Jay Headcanons

literally a daVinci man in the flesh—he can do/learn about anything (if he wants to). Circuitry, coding, wiring—he's your dude. Doesn't seem like the most detail-oriented person, but he is.

conventionally a pretty boy—his sense of fashion is atrocious (in comparison to Kai and Nya), but he pulls it off bc he's a pretty boy.

his hair was straighter in the beginning, but once he kept using his lightning ability, his hair became curlier due to the constant usage. he learned to embrace it, asking Kai for hair help (after a particularly bad hair day).

do not let this man near coffee, candy, or any stimulant. the last time he & Lloyd broke into a candy stash, neither of them went to bed for three days. The Bounty barely survived.

intuitively smart—although, barely anyone can keep up with his leaps in logic (RIP Zane, who has to compute as fast as he can to keep up with Jay sometimes).

my guy has a mind map in his room, complete with the red string & everything. sometimes, it's just small mysteries around the monastery and the bounty (i.e., who stole his pudding cup), or their current predicament (Garmadon with his Mega-Weapon, Snakes, Time Twins, etc.).

Adam is ASPD-coded. He repeatedly has difficulties with empathizing with the other characters in the two seasons. He’s hyper-focused on his goals to the point that he neglects to consider others in mind. He has a tendency to control and dominate in his relationships. These are all ASPD traits listed in the DSM-V.

This is the same guy that was A(. Completely ok with cracking someone trapped in ice and potentially killing them in the process as long as the person inside was not one of his teammates, and B(. Told the fourteen year old redhead with parental issues and self-worth insecurities that the only reason they were put on his team was because “there was an opening, you were available” in the most nonchalant way possible.

Adam from The Hollow does not understand how emotions work but he still tries his best. Like he is genuinely an asshole sometimes but when he knows he does something wrong, he makes up for it because he knows what’s right in the end and he still cares for those who are closest to him. He just needs the consequences of his actions spelled out in big letters sometimes. I love him for that.

As someone who has BPD I love Cluster B personality disorder representation that isn’t demonized! We aren’t inherently monsters! We can choose to be decent people just like a neurotypical person can choose to be a huge jerk.

…Also he’s giving Autoromantic. It’s a vibe. “I mean look at me! How could you resist?” Says Adam, who likely admires himself in a mirror daily and would probably kiss his clone if he had the chance. Good for him. I need the self-love he has. Go on casual dates with hot guys and then treat yourself to a movie night, Adam. Slay.

my mom and I started a Ninjago rewatch run and now I’m questioning things I never questioned before and I’m noticing things more part 1 (s1 - 3)

I was getting her into the lore and now I have questions. The recap.

I’m putting the read more as a warning. I like to yap. This is your warning. :)

season 1

-How did Zane never know he was a robot? My mom and I figured that Dr. Julien must have spent years and years replicating the human body, which would therefore mean that Zane would have things that humans have, such as saliva and some kind of skin (most likely faux skin crafted to look and feel like human skin). Otherwise, it would’ve been very obvious, especially to Jay and Nya.

-Did Wu ever plan on telling the ninja about the Serpentine? It was clear that Wu was going to keep things from the ninja, but that early on? Dang old man (NOT WU HATE)

-that Cole episode was very clearly a sign he was gay. Just an observation.

-Did the Serpentine really hate each other? How would they know to hate each other if they’d been locked up for years?

-Why did the ninja leave Lloyd there on the pole? That’s not very ninjalike of you >:(

season 2

-Not Misako hate, but why did she never attempt to give Lloyd to Wu? My mom had the idea that she didn’t feel like she had a choice and made a bad decision out of panic.

Every word and every action is filled with so much love, my heart has grown three sizes. Excerpt: Wei Ying toes off his shoes, changes into his house slippers, and pours himself a glass of water when he comes home. While the water filter's refilling, he washes his hands at the kitchen sink. This is all routine: Lan Zhan's routine, not his, which Wei Ying took and made his and which has the double effect of keeping him hydrated and keeping him closer to his partner. He's home late tonight, his backpack filled with books from the library where he's abandoned it on the sofa. Wei Ying thinks that, notes it, and walks past the backpack on his way to the bathroom. He notes it again on the way back to get more water and forgets it again. He has a reason this time: the lights are on. The lights are usually on. He gets home later than Lan Zhan on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Lan Zhan is usually asleep, waiting for him in bed. He's always asleep, and he always curls against Wei Ying when slides into bed. Even if he's sleeping on his back. Even if Wei Ying is going to scroll on his phone instead of rest. But now the lights are on in the bedroom too, so Wei Ying goes. The backpack, he thinks—he'll grab the backpack later.

am i the only person who doesnt know what their first memory was? like i have memories going back as 3 or maybe 2, but fuck if i know the chronology of them.
