A small tip of perspective for those that struggle to navigate their own needs but are animal lovers / pet parents, try to approach yourself and your needs (and for systems, parts and system needs) as if you were trying to understand a specific needs profile of a breed / version of the pet aren't the most aware of and don't have the ability to look up. I don't know how well this applies to non-dog/bird species, but largely in birds and dogs, there is a large variety of needs depending on the species / breed you get and even within species and breeds. What one needs is going to be drastically different from the other
What sort of enrichment is necessary to make this animal happy and able to live to the most of their natural behavioral capabilities? What sort of social exposure and activity does this animal need to meet their needs and make sure they have an enriched life? What have they been eating? Has it been one same meal over and over again beyond the point of enjoying it still? When was the last time things were changed up? When was the last time they were bathed or given the opportunity to see something new?
Largely our system is a bird, and like any bird, you really can't keep them in a cage all day so we have system rules that we should try to leave the house every day for at least an hour and preferably go somewhere that has something to look at that we haven't done in a while. We call this the "Fly the Coop" time and its just a general welfare rule. Treat the bird in our brain like the bird it is and give it it's "outside time" because not giving a bird that would be very bad for them.
We also are a parrot to be specific so it is very important to give us something to work on, a puzzle to figure out, and active mental stimuli and enrichment. We have a very high curious and drive to learn and figure things out, so like any particularly curious parrot, its important to lay out a number of activities, problems, and puzzles for us to figure out and build on - as a result it is important for us to always have a list of skills and problem solving and creation related things availible for us to engage with.
We are also very social but we aren't so much the active cuddler (save for specific parts) and active affectionate type, so much as we are more around the ways of an African Grey or Cockatiel that needs passive company and benefits from a mutually engaged environment; so it is important to have people (or birds for our case as it fills the need) around us doing their own thing and even better if they are also engaged as it lets us relax in an engaged state. Mutual engagement is one of the solid bonding activities. Additionally, we fill our social needs often in the form of social bathing, social eating, and general social cleaning / preening, so when possible, its good to put ourselves in environments where others are doing similar and/or bring our close people and our birds into those activities with us.
Routine is highly important to us as well which again is a good parallel to parrots so we keep that in mind.
With the general frame work, we can really easily apply a mental check list / needs list by largely applying a "welfare and needs" marker for a "non-existant parrot" and apply that to ourselves so rather than trying to figure out what "We Need", we can just make sure we have made sure the parrot need profile in our head has been met.
Largely following the general caresheet for the specific type of parrot that we are has honestly led to a lot better self care and day to day management of our mental, psychological, and physical health so its a perspective thing I do recommend.

Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure
All About the Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure: A Colorful and Loving Companion Introduction The Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure, also known simply as the Yellow-Sided Conure, is a stunning parrot species renowned for its vibrant plumage and affectionate personality. As a member of the conure family, these small to medium-sized parrots have become increasingly popular among bird enthusiasts and pet owners. They are adored for their playful nature, intelligence, and the strong bond they often form with their human companions. This article will delve into the captivating world of the Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure, exploring its characteristics, care requirements, and why it makes a delightful pet. Body
Characteristics and Appearance The Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure is a subspecies of the Green Cheek Conure (Pyrrhura molinae), native to the forests of South America, particularly in Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina. These birds are relatively small, measuring about 10 inches in length, including their tail, and weighing between 60 to 80 grams. What sets the Yellow-Sided variety apart is its distinctive plumage. Unlike the standard Green Cheek Conure, which has a mostly green body with a grey head, the Yellow-Sided Conure features a bright yellow hue on its chest, which can range from a light lemon shade to a deeper golden yellow. This vibrant color contrasts beautifully with the red patches on their belly and the rich green feathers covering most of their body. Their cheeks are a pale yellow or whitish color, and they have a dark grey beak with a playful expression in their dark, intelligent eyes. This combination of colors makes them one of the most visually striking members of the conure family.
Personality and Temperament Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conures are known for their affectionate and playful demeanor. They are social creatures that thrive on interaction and enjoy spending time with their human caregivers. These birds are curious and energetic, often engaging in playful antics like hanging upside down from their perches or playing with toys. Their inquisitive nature means they love exploring their environment and can be quite mischievous if left unattended for too long. Unlike some other parrot species, Green Cheek Conures, including the Yellow-Sided variety, are relatively quiet. While they do have the ability to mimic sounds and words, they are not as loud or vocal as larger parrot species, such as African Greys or Cockatoos. This makes them a great choice for apartment dwellers or those who prefer a quieter pet. These birds are also highly intelligent, which makes them quick learners. They can be taught a variety of tricks, from simple commands like “step up” to more complex behaviors such as fetching objects or dancing. They have a reputation for forming deep bonds with their owners, often displaying affection through cuddling, head bobbing, and gentle nibbling. However, they can become possessive or territorial if not properly socialized, so early and consistent training is important.
