If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the process you go through to shade? How do you make it look so textured?

HELLO ANON!!! I'VE MADE MY LATEST PIECE FOR THIS SPECIFICALLY!!! I'm glad u asked... I love sharing my process because it makes me feel like a smartass 💀 I LIKE SHARING THINGS OKAY!!! IM A YAPPER!!! Now, click on keep reading for the shading process of THIS thing 👇

1st is the base colors, I normally color pick from their references and just adjust the settings of the pallete, but you can also just color them however you like :P for this, I wanted a good balance of yellow and blue, so I put a yellow filter by using darken. My advice for 1st step color adjusting is that you should play with the blending modes alot. The ones I use the most are lighten (if you want it to become more pastel or soft) and darken (if you want a more dull atmosphere or are planning to add alot of bright highlights anyway) so yeah!! flat/base colors!!!

2nd is first layer shading, aka the shadows themselves. Recently, I've guided myself with the direction of shading using the red sun as to figure out where the highlights or light sources would be, and the blue moon for where the shadows should be headed or inbetween. As you can see the sun is both at the top and bottom, which means the shading will be focused in the middle and shouldn't look too strong due to alot of light heading towards it!

3rd is the one I like doing the most, which is having reflective light off of shadows. It's basically light inside of the shadows due to some sort of light bouncing off of a nearby surface. Since the light here is blue, I used blue for the reflective light too. It's the one I use the most, but it can vary for what color the nearby surface is. For this step I use the blending mode hue almost always, but for this I used color since it wasn't visible on Shadow Milks shading before

4th isss highlights or lighting! As I've said, 2 light sources, so I kept in mind the one above and the one below, though the one below is more stronger than the one above. This step is pretty simple, just add thin highlights for where you've already marked the light to move to. Yipee!!!

5th and last is the overall piece adjustment and texture addition :P The thing that makes my art look more textured is this metal image thing from ibispaint's gallery, and sometimes the noise effect if this one doesn't really fit the piece. Again, I play with blending modes for everything to work! The second image displays me adjusting the colors using an effect rather than manually, this makes me have more control with the pallete and its vibrancy, that's why it begins to seem more green and desaturated than what I've shown from this point!!!

Aanndd voilà! That's how I do it!!! I switch it up ALOT of times, I change and experiment with shading styles a ton, but this one has stuck the most and is the one I've been using recently! I hoped this helped some people or just gave them a fun thing to read and learn about. If you guys want the brushes I use then I'll probably share them if there's an ask for it! bye bye :]

I Think There's Been a Glitch

GUYS I just realized sth crazy while watching this tiktok….I think the reason Taylor has red hair in so many mvs is bc it’s a play on the term RED HERRING. Red HAIR(RING). TTPD itself was a red herring and ends w the manuscript which is basically just the all too well short film (from RED TV) which she has red hair in. The glitches. Error 321. IT'S A CLOCK, IT CAN HELP YOU TELL TIME. She literally told us her entire plan all the way back in 2022. If the midnights vinyls make a clock that counts down to midnight then we’ve officially reached the “blood moon glitch” stage. I'm assuming 1, 2, 3 error/TPD (if you reverse the website glitch) was the moonstone vinyl so now we're at 4, 5, 6 the blood moon vinyl. The Jan 4 🫚 message tells us that we should be counting from 1-10 and not backward. And this means the final act ends in October AKA Halloween AKA pumpkin anon. "Frivolous, tenfold, 3 desires And until the clock strikes midnight Light the ground with fires." Seeing how each vinyl is a quarter of the clock and TTPD (the glitch/red blood moon/red herring) was released in April, I think it's safe to assume each quarter represents 1/4 of a year or 3 months. Which means 2025 or New Year's Day would be Midnight. So perhaps a kaylor reunion in Oct and an official coming out around Dec-Jan. This aligns w another interesting anon message we received abt New Year's Day being when an atomic bomb would go off (volcano anon?). •Optimus had no idea that werewolves even existed before you told him you were one

•When you first transformed in front of him, he was mostly just curious, he gave you a little pet, very carefully

•You quite enjoy getting some scratches behind your ears and Optimus thinks you’re very adorable

•Being the former archivist he is, he of course wants to do some research to know more about werewolves

