Anthony Sanchez is set to executed for a crime he likely didn’t commit on September 21st - around four weeks from the time of making this post. If there is doubt about someone’s guilt, all of the evidence should be thoroughly examined and DNA testing should be done to definitively rule someone out or find the one responsible for the crime. Anthony isn’t being given that chance which is objectively unfair given the information that has since come to light.

Sunday, Nov 12: Pan-Canadian Actions

Last weekend saw historic mobilizations for Palestinian Youth Movement's international day of action. Tens of thousands of people took to the streets in 30 cities to demand a ceasefire, to stop the siege on Gaza, and an end to Canadian complicity.

Now, we're building on that momentum. Labour for Palestine has endorsed the Sunday November 12th Canadian day of action as the next step in pressuring our government to stop selling arms to Israel and end its support for genocide.

Over 200 organizations, unions, and faith groups have endorsed November 12th and are organizing demonstrations.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries spoke at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network 2024 Convention, activists and organizers from Black Alliance for Peace and PSL disrupted the event. They denounced Jeffries and Sharpton as Black Misleaders, boldly proclaiming that the duo doesn’t represent the majority of Black/African people and instead provides a Blackface cover to U.S. imperialism. Jeffries received over $700,000 in Israel lobby funding in the last election cycle alone. Last year, Jeffries led a bipartisan Congressional delegation to the CARICOM Heads of Government Conference where NO HAITIANS were in the room as the the invasion and occupation of the country was planned. The collective liberation of Africa and Africans is not guaranteed without the liberation of Palestine, Haiti, or even the Borough of Brooklyn that Jeffries was elected to represent instead of approving more money to IOF-trained NYPD!

Members of the Jewish community who indicate so when they sign on to this petition are also adding their name to the following stand-alone statement: JEWISH COMMUNITY STATEMENT OPPOSING THE GAS CHAMBER Jewish tradition presents somewhat contradictory statements regarding the death penalty. While the Torah permits the death penalty, the Talmud, in Tractate Sanhedrin, imposes severe limits on capital punishment even where the crime is murder. Contemporary US laws do not meet the standards for fairness and accuracy as articulated in Jewish law. Today we are writing not about the death penalty as a whole, but about proposed forms of execution. Certainly there are members of Jewish communities in states using the gas chamber who support the death penalty in concept or in practice. However, we stand united in opposition to the introduction of the gas chamber as a form of execution. We do not suggest comparisons to the atrocities of Nazi Germany under which millions of our relatives were murdered, many by suffocation in sealed chambers. Still, we cannot imagine it possible that Jewish communities anywhere could stand by while prisoners are executed by the state in our names, using any variation of that mechanism. Therefore, the undersigned Rabbis, Cantors and other leaders the Jewish community call on you to reject the conduct of executions by suffocation in any sort of gas chamber anywhere in the United States.

I finally sketch the Total Drama style artwork for Vice President Kamala Harris, the next president of the United States. It's my first time drawing a picture of Kamala Harris in cartoon style. ^^

So a few days ago, I saw that apparently, the Cancelled Live Action Powerpuff Girls (That was supposed to be a thing 2-3 years ago) had a trailer leaked. Everyone DID NOT like the idea in the first place. But it was really funny to see everyone as a collective, further disliking it more from the trailer alone. I was one of them. It was...Not what thought could hold a candle to the original animated run.

But! from this, always I have random thoughts of 'What-Ifs'. The idea of the girls navigating life as they grow older, is not that bad on its own. So I made a concept that probably acts like a 'Powerpuff Girls Z' continuation. Hence the likeness borrowed more from that show. While at the same time, I referenced the Live Action Photoshoot. Bubbles, may be that young woman who's still got a 'Bubbly' side to her. A literal ray of sunshine of a woman, is great with kids, and often is seen as a 'Cute Idol' due to her personality. I think she is more likely the one who puts on a brave face for others, and refuses to let anyone see her sad. She always loves to make people happy after all. Blossom I think could be more career/Business-focused. Very much organised, more serious, level-headed. She is still very much a friendly and kind woman at heart. But within more funnier situations, will her perfectionist nature shine through. She tries to be a bit more reserved from her Sister's antics. But at heart, she can never push them away, and will always love them to bits. Buttercup? Very much the outgoing one! More prone to spontaneous ideas, more enthusiastic. And while she has matured a bit, her brash and outspoken fiery nature is something that will always be a part of her. She's a bit more laid back sometimes, but will often be the first to throw in crazy suggestions. She is still the most toughest one out of the three!

In my opinion, out of all the acquired programming Cartoon Network has aired over the years, these three shows really were all integral parts of the channel during their respective times in the spotlight. To me they truly have cemented themselves in the network's history, alongside all the CN originals. (Yes, even Johnny Test.)