Care Requirements Owning a Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure is a commitment that requires time, effort, and dedication. These birds can live up to 25 to 30 years in captivity with proper care, making them a long-term companion. Below are some essential care tips: • Diet: A balanced diet is crucial for the health of a Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure. Their diet should consist of high-quality pellet food designed for conures, supplemented with fresh fruits, vegetables, and occasional seeds or nuts. Fruits like apples, bananas, and berries, along with vegetables such as carrots, spinach, and bell peppers, are great choices. Fresh water should always be available, and foods high in fat, salt, or sugar should be avoided. • Housing: A spacious cage is essential to accommodate their active nature. The cage should be at least 24x24x24 inches, with bar spacing of about ½ to ⅝ inches to prevent escape or injury. Multiple perches of varying diameters and textures will help keep their feet healthy. The cage should also include a variety of toys for mental stimulation and to prevent boredom. • Social Interaction and Mental Stimulation: Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conures are highly social and require daily interaction. Regular playtime outside the cage, at least a few hours a day, is essential for their mental and emotional well-being. Without adequate attention, they can become bored or develop behavioral issues, such as feather plucking or excessive screeching. Rotating toys regularly, teaching new tricks, or providing puzzle toys can help keep them mentally stimulated. • Health Care: Regular veterinary check-ups are vital for detecting any potential health issues early. Like other conures, they can be prone to certain illnesses such as Psittacosis, Pacheco’s disease, and Proventricular Dilatation Disease (PDD). Observing for any signs of illness, such as changes in droppings, appetite, or behavior, and consulting with an avian vet if needed is important.
Training and Socialization Training a Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure can be a rewarding experience for both the bird and the owner. These birds respond well to positive reinforcement techniques, such as treats and praise. Early training should focus on basic commands, like stepping up onto your hand or returning to their perch. As they become more comfortable and confident, more complex tricks can be introduced. Socialization is equally important. Introducing your conure to different people, environments, and situations will help them become well-adjusted and less prone to fear or aggression. Start socialization early, and make sure experiences are positive and stress-free. Regular handling and gentle interaction will help build trust and strengthen the bond between you and your feathered friend.
Why Choose a Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure as a Pet? Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conures make excellent pets for several reasons. Their compact size makes them suitable for smaller living spaces, while their relatively quiet nature means they are less likely to disturb neighbors or family members. They are incredibly affectionate and enjoy cuddling and playing with their owners, which makes them a great choice for someone looking for a pet that can offer companionship and entertainment. Furthermore, their intelligence and eagerness to learn new tricks and behaviors make them highly engaging pets. With consistent training and socialization, they can become well-mannered members of the household, capable of forming strong, loving bonds with their human caregivers. Conclusion The Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure is a vibrant, playful, and affectionate bird that can bring joy and companionship to any household. Their colorful plumage, intelligent personality, and relatively low noise level make them an ideal pet for both first-time bird owners and experienced avian enthusiasts. However, they require a commitment of time, attention, and proper care to ensure they remain happy and healthy throughout their lives. If you’re looking for a small parrot with a big personality, the Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conure might just be the perfect companion for you.

Read This Before Buying A Bird!
There are some things to be considered before going to a pet store and buying that cute little conure or cockatiel in a cage, adopting a bird from a shelter, or homing a bird from a small independent breeder. Addressed questions: How much money are you willing to spend? Are you okay with the possibility of having a furniture-destructive animal in the house? How much space do you have? What is the climate and your neighborhood like? How long are you away from home per day? How much time can you commit?
How much money are you willing to spend on your pet per month?
- I probably spend about $50-$100 on my bird a month on average. On big trips to pick up perches, trees, or cages, it’s more along $200-$800.
- Birds are not cheap. They can range in price, but typically a healthy hand-reared budgie will cost anything from $50 to $100. My Peach Faced Lovebird was $140. I have a male Solomon Eclectus that was almost $2000. African Greys, Congo and Timneh, range $2500-$3500. Macaws range $2500-$23,000, etc.