•He ends up getting his information from some questionable sources aka some fanfiction and “mythology” sites, but a lot of the information seems contradictory, or just different depending on the source

•So when he comes to you with some questions, you have to correct him a lot

•He asks about the whole “alpha, beta, omega” thing, and he’s got it very, very wrong

•You tell him that, alphas are pack leaders, betas are the second in command and omegas are lone wolves without a pack, but it has absolutely nothing to with the fictional sex thing that fanfiction is about

•Optimus was pretty skeptical about that to begin with, but he wanted to make sure so he asked you

•You really love running in the woods, and you sometimes go with Optimus on scouting missions or patrol

•Your sense of smell is as good in your human form as it is in your wolf form, so you’re a great tracker

•You’d think there’d be some sort of limit on how weird things can get but apparently that’s not the case

•You keep revealing new sides of yourself to him, and he discovers more about you every day, but usually the things aren’t as big as you being a werewolf but still

•He doesn’t have a ton of questions, mostly just if there’s anything he needs to know in connection to your health or safety

•His first concern is if your transformation and if it hurts

•He does learn from Miko that werewolves are supposed to only turn on full moons and be aggressive during that time

•He of course sees that this is not correct, when you transform in the middle of the day

•Also the aggressive thing doesn’t seem to apply either, which Ratchet is just glad about, because he would rather not quarantine you every full moon

•The werewolf thing doesn’t bother him, he’s just worried about the fact that your internal body temperature is so high

•Of course it’s natural for you but he still thinks it’s odd, but he just accepts it as another one of your nonhuman features

•In your wolf form you’re a very big, fast and also fluffy, and you’re protective of your family, which is the autobots and the kids

•You’re always looking after the trouble trio of Miko, Raf and Jack and you’re very good at it

•You can always smell the cons a mile away, so you know to keep the kids away from them

Wish there were more people like you who were open to exploring dynamics between two characters in an alternate universe where they are not bound by familial relationship/title or whatever it's called. I get it tsams/tlaes have a lot of family things going on and a-specs things but eh what do I expect from a fandom that started the hate on sunxmoon shippers? I'll continue shipping sunxmoon, eclipsexsun, solarxmoon and solarxearth(thanks to that one anon from before for introducing me to this) not as family related, and the fandom can suck it

On a side note, I know the VA for Earth, Aka: Kat has been very "ship and let ship" with the fandom. And I think that's why in the Solar therapy session, she clarified that she knows Solar isn't biologically related. Technically none of them are, she just wants to consider him part of the family.

I remember awhile back the fandom was so hostile to people who saw Lunar as an adult and would draw him in adult situations. (Like taxes/half joking you know what I mean)

And I believe that was the last big drama the actors like Davis was directly involved in before he took a step back from that and told the fandom to sort it out themselves. And I really don't blame him. There are people who are crazy and just feel entitled to things.

And in more recent episodes, Lunar has stated more frequently that he is an adult animatronic of sound mind who can make his own decisions, so that they can put that issue to bed with the discourse.

(I personally think that gen1/2 Lunar was very much a kid psychology and through the course of the course of the show, and due to his experiences and truama he grows up in two years and he's a young adult now. This reflects in every time he has a model change or appearance.)

See this is what I mean when I say they are robots. Robots can grow up from 13 to 24 (approximately) in the span of two years. Robots can change their mind about family dynamics and say "you know what I think that i don't feel like a cousin, as what I feel for Moon is more intense then familiar bonds. So I change my mind." And this is allowed. This is allowed. Like I would not think this way about human characters.

People in the transformers fandom are really familiar with this concept as well. At least the few people I talk to from an outsider perspective. The transformers robots change their relationships in canon to eachother all the time from what I hear.

And yes. I know tsams is focused on themes of family and found family and togetherness. Like I'm not media illiterate. I know what one of the themes are. For some reason, people think I don't know tsams is about family.

Like bruh.

This whole show took two years for them to build the family and support network they all have with eachother when before the show was a toxic family relationship with Sun and Moon only. And I think it's beautiful how it evolved and how many characters there are and how big the family is now!

It's great!

And I do separate in my brain what's going on in canon and what's going on in my shipping brain.

