She's here!

She's a Customhouse doll, still not 100% sure which sculpt. She's 22", and her lips are parted and you can see her delicately sculpted teeth and tongue, just barely.

She's had her faceup partially wiped. I'm very much looking forward to redoing it soon.

She wanted blue eyes. She almost got my singular pair of silicone eyes, which are a lovely ice blue. However, I didn't have a non-silicone putty handy.

Here is the wig she immediately demanded for herself.

It fits really well and I'm going to style it for her.

She's really cute in this dress, and the one above. (Troll dress from @dollsahoy, princess dress from a porcelain doll.)

She's shorter than my other SD sized dolls, with a thicker waist.

Looks like I'm going to have to make her some clothes.

(Sarcasm mode activated) Oh, no. If only I knew how to sew. If only I owned like, 14 sewing machines. If only I had bought many many yards of gorgeous teal and black lace from the same seller, and she included rolls and rolls of bonus lace.(/Sarcasm)

Guys and gals, and nonbinary pals, I did it! I reached 600 completed faceups since I started this insane journey back in 2011.

To commemorate this huge milestone, I of course repainted my Resinsoul Ai in normal skin (though back when I bought her in 2011 this resin color was called "fleshtone") as I repaint her every 99 faceups to always be the 100th since the last time.

Here's every faceup I've given her in the last 12 years (I did this current faceup in October 2023):

I really like how she turned out this time. I'm still practicing working with acrylic paints, hence why her eyebrows and lashes aren't quite as fine as last time, but overall I am happy with her. I always struggled with my white watercolor paint, so I think it'll be good for me to expand into acrylics for detailing!

One last comparison of my 1st faceup vs my 600th. I'm pretty proud of my growth as an artist in that time!

I love how people bitch about the way META use their pictures to train A.I. to make "art", while simultaneously using apps to have a.i. generated backgrounds (that look horribly fake) for their basic ass doll pictures, to me it's death of all creativity, can't get lazier and more disgusting than that

Jun Planning Ai Sage

She's my fourth doll and I took these photos a few years ago. Really love her, even if her hair feels weird.

And here's some other old pictures of her with my Fdoll.

I look back and see how much things have changed from my early days in the hobby to now. I was afraid of touching them because of how fragile they seemed and I only wanted the smaller dolls since they fit so well on my bookshelf and the larger sizes seemed intimidating.

and now I'm just outright hugging my 1/3 dolls.

I do miss how almost magical they seemed since they really lost that quality to me. I obviously still love dolls, but right now, I see them as more of something for creative projects.