- Cages are expensive! A good quality cage that is not full of harmful metals or paints, will cost between $200 and $5000. My SL Eclectus’ cage is pure acrylic and was almost $800. He will be getting a larger cage and that is $1500.
- Birds do need annual vet check ups, and they require exotic veterinarians specialized specifically in Birds. Because they need a special doctor, it also costs more. Co-pays are usually around $150-$400, and procedures and medications can be off the roof expensive.
- If you cannot afford to feed yourself, provide yourself with necessities and a couple wants, and are living comfortably, a bird is not the pet for you.
Are you okay with them possibly destroying a few beloved things in your home?
- Birds are often described as animals that take and don’t give back. They are natural foragers, and need stimulation to keep them entertained. Your parrot may chew at your door frames, your door itself, couch cushions, Leather materials, kitchen supplies, etc.
- Birds have extremely sensitive respiratory tracts, so if you aren’t willing to give up that lovely PFAS chemical we Environmentalists like to call The Devil We Know, AKA Teflon, then a bird is not for you.
- If you aren’t willing to trade in bleach, vinegar, non-stick, cleaning sprays and window cleaners, for something organic, trusted and approved by your avian vet, then a bird is not for you. It is much more expensive, but it would not only keep your bird safe, but also you safe!
How much space do you have in your home?
-Even if your bird’s wings are clipped, you need enough space for your bird to spread its wings and maneuver about.
-Birds talk a lot, so if you appreciate your quiet time, don’t get a bird if you live in close-quarters.
-Talk to your neighbors first before you buy a parrot if you live in an apartment or townhome. Yes. The birds will scream. Yes, your neighbors will hear it.
-If you want more than one bird, even if they’re the same specie, never house them in the same cage, even if it’s giant! Birds are NON DOMESTICATED animals, and it’s important we mimic their habits in the wild as to not frustrate them. Birds are animals that while in flocks, are incredibly spread out unless they’re mates or conversing. Birds are always alert, and are watching and listening. They need their space.
What is the climate like yearly?
-Where do you live and what is the temperature in each season?
-Do you get snow in the winter? Many people up north have birds, but it’s also more pricey to own a bird up north due to the extra expenses needed to keep the bird warm.
-How warm/cold do you keep the air on in your house?
-What species of bird are you considering? They come from all different habitats. The Peach Faced Lovebird, for example, is native to sub-desert regions like Namibia and Angola. Probably not a good idea to get a Peach Faced Lovebird if you keep your home below 19°C/66°F.
-Birds NEED vitamins (D3) they get from the sun, just like people! If your weather is consistently unable to provide these vitamins to your birds, you either need to purchase a UVB/UVA lamp, or you just should not get a bird.
What is your neighborhood like?
- Down in Florida, Texas, and many other states with high-demand parrot breeding and shops, there’s a lot of thievery. Make sure you live in a safe environment.
- If you live near chemical/manufacturing plants, or has an immediate family member that does, a bird is not for you.
- Birds are very sensitive to pollution. Please make sure your neighborhood is clean, because not only is it bad for the pets, but also the people!
- How noisy is the neighborhood? Do you live in New Orleans and pop big celebrations for Mardi Gras? Do you live in areas with lots of fireworks or loud noises? This can startle your bird. It can bring them stress!
- If you plan on flight training and/or bringing them outside on a harness, is your town/city very busy? Is there a lot of traffic? Are there birds of prey that live nearby? Hawks WILL and HAVE swooped down to snatch a parrot off of someone’s shoulder for a snack, and have even snatched them out of the sky while free-flying. Please be careful!
How long per day are you away at work/school?
- If you work a full time job and are a college student, you will not have time to take care of a bird and be able to grant your bird’s needs.
- How many hours a day do you work/are away from home? Parrots on average need AT LEAST six to seven hours a day out of their cage!
- Birds need attention, but not in the sense where you need to throw them a ball or cuddle with them. Being in the room with them out of the cage is even plenty to make them happy. They want you to be with them, but not on them!
How much time can you devote to your bird? How patient are you?
- Birds are a lifetime commitment. Depending on the species, your bird can live between 15 and 100 years. Do not adopt a bird unless you have accepted that this bird will be with you through everything. If you move, if you get married or divorced, if you have children, if you get other pets, etc.
- If you don’t think you’ll want the same bird for twenty+ years, do not get a bird. There are countless in avian shelters and sanctuaries right now, and it’s heartbreaking to see. If you wouldn’t sell your child because you got bored of them or were struggling to care for them, don’t sell your parrot.
