BEHOLD! MY CRK AU!! "Escaped Too Early"! (very creative title, I know. My geniusness is the size of a peanut.)

AU INFO- When White Lily Cookie was sealing the crack in the Silver Tree, Shadow Milk Cookie was able to sneak out from the crack without anyone noticing. Only escaping with a quarter of his true power, while the rest is still in the Silver Tree.

When White Lily Cookie became Dark Enchantress Cookie, he followed her to the Vanilla Kingdom and watched (and enjoyed) as the Dark Flour War started to unfold. However, despite all the distracting chaos, he wasn't able to get close enough to the Ancients to get back the soul jams before the Ancients disappeared. As he was practically useless in getting those soul jams without his full strength.

Years after the Dark Flour War had ended, he worked as a traveling magician, preforming cool illusional tricks and occasionally hosting puppet shows, just to make some cash to keep himself well fed. That is until he saw Gingerbave and his friends running after a crowned cakehound and decided to travel with them as he was bored out of his mind.

When the news that Dark Enchantress Cookie was making a comeback, fractions of White Lily Cookie started to follow the group, and everyone deciding to go to ruins of the Vanilla Kingdom, Shadow Milk Cookie started to think "Mmm, maybe I trick these dumb kids into getting my soul jam back once the time is right~"

BUT ALAS, he couldn't!! For he had grown attached to the main group, becoming a sort of fun, chaotic, yet protective father figure amongst them (think of him like the cartoon version of Beetlejucie). And he gotten so soft on his "good boy arc" that he was able to hear The Light of Truth a few times during their exploration of the Vanilla Kingdom, which he was kinda freaked out about cuz then he was confused as to why it spoke to him (still the master of deceit, ya know?)

Tho he still holds some bitterness towards the Ancients for taking his and the other beasts' soul jams, at least in the end he got what he truly needed, which is loving and caring friends. Aww.

But will Gingerbrave and the others discover Shadow Milk Cookie's secret? That he's a Beast that had committed multiple cruel crimes and chaotic acts? That he's criminal that should be locked way? Will the Beast escape themselves and go after him for leaving them in the Silver Tree for so long? And will Shadow Milk Cookie ever get his full power returned to him?

Eh, I don't really know yet.

Hey! Are you ok with people tagging you in fanart they do/making fanart of your rewrite? Your Crookedstar rewrite has me in SHAMBLES and I need to make fanart for it like. Right now

I'm more than ok with it! I try to collect it as I get it over here on this post, which is also linked on my pinned. You should also check out the TVTropes page that @halogenwarrior maintains, I look at it myself time to time because she updates it pretty frequently and I like learning about tropes that way lmao

You can also feel free to ping me as you please on whatever thing you're making that I inspired! That thing on my pinned post asking people to not ping me on OTHER people's posts refers to people going to the personal works of others and making comparisons, asking me questions about my au in other people's replies, etc. Stuff that wasn't considerate to the OP.

All of BB's concepts are free to use and change as you'd like! Credit's not necessary, but I do like seeing what people are up to.

I only ask that you do not steal drawn art to pass off as your own, as I have collaborators you need to be respectful of, and would also personally like to consider doing commissions or adopts at some point. I don't want any mishaps about people thinking those would be free to use.

ALSO BONUS APPLEKIN MARKING SYMBOLISM:

I stopped writing the draft where I did because I had written a lot and had wanted to share at that point, but with the new update on BB!Oakheart being BB!Crookedstar's adopted brother I've already accounted for the apple-leaf-shaped markings that are on his eyes.

("Applekin" cats come with these very subtle eye markings that aren't particularly noticed in-universe, as an artsy visual sign of them all being part of a family. They're going to show up on everyone from BB!Appledusk all the way down to BB!Frostpaw.

You can see them okish on this chibi I did of Silverstream, but unfortunately last time I drew Oakheart he was dadly weaning sunglasses so they're not visible. Here is a picture of the crabapple leaf it's supposed to look like)

They begin to develop the moment that Crookedstar betrays Mapleshade. Slowly, subtly, over the course of moons. So slowly that no one seems to notice it except Crookedstar.

