One reason to be against the death penalty I've never really heard before is that it removes everyone's fundamental right to change. Cuz in my humble opinion everyone is capable of change (for better or for worse) if they really want to, and so executing someone is bad regardless of how bad they are because by killing them you're completely severing their chance of being a better person than they were yesterday.

"Oh but they'll never want to change!" Who are you to decide that?

please pray for me; I know I've mentioned this too many times, but I'm really struggling with the emotional aspect at work. im not taking it well at all, especially when patients die or suffer. it's taking a toll on me emotionally and I'm just exhausted when I get home

The break apparently isn't awful and might not require surgery, just time to heal, so he'll likely be in rehab for 2-3 weeks and my parents have officially started the process of getting a new house (and already got pre-approved for a loan! 🥳) so he can live with us, because clearly after three falls and four hospital visits since the end of August he cannot live alone anymore. Lotta stress and work and adjustment and it's scary but thrilling, please pray for all of us

My grandfather has been having heart problems and weakness again and it's possible that the unblocker in his heart (can't remember the name) is getting blocked or isn't working very well anymore, idk he's going to the doctor tomorrow morning to try and figure out what's going on. Anyway please pray for him and his health. I know everyone goes eventually and that's okay but I don't want another death anniversary to be so close to Christmas

please pray for me. due to a series of bureaucratic screwups, I haven't gotten paid yet for a job I started in mid-October. I'm almost completely out of money now. I thought I was finally going to get paid today but it's starting to look like maybe I won't and I'm really scared.

My little sister (12) told me yesterday she's not eating breakfast or dinner and she's still fat. She's been having a bad relationship with her body and food for a while but I didn't know how bad it was.

I am worried and I am looking a for a psychologist, I think I'll have to take her without my parents knowing because they play a huge role in her feelings around this.

Please pray for her. And for our parents.

I gave one of my uncles an encyclical about freemasonry written by one of the Pope Leos idk which one, I don't want to dig through his bag to find it. Sorry but I am speechless, I didn't know that @tinyshe was not well. What happened to her, how old was she, I am so sad about this

🫂 I'm sad, too. I didn't know her personally very well, we were only casual online friends. I'm not sure what her illness was but she struggled with it for awhile, at least for a couple years but my memory isn't good so possibly longer. I'm gonna be saying a rosary for her tonight around 9 my time (eastern) if you or anyone else would like to join me
