Author versus books! Hi gentlefolk, I'm Noah, and I write queer fantasy books with disabled and/or neurodivergent characters. ✡️🏳️‍⚧️
The Eternal Machine was my debut book, and it's the first in an dark steampunk fantasy series with morally wrecked fae and a love triangle that develops into a polycule. 🏴‍☠️🗡️
Phantom and Rook is a cozy urban fantasy, with found family, forgotten love, and mental health discussion. I'm hosting a Read-Along for this on Halloween, and I'll be revealing the cover for the next book soon! Each book in this series features a different couple, and the next is dark academia chaos. 🍁✨
The Rebel Foxes is the last book I released, and it's the first one under my new pen name, Noah Hawthorne. It's a dark and dieselpunk standalone in an interconnected series. It's full of mutant shifters hellbent on breaking society, T4T, and a polyamorous relationship.🔥🐾
Here's my Linktree, where you can find my books, playlists, and more.

hello! what's the last book you read that you'd recommend to others? have a great day! :)
The Aeronaut's Windlass, by Jim Butcher.
It has a swashbuckling steampunk airship captain, at least four well-rounded female characters, terrifying but still human villains, talking cats (with cat culture), magic that drives its users insane (but they are not simply shut away, instead they continue to interact with society like your eccentric uncle--if he could kill you with his brain), fantasy with a (probably) sci-fi backstory, half-humans, a well-developed fantasy setting, political intrigue, and at least two more books in the series. I just don't know what else you could want? Botany? Possibly later in the series.

Do you love listening to Audiobooks?
Do you love listening to Audiobooks?
MAD CAP Then we’ve got the fix for you. Love a great fantasy adventure? How about strong female characters with a sprinkling of scifi? Then Mad Cap by Charity Ayres will be right up your alley. Pillage, plunder, mayhem, and wicked magical tattoos… …sounds like the perfect life for pirate Captain Maggy Low. Her life is a dream of violent chaos if you don’t count the fact that magic causes her…

Things they better put in TLOVM in no particular order pt 7 of ?
Percy and Scanlan bonding over their shared desire to steal an airship. Seriously they talked about it multiple times lmfao. Like 3 separate episodes! (I just counted, it's actually 7 episodes, lol).
2:34:52 of episode 57 one example of this. Go to the transcripts and type in Airship and you'll see what I mean! in the 40's and 50's they really want to steal an airship! Ok I just scanned through, and they state a desire to steal an airship in Episodes 42, 43, 45, 56, 57, 65, and 67. And I genuinely believe they only shut up about STEALING an airship because that's when they actually got their hands on one through legal means. (And were disappointed about not being able to steal it lol). This is JUST them talking about stealing an airship, not them geeking out about airships once they're actually on one which would definitely add to the list.
Honorable mention to episode 64 where Scanlan gets excited about the prospect of airships and just goes "Airship airship airship!"

Sky Pirates
I return with something I’ve been working on. I wanted to build the LEGO Elves airship, but I didn’t have many of the parts, so I ended up with an airboat instead. 🤷🏻‍♀️😅 I’m probably going to work on it some more.

It's World Book Day, and I'm showing off all the books I've written. This beautiful shelfie is from Luna Daye, of my original fans who has some serious dedication.
In addition to having all the books I've written, she also has the special editions of the first two books in my Iverbourne series and the @rainbowcrate special edition of Phantom and Rook. She has the original Misfits pin, the Iverbourne tarot set, and she made my first gay couple into Funkos!
Adventures in Levena is a queer urban romantasy series, beginning with Phantom and Rook. Each book focuses on a different couple and aspect of Levena, but they're all interconnected.
Take Me To Iverbourne is a queer dark steampunk fantasy series, beginning with The Eternal Machine. Its a completed series that spans six books, but as it was my first I'm planning on giving it a makeover.
The Rebel Foxes is a queer dystopian standalone novel with 1920s vibes, mutant shifters, and a T4T polyamarous relationship.

🌵, 🔪, and/or 🛼?
🌵 ⇢ share the link to a playlist you love
this is my playlist for a long-abandoned wip about exactly what it says on the tin: werewolves and medieval siege warfare. the werewolves are rival military strategists and they fall in love. the wip might be abandoned but it's always in my heart
🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
when i was writing Let's Get Married, i did a lot of reading about tang dynasty ci poet wen tingyun's career as a member of the literati. this is normal when taken by itself but when you realize it's because i wanted to translate his poetry into woolly mammoth conlang it becomes sort of unhinged
🛼 ⇢ describe your latest wip with five emojis
i don't have a fanfic wip right now so you get my original fiction!!!

Artfight Attack for Amayaisokay that I did last month. I had a lot of fun with the background, its the pirate city of tortuga on the back of a turtle dragon from A starlit sea as seen from the ghost ship that belongs to Fergus Hadler II. Captain Reizedera and her are relaxing and getting to know each other better. I had trouble nailing down the poses. It was my first step back into using limited references and I think my anatomy mental library has improved during draw everything june. They're not perfect but I'm plenty happy with what I have done.

Glamtober Day 10 - Pirate or Cowboy
She'd make a fine sky pirate. As long as she can stay on the ground. And doesn't need to pirate anything. And doesn't have to keep watch.
