Last Book: The Terror - Dan Simmons

Ever wondered what happened to the Erebus and the Terror and wish it was a supernatural story? Here you go.

This one was a fun read for me because I've always enjoyed sailing with my family; my childhood boat was a small sunfish with a black sail that belonged to my Dad in his own childhood... which... he named Terror. I remember lots of trips with him to go fishing or just to check out a sandbar on it, and he'd he'd tell me stories about ships, submarines, Clive Cussler adventures or whatever - and the Erebus and the 'real' Terror were always interesting.

I think it's really him that got me into reading in the first place, since he got me hooked on the stories he liked.

Years later when I was already an adult, in 2016, HMS Terror was found lying on the seabed under 48 metres of water in Terror Bay.

Not as fun as the book, still fun for the brain worms it gives me.

Last TV Show: Hannibal

Looking Forward To: Any sense of normalcy in the near future! It has been a WEEK with my oldest dog being ill (she is finally home now, and things are on the mend), business trips, broken laundry machines, government shenanigans, community drama, and general IRL life stresses. I am really looking forward to a weekend in which I have no plans, no obligations, and no thoughts haha.