This doesn't mean I can have fun on the side. With silly speculations and silly headcanons.

So they're either enemies, strangers, they killed eachother, or something else.

They only are brothers after their canon event of separating and agreeing to work together. So there are some universes where that never happened.

Not a batcest shipper but your brudick propaganda helped me understand the context behind how these characters were written and how real life affected their characterizations. I don't think I can ever become a batcest shipper, I find the idea of Bruce and dick being brothers who's relationship is constantly evolving but always having that foundation of trust and deep understanding far too interesting, but I do understand why some ppl are. I find it interesting how fandom tries so hard sanitise and arrange relationships and dynamics into neat little easily digestible boxes and in the process of doing so we sometimes strip the most interesting parts of these characters

Ppl are taking these polls a tad bit too seriously and I feel like ppl just need to learn how to block, move on and not actively try to consume things that make them so upset. So 👍🏿

I totally respect not being a batcest shipper. everyone has their likes and dislikes. I really appreciate you listening to what I had to say though. even without shipping Brudick, I think it's important to understand the history behind it. if only to deeper your understanding of their bond (platonic or not) and just Batman comics in general.

it's not even just fandom that's trying to box the relationships into easy to understand categories. DC has really been pushing the Batfamily into those categories too. that's why, even if you hate batcest (not talking about you specifically) you should also be upset about the current state of found family in DC.

complex relationships like Bruce and Dick, (like you said they had a very interesting brotherly relationship,) that's being reduced to Bruce being Dick's dad and that's all. even if you always read them with parental undertones, which you definitely could, that was never all they were.

though fandom has been taking that and running with it and it makes it hard to have nuanced conversations about character dynamics. I mentioned Dick and Jason in one of my responses and like. part of their fun was that they were sorta brothers but they were also just two guys that had a mutual connection to a very important person in their lives. but now they're just brothers. that's all. Dick isn't allowed to have complex feelings about Jason, that's just his baby brother. that's all.

I love mama bird Dick, don't get me wrong, but he's not a character to just sit there and have no complex feelings about people. sometimes it feels like Dick is made of conflicted feelings.

wow this got out of hand. basically I am agreeing with you very hard. comic book characters are messy, let them be that way. they can still love each other and not be this perfect father/son dynamic. Dick doesn't need to call Dick dad for there to be a mutual understanding that Bruce did help raise him.

Error 404, Sea Dragon stopped working for a minute but then you try to regain your composure by telling Aelyx that he should feel lucky that you chose him but if he keeps talking then you could change your mind and find someone else.

Aelyx is proud when you get pregnant for the first time. He does not doubt that he is the father after all he knows that you always drink moon tea after sharing the marriage bed with Viserys. (You never tell him that you get the tea thanks to Larys, it's a little secret)

I can see Aelyx convincing you to name their first child Aegon, but at first, you are against it because it seems like an open statement to Rhaenyra's claim to the throne.

Now talking about Alicent marrying Daemon

Honestly, if Alicent gets engaged to Daemon, Sea Dragon would be so jealous😭😭 she would hate her because she always wanted Viserys to annul Daemon's marriage to Rhea so she could be with him. I honestly think the two would run away and get married in secret because I can't see Daemon agreeing to marry Alicent or letting Viserys have Sea Dragon

BUT assuming that in the end, Alicent does marry Daemon and Sea Dragon will marry Viserys. Rhaenyra would be furious with Alicent and Sea Dragon, she would be mean to them and they both suffer because they have just lost the princess's friendship so the pain, Rhaenyra's rejection, and their unhappy marriages end up uniting them. There is no other person who understands their situations better than the other. They had no choice, marriage stood in their way.

One day Sea Dragon and Alicent are in Alicent's chambers talking again about her marriage.

"I don't know what you're talking about," the daughter of the Hand denied, turning her face away from you to avoid continuing to see you. She felt her nerves increase when you grabbed her chin, making her look back into her eyes.

"You look at my lips too much so you must want to kiss me" you affirmed and smiled triumphantly as you saw her eyes rest on your lips again "But you are too much of a coward to do it, luckily for you, I am not."

Then you kiss her and Alicent can't continue denying that she loves you so she follows the kiss. At first, she moves her lips hesitantly but little by little she begins to gain confidence and deepens the kiss, feeling dizzy from the euphoria of knowing that you want her as much as she wants you.