- Parrots grow extremely attached to the people they’re used to being around, and in that case have many emotions similar to humans. They put trust in you, and rely on you, and love you. Rehoming them after multiple years of building that relationship can cause self-mutilating behaviors, depression, aggression, and even death from loneliness and feeling abandoned. If you cannot handle strong emotions and a deep attachment, a bird is not for you.
- Many parrots love to learn, and many are stubborn. They are extremely smart animals and among the most intelligent in the world, so keeping them stimulated with daily training is essential.
- Birds bite, and when they bite, it hurts... A LOT. I have been bitten until bleeding by an African Grey, I have been bitten by a previously abused Yellow-headed Amazon, I am constantly bitten by my Lovebird that I am trying to train to be less aggressive. Birds bite, and no, if you don’t understand why you aren’t allowed to scream “Ow!” when it happens, a bird is not the pet for you.
- Birds are not dogs, nor cats, nor horses. Negative reinforcement will only enable Negative behavior in your parrot! You must have the patience to, even when they bite you, praise them for it. You want them to know that biting doesn’t get a reaction out of you and that it won’t make you give them more or less attention. They will eventually learn this and try to find other ways of communicating with you.
- Birds do not bite to communicate by nature. You must take time to learn your bird’s body language. They will always give you at least FOUR warnings before they bite you hard. Please, learn to speak to your bird. They cannot learn English fluently like everyone else.
Please, let me know if I should do some more of these helpful pointers! By no means am I insinuating you should not get a bird, because I love hearing about people’s emotions and excitement toward them. They’re wonderful companions. I merely aim to inform people before they make a big lifetime decision like adding a feathered friend into their family!

I’m not sure how to word this but ever since i astral projected to the grey area (i still don’t know what it is.) and a Seraphim pulled me out of it because i almost got stuck, (i’m working on getting better at astral travel so that i don’t get stuck again.) i’v been feeling like there’s this thin veil between the me here in this life and my higher self and past lives. It feels almost like i forgot something and it’s on the tip of my tongue and i just can’t remember what it is.
Dose anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?or tips and advice on how to connect to past lives and higher selves?
This is what i know about my past lives right now;
In one life i was in Africa, i was very tall and thin with a bald head and two Cheetahs as pets, i was a woman and i lived on the African plains.
I found this past life by accident when i was meditating, i saw this image of lions and i followed it until i was seeing a African plain. Then i accidentally pulled that past life out and she was standing in front of me. i don’t know how i did it.
And the second thing i know is
When i met the Seraphim they told me they had known me for two millenniums but i don’t know anything other then that.
Also I recently had a dream that i think has to do with a past life? possibly? there was a deity in it, he told me his name but i don’t remember it. he said it was time to come home. i’m almost positive it doesn’t mean home as in death, spirit, afterlife but something else that might possibly have something to do with a past life or possibly my higher self?
any advice, tips, help would be amazing.

Savannah Cats
A hybrid of a house feline and a medium-size African wild cat, the Savannah is a troublesome and rewarding companion.
The Savannah cat is an incredible creature that seems like a wild cat because of it actually has a wildcat’s blood in it’s veins.
The Savannah cat is the outcomes of crossing a house cat with a serval, which is a wild species of cat from Africa. Subsequently it is a hybrid – a cross between two utterly completely different species- and by no means an exact breed.

Updates, Updates, Updates
Arrach (Scottish) – I’ve added this invisible horror yet again to my project, I kinda based their design on both the D&D Invisible Stalker and the Ettercap. They are naturally invisible, even creatures that see invisible creatures can’t see an Arrach, only when they die they become visible. Arrach aren’t very powerful, but their traps, poison and evasion can be very annoying in battle.
Caladrius, Melalo (Romanian) – Another variant of the healing birds called Caladrius, whenever a Caladrius absorbs too powerful (or too many) diseases it sometimes dies and is resurrected as a monstrous undead version of itself. Melalo also absorb diseases, but only from corpses after they spread the diseases themselves. Melalo are birds of diseases, appearing as two-headed songbirds with dirty green, unhealthy feathers.
Incubus, Alp (German) – While they look exactly like an Incubus, the Alp is much more powerful, they are bright white-skinned instead of nightly black and can turn into either a swarm of white moths or into a giant white moth. Alp invade the dreams of mortals and exhaust them from within, then feed on the breath, but rarely killing victims as Alps are insanely cruel. The dust that comes from the moth-form’s wings cause exhaustion and sleep, getting too much of the white dust will cause a coma.
