Right now, I am coming back to streaming on YouTube with Post Void for Short Game Fridays.
This stream will most likely be extremely short due to its intense flashing imagery and strobing lights. If you are photo sensitive or have a history of epilepsy/seizures, I highly advise you to skip this stream and take care of yourself. I will be back tomorrow night for more Banjo-Kazooie.

Cyber Paradise: Experience Medieval in Cyberpunk
Tumblr media
Cyber Paradise 2D action roguelite adventure game aims at Steam Deck and Linux via Windows PC with a demo. None of this would exist without the creative crew at DDmeow Games. Which is working to make its way on Steam. DDmeow just released some serious heat — Cyber Paradise, their stylish cyberpunk 2D action roguelite adventure, has officially been selected for the London Games Festival (LGF). And to celebrate? They’re adding a wild new area to the demo that mixes future tech with… medieval England? Yeah, you read that right. It runs on Proton, but native support is in the plan as well.
Currently, the game is running smoothly on Deck. I think it should run great on Linux computers, too.
In their email, DDmeow mentioned they don’t have much experience with Linux-based systems right now. But the dev is planning to find an old PC and set it up with Linux for testing — hopefully before launch. Since the game’s built in Unity 3D, it already runs pretty smoothly through Proton. Which is why the demo works so well on Steam Deck. If you haven’t heard of Cyber Paradise yet, here’s the lowdown. It’s set in a dark future where the truth hits hard—reality is just a computer simulation. Everyone’s lives are ruled by algorithms, and when people die, their data gets wiped like old files, dumped into a digital graveyard called The Lost Sector. That’s where you come in. You play as Hayley, a hacker-warrior with your trusty cyber-dog, DDmeow, by your side. Your job? Dive into the Lost Sector, fight corrupted code monsters, and recover people’s lost memories. Your first mission is deeply personal—help Samuel, the chill guy who runs Mini’s Café, find the memory data of his late dog, Mini. Between missions, you kick back at the café, due to learn more about the world, and piece together Mini’s story.
New Demo for Cyber Paradise
youtube
And yes—the rumors are true. In Cyber Paradise, petting your dog parries attacks. Not only is it wholesome, it’s also a sick combat move. Pull off enough hit streaks, and you enter Turbo Mode, where your weapon grows HUGE and smashes through enemies like butter. Oh, and you can even craft Mini’s favorite items—like a digital dog butt for her to sniff. Seriously. But wait — it gets even more epic. The special LGF demo is bringing a totally new twist: a Robin Hood’s Medieval England-themed area. This part is in collaboration with the devs behind Red Rebellion, a historical adventure title featuring a female Robin Hood and Red Riding Hood saving their town. The crossover is full of clever nods to the past—like the Turnspit Dog, a real dog-powered rotisserie (yeah, medieval folks were weird). Also, an old-school table manners that could turn dinner into drama. At the end of the demo, a mysterious machine appears. Where will it send you next in this glitchy, wild world? Get ready to fight, pet your pup, and uncover the truth in Cyber Paradise 2D action roguelite adventure — coming soon to Steam Deck and Linux, with Windows PC. So be sure to Wishlist it on Steam and try the Demo.

Windblown Major Update: Revenge Mode and Exciting Changes
Tumblr media
Windblown major update seeks revenge in the fast action roguelite game playable on Steam Deck and Linux via Windows PC. Thanks to the creative minds at Motion Twin for making this happen. Players on Steam and Humble Store can play these changes with it's 95% Very Positive review. Motion Twin, the studio behind Dead Cells, just released a massive Windblown major update for its Early Access run. If you’ve been slicing through the sky islands or teaming up with friends in this ultra-fast action-packed roguelite adventure, this update’s for you. Let’s break it down in simple terms for Steam Deck and Linux via Proton.
New Revenge Mode – A Game-Changer for Co-op Fans
Based on feedback from Early Access players, the Sudden Death multiplayer mode has been swapped for something way cooler: Revenge Mode. Now, when your teammates die, you’re not left hanging. Instead, you’ll gain a serious boost in speed and power to take on enemies with a vengeance. But there’s a catch – the Windblown enemies get tougher in this major update.
Two Killer Weapons
Say hello to the Umbrella and Fiery Claws! These bad boys come with slick animations, devastating critical hits, and epic Alterattacks. You’ll need to tackle mid- and late-game challenges to unlock them, but trust me, they’re worth the grind. Whether you’re pummeling foes or slicing through the chaos, these weapons bring fresh strategies to the table.
Trinkets That Pack a Punch
Also in this update, Windblown gets major changes with four brand-new trinkets designed to make your Bleed and Mark builds even deadlier. One of them even lets you summon a robot allie to blast enemies from a distance. Who doesn’t like some robo-backup?
Fresh Skins for Top Players
For the hardcore Voltigeurs (that’s you, if you’re dominating Windblown), there are four new skins to show off. From the Toad to the Horned Lizard, these cosmetics scream style while you’re tearing through the toughest events.
Windblown | The Revenge in a Major Update
youtube
The Major Update includes Expanded Language Options for Windblown
Big news for Russian and German speakers – Windblown now supports your languages! That brings the total to nine, and Motion Twin promises even more as Early Access continues.
Gameplay Changes and Quality of Life Additions
The update also brings major changes, such as new accessibility options, better keyboard/mouse controls, and a Pause feature for Windblown single-player mode. Plus, the team has fine-tuned enemy behaviors and polished the biomes for a smoother experience.
Celebrate with a Discount and Danger’s Soundtrack
Since launching last October, Windblown has seen over 250,000 players dive into its chaotic world. To celebrate, the title is 20% off on Steam until January 2, 2025. Oh, and if you’re into banging soundtracks, the electrifying score by Danger is now available on all major streaming platforms.
This Update is due to the Windblown Community
This update is built on feedback from the community, so don’t miss your chance to shape the game’s future. Join the Discord and share your thoughts – Motion Twin is all ears. So grab your crew, sharpen those Umbrellas, and take to the skies. This update is all about making gameplay better and faster than ever on Steam Deck (verified) and Linux via Windows PC. You can find the fast action roguelite on Steam with a 20% discount, dropping the price to $19.99 USD / £17.59 / 19,99€. Regular price on Humble Store.

