There are a few dead stock Ari Roma, Roe Botic and Ali Lectric on Aliexpress under "novi dolls" that may have staining or yellowing from being kept unpackaged in storage.

You may be able to get your hands on the translucent ones too (the silicone "clothes" were melty and flaking though!)

I've also seen a couple under bratz (because any doll with a big head gets called bratz) but still pretty pricey.

I would love for them to bring them back, there are concept designs that would have been so cool to see in doll form.

been thinking about Novi Stars lately and kinda kicking myself for never buying one/asking for one as a kid despite having been Fascinated by them, because they're SO fucking expensive on the secondhand market, even in poor quality. i would love to own Ari Roma or Mimi Merize but i am not paying $200-$900 for a single doll

my only request if they ever come back: please god don't give them the yummiland treatment. these are just straight-up two completely different things

i don't. i didn't play with toys a lot or form deep bonds to them because all i wanted to do was craft. not much has changed there.

but i do have these novi stars customs i made as a gift for my kid self. when novi stars released in 2012 i was already an adult, but if they had existed in my childhood, i would have been obsessed. i've been super into scifi and Space Facts since i was tiny, and most of my art as a kid was comets and galaxies and colorful little aliens. so when i found out about the existence of novi stars, i had to get my hands on a few and customize them in a way i would have loved 20+ years ago. and also do now; i need to reuse that solar system headgear idea for a bjd.
