DPxDC Sky Pirates

Some of you may have noticed that I love to re-imagine concepts and adapt them into different settings. So, today, I present you with yet another dpxdc fantasy AU, and this time, it's Pirates.

Only just 'pirates' seemed not exciting enough, so I have Sky Pirates.

Amity Port, a place on the outskirts of Gotham - a floating continent under the rule of Waynes. A town on the edge of the world, with only the Vast Skies beyond its piers. Flying ships moored in the docks, sails of all the colors you can imagine, taverns, inns, and shops run by all the people you know: Old Kinght Fright, Jinnee Desiree, and Lady Lunch, to name some.

Royal Guard Valerie Gray, who left Amity nearly a decade ago, is now back, and she brought guests with her. Two Princes of Gotham, straight from Bristol: Tim and Jason. Only they are not here for a simple visit.

A Sky Curse over both of them, with feathers piercing their skin from inside, causes them to seek the help of a skies witch since none of the mages, witches, or warlocks all throughout Gotham could help them. But sailing the Vast Skies with no clear destination is a task for no battleship.

They need something else.

A crew of pirates who never back down from adventure when offered a fair price. A ship that had sailed far beyond any trade would go. A captain that their Royal Guard can trust, even if begrudgingly.

And, maybe, a new friend that also has feathers under his sleeves.

What I did was I took the concept of 'Danny has Wings' and the idea of space pirates from 'Treasure Planet', mixed it with some 'Pirates of the Caribbean' aesthetic, threw in some magic, added a generous amount of fantastic skyscape worlds and a dash of adventures that end in love, and winged it.

I got a question, did Jay killed the sky pirates? Because, I notice in your first comics that Jay's hands/gloves and cutlass were all covered with blood.

unfortunately the blood that's on Jay in the first comic is a bit of both from the sky pirates and his own blood and he didn't use a cutlass.

Things they better put in TLOVM in no particular order pt 7 of ?

Percy and Scanlan bonding over their shared desire to steal an airship. Seriously they talked about it multiple times lmfao. Like 3 separate episodes! (I just counted, it's actually 7 episodes, lol).

2:34:52 of episode 57 one example of this. Go to the transcripts and type in Airship and you'll see what I mean! in the 40's and 50's they really want to steal an airship! Ok I just scanned through, and they state a desire to steal an airship in Episodes 42, 43, 45, 56, 57, 65, and 67. And I genuinely believe they only shut up about STEALING an airship because that's when they actually got their hands on one through legal means. (And were disappointed about not being able to steal it lol). This is JUST them talking about stealing an airship, not them geeking out about airships once they're actually on one which would definitely add to the list.

Honorable mention to episode 64 where Scanlan gets excited about the prospect of airships and just goes "Airship airship airship!"

Delara au

Jay is forced to marry Nadakhan instead of Nya, and this time Nadakhan's plan actually works

Jay used his last wish to prevent Nadakhan from marrying Nya

After getting married Nadakhan say "I wish to see my love" which just causes him to see Jay as Delara

Jay is forced to pretend to be Delara, having to hide his whole identity(name and pronouns and everything)

TRANSMASC JAY

Was given the sword containing all of his friends' souls as a wedding gift from Nadakhan

Becomes pirate queen 👑

"I wish you would just forget about those useless Ninja already" - Nadakhan

Lies 24/7 in order to survive

Is good at planning, leading, intimidation, and murder

Scrap'n'tap master

Main weapon is the soul sword(he can electrify it) "the hell are nunchucks"

He is very close to Clancy(plays chess) and dogshank("girl talk")

Powers come in sparks and linked to his emotions, forgot all his formal training

Eventually gets back by traping Nadakhan in the Sword of Souls and wishing to go back to when things were peaceful and he was happy and that Nadakhan was forever trapped, sending him to pre Skybound but post possession

He has to deal with his new old life now and is struggling

I've shown off my City of Heroes character Princess Pop, but what about the other part of the game, "City of Villains", wherein you can create your own supervillain to cause mayhem? Well, my main character there is a high-flying fellow called The Aero-Ace!

His backstory is that he was previously a member of the jetpack-wearing criminal gang known as the "Sky Raiders", but when they got their hands on a new advanced prototype jetpack, he decided to take it for himself and become a freelancing mercenary, or "freebooting sky pirate" as he prefers to call it.

He considers himself a modern-day Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving mostly to himself, with his preferred targets being private jets owned by billionaires, and military bases where he can grab some new gear, such as his cool beam rifle.

When he's not out pirating, he likes to relax in more casual clothes, grabbing a drink or two at the Pocket D.

Oh, and just as with Princess Pop, the costume colors are very much a deliberate choice (in case the pun-tastic name didn't give it away).