After having it languishing in my wishlist since Early Access, I’ve finally purchased BlazBlue Entropy Effect and now have to sing its praises after 3+ hours of play so far. Beyond watching a comprehensive lore video a few months ago I’m critically unfamiliar with BlazBlue as a franchise & have only ever admired it from afar as just a general Arc System Works fan who was more occupied with Guilty Gear. I’ve always loved the character designs but honestly might need to rewatch the previously alluded to lore vid to recall the bonkers story simply because of how I’ve been loving playing as the various characters in Entropy Effect. The game is a Roguelike yet has doggedly stuck to the fighting game roots of the main series which ends up genuinely turning the game into a fantastic Spectacle Fighter experience with various character combos that consistently end up producing the ballet of pain the genre is known for. It’s a joy to play every character I’ve unlocked so far with all of them having distinct styles that genuinely make me want to switch between different characters every run.
The game is also an absolute revelation on the Steam Deck; running flawlessly & serving as a perfect portable experience that one can tuck into for as little or as long as able - qualities I say all the best roguelikes have or at least should have.
Overall, it’s a hype as hell game that makes me frustrated that I don’t live in the timeline where Skullgirls is instead the underappreciated Fighting Game franchise that earns a quality roguelike spin off like Entropy Effect.
If you like fast-paced and varied roguelikes, Spectacle Fighters and/or are simply a fan of BlazBlue looking for a fundamentally unique spinoff from the series, then I cannot recommend the game enough! That goes double now that the game is in v1.0 with a potential roadmap that will bolster both the content & the roster of characters.

The Rogue Prince of Persia launches in Early Access on May 27
From Gematsu
Tumblr media
The Rogue Prince of Persia will launch in Early Access for PC via Steam on May 27, publisher Ubisoft and developer Evil Empire announced.
The game was originally scheduled to launch on May 14, but was delayed to later in May following the surprise launch of Hades II in Early Access on May 6.
Here is an overview of the game, via Ubisoft:
About
Experience a fast-paced, challenging but accessible roguelite as you master acrobatic moves and flow seamlessly between platforming and combat. Find new weapons, equip trinkets with special effects and upgrade them to make your own builds. Discover new characters, information and areas as you try to find a way to save Persia from a Hun invasion and become the hero you have always wanted to be.
Key Features
A Persia in Peril – Lead the Prince in his fight against a Hun army corrupted by dark shamanic magic and find your place in the royal family as you explore a vibrant reinterpretation of Persia. Put the pieces of the puzzle together and discover new areas as you enter the fight again and again, meeting a cast of colorful characters through non-linear story progression.
Become the Prince of Persia – Flow seamlessly between platforming and combat, using your acrobatic moves to outmaneuver and outsmart your enemies. Use the iconic wall-run to open new routes of attack, avoid traps and explore hard to reach areas. Kick and dodge to manage groups of enemies when the odds are against you.
Adapt and Improve on the Run – Choose from a variety of deadly weapons and equip new medallions each run to unleash devastating effects, giving you the freedom to change your fighting style as you wish. Secondary weapons offer even more options, from bows to shields to grappling hooks. Switch your loadout mid-run to adapt to new challenges.
Rise to Meet the Challenge – Unlock new weapons and medallions and learn from your mistakes to become more powerful with every death. New challenges await you each time as every level is procedurally generated, so no two runs are ever the same.