Metminwi (Hawaii) – I’ve cut the Taka-Onna from my project and instead gave the Mr.Fantastic-like powers to the Metminwi. Now the Metminwi can stretch it’s limbs and body as it likes, turning it into an even more freaky bogeyman variant. The Metminwi is also my Slenderman.
Munuane (Colombia) – Swamp giants with the eyes located in the knees, they aren’t very special just the giants of the swamp. The skin of a Munuane is all kinds of green, and mosses grow over it.
Munuane, Aigamuxa (African) – The desert variant of the Munuane, but instead of having eyes in the knees, the Aigamuxa has its eyes underneath its feet. This endless torture made the creatures tough, bitter and aggressive. Aigamuxa have a dark brown skin and hard-plates grow where normally eyes would be.
Nemeos (Greek) – Nemeos are powerful and magical lion creatures, their manes are covered with arrows and the weapons of their victims, their skin is very tough and hard to pierce with normal weapons, only magic and very powerful magical weapons can harm a Nemeos.
Nemeos, Mngwa (African) – Undead variants of the Nemeos, these black and grey monsters only appear during the night, during the day they simply don’t exist in this world. Like the Nemeos their skin is very hard to pierce with non-magical weapons, only holy weapons and spells are said to be able to hurt a Mngwa. They always spawn from the same location during dusk and they disappear again during dawn. They have darkness and shadow based abilities, and just like the Displacer Beast from D&D their true location is very hard to guess.
Nemeos, Nian (Chinese) – Very powerful variants of the Nemeos, next to their almost impossible to penetrate skin, the Nian also has limited powers over time, their magical horns can move back and forward in time. They hate the color red and loud noises and those are its weakness. Nian mostly show up only once a year during the time of celebration to destroy the happiness.
Pard, Mishibizhiw (N-American) – The water panthers, these half fish, and half panthers have a strange magical ability, water will always flow behind them, so they move incredibly fast in any source of water. They are the fastest swimming creatures in the game.
Pard, Ccoa (Peru) – The air/lighting/ice variant of the Pard/Panther family. Ccoa are the only ones that can fly/hover. They control hail and lightning and are very fast fliers. They are based on the Snow leopards.
Pard, Zheng (Chinese) – The fire panther, these fiends have a thick horn on their forehead which burns like hot coals, being attacked by these demonic felines will cause both burning and piercing damage. Their five tails always move around in different directions, making it very hard for enemies to stay focused. They are bright red in color with black spots all over their body. Like their pard relatives, the Zheng is very fast.
Pard, Cath Palug (Welsh) – The earth and stone based panther/pard monster, like their cousins they are very fast on foot. Cath Palug can absorb stone and earth into their bodies, growing in size or growing sharp rocky spikes or other parts on their own bodies, they can’t endlessly absorb earth into their bodies through, only grow into sizes of huge, but not beyond. They are often taken as pets/allies of the Antaeus giants.

Poreskoro (Romanian) – Beasts and signs of pure chaos. These 9 headed things have four feline-like faces, four canine like faces and one tail which ends with the head of a viper. Poreskoro spawn in the core of the abyss where pure chaos comes from. They are very powerful enemies and use raw chaos to destroy their enemies with.
Scarab, Minceskro (Romanian) – I only added Minceskro because the other Childs of Ana were all there… But this one is my least favorite child of ana, Minceskro in my project are much like the Scarabs from the mummy movie, they crawl around in huge swarms and enter the bodies of their victims to eat them from the inside out.
Schilalyi (Romanian) – Another child of Ana, this one is a cold rodent creature with multiple legs, they always have a random number of legs, some have three, others have twenty. They appear as very white mouse/rat creatures with bright red eyes, they bring all types of cold-diseases with them and only live in very cold places.
Skolex, Bitoso (Romanian) – These horrible white worm creatures are terrifying parasites. They randomly appear in my game when you kill another enemy, from their corpse sometimes spawns a Bitoso, which lived inside the enemy host until it was killed. They appear as human-sized white worms, from their maws grow many tentacles with head-shaped forms, though without eyes and only with snapping maws on them.
