Escaping fate
Because when all falls short in the land of Vallen and the dark sea explores her shores, ripping away every inch of life and lush only then might we , the Malark, engage the common ground of deciet.
Did Andorsill abandon us to the fate of the oceans rage. Far across the sea. Did theAndorsilans heard our plea from the sky birds of the Vallen, only to shun us away into the dreadful mouth of the deep?
Legends that lurk about those waters.
Giants of old. Folklore our founding fathers sketched years beyond our own are all that remains of the visuals we might find outselves entrapped with if ever we should be so bold to leave the Vallen.
Yes, we should find ourselves in the great mouth of the Olyxium. Never to arise the light of day. There are cities in that monster. However long they survive before the creature digests them noone can say.
The lore has it, the unnatural reality of thismonster is just. It exists, as it has always existed. Therefore...those so unlucky to cross its path will exist, the same way the creature always had...great numbers perhaps reside in the underbelly of this abomination. Perhaps, this is why our forefathers never returned.
They lie there in wait, wondering why death never welcomed them. Wondering what ever became of their family.
Of course this is all just a story, noone truly knows. Cause well, none of us has landed in the belly of the Olyxium. But now, now that the sea grows anxious. An intrudes its way beyond our merry shores, we might finally see what the dreadful sea hides beneath its rippling waves.
An since Andorsill has yet to answer our calling. It seems the great journey of space between is the only highway to securing what safety we might have on the other side.
Lest we wait and get caught up in the secret of night standing in open ocean with our dicks in our hand.

Duke Thomas gets added to the payroll
Bruce Wayne (seeing Duke walk past his office): Duke.
Duke backwards walked to Bruce’s office.
Duke: Sup?
Bruce: Did you check your bank account? The direct deposit should’ve hit.
Duke: The what? Oh you were serious about that?
Bruce: Of course, you’re not only my son, but you do work for me and you deserve an income.
Duke: Thanks dude, but I can’t take your money I work at the library.
Bruce: Duke, trust me. You deserve this. I do it for all my kids… except Tim.
Duke: Why not Tim?
Bruce: Long story… he owns part of my company, plus he- he definitely embezzled a lot of my funds before I noticed so him working at my company is his paycheck.
Duke (alarmed): That was him?!
Bruce: Yeah, but that’s not important currently. You enjoy your first payhcheck and I’m proud of you.
Duke: Thanks man.
Duke left the office, checking his phone as he walked to his room. He nearly dropped his phone seeing the four digits in his bank account that had five dollars in it three days ago.
Duke (shocked, happy): Three- Three thousand dollars?! Woooooooo! I’m eating good tonight! No wait, game stop here I come!
Duke ran out the house passing by Stephanie and Jason.
Duke: I can finally buy a PlayStation!
Jason: Wait until he finds out it’s a monthly payment.
Stephanie: I’ll tell him later. Want to go tell Tim about it first?
Jason: 100% yes.

You need to write those self-indulgent drabbles, guys
As fanfic writers, we can't always write for enjoyment unfortunately because at some point we give into the self-inflicted or audience-motivated pressure to "impress" and "deliver". I completely get it, but that's freaking tiresome.
Reward yourself each day with a self-indulgent drabble whether you'll post it later or not. I promise it'll rejuvenate your strength and enjoyment for writing.
Whether it's a sentence or an entire oneshot, write for YOU as often as you can.
I take a moment whenever and wherever to write the cheesiest, most romantic short story for my ship because I love fluff and my head is filled with images of my otp being cheesy as hell together ☺️☺️ the fic doesn't even have to be good.
This makes me happy and helps me fight through the feeling of being stressed and jaded with writing.

it's not like they live on a mountain with other monkey citizens running around
Or also known as Oz trying to flirt (??) but it backfires on her.
set after BMW when Oz is living on Mount Huaguo, hence the hanfu and the neater hairdo
I think I'm also slowly getting the hang of drawing Sun Wukong without having to look at 81 reference images

Main action: thrust, pierce, stab
Main motion: horizontal with the tip forward
Shape: straight, often thin, may be lightweight
Typical Injury: seeping blood, blood stains spreading
Strategy: target gaps in the armous, pierce a vital organ

