It took me a little over 9 hours, but I finally got all the chao race emblems on Sonic Adventure DX (Steam version).

I was waiting to do this after I got A rank on all action stages, but then I kind of stopped trying to do this... 2 years ago.

Yeah. Anyways, I recently allowed my younger sister to play this game since I want her to play SA2 before the movie comes out, but she wanted to play the first game first. I didn't realize that the chao garden is shared throughout all files. This caused me to just do this right away because I'm going to transfer over my own garden on a USB drive so that she can have her own fresh start.

I moved all of my own chao to the other gardens since I didn't want to have them age while I spent all my time focusing on one specific guy. I also thought my chao was dying since I already named it over 2 years ago, so I had no idea how long it lived. I was so relieved that it was just going through evolution.

But yeah, after all that grinding, I'm really tired of Emerald Coast.

I did this all without any glitches. (I tried doing the animal glitch before and gave up). I just gave my chao Chao Fruit. I think it was 2 chao fruits equals 1 level, so maybe it was 116 fruits. And since each one cost 200 rings, it amounts to over 23k rings.

Plus, the time has to feed the chao. I don't count the time it takes for the Black Market shop to reset since I just replayed Emerald Coast. It wasn't until the end that I just waited it out since I was barely at the goal I set.

It was all worth it at the end.

The little guy got first place on every race instantly. I couldn't have been prouder for them. As well as extremely satisfied that my hard work finally paid off.

This medal was well-deserved.

Now, off to get all of the timed Sonic Emblems that made me take a break from this game.

Snuck in the kill earlier this morning I needed to get the big achievement , Paragon of Argus, and finally got the title I wanted for my “priest”. A title that works in two directions and mean something completely different depending on how well you know him!

i think it is very silly to react to dropout's response like "why were people mad, you know the cast and crew are pro palestine" yeah exactly and if they weren't i don't think attempting to push a petition/boycott to them about this would do anything. the result of them acknowledging this was a net good. twenty thousand dollars

there needs to be a white flag backpack skin i can put on my wvw character that means like "i am a coward but i want to capture these ruins for an easy weekly achievement so if you could pretty please just let me do that real quick and maybe let me get out alive that would be great" bc every time i try to type that in chat i'm killed before i can finish typing

Fanfiction is so goated actually

No monetary incentive, just writing in one's free time. Some incentive for like kudos and comments, because who doesn't want to hear that someone else enjoyed what they wrote. Just writing a story that is good and/or enjoyable, no real-life pressure to keep it going because god forbid you and other people are depending on it financially.

Writing a story because you want to write a good story, so you can write what they want the way you want, at a pace that is realistic for you, with exactly the plot pacing you want there to be.

rtgame playing Minecraft proper for the first time since 12? Ish years ago was really eye opening for at least gauging the actual game design of Minecraft because on his own, Daniel figured out basically the intended ways of beating the different bosses. Like most Minecraft players become so jaded and pre-aware of all the hacks and tips and tricks but he just discovers all this on his own, like figuring out the mechanics of the warden and sculk sensors, problem solving the ocean monument, etc. he's a goddamn gamer and he managed to figure most of it out on his own (plus twitch chat helping) being able to explain it's mechanics in a natural and discoverable way is great game design

Of course the game doesn't hold your hand all the way and some things are painful to progress, for example having to unlock recipes means slow means to goals, the rationale I understand but when some recipes that are essential like shields isn't easily found despite having almost all the materials the player is still at disadvantage. Another thing is just basic features being a bit hard to actually guess just as is in the game. For example villager tables, how are people supposed to know the tables are meant villager jobs when they are hidden in houses and the villagers just roam outside clueless. Only reason Dan found out is through twitch chat

And even so Dan already has knowledge of Minecraft from since horses update. Beginner players who've never even heard of a Minecraft have issue because things are not easily explained. I think an issue Is how underutilised the advancements and achievements are because they give you hints when you accomplish something. In fact in the deep dark, Dan sneaked near the sculk sensors and got the Sneak 100 achievement, which hinted towards the sound mechanics and informed him sneaking doesn't produce noises.

It's just an inch resting thought as I rewatch the Minecraft let's play

The fact that the Minecraft movie is just a ripoff of the new Jumanji movies makes me so sad because I would give anything to have a movie of someone finding themselves all alone in a seemingly empty and endless world and slowly exploring and building and learning and finding life all around them and advancing into the nether and the end and I just want a movie that it actually like Minecraft ya know