Succubus, Caorthannach (Irish) – A dangerous variant of the Succubus, Caorthannach look much like the Empusa, but their fiery hairs are green instead of purple. The fire of a Caorthannach is very special, it burns and is very poisonous at the same time. These burning, bat-winged women love to spoil water supplies and poison and burn everything around them. While they sometimes charm their way out of fights like their Succubus sisters, the Caorthannach love to battle and can never stay in the charming role for long. They also throw green fireballs and use arm-blade weapons in battle.
Zoureg (Arabian) – Small and deadly snakes with arrow/knife tipped heads, the Zoureg are actually juvenile forms of the Jaculus. They can’t fly/hover yet and speed across the ground, piercing and cutting their way through plants, rocks and flesh with ease.
@rt = ABookOfCreatures
Zoureg, Jaculus (M-European) – When they become adults the Zoureg grow into Jaculus. These can fly and hover and their aura will sharpen other things (like rocks and weapons) around them, making them useful to many other creatures who want sharper weapons. Jaculus use their own body as arrows and spears and love to pierce their prey from above, hanging from trees until a victim passes underneath.

any tips or words of advice for people considering getting a bird?
Read everything you can, be critical of everything you read. Don't read one fact from one person and stop there, look more in to that one fact and see all the varying sides of it.There's a lot of misinformation out there, research in the parrot ownership is still a relatively new concept so we're constantly learning new things and determining other previously true concepts to be false. It's important to be in depth with your research, as much as we tend to want to skim a few pages and say we understand it's never that simple. There's almost always conflicting information and it's important to read it all and find a proper consesus. Stick to reliable sources (iaate [international association of avian trainers and educators], Sid price behaviourist), and Barbara heidenrich (behaviourist) are a few people/ sources I'd use to determine the accuracy of some things. I've got a long list of good websites and topic links to go to on my "/resources" page if you're looking for a place to start.Don't focus on just the good factors, look past the cute fluff, intelligence and quirks to see the worst of the worst. It's easy to say you want a pet and be easily swindled by a lack on knowledge when you suddenly find out your bird can't breathe because Teflon ruptured their lungs' capillaries. Be certain to read about all the hazards a common household has and behavioural issues that may occur. If you aren't willing to rearrange your lifestyle for them they may not be the best suited pet!And if you end up getting a bird a make a mistake here and there don't beat yourself up about it, everyone has accidentally had a bird steal food off their plate or get in to something they shouldn't, mistakes happen the important thing is that we learn from them.Get experience where you can, talking about birds is a lot easier than handling them sometimes and heck some species just don't get along with certain people (African greys are not a fan of me!). Head to shelters, even pet stores and handle the birds to see if you think you could handle one regularly and if the birds you're looking in to are really ones that you will be able to get along with. There's a heck ton more ideas and things to consider in the "#new bird" tag if you want even longer rantsThe one thing I will always stress is that as pet owners the number one thing we can do is never stop learning. The second we think we know everything we need to know is the second we stop taking the best possible care of them. Research is neverending, there is always something new to learn or something old you may have forgotten.

I would love to see your bird whenever you have time!!! African Greys are so 🥺 I also have birbs hehe they are so chaotic I love ‘em 😁 ~🪶
Okay well first off you definitely have to tell me about your birds, second here's the devil herself, Brandy.
She hates cameras, like freaks out at the sight, so we only have a few pictures of her unfortunately. But we got her about 15 or 16 years ago from a rescue, wasn't the nicest bird but she didn't mind being pet and picked up.
Then it happened.
So she's out on her perch one day just chillin, and someone didn't shut the sliding door to the porch, we turn our heads for a second and find her taking off out the door. We thought that was it, birds don't really have a great return rate, but to our surprise a week later we find her sitting on the railing of the porch, just waiting. We immediately brought her to the vet just to make sure everything was okay (they also checked the leg band) they said other than a little bit of weight loss she was fine. We're all hyped but she had changed, attacking out of nowhere, actively going after people, hell she bit a hole through my hand, did get a cool scar though.
But we've tried working with her, done every tip, talked to pros, nothing works. So we got her a big cage and have her set up in the living room, letting her out in this special room we kinda turned into a bird room because we do now own five cats and two dogs which could end just awfully.
Anyway that's the story of the demon bird, whom I love with all my heart.
#shes a good girl if you just leave her alone tbh#would be a great momma too#loves sitting on her eggs#thats another funny thing#when we got her we didnt know her gender everyone was guessing boy and little nine year old me is just like nah its a girl#then a bit later she lays eggs and im like ha! i was right!#don't mind me#ask#answered#anon#bird anon