Alicent never wants to stop kissing you. While she tastes your lips, she doesn't think about how ashamed her father would be of her, how the gods will punish her for committing such a sin. Nothing matters while she is in your arms.

But her bubble of happiness breaks the moment Daemon enters the chambers and sees the two of you with your hair in a mess and your naked bodies covered only by the sheets. Alicent is afraid, she can see the fury in her husband's eyes and she expects that at any moment he will come out to inform the entire castle of the betrayal they have just committed. She can already see how Viserys orders them both to be executed and she wants to cry. You notice her distress so you start caressing her leg before saying to Daemon:

"Do you want to join us?"

Alicent shouldn't be surprised to see how Daemon strides towards the bed and takes your face in his hands before kissing you as if he were a hungry man after all the only thing she and her husband had in common is they both want you.

wowie good morning. i just woke up. this is not an extensive list but:

in the aeroplane over the sea - by neutral milk hotel. beautiful album that makes extensive use of the singing saw. seen as kind of meme music due to it being popular with a certain kind of 4chan user but it speaks to the soul. its about love and its consequences... it makes my heart strings sing

benji by sun kil moon. sun kill moon aka mark kozelek or however u spell it is funny bcus despite being such a huge arsehole he makes amazing music. benji is a reflection upon his life in a way that much of his music is but really feels like it strikes at a greater sense of nostalgia than any of his other albums

fetch the boltcutters. fiona apple is an artist who words fail me for. visionary in idea and execution, it was rly hard to pick just one album from her. when the pawn... could easily be here too. the piano n her voice go together like the sun and light

rave tapes - so many evenings spent listening to this in my beautiful flat in glasgow. perfect ambience for a winter evening or an acid trip. i saw mogwai live and it was like an acid trip in of itself... i feel this one way be a 10/10 more for personal and nostalgic reasons but it truly is an amazing listen in a dark room w/ some candles n headphones

in rainbows - it was again hard to choose from radiohead's discography esp when they have so much range (fog again, worrywart, gagging order, idioteque, pakt like sardines, creep, etc) and in rainbows doesnt rly capture that range fully imo. but every track on this album is a masterpiece and it is overall their finest work. faves are all i need (first song i ever listened to while at sea), video tape, and go slowly (disk 2!).

masterpiece - oh my GOD how am i to describe big thief? how on earth do i convey to u the rawness... the humanity of this album. it is a collection of tales of troubled youth put forward in the most beautiful, whole, perfectly imperfect way. favourites are real love, paul, masterpiece (tho i prefer the solo version) and VEGAS. what a song vegas is. it is a hymn. it is my prayer.

twin fantasy- the 2011 version. a love story about obsession and loss. about finding your person, your rock, and finding them gone... about the grief and the pain and the agony that comes from that. about a young man screaming against god, against the world, against himself, at the injustice of it all. it is innocent.

the milk-eyed mender - joanna newsom's music brings something from beyond this world into this world and any attempt to articulate this will fall short. if you want to listen to what the music of the fair folk is like then go and listen. it is a shame to say so little about truly life-changing music but nothing can be said.

the money store- i love everything on death grip's discography (yes everything) but seeing them perform get got live on 2cb was PHENOMENAL. beware was a close second n rly exmilitary could be here.... but i feel the money store is a better album overall and is more cohesive n whole. it shows the wisdom of a life of animal instinct.

I've noticed that you only tag fundraiser posts sometimes which might be a reason why someone would bring it up, because they cannot actively avoid that content when it's combined with a blog that puts out some of the most important information someone could know (you seriously do such an amazing job educating people, it's admirable)

Hello completely random anon whose identity will forever be a mystery!

See, with the way you've phrased this, you've actually opened yourself up to a few options. I'll tell you a little bit about each one and you can tell me which one you want to learn more about first.

Currently unnamed G/T Alenoaheather

Definitely the most detailed AU of the bunch. It's got backstories and character arcs for each of the three. Probably the best way to describe it is Urban fantasy since none of them are (completely) human, but they pretty much live in a modern setting.

