Not to sound like a boomer, but Y’know how kids today are obsessed with sensory toys? Was that the case in say the early oughts? Cause I’ve got a theory that the increasing use cell phones and touch screen devices among children younger and younger may have led to this.

It could also be my autism and sensory issues, but my neurotypical brother didn’t exhibit the behavior of actively seeking out haptic-sensory enrichment.
