘there are hidden messages in everything’ kind of way.

We’ve already seen her fall for conspiracy theories (The Three Days of the Hunter Job) and she loves puzzles, so I feel like it isn’t too far of a leap for her to start analyzing every message for secrets.

Also, considering Archie was a Classic Gentleman Thief ™️ I feel like he had to have taught her some old school spy hidden message stuff.

It isn’t really a problem until she starts using code in everything she says - in text or in person. A changing code that the others have to Hack in order to figure out what she wants.

Okay, one more OT3-focused rambling post before I jump into S3.

I got to thinking about the dynamics and the ways each of their "love languages" is expressed thus far because it's really quite fascinating. I mean, not only do we have the dynamic combination of Nice Normal Guy (relatively speaking, of course), Not So Nice Not So Normal Guy, and Very Strange Girl, we also have the individual dynamics of:

Nice Normal Guy + Very Strange Girl

Not So Nice Not So Normal Guy + Very Strange Girl

Hardison, as our Nice Normal Guy, naturally tries to express affection to the other two the way any Nice Normal Guy would. And sometimes it lands, but other times... it doesn't. He's in many ways quite extraordinary, but when it comes to being emotionally stable, properly socialized, and trauma-free, I feel like he's been handed the best cards out of the three.

Parker, our beloved Very Strange Girl, is full-on cat-coded on the other hand, so at this point, I feel like the best she knows how to do when it comes to Hardison is try not to run away from a scenario and feelings that are new and unfamiliar to her as a means to express her willingness to give him a chance. And he might not realize it yet, but it's actually big. Very big. Just by sticking around and not shutting down his tentative attempts to court her, she's saying "I like you and I want to try".

And like I said, it's easier with Eliot. Eliot is not Normal™ either, not really. Eliot is Safe. Eliot doesn't have vaguely terrifying expectations. So she will sit on his armrest, and lean on him and poke and jab at him, to let him know she finds him safe and knows he would never hurt her even if she pushes his boundaries.

And because Eliot is also a little bit cat-coded, he does get it. So he allows her into his personal bubble -- and even carefully invades hers right back -- to in turn let her know that he wants her to feel safe and that he likes it that she finds him safe. (Plus, you know, as there's clearly some level of mutual attraction involved, close contact feels nice.) Of course, since Eliot as a polyglot is also able to express this with words... he does: not only does he find a way to verbally say "I would do anything for you" once, but twice. The earnest offer to kill Rand for her is of course the big one, but I keep thinking of "Parker made me do it". You know?

Manly Emotionally Constipated Bro-ness (and late 00's toxic masculinity-laden cultural mores) demands such things to remain unexpressed verbally between two Bros, though, so for now at least Eliot will let his actions speak for him when it comes to Hardison. He'll bitch, he'll grumble, he'll bicker, he'll vehemently deny any mushy feelings (again, "Parker made me do it"), but he'll be there. Hardison's a dude, right? He'll get it.

(...Poor Hardison.)

Anyway, I probably didn't say anything that hasn't been said before a thousand times by now, but eh. Onwards!