It does get dark at times. Think Beastars-adjacent in terms of vibes. Including the murder bits. But it's mostly self-defense or being forced into it, so take that as you will. I will say that it's nowhere near the levels of toxic relationships that something like the Sea Monster AU has. And they do actually improve as people. These three still get drama mind you, but it's from keeping secrets rather than being genuinely manipulative. ...Well. Too manipulative. It does have Alejandro and Heather in it. But it's got fluff moments because fluffy giant/tiny dynamics are precious and must be preserved at all costs.

It's got Alejandro who's a giant-shifter able to grow even larger than most other giant-shifters thank to his Burromuerto heritage. The Burromuertos are a completely upstanding giant-shifter family and definitely don't have any incredibly fucked up family traditions they expect Alejandro to continue.

Noah's a were-mongoose. Werefolk come in a large variety, though mongoose is on the far more uncommon side. Unlike most werefolk, this kid genius actually figured out a way to not completely give into his instincts during full moons. This has absolutely no negative repercussions on his wellbeing.

Heather who's a giant-shifter hybrid unable to grow thanks to her human heritage from her father's side. She's the only one of her siblings unable to grow. She definitely doesn't have a complex about this. But she has managed to find her own way of making herself just as much of a physical threat as her two boyfriends. (Aka the day I take away from Heather's inherent badassery is the day I die.)

Serial Killer AU

It's exactly what it sounds like. With exactly the vibes the name implies. Definitely the darker one. They're just a thriving villain throuple with a body count. It's also mostly Noah-focused so far as I haven't figured out Alejandro or Heather's motivations.

Noah stumbles across a body of a serial killer spree, only to be the first to realize that one serial killer is actually two. Curiosity leads him to investigate...but not for the reasons you'd think.

(For this one that's pretty much all I can share before just going into the whole AU)

Originally named The Lords In Black AU because it was originally inspired by me watching an animatic of The Summoning from Nerdy Prudes Must Die. Then it evolved into something far beyond that where the name doesn't seem quite right anymore.

It's got Alenoaheather as the worst teens at school and unashamed about it. ...Until Alejandro goes missing, and nobody else really seems to care. Leaving Heather and Noah to investigate and try their best not to be next.

They fail, but hey, at least they get cool eldritch powers out of it!

This AUs also dark because the premise is them being kidnapped to be used as sacrifices. And it's got plenty of eldritch horror in it. The posts for it are scattered because they ended up going into two separate reblog chains with @total-drama-brainrot and @ur-local-brown-multifandomist. If you look up 'lords in black au' on my blog you should be able to find most of it. I'm going to just centralize it for ease of organization one day. It'll just be. You know. Effort.

This one's a collab AU between me and @total-drama-brainrot, a person you have never met because you are a completely anonymous anon. Noah gets caught in between Heather and Alejandro's attempts to make the other jealous by each making him pretend to be their boyfriend. Shenanigans and drama ensue. The posts for this are also scattered and tagged on both our blogs, and one day we might make a fic about it. Lets tackle the questions one by one~ and no worries, ask all the questions you need to better understand the lore of this game. I get that this game does have SO MUCH lore u-u

What's the mc 's evol and how does it work? MC's Evol is a Anhaunsen Class, Resonance type. The way it works is that her Evol will essentially match with the person/thing MC is resonating with, and then amplify their/its powers! You can see it happening in Main Story - Under Deepspace Chapter 01-04 and 01-05, where MC amplified Xavier's Light Evol. Xavier also told MC to match fluctuations on a stone sculpture back in Chapter 03-06. Another instance is where MC resonated with Zayne to help keep his Ice Evol from going out of control, in the Main Story - Prologue To Tomorrow's Branch - Thorns Under The Moon.