The Cleaving Sword
Type of fight scene: gritty, brutal, battles, cutting through armour
Typical user: tall brawny male with broad shulders and bulging biceps

Main motion: downwards
Shape: broad, straight, heavy, solid, sometime huge, sometimes need to be held in both hands, both sides sharpened
Typical Injury: severed large limbs
Strategy: hack off a leg, them decapitate; or split the skull
Disadvantage: too big to carry concealed, too heavy to carry in daily lifem too slow to draw for spontaneous action
Examples: Medieval greatsword, Scottish claymore, machete, falchion
The Slashing Sword
Type of fight scene: gritty or entertaining, executions, cavalry charge, on board a ship
Mostly used in: Asia, Middle East

Disadvantage: unable to cut thorugh hard objects (e.g. metal armor)
Examples: scimitar, sabre, saif, shamshir, cutlass, katana
Blunders to Avoid:
Weapons performing what they shouldn't be able to do (e.g. a foil slashing metal armour)
Protagonists fighting with weapons for which they don't have the strength or build to handle
The hero carrying a huge sword all the time as if it's a wallet
Drawing a big sword form a sheath on the back (a physical impossiblity, unless your hero is a giant...)
Generic sword which can slash, stab, cleave, slash, block, pierce, thrust, whirl through the air, cut a few limbs, etc...as if that's plausible

Merlin: I'm not ignoring you, I'm exercising my right
Arthur: I am the king! I say what your rights are
Merlin: Yes, and you have declared that I am free
Arthur: Free to be yourself!
Merlin: Exactly and myself's attention is freely directed to another part that is not you at this moment.

one thing I like about tazmuir as an author is that at any given time she will be like "here is a character," and I will think "that's nice, but I don't care. please return me to my beautiful Gideon" and then she'll be like "no. look at this other character under a microscope. they are so fucked up and full of love in such specific ways. probably they are bad at sex also." and I make a shocked face and welcome them into the pantheon in my heart, still waiting to hear from my beautiful gideon, at which point tazmuir will show me another character. and then.

"Weird Questions from a Weird City: Batfamily Edition
Duke Thomas: What’s your biggest fear?
Jason Todd: That I’ll never be good enough for anyone.
Tim Drake: Everyone hates me and talks about me behind my back.
Dick Grayson: Vampires.
Jason Todd: ...
Tim Drake: ...
Dick Grayson: I got turned into one once and nearly killed peoples. It's a bloodlust, you never know when you'll be fully quenched and every non-vampire is a succulent vessel... But I'm not a vampire anymore and that is in my past.
Dick eats his apple after that.
*silence*
Duke Thomas: Holy crap stick, Batman.
Tim: Can I change my option to Dick Grayson?
Jason: Same.

Insane that there was ever a take that Rapunzel is a ditz, i’m speaking more so on the Tangeled the Series side of the Tangled fandom of course, but even in the movie Rapzunzel has never done anything to display… lack of ingenuity or intelligence…
she was inexperienced at most and of course she is she was trapped in a tower since birth (?? or at least the movie wants you to believe so but that baby was wide eyed n lively so they’re not really selling me on that..)
that also ties into another complaint i have about people saying Eugene simply having romantic feelings towards Rapunzel is predatory and then backing it up by saying it’s because of Rapunzel’s innocence doesn’t add up to me because she’s not stupid? She didn’t fall for the smolder, she threatens to use the frying pan on Eugene when he starts getting suspicious and SHE VERY CLEARLY LIKED HIM TOO Eugene didn’t take advantage of the situation in anyway and it feels like another way to argue that Rapunzel has no self preservation skills when she absoLUTELY does. QUEEN TOOK ACTION WHEN TROUBLE WENT DOWN.
think about how the movie was a day long and she already figured out how to defend herself, properly interrogated Euguene, was NOT scared to talk down a whole bar of thugs and talked Gothel into letting her heal Eugene and that ended up saving her life.
Rapunzel has NEVER been depicted as empty-headed, she read stacks books every day of her life- GIRL SHE CHARTED STARS IN A TOWER!! WITH A BUNCH OF PAINTS!!!
Tumblr media
Rapunzel did more than yall ever did in quarantine give my homegirl credit.