At first, he thinks he's just crazy. Worrying too much, seeing things that aren't there. But his brother's previously creamy eyerims start to sharpen. At the back corner, a streak lines the lashes back. The smooth edges of the color spike, as if needle-sharp trout teeth are carefully being planted, one prickle, one week at a time.

No one else seems to notice it but him. But he gets the message. Mapleshade "gave" him this family-- and she wants him to know she's going to take it away, too.

So please, feel free to do with that as you will~

When you do the math utrh Jason is like high school senior/college freshman years old doing mob boss shit. Like my brother in christ put that duffle bag down and go get your GED. I love researching for a fic

I needed to know details of Kon-El first popping out of his test tube and deciding “Yup, it’s superhero time baby”

And I also really like Captain Marvel, in fact I was researching for a fic involving the both of them as found family

So imagine my absolute delight when I find out it was a bunch of newsboys who helped break Kon out before he was done incubating and had his mind control code put in his head. Y’know, the same kind of kids Billy would be around as a newsboy/jr reporter in his older canons I like to pull from

And then I see this

And my mind clicks and thinks “That kid looks like Billy.”

And this the thought comes in of “What if this was Billy and he and Kon met before his whole superstardom thing?” To which I lumped it in with my “Billy adopts Conner (in some way shape or form)” thoughts, and now I have my Marvelous!Kon AU

Aka, Superboy meets Billy and is integrated into his found family before the world even gets the chance to know there is a Superboy. Then, when he does enter the main stage, he’s Marvelous, one of Captain Marvel’s partners in crime fighting alongside CM3 and Mary Marvel.

so my division ocs!!!! i never gave them a team name or division, but based on the ideas surrounding them, i believe the intent was to be a kyoto division of sorts, for the symbolism of kyoto at one point being the capital of japan and a kind of posse foil

i think intended for his sister’s friend to be ichijiku 🤔

his sister did wind up leaving him behind and joining chuuoku 😔

his speakers would have been a coffin with swords piercing thru it and his mic a magic wand with one of those tiny mics attached to it lol

he comes from old money and was proud as hell for it

also flaunted his dad was the prime minister

was attending kyoto university at the time of the coup. his peers had always thought his personality was insufferable so they bullied him after the old government fell

he eventually dropped out bc of paranoia over being found by chuuoku and also couldn’t stand the bullying

is still an annoying mf tho lol

since mr stonecold over there bore a little more similarities in looks to hitoya for my liking, i created shutter fly in response lol

i don’t remember mc stonecold’s eye colour tho and didn’t get very far in further fleshing out shutter fly so they aren’t coloured lol

with retrospect, i think it’d be cool if the architect was actually behind the city planning for chuuoku lol

mc stonecold’s speakers were marble statue hands with speakers embedded in them, and idk what his mic was lol

mc shutter fly had softbox lightstands i think are what those’re called as speakers and a camera stand as his mic lol

the kanji in his name reads 己空

his parents both physically and verbally abused him. on the day they abandoned him, they took him on a bullet train bc he seems to like train cars. they went to use the bathroom and got off a a stop without him

he himself understood what happened very quickly and by chance got off at nagoya

he was on the streets for months. by the time he found his way to kuugen temple, his hair had grown out to cover his eyes. it was kuukou who thought his eyes were metal as hell so he allowed kuukou to cut it for him lol

kuukou asked hitoya to find his parents to get them to relinquish custody

is very clingy with kuukou despite sometimes finding him scary. his scared response is to try to fight to protect himself and kuukou’s instinct is to fight back so they sometimes clash in this way

kuukou also sometimes falls back on the way shakku raised him while raising kikuu. but the first time kuukou ever almost hit kikuu was his last and told him to make sure he hits kuukou as hard as he can if kuukou ever tries to again

so their scuffles tend to be kikuu, a little scared bc he yells a lot, trying to box kuukou, and kuukou trying to restrain him without hurting him. kikuu eventually lets that fear go and becomes more of a snarky shit towards his father, very similar to how kuukou was with shakku lol