What is an evol? Well, it's not really much explained in LADS itself yet (from what I recall). I think one of the loading screen tips mentioned something about Evol before but those are hard to catch ><;;; I also heard the universe is shared with another game from the same company - Love and Producer (aka Mr Love: Queen's Choice, MLQC for short). Personally I have yet to look much into that side of things, so I just treat it like one of those ideas where super powers that are granted to people at the moment;;;

About Astra Astra (iirc, appears only in Zayne's Foreseer Myth?) is a deity that Foreseer!Zayne serves, who in a sense also cursed Zayne as well. As described in his myth: "Under Astra's command may the Foreseer deliver His will, for that is his fate." - Philos: Tome of the Foreseer (Chapter 1 - Tower of Secrets) "The Almighty Astra bestowed His power unto him, ordering the Foreseer to act as an emissary for the divine." This opens up the idea of high beings that overlook the universe of LADS (not to mention with Sylus, there was also mentions of demons/devil) to which, we'll have to wait and see where the LADS writers go with it

Isobel and Shadowheart probably started as enemies then became friends eventually, and Shadowheart's parents are also selunite so i see them approving of this arrangement.

Maybe Reader and Shadowheart were together, then they saw Isobel and Dame Aylin and connected some dots. I see Isobel and Reader being the ones to suggest it to their partners, Aylin would be on board bc hell yeah both of you are cute selunite clerics that she collects like pokemon cards and Shadowheart has no problem with sharing.

Personally, if i was Shar, I'd never show my face again after fumbling the moon polycule bag.

Also, both Isobel and Shadowheart are half-elf, so their lifespan is similar. Aylin is Immortal and will be the one outliving them, Reader too. Tho depending on Reader's race they might be the last one to stay with Aylin.

2. How do the vigils do things like cooking and painting and making the canvases for that?

3. Do the vigils have holidays of any kind? Or particular celebrations they hold every so often? (Not necessarily once a year)

4. Last one: can you please tell me about the new code if there is a new one? I head "oakstars laws" but I don't really know what that means or anything else that's new lol

and ohh my goodness ive just realized i completely forgot to transport all my other supplementary stuff from the first draft to the blog when i made it!! i feel like a fool!! this project originally was just me an a few pals in a discord server just thinking of ideas, and i've just forgotten to transfer all the stuff??? will be doing that over the course of the week! wow!

1) I am working on a timeline post off-and-on! it sits right now just under 3k words, and I promise that it's worth the wait. just a little longer! maybe another month as a tentative deadline?

2) Cooking as a whole will be expanded upon in individual larger posts! The canvases made for art are made with wax, bug residue, vines and bracken, and eventually resin. The resin is an addition from the new Vigil of Sky when they arrive at the lake and introduce a lot of new materials from both the gorge and twolegplace. I think I'll have to make a larger post on how the art is made at some point, with the paints and such... we'll see...

3) I've made a few concepts for the calendar but nothing concrete, so the times for this are gonna change, so bear with me:

Celebration of Thunder-Sky -> This takes place on the second day of Spring, and happens only biannually instead of annually, like the Celebration of River. It takes place once within the Vigil of Thunder (and later the Modern Vigil of Sky) camp(s). Then, a larger celebration is had the same Gathering that month. They play games, enjoy snacks, and just reflect on how far everyone has come.

Celebration of River -> This takes place on the first day of Summer, and annually celebrates the foundation of the Vigil of River among the existing Vigils at that time, which would be the ancient Vigil of Sky and the Vigil of Thunder. The celebration happens at both the Vigil of River's camp on the actual date, and another celebration at the Gathering for that moon. They play games, enjoy snacks, and just reflect on how far everyone has come.

Windbreak Treaty Festival -> Takes place on the fifth day of Autumn and celebrates the end of the first Holy war over the Mooneye, considered the "Blood over the Mooneye" conflict. The war itself will be focused on in the big timeline post. They celebrate the Windbreak Treaty Agreement with a feast during the Gathering that moon, and a day of silence at the Vigil of Wind camp on the date, to respect the dead.

I should note that there aren't any holidays in the Wintertime (as of right now) because nothing major has happened in Winter yet. However, as I plan more of the arcs out, this will change! Hopefully! I think!

4) The Oakbranch Laws (aka Oakstar's Laws) are a collection of laws proposed by Oakstar the II. They were restrictions on herbs available to nursing queens, stricter borders for every vigil, the almost removal of the Law of a Queen (aka Queen's Rights), and generally stronger restrictions on what the younger cats of the vigils could do. It failed at the Gathering, with the leaders voting 3-1 against it's introduction. However, a lot of cats still practice them in culture due to how they were introduced. Generally an issue, really!!! i'll have to make more posts expanding on this in the future! :3
